Purpose Of Floral Decorations In Weddings
Girls are more frequently thought of when one imagines their outdoor wedding decoration. Perhaps men might not consider their ideal wedding and how they want to accomplish it. But women undoubtedly do. Yes, guys do contemplate the ideal woman they would like to marry.
Tumblr media
Ladies imagine that they will do this and that in their wedding. How lovely their entrance will be and how wonderful the theme wedding decorations will be. They expect their wedding venue to be decorated with flowers hanging everywhere.
Flower Selection for Spectacular Fragrance Throughout
Without magnificent, in-season flowers, the wedding would be lacking. They make the Indian wedding decoration ideas more beautiful and fragrant. The atmosphere is serene, allowing visitors to mingle with the family members while they are there.
The wedding décor, including the best flower arrangements, is funded in large part by the budget. You can collect flower blossoms by visiting nearby farms. The wedding stage would look lovely with flowers like orchids, peonies, and other exotic flowers. Roses, jasmine, and marigolds are more options.
Tumblr media
The following are some examples of floral decorations:
Embellish the ceiling
You also need to think about decorating the ceiling. This should not be left blank. You may make the stage feel lovely by adorning the ceiling. To achieve the opulent appearance, experiment with various items like lanterns, birdcages, and chandeliers.
To get the opulent appearance, you can also add lanterns, hang bird cages, and hang chandeliers. A natural effect would also be produced by the floral canopy. One of the most inexpensive wedding stage decorations in Bangalore is this one.
Make a Charming Entrance
The entrance is where guests enter the wedding venue. When the entrance is striking, you can plan for a number of additional attractions for the visitors as they enter. The expectation level of the visitors will rise as a result.
Tumblr media
This is what enables you to set expectations for the rest of the wedding. The entrance of the reception stage decoration must be striking and lovely. You can make use of the lighting by employing lamps, torches, lanterns, and lights.
By scattering the potted plants and trees about, you may create a lovely garden wedding in Bangalore. To leave a good impression on the visitors, you might also put some flowers in the entryway. Overall, the wedding is anticipated to have superb decoration.
Birthdays And Anniversaries
Annual celebrations of birthdays and anniversaries are typically enhanced by flowers. You can pick a lovely flower to add a special touch to the day and make it stand out from other ordinary days, depending on your relationship with your partner.
Tumblr media
Red flowers are ideal if you and your spouse are in a committed relationship, while yellow flowers with pink accents are preferable if you are simply friends because yellow denotes friendship and pink denotes admiration.
Conclusion
Every occasion, but particularly weddings, benefits from the presence of flowers. Flowers and flower arrangements should be high on every wedding planner’s priority list. It is because they play a significant role in the wedding locations in Bangalore. It should reflect the bride and groom’s preferences.
Although they are utilised as a bridal floral adornment, wedding flowers are often used as décor. They are used for mehndi and sangeet décor. Long bouquets, berry accents, matching flowers, dual-purpose wedding accents are some of the best wedding flowers.

i mixed it up a bit! hope you don't mind but I added some dancing in between! hehe

The sound of jubilant music and joyous laughter filled the air as Y/N took Harry's hands in her own, gazing at him with all the love in her heart.
It was the day they had been dreaming of for what felt like an eternity - their beautiful Indian wedding celebration. After months of careful planning and preparation, it was finally time to declare their everlasting love and commitment in front of their closest family and friends.
As Y/N looked into Harry's bright green eyes, she felt herself getting choked up with happy tears. He was the most gorgeous sight she had ever seen in his ivory sherwani with delicate embroidery and a baby pink safa atop his unruly chestnut curls. A radiant smile lit up his entire face as he mouthed "I love you" to her.
Y/N hoped her own appearance took Harry's breath away just as much. She was draped in a stunning red and gold lengha with the most intricate designs she had ever seen. Golden jewelry adorned her neck, wrists and fingers, while a striking tikka rested on her forehead. After hours of professionalmehndi application, her hands and feet were works of art covered in the most beautiful henna patterns.
Their wedding mandap looked like it was straight out of a dream, covered in layers of vibrant red fabric and masses of exotic flowers. The entire venue was bursting with rich colors, from the ornate rugs underfoot to the twinkling strings of lights hanging overhead. Harry and Y/N had spent endless hours with the planners to ensure every last detail was absolutely perfect for commemorating this special day properly.
As the ceremonies began, they went through each traditional rite and ritual with profound reverence and care. When the time came to exchange floral varmala garlands, Harry could barely contain his boyish grin as he struggled slightly to get the hanging blooms around Y/N's neck. She laughed lightly as she did the same for him, feeling like her heart could burst with love and happiness in that moment.
