I certainly loved it as a kid! Nowadays... well, much like the previous question - a campfire is a lot of work, and s'mores are even more. And I guess neither seems worth it solo.

when you heard cillian’s name being called at the 2024 oscars, you felt like a tearing up, but you promised you weren’t going to cry. eh, some promises were meant to be broken.

the audience stood up to applaud for your husband. he turned to you and kissed you. you made sure your lipstick didn’t get on him like it did before. “i’m so proud of you.” you whispered to him as he gave you a hug.

when he released you, he stepped aside and saw his father in law, christopher, ready to give him a hug. you were sure twitter was going to make memes about the hug. it was something you discovered recently about how your father was always casting cillian in his work. you saw many jokes about it that it made you genuinely laugh.

finally, cillian made it to the stage to receive his oscar. in a room full of people, he found you staring at him with eyes full of love and proudness.

“i’m a little overwhelmed. thank you to the academy. um, chris nolan and emma thomas it’s been the wildest most exhilarating most creatively satisfying journey you’ve taken me on over the last twenty years. i owe you more than i can say. thank you so much. and thank you for not firing me after you found out your daughter and i were dating.” he said as the audience laughed.

the camera showed chris and you laughing at his joke.

after thanking the crew and cast, he looked at you. “thank you for being my partner in life, the mother of our beautiful children, my best friend, you are my person. i love you.” your father watched as you teared up.

after cillian finished his speech, you were tapped on your shoulder by your father, who offered you a tissue. “thanks, dad.” you chuckled as you took it.

next it was time for best director, a category you were nervous for your father.

“and the oscar goes to . . . christopher nolan, oppenheimer.” steven speilberg announced. your father had done it, finally. he was an oscar winner. after eight nominations, he finally got his golden statue.

after he hugged and kissed emma, he walked to your direction. cillian was still backstage, but he was watching close by. your father hugged you for a few seconds then kissed your cheek.

“you did it!” you cheered.

“it’s yours too, love.”

when he got to the stage, he was greeted by steven and got handed his oscar. it was truly a surreal moment. he first thanked the studios and several people who helped make the film.

“to my daughter, you are the reason for this.” he held up the statue. “you have a brilliant mind and a kind soul and i’m extremely proud to be your father. you gave me the book that this film is based on and you helped create a masterpiece. thank you forever. i share this with you.” his words made you cry even more.

you blew a kiss to your father then wiped away a tear. it was a dream come true.

shortly after, cillian got back to his seat, golden statue in hand. “did i do okay?”

“you did it perfectly, my love.”

when it was time for best picture to be announced, you were a bit confused. you weren’t sure if al pacino was didn’t care or if he was joking, but your father’s film had won best picture. it was a weird way to announce it, but your father and the oppenheimer team walked to the stage to receive the award.

it was definitely a perfect way to end the night.

One of the requirements for nomination aside from requesting it is proof! Which is only fair 🤣

I nominated myself for three categories, the fanfiction category, the Sam fan category and the Adam fan category. In regards to the fanfiction, since we can only offer one as qualification, I feel like there’s only one fic I can use 😁

I’ve become borderline infamous for this fic, not only for how long it has become (with plenty more on the way!) but also with how bad I am about posting chapters that are anywhere between 7 to 10k 😅

As for providing proof as to why I am the #1 Sam fan? I have written 36 fanfics, and only 11 of them do not have Sam in them 🤣 I also have almost a dozen more fics on the way which feature him prominently and sometimes (read as ‘often’) carnally 😉 I adore my old man cowboy (and as my fanart has proven, I do indeed depict the Southern Vamp as an older man 😁 He was turned at 29 and is currently 45, he an old man with crow’s feet he got from taking care of those danged progeny of his!)

