Action Comics #1065
Damn. That's a lot of people. More than there should be.
Not sure we needed to go with the Forever Evil origin, but sure. At least he glossed over the stupid parts of No Justice, I can accept that exchange.

I mean, it's not super fun if you only get his username. If you're gonna put him on edge, get better material. Prove yourself better.
I mean if I wanted to I could, but I think the username was far enough.
I think that was enough. Not going to go farther than that...
#I don't want to ACTUALLY dox him. Just revealing the account was far enough-#I don't even know him in person either so 🤷🤷🤷🤷#pkmn irl#rotomblr#rotumblr#pkmn rp#pokemon irl#atlas answers.#the indigo disk arc.

Finally, I can introduce Indigo aka Brainiac 8! Last one, and with this I've done 8 straight days of posting. Not the best week (pretty shitty tbh) but posting these helped take my mind off all that horrible shit. Hopefully it helped a little for you too.
A villain turned hero (then villain again) who comes from the future and tries to make the future belong to Brainiac! She'll be fulfilling the superman role in the group! Best of all, she has pink hair! Yes that's important (no its not lol)!! You know how long she's been in the drafts? Since more than a year ago!
In my last post, I was considering making a oc that would fulfill what I would like for my superman expy of the group but decided against having an oc for that, but ironically I did find a character who was pretty similar to her. The fact that she was actually a 'child' of Brainiac made her, in a way, more perfect for the role. A lot of the kids on the TrWh Outlaw team tend to be stuck on the border between good and bad, so Indigo will have company in that regard. I think at a later point she'll also start making friends with her outsider teammates from the comics as well, I've got a couple of drawings of them as well. I'll post them later tho.
Indigo's personality is split, because just like in the comics, she actually has two sides to her. A sweet, inquisitive, innocent but manufactured side and her 'real' personality, an evil monster bent on enacting Brainiac's plans. Her entrance is similar to the comics, she comes blasting in from the future to try to kill Donna. Unlike in canon, Indigo fails. Cyborg helps rewire her and Donna tries to figure where to place her. Donna then thinks of those Outlaw rascals making trouble everywhere and gets an idea...
Here was where I was working out her costume, I gave her a black dress cuz of her canon black outfit, but it felt kinda boring no matter what I added to it. So I changed it up. I also gave her a human disguise, for whenever she wants to blend in. I also tried to give her a name of sorts 'Aryrl Dox', tried to make it sound like Ariel but don't know if it works.
Also her hairstyle, I kinda styled it after Yukino from KareKano. Yukino was someone who tried to create a secondary facade to fool her classmates into thinking she was perfect. Her obsession for maintaining two different personas gave her a similarity to Indigo, so I thought it'd be funny to give her hairstyle to Indy.
Also with Indigo being the superman of the group, this means Jason/Vanessa/Indigo are the trinity of the TrWh Outlaws. Seems like Vanessa doesn't feel too comfortable around Indigo.
And Vanessa isn't the only who's uncomfortable around Indigo. Karen, Kara, and Brainiac 5 seem rather apprehensive about her. I said earlier that the story that introduces her is similar to canon, where Indy flies in from the future to kill Donna. Since this happens earlier in canon, the plot point from Graduation has to be different. My idea was to have it happen in a ceremony where the heroes(Justice League?) formally establish Steph's and Tim's hero teams (Jason's team mostly rejected doing this, much to Toni's chagrin). A lot of heroes were there so a lot of people saw the destruction Indy brought, so she's currently got a pretty bad reputation atm.
Also I made Indigo's outfit more similar looking to Supergirl's, perhaps its her way to make herself easier for others to accept her.
More Indy's and a little moment between her, Jason and Vanessa. I imagine they're closer to 13/14 here. You can also see me putting her in her canon hairstyle, maybe I should've stuck to it, much easier to draw tbh.
Also here's a bonus little comic under the read more:
A fun comic showing how Indigo comes blasting into the team's life, Donna can't help but find this all rather amusing. As for why is Donna introducing Indy to the team? Well I figured it would just be like her to want to help this child, even if that child tried to assassinated her. Doesn't every child deserve the chance to make friends and be happy? It's a major reason why I like making this au, giving lonely young heroes a more happier life.
