Infertility treatment-: Which is the better one from IVF and ICSI?
Infertility is explained as an inability to conceive a baby naturally due to certain reasons. In this way, you have to visit the IVF centre in Punjab to get the right treatment for your condition. There are several infertility treatment options available such as IVF, ICSI, IUI, and so on. In this blog, we are going to discuss only two such as IVF and ICSI.
Tumblr media
IVF-: IVF is explained as In-Vitro fertilization, which is specially designed for both infertile partners. This treatment option involves the fertilization process, which means embryo development done in a clinical lab, and then those developed embryos will transfer to the lady’s uterus for conception. This is one of the best infertility treatments so that people can enjoy parenthood.
ICSI-: This is additionally known as an intracytoplasmic sperm injection. In this treatment option, a specialist collects the sperm from a male partner and directly inserts it to eggs in the ovaries for fertilization. This is done when a male partner has low sperm count or has low-quality sperm.
So, you have to choose the treatment option according to your fertility issue or condition. So, you must first talk to your specialist to get proper knowledge about fertility treatment.

Symptoms of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
Tumblr media
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) affects many women, often causing irregular and painful menstrual periods. PCOS is a very common hormonal disorder in women, and results when the ovaries develop small cysts and fail to release egg cells. The condition is named for the appearance of the ovaries in women with the condition- the ovaries become enlarged and develop many small cysts along the outer edges of the ovaries.
Women with PCOS often experience either prolonged menstrual periods or menstrual periods that occur at irregular cycles. Some women also experience weight gain or excessive hair growth. The condition can occur as early as adolescence, usually signaled by early menstrual abnormalities. However, many women only find out that they have PCOS when they suddenly gain weight or have difficulty becoming pregnant.
Doctors do not yet know the exact cause of polycystic ovary syndrome. The infrequent or diminished ovulation experienced by women with the syndrome may lead to difficulty becoming pregnant; however, early diagnosis and treatment of PCOS can reduce long-term complications.
If you had difficulty with your periods soon after you began menstruating, or if you have had difficulty with reproductive issues or unexplained weight gain, you may be suffering from PCOS. Symptoms will vary from woman to woman, but the following are some things that your doctor will look for:
• Abnormal menstrual periods- This is the most often cited symptom. This can include unusually long periods (up to a month or longer), less than eight cycles per year, absence of menstruation for more than four months, or long periods with unusual amounts of bleeding.
• Excessive Androgen levels- Male hormones, known collectively as androgen, are often the cause of physical signs such as the growth of facial and/or body hair, severe acne, and male-pattern baldness in women. The signs of excess androgen levels vary based on ethnicity, so this symptom is not always present.
• Polycystic Ovaries- The presence of enlarged ovaries with small cysts can be detected by using ultrasound technology. Despite the name polycystic ovary syndrome, the presence of ovarian cysts alone is not enough for a diagnosis of PCOS. Your doctor will look for other symptoms as well.
Other conditions and complications that can result from PCOS include the following:
• Infertility- Women with PCOS often have difficulty becoming pregnant due to irregular or absent ovulation. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is the most common cause of infertility in women.
• Obesity- Roughly fifty percent of women with PCOS are overweight.
• Diabetes- Women with PCSO are more likely to develop pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes, often as a result of insulin resistance due to obesity.
• Acanthosis Nigricans- Some women with PCSO may develop dark, velvety feeling skin on various parts of the body including the neck, armpit, thigh, breasts, or sex organs.
