"IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME GOING TO DUBAI? " you ask , breaking the deafening silence that surrounds the both of you as you seat in the comfy seat of business class which is slowly driving you crazy.
it has only been half an hour since your plane departed from incheon international airport. both you and EUNSEOK already finding comfort in your seats for the next nine and a half hour.
initially, you wanted to put on a few movies before falling asleep for the rest of the flight. however, your search for the perfect flight movie comes to a failure as you find nothing that piqued your interest after scrolling for half an hour.
EUNSEOK on the other hand seems to have settled down perfectly. unlike you who struggle to find an activity to stick with for the rest of the flight, EUNSEOK has already decided to listen to music while reading a book.
upon hearing your voice, EUNSEOK takes one of his earphones out to listen to your question properly.
"no, this is actually my first time going to dubai. " an awkward silence engulfs the both of you after he speaks.
a gust of wind from the cold air conditioner blows past you two, your body slightly shivering as the tiny hair on your body jumps at it— showing the severity of the awkward tension in between the both of you.
noticing the situation you guys seem to ne in, EUNSEOK takes responsibility to break the wall that is separating you and him by clearing his throat, "is this also your first time going to dubai? "
it's clear that despite EUNSEOK's effort to cool things down, the tension between the two of you has only gotten thicker— as if it wasn't thick enough already— the moment you attempt a conversation with him.
curse you for being so picky about movies.
your face blank as you opt to stare at him as if he's some kind of mirror you could reflect your actions to. the longer you stare, the harder you feel your conscience slapping you across the face.
except your overbearing silence freaks EUNSEOK out a bit, he shuffles in his seat, backbone unnaturally straightened creating a very great yet awkward posture.
"is there something on my face? " perhaps you stare a little too long. you blink your eyes and meet EUNSEOK's terrified one, lacing with fear.
you mentally face palm yourself for not saying anything despite being the one who asked the question.
"oh sorry, i didn't mean to stare. " you can feel heat creeping up your cheeks. to say that you are embarrassed would be an understatement, you are completely appalled.
EUNSEOK looks away, his face showing a mirrored expression to yours— except his cheeks aren't pink. aside from that, you can easily tell from his slightly widened eyes and he way he captures his bottom lip in between his teeth is enough to tell you that he is embarrassed.
and you know this for sure because you may still be string at him.
maybe just not hard enough considering the fact that you missed the way his ears are in a very bright shade of pink.
another gust of wind blows over.
this time, you decide to take the upper hand in fixing whatever mess of a battle of awkward silence you started and smack your lips together. "would you like to watch a movie together? "
EUNSEOK's eyebrow raised in interest as he averts his gaze from the book to listen to you for the second time.
his eyes stare at yours— his very beautiful doe eyes. "i- i mean, i was actually looking for a movie to watch but i couldn't find any so i was just wondering if you could help me find one. " you stutter, your confidence crumbling down all over what, his eyes?
"sure, what do you want to watch? " EUNSEOK leans over towards your seat to see your screen clearly as you browse through the numerous lists of movies.
EUNSEOK scans the lists to look for a movie he might be interested in. it doesn't take long for him to find something that suits his taste.
a brown coloured poster decorated with the face of an old man, 'EINSTEIN' written clearly on top of the poster in a huge font for an easy read.
if there is an advantage of being your number 1 hater is that he knows and remembers the most useless thing about you— one of them being your absolute hatred towards physics.
what about him? oh darling, after losing to you in a mathematics competition, he makes it his new life goal to be better than you in physics.
that's it, this is it.
if you guys watch the movie, you're going to be bored out of your life. and when that happens, he's going to tell you all about einstein and his life achievements which will make you realise that he's better than you in one aspect of life—
"legally blonde! " his train of thoughts is cut off by your screech. you turn your head towards him, your eyes sparkling in excitement as your right hand grab his left one, squeezing tightly, "can we watch legally blonde, pretty please? "
"sure. " EUNSEOK says hesitantly, his eyes blinking in disbelief.
no words can explain the things happening in EUNSEOK's head. his eyes differ from the screen, the amount of pink coloured things and ambience in the movie slowly giving him a headache.
hot pinks, especially.
it has been a few minutes since the movie started and he still cant understand what you see in this movie aside from a stupid blonde sorority girl who's a regular at this one beauty salon.
it doesn't help that you're also watching it with a small smile dancing on your lips. you're happy and enjoying yourself, and he hates to see that.
or maybe the both of you just fail to see things eye to eye.
EUNSEOK's eyes drop, lids feeling heavy the longer he lose focus and interest towards the movie. with each seconds that passes by, EUNSEOK can feel his body starting to shift into another dimension until—
"so you're breaking up with me because i'm too blonde? "
EUNSEOK swear to himself that he will not enjoy the movie, he make sure not to enjoy the movie. but somehow hearing the very same line he's been listening to on his tiktok fyp for the past few years pique his interest.
"so this is where the sound came from. i thought it was a meme this whole time! " he whispers to himself.