A little bit of an epilogue here. It was very important to me that at one point Jason would meet a character that basically 'beats' the shit out of him and then would make him laugh. Basically a parallel to his own meeting with Bruce, at least one meeting like this had to happen! What better character than the girl who doesn't know what humor is yet? I think they're gonna be great friends, lets hope these happy times last forever...
And with that, my 8-day streak of posting is over!!! My poor poor hands, I think I'll skip next week honestly.
Well, I hope you enjoyed all of that, and I hope you all stay safe out there!!

Been too busy to post but.
[ID: two flags. The one on the left is an alt of the aroace flag, it has six stripes and goes from black, grey, white, blue, indigo and purple. The one on the right is an alt pansexual flag that has blue, yellow, and coral. End of ID]
This is a reminder, if you see either of these flags, please keep in mind these were made by people who got mad at the original creators of the Aroace flag and Pansexual flag for supporting mspec lesbians.
People who use these flags are most likely anti mspec lesbians/gays. Do not harass, stalk, or dox people who use these flags, as they might just prefer or not know the origins of these flags.
If there is any other flags like these feel free to add on but do NOT start discourse. This is just a post to tell others.

[Haven't dropped a fic sneak peek in a while. And yes, despite the word count, this is just a peek. Very self-indulgent fic on a Supergirl-verse Legion origin story for Brainy, starring a certain descendant of Nia's that I have yet to write for. For anyone interested, the fic is under the cut. 😉]
Querl Dox was easily the strangest Coluan that Nura had ever seen. With his washed-out blue skin and frazzled hair as stark as her own, had she not dreamt of him beforehand, she never would have placed him as a native of Colu.
The three circles on his forehead glowed dully – some kind of transdermal implant, she suspected. A body modification? They weren’t uncommon on this side of the galaxy, although Coluan mods were never usually so exposed.
He didn’t wear them as a mark of pride, that was for sure. They looked cumbersome on his thin frame, odd ends of wiry hair thrown overtop in a vain attempt to disguise them. It could have been how he held himself naturally, she supposed - hunched over like a moody teenager trying to mask his face from the world.
No, that was exactly what he was. A teenager. Maybe pushing late adolescence by now, just like her. Not that age meant much to a Coluan, all they really cared about was intellectual maturity. Still, Nura thought it would be a few years yet until he fully grew into those implants.
Maybe they were an aid of some sort – not that he’d ever admit to it.
Nura smirked. Not yet, at least.
He hadn’t moved since she’d started watching him. Comfortably unobservable from behind a screen of one-way plasma glass, there was no way he could have known she was there. It wasn’t until Mon-El and Imra entered through the main doorway that he'd known he had visitors at all.
He didn’t so much as glance in their direction. Instead, he remained perched on the edge of the single bed he’d been granted, head bowed towards his knees, the glow of his implants reflecting back against his face like a ghostly shadow.
This was the make it or break it moment, as Mon-El had once called it. The part where an offer went one of two ways. While many wayward teens would have jumped at the chance to join their ranks, appealing to potential Legionnaires wasn’t always so easy.
After all, this was the first time that initiation would be conducted from a prison cell.
Nura followed Imra and Mon-Els progress in a trance-like state, her mind dipped halfway into the future as her visions spun duplicates of the very conversation being had. She hummed along to the tune of the words yet to be spoken, mouthing Mon-El’s opening line, reciting it from memory.
“So,” Mon-El said casually, stopping in front of the cell that housed one Querl Dox. He caught Imra’s eye. “Interplanetary grand-theft auto, huh? I’m told you souped up some very nice engines for some very bad people.” He cracked an easy smile. “What were you trying to be, some kind of mechanic?”
Silence followed. Querl kept his head down, hands wrung loosely by his knees.
Mon-El wasn’t deterred quite so easily. “No, you’re right. Your talents would be wasted on something like that.” He folded his arms, widening his stance. “We don’t see too many Coluans this far from home.”
That got a reaction. Nura was just able to catch it beneath the shroud of Querl’s matted hair - a twitch of the lips as he bared his teeth at the ground.