Now, in regard to being the Adam fan? 👀 I can think of a few names that are most definitely intense competition for that, but as someone who falls asleep to Adam’s first kidnapping audio, I feel like I gotta fight for my spot at the table 🤣 I have lauded my love for the Danger Bois™️ several times on this account, and that toxic little fuck sits happily at the top of the list lol it breaks my heart that he’s gone already, I feel like he could have been a wonderful foil against Vincent and potential for some very fun drama (bonus audio for Adam when, Erik? 👀) my toes still curl when I hear his smarmy voice purr out “Dream of me, bloodbag” 😅

The swamp of the forgotten

Since the creation of the all-powerful, the world has been ruled by several species of creature. Among these races, there are several categories: the Elves. The Elves themselves have been separated into several peoples over the centuries. The Grey Elves, rejected by all sides and living on the bangs of the human race, have become primitive. Living off little and close to nature, their existence remains discreet and mysterious. Nevertheless, they are formidable warriors and practice druidic magic.

Here's a 50x50 plot for download. I needed to create a special world for this race, which was inspired by a French writer by the name of Fetjaine (this author influenced my adolescence). Unfortunately, I couldn't find a construction CC to suit my imagination. So I converted 4 objects from a 3D modeling site and incorporated them into my terrain (It's purely aesthetic!). You can find them as a detached link if you're interested. However, they are converted on an "Eco Lifestyle" basis.

For those who know me, I'm a fan of fantasy. So I made the terrain mystical with birch trees with shimmering leaves and red flowers (I know, I'm a bit perched 😅) but it's a change from the swamps we know. I'd like to thank the creators of CC for allowing me to build this atypical world. You'll find a non-exhaustive list of creators' names here, as well as my "Tray" folder. It's also perfect for those who want a touch of fantasy and survivalism (Sims live in huts). I hope you enjoy the game, and don't hesitate to share your screenshots with me!

A few posts down I see something I'd reblogged a longer version of from someone else and recognise the comment they'd left on it

“It’s so early”, I complain on my way to Patacona Beach, where we have to do some early morning training.

“It’s the perfect time to train. The only people there will be tourists finding a spot to put their beach umbrellas”.

“I guess”.

But Jorge is actually wrong, because when we get to the area of the beach we always use for our training, there is someone else there.

"Buenos días" (Good morning), we say when we walk past them

"Buenos días".

I know that guy…

"Is that Ferran Torres?", I whisper.

"Who?"

"Right. I forgot you know nothing about football".

"Oh, a footballer player? I can see that. Very fit".

"And of course you would notice that".

"I mean fit body for his job".

"Sure, darling".

We keep placing the equipment on the sand, same as Ferran and his trainer.

"So, who does he play for?"

"Barça but he used to play for Valencia".

"That tone lets me know the break up wasn't good".

Comparing a player leaving for another team with a break-up is a pretty good analogy, actually.

"He left to go to England so whatever. But then came back and celebrated scoring against us".

"Did he take his shirt off? For the celebration, I mean".

"No".

"I can see why it bothered you then".

I just roll my eyes.

Since I don’t want to be here all day, we get on with the training. I’m still recovering from a small injury so it’s vital I make sure not to overwork certain muscles. And that also means we have to stop several times for Jorge to make sure we’re doing it right. He’s my trainer but is also studying sport medicine so no one can help me more than him.

“I need more tape. Let me run to the pharmacy quickly”.

“Ok, I’ll rest”.

He’s always forgetting things so I’m not surprised. And I can use the rest so I sit down, stretching my legs every couple of seconds so the muscles don’t get too cold.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Ferran doing the same. His trainer is also gone…I wonder if he forgets things all the time as Jorge does. When he notices me looking, he smiles and I just give him a small smile in return and look away.

“Are you an athlete too?”

“Yeah”.

“I don’t know if you know me. I’m…”.

“I know you”.

“Was that a good I know you or a bad I know you?”, he laughs and some past thoughts flood my mind again. I might have had a crush on him before he left for City.

“Let’s say neutral”.

“I’ll take it. My trainer had to go talk to another client. Where’s yours?”

I didn’t expect him to make small talk but I guess it’s better than sitting here alone.

“He forgot to bring more tape. He’s lucky I can’t fire him because he always forgets something”.

“You can’t fire him…because he’s your boyfriend?”

“What?”, I try not to look disgusted but can’t help it.

“I mean. I get trainers might have to be a bit touchy but he was a lot touchy and you smiled at each other a lot, so I assumed…”.

