Cannabis Use Linked To Improved COVID-19 Outcomes, New Study Suggests - Published Sept 9, 2024

Recent research from Northwell Health, published in late August in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research, indicates that marijuana users may face better outcomes when battling COVID-19, including lower rates of severe infections and reduced likelihood of intubation or death. This promising development points to the potential immunomodulatory effects of cannabis, which could lessen dangerous inflammation during infection.
Cannabis Users Show Lower COVID-19 Mortality The study analyzed data from the National Inpatient Sample Database, comparing hospital admissions for COVID-19 among cannabis users and non-users. Adjusting for various factors like age, gender, and comorbidities, the findings, as reported by Forbes, revealed a significant reduction in mortality and severe complications such as lung failure among cannabis users. Specifically, the mortality rate among non-users was 5.1%, nearly double the 2.8% observed in cannabis users. Additionally, cannabis users tended to have shorter hospital stays, averaging 6.4 days compared to 7.0 days for non-users.
Cautions Noted Despite Positive Findings However, despite these encouraging results, experts urge caution. Dr. Benjamin Caplan, a cannabis expert and author consulted by Forbes, highlighted potential limitations in the study, such as challenges in adequately matching study subjects and absence of crucial data, including patient inflammation levels and the specific cannabis products used.
Mixed Research Findings On Cannabis And COVID-19 The study's preliminary results as well as previous research also support the potential association between cannabis and reduced COVID-19 severity. For instance, a 2022 study by researchers from Oregon State University showed that certain cannabinoid acids in cannabis could prevent the SARS-CoV-2 virus from entering human cells in vitro by binding to its spike protein, suggesting a possible preventive role against the virus.

MonocoDoll's Vile Ventures (Drug Dealing) Mod Report (Small Additions, Additional Tunables, Animation Bloopers, Testing/Bug Fixes)
Another Month has passed. Which means another Mod Report for my Vile Ventures mod. This month I have been focusing on adding small additions, creating more tunables, attempt at first consuming animation, and testing the mod on a playthrough to find any bugs that may have been missed. Which I will go over these on the report.
[Small Additions]
-Shroom Harvestable
A new Shroom Harvestable has been created. As I honestly forgot to create one when I had previously made my other custom plants. The shroom seeds are obtainable through your NPC drug dealer after aquiring Drug Dealing Skill level 4.
You are also able to craft your own baggies of Shrooms through obtaining 6 Shroom ingredients and one baggy.
The Shroom Baggies are also obtainable through your Drug Dealer NPC, and there are no skill requirements needed to obtain the consumable shroom baggies.
-Illegally aquiring Drug Seeds
You are now able to obtain Drug Seeds Illegally via your NPC Drug Dealer. However, you must meet a certain threshold within your Drug Dealing Skill level. The prices for each seed is tunable.
-Drug Dealing Skill Level 3: Unlocks White Widow and Purple Haze Buds
-Drug Dealing Skill Level 4: Unlocks Skunk and OG Kush Buds. As Well as Shrooms seed.
-Drug Dealing Skill Level 5: Unlocks AK47 and Amnesia Buds. As well as Coca Seeds.
-Drug Dealing Skill Level 7: Unlocks Opium Seed.
-Racket Inheritance
Any Rackets that your Drug Dealer Sim owns can now be passed down to someone in the case of your sim dying. You are able to ask any Teen or above sim to take over your operations when you pass. The sim being asked must not be against Illegal drugs and need to have at least a friendship relationship established. Otherwise they will not accept your offer.
In the case that your sim who owns the Illegal racket does not assign anyone to inheret the rackets. The Rackets will first be handed to a child of the sim. If no children are present, then a sibling. If No siblings are present, then a parent. Otherwise, the racket will be lost upon death.
-Added Extra Benefits For Completing Drug Dealing Challenges.
Completing the Cannabis Dealer Expert, Psychedelic Dealer Expert, Pill Dealer Expert, and Powder Dealer Expert challenges now provides an additional bonus on top of just increasing sale earnings for the category of the drug. Completing these category challenges will now net you high quality product when you are crafting your own supply. So collecting your cured weed while having the Cannabis Dealing Expert challenge completed will provide you with high quality cannabis baggy instead of normal quality cannabis baggy.
-Lean Is Craftable
Lean is now craftable. Select a Styfoam Cup. You will need Jolly Ranchers, Sprite, Styrofoam Cup, and Cold Medicine. The cold medicine has up to 4 uses. So with one cold medicine, you can create up to 4 Lean.
-Using Baby Laxatives to Cut High Quality Cocaine
Baby Laxatives will be obtainable at the grocery store. On Drug Dealing Skill level 2, you will be able to utilize them to cut High Quality Cocaine Baggies into normal quality Cocaine Baggies. Which will either net you two or three Normal Quality Cocaine Baggies.
-Finished Making Moodlet Images For each Custom Moodlet
At this moment, the total amount of custom moodlets provides by this mod will be 106. The images for these moodlets have been completed.