“Although, I can’t say I’m surprised,” Mon-El continued, feigning ignorance. “With a family like yours, I’m sure it’s better you keep your distance, right?”
A sound rumbled from Querl’s chest, something that could have passed as a laugh if it hadn’t been for the jarring robotic quality. He rubbed at his wrist idly, scanning the floor beyond his cell. “So, you figured it out,” he muttered. “Am I supposed to be impressed?”
Mon-El pulled a face. “I mean, maybe a little. The whole blue thing nearly threw us off. Although, I’ve got some second-hand experience with your family. Indigo was one of your relatives, wasn’t she?”
Querl stiffened. “A distant relation.”
“Right.” Mon-El nodded along. “Like Brainiac.”
Querl flinched, meeting Mon-El’s eye for the first time. Behind that shock of white hair was an alarmingly dark expression, one that bore into Mon-El with an intensity that twisted Nura’s stomach into knots. She’d known mostly what to expect from Querl Dox, and she’d warned her friends as much. If Mon-El hadn’t been listening to her then, he would certainly understand the might of the mind sat before him now.
Querl wasn’t just some moody teenager. With one wrong word, he could become their most formidable enemy to date.
It won’t happen like that, Nura reminded herself. This would all be fine. It had to be. She’d seen it.
Sort of.
Imra took Mon-El’s arm, making out as though she was offering him a steadying hand. Nura could read between the lines. She disapproved of Mon-El’s method – she was probably giving him a psychic reprimand in the same gesture.
Imra Ardeen was a woman of few words during most first-contacts with Legion potentials, but that didn’t mean she was just some impassive tag-along. If anything, Imra’s job was the most critical to their success. While Mon-El did the talking, she was already reading the thoughts of their would-be recruits, acting as a living lie-detector to ensure the validity of their intentions. That job was made a little more difficult with the psychic shielding fitted to any standard U.P prison cell, but not impossible. She was well enough acquainted with the mind from her broad studies on Titan to read a person’s expressions just as easily.
Mon-El sighed, nodding almost imperceptibly in Imra’s direction. He scratched his jaw, clearing his throat. “Look,” he said levelly, “if you think that’s why we’re here, it isn’t. It’s just, I notice you’ve hopped between a lot of jail cells these last few years. Petty crime, mostly. Wrong place, wrong time, right?”
Querl narrowed his eyes.
“Except,” Mon-El hastened, “if you’re a Brainiac, that makes you pretty damn smart. Smart enough to know how not to get caught.” When Querl didn’t say anything to that, Mon-El relaxed, smiling knowingly. “Yeah,” he murmured, “thought so.”
Querl’s nostrils flared in irritation. Mon-El was playing on some very dangerous territory to dangle something like that over Querl’s head. Implying he knew something that Querl didn’t – well – it was the surest way to piss off any Coluan. Nura held her breath.
“Thought what?” Querl spat, teeth clenched tight.
If Mon-El felt ill at ease, he didn’t show it. Instead, he grinned. “This cell,” he said, “it’s Coluan force-shield tech, right?” He drew an outline of the cell walls with his fingers, marking all four edges as though preparing to take an old-fashioned photograph. “A few years outdated by science police standards; they probably should’ve gone for the upgrade.” He winked. “Even with power dampeners, your intellect is still unmatchable, especially with home advantage. You could break out at any time. But you don’t. For the same reason you got caught in the first place.” He tipped his chin forward seriously. “Want me to keep going?”
Querl scoffed, though Nura could hear the strain in it.
Mon-El didn’t need much encouragement. “Okay, well, the last ship you souped up was being used as a getaway vehicle for a string of interplanetary robberies. The most recent robbery, the one that got you and the rest of your little crew incarcerated – huh - it’s pretty interesting. Your ship gets into a chase with the science police, and in the process, it ends up on a collision course with a civilian air-car. Your ship has shielding, it’d be fine, but that civilian ship would’ve been blown out of the sky. No survivors.”
Querl’s glare was practically poisonous.
