Tumblr media
Y/N laid on the big chez lounge couch in the middle of her living room, surrounded by her children’s toys, with a large bowl of Doritos on her lap as the Real Housewives played on the background. For the very first time since forever, she was alone at home; Jess and Marion were at their respective schools while Sebastian was busy in the studio, doing some rearrangements to a new album. She loved the three of them more than anything but she knew that she would’ve never had the chance to eat Doritos without Sebastian complaining it was unhealthy for her or her children trying to take a bite. Lately, all she wants is to lay low, bask in her leave from work and watch some trashy TV.
As her eyes were getting heavier and heavier with sleep when the front door opened, sending her back into alert mood. Luckily, it wasn’t no one trying to break in but her husband who still couldn’t open doors without making a big ruckus about it.
     - I’m sorry, bunny. -  he stepped back as he recognised his wife’s sleepy face. - I thought you’d be in the bedroom.
     - Can’t move. - she pointed at her bulging bump covered by one of his old jumpers which seemed to be the only thing that fully covered her at this particular stage. Sebastian chuckled, walking over to her to quickly kiss her, hand caressing her bump through the jumper. - Didn’t expect you to be home so early.
      - I can see. - he pointed at the bowl of Doritos on her lap. - You’re supposed to be the prudent one.
    - I’m carrying your offspring. It makes me make bad decisions. - she teased, cuddling against him as he sat by her side, worn out slightly loose black leather jacket still on. - How are the boys?
    - Fighting about who gets to be godfather this time.
    - Did you tell them my brother is gonna be the godfather?
    - Now, where would the fun be in that, bunny? - he smirked, with that boyish like looks he still managed to remain after all these years.
    - Stop it. - she leaned towards him to kiss him.
    - How are you feeling today? - his hand mindlessly rubbed her bump, feeling the little moves of the baby whenever the baby moved. - Little one is a bit feisty today.
    - It’s been like this all of last night. I think I might be closer to labour than we think.
    - Why didn’t you tell me? I would’ve driven the kids to school, honey love.
    - You needed to sleep. - she groaned as she stretched her legs. - Besides, Marion is staying with your mum today so I wanted to spend some time with her before she went.
    - No kids tonight? - he leaned over to kiss her collarbone. - How long has it been?
    - As long as I’ve been pregnant. - she pushed him away playfully. - Jess is not going.
    - Why not? Jess loves my mum. Is he sick? Urgh, is the flu going around his class again? We need to put him into a better school, those kids at his school are always s...
    - Seb, stop. - she rolled her eyes, smiling at the same time at how he’d gone from let it be to constant rambling about his children’s wellbeing. - He just wants to be home tonight and he’s been a little sad lately.
    - You’re sure he’s not sick? Because there’s this private school which tests kids for all those flu things.
    - He’s not sick. He’s just got ... a bit of a lovebug. He got like this when I was last pregnant with Marion.
    - Well, at least he hasn’t decided that the baby is just not coming. - Sebastian referred to Marion. Their daughter had just decided there was no baby coming around, even after being offered her own bedroom with her own bathroom, just for herself. - I’ll go pick him up, make it a whole thing. Maybe even pass by Al’s ... get you that pasta you really like.
    - You’re just trying to make me forget that you’re the reason we’re moving houses.
   - Y/N, this house has always been too small.
   - That’s because you need a whole room for your guitars alone.
She’d spend the best part of her initial married years trying to convince Sebastian to either get a storage unit to put all his guitars in or to just merge it with his office yet, he’d always come back with an excuse. “Honey love, they need to be displayed”, “Bunny I would just get distracted if they were in my office” he would tell her with his rockstar like charm which she thought was strong enough to resist, yet how can she say no when he immediately shifts from boyish smile to having her pressed against the wall of that very same room, pounding into her as if he was an up and coming rockstar and her his favourite groupie. With the need for that bedroom, their once spacious apartment they bought when she was pregnant with Jess was becoming too small. Normally Y/N would be okay with it but being 8 months pregnant during the fall where it constantly rains in New York, moving seemed like the last thing she’d like to do and just thinking about it made her tired already. After all, she could barely walk to the kitchen without feeling tired or taking a short break in the middle of the path. She thought that after two pregnancies, the third one would be a walk in the park. Turns out it’s more like a run in the park, except the park is on fire and she’s barefoot.
   - Honey love, asking me to get rid of my guitars is like asking you to get rid of your five copies of Emma.
   - They’re in different languages. - she argued back.
   - They’re different models, besides, we can finally have a guest bedroom. You always wanted a guest bedroom.
   - Sure then maybe my grandfather will come visit more often. How about that? - Sebastian chuckled at her answer. - I’m not joking. You get me pregnant, you get to be annoyed by my grandfather.
   - You’re acting like this is my fault when you were the one who wore fishnets with a leather skirt. I’m only human.
   - Fine, 10% my fault, 90% you fault. That’s my final offer.
   - You sure?
   - Yes. You see, you are a sex maniac who cannot be controlled.
   - That’s not what you wrote about me. - he smirked. - You said I had more soul than just a sex pot.
   - Do not quote my own words at me.
   -  You bought my old guitar.