I also added some notable tunable's to certain features. There are many more, but I will notate the ones that were introduced during this month.
-Overdose Chances
Chance of overdosing on drugs are tunable. By default the values for each drug.
Lean: 60%
Adderall: 40%
PainKillers: 50%
Xanax: 45%
MDMA: 55%
Cocaine: 70%
Meth: 80%
Heroin: 90%
Overdosing can only occurs if your sim takes more than one dose of the substance when they are already under the effects of that substance.
-Fatal Overdose Chances
You can also determine the chances of an overdose being fatal. If the overdose is fatal, the sim will die. If it is not fatal the sim will be knocked out and fall asleep. By default the values for a fatal overdose are...

-Time it takes to Cure Weed
Previously, the time it took to cure weed in a jar was not a tunable. While I was playing a playthrough with my mod, I figured that some would appreciate this as a tunable. By default it is 24 hours.
-Time It Takes for Cocaine Brick and Meth Package to finish
Previously, the time it took for Cocaine Brick and Meth Package to be completed in their respective containers was not a tunable. The time it takes is now tunable. By default, it takes 48 hours for a Cocaine Brick and Meth Package to be collected in their respective containers after filling it up.
-Drug Dealing Skill Points earned per Sale
You will be able to dictate just how much skill points your sim earns per type of drug sold. By Default selling Cannabis, Psychedelic, Pill, and Powdered type drugs net you 100 skillpoints. Which is a bit of a grind. For example at the moment during my playthrough I sold 139 drugs and I just got to Drug Dealing Skill level 5.
[Animation Attempt]
There was an attempt during the month to at least produce one consumption animation for this month. However, the prop refused to appear in the correct location. I'm still unsure what went wrong, but I will continue to look into it. The attempt was made for the drink Lean animation.
[Changes/Fixes Made During Testing]
I decided to perform a playthrough with my mod. To determine if I should make any changes or if there are any bugs that need fixing. Which there were a few I found.
-Fixed Bug Preventing my custom plants from growing overtime.
-Fixed a Bug Preventing the heat system from saving after reloading a save:
Example, my sim had a heat level of 15. Making him eligible to potentially have his residence raided. However, when I reloaded my save after saving. My sims heat level went back down to 0. This is resolved and heat level will be retained even after reloading a save.
-Fixed Empty Jars having a black substance inside of them:
This was a problem I had in the past, but didn't decide to expirement to try to fix it until it started to bother me in my playthrough. The black substance only appeared after you collected your cured cannabis. However, the empty jars are now truly empty.
-Made a adjustment to crafting drugs via the Chemistry Table:
Previously when processing Coke Powder, Meth Tray, Heroin, and MDMA there were no Drug Dealing Skill Requirements. I decided to go back and add a Drug Dealing Skill requirement in order to produce these drugs via the Chemistry Table. Especially for Meth. Since all the ingredients to produce meth is obtainable through the grocery store. Which will make it too easy I thought. So now on top of the logic skills required to produce these substances. MDMA production will require a Drug Dealing Skill of 4, Cocaine/Meth Production will require a Drug Dealing Skill of 5 Heroin production will require a Drug Dealing Skill of 7. Cannabis and Shrooms still do not require a drug dealing skill. Just the necessary ingredients for now.
And that is all I have to report on for this month. We went over creating a Shroom harvestable, Racket Inheritance, Crafting Lean, Obtaining Drug Seeds Illegally, Cutting High Quality Cocaine with baby laxatives, Adding more tunables, and making adjustments and fixing bugs found during my playthrough.
I had fun testing the early game of my mod. I managed to make it to drug dealing skill level 5 and was satisfied with the early game of the mod. I will continue to test my playthrough and attempt to make it to the late game of my mod. Where I will be attempting to own my own rackets and ensure that they work just perfectly. If all is well during my playthrough then everything is complete regarding my Drug Dealing side of the mod. And all that would be left are the final touches of the consumption of these substances. Which will include consumption Animations, reactions of nearby sims when smoking, and a rolling skill for joints and blunts, and possibly anything else that I may think of later on.
Now I'm going to go back to being a ghost. However, again thank you for all those that are patient.