"it's intriguing, isn't it? " okay maybe he wasn't whispering.
you giggle at EUNSEOK's newfound interest in the movie. you would be lying if you are to say that you haven't realised how bored EUNSEOK was throughout the whole movie— given it is only a few minutes in— so unsurprisingly, you're shocked that all it takes to gain his attention is this particular line.
"you know, " you say, popping in a cashew in your mouth from the packet of salted nuts you asked the flight attendance for not too long ago. "if you really want to find out where more famous tiktok audios came from, we can binge watch a lot of 2000s movies— teen romance, of course. "
"wouldn't it take too much time! " EUNSEOK try reasoning out, not wanting to admit how he's actually considering your offer.
"well as if the duration of our flight isn't nearly ten hours. "
and that is how your plan of sleeping throughout the whole plane ride gets thrown out the window. movies after movies, more iconic line after iconic lines. you genuinely feel like this is the first time you and EUNSEOK are very comfortable with each other.
EUNSEOK also thinks that he is having a lot of fun with you right now, something he didn't think is capable to happen within his hatred towards you.
maybe, just maybe, he doesn't really hate you that much anymore.

Plane Ride to Heathrow
So... I guess I should actually start writing my whole UK journey before I grow older and my memories start messing with me.
(God I hope not, I'm already forgetful as I am.)
(But I'm also hoping that I won't weep as I'm writing this because of how nostalgic it's gonna be. Good, good times.)
Well, so, I've had some trips on the airplane. Some of the longer ones by the time I'm writing this would probably be 1) about 6 hours to Incheon, South Korea, 2) then around 9-10 hours to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and 3) lastly 16 hours to London, UK.
Since I'm here on the subject of my UK trip, we'll talk about the last one.
For some context, I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship to University College London in... you guessed it, London. And it would be my first time visiting a European country, let alone taking such a long journey. The 16-hour plane ride wasn't like straight without transit, though. I actually enjoy taking public transportation (bro, ain't no way I'm flying there on a private jet—I'm no Beyonce) including trains and buses, so sitting on the plane for hours would be no problem for me.
I began actual the trip from CGK, Jakarta, with the first destination to DXB, Dubai. I, along with my three other friends who also were about to start our studies at the same uni, departed with Emirates. We got the ticket for about... 9-10mio? Crazy expensive. However, I'm not kidding if I said I looked like someone who lived under a rock once I boarded the plane. It was probably the best one I've been in?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look, as I said, it's my first time being in such a huge airplane like this. I'm so impressed by the tiny stars on the ceiling (love the purple shade as well) and how they lit up when the lights were out. So darn cute hello??? And the entertainment provided was also very complete; you'd get to explore recently-released movies, listen to some music, watch series, and even play some games—hence I think why they have this console-looking gadget as seen in the third picture. I did a little bit of everything; I watched several movies until I was sleepy, then switched to music to help me relax before catching some Zs. Oh, I forgot to mention one little detail; the flight was around midnight. I think we boarded when it was almost 1 A.M. in the morning.
Also, my cabin luggage was broken right before I was about to board. RIP. Luckily, my friends were helpful and one of them brought sellotape with them, so we stitched it to the broken part. It was one of the wheels, and the luggage made an annoyingly loud sound as I dragged it with me. Lordy.
Anyways, it took about 8 hours from Jakarta to Dubai. I think I slept through it, mostly, if not for my excitement exploring the screen in front of me. We were also given some bread and beverage—as seen in the third picture—which were quite enjoyable. I had no idea why I ordered juice because apparently the juice in all airlines is the same. As in they're quite superficial and rather too sweet for my liking. But either way, it was an enjoyable 8-hours flight.
We landed in DXB the next morning, around 10-ish. After dealing with the immigration and everything, we spent some time in DXB since we had about an 8-hour gap to the next flight. I mean, it was a long journey, but on the bright side I could explore DXB to the point I even memorized the isles and hallways and corridors, considering how awful I am at navigation.
Tumblr media
The three of us decided to have lunch together and tried this Asian restaurant. We ordered those meals above—which unfortunately I can't remember what they're called. I mean, the one on the right surely tasted like fried rice (I think it tastes similar to biryani?) and the one on the right has a rather sweeter flavor. Either way, again, it was pretty delish, since I'd rather explore the food options than buy just some random chicken from fast food restaurants.

World Cup Bound 2023
By: Melanie J. Real
Away from the spotlight, the Philippine women’s national softball team continues a tradition of dominance with an eye on becoming one of the best softball teams in the world. As the country hosts the SEA GAMES, the Blu Girls hope not only to win medals, but also win the hearts and minds of more Filipino fans. (Ma. Angelica Garcia)
When the Filipinos think about the team's success in the Southeast Asia Games, the men’s basketball team always comes to mind. But our national team does not have a perfect gold medal record in SEA Games basketball having finished second in the 1989 edition of the tournament. In fact, the most dominant Filipino team in the SEA Games is our national women’s softball team, the Blu Girls. They have each won a gold medal in women’s softball at nine Southeast Asian Games. For all its success, softball remains relatively unknown in the Philippines, when most of the attention of fans is focused on mainstream televised sports like basketball and volleyball. But now the Philippine women’s softball/Blu Girls are in the top 4 for the World Cup 2023.