   - Urgh ... - she rolled her eyes. Sebastian grinned, happy he’d won the debate. - Just go make the other mums jealous please.
   - Look at you, using me for my sex appeal only.
   - No. I just really enjoy being the powerful mum.
   - Yeah? What’s that like?
   - Constant questions about if we do weird sex blood rituals. Then mysterious answers, so they all fear you and don’t force you to attend PTA meetings on date nights.
   - I gotta say, bunny ... we got this parenting thing covered.
   - We do.
   - When I come back, you better not have a bowl of Doritos on your belly.
   - I’ll do whatever I want.
   - Sure, bunny, if you walk to the kitchen by yourself ...
   - Low move, Stan. Low.
   - You love me. - he chuckled, grabbing his keys from the trinket dish by the entry door. - See you soon, bunny.
   - Love you. - she scrunched her face in a little smile which he couldn’t help but smile back.
Sebastian liked to pick up Marion and Jess from school. His schedule normally meant Y/N, who had a more 9-5 job, was the one who’d do the drop offs and collections so he’d always meet them at home but whenever he could pick them up, he’d be the first one there. He just loved to see his two babies come out of school in their little uniforms which he incredibly hated when they first enrolled but now couldn’t help but find incredibly adorable. He also loved to see how both his children came out of school. Marion would be the one who’d take the longest, surrounded by all her friends and probably nursing a scrape or two on her knee as if kindergarten 2-3 year old was a big fighting ground while Jess would come out as quickly as he could.
He parked slightly in front of his son’s school, coming out of the car and leaning against it. The parents’ eyes were immediately on him, maybe it was due to the star power or, most likely, it was because he was wearing a leather jacket, dark shades and his neck tattoo could be seen peaking out the collar of his jacket. His shoes crinkled the fallen leaves on the floor, avoiding those looks as he waited for his son. He knew who he was and he was not going to change it because he became a father, he is a good father, he knows that. The bell rang and a swarm of children came rushing out of the school, and they say birth rates are low. He took his sunglasses off, trying to pin point his son in the middle of all different aged children.
   -  DAD! - he turned his head to the memorable voice, crutching down as he son rushed to him. Jess wrapped his arms around his father, little childish giggles as Sebastian pulled him off the floor.
   - Hey, buddy. How was school?
   - We did hand turkeys.
   - Hand turkeys? No way, that’s so cool. - he opened up the car’s passenger’s seat, sticking around to check if he fastened his seatbelt correctly before taking the driver’s seat. - It’s just gonna be us three today, bud. You, me and mummy. We getting Al’s and some ice cream.
   - Why didn’t mummy come?
   - Mummy is very tired, buddy. The baby is kicking a lot, won’t let the baby sleep.
   - Oh ...  - Sebastian saw his son’s face grow sadder.
   - What do you want from Al’s, bud? You can get whatever you want.
   - Really?
   - Yeah.
The little restaurant had soon become a staple in their family life. Sebastian had. discovered by accident after accidentally burning dinner for Y/N’s. He wasn’t already too popular with Y/N’s family so he knew he had to fix it and there it was, the small little restaurant filled with delicious food. Now, it was just a Friday night tradition yet today was special, almost nostalgic to when Y/N, Sebastian and Jess had their first home. Back when Y/N and him were new parents and would trip on every toy in the apartment. God, those were the days.
  - Dad? - Jess pulled at his sleeve while the two were waiting in the queue.
  - Yeah, bud? - Sebastian picked him up, already understanding the signs of whenever he wanted to be held.
  - I ... The baby’s not coming for a while, right?
  - Why, Jessie? What did Marion say?
  - She didn’t say anything ... uhm, it’s gonna be three of us now.
  - Yeah. We’re gonna get a new big place, we can even get a dog or a cat. You always wanted a cat, didn’t you?
  - But, now I’m third.
  - What do you mean? - Sebastian furrowed his brows at the comment.
  - Well, when Marion was a baby you and mummy were always with her but she’s still a baby and now there’s a new baby, so I’m gonna be third. - Sebastian’s heart broke at that comment. Now it made sense. - And ... you’re not home a lot and mummy is gonna be busy with the baby.
  - Hey, you’re not third. - he rubbed his son’s back, kissing the side of his head, soothing him to the best of his ability. - You want me to be home more?
  - No, daddy ... you like doing music.
  - Hm ... how about you come to the studio with me when you don’t have school?
  - Really? But you said I’m too little.
  - Well, you’re gonna be a big brother again, I think it’s time.
  - Really?
  - Yeah. - he smiled him, his smile reflecting back at him.
  - Faye.
  - What?
  - We should name the baby Faye.
  - Faye? You want your baby sister to be named Faye?
  - Yes.
  - Well ... Faye it is.

Hi howdy ho neighborino! I’ve been reading some of your fics and I love them! I was wondering if you could write something where the farmer has married Harvey but Harvey gets jealous of the other bachelors that farmer has high friendship with angst. I saw the flowers fic and I thought it was super cool but it would be cute for things to work out in the end
Okay so for this one, I saw the perfect opportunity to do a little snippet of how my Harvey x Reader book is going to be. It’s not gonna be anything directly from the book but it will give you a pretty good idea as to how everything will be written.
