The Indus River is one of the most significant and longest rivers in Asia, running through India and Pakistan. It is the principal river in the Indus Basin, which is one of the largest river basins in the world. The river originates from the Tibetan Plateau in the Himalayas, and it flows for a total length of about 3,180 kilometers before it empties into the Arabian Sea.
