#oh the cop show did an episode or two abut racial profiling?#superstore has whole season arcs about retail workers unionizing and battling corporate for fair wages health care and working conditions#also a multi episode arc that shows the realities of being an undocumented immigrant in the united states#including an (illegal) ICE raid on the store that occurred because corporate wanted to scare off union efforts#episodes regularly address things like employees having to spend long stretches of time on public transit bc they can't afford a vehicle#or the struggles of being a single working parent and being unable to find child care#working a full time job and still not being able to afford to live on your own#all while still showcasing how completely batshit working in retail can be because customers do weird stuff#and coworkers always have weird petty drama