Also, for the sake of Sam can’t pick out a name for his band, I’m going to use the name of my Uncle’s former band (I got his permission, don’t worry). This will be important.
I did kind of incorporate flowers into this as well. Gotta have the flowers prompt with a good ending too, right?
I also apologize. The pacing for this is a bit rushed and there isn’t much Harvey at the beginning but you’ll see why.
This was the last thing you expected. It had been years since you had been to the city. Yet here you were.
“You ready for this (y/n)?” Sam asked you, seeming to be pretty pumped up.
“Always!” You replied, brushing your hair out of your face.
You looked beside you at the equipment. It was just the mics and guitars, the rest being among the other band members. For once, you were nervous. The last time you performed in the city, you had made a fool of yourself. You silently hoped no one remembered as it was the reason you ended your musical career.
Abigail suddenly tapped your shoulder from the seat beside you, leaning into the isle and waiting for you. You quickly snapped out of your little trance and leaned to her, feeling like a teenager back in high school again.
“What’s up?” You asked.
“Are you and Harvey okay? I didn’t see him talk to you when we were loading up and he’s all the way in the back.” She asked you.
You took a quick glance back to the crowd of townsfolk on the bus. Sure enough, there he was, the very back of the bus, by himself. He looked to be bored as he stared out the window.
“I mean, he’s been very meh lately with talking to me, but I’ve also been practicing with you guys a lot for the past couple months to prepare for this.” You looked back at her. “He wasn’t happy when I said I offered to sit with the equipment to make sure it didn’t break on the way there.”
Abigail looked to Harvey and then quickly back to you. “Shit. He saw me looking.”
“So, (y/n), I was thinking, maybe we could perform one of your old songs?” Sam suddenly interrupted.
You and Abigail both looked to him. It didn’t take long to realize that, not just Sam, but Abigail and Sebastian were looking at you now. They had been talking about this for a while and had been practicing when you weren’t around.
“Wh..which one?” You asked, a little nervous.
“We won’t tell you until the end. That’s when we want to perform it!” Sam smiled brightly.
Abigail grabbed your hand. “Pleeeeease! It’s a good one!”
You sat back in your seat and let out a breath. Harvey had only heard you sing a select few times, but to hear one of your old songs with how he’s been acting. It just wasn’t a good idea...But it was just a song, right?
“What the hell, let’s do it.” You suddenly said, looking at your guitar case beside you. “But just one!”
All three of them fist pumped and looked to Pam, who was giving them a dirty look. Luckily, they had arrived at the spot they would be performing so they had a valid excuse to leave.
“Alright you four! Get your stuff and get off the bus!” Pam grumpily said in a semi-joking manner.
“Don’t gotta tell me twice.” You mumbled to yourself and grabbed as much equipment as possible. Kent and Demetrius helped get everything off the bus and onto the stage. Everyone riding was going to have some fun in the city until the concert, aside from a select few who would stay and help set up. Harvey was not one of them.
“Alright, (y/n), once we get set up, do you mind doing your thing while we check equipment?” Sam asked.
“Sure! I know none of you will sing into the mics to test them so I might as well.” You jokingly replied, taking off your hoodie to show the upper half of your band outfit. It was a bit revealing but nothing super intense. It also hugged your body fairly well. “Let’s get this going so we can get this show on the road!”
All three of your bandmates cheered. This was big for all of you. Sure, you’d had a few decent sized crowds in bars before, but this was a whole new thing. You were about to perform on a stage! A real stage! There weren’t just going to be drunk men and weird girls! There were going to be hundreds of people! Even your husband was going to be there!
...Harvey…
“Hey! Come on, you gotta help me with the mics.” Sam suddenly said, snapping you out of your thoughts. The sky had darkened a bit but not too much. Just enough to notice that time had passed.
“O-oh! Sorry! I got distracted.” You said and walked to your mic. “Just let me know when you have them all on.”
Sam nodded and went to the little booth, turning all the mics on and muting all but yours. “Good to go! Abigail, Sebastian, you know the routine.”
The three of you nodded and began the process. You had done this many times back at home. You had performed some of your more family friendly music during the events through the year, and of course, this meant you had set up the mics before.
So there you were. The middle of Zuzu City. The crowd began to form as your singing began to test the mics. Even though it sounded weird since you had to move from mic to mic, it still sounded good. You didn’t know that your husband was listening though. And the song you were singing was hitting him like a ton of bricks. Memories...Was he nothing but a memory now?
Soon enough, the time came. The crowd stood in front of the stage, the townsfolk among them. You couldn’t seem to spot your husband though, but you knew he was out there. Perhaps the lights were making you unable to see him. They were already affecting your vision.
“Hello everyone!” Sam spoke. “We are from Pelican Town!” He seemed to be oddly confident, something that everyone in town knew wasn’t right, especially for a first big performance like this. “And we are the Block Party Massacre!”
And just like that, everything began. Everyone began to play their instruments and you sang. The crowd cheered and clapped after each song. Once you reached the final song, you nearly cried. Some of the people in the crowd began to sing along. It brought back memories and it truly touched your heart to know that  your fans still remembered your songs.