The ceremonies paused briefly for the jaimala, a ritual where the couple tried to be the first to successfully garland each other. Amid a chorus of cheers from the guests, Y/N and Harry playfully danced around for several minutes, narrowly missing each other until finally Harry swept in and captured Y/N's neck with the floral necklace.
She gasped in delight as he pulled her in close, pressing their foreheads together tenderly. "I've got you forever now," he murmured, just for her to hear. Y/N felt herself melt at the warmth and adoration in his voice as she reached up to cradle his face in her hands.
"And I've got you," she whispered back reverently. "Always and forever."
Harry leaned in to capture her lips in a soft, lingering kiss, forgetting about their audience for a brief moment. A joyous howl went up from the guests that broke them apart with sheepish grins. Their loved ones had anxiously awaited this special union, and they were determined to savor every second of it.
The rest of the rituals and pheras passed by in a beautiful, colorful blur. Y/N felt herself getting choked up again as they took their sacred vows, promising to love, honor and cherish one another until their very last breaths. Harry gazed at her adoringly, stroking her cheek tenderly with his thumb as they repeated the powerful words.
"You are my soulmate, my partner, my everything," he said throatily, his eyes shining with unshed tears of happiness. "Thank you for making me the luckiest man in the world by becoming my wife."
Unable to contain herself a moment longer, Y/N let a few tears slip free as she beamed at her new husband. She leaned up on her tiptoes to wind her arms around his neck, pulling him in close.
"There is no one else on this earth I would rather spend my life with than you," she said in a trembling voice thick with emotion. "I am so grateful to now be your wife, and to finally be able to call you my husband. I love you endlessly, Harry."
The tenderness of their embrace was only broken by the sound of loud cheers and clapping as their guests celebrated the joyous union. It was official - Harry and Y/N were finally married, bonded together for all of eternity.
As the ceremonies concluded, everyone made their way to the outdoor reception area where the real festivities could begin. Servers circulated with trays of delicious Indian delicacies, from vegetable samosas and pakoras to spicy curries and flaky, buttery naan bread. One of the first dances kicked off with Harry and Y/N taking center stage, all gazingadoringly at each other as they swayed to the romantic hindi music.
"My beautiful wife," Harry murmured in her ear as they slowly revolved on the dance floor. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of calling you that."
Y/N's face lit up in a bright smile as she gave him an eskimo kiss. "And I'll never get tired of being called your wife, my husband."
Eventually it was time for the grand sangeet celebration, filled with vibrant musical and dance performances from all of their loved ones. It brought tears of laughter and joy to Harry and Y/N's eyes as they watched silly skits, entertaining dances, and heartfelt songs dedicated to their everlasting love.
When their own performance came around, Y/N's heart was pounding in her chest with excited nerves. For months they had been secretly rehearsing an intricate choreographed dance routine to a romantic hindi mashup. As the first few notes of the song rang out, Y/N locked eyes with Harry, giving him a breathtaking smile. There was nowhere else she would rather be than on that dance floor with him, her husband, her forever love.
Harry smiled back like she had hung every star in the night sky, his eyes shining with pure adoration. Even after months together, Y/N's beauty and the depth of love she had for him still managed to take his breath away.
Their dance was utterly captivating and joyous, filled with playful movements and longing gazes as they spun and twisted around each other. At one particularly romantic section, Harry couldn't resist gathering Y/N up into his strong arms, dipping her low as she arched back in a graceful curve. They hovered like that, faces mere inches apart, both of them breathing heavily with beaming smiles.
"I love you so much," Harry mouthed to her fervently before pulling Y/N back up to crush his lips against hers in a heated, passionate kiss.
A roar of approval and applause sounded around them from their cheering guests. They didn't care one bit, choosing instead to lose themselves in their tender liplock for a few heated moments before finally pulling apart, dizzy and breathless with elation.
"And I love you eternally, my husband," Y/N whispered ardently, tracing the line of Harry's parted lips with the pad of her thumb.
The incredible night seemed to whirl by in an unstoppable blur of celebrating, feasting, singing and dancing after that. Every time Y/N locked eyes with Harry, she felt her heart overflow with the depths of her love and commitment for this incredible man that was now her spouse. His radiant smile and looks of pure adoration warmed her down to her very soul.
As the hours ticked by, Y/N felt herself growing weary but still riding cloud nine from the blissful events. Harry seemed to sense her fatigue, coming up behind her to wrap his arms around her waist and press a soft kiss to her temple.