News and Events from Around the World As the world continues to shrink thanks to technology, it's important to keep up with what's happening beyond our local and national borders. Here's a look at some of the latest news and events happening around the world:
● Softball Blu Girls secure World Cup berth after finishing top four in Asian Cup 2023
The Philippine women’s softball team will travel to the 2024 Women’s Softball Cup after securing a place in the medal round of the 2023 Women’s Softball Asia Cup in Incheon, South Korea. The Blu Girls are looking to finish in the four of the Asia Cup after hosts South Korea lost 11-0 Japan on Thursday.
The top three from the Asia Cup will advance to the World Cup in Dubai, Ireland, Butrio, Italy and Valencia, Spain. But Asia gets a wild card, with fourth place in the tournament earning that spot. The Philippines lost 9-1 to Japan on Friday, but ended the preliminary round with a 5-3 fourth place record, a game ahead of South Korea.
The president of the Philippine Amateur Softball Association Jean Henri Lhuillier said that ‘I'm so proud of these girls, they really work hard for the moment and give it their all every game’. It was a huge achievement because it was an all-Filipino team, the first in nine years. We at ASAPHIL will ensure they get the preparation and exposure they need to compete against the best teams in the world at the World Cup in July, said Lhuillier.
The Philippines will take home the medal when they battle Chinese Taipei for bronze on Saturday. The Blu Girls took an early 4-0 lead but Chinese Taipei scored three runs at the bottom of the first inning to make it a close game. Chinese Taipei eventually seized control with three runs in the third inning. The ranking will determine where the Philippines ranks in the World Cup. The Blu Girls will take bronze with hosts Ireland, Australia, Botswana, Great Britain and the United States. Should the Philippines finish fourth in the Asia Cup, they will be up against Spain, Canada, Venezuela, New Zealand and the Asia champions in Group C. Were excited to get a World Cup berth, which was our goal at the start of the game. But we’ll be fighting for a podium, and I’m sure the team can do it. Said Blu Girls coach Randy Dizer.
The Philippines ended their preliminaries 5-3 to secure themselves a top 4 spot with losses in Japan (1-9), China (2-6), and Chinese Taipei (0-5).
● Blu Girls seek foreign exposure for World Cup Blu Girls captain and starting pitcher Ann Antolihao stressed the importance of international exposure as the team prepares for the World cup scheduled for July 22-26 in Italy. The Blu Girls qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 2018 after
finishing fourth. The Women’s Softball Asian Cup at Songdo LNG Stadium in Incheon, South Korea, on April 8 2023. The Philippines are 5-3, they beat Hong Kong (7-0), South Korea (2-0), Singapore (8-1), Thailand (10-0), and India (10-0), and lost to Japan (9-1), China (6-2) and Chinese Taipei (5-0). Japan topped the list with a clean sheet (8- 0). China is second (7-1) and Chinese Taipei is third (6-2). South Korea ranked fifth (4- 4), followed by Hong Kong (3-5), Singapore (2-6), Thailand (1-7) and India (0-8).
While they have been ranked No.4 in Asia, the Blu Girls might be dealing with a difficult task from Japan, Canada, Venezuela, New Zealand and Italy within the World Cup. “That's why we want extra overseas exposure. Our coaches realize that is what we lack,” Antolihao stated throughout the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex on Tuesday. Also, Antolihao said that “were glad that we have been capable of go back to the World Cup, who became joined through teammates CJ Roa (pitcher) and Celine Ojare (catcher) in the weekly session presented by San Miguel Corporation, Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, MILO and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
The top two teams in the World Cup will be seeded in next year’s edition. Roa said a training camp in Japan would be ideal. “A high-level training in Japan, even tune-up games with university schools, if given a chance, hopefully in Japan,” she said, adding “skills wise, we have that here but we don't have enough exposure.” The Blu Girls are home grown talent, with players from Bacolod, Makati, and Bukidnon and Batanes provinces. Meanwhile, Antolihao said the coaches will decide who will be included in the final World Cup squad. The team will resume training on April 24 2023.
Under the guidance of coaches Ray Pagkaliwagan, Randy Dizer and Anthony Santos, and with the support of Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) President Jean Henri Lhuillier, the Blu Girls made it to the World Cup. Congratulations Blu Girls Philippines for making it to the bronze medal game in the 2023 Women’s Softball Asia Cup. Your dedication and hard work have paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of your accomplishment. As a student communicator I am optimistic and
excited to see what the future holds for Philippine softball. Keep up the excellent work and continue to inspire others including me with your passion for the game.

GENERAL TRAVEL INFORMATION
Do you have any travel plans to South Korea? Good! Here are all the practical travel advice for Korea you'll need to have an enjoyable and memorable trip.
Planning a vacation to Korea? Here are some useful tips
Finance/Local Currency
The Korean WON, or KRW, is the country's official currency. 1400 KRW is equal to 1 USD.