Was he staring at us the whole time or something? “He’s my brother”.

“Now I get why you looked so disgusted. Sorry”.

But instead of looking sorry, he just starts to laugh.

“You’re so weird”.

“I’ve been called worse”, he shrugs, standing up and walking to where I am.

When we got here, it was still pretty dark but now the sun is rising there is a gorgeous orange hue around us. One that makes him look even more handsome. And the fact that he's not wearing a shirt doesn't help. Damn it! I'll go back to thinking about his celebration.

“Do you want to train with me?”, he asks, offering his hand. “They might take a while and we don’t want to get cold”.

I hesitate for a second before taking his hand and letting him help me get up. “I’m recovering from an injury, I can’t do much”.

“That’s ok. What sport do you practice?”

“Athletics. I participate in as many categories as I can qualify for”.

“Impressive. I just run and kick a ball”.

“Don’t be so hard on yourself, Torres. You score sometimes too”.

My comment brings his laughter back. “Valencia or Madrid then?”

“What?”

“The team you support. Because you don’t seem to like me much”.

“If you insinuate again I support Madrid, I’d like you even less”.

“So Valencia…”.

He walks to where his equipment is and I follow. Why? I don't know.

"Do you ever do boxing to train?", he asks me, picking up the gloves.

"Yeah, kickboxing too but I probably shouldn't force my legs too much. Not without Jorge supervising. Jorge is my brother, by the way. Not my boyfriend".

"A lot of athletes have affairs with their trainers. It wouldn't be that strange".

"Have you had any with yours?"

"Not with my trainers. But with some of my training partners…well, it happens".

I know it happens because that's how I met my ex but I'm not going to tell him. Also, I can tell he's flirting and I'm not interested. So agreeing with him would only give him the wrong impression.

"Who does the punching first?"

"You need the practice more", I say and he raises an eyebrow. "Because of your fight with Savic. He clearly won so you know, you need to practice for next time".

"Do you think he won that fight?", I nod. "You might have to watch it again. Or we could recreate it so you see I was in control the whole time".

When I look up to meet his eyes, I realise how close to me he is. And how nervous he's making me feel.

"So, do you want to start or not? I'm happy to punch you".

My words make him smirk but he moves back a little. "Show me what you got, then".

I take the gloves he's offering me and look down at them, trying to take deep breaths that aren't too obvious. It's just the crush I used to have. I'm sure of that. Nothing else.

I didn't lie when I said we do kickboxing for practice. And that's why the punches aren't enough. I'm itching to kick too. My legs are a lot stronger and I want to show Ferran how strong I am.

"Move back so I can kick you".

"Wow, I heard about that flirting technique but I thought it only involved insulting. Kicking me too…well, it could be worth it".

I bit my lip, trying to resist his teasing. "You might want to move one of your hands lower".

"Why?"

"Because you're making me want to kick you somewhere else that's not protected like your hands".

But he just laughs and puts his arms up so I can kick.

I try both legs slowly and when I feel more confident, I kick with my right leg. Hard.

"Jesus! You're strong".

"Regretting your teasing now?"

"Kinda…".

I just smile before the next kick and then I feel it, a little discomfort on my thigh. I put my head down and groan, frustrated.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm feeling something on my thigh. It's the same whenever I exercise too much. I can't wait to fully recover because I hate being only 50% fit".

"I get how you feel".

His voice sounds softer and I look up at him and see understanding in his eyes. He's obviously had injuries too.

"We can switch now. So I have a little rest…", but before I have time to finish talking, I see Jorge coming back.

I might have forgotten about him for a second.

He looks at me and then at Ferran, curious.

"I was trying not to get cold but I hurt myself a little".

"You what?"

Hearing about that takes all the weird ideas off his head. Just what I wanted.

"I stopped before I fully hurt myself. It's just the same discomfort I've been having".

"What did you make her do?"

Something people don't get is how protective of me my brother is. Too much sometimes.

"It was my idea, Jorge. Let's just go back and finish our training", I tell him, grabbing his arm. "Thanks for keeping me company, Torres".

"No problem. Maybe I'll see you tomorrow?"

