Solas dumped Lavellan and like I knew it was coming but wow is it cruel to take away Lavellan’s last remaining piece of his Dalish identity. Clan Lavellan (in Thalin’s ptu) is gone. Up until losing his Vallaslin other Dalish he could identify with, but now he’s lost that last piece. His Mythal Vallaslin was a mark of his heritage he wore very proudly until the moment he learned what they were. At first he was happy, and then Solas broke it off with him. Suddenly he was devastated and never felt more alone since losing his clan. Of course who does he seek comfort from but Dorian. A huge mistake. What does Dorian immediately launch into? How he’s going to leave after this is all done for Tevinter. Thalin’s already aching heart shatters. He’s devastated. Solas won’t discuss his decision beyond making a selfish mistake. Bull talks about killing shit as always. Everyone else wants to talk about the war. Thalin really feels like an outsider again for the first time since the breach. He holds his head high, he plays his part, he’ll remain strong, but his heart is broken.