The majority of the time, you won't need cash since, unlike other countries in Europe, stores and restaurants accept card payments of any amount.
Local dialect
Korean is the language spoken there.
The majority of tourist destinations will have information in English, although as you go outside of Seoul, this gets a little less common.
English is typically understood but not spoken by most people. But you'll be able to move around with ease.
Best time to visit Korea depends on the weather Summer, autumn, winter, and spring are the four different seasons of Korea.
Following is a general breakdown of the seasons by month:
One of the finest seasons to visit Korea is in the spring, from March to May, when the weather is moderate, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and there is a lot going on. Read the whole travel guide to Seoul in spring!
Summer, which lasts from June through August, is hot and muggy, but the days are longer.
Autumn: September to November is the finest season to go because of the breathtaking scenery, great weather, and lack of pollution and excessive rain.
Winter: From December through February, temperatures decrease fast, making it more comfortable to stay inside. There is snow in Korea, and skiing is possible in mountain resorts. Read the whole article on traveling to Korea in the winter.
Visa (K-ETA) (K-ETA)
You may or might not need a visa, depending on where you are from. Check here for the Visa requirements!
You must apply for a visa in advance of your travel to South Korea since there is now an online application procedure for select qualifying countries (you can check the list here).
Before boarding a rail or airplane, a K-ETA, or Korea Electronic Travel Authorization, must be granted. Here are some helpful details about the K-ETA visa:
It is important to apply in advance since the approval procedure takes longer than 72 hours; The address is one of the necessary pieces of information, thus you must reserve lodging before submitting a K-ETA application. The K-ETA visa is valid for two years after the date of approval; You may remain in Korea for 30 to 90 days with K-ETA; However, you will need to return and amend your visa with the new hotel location if you are traveling for tourism and want to return after your first stay; a single person may register and pay for up to 30 individuals simultaneously; Price of K-ETA: 10,000 won (about 9-10 USD)
Go to Korea
You'll probably need a cover in Turkey or Dubai/Doha if you're coming from Europe. Some of the most significant cities have direct flights to Seoul if you're coming from the United States.
To find the best flight choices and costs, use Skyscanner.
Although Seoul has two airports, Incheon Foreign Airport handles the majority of international arrivals and departures. Read the detailed directions for getting from Incheon Airport to Seoul!
Gimpo Airport serves as the landing and departure point for domestic as well as certain international flights (such as those to Japan).

here’s a really comprehensive overview of how things shook down in the c-fandom by reddit user u/visible-following-50 (as of 11pm CDT 8/24/2021)
I wanna provide some C-ent perspective on this:
Overall all accusations concentrate in the period between August 2019 - February 2020
PART 1: Monday 23th 10-11pm The scandal first erupt on Twitter but reached Weibo around 10pm. There were instantly 10+ gossip accounts who were sharing the screenshots with no translation, fresh from Twitter. It took a bit for users on Douban to translate them and reshare them on Weibo. The gossip accounts definitely got tipped off, since they posted about it all at the same time.
Fans tried to look for proof the pictures, the screenshots, the audio and the timeline were fake. Apart from some small fans, most of his big fans asked Lumis to not share unverified debunks... they had previous experience sharing things too early only to find themselves ridiculed, so they pretty much just spend the whole night looking for harder proofs and keeping his trending topic on the entertainment list and not the main one. I am PERSONALLY quite confident, the company knew already what was going at that point. His trending topic never reached the main board... it was the #1 on the ent board for the whole night... people are guessing it was company’s doing...
As for the debunking proofs. I can confidently say, none of the proofs given and shared by small fans were solid proofs. That’s why his big accounts in China never started to share massively those posts. Twitter instead was more vocal in believing them.
1/ Pictures: the finger one is the fishiest one. It looks extremely not like his finger. But the three selfies, no fans managed to find where they come from. The only possible guess they come from leaked Kakaotalk. 2/ Audio: the fans found one part of the audio coming possibly from Bubble, but there’s a slight change in tone and the second part of the audio still is missing from Bubble. People use it as a debunking proof, but we can’t say for sure 3/ Timeline: the alleged nights they spent together did in fact coincide with the nights Lucas was in Seoul, just a very packed agenda. Like August 28th, he just landed in Incheon from Dubai at 5-6pm and supposedly spent the night with her right after. September 9th, he took a flight from Shanghai to Seoul, landed, spent the night with her, the day after directly took a flight to Dallas for SuperM concert. Technically all possible, also technically could be fabricated to match his schedule perfectly as second half of 2019 Lucas schedule was known to everybody due to SuperM and the amount of flights info. Beginning of December he was in China despite her claims. That is the only part we can be 100% it’s not true, since we have receipts of Lucas being in Beijing doing fanmeetings.
As for the gaslighting, asking for money and being rude to her, we have no proof whatsoever, since all the Wechat shared just show Lucas saying I love u and trying to meet up with her.
At this point, 99% of his fandom in China still believed in him and many spent the night not sleeping, to clear his searches, battle with antis and so on. His group mates akgaes also spent the night shitting on him.
