Himachal Pradesh, fondly called Dev Bhoomi or the “Land of Gods,” is a state blessed with divine energy, magnificent landscapes, and a profound spiritual legacy. Surrounded by the majestic Himalayan ranges, this northern Indian state has long been a sanctuary for those seeking a blend of spirituality and nature.
From its ancient temples and serene monasteries to tranquil lakes and sacred pilgrimage sites, Himachal Pradesh offers an enriching spiritual experience for travelers and devotees alike.
The Mesmerizing Temples of Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh’s temples are not just architectural marvels but also profound repositories of faith and devotion. These sacred shrines attract millions of pilgrims and tourists annually, providing an unparalleled spiritual experience.
Jakhoo Temple, Shimla: A Tribute to Lord Hanuman
Nestled atop the Jakhoo Hill, the Jakhoo Temple is one of the most iconic spiritual sites in Himachal Pradesh. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the temple holds immense mythological significance, as it is believed that Hanuman rested here during his search for the life-saving Sanjeevani herb.
Architectural Beauty: The towering 108-foot statue of Lord Hanuman is visible from most parts of Shimla and adds to the grandeur of the temple.
Serene Location: Surrounded by dense deodar forests, the temple offers breathtaking views of Shimla’s landscape.
Spiritual Experience: Devotees often recount a sense of peace and divine connection during their visit.
Bhimakali Temple, Sarahan: A Shakti Peetha of Legend
Tumblr media

Intricate Architecture: Constructed from stone and wood, the temple is an architectural wonder that has stood the test of time.
Hadimba Temple, Manali: A Mythological Marvel
This 16th-century temple dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, the wife of Bhima from the epic Mahabharata, is surrounded by a dense cedar forest, making it one of the most serene spiritual spots in Himachal Pradesh.
Unique Design: Built in a pagoda style, the temple reflects the local architectural traditions of the Kullu Valley.
Connection to Nature: The temple’s location amidst towering deodar trees enhances its spiritual ambiance.
Jwalamukhi Temple, Kangra: Eternal Flames of Divinity
The Jwalamukhi Temple is unique among Indian temples for its natural flames that continuously burn from fissures in the ground. Devotees believe these flames are the manifestation of the goddess Jwalamukhi.
Spiritual Belief: A visit to the temple during Navratri is especially auspicious and draws large crowds.
Sacred Experience: Many devotees claim to feel the goddess’s divine presence within the temple’s fiery sanctum.
The Tranquil Monasteries of Himachal Pradesh
The serene monasteries of Himachal Pradesh stand as testaments to the region’s deep-rooted Buddhist heritage. These sanctuaries provide an ideal retreat for meditation, spiritual learning, and reconnecting with oneself.
Tabo Monastery, Spiti Valley: The Ajanta of the Himalayas

Manimahesh Yatra: This annual pilgrimage attracts thousands of devotees who undertake the challenging trek to seek blessings from Lord Shiva.
Spiritual Connection: The lake’s pristine waters and surrounding peaks evoke a sense of divine presence.

Tumblr media
This serene lake is believed to be sacred to Sage Prashar and is surrounded by lush green meadows and snow-capped mountains.

We are back in the boat in Mother Ganga’s powerful energy —heading to the amazing evening Aarti Ceremony. We’ve been waiting 2 years for this. ⠀ People scurrying along the ghats and boats on the move everywhere. You can feel the energy full of buzz as everyone is in some sort of movement in preparation. The whole scene and feel was like nothing I’ve seen or felt... definitely in a dimension of its own. ⠀ I observe that every time our group gets on the boat and takes in the river and the energies presented we all tend to become somber and inner. We all sit in our own separate worlds. We don’t talk to each other. We are all starring off into our own souls as we recognize our inner by what we are feeling and experiencing in the outer around us. ⠀ Watching the powerful Aarti Ceremony... the chanting, the incense, the bells, the music, the fire, the flower offerings released and floating down Gangamama, the energy and movement of all of it.. spirit is alive in everything and everyone. Everyone is present -but in trance. It’s like we are experiencing a level of heaven that this place fosters for those who are meant to be in it and we were. ⠀ The ceremony was powerfully entrancing. We soaked every part of it in. What a priceless experience to give to yourself, and your soul. ⠀ I’ve taken countless groups of soul travelers through transforming experiences of a wide array of sacred ceremonies all over the world. Although every location and indigenous people have their own ways of expressing sacred devotion one things remains the same: there is always a powerful shift, a profound new awareness and your life ends up transforming in Divine ways. It.happens.everytime. ⠀ My work is my purpose. I feel the deepest pleasure and honor sharing meaningful experiences with you. Are you ready for yours? I’m here and ready. ⠀ Isn’t it time you sent me that DM and make this happen? Your soul is ready to expand your life. Grab my hand. Let’s do this. ⠀ #thetimeisnow ⠀ #SpiritualJourneys with #CindyEyler ⠀ #varanasi #aarticeremony #diya #sacredceremony #indiaspiritualjourney #comehometoyourself #gangariver #travelwithpurpose #wakeupbeforeyoudie #travel #india (at Dashashwamedh Ghat) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1dMZLYFXrT/?igshid=1lk0mnix5ge1m