I used to be a SWERF until January. Now I realise how much harm that caused and I am so sorry for being so ignorant to sex workers who are probably among the most vulnerable women out there (and men and enbies too). Consensual sex work is work and I strongly advocate its legality so we can properly regulate it to be less exploitative.
Thing is when something is legal, it’s easy to control and regulate it. You can see how all the rules that should be in place with drugs and alcohol are blatantly ignored when they’re illegal. Same goes for sex work.
The regulations should be that sex workers get most of the pay they get and any pimps involved should only get part of it since the workers did most of the work although I’m still on the fence with pimping. Obviously you should be 18 years old or over and sex workers should be able to unionise. Denying sexual services should also be allowed.
I think we can view things as contractors or direct hires. If SW were legitimized as a business, SWers wouldn’t need “pimps” (aka traffickers). If they preferred to go legit, then they’re managers or business owners. I have a feeling, just like a “plug” when cannabis was legalized in certain states, they like tax free revenue and the freedom to exploit their “product” without govt oversight. I’d still like to see it legalized or at least decriminalized, for safety reasons. Plus health insurance.
Sex work should indeed be legal, and if you’re interested to learn more about effective policies around it, look into the discourse around decriminalization. (you can take it a step further by listening to sex workers and sw unions who call for decriminalization NOT legalization.) That’s the preferred model for many (if not most) sex workers. It’s a very interesting and important topic.
We all use our bodies for money. Every. Single. One. Of. Us. There is no difference between a tiler using his arms and legs etc to do their job, and a sex worker using their genitals to do their job. Therefore, every sex worker should have the same rights as every other worker - a safe, regulated and respectful work environment with access to all the tools required to do their job safely.

Lesotho's 🇱🇸 Marijuana Exportation to hit US$3.67m this year.
Kingdom of Lesotho exported estimated 8.5 tones of medicinal marijuana to North Macedonia.
It is the world's largest single legal cannabis export so far.
Lesotho export in Marijuana is expected to see significant growth in its cannabis market. this 2024, revenue in the cannabis market is projected to reach US$3.67m. This is expected to increase at an annual growth rate of 1.48%, resulting in a market volume of US$3.95m by 2029.
It exports Non psychoactive cannabidiol (CBD) oil extracts and other medical cannabis products primarily to South Africa and is working on entering markets in Europe and the Middle East, as well as Australia.
It's the country most significant cash-crop. In the 2000s it was estimated that 70% of the cannabis in South Africa originated in Lesotho.
Lesotho made history by becoming the first certified African country to supply the European Union with cannabis for pharmaceutical use.
In 2017 Lesotho became the first African country to allow the cultivation of cannabis for medicinal purposes. Then Deputy health minister Manthabiseng Phohleli told AFP that the legalization of cannabis presented “a huge opportunity for the country”, which boasts 300 days of sunshine per year