"What do you say we get out of here, wife?" he murmured in a low rumble against her skin. "I've got plans for celebrating our new marriage in private…"
Y/N immediately felt a rush of heated desire course through her veins at his suggestive words and tone. She grinned and turned in his arms, pressing a sensual kiss to his parted lips.
"Whatever you say, husband," she replied huskily.
The two of them slipped away from the raging celebration largely unnoticed, both too eager to begin their new life together as spouses. Every second felt so surreal and dreamlike to Y/N, a real-life fairy tale come to life. She felt so incredibly blessed and overflowing with love.
Once they made it back to the privacy of their honeymoon suite, Harry effortlessly swept Y/N up into his arms like she weighed nothing. She let out a surprised giggle, winding her arms around his neck as he carried her over the threshold. His lips instantly crashed into hers in a searing kiss filled with fiery passion and overwhelming love.
They stumbled their way across the romantic suite, shedding clothes and flowers as they went, unable to get enough of each other. Whispered words of adoration and biblical devotion were exchanged between heated kisses and roaming caresses.
Finally, Harry laid Y/N down on the plush bed covered in fragrant rose petals, hovering over her in breathless awe. His talented fingers deftly undid the remaining jewels and ornaments adorning her body until just her beautiful bare skin remained.
"You are the most gorgeous creature I've ever laid eyes on," he rasped out, trailing reverent kisses along the delicate golden patterns of her mehndi. "My breath was taken away the second I saw you today."
Y/N felt a fresh wave of desire crash over her at his words, a soft whimper escaping her parted lips as his mouth continued worshipping every inch of her. She pulled him back up, crashing their lips together in a tangled dance of tongues and teeth while her nails raked deliciously down the taut muscles of his back.
"And you looked positively sinful, my love," she panted heavily between fevered kisses. "Like the most delectable dream come to life right before my eyes."
Harry growled low in the back of his throat, rolling them over until Y/N was straddling his hips. He looked up at her with hooded, lust-blown eyes, skimming his large palms reverently over the curves of her body.
"You're going to be the most beautiful sight to wake up to for the rest of my days," he said in a gravelly rumble.
Y/N could only whimper and capture his full lips in another bruising kiss as she rolled her hips wantonly against his nude form. The friction and delicious heat between them quickly became maddening with need. Soon they were joined together, moving in an ancient rhythm of love and desire.
All the emotions of the joyous day came pouring out in their lovemaking - the uncontainable happiness, the bone-deep reverence, the overwhelming passion, the profound intimacy. Harry and Y/N clung to each other like they were the only anchor in the raging sea, breathing celestial words of worship and forever into kiss-swollen mouths.
"Mine…my husband…my eternal love…" Y/N chanted like a prayer as her nails dug deliciously into the strong muscles of Harry's shoulders.
"My gorgeous wife," Harry groaned back in adoration, capturing her lips in a searing liplock as their arching bodies found blessed release and sublime rapture together.
The newlyweds laid spent and utterly sated in the tangled cocoon of the sheets afterward, both glowing with the afterglow of their sacred union.
"To have and to hold, for better or worse, for richer or poorer…" Harry murmured, reciting the marriage vows as he nuzzled his face into Y/N's neck, placing tender kisses along her fluttering pulse point. "In sickness and health…until death do us part."
Y/N turned her head, finding his mouth with her own to kiss him deeply and devotedly. "I am yours, and you are mine," she whispered the solemn promise against his parted lips. "From this day forward, until our souls leave this earth."
Harry let out a trembling exhalation at the powerful words, gathering his wife even closer to his body. He felt utterly undone and overwhelmed by the depths of his all-encompassing love for her. After years of searching, he had found his soulmate, his twin flame, his everything.
"I've never felt more complete, more whole, than I do in this very moment with you," he said in a hushed, reverential tone. "My love for you defies articulation, Y/N. You are my heart, my light, my forever."
Their mouths collided in a searing, all-encompassing liplock then, pouring every ounce of their overwhelming love and commitment into the heated embrace. In that singular, blissful moment, there was nothing else in the entire universe except the profound, everlasting truth of their fated union.
As the newlyweds eventually drifted off in a tangle of sated, sleepy limbs, Y/N felt like the luckiest woman in the world to call this incredible man her husband. And Harry felt like the most blessed man alive to have Y/N as his wife, bound together for eternity through their sacred vows and unbreakable love.

The Wedding Night
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So you two have been preparing for the wedding for months. Since you had to organize two weddings one Japanese style and one Indian style
When he found out honestly he was quite amused of course but he always respected your decisions. Not without teasing you at every given moment from sexy scenes in movies to books if there were any he would always say "Just wait until the day we get married~" teasing you on how you believed in sex after marriage.