But, like everything else, the concert came to an end. You helped get everything cleaned and loaded up before looking around. At last second, you saw Harvey getting on the bus. Immediately you went to Abigail.
“Hey, you mind sitting with the equipment? I...I think I should sit with Harvey.” You asked her.
“Sure! Just, go easy on him. He looked pretty hurt, especially during the last song.” She replied.
You simply gave a nod and hurried over to the bus. You took a breath before getting on and looking at the seats. Harvey was still in the same place, the very back. You made your way back there, slowly sitting beside him. He jumped a bit, seeming to have been in his own world.
“O-oh. Hi.” He said when he realized who had sat beside him.
You offered a smile. “Hi my love. Did you have fun?”
Harvey just gave you a look. Not one of love nor hate. More like hurt. Out of instinct, you gently grabbed his hand, turning your body to face him.
“Harvey. Look at me.” You said softly. “What’s wrong? You’ve been like this since I started practicing with them.”
The doctor looked at you for a minute and then to your hands. He wanted to say so much but his anxiety ridden mind wouldn’t let him.
“Do you love me?” He suddenly asked after a few short moments.
You offered a soft smile and rested your head on his shoulder. Was that why he was making a big fuss?
“Of course I do! I wouldn’t have married you if I didn’t. What made you think I didn’t?”
“You...You just never talked to me and you always got home late and you were so close with Sam a-and Sebastian and Abigail an-”
“Harvey.” You placed a finger on his lips as you looked back up at him. “You are the only one I love. I tried making you breakfast and dinner but you always let it sit out. I tried to talk to you but you always ignored me. I thought you were pushing me away, so I started opening up my schedule to practices. That’s what I’ve been doing the past few months.”
The doctor didn’t know what to say.
“Answer me this; would I ever want to leave you, my comfy pillow and cuddle bug, for Sam?” You poked his belly for emphasis on the pillow part. “You are everything I wanted and more. Hell, I didn’t even know what I really wanted until I met you.”
“But...The song…”
“I wrote that a long time ago. Didn’t you hear? People were singing along. How would they know a song the band wrote if they had never heard it before?” You chuckled a little bit and hugged him.
“I…” Harvey slowly wrapped his arms around you. “I guess that is true.” His grip tightened slightly, but not enough to hurt you. “I’m sorry.”
“Hey. It’s fine. We can cuddle when we get home. That always cheers you up.” You said happily. “Just, please communicate with me next time. I don’t want you to be hurt like this. It hurts my heart.”
He kissed the top of your head, looking up when he heard the bus start up. “Yeah...I’m sorry. I’ll do better next time.”
And with that, you two headed home.
BONUS
The fire crackled as you rested on the couch. It was a rather peaceful night, the sky clear and the animals not too loud. Crickets could be heard if you listened closely, but you didn’t want to listen to them. You would rather listen to something else.
“(Y/n), are you certain you’re comfortable?” Harvey asked, a hand rested on your back. The other held a glass of wine that he’d been sipping on. “You don’t look to be.”
“Oh trust me Harvey, I am.” You assured your husband, nuzzling a bit against his belly as your arms slightly tightened their grip around his waist to indicate a hug. “I am always comfortable when I lay on my pillow.”
He blushed and took another sip of his wine before setting the glass on the side table. He was half laying on the couch, you on top of him. On the coffee table in front of you was a vase that contained a small bouquet of flowers. He had made it for you once you two had gotten home as an apology for his behavior. In return, you gave him some of your finest wine that you had planned on selling to make up for everything.
“I love you Harvey. Don’t ever forget it.” You half whispered, looking up at him.
The doctor couldn’t help but smile back, his face still red. “I love you too (y/n).”
“I will never forget it.”

The Neighbour [1.6]
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Trigger Warning: fluff, just lots of fluff, and Emerson being a cranky bitch in the morning 😅
Water spattered across the ground, collecting soap suds and bubbles and taking it down the brief journey to the waterfall down the sewer grate. Remington gripped the nozzle of the hose, grumbling to himself when he saw sparing spots of dirt left in the crevices of his car wheels. He squeezed the spring on the hose, unleashing another blast of cold water that ricocheted off the metal and splattered over Eva while she relathered the mitt in the soap bucket.
"Hey!" she nearly jumped out of her skin from the shock, and despite the heat the cold wasn't a welcomed surprise.
"Sorry, babe," Remington chuckled sheepishly, continued to spray down the tires and aiming the nozzle away from Eva, "I didn't think getting dirt off tires was going to be a chore in itself,"
Eva shrugged, wiping the droplets off her skin and she started lathering the roof of his 69 Mustang with the wash mitt, "Well, you wanted to try hand-washing the car instead of... you know... taking it to a car wash," she pointed out, "The big spinny brushes and rollers make it look easy,"
"But this is a classic car!" he replied, "All the experts say you have to hand-wash classic cars. They're too delicate for the big machinery. Besides, this is a fun summer thing to do; wash a car on our own,"
Eva smirked, "You also just like seeing me in a bathing suit. That's why you asked for my help, right?"
