INCLUSION: LEARN TOGETHER
Inclusion is a right, not a privilege for a select few. – Oberti v. Board of Education
Inclusive Education is including children with disabilities in regular classrooms. It is about all children learning together even if they differ from each other in style and pace of learning—it is an education for all.
 Student Benefits
 1.    Posivite peer interactions
Tumblr media
In inclusion settings, there are more positive peer interactions. Students often get to work in a small group and manage themselves in group activities.
 2.    Communication
Tumblr media
Special education students have improved their communication skills. They have the right and opportunity to communicate and to express themselves the way they can.  Effective communication is important and needed for us to survive, learn, plan, and lead others in the real world.
 3.      I.E.P. Outcomes
Tumblr media
The I.E.P. outcomes of special needs students have reportedly been met at a higher rate in an inclusion setting. Individual Education Program (I.E.P.) is the process whereby teachers, support personnel, and parents work together as a team to meet the needs of individual students who require a range of supports.
 4.      Career and social skills
Tumblr media
Being in the general education classroom with their non-disabled peers is better for the development of social skills and career readiness for special needs students. They will learn how to socialize at adapt to different circumstances.
5.      Self-esteem
Tumblr media
Placing special needs students in an inclusion setting have an increased level of self-esteem. They are often stigmatized when they are placed in the resource room that's why they need to feel a sense of belongingness and build their self-esteem.

I ain't really often singing songs from Indonesian local bands. But since I started co teaching music class for Students with Special Needs, I'm started listening & singing more songs from Indonesian Bands. "Adek" Auzan supposedly singing the song but in the middle of our session he decided that he is "tired" hehe So I took the mic and started singing. And it got me real hard. @ariel_inst the lyrics moved me. A lot. It's honesty. It's very deep. Or it's just something I could related to? I don't know Thank you @noah_site for this beautiful song #noah #peterpan #yangterdalam #music #singing #live #cover #inclusiveness #inclusiveschool #soh #schoolofhuman @indomusikgram (at School of Human Community)