Now the day was finally here, Satoru in a beige sherwani with blue flowers and golden kadhai asdfghjkl.
When you joined the ballroom oh my wearing that royal wedding dress. The red lehenga with gold all over it. Damn, this man fell even harder he didn't even know he could see this day.
After the var mala, You and he sat in front of the mandap now that's where the fun began.
Satoru's slippers were gone in seconds, even the strongest sorcerer couldn't save them.
Your sister got a lot of money in return which made you sigh at both of their behaviors
"Where are my slippers?" Satoru said looking around as you snickered and looked at your sisters (now salis) as one of them wore the slippers. "Jija ji~," Your sisters said menacingly as they tapped on his shoulders making him look around "Oh, you found them? Thank you" He smiled patting one of their head, oh this poor boy doesn't know what is going to happen now as the swiped the slippers as he was about to reach them making he raise his eyebrow. The eldest smiled and said snickering "Nothing in return~" Satoru didn't has a single clue about what she was asking and placed a plate of golgappa from the waiter in her hand. Making you laugh and said "Not that idiot, she's talking about money the neigh(idk what you call it but in my family, they call it neigh or shagun ka lifafa)" "Oh!! Here my sweet sisters-in-law!" He said putting his card in their hands making your and your sister's jaws drop to the floor. "Oh, Beh--" You were about to curse as your elder sister (can be cousin too) covered your mouth. "Not today Y/n."
After the faire and pooja, it was time to play the games. The most intense game of no other. Both of you were so determined to find the ring in the bowl. After, 7 rounds you finally won the first game. While Satoru won the rice game.
At the Dinner, he thought this was the time he finally would get you alone. But unfortunately for him all your relatives when to meet you.
You two were sitting together while the whole family sat on the larger table as Indian dishes were served as the relatives started to come from one of your closets first. First were from your mother's house who came and fed you two a bite of the food (The custom where like the relatives feed you one bite showing their love towards the bride and groom) "Hai mera beta itni badi hogayi," Your Mama said feeding you two a bite as you turned to Satoru and introduced him to your uncle " 'Toru, This is My Mama the one I told you about." You said as Satoru nodded and smiled at him "Yes I remember, Namaste sir" "Oh don't call me sir, I'm your Uncle now boy!" You Uncle fist-bumped your newly wed husband welcoming him to the family as he leaned to your ear and whispered "Hindi seekh raha hai?" He asked as you giggled and nodded "Abhi tak sahi chal rahi hai classes"
Oh, that was just one of them, and many more from both your mother's and father's side. You introduced those who were left in the group photos
After the whole dinner, there was part of the vidai when you both were leaving to go to your hotel. After the whole energetic wedding now everyone had a solemn look as he looked at you hugging your mother and crying your eyes out. Much to say he was amused he was omg he was so confused he thought you didn't want to go but you had lived with him in Japan.
Getting in the car this mf would be 100 perc. be dramatic saying that you didn't love him and broke his heart, and like he never knew you didn't want to live with him. As you explained that is why you were crying. As you two drove to your hotel. Now finally married.
Ohhhh! Here's the fun parttt!! The suhag raat!!
Satoru finally gets you alone when he finally lifts your veil like in the old Bollywood films looking at your beautiful face decorated with gold jewelry as he kissed you so softly and passionately which of course you gladly returned.
The funny part is that he won't still be able to do what he wants, for actually taking off your clothes he and you would take out the jewelry, safety pins, and makeup for like half an hour.
Oh, he would just be soo fucking touchyyy like literally would seduce you when he helped you take off your safety pins. like squeezing your waist or your inner thighs. Well, You know what happened next right? ;)

"Ahh!" Sneha yelled in pain, "It hurts, Kakima."
"Shhh, sit still." Her Kaki, Malini, ordered her as she worked on the latter's hair. Pinning the gajra to the bun.
Sneha huffed, looking at herself in the mirror. Today was her wedding and that too, with a man she despised.
At the tender age of six, Sneha lost both her parents to a car accident on their way home. Even though Sneha survived the accident, losing her parents left a great trauma on her. Arjun Dev, a close friend of her father who lived in Hyderabad, decided to adopt her.
Here, in Hyderabad, she grew up under his and his wife, Malini's care. Growing up, Sneha was fond of literature. She took inspiration from the nature around her and inked them in a diary. Later she decided to turn that hobby to her profession.
Sneha was not blind to atrocious works of the british. She knew well how monstrous they were. How they fooled Indians and took over the whole country. How they tortured poor Indians and kept them like slaves.