"I've got gym tomorrow".

"Ok. Another day maybe".

"Maybe".

Jorge makes me sit immediately so he can touch the area that hurts and make sure it's not something worse than overworked muscles. And once he's happy, we finish the exercise routine we always do at the beach.

By the time we are done packing our things, I see Ferran stretching after finishing his own workout. We have to walk past him on the way out of the beach and when he looks our way, I wave at him. That gets a smile from him before he waves back.

"How did you end up training with the footballer? I can't leave you alone".

"He asked me and I thought it could be a good way to keep moving while you were away".

"Right", Jorge's tone is already annoying me before he keeps talking. "What was his name again?"

"Ferran Torres".

"Didn't you used to have his shirt?"

Of course, he remembers. "He was supposed to be our next star so I guess a lot of fans did too".

"Was that the only reason…".

"Stop talking", I say, glaring at him.

"Got it. But if you want a new one, he might be happy to get one for you".

The next day, we start the day at the gym and once I'm back home, I shower and put on a nice summer dress to go grab something to drink with some friends.

We’re meeting at a bar we only go to in the summer, since it’s closer to the beach. But when I get there, I check my phone and realise how early it is. Typical. I’m early and they’ll be super late.

I make my way to the terrace anyways. I can have a drink while I wait for them. And then I hear voices coming closer and assume it’s the owners who saw me get here, coming to see what I want to order. But…it isn’t just them.

"Let's go outside to take a photo. Maybe there is someone around who can take it for us", says the lady I recognize as the owner. “This lovely girl can help us maybe. And I’ll take your order in a second”.

She notices Ferran looking at me and I say a very shy hi to him which he returns.

"Oh, you know each other?"

"Sort of”, he says.

"Can you take the photo, darling?"

"Of course".

I get up and pick up the phone she’s offering so I can take the photos. “Done”.

She checks the photos, showing them to Ferran.

"Look at you. I've known him since he was a baby, you know?", she says looking at me. "And now look at him. So grown up and handsome".

Yeah, I can agree with her on that second part.

“Since you know each other, you keep her company for a second and I’ll be right back to get her order, ok?”

I sit down and Ferran stands next to my table.

"Done with training for today?"

"Yes, we did gym in the morning and now time to relax".

"Cool. Are you meeting someone?"

"Some friends but knowing them, they won't be here for another half an hour".

"If you want a drink while you wait, I can ask for it. They never allow me to pay so you’ll get it for free".

"It's ok. I can wait …".

"What do you usually drink?"

"Nestea?"

"Be right back".

"You don't have to…".

But he doesn’t listen to me and a couple of minutes later, he is back with my drink and a little tapa.

“Do they make you work for them?”

He chuckles. “Sometimes. You know, I’m glad we meet again. I got the feeling that your brother, not your boyfriend, was a bit mad at me. I’ve been thinking about it”.

He had? “He’s ok. Just worried about my injuries”.

“Still. I don’t like giving such a bad first impression. Unless he hates me too and it wasn’t really the first”.

“He doesn’t care about football. You’re safe”.

“What about you? Do you hate me?”

I shake my head. “Just got the wrong impression when you celebrated that goal against us. But I guess you’re not that bad”.

We stay in silence for a second and I eat some of the olives to keep myself occupied.

“I’m going on holiday tomorrow”, he says, surprising me.

“Ok?”

“And then I’ll go back to Barcelona”.

“Are you trying to get somewhere with this information? I don’t think I need your schedule”, I say, chuckling slightly.

“Do you ever go to Barcelona for competitions?”

“Pretty often, actually”.

“Can we meet when you do?”

“To go to the beach for a morning training?”, I tease.

“I was thinking about going on a date but I guess there is time for that too”.

We both just look at each other, our faces getting closer slowly. I guess that crush never really left.

“Hi! Have you been waiting here for long? And who is this?”

I move back and turn to see my friends. “Hi, this is Ferran. He was just keeping me company while you got here. And you’re early…for once”. How inconvenient.

“I’ll go now”, says Ferran and I panic a little because if he leaves now, I won’t see him again. “Nice seeing you again”.

