Note
It may be baby fever (I shouldn't be having this I am turning TWENTY this year I don't need a CHILD 😭)
But like... Dottore holding baby. Hims with... tiny infant.
Or alternatively, Akademiya days where Zandik is working in the clinic and got an unexpectedly young patient - a baby. Cut to him just awkwardly standing there with a baby in his arms, just cradling it as his mind scrambles.
The supervisor had recommended him as a 'competent dastur-trainee' thus someone had dumped their child on him going: "Please help her—"
And he's just standing there, going:
"Wait, what—"
To no one's surprise, working in a clinic was not Zandik's first choice. He wasn't the most interested in medicine at this time, (at least not... this kind of medicine), and he'd much rather be sent out on expeditions instead. But of course, the Akademiya and their stupid policies always got in the way, making their students get a taste of things outside their Darshan. Though, as soon as you heard of this, you immediately signed up to join him. He wasn't sure if your company was a good or bad thing, considering how you teased him on the job. The work wasn't too hard, just boring if you asked him. You were always the one who comforted the patients though, that wasn't really his expertise, for obvious reasons.
However, the young scholar certainly wasn't expecting... this. It had happened before he had even processed it, the baby thrust into his arms before he could even open his mouth. Now obviously, kids and Zandik are just two things that didn't mix, he did not like them or like being around them, especially when it's a weeping baby. He's at a loss, a bit annoyed that this responsibility was just pushed onto him, and uneasy at the sensation, completely stiff and awkward. He was a smart man, but this... yeah, no.
"Oh Zandik, if you keep scowling like that, it's no wonder the poor kid is going to keep crying," you cooed from behind him. "Here, give me her." Without protest, he let you scoop the baby from his arms, soothingly rubbing her back as you took her somewhere quieter. Quite soon, you had the baby much more quieter. Needless to say, Zandik was impressed. These kinds of things took a talent and patience he simply didn't have. But then you smiled and nudged your lover, ushering the baby into his arms again.
"This is your patient, Zandik. You have to be the one to take care of her, no?" You couldn't help but giggle as he clicked his teeth, although it was much more bearable as the kid was more at ease now. And then for a moment, you took the time to burn the image into your mind, the baby snuggling right into his neck as he looked away, annoyed, despite the blush on his cheeks.
"Aww, don't be like that. You'd make a good father. I'd help you!" With a kiss on his cheek, you were off to find an actual doctor.
"... What?"

G.V. SUBBARAMAYYA,
part 2
My first pilgrimage to Sri Ramanasramam was on 8th June 1933. From Kanchipuram, where I had accompanied my mother to attend a function, I travelled alone to Tiruvannamalai. I was at that time in great sorrow, having suffered my first bereavement the previous December when my two-year-old son died from what the doctors could only describe as heart failure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For over two years I had been reading the works of Sri Bhagavan and other ashram literature. My main interest had been literary rather than philosophical. I had been struck with wonder at the style of the Telugu Upadesa Saram that, in its simplicity, felicity and classic finish, equaled that of the greatest Telugu poet Tikkana. I had felt convinced that a Tamilian who could compose such Telugu verse must be divinely inspired. I wanted very much to see him. However, in view of my recent bereavement, my immediate quest at that time was for peace and solace.
I had my first darshan of Sri Bhagavan on the morning of my arrival. As our eyes met, there was a miraculous effect upon my mind. I felt as if I had plunged into a pool of peace. With closed eyes, I sat in a state of ecstasy for nearly an hour. When I came back to normal consciousness, I found someone spraying the hall to keep off insects, and Sri Bhagavan mildly objecting with a silent shake of his head.
Sri Bhagavan was speaking to someone. Since he seemed to be in a mood to talk, I boldly asked him my first question: The Bhagavad Gita says that mortals cast off their worn-out bodies and acquire new bodies just as one casts away worn-out clothes and wears new garments. How does this apply to the death of infants whose bodies are new and fresh?'
Sri Bhagavan promptly replied, 'How do you know that the body of the dead child is not worn out? It may not be apparent, but unless it is worn out, it will not die. That is the law of nature.'
This was the extent of my interaction with Sri Bhagavan on this first visit. Immediately after lunch, I left the ashram without even taking leave of Sri Bhagavan. I came and went incognito as an utter stranger.
As I write these words more than twenty years after this first meeting, I still feel the glow of joy that was revealed to me in that first darshan. But to capture the untrammeled exhilaration of that meeting and the transforming effect it had on my life, I have to go back to an ecstatic poem I wrote not long afterwards:
Eureka! I've found it! I've found it!
the missing link of this well-knit chain,
the keystone of this unending arch,
the correct solution of this cross-world's puzzle,
the only way out of this vicious circle, the pass to heaven's banquet,
the patent for immortality,
the armor against fate,
the death destroyer.
I've found it! I've found it!
the meeting point of matter and spirit,
the spell of beauty, the enchantment of love,
the magic touch that makes all beings one,
the fountainhead of joy,
the true philosopher's stone,
the secret of secrets,
the grand mystery,
I've found it! I've found it! Eureka!

