Honestly, I can't imagine the whiplash for a first-time watcher going from Blazar to Mebius. Like, who the heck is a "Father of Ultra", and why do they have such a bitchin' cape? Brothers? He can turn into some (very cute) dude???? lmao

Its a little wild, but also such a delight! Good for little Mebius having an Ultra support system. I'm grateful that the show is very gentle with it's references to previous series.

What strikes me the most is in one show i'm watching a nice young (Ultra)man, and the other is a feral Creature.

well we know for a fact it would've ended differently because they had planned a second season with a new design

still would've been bonkers as shit of course but likely would've been coherent enough to continue into whatever Red Changerion was supposed to be. but bc it flopped inoue decided to get silly with it and create the most baffling string of final episodes any show has ever produced. the ultimate "what are they gonna do, cancel us harder?"

I added subtitles and it switched it to a dub and I couldn’t figure out how to put it back

Episode two of blazar was phenomenal, outstanding over all brilliant. I enjoyed it so much! Meeting the whole first part was basically that Hana scene from Godzilla versus gigan in all the good ways and it was actually so funny and respectfully, RESPECTFULLY Emi Aobe is really pretty.

People felt real, at least to me and I enjoyed everyone the whole time, I had to watch it dubbed and as someone learning Japanese I would of preferred subtitled but you get what you get, I personally feel like the dubbing team did and amazing job and the voices blend really well.

I feel like the camera angles during the fight scenes were a bit to over the place, they weren’t really focusing on the fight and we’re a bit out of frame always like being inside a dream, I noticed it in the first episode to so I hope it improves latter on

I knew Bravern was gay because I had seen a handful of jokes about it (I'd pointedly avoided watching any clips though 'cause @indigoretsu said it would throw me for a loop and I wanted to preserve that feeling if possible FDGHFHG)

But I did NOT expect a... Love triangle (???) Between a mech, his pilot, and the other guy who wants to pilot the mech?? Incredible development. The contrast of Bravern himself living in a brave style super robot show while everyone else is living in a gritty realistic military real robot show is amazing also