He moves closer to me again to kiss my cheek as a goodbye. But before moving away, he whispers in my ear. “Send me your number in a DM on Instagram. You know my account”.

Lately I've been playing three sims saves when usually I only play one at a time. But I still can't post more than one gameplay, because it's too confusing for me 😅

After playing several vanilla saves I realized that I don't need as much CC as I have (though some categories are really missing stuff still, like blushes for e.g.)

But when I try to clean out my CC folder I can't part with most of it 😅 I guess it will be easier to just start fresh then trying to figure out what to delete and what to keep.

Hello! Do vampire spawn explicitly need consent to drink their master’s blood or is it more that they physically/mentally aren’t able to because their master has control over them? I figured it was fairly vague and open to different interpretations. For example, Cazador can stop Astarion in his tracks to keep him from attacking him or even order the spawn to torture themselves, but at the end of the big fight, he’s too weak to even try to stop Astarion from stabbing him.

What’s stopping spawn from drinking their master’s blood when they’re too weak to deny them? If it’s taken without consent would they suck-sessfully (sorry 😅) turn into a true vampire or would they stay spawns?

Ah, vague descriptions that are open to interpretation - It's not truly D&D if these don't exist so that the table can derail the game for six hours arguing about it.

EDIT: Ohhh I just noticed I answered a different question to what you asked. Sorry. Half-asleep.

Honestly. No idea about the stabbing. I'll try to answer that again in the morning and my brain works again.

if Cazador has forbidden Astarion from attempting to biting him or otherwise attempting to drink his blood then I imagine Astarion can't do so. Cazador's orders stand, regardless of if his spawn has the upper hand at the moment. Of course, if Shadowheart temporarily disables Cazador's commands with her Turn Undead ability, then Astarion can ignore those commands.

EDIT 2: And obviously, the tadpole and Astarion being severely triggered and more interested in the vampire+ package of ascension was a large part of it.

But what I was babbling about regarding the need for blood, because I'm fond of it:

Disclaimer; I don't think this was intended at all, but it's there!

Prior to 3.5e vampire spawn wasn't even a separate category. An enslaved vampire had all the abilities of their master. (And - back before we had to deal with the lingering bullshit effects of 4e carrying over - spawn were still basically on the same level as their masters; the only thing ascended Astarion would've been able to do that his unascended self couldn't would've been the ability to turn into or summon/control bats (and wolves and rats), which is honestly a trivial difference) What caught my eye here is that 3.5e also had an interesting thing in that not all of the new creations of a vampire were spawn: more powerful individuals rose from their grave with the whole powerset already unlocked (what 5e terms a "true" vampire), but they were still under their killer's control.

The blood drinking is a new element added in 5e, which is how a spawn "transform" into true vampires now. Freeing a vampire from control is a separate thing that all the editions have answered, blood drinking has never been related to emancipation.

Stick to a pure 3.5e reading (and an interpretation of 5e's) and a vampire can free a spawn without them unlocking their full power.

1e - 3.5e, when we put it up against 5e's new "spawn/true" divide, have established that being a "true" vampire or becoming one is a separate factor to being controlled.

A vampire holds control over those it kills, whether they're full vampire or spawn. A vampire could turn its spawn into a full vampire without surrendering control. A spawn can be freed without them becoming a true vampire.

So if we follow this reading, if Astarion could drink Cazador's blood without Cazador granting his freedom, Astarion would become a full vampire but still be under his master's control. (Vampires being paranoid and territorial, even if he can still control them, Cazador probably wouldn't want to make his spawn stronger, so that wouldn't happen)

Anyway, now we're starting to go into the realms of there being no RAW to follow.

Can a spawn drink from their dead master's blood and still gain power? Does it have to be their own master's blood, or will any "true" vampire do the job? We have no answers for this, so you'll have to decide for yourself.

18. Favorite possession headcanon.

In canon as we all know, Nicholas’ most important possession is that old newspaper clipping of Robert, and for Seiji it would be his fencing journal. But the question being asked here is for favorite possession so… onwards!