Dhyana: The Seventh Limb of Yoga
Tumblr media
As we progress via the phases of the 8 limbs of yoga exercise, we involve the 7th arm or leg called dhyana. Often, dhyana is utilized mutually with the practice of meditation. There is, however, a distinctive difference in between meditation as a technique and also the state of being that is dhyana.
The Journey of Meditation
Meditation is the technique of silencing the mind. In using a rule or a centerpiece such as a candle light or the breath, you are bringing the recognition within as in the practice of pratyahara, or the fifth branch of yoga.
In reflection, there is an awareness of the observer, the object of monitoring, and the observed. Suppose you are making use of a candle light as an aesthetic meditation. The candle light is the object of monitoring. You, the individual developing concentrate on the candle light, are the viewer. As well as the recognition that you offer on your own in performing the candle reflection is the observed. In this technique there is continuous idea. The job of bringing understanding to a specific activity, even in lack of exercise, is initiative in doing something. The mind is still energetic alone with at the very least one of the senses.
This initial phase of meditation, where recognition is existing, causes many healthful and also joyous advantages. Your body will achieve normal homeostasis. You will be calmer, extra loosened up, and far better geared up to deal with stress.
Between Meditation and Dhyana
The state in between the technique reflection and also dhyana can be called, glimpsing the soul. In Primitive Sound Reflection, Drs. Deepak Chopra and also David Simon refer to this state as Atma Darshan. The Atman can be referred to as your greater self or soul.
In daily living, Atma Darshan can be a minute where you go into a peak state such as when time flies or when you really feel that time stands still. Have you ever before rested down to have coffee with a pal, with whom you have not spoken to in a while? Delighted to catch up, you start to chat just to overlook at your watch as well as recognize that five hours have zipped. The transcendence of time is glimpsing the heart. A peak experience is additionally a minute of perfection such as watching a birth or also a transition into death.
In reflection, glimpsing the heart is described as getting on the space. The area in between your thoughts is the space. This is the room of boundless possibilities as well as boundless creative thinking. You are touching your soul room. As Atma Darshan suggests, you have these moments of serenity but are unaware of such tranquility until you come out of the state. The spirit exists beyond area, time, and also origin, and as a result can not be experienced within the parameters you are made use of to in measuring an experience.
For instance, you go to your favored Greek restaurant (location) and also get a Greek salad (things as well as origin) every Tuesday for lunch (time). Room, time, as well as origin permit you to gauge and videotape experiences in your memory. Yet, as the heart goes beyond these components necessary for measurement, you may understand you've traveled to the void by the sensations you have after meditation. Those sensations may be bliss, a sense of total wellness, and also unusual happiness or convenience in the body.
Thus, focused attention (dharana) and also sliding into the space are a training ground for complete understanding however are not the complete effect of dhyana.
Through Your Meditation You Can Reach Dhyana
Meditation is the pathway to the state of dhyana. Through the concepts and also one-pointed attention, you can appear to total recognition. Dhyana is the state of pure Atma, which is consciousness and self-awareness. Love reigns the 7th limb of yoga.
If you have researched the Seven States of Awareness detailed in Primordial Sound Meditation, dhyana would certainly equal the state of Divine Awareness. Love flows from you. It's not a connected state of love. Love with add-on is to items or individuals. Love with detachment is the resonance of pure love for God. In yoga exercise, this kind of pure love is called Bhakti. It is an innocent love for merging in entirety to the Divine. You can equate this to the kind of love that an infant has for his/her mother. He or she wants to be bound and also merged with her. She or he has completely surrendered himself or herself to her.
In dhyana, love flows with you and also creates a greater vibrational regularity within you. Simply as your Designer, named Purusha in Sanskrit, this divine love has the capacity to recover, develop miracles, and has empathy as well as compassion for all. The vanity falls away in dhyana as well as you transcend the boundaries of the mind. God's will actions via you when you have surrendered your will fully to Divine will.
Finally, attainment of dhyana is not with prepared it to end up being. The higher you seek it, the much more it will slip away from you. Your readiness for the 7th arm or leg of yoga exercise will include the constant method of the various other 6 arm or legs. Like a lotus blossom spreading out in readiness, dhyana will seek you.
As you strengthen your yoga and reflection practice you may discover on your own desiring to take it to the next level. Ending up being a qualified instructor can unlock to finding higher tranquility and also gratification as you teach these life transforming practices to others. Click on this link to learn more.

Eureka!

G.V.SUBBARAMAYYA
part 1
Sri G. V. Subbaramayya was a Telugu and Sanskrit scholar who taught at P. B. N. College, Nidubrolu, in what is now Andhra Pradesh. He was one of the few devotees of Sri Bhagavan who managed to be completely free and spontaneous in his presence. Sri Bhagavan appreciated this and the two of them had many intimate and entertaining exchanges. This easy familiarity suggested to some devotees that Sri Bhagavan had a special liking for him:
Devaraja Mudaliar, a prominent lawyer and intimate devotee, asked how Sri Bhagavan could observe distinction among devotees.
'For instance,' added Mudaliar, 'shall we be wrong if we say that Subbaramayya is shown a little more favor than others and is made to act as the high priest of this order?'
Sri Bhagavan, smiling, replied, To me there is no distinction. Grace is flowing like the ocean, ever full. Everyone draws from it according to his capacity. How can one who brings only a tumbler complain that he is not able to take as much as another who has brought a jar?'
In making this selection of Sri Subbaramayya's recollections of his time with Sri Bhagavan, I have concentrated on the first few years of their association. However, no account of their relationship can be complete without a mention of Sri Subbaramayya's final darshan, which took place on April 4th 1950:
Sri Bhagavan asked me, 'What do you want?'
I said with streaming eyes, 'I want freedom from fear'.
Sri Bhagavan replied with overflowing grace, 'I have already given it'.
At once I felt as though a heavy load had been lifted from my heart. As I touched his lotus feet with my hands and head, a thrill of ecstasy passed through my frame. And I felt like being plunged in an ocean of peace and bliss. That vision of Sri Bhagavan and his gracious words, granting me freedom from fear, have, taken permanent abode in my being and are guarding me from all life's ills.