I’ve always loved architecture where there is one opening after another continuously down a single passage way. I’ve lived in Egypt and have taken a hundred photos inside and outside ornate mosques, palaces and temples, loving every single one I’ve ever seen. This day I got to take one on the grounds of the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. Leaning in the first opening, posing perfectly for my Instagram moment, *click, click, click* “One of these poses has to be good enough!” I actually had to hurry, because getting a shot without people in the background is the challenge. . I love these old deep rust colored walls. Aging yet ageless ~timeless, just like me. . I’m in the moment, yet back in time. . I don’t even know what I’m feeling, so I just open to experiencing. With every step, I keep my awareness here and also way back when; and want to soak in anything that is available to me. Weaving my way through these multiple entrances, never an exit, only continuous discovery into the next and next and next. . Wow, continuous discovery, like walking from one dimension to another, each one leading to the other. Separate but all one at the same time. . It’s mind boggling and I just want to lose all logic, knowing this physical structure is a space holder of now, the unseen past. I know there is something here and long to capture in my mind’s eye, because naturally I am making profound connections with my soul stirrings as part of this time travel experience. . . “Travel, like dreams, is a door that opens from the real world into a world that is yet to be discovered.” -Guy de Maupassant . I couldn’t say it better. . This is why I lead spiritual journeys and take you through unique experiences where you meet your soul in all kinds of places and unexpected spaces. . Sound intriguing? . 👉 3 AM I woke up, hot. Power outage. I tried to get more sleep. 🌚 5:30 AM our boat driver picks us up and walks us through the dark dank alley ... he’s walking fast ahead. I’m concerned about stepping in a pile of any variety of poop or any other possible thing -use your imagination. 🐀🐀 I say... hey.. wait up. I can’t see anything... 🌚 Apparently there was a monkey fight about 1 AM which involved the electrical wires, causing a power outage in our hotel and around the surrounding areas. 🐾 We reach a long high set of steep stairs and descend to the ghat where we board our motor boat on the Ganga River. ⚓️ We are taking a ride to see morning Aarti where the locals are in the river purifying themselves of their sins. This is how they begin each day with sunrise. 🌅 Our group is pretty somber as we are also being intentional about our own releases and experiencing our own personal reasons for being here. Right now. In the moment. Blessed with this deep spiritual soul touching opportunity. 😔 The energy of Mother Ganga cannot be described with words, but can be measured by emotions. 😢 Boating past palaces and temples from at least 3000 years ago and even the cremation ghat where they burn dead bodies along the river’s edge. 🌚 while feeling the energies connecting deeply, tears began dropping down my face. (Read more about the intense emotions felt while on Mother Ganga. She is intense. We never experienced anything like this. Watch for my next post) 💧 We ended up at the morning Aarti ceremony with bells, fire 🔥 and incense for our cleansing and healing. 💧 Only the start of this amazing long day. It will take me about 3-4 posts to cover 1 day alone. Imagine the intensity 🔥 ✨ #varanasi #gangariver #5:30AM #boatonganga #motherganga #morningaarticeremony #timetravel #soulexperience #hearthealing #cremationghat #deadbodiesburning #indiaspiritualjourney (at Varanasi - काशी - बनारस) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1F6xEBFkJj/?igshid=1ag4u36x4frgk

