El Mono Rugoso

I finished this drawing for my younger nephew back in July, but I didn't have the chance to scan it properly before it was framed and hung up on his bedroom wall. This week, my father finally found the time to take a photograph of the framed picture.

It's based on a story my nephew wrote for school: in it, some burglars broke into a museum in order to steal the Mona Lisa, but when they got back to their lair, they realised that they had stolen the wrong painting, and what they had was actually the Mono Rugoso.

(It's a pun: "mona lisa"="smooth monkey" , "mono rugoso"="wrinkled monkey") ^^

Inktober Day 5: Binoculars

AAAAH this time I'm a bit (kind of) fashionably late. But even work and life won't stop me! 😂

"Binoculars" brought me directly here.

Tarzan always had a special place in my heart (the songs are so wholesome! )

And Clayton.... is one of the worst villains: a greedy, opportunistic man of his time, blinded by profit.

Absolutely scary, absolutely realistic.

But thankfully all is well that ends well!

It has been hard to create anything at all in the past year, but I feel as though I am slowly learning to claim my creativity back over the busy, wearisome, demanding everyday -- so I guess that's growth.

Inktober Day 4: Exotic

After Day 3 comes Day 4 and I decided to challenge myself 😂

"Exotic".... Many things came to mind, but since I've been in a constant Dragon Age brainrot since basically forever( 😂) I thought about my qunari Inquisitor, Tsebaa Adaar.

Because, really, If "exotic" isn't the definition of a qunari, with an Antaam Saar on, in Val Royeux... I don't know what is. 😂

So here she is! 🩷

I leave this 4th day with glee and anticipation, see you tomorrow!
