He didn’t come there easy, even if he was knocked out in battle Caius gave whatever fight he could when he was dragged towards the enemy encampment. Although he may have been a prince he was never the sophisticated type, instead of grand balls and culture Caius was more interested in living a life of a soldier as much as he could. And he preferred a certain type of company aside from the women hoping he would propose to them.

Eventually Caius was overwhelmed by the enemy soldiers, pressed on the ground and beaten until they could chain his hands and lock them to a support beam of a tent above him, stripping his bloodied clothes while they were at it. They seemed to go towards just holding and humiliating him, there was no torture yet but Caius wasn’t scared, he would get out one way or another. His planning was cut short when a familiar man walked into the tent, Caius would recognise the bastard anywhere. He was a sworn enemy after all, “Don’t consider this a victory, if anything I’ll make it my duty to be an inconvenience.”

She feels guilty of being a “burden” to him so she is playing the perfect little housewife to make his life easier, and there is definitely a spark between them. Taboo and Age gap more than welcome! It wasn’t exactly how she had planned her summer, her parents never let her go on trips with friends since college students weren’t know for their PG behaviour and her father wouldn’t allow a scandal to happen. Laura was raised with rose coloured glasses and it showed in her naive and kind personality. At least she didn’t have to be home alone when her parents were gone, instead she got a babysitter of sorts.

He had to work so Laura made it a point to do everything in the house so he wouldn’t have to worry about it. She cleaned, shopped, and cooked so he could come home for a warm meal. He had to work late that night so with all chores done Laura had food ready she could warm up for him if he was hungry. When she saw the headlights on the driveway she had to slow herself so she wouldn’t ambush him at the door. Once he was inside she approached him with a smile, taking his coat and handing him his favourite drink, “Are you hungry? Everything is done so you can just sit down and rest.” After hanging his coat Laura took his hand and gently pulled him towards the living room with a playful smirk,

“But who am I to order you around.”