Sneha could not see their pain and misfortune so she decided that she would help as much as possible to free her country from their vicious clutches. She had written many nationalist books under the pen name 'Nandini'.
Now considering how much she loves Bharat and hates the British basterds, the last person she expected to marry was one of their loyal dogs, Alluri Sitaram Raju. She was pissed off when her uncle told her about the marriage proposal.
She instantly rushed off in anger to confront him but when he requested her with nothing but utter sincerity, Sneha could not turn him down. Had he not adopted Sneha, she didn't know what would have happened to her and Sneha was great to them. So, here she was now a few minutes away from getting married to that traitor, Sitaram.
Malini held Sneha's shoulders, "I'm so happy for you, Sneha. Trust me, Ram is a really good man and he will always keep you happy."
Sure, a traitor like him will do anything but keep me happy.
Sneha plasted a fake smile on her face and looked at Malini through the mirror's reflection, "I hope so."
Just then the door opened and one of her sisters ran in, "Hurry! The groom is here."
Malini left Sneha alone in the room to gather her thoughts. Sneha looked down, in her lap was a pendant, engulfed in her palms. Her mind was crowded with thoughts. How was she going to spend her life with Ram? Just how?
But time didn't stop for her. It went on it's pace. Sneha was escorted to the mandap where they were tied into the sacred bond of marriage. The wedding ended and Sneha bid a tear-filled farewell to her family. Then she was taken to his house where his side of the family performed all the rituals and in no time it was their wedding night.
Sneha sat on the bed, heart racing like a train. Her knees were pulled to her chest. She wondered if Ram would try to force himself on her. She was, by no means, ready for this. This was supposed to happen between two loves, soulmates and they were neither.
If he tries something, I'll kill him.
Sneha thought to herself. The wooden door opened and Ram walked in, closing the door behind. Sneha gripped the saree harder, so much that her knuckles turned white.
Ram started walking towards the bed. Just as he came to the end of the bed, Sneha shot up, standing on it with a knife in her hand, "Don't you dare come any closer or else I swear to god, I'll kill you."
Ram flinched back, startled, "What on earth are you doing?"
Ram glared at her but she snapped back, "Listen mister, I have no intention of being your wife, let alone spent a night with you. Stay the fuck away from me."
Ram could not help but scoff at her atrocious words, "Like I want to sleep with you. I have way more important work than sleeping with someone foul-mouthed like you."
"Yeah yeah whatever. Now get out." Sneha swung the knife in the door's direction, "You are not staying in the same room as me."
"This is my room. You get out."
"Do you want to die in your sleep?"
Ram gulped in fear, the kind of person she seemed to be, she probably would not even hesitate before stabbing him to death. Sneha smirked, knowing very well that she had won.
"Whatever, hope you die in your sleep." Ram snatched the blanket off the bed and started walking out, muttering under his breath, "Who named her Sneha, they need to be put in a mental asylum."
"And your name should have been Ravan instead, even better Shishupal, you useless coward." Sneha yelled before the door slammed shut.
Sneha waited a few seconds before sighing in relief, saved for the day. She got down from the bed and carefully hid the knife in the nightstand's drawer. She quickly took of all the make up and jwelleries and changed into simple saree. Then turning off the lights Sneha snuggled into the soft sheets and let the slumber pull her into the dreamland.
Sneha woke up the next morning to the empty house. Ram was nowhere to be seen. That happened the next and then the next day. Ram would leave the house before Sneha could wake up and come back after she had gone to sleep. The sofa in the living room was now his bed.
Sunlight peeked through the sheer curtains, filling the room with golden light. You snuggled more into the sheets before blinking your eyes open. Glancing at the table clock, it showed the time was 7 o'clock. Sneha sat up on the bed, streaching her limbs to get rid of the sleepiness.
Throwing off the blanket, which she found in the closet (Ram was too much of a dick to give her one), she got up. Sneha made the bed and then did her morning routine. Sneha dressed up in a red silk saree with gold work done on it.
Today she was going to make a library card at the local library. Books were her addiction and not being able to read one the past days were killing her inside. Her hair was still a little damp so she decided to leave them open.
Sneha walked down the stairs and into the living room, only to stop at the bottom step. There was Ram, sitting on the sofa, reading newspapers. Dressed in a simple white shirt and dress pants.
He was handsome— scratch that, he was extremely good looking. If only his personality was like Sri Ram. Sneha mourned internally. She walked into the kitchen, adjourned to the living room.
"Wow, look who didn't sneak out early in the morning today." Sneha said loudly, too loud.Ram could feel his eyebrows twitch. Stay calm Ram, don't listen to her bullshit. He could not stay calm for long when started again, "What? Did your dear British government fire you already?"
