I’m nervous because this is my first time doing a request, but I love your haikyuu dad series and I would like to ask if could you please write some angst about fem!reader having a miscarriage and then breaking up with character because the were in pain for their lost and relationship wasn’t working after that (doesn’t matter who was the one that decides to break up) and then two years later after not seeing each other she finds out that he’s a single father/ or married and then ending up together or as friends (in the case of him being a single father) I was thinking that for character it could be Atsumu or Osamu, Sakusa and Akashi (but you can pick any other characters that you feel more comfortable with if you wish)

Atsumu

When you’d met Atsumu it felt perfect, unfortunately a year later that came crashing back down onto the two of you.

You struggled with getting pregnant and it hurt, why couldn’t you do this? Than finally you’d been able to concive after why felt like forever a big wave of relief rushed over the two of you.

Unfortunately that happiness didn’t last for long, you’d lost the baby. Neither of you took it well, you had already planned out a nursery and ordered a few baby things and every time you saw them you wanted to break down, it wasn’t fair. What did you do wrong? You’d tried for so long, done nothing wrong, yet you still weren’t able to have your little baby, it wasn’t fair.

At some point it got to where you two didn’t really talk anymore, you were both grieving and it led to your breakup.

You felt it was best but looking back almost a year later it wasn’t. You see Atsumu sat in a cafe two tiny car seats placed in little high chairs in front of him.

He looks like he’d fit perfectly in a family, it looks like where he belongs and you weren’t able to provide that.

You see Atsumu’s eyes dart around the building, when he spots you it’s obvious, he gives you a soft smile, one after a year of healing you’re able to reciprocate it still deep down hurts, it’s a feeling you never want to experience again.

Before you know it you’re sat beside Atsumu listening to how he rattles on about his twins. You look over at the two little babies to see two sleeping babies, a boy and a girl, they look like they’re his whole world, and you wish you could have provided that.

“I assume you’re happy with your wife now” you’ve got a soft smile contradictory to the words that fall from your lips.

His brows furrow, “…y/n they’re from a one night stand…” you don’t know if that makes you feel better or worse.

Had he really not moved on?

He hadn’t Atsumu felt like shit after that one night stand, it felt wrong and he wanted to undo it immediately but now that he has his precious babies he wouldn’t un do it for the world and he’s just hoping he can get you back as well.

Osamu

It hurt, it felt like everything was resulting in an argument lately. Both of you were easily agitated after you’d lost the baby. It hurt both of you and you couldn’t grasp why it was happening and it just felt like you were running in circles constantly chasing the word why but always being just steps behind from understanding.

It resulted in a breakup. It hurt, you won’t lie.

You aren’t sure what compelled you to go into Onigiri miya, maybe it was the fact that you wanted to feel comforted after so much time maybe it was the fact that you weren’t really paying attention as you walked here, maybe it was everything built up onto each other.

When you walk into Onigiri miya you almost forget it’s been so long, long enough for him to have a set of three year old little girls sat on the cabinet, they look just like him when he was little and you can’t help but want to live on them.

You see Osamu’s bright smile when he looks at you face a bit, you look rough. You’re a wreck without him, you practically live in the food provided by your office cause you never really learned how to cook and you’ve got eye bags because Osamu was always the one to stop you from overworking yourself but now you throw yourself into work to hide from the grief of not only loosing your baby but your soulmate, maybe that’s why you’re so eager to go on that date Osamu offers after you learn he’s a single dad.

Sakusa

Neither of you handled it very well. It was an all around negative experience there was no growth from it, it left you as completely different people and it never really got easier you just got used to it and learned how to function while having all these emotions but the pain never lessened.

And eventually you both decided it was best to take a break. Of course when it resumed your ex-fiancé had the most precious little girl by his side.

She was only a month old, if that and she’d been the product of a one night stand.

Sakusa had always wanted a family, you couldn’t help but feel jealous of the woman who was able to provide him with one. She was able to have the most precious little girl and she didn’t even want her. Of course when Sakusa brought up the fact that he was now a single father, he feared that the love of his life would leave him now because of his daughter, but of course if that would have been your decision he wasn’t going to chose you over his baby.