For me, both of their favorite possessions would actually depend on the au that I’m writing for, and while I have several aus simmering on my brain at the moment, I surprisingly don’t have many favorite possessions penned into their stories yet. But if we’re going for in-general or “praline-canon,” I’d say that polaroids or pictures of any sort could easily fall into the this category. Photographs are an easy thing to be sentimental about, and neither of them seem too materialistic—Seiji who has it all, and Nicholas who… doesn’t. It could be of anything, honestly. A sneaky pic of the other smiling or laughing, a picture of the duo together, or even a picture of King’s Row’s fencing team having ranked in some future competition.

Canon has slim pickings of belongings for both Seiji or Nicholas, and I feel like headcanoning Nicholas’ leather jacket or any accessory of Seiji’s is sort of a cop-out answer. I will say though, that I don’t think Nicholas’ fencing shoes are a “favorite” possession of his; he just, owns them.

Hmm... I'd like to do a follow up for the time loop snippet I wrote in response to an ask here, but since that's unfinished it's not really a sequel. 😅 And someday I would really like to rewrite We Only Have the First Night. But other than that, I feel like everything else is pretty much... done? Lol sorry boring answer

11. a WIP you’d like to finish someday

So many. So, so many. My writing style is very chaotic so I end up with a lot of WIPs that I add random thoughts to as I have them. When one reaches critical mass (a good chunk written and a general idea of where's it's going) and I get inspiration for it, I will finally fine tune it into some kind of plot and hopefully finish it.

I have several in that critical mass category that are likely to be finished eventually:

- the one where Byleth comes back from the timeskip and doesn't remember Dimitri (started like a year and a half ago lol)

- the one where Byleth tries to encourage Dimitri to wear the summer uniform when it gets hot

- sauna smut

- a treat for the winter exchange 🙈

There's one that has stalled for a long time but I would like to finish eventually, about Claude manipulatinf Byleth into a betrothal after Dimitri rejects her out of guilt. But I'm not really sure where it's going 🤷‍♀️

Hi there, you can totally ignore this if you want, but I’ve seen you helping others with queer identity questions before, so I was hoping you might be able to help me as well?

I’m (She/her) in the midst of figuring out my sexuality at 22, after growing up in a super small, rural, conservative area, so up until I was 20 I just assumed I was straight and that everyone felt the same I did (apparently not😅). I know that not everyone needs a label, but due to some past experiences with severe invalidation regarding a lack of labels medically, I find a lot of comfort in them, so it’s something that definitely matters to me!

Here’s the (PG-13?) basics; • I am definitely attracted to Women, in every sense of the word, but I’ve only ever dated Men. • I’m definitely Aesthetically attracted to men, as well as romantically, and I love the idea of dating a man. • I don’t think I’m sexually attracted to men? I’m quite neutral about sex with men. For example, I don’t particularly enjoy it, but it’s something I’m willing to do for a partner.

(Side note, I wholeheartedly believe that Trans Men are Men, and Trans Women are Women, regardless of where they are in their transition, so there’s no difference there to me, unless a person tells me themself that they feel they fall into a different category, at which point we would go from there, obviously)

As of right now, I’ve been tentatively going with bisexual, but I’m just not sure how accurate that is? Like I said, I grew up with VERY little information about anything queer related.

Again, I totally understand if you don’t want to answer, but you’ve helped so many other people, so I figured you might be the best person to ask?

So I think something that a lot of people don't realize is that there's a difference between romantic and sexual attraction. Its discussed a bit more in the ace/aro community, but it can be different for everyone, whether you're ace or not.

It seems to me like you might be somewhat close to biromantic, but homosexual (aka gay, lesbian, what have you). Meaning you can form romantic connections with men and women, but you are sexually attracted to only women.

As far as a label, since it is important to you, this could be the label you go with! If, however, you want a simpler label that more people understand (though it is not your responsibility to be understandable to everyone), I don't think there's anything wrong with going with bisexual or gay or queer. Honestly, the label you use is whatever is most validating and helpful to YOU.