His mouth moved even before he could comprehend, "Look who didn't sleep till afternoon like a pig. What direction did the sun raise from today?"
Sneha's jaw dropped on the floor, "I sleep like a pig? Me? Sneha Acharya? Then you sleep like a damn donkey."
Ram mumbled, loudly, while turning a page of the newspaper, "Truth hurts. What can we do?"
This damn donkey!
Sneha stomped her feet before rushing into the kitchen. She could feel herself fuming with anger. Only a good cup of chai could help her calm down. As slammed the saucepan on the stove, an idea hit her brain.
"Oii." Sneha called from the kitchen.
"What?"
"I'm making chai. Do you want some?"
".............Sure." Ram answered after a minute of silence.
Sneha threw him an 'ok' sign and got back to prepare tea. Ram could feel something was off. But what could she do? Poison his tea?
Calling me a pig. The audacity. Now taste the tea made by a pig.
Sneha quickly prepared two cups of tea and brought it out in the living room. Placing the tray on the low coffee table, she handed him a cup and she herself started sipping from one.
Ram inspected the cup and the liquor. Smelling it, seeing from all angels. Sneha suppressed the laugh, dying to come out. Finally Ram took a sip.
Hmm? Not bad.
Until a second later it hit. The inside of his mouth started burning like hell. Ram dropped the cup on the ground, yelling in pain. He felt like he had eaten a thousand chillies. Sneha could not stop it anymore. She threw back on the sofa, laughing like a mad woman.
Ram searched the containers and cabinets, searching for something, anything, to help with the burning feeling. He finally found a small container of rasogolla. He somehow opened it and gulped down all of them in a matter of a few minutes.
When he finally calmed down, his chest was heaving crazyly. Anger raised in his head when he fully grasped what had happened. He saw Sneha leaning on the kitchen door, giving him mocking looks. Ram glared at it like an angry bull. If looks could kill, you would have been six feet under the ground by now.
Ram marched up to you, jabbing his pointer finger on your forehead with each word, "You. Will. Pay. For. This."
He gritted out before walking past you, shoving your shoulder with his in the process. You turned your head to see him stomping up stairs.
We will see Mr. Ram.

Jake's and Sarina's wedding headcanons meme
Where they get married. Cathedral Park under St. John's Bridge in Portland Oregon.
Tumblr media
When they get married. In autumn (late September) of 2021.
What traditions they include. They have a Christian and Hindu fusion wedding and find ways to blend traditions. Jake and Sarina have a bachelor and bachelorette party respectively. During Sarina's bachelorette party, she has the mehndi ceremony (adorning hands and feet with henna tattoo) with Cassandra, Eve, Nicole, and Estrella. Jai mala (exchanging jasmine flower garlands to wear) and the exchanging of the rings. The jai mala happens when Sarina reaches the end of the aisle. It's followed by the Hindu vows then the Christian vows and the ring exchange. And their friends toss rice at them at the end of the ceremony.
What their wedding cake looks like:
Tumblr media
Who smashes the cake into who's face? Sarina smears a bite of cake on Jake's face. While she's laughing, he silences her with a kiss. Which gets cake on Sarina's face and they laugh.
Who proposed to who? Jake proposed to Sarina in the summer of 2020. It was morning and they were having breakfast. Jake made french press coffee (Sarina's favorite way to have coffee). The coffee was in a new mug that he bought for her just because. (Sarina collects novelty mugs). They do the daily crossword together and when Sarina reaches the bottom of her mug she sees "will you marry me?" written on the bottom. Jake gets down on one knee and with a ring and proposes.
Who walks down the aisle and who waits at the alter? Sarina walks down the aisle while Jake waits at the end of it.
What their wedding dress/suit/other looks like: Sarina wears a red bridal lehenga. The garment blends modern and traditional Indian aesthetics. Jake wears a black three piece with a bolo tie and a black cowboy hat.