“Weird, then,” Mon-El continued amiably, “that before both ships can collide, yours experiences a total power loss. Stalls and starts falling mid-flight, giving the authorities the opportunity to snag your ship before it can do any damage. Now, they’re saying it was an engine malfunction on all the official documentation, and maybe that’s true. But I’m thinking with your skill, there’s no way that engine went in faulty.” He crossed his arms behind his back. “Do you want to know what I think? I think someone tampered with it in a way that would’ve been totally imperceptible to the rest of the crew. Because the person that did it not only built it, but wouldn’t have needed to touch it at all.”
“Are you accusing me of something?” Querl muttered. He made a flippant gesture to his cell. “Because if you are, then I think you’ll find I’m already in the right place.”
Mon-El shook his head slowly. “See, I don’t think you are.” He stepped forward, just as Imra did the same. “My name’s Mon-El, and this is Imra Ardeen. We represent the Legion of Superheroes. We’re a pretty small organisation right now, but we’ve built up something of a reputation here on Earth - as well as the rest of the United Planets thanks to some of our newest members. We have a set of rules, but the most important one is to put the needs of the people before our own. To protect life. Never kill.” His lips quirked. “I’d say you displayed that admirably.”
Nura watched wide-eyed from her invisible vantage, knuckles pressed tight against her lips. She’d seen the outcome of the day’s events a dozen times over in her dreams, but even that wasn’t enough to quell her anxiety. Something felt wrong. She just couldn’t put her finger on what it was.
As though in answer to her fears, Querl drew back, enough that he could look Mon-El squarely in the eye. His hair fell away from his face, drawing around the edges of his implants like a display curtain. “Mon-El. Yes,” he breathed the word slowly, his dark eyes glistening with knowledge far beyond his years, “I know who you are.” He cocked his head suddenly. “It always causes a stir when someone breaks the boundaries of spacetime. You are from the past. From a dead world. The sister planet of Krypton.” His lips curled with disdain. “Daxam.”
Nura swore under her breath. Out in the cell room, Mon-El nodded, a touch of defensiveness in his tone. “Yes—"
But Querl didn’t let him finish. “You profess these ideals,” he spat, “and yet you have built a monument to your hubris with this… Legion.” He sneered at them both, drawing his fire on Imra next. “You wear your Saturn identifier with pride, Titanian. Telepathy is a most valuable gift in the art of subterfuge.” He narrowed his eyes. “All I see here is a collection of powers you can utilise to meet your own ends. And nothing good comes out of that.”
Nura jolted towards the glass as another dream claimed her, Mon-El’s words flashing in her mind seconds before they touched his lips.
“Don’t say it,” she gasped.
But it was too late.
“I suppose you would know all about collections,” Mon-El said, the charm in his tone all-but gone.
Nura swore again. Mon-El might as well have just declared war.
“Visiting hours have ended,” Querl said, his voice tight. He lay down abruptly on his side, turning away from them both so that he faced the wall. “Do not come back.”
----------------
Nura waited impatiently at the view box door, stepping aside just before it pushed open.
“I think that went well,” Mon-El remarked as he and Imra walked through, brushing himself down with a casual air.
Imra rolled her eyes. “You shouldn’t have engaged with his snark.”
“So, you agree it was snark!”
“It was a cover! I don’t need my powers to see that. It was all over his face.”
“This should be working,” Nura cut in, kicking herself from the wall as she stalked past them both towards the plasma glass view screen. She stabbed her finger at the Coluan still lying dormant on the other side. “I dreamed it. Querl Dox will agree to join the Legion. Today.”
Imra’s brow creased sympathetically. “I don’t doubt that, Nura,” she said gently. “It’s just…”
“Do you have any idea how it happens?” Mon-El asked. “A conversation starter—or a cheat sheet on what to say that won’t piss him off?”
“I could’ve told you that,” Imra muttered.
“You know that’s not how it works,” Nura sighed. “I don’t know exactly how it happens, only that it will. Besides, you two are always the ones that bring in the new recruits. It made sense.”
“Yeah, but that’s usually because we want to,” Mon-El muttered, flinching against another psychic reprimand.