About damn time. These unlicensed shops didn't pay their fees or taxes, and their products are unregulated and often acquired through criminal networks. They put licensed shops that engage with the law in good faith at a disadvantage. And perhaps worst of all, they were able, though Big Pot investment capital, able to throw excessive gobs of money at landlords, thus increasing rents for all small businesses and driving out many neighborhood institutions. Instead of every landlord dreaming of scoring a bank branch, now they dreamed of a smoke shop. Storefronts would remain vacant since no other businesses could afford landlords' inflated expectations, while unlicensed smoke shops oversaturated blocks and neighborhoods, surviving the competition and bad business models thanks to their illicit backers.
There was nothing good about the explosion in unlicensed smoke shops, and I will be very glad to see them forced to either play by the rules or close.

The sensation of wanting to consume unique combinations of food or more food than normal after using cannabis products is called “the munchies.” It occurs whether you choose to smoke, vape, or consume edibles and is the main reason why cannabis is recommended to cancer patients going through chemotherapy or for those experiencing certain eating disorders.
Your body normally signals to your brain when it's hungry by releasing small signaling molecules called hormones. These hormones go to areas in the brain, such as the hypothalamus, that signal you to look for food when your stomach is empty. Over 20 gut hormones, the most well-known being ghrelin, are produced to help regulate appetites.
Additionally, your body's endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays a role in controlling hunger. The endocannabinoids AEA and 2AG activate cannabinoid receptors in the body and stimulate hunger.
The science behind the munchies comes down to three separate mechanisms:
THC interacts with cannabinoid receptors on the gut's cells, which ultimately causes an increase in the levels of ghrelin being produced, making you feel more hungry.
In the hypothalamus, which controls hunger and appetite, among many things, there is a group of neurons called the POMC neurons, which typically release a compound to make you feel full. However, when activated by THC, it causes the POMC neurons to stop producing the compound that makes you feel satiated and instead starts producing endorphins, which make you feel more hungry.
THC can mimic cannabinoid compounds that the body makes, called endocannabinoids, that are involved in signaling hunger in the brain.
In each case, consuming cannabis makes people feel more hungry since THC causes the body to release or mimic hunger hormones.