And you don’t regret your decision to stay with Sakusa anyways, not when your first daughter sits in between you and your husband, you smile softly as your husband eases your baby into her arms she’s got the most precious look of wonder as she stares down at the little girl.

Akaashi

When it happened he felt the way your relationship began to be ripped apart. He initiated the breakup asking for a break to grieve.

That’s what happened, you both decided for the best to take a break. And a few career changes and years later you’ve met again.

You periodically kept in touch just about the holidays no major things.

You worked at a little daycare now so when you see him drop off the cutest little boy who nervously holds onto Akaashi’s hand you can’t help but let out a little awe.

It was what you wanted to have with him, what you prayed for every night that wouldn’t come no matter how hard you tried.

The sparks where still present with Keiji, almost everyday he’d come in to pick up his little boy and he’d make you giggle softly like you did in highschool and before you know it, he was asking if you’d give your relationship a go again.

THE BATTLE OF THE GARBAGE DUMP THE MATCH THAT YOU ARE 🧡🐈‍⬛🐦‍⬛❤️

Went in without re-reading so it was almost like a fresh experience and OH MY GODS it was amazing.

Firstly, the animation was slick. Like you could feel the weight of each spike, the impact of each receive, and the fluidity of the team movements. Also the camera-work was insane. Especially near the end where it was Kenma's pov — the speed and blur, then the cut to summer, and back again to that final set — *chef's kiss*. And they still did the Haikyuu!! comedy animation which made me happy 😆

Finally hearing the OST within the movie was so good! Getting to see where each OST played was so much fun — they truly never miss🙌

The sound design overall was crazy. Really elevated the whole thing — gave me chills the entire time😍

Gonna make another post I think about the panels & pages I screenshotted the first time I read it that changed a bit or were cut, but the movie did so much in such a short time!!👏

Just seeing them play and interact with each other was everything — the tears❤️😭 (and then the lead in to the Kamomedai match!! 😱)

Oh! Okay I’m really glad and that’s a huge relief too. Oh ho ho ho I’m sure that NNN challenger idea is gonna be great I look forward to it! 😌 AHHHHH I also can’t wait for Bachira to be added into the series. But with this I’m always so excited for upcoming events and meeting new characters in the show. And especially with Blue Lock, cause like I’m a sports anime lover and the concept of Blue Lock is so different and new and it was so hyped up that I knew I had to try it. But like Blue Lock just came in and swept me away. So like I’m really excited to see what happens in next weeks episode. As for me; the moment I saw Aiku... I was like 'you have my attention.' But I knew something wasn't right cause I knew that this looked a little too good. Then i find out that he is a womanizer. ALRIGHT SO NO SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE RN

The movie should've been a whole season fr BUT it was still amazing.

I LOVED IT AHHHHHH I WANT TO WATCH IT AGAIN

The animation doesn't disappoint and god I swear it felt like only an episode, it went by so fast 😭 it was kinda rushed though but that's what I expected. Still, I was at the edge of my seats many times, the rallies were so good it felt like a real match. And ngl I got emotional at the end LMAO I felt the tears and I was wearing makeup so it got ruined but whatever, it was worth it.

I do wish it was more emotional, I mean I know we joke a lot about the monologues and the amount of flashbacks there are but I kind of missed them lol. Idk, the movie should've taken it easy and relax sometimes, gives us time to at least feel Hinata's and Kenma's feelings (especially Hinata's, he's the mc after all), but that's honestly my only complaint, and even so, I seriously enjoyed it. Hopefully the next movie lasts longer

It was sad the there weren't any freebies, or cardboards or posters though :(

The rallies were amazing. Those in which the ball went from one side of court to the other non-stop??? Like, Nekoma was amazing with their saves and so was Karasuno.

And the Kenma and Kuroo flashbacks 😭😭😭 I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I wish I have a childhood friendship like them.

AND BOKUTO MY BOY He was amazing like always, cheering on Hinata and Tsuki. It was funny to see Bokuto, Tsuki and Kuroo "together" again, really missed their friendship/rivalry. AND THAT SCENE WHEN BOKUTO AND KUROO CHANGED THEIR HAIRSTYLES HAHAHBAHAHAHAH I LOVE THEM SM.