Nura glared through the window, trying to make a clean study of their unwilling recruit. He’d rolled onto his back since Mon-El and Imra had left, his arms crossed smartly over his chest. To an untrained eye, it looked like he was in some sort of meditative state. Whatever it was, Nura was well enough acquainted with the unconscious realm to know it was mostly for show.
“Querl Dox is important,” Nura said, repeating her earlier words back at herself. Or, maybe they were her future words? Sometimes it was so hard to tell. She cleared her throat, raising her voice. “If the Legion is going to continue, we’ll need him. His intellect will save lives. And…” She stopped herself, clenching her hands.
“What is it?” Imra prompted.
Nura shook her head. “We don’t just need him. I think he…” She couldn’t say it yet; couldn’t betray his pride like that, not before he’d even met her for the first time.
There was a good way to rectify that, at least.
Nura sucked in a deep breath, pulling back from the window. “My visions are never wrong. Let me try and talk to him.”
“Go ahead,” Mon-El said, offering her the length of the hallway. “But I’ll warn you, he’s stubborn.”
Nura smiled grimly. “That makes two of us.”

@iowadream tagged me to post my top 5 songs lately. "lately" is a term i am taking to mean "in this moment" so these aren't what i've necessarily been listening to nonstop but it's what i'm thinking about today. i'm also going to do a tap dance called repping at least somewhat niche bands without doxxing myself. i've seen all of these groups live. i could go nicher but then it's all people i actually know personally and then you'll be able to tell where i live and my favorite local brewery and my favorite small town to go buy sandwiches in, and that's too much, you don't need all that. ok ready? ok!
1.
youtube
i've actually seen them twice in two different venues. excellent performances, i can't overstate how hard this group goes. tank's a spectacular vocalist.
2.
contra dance band for spice. east coast contra dancers where are we at! (on the east coast i guess)
3.
a band i know opened for her once. i think she's fun. i don't listen to this type of pop often but i like it when it's a live show. sydney was engaging and her music is a fun type of gritty sad girl thing. there were 3 bands that night and i really didn't like the middle one and she was the headliner so i felt kind of relieved when she started singing and i was like oh ok i can vibe with this.
4.
youtube
i put like three different groups in this spot before i decided on Indigo. who doesn't like indigo. de souza!
5.
i got my neighbors one of the special edition clear vinyls of this album. they were so impressed. B). my favorite song on this album is The Giver.
i tag @unloneliest @yarrow-heather-and-hollyhock @joculine @adhdnarut0 @premiumgelato B)

🎶✨when u get this, list 5 songs u like to listen to, publish. then, send this ask to 10 of your favourite followers (positivity is cool)🎶✨ - I got sent this so now I send to you !
Oh, hey, thanks! Don't mind if I take this opportunity to a) not follow the prompt and b) be a little unhinged :) I'm gonna go with five categories of Things I Listen To instead of five individual songs:
Lesbian Swagger
Okay, so, Brandi Carlile collaborating with Joni Mitchell (a la Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett). They're all great! But this one. Can we talk about her blazer in this clip? Can we talk about Joni bringing the jazz stylings? Can we talk about Elton's cute little hand gestures on the "yeah, yeah, yeah"s?
youtube
I watched this and it immediately reminded me of kd performing with Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn, and Kitty Wells. There's something to be said about a stylish lesbian having an absolute blast and bopping about the stage with a giddy grin because she's doing what she loves. (And if she makes everyone else on stage look like a goofy mom doing wine night karaoke, I mean, hey!)
youtube
Both kd and Brandi have that infuriating ability to out-sing everyone they've ever shared a stage with. CAN YOU TWO PLEASE GET TOGETHER ALREADY?
And Now: The Gents
Billy Brown is Penny Lane's out and proud younger cousin. You're Nearer makes me think that there is a Paul McCartney drag show in my future. You Have Been Loved is an underrated gem. I often wonder who these guys' target demographic is. I asked my early-twenties gay male coworker if he liked any of them; he said he'd never heard of them. Alarming! Generational shift? Maybe. I've met too many young lesbians who don't know kd or Indigo Girls or Melissa Etheridge. Still! No offense, but Sam Smith and girl in red can't hold a candle to Ye Olde Homosexuals Of Yore.