PART 2: Tuesday 6pm The whole day went by with Lumis still clearing his searches, with anti inventing new rumors (they shared a dick pick of him quickly proven to be fake) which had Lumis and different members akgaes fight, but nothing big in comparison. After Jalapeño teaser dropped people were excited and we received also info Lucas and Ten have booked flights for China on Sept 10th. Then at 6pm a new girl came out, again, the news instantly shared by 10+ gossip accounts on Weibo, spreading the visibility.
The second girl is a Chinese girl claiming to have been contacted by him after a fansign (she provided receipts of her fansign participation) and supposedly met up in ShengYang. The girl had no pictures just a bunch of screenshots. She claimed they had sex with no protection and him lying saying he hasn’t had sex in a year and similar stuff.
Overall by this time, most of fans still didn’t believe her since she provided no pics and all the Wechat conversation were seen as not strong proofs (they can be easily photoshopped)
PART 3: Wednesday 8pm The third girl posted on her weibo account (with no personal info), the final blow. With pictures.
She supposedly got his contact by sending him a message via airdrop once she found him on Bluetooth during an offline event. They quickly added each other. They “dated” or more correctly they FWB for a period where she asked multiple times whether he was single, but supposedly the timing overlapped with the two previous girls, hence why the third girl decided to expose him, cause she felt cheated.
She accused him of cheating, badmouthing his members (they don’t work enough, one of them stole one of his fashion gig), not liking Keep Running (too much pressure from seniors).
Keep in mind none of the above accusations are found in her shared screenshots, as she said these are part of their conversation while drinking.
She provided 3 pictures: one of him sleeping (which many fans suspect to be a picture of him sleeping on WayV dorm due to matching sofa and Bella’s toy) and two pictures of him with drinks and sigarettes (the fishy part is that his hairstyle doesn’t look like his hairstyle in end of 2019. Edit: it could have been Moonwalk period hair.). While girl #1 selfies could have been Kakaotalk profile pics, these pictures look 1/ not photoshopped 2/ taken without him knowing.
At this point, Lucas big fan accounts broke down... this girl pictures were the final blow. While some fans still finds them fishy and claim it could have been staff selling their pics (which allegedly happened before between staff and sasaeng), after 24 hours of radio silence and continuous rumors, no sleep and constant fighting, his fancafe and his most high profile fans gave up and believed the accusations. Please note his solo stans only believe that he did sleep around, no mentions of badmouthing or his personality.
Lucas’ image among Chinese fans is definitely purer than what Ifans think of him. If Ifans think him being sexually active is nothing strange, for C-fans him sleeping and especially with fans, multiple at once, was too much to handle. Also many felt like at this point, regardless of whether he’s able to disprove the accusations, his image in China is ruined forever. SM not saying anything was too much to handle.
PART 4: Tuesday 10pm onwards.
With the fancafe leaving and many big fans leaving, the rest of Lumis saw this as a sign these big fans knew more than them, had some sort of proof from SM that the allegations were true. Rumors spread like fire among fandom and many fans quit due to fancafe quitting.
Fancafe quitting trended at #3 on Weibo main board, that single Weibo post had over half a million likes.
The rest of the night, Lucas trended with various hashtag, all on main board, between 3 to 15 in terms of positions. The same day a TV presenter was ousted for r*pe.
One of WayV most famous sasaeng shared on Weibo that Lucas does have an habit of flirting back when you send him something via airdrop. This sort of backed the possibility of the third girl story of how she met Lucas.
The rest of the night we still had some small rumors spreading of people saying that he does flirt with fans, he does look like a fuck boy, he was already a player before debut and so on. To be honest, I wouldn’t care about these since they all sound like people jumping on him.
Some WayV and almost all solo fans of the other members started to ask for his removal from the group. Many believe the accusations (since again, after 24 hours no solid debunking has been offered) while some others in any case think his career is done and his image will only tarnish the group.
As you can see, all of this play out very quickly. A bit over 24 hours and we are yet to see any response from SM.
Currently the remaining Chinese Lumis (a new fancafe opened to substitute the old one) are mostly just waiting for some confirmation or debunking from Lucas or the company itself. On Weibo they just basically gave up on digging for more proof themselves (apart form some small individual fans)

A Deep Dive Into The Lucas Situation + What His Fans Don't Want You To Know
this entire post was written in an unbiased, neutral, journalistic standpoint and does not reflect my personal opinions on the situation.
Warning: extremely long post ahead.
Tumblr media
What Happened Regarding WayV's Lucas
Over the past few days, Lucas has been accused of cheating, manipulation, pressuring a fan to have unprotected sex with him, and gaslighting by multiple girls.
The first to come forward was a Korean fan (op 1) on twitter and then 2 Chinese fans on weibo (op 2 and op 3). Yesterday, a 4th Chinese fan (op 4) came forward on weibo.
Op 1’s statement / translation cr: twitter

What Is Happening On Weibo
cr: this reddit comment
Monday 230821 the news broke out on twitter first before erupting on weibo around 10pm. 10+ gossip accounts posted screenshots on twitter with no translation and it took a bit of users on Douban to translate before they were reshared on weibo. All gossip accounts posted it at the same time.