I’ve had this crystal heart either on my nightstand or in my pocket (when I’m traveling). I’ve had it with me since my baby sister, @gwenevieremann passed away almost 1 year ago on July 22, 2018. So far the worst day of my life. You see she wasn’t supposed to be the first of us 6 siblings to die. Almost 10 years younger than me. She’s the baby. I changed her diapers and took care of her. Even in her high school years she ended up living with me again. We had a close bond and a lot of laughs. We also share 2 secrets that no one else knows except God and our angels. 1 secret we never spoke of and the other secret would inevitably come up between us when certain things triggered it in various family gatherings over the years. It would make her flinch in guilt and me, I’d laugh. Now I have to hold these secrets tucked away to myself. I’ll just remember the memories of the memory of our memories. The reason this crystal is in this pic on this post is, because I’m rolling out my pics on IG from my India Spiritual Journey from last March. I took this pic at JFK Airport as I was sitting at the bar having a stiff drink waiting for my friends and spiritual journeyers to meet me at the gate. Me and Gwen sharing a cocktail before we start our 30 some hour travels to get to India. #cheerssis #missyousis #sistersecrets #secrets #pocketcrystal #crystalheart #seleniteheart #brokenhearted #indiabound #healingjourney #indiaspiritualjourney #spiritualjourney #memories #nowitsjustamemory (at John F. Mind blowing. The whole crazy thing. Varanasi known as the oldest most spiritual city in India —filled with everything all at once all encompassing: dirty, stinky, good smells, disgusting smells, grossness, incredible beauty, fresh produce, beyond gorgeous temples ... everything exists all at the same time intermingled. The good, bad, ugly, beautiful, fresh and disgusting. You find it all here. ⠀ It’s so dusty and dirty in the main streets that women commonly wear full head wraps similar to a burka but in beautiful colors. It wasn’t for religious reasons it’s just that dusty, dirty and grimy. ⠀ The traffic cray to the max. Finally get to the long winding alley way that we will have to maneuver for quite a while to get to our hotel. ⠀ Walking the narrow alley you contend with people, motorcycles (watch out these are small alleys) smells from delicious to more disgusting then you can imagine, too many wild dogs -some looking almost dead, some cows and monkeys, and all the feces that go with it, human, dog, cow, monkey and oh gross I just stepped on a fresh dead rat... moving on.... ⠀ The alley eventually dead ends at our hotel... thank God it’s nice and a solace in the craziness ⠀ We all get our rooms. All different but with balconies and Ganga River views... oh and complete with monkey 🐒 💩💩💩 ⠀ We stayed in that night and enjoyed a very delicious meal at the hotel rooftop restaurant. We had no idea what would be in store for us... the whirlwind ride varanasi would take us on...... ⠀ Homer asks, “How long are we staying here?” ⠀ —-> I reminded the group that it’s in the uncomfortable the real growth is available and it’s up to us to either get distracted in the uncomfortable and miss the growth or reap the higher life reward by embracing all the messiness and sit in the uncomfortable and look it straight in the face ——which we did... and surprising to all of us Varanasi ended up being one of our favorite experiences in India. That’s what I call being opening and embracing everything. 💝 ⠀ #SpiritualJourneys with #CindyEyler ⠀ #indiaspiritualjourney #growthintheuncomfortable #gangariver #whatisvaranasilike #varanasi #ttavel #india #travelwithpurpose (at Varanasi - काशी - बनारस) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1fo0knF4_o/?igshid=1dp27nb95mph2

An exploding monkey 🐵 Blink your eyes and you see, hear, smell something completely different. Walking tour of Old Varanasi ancient temples, local streets, wedding festivities, cremation ghat, shopping, tattooing, a bit of scammery a temple and of course cows and monkeys. ⠀ Walking through the outside marketplace [Loud] BANG!! And then a shrieking monkey scream ... What’s that?! ...monkey... we heard a monkey actually blow up 💥 That was intense. It was a loud bang as something electrical blew him up. He screeched and that was it. Monkeys on the roofs were all facing towards the scene. The first monkey in the video is a depiction. 😢 It was so sad seeing all the monkeys starring towards the explosion. —Except for one monkey that was busy stealing some fruit and enjoying it. Apparently this happens a lot. ⠀ Biz ended up getting a tattoo of Shiva on the back of shoulder. He missed the walking tour as it took a good 3 hours to get the tattoo done. It’s amazing. ⠀ It was interesting to learn more about Varanasi and also to visit and learn about the cremation ghat where they burn deceased people. ⠀ Considered the holiest city in India, Varanasi is such an interesting place with endless things to see, experience and smell 🥴 ⠀ I love Varanasi. It was the most life-changing vibration and I look forward to taking my next group there. If you’re a spiritual person that lives transformational experiences join me here. So many people are so darn slow! ⠀ - slow to decide - slow to move on - slow to make a move - slow to go with the flow - slow slow slow ⠀ So slow that your camel fell asleep 💤 ⠀ If you’re that slow it’s a sign you have a hard time trusting yourself and your higher guidance. ⠀ We never will know the unknown and that can be scary at times, but sitting on your thumb for extended periods of time doesn’t make it anymore less unknown and it just makes your thumb stinky. ⠀ In fact, often when you over think or stall you will make the decision that might seem “safer”, but ends up not being what you really wanted and not really safe, but rather, fear-based. Yuck. ⠀ Go with the flow. Do what you can and let the rest do what it will. It’s life. We are here to experience it. ⠀ There’s a time for #contemplation but don’t get to the point of #stagnation or #puttingofftheenvitable or #missyouropportunity when the #universeopensthedoor don’t be so slow that the door shuts on you. ⠀ #snapoutofit #wakeup #getmoving #trustyourheart #feelthefearanddoitanyway ⠀ You miss 💯% of the shots you don’t take. -Wayne Gretzky ⠀ #notmakingadecisionisadecision #sittingonyourthumb #makeamove #makeadecision #whatsyourpurpose #lifeisforliving #shootforthestars #lifepath #spiritualmentor #cindyeyler #spiritualjourney #indiaspiritualjourney #pushkar #india #pushkarcamel #camelresting #camelsofindia #spiritual (at Pushkar Rajasthan) https://www.instagram.com/p/CB1GGK3lxxT/?igshid=1d46ylavf2mfw