Tumblr media
What their color scheme is and what sort of decor they have. The color scheme is jewel toned and includes red, burgundy, orange, yellow, and forest green. They have a mandap set up on the deck for their alter. Lights, flowers, and foliage are strung up across the arches. There fall leaves and flowers on the stairs which serve as the aisle. The staircase is also lined with glass lanterns with candles inside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What flowers are in the bouquet (what do the flowers mean?) The bouquet has red roses, purple waterlily dahlias, orange rank and yellow kalanchoe. Red roses symbolize love and passion. Purple dahlias are a symbol of grace, beauty, dignity, and kindness. Ranunculus flowers mean charm and attractiveness and kalanchoes mean persistence and eternal love. For added greenery, the bouquet has seeded eucalyptus, gumdrop eucalyptus, maidenhair fern (in orange), and leatherleaf fern. Eucalyptus is a symbol of strength, protection and abundance. And the fern is a symbol of sincerity, magic, fascination, confidence, shelter, discretion, reverie and a secret bond of love. Silk flowers are used and after the wedding, the bouquet becomes the center piece for the Stones' dining room table.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What their vows are. Saptapadi, the seven vows of Hindu marriage. Jake an Sarina walk seven circles around the fire in the mandap. While walking, they say the vows. 1) To nourish each other. 2) To remain lifelong friends. 3) To be together forever. 4) To take of family. 5) To share joys and sorrows. 6) To preserve wealth. 7) To grow together in strength. After the saptapadi, Jake and Sarina say the classic Christian wedding vows. "I, Jacob Stone, take you, Sarina Bhonsle, to be my wedded wife. . .till death do us part." "I, Sarina Bhonsle, take you, Jacob Stone, to be my wedded husband. . .till death do us part."
If anyone's late to the wedding. Flynn. Naturally.
Who's in the bridal party/groomsmen? It's a small ceremony. Most of the guests are the Library people. And the rest are a few family and friends Jacob and Sarina have outside of the Library. Because of this, they decide to not have a bridal party and groomsmen. Instead they just have a Best Person and a Person of Honor. Jacob asked Cassandra to be his Best Woman. Sarina asks Ezekiel to be her Man of Honor.
What their bridal party/groomsmen are wearing. Ezekiel wears a burgundy suit with a kurta shirt. Cassie wears an orange cowl neck gown. The color coordinates with Jake's orange ranunculus boutonniere.
Tumblr media
Who gives speeches at the reception (bonus: what do they say?) Cassie and Ezekiel give speeches. As does Eve and Jenkins. Cass's speech is mostly about the good change she's seen in Jake since Sarina came into his life. Ezekiel ribs Jacob, basically saying that Sarina is too cool for Jake but wishes them a happy life together. Eve's speech is about officially welcoming Sarina into their weird found little family. Eve and Sarina later develop an inside joke that Eve is Sarina's Guardian-in-law. Jenkins congratulations the happy couple and makes a point to tell Jacob how proud he is of him.
Who catches the bouquet? Cassandra catches the bouquet. She then shares a knowing look with Estrella.
What their wedding photos look like. Photos of the newly weds were taken on the Cathedral Park staircase. As well as group photos with Ezekiel and Cassandra and photos with Flynn, Eve, Jenkins, and Nicole. There are also candid photos of the ceremony and the reception. Such as photos of the rice tossing and the cake smashing. Jacob and Sarina have a tri-fold frame of the cake smashing. First photo is of Sarina smashing cake into Jake's face. Second is of Jake kissing Sarina, getting cake on her face, and the third is of them laughing together.
What sort of food they have at the reception. Entrées: Mutton biryani and pork chops w/ fig & grape agrodolce. Appetizers: Bacon wrapped dates w/ goat cheese, potato skins, and amritsari paneer tikka. Side dishes: Masala mac & cheese, quinoa bhel salad, and tamale pie. Desserts: Cherry and apple fried pies, ras malai mousse and thandai truffles.
Tumblr media
How wild their reception gets (who dances the best, who gets drunk first, etc.) Ezekiel is the best dancer. Some guests start a limbo contest which Jenkins wins and Flynn was a close second. Cassie gets drunk on champagne.
What their rings look like. Sarina's engagement ring & wedding band and Jake's wedding band.
Tumblr media
What sort of favors they have. Wooden engraved bookmarks.
Where they go on their honeymoon. Château de Fère in France.
Something memorable that happens during the party/ceremony. A couple of Jake's cousins get too drunk and start a brawl.
Who officiates the ceremony. They hire a pandit to perform the Hindu parts of the ceremony and a priest to perform the Christian parts.
What song their first dance is to. "Here, There and Everywhere" by The Beatles.
Who gives who away as they walk down the aisle. Jenkins walks Sarina down the aisle.

The Role of Wedding Decorators in Creating a Dream Wedding
integral to creating a memorable and dreamlike wedding day.
1. Understanding the Couple’s Vision
The first and most crucial role of a wedding decorator is to understand the couple’s vision. Every wedding is unique, and couples often have a specific idea of how they want their big day to look. This might be influenced by their culture, personal style, or even popular wedding trends. A good decorator listens carefully during consultations, taking note of the couple’s preferences, whether it’s a minimalist, elegant affair or a vibrant, cultural celebration with traditional elements.