THE TSUKI AND YAMAGUCHI SCENE AAAAHHHHHHH YES YAMAGUCHI YOU GOT THIS‼️‼️‼️ Me and Tsuki are his cheer squad.

I wanted to hug Hinata so bad when Nekoma was going against him and were trying to stop his crazy jumps. He looked so frustrated and tired. That set from Kageyama mirrored the "take it easy" recieve from season 4 and it was what Hinata needed. A high set that gives you time to breathe, time to relax, time to think. And his "bam" jump was INCREDIBLE, and the way his eyes sparkled when he saw the set???? Ugh I love him so much. Loved all the Hinata and Kageyama scenes, their banter is always fun to see.

AND THE KENMA POV HOLY SHIT PLS MAKE MORE OF THOSE. That whole sequence had me at the edge of my sit, the way you could see Lev (or I think it was him? Idk) blocking, how Kenma clashed with him, then running after the ball, the receives, the other players, IT WAS BREATHETAKING I need one of these scenes but from Hinata's or Kageyama's pov. Both if possible 🙏🙏🙏

The way Kenma and Hinata were like "I don't want this to end" I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END EITHER THAT MOVIE SHOULD'VE BEEN ETERNAL.

THE POST CREDIT SCENE ‼️‼️‼️ HOSHIUMI IS HERE EVERYONE AAAAAAA AND THAT ALSO MEANS MY BOY SACHIRO IS NEXT IM SO READY FOR THE KAMOMEDAI MATCH

10/10 movie I wish it was longer and I may be biased but I don't care, I had a blast watching it.

haikyuu thoo i've admitted multiple times that to me shoyo was the dummiest most bullyable (but still kind of cute v_v) little boy ever during s1-s3 and i just know if he was in my class i would've given him the 🙄😒 treatment at first. like i really would've. then i watched s4 and the trajectory of my life was irreversibly changed. shoyo is the love of my life. and omgg michi isn't particularly unique in the way that he is still weak and pathetic and then suddenly got this power and then set out to change the world or whatever — but god he's so special to me. wakui did an amazing job of writing all his characters and it's hard not to adore anyone in tr. actually, maybe i'm biased towards tr HAHA but point is i'm a hardcore takemichi stan.

if isagi was a bit flashier or remarkable design wise he'd really be SO GOOD. ++ omg i really love both karasu and otoya they're so... so osamu & suna to me if ykwim 😭 and kurona is such a little baby to me he is so small and tiny.

AND YES!!! kunigami and chigiri having the princess/knight dynamic ft. a twist™ is so delicious i'm eating it up ‼️ and waah reo is my wife<33 my babygirl if you will<33

honestly i just got into hxh and . came across ur blog (this post specifically) & i have so much to say regarding illumi / his character (im sorry you're gonna have to listen 😭🤞) anyways onto why i hate this man:

it's so bad kinning him. like so so bad. i've noticed a repetition in which i aggressively relate to characters in animes who were shitty siblings or have shitty relationships w their siblings (think shigaraki from bnha, tsukishima from haikyuu, kirishima from tokyo ghoul, etc.) and it's ridiculous bc the only way i'd ever have realized i lived in a very dangerous (abusive) environment was practically thru watching these characters in shows do the exact same or similar things i did to my own family. and what my family did to me. and what my parents families did to THEM. & i was in denial for literal Years over this and stopped watching anime for like. weeks afterward bc i just cld not face the idea that what my family did to me was horrible (still am in denial but we dont talk abt that.) its just so bad but its even worse w illumi because he's the eldest & we never actually get to SEE his suffering, we just see the end product (which is an almost puppet-like fucked up human being.)

& the part in ur post abt being unable to be truly mad despite them doing everything wrong and messing up ur childhood - i FELT that. like its insane how we (those who understand the zoldycks) all seem to have collective trauma over our families

But see I think I am personally unable to hate Illumi because, well, I feel so close to him. My kin feels for him are ridiculously high at this point. Like I fully aknowledge that Illumi is a horrible, vile, fucked up, despicable mess of a man and I will never ever defend his actions. He was so ruined by his families behavior and his own trauma he basically turned like them and passed that trauma on his own little brother (Killua), this is terrifying. This is so sad.