"Obviously," Remington nodded with a smirk of his own, "But you didn't get the memo," he motioned to her grey t-shirt and shorts.
"Well, why aren't you in a bathing suit, then?" she asked, pressing against the driver door to reach the middle of the roof.
Remington glanced at his own muscle tee and shorts, shrugging nonchalantly, "These are my swim shorts. Would it make you feel better if I took my shirt off?"
Eva rolled her eyes, "Wash the dirt out of the tires, Rem," she shook her head, grinning regardless.
He did as he was told for a brief moment, waiting until Eva came back around with the bucket before "accidentally" splashing her with the water. She froze at the impact, the mitt splattering across the ground and her jaw fell open from the shock. Remington feigned innocence, tittering under his breath.
Annoyed, Eva grabbed the soapy mitt and tried to whack him with it in retaliation, sparking an all out water fight between them. More water splashed across the road and the soap bucket was within an inch of its life from being knocked over, and the echo of their laughter carried through the normally quiet and distant neighbourhood.
A woman a few houses over had popped out to hang her laundry on her clothes line, and upon hearing the commotion glanced down the street, in shock and awe to find a young couple goofing off with a hose and a soap mitt. She smiled with endearment, the infectious and overwhelming joy the two of them radiated was something that was definitely missing from this tragic year.
Remington dropped his hose and made a grab for Eva, sweeping her off her feet and placing her on the hood of the car. Her excitement had drained into quiet, nervous giggles, her hair and clothes near fully soaked in water, and surely he looked just as much of a mess as she did. He brushed her wet hair from her face with his cold fingers, her lips still radiating warmth as he kissed her, neither of them caring that they were packing the PDA.
"You bitch, I just washed my hair," she chuckled against his lips, trying to feign annoyance and failing miserably.
He smirked in that devilish manner that he knew drove her wild, "I'll just have to clean you up,"
There was a sudden loud scraping noise, and from the front window upstairs Emerson stuck his head out, clearly having just rolled out of bed as his hair was a messy nest and his eyes were heavy.
"Hey!" he called down to them, "You're supposed to be washing the car! Not each other!"
Remington glared up at him, "Well, that's going to come after!" he called back.
"Rem!" Eva smacked his chest.
"Did you just wake up?" Remington asked his brother, "It's after eleven!"
"Why are you surprised at this point? You should be worried if I don't sleep in," Emerson rolled his eyes, "Just don't have sex on the car! We don't want to be those neighbours,"
Eva's face went bright red, "Go back to bed, Emerson!"
The younger drummer shrugged, going to close his window, "You don't have to tell me twice,"
Remington just shook his head as the bedroom window was shut and the curtains drawn, "That kid sleeps more than a fucking koala,"
Eva chuckled as she jumped back onto the road, "Well, c'mon. Break time's over and the tires won't clean themselves,"
The Mustang was finally cleaned -- and Remington made good on his promise to help Eva "clean" up. It went without saying that Eva was a little more open to shower sex after that afternoon. She finished tying back her wet hair into a short ponytail, blushing in the mirror when she saw the faint discoloration spots on her neck. It wasn't just the hickeys that put her in a good mood, it was the sparkle in her eyes, the flush in her chest, the all around happiness that exuded through her from the folds of her ears to the ends of her toes.
Her phone began to vibrate on the counter where she'd left it, and she rolled her eyes once again when she saw the Blocked Caller ID pop up. She declined the call.
Her bare feet swept across the cold hardwood floor as she ventured back into the bedroom. Remington was sat on his bed, his guitar in his lap and his phone by his leg. The curtains were drawn back, letting in a beautiful hue of natural blue and white light that filled the atmosphere. When he heard her just outside his door, Remington quickly closed the Notes app on his phone and shoved it under his leg.
Eva sauntered in, glowing as she usual in her now dried shorts and top that had tumbled in the dryer earlier. She took a brief glance out the window, smiling at the sparkling visage of the 69 Mustang on the boulevard.
"Sick ride," she commented.
Remington grinned, "You'd think it was cleaned by professionals," he replied, shifting over as she came to sit beside him. He smelled of his rich shower gel and shampoo, the pink now fading in his ever growing hair, unspiked and swooping just over his forehead. She reached up to run her fingers through the back, scratching gently at his scalp and he closed his eyes and leant into her touch.
"It's getting longer," she smiled warmly.
"I think I'm gonna' grow it out," he said, brushing his own finger through the front, "Last time I had long hair, the school made me cut it off or they'd kick me out,"
Eva rolled her eyes, "Let me guess, you went to Catholic school,"
"Christian. But close enough," he nodded, "How do you feel about vampires with long hair?"
"The same way I feel about vampires with pink hair," she said, reaching up to kiss the tip of his nose.
Remington brushed his fingers through her own hair, the ends coming to stop at the edge of her jaw, "Would you ever grow your hair out?" he asked.
Eva shrugged, "Maybe. But I like it shorter, anyway. It's easier," and she glanced over at the guitar, quick to change the subject, "What are you working on?"
"Just practicing," he plucked dully at the tight strings.
"No new songs?"