Canada’s largest drug ‘superlab’ in history has been taken down, police say (Washington Post) Canadian federal officers have dismantled what they described to be the largest, most sophisticated drug lab in the country’s history, seizing a massive cache of weapons and drugs intended for both international and domestic distribution. The facility, described by police officers as a drug “superlab,” contained enough fentanyl and precursor chemicals to produce more than 95.5 million potentially lethal doses of fentanyl, an amount that “could have taken the lives of every Canadian, at least twice over,” Assistant Commissioner David Teboul with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a statement. About 54 kilograms of fentanyl and 390 kilograms of methamphetamine, in addition to “massive amounts of precursor chemicals” and smaller amounts of cocaine, MDMA and cannabis, were discovered at the facility in Falkland, a small rural community in British Columbia, the police statement said, adding that the lab was believed to be behind the production and distribution of “unprecedented quantities” of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Bolivia’s president accuses supporters of former leader Morales of seizing 3 military barracks (AP) Bolivian President Luis Arce on Friday condemned the seizure of three military units by supporters of former President Evo Morales, saying that “the taking of a military unit is a crime of treason against the homeland and an affront to the country’s Constitution.” Earlier on Friday the Bolivian Armed Forces said in a statement that “irregular armed groups” had kidnapped military personnel and took control of military units in the center of the country, where police officers began to clear the roads blocked 19 days ago by supporters of former President Evo Morales. US is sending $425 million in military assistance to Ukraine (AP) The Pentagon announced Friday it was sending an additional $425 million in military assistance to Ukraine as Kyiv prepares to face Russian forces augmented by North Korean troops. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin had said more aid was coming, and soon, during his visit to Kyiv last week. This aid package includes weapons that will be pulled from existing U.S. stockpiles, including air defense interceptors for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems, munitions for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and 155 mm artillery, and armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons.
Japan plans automated cargo transport system to relieve shortage of drivers (AP) Japan is planning to build an automated cargo transport corridor between Tokyo and Osaka, dubbed a “conveyor belt road” by the government, to make up for a shortage of truck drivers. A computer graphics video made by the government shows big, wheeled boxes moving along a three-lane corridor, also called an “auto flow road,” in the middle of a big highway. A trial system is due to start test runs in 2027 or early 2028, aiming for full operations by the mid-2030s. The plan may sound like a solution that would only work in relatively low-crime, densely populated societies like Japan, not sprawling nations like the U.S. But similar ideas are being considered in Switzerland and Great Britain. North Gaza 'apocalyptic,' everyone at 'imminent risk' of death, warns UN (Reuters) The situation in the northern Gaza Strip is "apocalyptic" as Israel pursues a military offensive against Hamas militants in the area, top United Nations officials warned on Friday. "The entire Palestinian population in North Gaza is at imminent risk of dying from disease, famine and violence," they said in a statement signed by the acting U.N. aid chief Joyce Msuya, heads of U.N. agencies, including U.N. children's agency UNICEF and the World Food Programme, and other aid groups. Israel began a wide military push in northern Gaza last month. Almost two dozen countries at high risk of acute hunger, UN report reveals (Guardian) According to a joint report by the U.N.’s Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Program, 22 countries across the globe are expected to experience heightened levels of acute food insecurity over the next six months. Five of those countries—Sudan, South Sudan, Mali, Palestine, and Haiti—are expected to face famine or the risk of famine between now and May 2025. Situations are likely to degrade even further in some areas experiencing food insecurity as a La Niña weather pattern is projected to sweep the globe this winter. With unusually high levels of rainfall (and the accompanying risk of flooding) expected for some regions, “many countries experiencing humanitarian crises risk being further affected by La Niña, which could exacerbate food insecurity, increase human suffering and result in further economic losses,” added the representative.

Brazilian industry urges regulatory agency to end cannabis import
Association requests ANVISA to revoke measure allowing individuals to buy cannabis-based products from abroad
Sindusfarma, the Brazilian pharmaceutical industry association, has petitioned the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) to revoke resolution RDC 660, which allows patients to import cannabis for medical purposes. The measure was adopted in 2022 in response to increasing legal demands and a product shortage in Brazil.
“With the advancement of the domestic market for medicinal cannabis, there are now 37 products duly approved by ANVISA and available for sale in Brazil. This development indicates that there is no longer a need for specific regulations allowing direct importation of cannabis products by individuals,” Sindusfarma wrote in its letter to ANVISA on September 19, which Valor reviewed. When contacted, Sindusfarma confirmed it had submitted a request to the regulatory agency.
The volume of imports is not growing at the same pace as in previous years. In the first half of this year, there were 75,800 requests for purchases from abroad, a 14.6% increase over the same period in 2023. Between 2019 and 2023, the demand for imports doubled each year.