But Illumi neing a fucked up mess is also what makes me love him because I think despite everything profoundly bad he did in his life, I still feel sympathy for him.

I have that feeling I would have developped Illumi-like personality traits (extremely manipulative and controlling) if I haven't had so many amazing friends and if I turned out to be way, way, way less naturally kind.

When I say I kin Illumi because "I want to look like him", it obviously does not mean I want to be a massive asshole. What I love and envies in Illumi is probably his whole detached and emotionless behaviour, which I am like 100% sure he developped to cope with his trauma. And he's the eldest, while I am the youngest sibling and I have always hated being the youngest LMAO. Also hhhhh he pretty. Beautiful poor little meow meow.

I truly believe Togashi will end up telling us about Illumis childhood. Like Hisokas childhood I sincerely hope he will never share this with us because I just feel like it would be ruining the whole character, but Illumi? We have to see his childhood.

The day he decides to share this with us, I feel like I am going to have the biggest catharsis moment (tm) ever in my whole life.

it's a whole headache please and as the youngest sibling, you're always tasked to do this smh

and his bites aren't even bites please he eats the whole thing

his phone is always on full volume and he will not turn it down even when you tell him 🤦 he'll be on his phone full blast until you angirly tell him to

then he'll sulk about it for the whole day and you have to apologize

will ask you where you're going and what time you're coming home before you go out and when you ask him why he'll ramble on about how "as your older brother i should know where you're going because if anything happens to you i'm responisble..."

and you just give in and tell him to shut him up

is actually the absoulte sweetest !

so in touch with his emotions and will be there for you even through bad times

an absolute headache of a brother

leaves his things all over the house, "borrows" your things without asking, and showers for SO LONG

fills your water bottle for you every morning and personally hands it to you before you both leave so you won’t forget it

you may have caught him posing and flexing his muscles in front of the mirror once or twice

and you use that as leverage daily

once had to clean the couch but you wouldn’t move so he lifted the whole damn thing with you on it 😭

once caught you sneaking out at night and covered for you

but mygod he gave you a whole hour lecture about it when you got home

that being said he waited for you to get home even if it meant losing his precious sleep

and he always does this! making sure your safety is priority

bought you pepper spray and taught you basic self-defense moves when you’d start coming home later (i just know he’s amazing at self-defense)

cannot cook to save his life, will barge into your room to ask you to make him something from the kitchen

loves eating healthy so when you cook him instant ramen, he won't stop complaining and lecturing you about its sodium content

you had to learn how to make quick healthy snacks to get him to shut up

is always looking out for you!!

once skipped school and practice when you came down with a fever and he cooked you soup (it wasn't that bad) and monitored you the whole day

orders food in the middle of the night and always buys you something even though you don’t ask for it

will buy you those in-game purchases you were talking to him about like you'd just see it in your account one day

locks himself in his room most of the time so you have to drag him out for dinner or anything

lets you hang out in his room whenever you want as long as you don't distract him

sometimes you'd just come in his room to rant about your day while he's busy doing whatever

one time he was feeling pretty bored and asked you if you had anything fun to do

you suggested that you could bleach his hair and he just agreed

thus his current style was born, everyone (including your parents) were pretty surprised

kuroo LOVES you so much and you love him waaaaah

you’d text kuroo to get your brother out the house when he hasn’t seen sunlight in days and he’d immediately be ringing your doorbell

your parents keep telling you how little kenma prayed to have a younger sibling when he was younger !!

He’d be ecstatic, he’d always wanted to be a dad. Your precious daughter was the result of a drunk one night stand and you had met Suga only a few times from a friend before, you couldn’t really careless though, she was amazing and your favorite person always asking if she could draw pictures with you when you’d try and write things. The problem was really that you didn’t know how to contact him as said friend ended up breaking their friendship with him.

Unfortunately, Yui was starting school today, unfortunate for you not her. Yui was insanely excited to start school as she bounced on her feet asking if you guys could leave yet.