"Not yet," meanwhile, the phone under his leg seemed to burn a hole through his shorts, "You ever play the guitar?" and she shook her head, "You want to learn?"
"Sure," she smiled. Remington sat up against the headboard, moving the guitar so she could sit comfortably in his lap. Resting the guitar on her crossed legs, Remington placed his hands over Eva's, kissing her shoulder briefly and he started running through basic chords.
By the better part of half an hour, Eva had the novice knowledge to play the chorus to Ma Chérie. She played with admirability, despite the growing pain of blisters on her fingers. And she certainly wasn't as skilled at Remington or Sebastian, drawing out wonky melodies with frequent pauses in between. Remington found her all the more adorable with every whispered curse that flew out from her lips when she messed up or missed a note.
"You make it look too easy," she whined, pouting as she set the guitar down.
Remington chuckled as she moved out of his lap, curling up on the pillow and staring up at him with her big blue eyes, "You giving up?" he asked teasingly.
"I don't give up," she replied, "I just bitch and complain until I'm motivated enough to try again,"
"Just let me know when you want to try again," he smirked as he pulled the guitar back into his lap, strumming a random chord before glancing at her jovially, "Any requests, my darling?"
She shrugged as she thought it through, tucking her knees to her chest with a giddy smile, "I want you to play me the most romantic Palaye song you can think of," she decided.
"And here I was about to tear into Massacre," he chuckled again, not having to think on the request hard as the perfect song came to mind. Eva watched with intrigue as he readjusted the guitar and the soft twanging melodies drifted from the pass of his fingers over the strings, clearing his throat as he sang in time with the gentle, familiar tune of Stay.
And Eva couldn't have picked a better song.
"I see you for what you are
It's something in your eyes That look past my scars So where do you go when you leave in the night?
'Cause I see those teary eyes"
She stayed still as a stone, just listening, feeling, get lost in his baritone that struck her ears and whittled into her bones, shuddering against the cage of her heart. Her eyes climbed the expanse of his chest exposed by his unzipped hoodie, tracing the ink of his tattoos as sure as she would with her fingers, memorizing him from the drawl in his voice to the small dips in his muscle.
"I am the only hope for you
You are the only hope for me too I just wanted you I just wanted you
So stay this time
So stay This time
This time"
Remington couldn't bring himself to look at her while he sang. He had done it before, at the album party, in the car, he had sung to her plenty of times. This felt different somehow, the promise of a song he wrote well over a year ago striking an important chord with him. Just being with Eva felt like hope, like he had certainty that he would never have to stray back into the dark places his mind would burrow so long as he was drawn to her light. As long as she would stay with him.
Eva lifted her head from the pillow, watching him with those stormy blue eyes and that stunning smile that made his heart rattle within his chest. The music went quiet as they locked eyes, the guitar forgotten entirely as he pulled her into his lap and caught her in a searing kiss, her fingers twisting in his hair and her lips tasting of her sweet lip balm. He could never let her go, for surely he would never be the same if he lost her. And when he pulled back to stare into those beautiful big eyes of her, the adoration, the sheer love reflecting back was enough for Remington to know that she wasn't going anywhere.
They belonged to each other...

Some Girl ... Part 3
Word Count: ~1.7k
Warnings: None.
// * // * //
Mason smoothed Sebastian’s thick, silky hair and then offered his hand to Shawn. Shawn reached out to shake it, completely caught off guard by what Charlotte had said, although trying not to show it.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Mason said with a cautious smile.
Shawn only nodded his head in response.
“He’s a little nervous about meeting everyone, so why don’t you give us a few minutes.”
“Of course. I’ll bring Bash in,” he said, taking the stroller from her hands. “Take your time.”
Shawn reddened more and more with every step Mason took toward the house. The moment he shut the door behind them, Shawn turned on Charlotte, understandably upset.
Before he could even open his mouth, Charlotte held up her hands in a placating manner. “I swear, I had no idea I was going to say that, and I’m sorry. I wouldn’t blame you for storming off right here, right now, but please, just hear me out.”
He didn’t respond, but he also didn’t walk away, so she continued. “You’re going through some shit right now, right?” she said, rhetorically. “Just come in and forget about everything for a few hours. You can snuggle Bash, have a few drinks, eat some fantastic food, - better than you can find in any restaurant, I swear, - play some cards, watch the game, or swim.”
She could see him defuse right before her as she talked.
“We have a pool table, air hockey, and darts, too.”
There was still a tinge of panic in his voice, when he said, “What if they know who I am?!” Wait. Was he honestly considering this? He had wanted more time with Charlotte and Sebastian.
“I would be surprised if they did. Valerie and the twins definitely would have, but they’re not going to be here tonight. Try to avoid playing the guitar or singing, just in case,” she smirked, trying to lighten the mood.
“I haven’t picked up my guitar or have had any reason to sing for a while.”
Her heart plummeted. “Shit. I’m sorry, Shawn,” she said softly. “I didn’t mean to be insensitive.” All she wanted to do was hug him.
So, she did.
He didn’t pull away. Instead, he returned the embrace. She felt and heard him sigh deeply in her arms.
When she ultimately eased away from him, he met her eyes and asked quietly, “What was that for?”