The Source Of My Snobbery
My voice teacher (of two months) wanted me to sing Un Moto Di Gioia as a recital piece (before my performance anxiety and commitment-phobia got the better of me). Several performances I looked to as reference points are still coming up on shuffle a year later. My showerhead's ears are bleeding. While rehearsing (before quitting), I kept thinking of Tom Hulce and tried to make my version uhh joyful? Sprightly? A smidge on the ironic side with exaggerated winks at my non-existent audience? Embarrassing. Glad I chickened out before the public humiliation phase. Je Crois Entendre Encore quiets something in my ribcage and leaves me in a fugue state. Hey, have you heard Bach's Ricercar? I checked out this CD from the public library in elementary school and it's still embedded in my neurons.
The Local Beat
I'm doxxing myself a bit, but here are my musician friends. Amara The Muse, Chris Braegger, Catfish Mustache, Before Giants, and svlph. Support your local musicians today!
Hey, Siri, Play...(The Songs I Put On Repeat Lately)
Love Is The Right Place, As The World Falls Down, Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby, Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes, Close To You, Gentle On My Mind, The Wind, It Doesn't Matter Anymore. I was going to list Newish Songs That Prove I'm Not A Snob Who Only Listens To Old Things, but it was kinda short and disingenuous. I'm old! I try to keep up with the youth, but I keep coming back to the oldies.

OK I need to nitpick HoB a little more.
Has this actually been said in the comics before? I know I say it occasionally and might have had someone say it in a fic somewhere, but I can't recall it actually being used in the comics?
They literally aren't in this part of the issue and it feels like these should have been preceded by Superman having to throw one of them off or something.
What about his grandchild, Pulsar Stargrave and some random guy. Yeah I know he doesn't know but still. He knows Vril and Indigo, that's it, the others could be whatever.
Him using first names feels weird.
???
Vril should have been more unhinged and angrier. This goes back to Bedard too tbh modern Vril is too soft, 90s Vril would stab on sight. Let Superman talk him down/drag him away while he snarls like a rabid animal.
But also. I know Vril is the most published character of the Dox family after his dad and Querl, but the way the comic laser focuses on him as if he's the surrogat father of the entire family feels so weird to me. Lyrl barely listens to him and that's his actual son, why would any of the others? Why isn't Lysl more important if she's the actual oldest and the one who would be most familiar with Brainiac?
Also I'm not 100% sure about the logistics here but wasn't the thing they blew up attached to Colu rather than it being another shrunken world? So it should have been blown up alongside the rest of all that? Or at least all the people should have died. And I wouldn't put it beyond Vril to rebuild Colu out of that but I would put it beyond Williamson to write that.

Ways Supergirl could have incorporated more of the Brainiacs instead of having Lex as one of the main villains for 3 seasons in a row:
first of all, definitely could have done more with Indigo- she was only in 3 episodes, and got ripped in half at the end of season 1. Like, they had her in the season 5 trailer, and for what? I really think it would have been fun to have her as a main villain without Non at some point, and make her her own distinct threat with a connection to Kara. And she easily could have been rebuilt (maybe she caught the attention of Cadmus at some point? or Lex did it), whether still played by Laura Vandervoort or maybe even played by Meaghan Rath or someone else. Also she was included in the Supergirl Rebirth run as one of the Fatal Five, I think it would’ve been neat to see that, maybe in the final season.
Second, they definitely could have brought Vril Dox from the Adventures of Supergirl comic into the show at some point! He is a bit different from Indigo in that he looks more like a traditional Brainiac (green skin, blond hair) and is stated as being from the planet Yod in the comic. They could have easily explained those differences, and maybe included him as a one-off/couple episode villain in season 2, or as part of a larger arc like the comic did, alongside Psi (who was introduced in season 3, albeit portrayed differently), Rampage, and Facet. He could have even maybe brought Indigo back to life, that would have been neat.
Third, remember when they did a whole version of Red Son and never introduced Brainiac at all, even though he was definitely in the comic influencing Red Son Superman after Superman initially defeats him? It might have been tricky to adapt, but it does feel like a missed opportunity, and maybe they could have even done a “Brainiac is operating in the past and the future” thing and done something there with Winn and the Legion, or even had a whole episode set in the future with Kara going to help the Legion fight Brainiac. Or if not Brainiac for rights reasons, someone else in the family. I don’t know, there’s a lot of them.