Cannabis is a cure for many diseases and a useful tool which becomes a prolonged regular habit in most who set out to use it for spiritual growth, ultimately causing dependency if not combined and integrated through meditation.
Initially it catapults the process of transmutation ,one may find themselves induced into blissful altered states resembling enlightenment, opening new etheric channels due to an overflow of prana, expanded creativity and clearing old blocks, but since this is artificially made to surface, it is not a sustained shift as it is with meditation. What has surfaced with marijuana use settles down deeper once the effects have worn out. The energy of the system gets occupied in neutralising the sudden amplification of the metabolism while its peaking, and later to maintain and recover the metabolism as the downer hits and prana dips. One may feel they have moved a step forward in their process but at the same time they have fallen back two steps by taxing the etheric, nervous and endocrine system.
The regular use overwhelms the nerves by increasing production of cannabinoids beyond the natural capacity of the receptors to sustain such a flooding of these neurotransmitters thus desensitising them. The increased neural activity further brings the hormonal production to a high which drains the nutrients from other processes of the body such as immune system, eventually its like running an engine without lubricant oil, ceribro-spinal fluids. On an emotional and mental level issues seem to be getting resolved, but since its not a permanent clearing, the patterns get ingrained deeper in a passive state, only to pop out time to time causing panic, dullness/ numbness, lack of clarity, paranoia, aggressive & depressive states.
The biochemistry within our system is capable of producing all required substance, dopamine, cannabinoids, tryptamines , serotonin, meletonin . In the exact quantity the system can handle for optimal functioning without the use of external help unless there is an organic deficiency in which case other satvic ayurvedic herbs can be used to balance which have less severe side effects.

Drug Dealing Mod Report (Dealing Drugs and Custom Plants)
Another month has passed, which means I am doing another report regarding my Drug Dealing mod. In my previous reports, I had shared images of the meshing of some of the items that were going to be used in the mod. As well as share the effects that the drugs would have on the sim. The effects being while under the influence, addiction, withdrawals, and overdoses were some of the things I went over in my previous reports. For this report we will go over what I had worked on since my last report. Which is the Dealing aspect and the creation of custom plants.
Dealing Aspect
To First begin dealing drugs, you will need to assign a Drug Dealer NPC to any sim outside your household. The Drug Dealer NPC will be a sim that you will be able to Buy Drugs from and Inquire about Dealing.
Once you assign your NPC Drug Dealer, you can now purchase drugs from your NPC Drug Dealer. Your dealer will have a chance to roll 6 random average quality drugs each day. And between 8:00PM-4:00AM your dealer will roll 4 random high quality drugs. As of this moment the high quality drugs only have a higher potential earnings when selling them.
The prices of the drugs are all tunable. So if you were to want to increase the cost of the drugs or lower them. You can!
In order to become a drug dealer, you will need to inquire about drug dealing to your NPC Drug Dealer. As long as you two are friends, you will be given permission to start dealing. Which your sim will then aquire the skill.
The Drug Dealing skill has statistics which record the number of drugs that you have sold and the revenue that you made from them. Each in their own individual category and all together. The seperate groups are... [Cannabis]

Cannabis Dealer Expert
Upon Completion of the challenge will net you 25% more revenue from selling Cannabis products
Psychedelic Dealer Expert
Upon Completion of the challenge will net you 25% more revenue from selling Psychedelic products
Pill Dealer Expert
Upon Completion of the challenge will net you 25% more revenue from selling Pill products
Powdered Dealer Expert