“It looked like you needed it.”
He had. He really had. He didn’t know just how much he had needed it before it happened. He was again surprised at how well she seemed to read him.
“I really should have thought before putting you in this situation. I’d still like you to consider it, as off the wall an idea as it is. I could introduce you with a different name. And if anyone grows suspicious and says to me, ‘he looks like Shawn Mendes’, I’ll just say, ‘I know, eh? Why do you think I let him into my bed?’”
He laughed then. It was a beautiful sound.
“You don’t really look like the Shawn the public is used to anyway.”
“Gee, thanks.”
“I don’t mean that in a bad way,” she reassured him. “You’re usually a little more...polished. Clean-shaven, perfectly coifed hair, except for maybe that one stray curl that drives all the girls wild,” she teased. “Personally, I find the darker, slightly longer hair and the stubble terribly sexy.” That earned her a little smirk.
Charlotte’s eyes met Shawn’s with as much warmth and hope as possible. “Things will get better, Shawn. It may not feel like it right now, but it will. I promise.”
She reached out to tenderly cup his cheek. “Having your heart completely destroyed fucking sucks, but it will heal, and things will get better.”
Shawn had gone through a myriad of emotions and feelings in the past hour. From apprehension to delight. An unburdening and acceptance. A spark of anger. Surprise, sadness, comfort. A moment of joy, a moment of indignation. And altogether more compassion than he’d gotten from anyone outside of his family and friends.
He hadn’t felt much of anything except devastation and anxiety since he and Camila had split. To feel so much more, so many positive emotions, within such a short amount of time, was invigorating. He stood straighter; his heart felt lighter.
“So, what do you say?”
He licked his lips and bit softly on the bottom one.
“Nobody is going to expect anything of you. They’ll just want to get to know you. I never talk about Booker, - I don’t believe I’ve ever even said his name to them, - so you can say whatever or be whoever you want.”
“They’re going to hate me for not being around for Bash.”
“If it even comes up, tell them you didn’t know until recently, right now even. We ran into each other at the liquor store and, ‘hey, remember me? Surprise, you’re a dad’.
“My family is amazing, I promise. And they’re all starting to gather in the doorway and at the windows,” she laughed. “We should probably head in, if we’re going to.”
He looked toward the house and took a deep breath.
“This might help to get you out of your head.” Before he even comprehended what was happening, her hand was at the nape of his neck and her mouth was against his; a quick, startling press of her lips. Just as his shock melted into response she was pulling away.
“I kinda wanna do that again,” he whispered. It was Charlotte’s turn to be surprised when suddenly he was kissing her back, open-mouthed, and soft-lipped.
Shawn hadn’t felt any sort of spark with anyone since his heart had broken. It felt good, exceptionally good, to kiss and be kissed again.
Their eyes met and they both smiled.
“Come on,” she said. She slipped her hand into his and led him up the front walk.
// * // * //
Stepping through the front door Charlotte called out, “Everyone, this is Peter.” She already expected that Mason would have told them all that he was Sebastian’s dad. “Peter, meet...everyone.”
She met the eyes of her family members, one by one. All eleven of them had gathered in a relatively small area. “I told him you were amazing; don’t prove me wrong. Be nice. He’s actually a really great guy. Now go. We’ll make the rounds. Don’t overwhelm him.”
Most everyone scattered throughout the house, a few spilled into the backyard. Elisa, with Sebastian, Jack, and Mason were the only ones who still stood before them.
“You met Mason outside. He’s my cousin, but he's more like an annoying little brother,” she smirked. He gave her upper arm a gentle shove.
Charlotte introduced Jack next. “This is my uncle Jack.”
“There won’t be a test, don’t worry,” Jack smirked, shaking Shawn’s hand.
“He’s the closest thing I have to a dad, so he may grill you a little.” She looked pointedly at her uncle. “Go easy on him, Jack...
“And holding Bash, of course, - she has trouble sharing him, - is Elisa, my aunt, my second mother.” Elisa smiled and her eyes sparkled. “Yes, he is insanely attractive, but your husband is standing right beside you, so behave.”
They all laughed at that. Shawn blushed, which only made him more appealing, and his heart had flipped a little when Charlotte had said he was ‘insanely attractive’. Okay, so there was a spark on her end too, apparently.
But he wasn’t ready for a new relationship, he reminded himself.
Surprising everyone, Sebastian reached for Shawn. He almost fell out of Elisa’s arms doing so. Shawn caught him easily. “I’m sorry,” he automatically apologized to Elisa, pulling him close and holding him secure. He instinctively dropped a kiss on top of his little head. Sebastian grasped Shawn’s necklace and started babbling happily.
“No honey, you don’t have to apologize,” she said rather dazed and amazed.
Charlotte looked in awe at her son in Shawn’s arms. She missed the look that passed between Elisa and Jack.
To break the hush that had fallen, Jack asked, “So Peter, how do you like your steak?”
“Medium, medium rare.”
Jack clapped Shawn on the shoulder. “Good man.” He then disappeared into the kitchen, Mason following.
“Charlie will show you around. Make yourself at home,” Elisa smiled softly before heading off to the living room.