Fourth (did not do this on purpose) but this show definitely did strongly imply that Brainy’s mom was Brainiac 4, what with her not raising him right and teaching him to bottle planets. We absolutely could have seen her in season 5 as the leader of Leviathan, doing what they do in the show and being a shadowy figure, and then formally introducing herself in the finale when Brainy was dying, taking him from the Leviathan ship just as the Super-friends got there and brainwashing him/turning him against them like Metallo Lena did in the 100th episode. Not saying that because I totally did at least the first part in a fanfic once. Just think it could have been cool.
Finally, alternately, Brainiac 4 could have been the villain in the Phantom Zone instead of Nyxly? Like she got stuck there, maybe trying to go back in time because she sensed somehow that her son was uninhibited and she wanted to use that in some way, and maybe she would have had to pass herself off to Kara as a trustworthy figure but of course reveal herself as evil by the end and escape the Phantom Zone without our heroes knowing to become the villain for the rest of the season. Would probably have not gotten into a relationship with Lex in this scenario, and if she did, she would have only done it to get close enough to him to kill him or something. Or if Lex wasn’t there, it would have been neat to see her maybe turn Zor-El into a cyborg and set him against Kara and the team.

Hello Violet.
I'm not going to threaten to brick your phone or dox you or whatever
I'm so tired. So so tired.
Just. He's going to die. And it will either be at his own hands or Dusks, I hope you realise the stakes in this. I hope you realise I can see sprites activity on rotumblr. every few minutes he checks this page, even types out an ask before deleting it.
Just.
Whatever.
Do whatever the fuck you want. I don't care anymore.
-Beedrill
...he can see this page? I thought he fucking blocked us how the fuck does that work?
And nobody thought to tell me this, Arceus above...
Look, I'm not fucking- I dont do the Knowing like my currently very unresponsive cousin. We've put the word out. I don't know where the kid is, I don't know where Dusk is. I don't know SHIT clearly. I'm just trying to get Indigo to even look at something besides the wall and maybe eat or drink something.
I might be pissed at the kid but I dont want him dead. Definitely not at the hands of the Fog bastard. I want him home so that Indigo can be a fucking person again. And so we can get his shit together because clearly he has some unresolved issues and I will be dragging him to a therapist.

The park I like to read in was having a vendor faire today that I didn't know about, I got a very uplifting tarot reading, and this painting caught my eye.
The artist, Ingrid, didn't have socials or anything listed in their spot that I could see, and what I found online when I searched seemed to be other people, so to avoid anything close to doxxing I do just want to say they were super cool.
Anyways, I'm gonna do a little stuffy art analysis and share what I feel when I see this.
There's a flow here, actually there are two, but what I see first is the intercardinal one. Flowing from left to rich and bottom to top, like a wave crashing against the shore. The shades of blue and black focusing, highlighting the paths that meander up and out of view. There's a complexity in the flow, not every path is the same, and some are stable, others uncertain, but none of them are solitary. If you look at this from the top to the bottom, it flows down, like a river from a mountain, all the paths converge in this view, even if out of sight.
It courses downward and collides with that jagged shape. A seeming wound on the canvas, bleeding an inky indigo and cobalt on the white and aquamarine. From there I see a scattering, the second flow. The splattered inky blots re-contextualizing the flow, going literally against it's grain, and recoloring what was before. Aggressive and purposeful movement from one path to another. Through the blacks and navy and into the brighter shades, A recoloring of the darkness in the top left corner and a repainting of what was before. A forceful movement to something better, and still, towards a different darkness.
I asked the artist about how they felt when painting it, originally meant for a friend of theirs, but the colors they associated with that friend didn't work when put together, the painting itself is a product of adopting a new purpose and meaning in light of a sudden realization.
So yeah now this sits in my living room and it's pretty cool.
#painting#not mine I bought this piece#I've never been to an art school#but I felt the need to vocalize what I feel looking at this
