#inktober2019 entry number 18. Misfit. I took the for me easiest definition of the word (Ignoring the idea I had of a witch that doesn’t fit in) and going with an ‘ill-fitting clothing item’ definition instead. As this cute little witch points out, this hat is too big, even for an airhead like herself. I had a lot of fun doing this one though struggled with the poses of the arms and hands, I’m not entirely sure if I am satisfied with those and might in the future try my hand at this piece again and even add colors then. Inktober 2019: Misfit 📖: I was a young fox cub travelling to find my place in this world. Born as a half fox demon and a half.... well you don't need to know the other half. Anyway, it instantly made me a misfit into this society. My mother's fox family side is scared to take me in from being hunted and my "other" family side see me as a disgrace to their bloodlines. One day, I met him, that little half demon dog. Saved him when he was about to be eaten. I come to live with him, his mother was a princess so we live in a palace. We're still labelled as a misfit tough by everyone in that palace. But at least, we're a couple misfit in this world together. . A super late post because of night shift. Anyway, probably I'll won't be posting drawing based on the order of the prompt list because I want to tell the story about Yoona's and Connie's past. 😗and yes, in her past she met and lived with Inuyasha (by Takashi Rumiko). @Inktober day 18: Misfit . “All I can say is that my life is pretty plain You don't like my point of view, you think that I'm insane”. @BlindMelonBand, “No Rain” 🎶 . When I was 9, my family moved to another country (again). It was my third time moving in my first decade of life and I was in shock to say the least. Though, when we arrived to our new city, in the car on the way to our “new home”, “No Rain” by Blind Melon was on the radio. The lyrics and rhythm of this song touched something deep in me and made me feel ok. The little girl in the video -which I only saw much later - became my personal hero... and it made me realize that my being a misfit was subjective: I just hadn’t found my people. 😕 . I survived some of my darkest years, when I couldn’t fit in no matter what through the power of music 🎶🎧, paper📕📓, ink 🌈 and pens ✒️. I chose to be myself no matter how it may not please, and how hard it could clash. “Fitting in” always backfired, so I stuck to what felt right. 😊 . Now, those same elements helped me find my people and I have to admit that I’m teary eyed as I write this: I have found my people through music, through the pen community, through my geeky passion for understanding the world’s quirks.
