It wasn't the most ideal time to pull the kids out of school -- they still had a test of two before their quarter ended -- but for her dad...and to check on the rest of the family, she'd do it.

Christmas/winter holiday

“Alright.. I think that’s the last of it.” September stretched her arms up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Setting up for her son’s Winter Formal dance was a damn nightmare. It was definitely the last thing she planned to be doing well into the night. But when only one other parent showed up to help her decorate the high school’s gym, they didn’t have much of a choice. The student made decorations luckily laid a little of the ground work for them. But there were lights to hang and tables to set up. Had he not been there to help her, poor September would have lost her mind. “Thank you for coming to my rescue here. I thought for sure I was doomed.”