Fans tried to look for proof that it was fake. Apart from some small fans, big fans asked Lumis to not share unverified debunks. They spent the entire night looking for proof and kept this a trending topic on the entertainment list and not the main one.
None of the proof made by small fans were solid which is why big fan accounts asked them not to share it. Twitter, however, was more vocal in believing them.
People have been saying that Twitter stans faked proof to debunk the claims. An example is people saying Op 1 deleted and said they lied because they’re a Lucas anti. This is completely false. They never said that and the account is still up.
i-fans fake proof to debunk op’s statements

edit: another thread debunking i-fans proof
Op 1’s evidence
Pictures: the finger one is the most sus because it doesn’t look like his finger. The 3 selfies, however, no fan was able to find where they came from. The only possible guess was that they were leaked from kakaotalk.
Audio: fans found that part of the audio could possibly be from bubble. However, there’s a slight change in tone and the second half of the audio is missing from bubble. (later it was pointed out that the audio message from op’s evidence is from before February 2020 which is when bubble opened).
Timeline: the alleged nights Op spent with Lucas did in fact coincide with the nights Lucas was in Seoul, just a very packed schedule.

She accused him of cheating, badmouthing his members (they don’t work enough, one of them stole one of his fashion gig), not liking Keep Running (too much pressure from seniors).
Keep in mind that none of the above accusations are found in her shared screenshots as she said these are part of their conversations while drinking.
Op 3 provided 3 pictures: one of him sleeping (which many fans suspect to be a picture of him sleeping at the WayV dorm due to a matching sofa and what looks like Bella’s toy. however this was 'disproven' in one of the threads i linked above) and two pictures of him with drinks and cigarettes. His hairstyle in the last two pictures seemed fishy because it didn’t look like his hair at the end of 2019, however, it could have been his Moonwalk era hair.
While Op 1’s selcas could have been kakaotalk profile pics, Op 3’s pictures look 1) not photoshopped and 2) taken without him knowing.
At this point, Lucas’ big fan accounts broke down. Op 3’s pictures were the final blow.
Some fans still found the photos fishy and claimed it could have been the WayV staff selling their pics, which allegedly has happened before between staff and sasaengs, after 24 hours of radio silence and continuous rumors, his fancafe and most high profile fans gave up and believed the accusations. (I’ll explain why this is a big deal later)
A fancafe opened to replace the old one, however it is small and most are only sticking around to see this issue to the end.
Please note that his solo stans only believe that he did sleep around, no mentions of bad mouthing or his personality.
Lucas’ image among Chinese fans is definitely purer than what i-fans think of him. If i-fans think him being sexually active is nothing strange, for C-fans him sleeping and especially with fans, multiple at once, was too much to handle. Also many felt like at this point, regardless of whether he’s able to disprove the accusations, his image in China is ruined forever. SM not saying anything was too much to handle.
Tumblr media
Tuesday 10pm onwards with his fancafe leaving and many big fans following, the rest of Lumis saw this as a sign that these big fans knew more than them and had some sort of proof from SM that the allegations were true. Rumors spread like fire among the fandom and may fans quit due to the fancafe quitting.
Fancafe quitting trended #3 on the Weibo main board. That single post had over half a million likes.
The rest of the night, Lucas trended with various hashtag, all on the main board, between 3 to 15 in terms of positions. The same day a TV presenter was ousted for r*pe.
One of WayV most famous sasaeng shared on Weibo that Lucas does have a habit of flirting back when you send him something via airdrop. This sort of backed the possibility of the third girl story of how she met Lucas.
The rest of the night we still had some small rumors spreading of people saying that he does flirt with fans, he does look like a fuck boy, he was already a player before debut and so on. However, this could just be people jumping on him.
Some WayV and almost all solo fans of the other members started to ask for his removal from the group. Many believe the accusations (since again, after 24 hours no solid debunking has been offered) while some others in any case think his career is done and his image will only tarnish the group.
Tumblr media
250821 SM and Lucas’ response was finally shared. The apology was very SM. A letter acknowledging mistakes while being vague about what mistakes and mismanagement. Most fans took this as an admission that something is true, but no clue which accusations. It’s mostly seen as PR tactic to quiet things down and show the artist and the company attitude towards the scandal. All schedules were canceled for him and will go on hiatus for an undisclosed amount of time.
Lucas was unofficially dropped by Keep Running and the show is looking for a substitute and his brands have all hidden posts with him. This is a normal tactic by brands in case of uncertainty, but to save themselves backlash.
Op 1 came out with a second statement adding details about their relationship. The tone sounds like a scorned woman (she just found out about the others, felt cheated). She defines their period from July 2019 to Feb 2021. On and off relationship, trying to be friends but she felt used for sex. She added lots of details about him, of which we have no receipts but her own words.
He’s depicted as someone who would lose his virginity in a massage parlor in China, fight against gangsters to protect his bullied friend, criticizing tall women's bodies because they don’t look feminine and much much more. You can take a look at the translation above. This is her last post.