Big Shot Dealer
Upon Completion of the challenge will net you 25% more revenue from selling any drug products.
Good Drug Dealer
As long as you are able to sell 50 Cannabis or Psychedelic drugs and continue to not sell any pill or powdered drugs you will get a lower sentence when being dealt by the police.
The requirements to meet these challenges are also tunable. If you were to want to lower the amount to complete the challenge or increase it.
Now that we have some supply we can sell some drugs to other sims. In order to sell to other sims you will first need to meet a relationship value of 15 with the other sim. Which you can then speak about drugs. This can be a study about drugs or a funny drug story for example. Eventually the sim will either become interested or not interested in drugs. When the sim decides. You will be able to seal the deal to the sim. Selecting a product from your inventory.
The higher your Charisma skill, the more likely a neutral sim will be willing to purchase drugs. Sims that are for drugs will always be interested. And Sims against drugs will always never be interested. For Drugs, Against Drugs, and Neutral sims are all determined via their traits.
If the sim were to be interested in drugs. They will purchase the drugs. And you will have the drug removed from your inventory and you will earn some simoleans. Which are dependent on your skill level, a random number between a mininum and maximum amount, and if you were to have some completed challenges from the Drug Dealing skill which could increase your earnings. This time around you are able to sell up to 4-5 drugs to a single client. before they receive a cooldown of 8 hours. (In my Arms dealing mod I made you all sell only one product to a sim. Which at least in my playthrough selling 5 a day was a chore. So I increased the amount that you are able to sell before the sim isn't able to buy anymore.)
Additionally, the Minimum and Maximum value's are tunable. So you can customize sell prices of the drug products to better fit your economy. I will demonstrate a single example of how the earnings work for the drugs.
[Explanation of how earnings of dealing drugs work]
For example Average Cocaine has a default price of 400. It also has a min sale value of 350 by default. and a max sale value of 550 by default. Additionally, for each skill level in the Drug Dealing skill increases your earnings by 5%. And if you were to have the Powdered Dealing Expert Challenge completed you will have an additional 25% boost to your earnings. The Big Shot Dealer challenge will also give you a 25% boost to your earnings.
[Math Example]
So with all those values. Lets say your sim has a Drug Dealing Skill of 10, has completed the Powdered Dealing Expert and the Big Shot Dealer challenge. And the min and max sale value of Cocaine are the default values of 350 and 550. The price of average Cocaine is also the default value of 400
-Drug Dealing Skill level 10 provides 50% increase to earnings
-Powdered Dealing Expert provides 25% increase to earnings
-Big Shot Dealer will increase earnings by 25%
So total markup value will be 100%
The price of average Cocaine will be multiplied by our markup value.
So, 400 *(0.50 + 0.25 + 0.25) = 400
Then, a random value will be selected between our min and max sale value of cocaine. The min and max are 350-550. Lets say we got lucky and we got the max value of 550.
Now, our earnings for selling average Cocaine would be (400 + 550) = 950
[When Sims Are Not Interested In Drugs]
When sims are not interested in drugs, depending on their traits or profession. They will either tell you they aren't interested and nothing negative will come from it. Or they will threaten to call the cops.
(I know of the spelling error. I will fix that)
You will have three options to react to this. You can choose to Bribe, Intimidate, and Runaway. This mechanic works just like my Arms Dealing mod.
[Bribe]
You will offer cash for the sim to turn the other way. If sim accepts they receive payment and you are free to go. If sim refuses your bribe, then the cops will be called. Where you will inevitably be arrested.
[Intimidate]
If you succesfully intimidate the sim, they will not call the cops and you will be able to leave. If you are not succesful, the sim will call the cops and you will inevitably be arrested.
The higher tier gun that your sim has in their inventory, will increase the likelyhood that the intimidation will work. Yes the guns will be the same from my Arms Dealing mod.
[Runaway]
If you succesfully runaway, you will be given a timer to leave the lot before the cops show up. If you fail to leave the lot. The cops will arrest you. If you fail to runaway, the cops will be called and you will inevitably be arrested.
The higher your athletic skill the more likely you are to be able to succesfully Runaway.
[Arrested For Drug Dealing]
If your attempt to evade the cops fail, an officer will respond and you will be taken to prison and Sentenced.
My sim has only been sentenced to a day in prison. The sentence is purely dependent on the value of the drugs contained in your sims inventory. By default for each Cannabis item you will receive a 250 Fine, For each Psychedelic you will receive a 500 Fine, For each Pill Bottle Drug you will receive a 750 Fine, and for each powdered drug you will receive a 1000 Fine.
The sentence can be a day, three days, or 5 days. The value needed to receive a 5 day sentence would be above 7500, for three days it would be between 5000-7500, and a day would be between 2500-5000. Anything below 2500, I would like to work on a house arrest function. (House arrest not implemented yet.)
You will also get a standard fine of 2000 for Drug Dealing. So getting caught can be very costly.
These values are all Tunable. So you can play around with the fines and the threshold to get a certain sentence.
Custom Plants Aspect
Before I mention what has been worked on regarding the plants. I would really like to thank @bietjie as they had walked me through making custom plants and have helped me each time I ran into an issue. Without the assistance, the implementation of these plants would most of likely taken much more longer. So again thank you.
One of the most popular feauture requests with a Drug mod was making harvestable plants. As of this moment, I have made 8 different plants. 6 Cannabis Plants for each strain I introduced to the mod, a Coca Plant, and a Opium Plant.