“Just a second honey, a few more things and let mommy get a photo please?” You tell her as you open up your camera app, you see her pose and you snap a few photos.

“Ok ready?” She nods happily.

When you walked into the building there he was, his eyes widen dramatically as he drops his gaze to the little girl who’d suddenly gone nervous at the idea of being left here.

“Suga?” You ask quietly and he nods, it’s evident that he knows Yui is his daughter, it wasn’t like she didn’t look like him, she had a similar mole near her eye, his eye and hair color, and a matching piece of hair that as much as you tried to flatten simply wouldn’t stay.

“So this is uhmmm” he motions toward Yui and you know what he’s trying to ask, you nod a bit.

“I tried to contact you but you know with everything…maybe we can talk about this after school” you suggest as he nods taking hold of Yui’s hand as be guides her to sit with the rest of the kids.

“I’d like that”

Daichi

It ended bitterly, you couldn’t grasp that his job wasn’t dangerous.

“Daichi, and what do I do if you piss someone off one day and they hurt you?”

“That’s not going to happen!” He yells right back and before you knew it it was over.

Too stupid of an argument to apologize for as the both of you had taken it too far.

But almost a whole year later, you’ve got two precious babies, a boy and a girl and they’re the lights of your life.

“Good morning my loves” you coo turning the lights on in their nursery as they smile and giggle bouncing in their cribs, “who wants to go to the park?” You ask as if they could understand.

It felt like you’d been in the house for days, besides the sun was good for them. So you loaded them up into the double stroller and buckled them in placing a few snacks on the tray to keep them occupied as they giggled and babbled.

You smiled softly letting your mind lead your legs to the park not even thinking twice to go down main street…coincidentally the same street Daichi directs traffic on…

So when his eyes widen at the sight of you you begin speed walking down the street as he calls after you buzzing on his walkie talkie for someone to take over his position.

By the time he’d reached you he was panting hands on his knees as you leaned over the stroller the babies cooing happily.

“Daichi” you speak, your words come out sharp and harsh, harsher than you intend.

“Listen I just wanted to say I’m sorry, I see you moved on had kids,” his heart wants to break at the idea.

“Daichi” you mumble

“that’s fine, I just want you to know I still love you.” He finally catches his breath as you roll your eyes.

“Are you done?” He nods as you pull back the little visor on the stroller.

“They’re definitely yours…I didn’t settle down at all and I love you as well but we’re kind of a package deal babe” you tell him in almost a joking manner.

He’s nodding the most serious look on his face as he looks down at the twins both staring right back up, eyes the same dolor of brown as his are.

My Thoughts: kay listen… i’ve been rereading all these fics over and over for the past week and I can not get over how perfectly nagito is characterized 😭♥️ I love how much attention there is to emotional detail in these works. Like the surroundings are important ofc ofc but I think one of the author’s strong suits is conveying emotion through small actions. Like you can tell the characters love each other, but it’s through the twitch in their eyebrow rather than some straight to the point claim. It makes it feel real and tender even tho the characters are basically being tortured the whole time. Like despite everything horrible happening around them there is still a touch of humanity and it’s found in the smallest of nuances that feel like a hidden gem to the reader, a saving grace sort of thing. also the smut is great So yeah go check these works out.

My Thoughts: another author I just literally read from religiously anymore. The author’s writing feels so mature and cohesive that it’s so compelling to read. It flows so smoothly while also leaving you on the edge of your seat. The main thing that stands out to me about these fics is how adult the relationships are. I love the healthy dynamics and the way it’s so clear that each character actively works to maintain a positive, healthy and stable companionship and it’s just so fulfilling to read. LIKE ESPECIALLY THE SMUT FEELS LIKE THIS like leading up to the sex just feels so legit and like home-y? Is that a weird way to describe sexual tension? It just feels intimate and familiar. Like even in sex the characters feel really deeply for each other no matter how kinky it gets I guess. Listen idk if that made sense but the point is I really really like it. Also the titles are so cool teach me how to make good titles pls.