Understanding this vision requires more than just listening — it involves asking the right questions. Decorators need to delve deep into details such as favorite colors, floral preferences, and even personal stories that can be subtly incorporated into the decor. A wedding decorator’s ability to interpret these desires into tangible decor elements is key to delivering a dream wedding that resonates with the couple and their guests.
2. Creative Concept Development
Once a decorator has grasped the couple’s vision, the next step is to develop a creative concept. This involves creating mood boards, sketches, or even digital presentations to give the couple a visual representation of the proposed decor. Whether the wedding is inspired by classic themes, nature, or something entirely unique, the decorator must merge these ideas with practical considerations like venue size and layout.
Wedding decorators often play the role of designers, not just arranging flowers or drapes but creating a cohesive design plan that ties everything together. This creative direction covers everything from centerpieces to lighting design and entrance setups. It ensures that all the visual components of the wedding work harmoniously, giving the event a polished and sophisticated feel.
3. Venue Transformation
One of the most visible roles of a wedding decorator is the physical transformation of the venue. This process often begins days before the actual event, with decorators coordinating with florists, lighting technicians, and furniture suppliers to execute their design plan. For outdoor weddings, this might involve setting up large tents, lighting arrangements, and garden decor, while indoor venues often require complex arrangements of drapery, stage setups, and aisle decorations.
Wedding decorators also have to consider logistical elements like the size and shape of the venue. They need to maximize the space while keeping it functional, ensuring that the decor complements the flow of the event, from the wedding ceremony to the reception. For instance, stage backdrops, seating arrangements, and table settings are all part of this transformation. Ultimately, their goal is to take a blank canvas — be it a ballroom, a garden, or a beach — and turn it into a wedding wonderland.
4. Theme and Color Coordination
Theme and color coordination are two of the most critical aspects of wedding decor. Whether it’s a traditional Indian wedding with rich reds and golds or a contemporary Western ceremony with pastel hues, the decorator’s job is to ensure that every decor element aligns with the chosen theme and color palette. From the flowers to the table linens, each item must contribute to the overall look and feel of the wedding.
Skilled decorators use their expertise in color theory and design trends to advise couples on what combinations work best. They balance the need for aesthetic appeal with cultural significance or personal preferences, sometimes blending traditional elements with modern touches. For example, incorporating cultural motifs in the mandap setup or subtly adding a couple’s favorite color to the floral arrangements can personalize the wedding space.
5. Attention to Detail
In wedding decor, every little detail matters. Small touches like the placement of candles, the style of chair covers, or the design of the wedding signage contribute to the overall atmosphere. A wedding decorator’s eye for detail can elevate the decor from ordinary to extraordinary. This includes being mindful of texture, patterns, and symmetry, all of which play a significant role in creating a balanced and visually pleasing space.
Moreover, decorators ensure that all details align with the couple’s preferences. This might include personalized table settings with the couple’s initials, custom lighting that complements the venue’s architecture, or unique guest welcome signs that reflect the wedding theme.
6. Managing Vendors and Logistics
Wedding decorators don’t work in isolation. They collaborate with a team of vendors to bring their design vision to life. From florists to lighting technicians and furniture rentals, a wedding decorator coordinates with multiple professionals to ensure that each element is executed flawlessly. This requires strong organizational skills and an ability to manage timelines effectively.
Additionally, wedding decorators play a pivotal role in troubleshooting. If there are last-minute changes, such as unexpected weather for outdoor weddings or logistical issues with vendors, decorators must step in to adjust plans without compromising the aesthetic appeal.
7. Enhancing the Guest Experience
While the decor is mainly for the couple, it also plays a significant role in enhancing the guest experience. A beautifully decorated venue creates an inviting atmosphere, making guests feel welcome and excited to be part of the celebration. Wedding decorators think about how guests will interact with the space, from walking down the aisle to finding their seats at the reception.
Decorators also often curate unique decor experiences, such as photobooths with themed backdrops or interactive installations that guests can enjoy. These creative touches add an element of fun and ensure that the wedding is not only beautiful but also memorable for everyone in attendance.
Conclusion
The role of wedding decorators in creating a dream wedding cannot be overstated. From interpreting a couple’s vision to managing the intricate details of decor and logistics, they are essential in bringing the dream wedding to life. A talented wedding decorator does more than simply arrange flowers or hang lights — they curate an immersive experience that will be cherished by the couple and their guests for years to come. With their creativity, attention to detail, and expertise, they transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary celebrations, making them an indispensable part of any wedding.