Which after it is cure you can get a baggy of the strain of weed.
And that is all I have to report on for this month. I have most of the dealing aspect of the mod completed. And Just finished making my harvestable plants. Up next, I will most likely work on the crafting/production of drugs. Which includes curing weed to get weed baggys, producing Cocaine to get bricks, producing heroin to get heroin baggy's, producing Meth to get a Meth package, producing MDMA baggy's or pill bottles, and producing Lean. So there's gonna be a lot of meshing for the other non harvestable ingredients.
Now I'm going to be a ghost again. However, I'll leave you a sneak peak of the new jars filled with each strain that is curing.

A disorienting and blinding fog connected to a store's alarm is a relatively new security measure to stop would-be thieves as organized retail crime spirals out of control.
The technology, which was created by DensityUSA, is already in use in several countries in the European Union and Australia but is becoming more prevalent in the U.S., said Mike Egel, president of DensityUSA.
Stores lost an estimated $86.6 billion to retail theft in 2022, and projections indicate that amount may reach $115 billion in 2025, according to Capital One Shopping Research.
"I think the COVID-19 pandemic tore the social and economic fabric of America," Egel told Fox News Digital. "Pre-pandemic, crime was on the decline. But when the nation shut down and the economy stepped backwards, common sense went to an all-time low. And sadly, crime rose and continues to grow."
Businesses have been forced to hide products behind registers or lock them up in glass cases to protect their inventory.
That hasn't stopped orchestrated smash-and-grab robberies in which thieves execute intricate plots to grab as many items as possible and leave before witnesses get a good look or police respond.
DOLLAR TREE TAKING ‘VERY DEFENSIVE APPROACH’ TO SHOPLIFTING, CEO SAYS
Egel said there was one instance in the United Kingdom where a truck took out the entire front of a jewelry store, but the fog covered the 900-square-foot space in less than five seconds.
"Once it's activated, the DensityUSA system creates a dense fog with near-zero visibility conditions in just seconds," Egel said. "The fog is designed to be dense and disorientating to deter an intruder from following through with their intentions."
In the case of the U.K. jewelry store, the thieves came away empty-handed, he said: "Thieves can’t steal what they can’t see."
The company is based in St. Louis, but the European Union was the first to approve the fog machine as a crime deterrent.
After seeing its success, Egel said he and his business partner, Scott Bader, introduced their security measure to the United States, which is used in stores in a handful of states.
"After seeing the rise in crime across the United States and billions of dollars lost to intrusions, including burglaries, riots and looting, we partnered with our colleagues in the European Union to bring Density Global to the U.S. as DensityUSA," Egel said.
"The system can be used in all retail settings, from clothing stores and pharmacies to cannabis stores, from convenience stores to gun shops."
A 2022 report from the Retail Security Survey found $94.5 billion in losses in 2021 because of shrink – losses coming from causes other than sales – which includes shoplifting and damaged products.
That's up from $90.8 billion in 2020.
"The study found that, similar to the last five years, the average shrink rate in 2021 was 1.4%," according to the study.
Organized retail crime, which increased on average by 26.5% in 2021, is the driving force, the study says.
Retailers, on average, saw a 26.5% increase in organized retail crime (ORC).
"Eight in 10 retailers surveyed report that the violence and aggression associated with ORC incidents increased in the past year," the 2022 Retail Security Survey says.
"The current climate of active assailants and gun violence add to retailers' concerns about being able to keep employees and customers safe."