My Thoughts: okay okay okay I will never ever shut up about this blog ever ever. Every piece of work is stunningly beautiful and literally feels like free verse poetry in the best way. The flow is very stop and go and the “stop”’s are utilized in such a brilliant way to emphasize some of my favorite lines in writing. (I see this especially in learn me, it’s so stunning) This author takes some of the most cliche metaphors/similes/common descriptions I see in fanfiction today and gives it a new feel. I was gonna give an example but it’s so startlingly present in all of the author’s work, so please just go read them, they’re phenomenal and make me feel like life is worth living if I can find a love that feels like this.

I finished TMR just a little while ago! I'm glad I took your rec on it!!! the ending was so satisfying and I love how Heewon (she's my FAVORITE) wasn't what I expected her to be initially bc I thought she'd be that sort of bitchy girl at first but she has so much heart to her and I love that she was almost immediately yeseul's #1 fan 😭 and I love how she wanted to work with Nuri and it put plus sized ppl in a good and respectful light. I love how the other contestants also had smaller arcs that were satisfied by end, it was nice to see minor characters have their own story. also the whole fiasco with uhhh.. Mr Bunny had me stressed as hell, I wanted him *obliterated* but I love that yeseul never thought of giving him a second chance, she's so strong and what a fantastic protagonist she is!!! I LOVE her dynamic with Yuseong especially. they were funny together and I was afraid they wouldn't have a strong chemistry but they really work together so well. THANKS FOR THIS RECOMMENDATION I'll likely pick up surviving romance after this

I didn't even realize when I finished the whole first season of Demon Slayer! it's been a while since I've binge-watched something, I'm more in a reading mood lately, but I enjoyed it lots! I'm not sure who's my top favourite character yet, maybe Tanjiro, I have a soft spot for kind-hearted characters 🥺 I liked Giyuu a lot too! there wasn't that much of him yet but I'm weak for Sakurai Takahiro's voice and he instantly had my attention once I heard his voice in the first epiosode. and I loved his interactions with Shinobu haha, I hope we get some backstories for the hashira later cause each and every one of them seems interesting!

Free! was my first sports anime and one of the first ones in general too! I agree that it had great relationships between the characters, it was definitely its strongest point. Of course I like Haikyuu, you've probably seen this one around here a lot. It's really strong in great characters too, honestly, the cast is SO HUGE but each and every character is fleshed out so well. It's hard not to root for every rival team there. My main favourite is one about baseball which is wild to me because before starting it I had zero idea about this sport, it's completely non-existent in my country but somehow it became the fandom that I've been invested in the longest. Life can be surprising!

It’s been okay kinda hectic with work, gift making and taking care of people at home 🤧 how was your week?

I take that as a good sign! 😂 but same happened to me before I knew it I practically caught up. Tanjiro is a good choice!! I feel like you can’t hate him he’s just too good for this world 😭 yes I love Giyuu’s VA and just the lines and life lessons we got from him from the first episode I adored his vibe. His interactions with Shinobu is my fave like I couldn’t imagine anyone else bullying him like that and getting away with it. I agree! I love what they did with Kyojuro’s back story so I can’t wait to see what they do for the others, the Hashira’s are interesting personalities.

I know of Haikyuu! I feel like I know the whole plot thanks to tumblr sksksksk but I haven’t seen it. But I hope to get to watch it when I get the time since I’ve only seen bits and pieces never the whole thing in full. But it looks interesting especially the rivalry aspect 👀 ahh that’s so cool!! I don’t know much about baseball either but I’ve seen it be portrayed as wildly competitive and ruthless lol. The only baseball anime I’ve seen a few episodes of is Ace of the Diamond, which I enjoyed and I kinda wanna get back to when I have the time. But yes there’s like so many things I think I wouldn’t be into but a lot of anime has changed my opinion on the subject matter.

Yeah I’m waiting for snk the second part of the final season, I recently watched vanitas no carte which seemed interesting so I’m curious to see how it goes in the second season. Spy x family looks interesting so I kinda wanna see what that’s about 👀 and I’m really looking forward to chainsaw man I’ve heard so many good things about it. I haven’t read the manga because I prefer to watch the anime first but it looks very promising! And it looks like my sort of thing. Is there anything you are looking forward to watch? 👀