I did on Winter Moon but I don't particularly care about the opinions of someone whose intentions are to be intentionally dismissive and negative so the comments the person received in return were likely not what they had wanted 💀

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Absolutely. And I'm not sure what the categories are, but I'd describe my smut as detailed and nasty 😈

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Nah, never did a crossover and not really a fan of them. However when I was still really young there was a gigantic, kind of OOC crossover fic with a bunch of popular anime from the 90s/2000s called Otherworld and I used to read that like it was the bible. It inspired me to do my own first fanfics. There were like 9 books to that story and multiple oneshots and short stories that tied the characters together and everything.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I am aware... and anyone who tries it...

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not publicly, but I have gotten a comment that someone loves my story so much that they translate every chapter so that they could read it properly and it made me so happy 😭❤💕

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope! But I do love giving other authors ideas and vice versa. I think it helps people think outside the box when they brainstorm with friends.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

I'm going to say Attoye from Black Panther for now? I was never that big of a "shipping" person in fandoms but I definitely enjoy Attoye enough to say I ship them. I also like Nashuri and Killmora.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Nothing atm. I tend to work on stories in order of inspiration and importance. I don't publish things I'm not willing to commit time to at some point.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I've been told that I write very descriptively and that it can paint a vivid picture of scenarios and characters, so I'll go with that.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Fluff and filler. I don't dislike fluff completely but I tend to write it as realistically as possible because trying to imagine people being that super ooey gooey makes me wanna gag and cringe lmfao

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I do it only when necessary for the simple fact that having to provide translations for entire scenes of dialogue gets tiresome very quickly.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

This is hard because I love all my fics and have several multi chapter stories that I consider my babies. For now I will go with Winter Moon or Bond In Blue since they are published.

The German word for it is Pflegegrad.

Pflegegrad 1 is called "Low/minor impairment of independence"

2: "Significant impairment of independence"

3: "Severe impairment of independence"

4: "Most severe impairment of independence"

5: "Most severe impairment of independence with special requirements for nursing care"

I'm Pflegegrad 4, and I can assure you I have so-called "behavioural problems", so they added that to the level already.

As you can see, both 4 and 5 are "most severe impairment".

So Pflegegrad 4 basically is "I'm either on the high end of medium support needs or on the low end of high support needs" incarnate 😂

THANK YOU!!! I do have some book recs, and I'm going to separate them in two categories: a) all time faves (aka books that rewired my brain), and b) my fave books I read this year.

All Time Faves

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller: if you follow me for my patrochilles writing, then you already know I love this book 😅 It literally altered my brain chemistry when I read it and I have never been the same.

RotE: short for The Realm of the Elderlings series by Robin Hobb, it's like 16 books long and I recommend each one. Fitz is my pathetic little meow meow and the Fool is one of my favourite characters of all time. Read at your own peril LOL

Earthsea and Lavinia by Ursula K Le Guin: I'm on a quest to read everything Le Guin has written because her writing is just *chef's kiss*. I adore her prose and the way climaxes and conflict are handled, and I love the worldbuilding. Her Earthsea stories are just so wonderful and poignant, I particularly love the Tombs of Atuan and Tehanu. The latter is permanently on my reread roster, I read it once a year towards the end of the year when I start feeling blue because it's just so comforting. And I have to include my favourite quote:

"You are beautiful," Tenar said in a different tone. "Listen to me, Therru. Come here. You have scars, ugly scars, because an ugly, evil thing was done to you. People see the scars. But they see you, too, and you aren't the scars. You aren't ugly. You aren't evil. You are Therru, and beautiful. You are Therru who can work, and walk, and run, and dance, beautifully, in a red dress."

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte: another long time favourite and one I reread at least once a year. It’s just one of the best books ever written (sorry I don't make the rules). I'm not sure if that is where my love of childhood friends to toxic, copedepent lovers and of unhinged, violent men in fiction came from but it sure contributed to it LMAO. I don’t consider it a romance book but I do adore the way it handles love and romance, among other things. It's just so bleak and cynical but also highly comedic in places and I could talk about it forever. TL;DR please read it haha.

On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong: I didn’t like this book very much when I first started it but it had become a favourite by the time I finished it. I've reread it several times (I think just this year I've read it twice), it's just so heartbreaking and beautiful.