Fans shared that supposedly, among the oldest group of Lumis and fansites, they have identified her as a fellow fansite with sasaeng behaviour called DirectKill (keep in mind, no receipt, just seen as truth by most lumis after matching schedules, stories). She was previously attacked in 2019 by Lumis for her sasaeng behaviour (getting super close to him, following his flights, making a fuss on the plane), but now Lumis are seeing from another perspective. Her as a proud GF who wanted to flirt with his boy in front of everyone. It also made sense given the girl's social economic background (used to be a JK sasaeng who can afford gifting Rolex). It didn’t help that the girl also sold fanmerch to other fans and fans felt betrayed by him but also disgusted by her.
Fan’s reactions didn’t change much after this. Those who already believed that he was a scumbag, kept believing it. Those who believed it’s all fake, continued to believe it was fake. However, it did change the perception of those who were still on the fence as it added a lot of detail about his character. Keep in mind that there were tons of other rumors coming out, not from girls, but random sources (fake porn video, his family being poor and how he’s an ungrateful son because he spends money on himself and not his family, SM pushing him at the expense of other members, having a gay lover, etc).
Many of those rumors were deleted after, but kept being shared privately. International fans also started to turn against him.
Fourth Girl accusation On Friday/Saturday, a water sports coach (using her personal account, with pictures of her normal life) sent a post defending Lucas personality describing him positively, as she was his instructor during the Hainan trip he had with WinWin. A fourth girl came out to say that Lucas was flirting with her while flirting with that coach (the coach denies it). She also attached some WeChat screenshots to prove that they know each other. The text per se contains mostly just flirty conversation and very random inspirational speeches.
The fourth girl is angry and wants him out of the group. She went on saying that he wanted to gift her a cat (there was a paparazzi taken video of Lucas and his manager buying a white cat) but she refused and now the cat is managed by WinWin in Beijing. She also claimed he sent her yesterday (hence, after the apology) a message saying she was his favourite (keep in mind, no receipt, just her answering in a comment). She claims that there must be more girls out there and many just don’t want the attention, but she came out when she saw the Coach post and realized he was flirting back to back with both of them (further denied by the coach).
In the end, currently, none of the statements by all 4 op’s have actually been fully debunked.
Extra: This reddit user is a native cantonese speaker and explained why they believe the screenshots of Lucas’ messages are real. I highly recommend reading as it’s very interesting.

Why His FanCafe/CBar Closing Is A Big Deal
Chinese fan bases usually have insider information that international fans do not have because they’re connected to the staff/company. This is why a lot (not all, but a lot) of Weibo rumors about idols tend to be true. (example: when jessica left snsd there were weibo rumors about it before her departure was officially announced).
C-Fanbases usually stick with their idol through anything. I think even Kris Wu’s fan base defended him until he was detained.
K-Fans and V-Fans also usually have more info and know more about the idols.
C-Fans, K-Fans, and V-Fans are all against Lucas and his cbar closed down almost immediately. Why is that?
(A translated post on twitter on what an ex-Lumis said about Lucas) (believe it if you want to believe it as we don’t know if the translation is accurate and if op is telling the truth or not)
edit: tweet translating weibo post about LucasBar's poor inner management. (believe it if you wanna believe it as we don't know if weibo op is telling the truth and if twt user translated it correctly). + update

Understanding C-Ent
First, the Cpop industry’s attitude towards celebrities with bad moral character usually end up getting blacklisted. His domestic fanbase has already left and weibo/domestic opinion is against him.
Second, lots of “scandals” are coming out in China lately. The government is looking into punishing excessive hatred online and fanwars. Lots of accounts will either be purged or lay low due to this.
There is the Hong Kong issue happening right now and him being from Hong Kong could have played a factor in his takedown as well. The CCP is “cleansing” it’s entertainment industry right now and investigating the loyalties of TW/HK entertainers.
Third, this twitter user explained how C-Ent works.
If you don’t wanna read the whole thread, even though I highly recommend it, they basically say that it’s possible that both Lucas could have done stupid/bad things and WayV/SM’s competitors could’ve deliberately dug this up and paid involved parties to expose this as a form of sabotage.
In C-Ent, if you are competition, your closest skeletons will be revealed and your fandom’s defense will be further criticized.
As a public figure in C-Ent, there’s almost zero tolerance for skeletons or dirt. It doesn’t matter how young you were/are. It’s all about the public’s perception of you. It’s about your marketability and it’s about your backers. SM artist will never have powerful Chinese backers that can protect them from having their dirt dug up and exposed as a market competition in C-Ent.
SM does not know how C-Ent works and this shows it.
edit: I’m not sure what to title this tweet, but the same user I linked in point 3 made another thread about how wanting Lucas out because he’ll be blacklisted and that’ll impact WayV is kinda ??? It talks about the CCP and stuff.

What Will Happen To WayV & Lucas?
cr: a few reddit comments
Lucas was casted on Keep Running because he was spotted during Knowing Bros and got recommended by SK producers. Him being on Keep Running was the link between WayV and China.
When WayV first arrived in China, they were partnered up with Youku (of Alibaba, who also bought SM shares) hence they had ‘Dream Plan’ as a show. Youku, however, had a bit of a struggle and overall they too had their own idol group to promote and it seems like their relationship just died down over time.
Keep Running had Lucas auditioning in early 2019 due being recommended by the Korean production team after seeing him on Knowing Bros (both him and Yuqi). In the end, they signed a contract packing Keep Running and some other shows (the year end show and some one episode cameo). The first season went well and Lucas was kept on the show despite him not being present in 2020. Zhejiang TV really liked him. His 2021 performance further proved the director and the staff he was the right choice.
Lucas’ popularity and as a consequence his brand deals, all come from the exposure on Keep Running. Kick Back was heavily promoted by Keep Running.
Label V failed to find another partner like Zhejiang TV. They tried with WinWin in 2019 on a Mango TV variety show, but that show was brand new unlike Keep Running and failed to take off thus was canceled after one season halting further discussions with the TV station.
This led to the situation in 2021 when you see this imbalance and over dependence on Lucas’ Keep Running gig.
Basically, Lucas’ Keep Running gig served as the only platform WayV had in China.
However, Lucas staying in the group would lead to quite a few problems.
With Lucas’ losing his fanbase and his skeletons being out, it would drag down the group as a whole. WayV has barely established themselves in China.
Lucas is the most well known member after Ten and WinWin. However, after these accusations, he is left with an unlikeable impression on the general public. This can cost the group’s reputation big time. Remember, WayV’s main target is China and this situation will affect the Chinese fandom way more than the Korean or international fandom.
The only way for WayV to survive in China is by having him say goodbye.
This also puts a ‘what will happen’ on the rumors about a new WayV album and how the members were set to head back to China as well as NCT 2021.
If Lucas didn’t sleep with the girls, the joggling between 3 girls during the period in different countries is enough to crush his career in China. It’s doubtful he’d be able to come back as an idol in China even if he apologized. It’s generally accepted that male idols cannot date or sleep around unless they reach Luhan (former exo member) level of success. Lucas’ fandom is not big enough and can’t survive with his remaining fans plus it’d be hard to attract new fans with this image.
WayV will not stand a chance if SM decides to stand by Lucas. Fans might probably only be satisfied if he's left on permanent hiatus like Super Junior’s former member Kangin or his permanent departure from the group.
Lucas is very famous internationally and SM is known for not kicking idols out (look at Super Junior for example). It’s possible for the company to put him on hiatus or keep him in NCT and just take him out of WayV. They could use him in the future for other audiences. However, their main target is Asia and Korea and China hate Lucas right now. He lost his fans there so it's difficult to say what would happen if they kept him.
(side note: China remembers these things for a very long time so they won’t let go of this issue).

Rumors
(I can’t find the post again) There is a rumor on weibo by someone who is known to be an ‘insider’ and often says things about SM that usually end up being true. They stated that the company is in the talks to kick him out.
There is another rumor that WayV’s comeback in September and NCT 2021 have all halted for now. Lucas’ schedules stopped for half a year, and he might leave WayV. (see here)
Take all rumors with a grain of salt.
Currently, things are not dying down in China and other members are slowly being caught up in the controversy.
A post on weibo claims that Lucas demanded his fans to say mean things about the other WayV members on Lysn.
There are sasaeng rumors spreading about how there was a fight in the WayV dorm and a shoe was thrown out the window. A fan claimed Hendery had a long bruise on the bottom of his neck at the press conference, however on the pictures they attached you couldn’t quite see a bruise. YangYang and Hendery have changed their bubble picture from a group photo to a photo of themself. (remember: these are sasaeng rumors, so take them with a grain of salt and believe what you want to believe).
edit: an anon told me that the yy rumor of spreading hate is fake. it came from yy fanpicks twitter (who changed to multiple usernames) and was known for a lot of anti shit including other group members. seconds after it was posted, people yelled at them for starting fake stuff and the post was taken down and the account deactivated.
As for Hendery, it could have been allergies as he was seen scratching the area during the press conference.
Some old VLives are being overanalyzed to show that members, like Ten, knew what was going on and it’s catching heat. Lucas fans allegedly got caught faking stories of WinWin and it’s causing a lot of hate. People are also digging up on Lucas’ family. (His brother allegedly shows pro-HK sentiments and that would end him over there).
(i can't add another picture lmao so pretend the red divider is here)
This is all I have so far on Lucas’ situation. If more things happen, I might make another post. If you read this entire thing, I applaud you. This was 9 pages on google docs.
Thank you for reading and please remember I am not trying to spread hate or anything. I’m just trying to provide insight on what’s going on. This post does not include my personal opinions on what’s going on.
Most of this information came from reddit. The entire thread is filled with mature conversations and level headed, open minded people. The comments I used for this post were not opinion pieces, but comments giving insight on China/C-Ent that we might not be aware of.
Replies are turned off because this is a side blog. If you have anything to say, please do it respectfully in the reblogs or my ask box.
Thank you for reading.