Fave books I read this year:

Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat: technically I finished the trilogy end of last year but I still think about it a lot. It's very well written and imo the perfect balance of angst, plot, intrigue and horniness.

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik: I read it earlier this year and I literally can't stop thinking about it lol. It’s SO well written and very immersive and even though the plot itself isn't like... comforting, it felt like a great comfort to read it. Ever since I finished it, every time I start a new book I'm like "gah I wish I could read it for the first time again" haha. I'm going to be rereading it for Christmas I think!

The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells: another series I enjoyed a lot this year! I listened to the audiobooks and the VA is just so good, he's Murderbot in my mind lol. I should probably reread the last few books because my attention span was awful while I was listening to them, but overall they're very entertaining but also touch upon important issues in a really interesting way.

She Who Became The Sun by Shelly Parker-Chan: I really enjoyed this book, the plot, characters and worldbuilding was very interesting and I absolutely love the way that gender queerness and "otherness" was explored. I am eagerly awaiting the next book 👀

Villains series by V.E. Schwab: a highly entertaining read, I was pleasantly surpised by how much I enjoyed this. I love me a close friends to sworn enemies story, especially when they are obsessed with each other in as homosexual a way as these two LMAO. The supporting characters were also very well written which isn't easy to find in stories with such a busy cast. Once again, eagerly awaiting the next book!

I am very autistic about theology and in particular, hotly debated theology and it is very Interesting that apparently that extends to clown religion 😅 all that to say, I am well And truly obsessed with the mirthful scripture, it is So Good

Do you have any tidbits or fun facts about clown church? Like, are there denominations? How often do the clowns on the blessed come to blows about scriptural interpretation(bc I went to a religious college and it sure did come close like, a lot of times) or anything else you want to share!

I was raised in religion but am in no way a scholar or active practitioner so I'm glad that my weird hybrid clown religion is passing muster lol. As somebody who's mostly going by the Vibes, uhhh, let's see.

I'd assume that yes, there are denominations in a sense, especially out on outpost ships that have little subsets of The Family that aren't directly connected to the main church fleet. We aren't likely to see as much of them in PoF because it's set essentially in the Clown Vatican. Considering this is a religion based on chaos and clownery, it seems reasonable to me that it's less that there are broad denominational categories and more that everybody's kind of doing their own thing. Sometimes there are groups of people who all believe similar things, but I don't know that most of them would be centralized or codified enough to have names like human religious denominations do!

Much like most things in troll society, it's a game of knowing what the people in power will let you get away with. Rakhem, the GHB before Kurloz, was a lot more strict about bloodcolor doctrine, and would actively cull non-purple quadrants of church members if he caught them on board--but he didn't much care about people asking what he considered wishy-washy bullshit philosophy questions about "what if the messiahs were people like us?". His concerns were about spies, traitors, adulteration of the church, etc, and he was incredibly concerned with how the Messiahs had blessed seadwellers with colder blood than him, and also with culling pretty much every lower blood he ran into. Kurloz doesn't comparatively give much of a shit about that! He considers the people who say off-color faithful are fine to be kind of weird and doesn't really agree with them but also doesn't consider their whole deal overtly sinful enough to be worth his notice as long as they're not, like, bringing lowbloods into the flagship chapel as equals right in front of him. But he gives a whole hell of a lot more shits about people who vocally question the divinity of the messiahs or deify trolls.

Anyway all this to say things have relatively settled down over the last several hundred sweeps but I do still think that compared to the religions humans are used to, Clown Church must be pretty constantly in wild flux, and vary a lot from person to person. Relatedly:

Yes there are definitely fights over religious doctrine and scripture interpretation, on a scale from "aggressive slam poetry" to "somebody just got mauled" depending on how mad both people are about it. Sometimes your deviation from the norm is dramatic enough it gets crushed in a bloody inquisition from the Grand Highblood, but sometimes it was just something you thought of that felt true, but when you brought it up in theological discussion you got your ass kicked multiple times over it. And either reconsidered, headed off to a more distant outpost ship where people gave less shits, or learned to keep your mouth shut haha.