Charlotte linked her arm through Shawn’s. “Why don’t I get you a drink before you meet everyone else.”
“That sounds like a great idea,” he chuckled and allowed her to lead him further into the house.
// * // * //
By the time the steaks were ready, Shawn had also met Beth and Lyle, Annie, Will and Diana, Josh, Doug, and Rob.
Annie and Beth were Elisa’s best friends. They had also been the best friends of Charlotte’s mother, Emily. The four of them had been practically inseparable their whole lives. Lyle was Beth’s husband. Will was Charlotte’s uncle, - Elisa and her mother’s older brother, - and Diana was Will’s wife. Josh and Doug were Will and Diana’s sons, and Rob was Doug’s best friend.
“I’ll help you remember,” Charlotte whispered to Shawn.
Shawn had thus far had a beer and a shot of tequila. The drinks had helped him relax, but he was taking it easy. He might let himself get pleasantly buzzed later that night, but he didn’t want to get wrecked in the presence of Charlotte’s family.
He may not have been Sebastian’s dad, but he wanted to make a good impression on the people who thought he was, and who had welcomed him into their home.
// * // * //
Dinner was unbelievable, as Charlotte had promised him it would be, and he was satisfyingly full.
The questions that had been asked of him throughout the evening were unobtrusive and considerably basic in nature. Again, as Charlotte had said, they just wanted the chance to get to know him. And like Charlotte, they were easy to talk to. Conversation was fun; he found himself smiling and laughing more than he had in a while.
He noticed Charlotte watching him, and when he smiled or laughed there was a look of pure happiness in her eyes. It made his heart flutter.

Note
hello! i would like ur 40 song wiblur playlist
anon thank you so much for asking <333 while it would’ve been easier to just drop the link i have so many thoughts about everything so i explained why every single song has its spot on this list which was IMMENSELY fun for me
(also: if anyone does want the link i can provide both apple music and spotify but if u would like the apple music link i’d rather it be through dms or an ask off anon that i can make private!)
another also: i bolded all the songs for ease of perusing if you don’t want the director’s commentary and bolded + italicized the ones that i think fit Very Well
another another also: wrote the second bit of this on my laptop and the keyboard is p funky so if there are any typos or things that do not make sense i will try to fix them asap haha
saint bernard by lincoln: this is one of those like. Dream SMP Songs that i added because it fits into so many different relationships and plot lines and arcs but i think there’s some connection to c!wlbur somewhere out there. idk i asked my friend and he said to add it so this one goes out to him
amnesia was her name by lemon demon: ghostbur song ghostbur song! mostly comes from this lovely animatic
o valencia! by the decemberists: okay this is one of those songs that only really has one lyric that fits but is an absolutely banger so it’s here anyway. you’ll also notice a trend of quasi love songs that i relate to c!wilbur’s perception of l’manburg and i think this song shows this in a really cool way, esp with the chorus (‘and i swear to the stars i’ll burn this whole city down’ is The Line)
achilles come down by gang of youths: another one of those Dream SMP Songs. i think this fits better with c!tommy but i like it too much to remove it. this is a somewhat common trend with the earlier songs on this playlist (i’ve been building this thing since january, for reference)
brave as a noun by ajj: another Dream SMP Song. i think certain verses fit better than others when it comes to wilbur’s character but that ones that work really work
harness your hopes by pavement: a song that is one here for vibes alone. i have no idea what these lyrics mean. all i know is that i heard it, thought of c!wilbur, and put it on the playlist. thank you all for being here
evelyn evelyn by evelyn evelyn: sad-ist made this a tommy and tubbo song (as she should) so it’s validity on this playlist is questionable but folks used to compare it to wilbur and tommy’s relationship during the pogtopia arc and i think some points were made there
the execution of all things by rilo kiley: i’m so excited to get here because this was the first song i put on the playlist that i think really works and i thumb nailed an animatic for the last verse and november 16th so! i think it’s a good l’manburg song and the last verse has some good ghostbur lines (‘and lately you’re all alone with nothing left but sleep/but sleep never comes to you, it’s the guilt and forever wakefulness of the weak’)
i’m just your problem from adventure time: this ones a bit tricky since at is my favorite show of all time and i cannot detach this song from its in-show context very well but there is a very cool animatic with this song that landed it a spot on the playlist
man burning by josh ritter: almost became an animatic but the audio i wanted to use (which i recorded at a josh ritter concert and it’s just him and his guitar and there’s echo and it’s very haunting and pretty) has my stepbrother singing in the background and i could not edit it out so. that will probably not happen. but anyways the only hole i would pick in this song is that it’s mostly about self sabotage which isn’t really applicable but i think the imagery is cool
mamma mia by abba: here me out. here me out. this is another song that fits so well and i have spent so many hours thinking about this and somewhere there is a note on my phone explaining how every single line relates to c!wilbur’s entire arc from founding l’manburg to the resurrection (made when we thought gbur was going to get resurrected in january) and just. the metaphorical ‘you’ is l’manburg does this make any sense (another almost animatic except now that wilbur’s actually back it might become an actual animatic)
the other side of paradise by glass animals: no idea why this is here other than being a Dream SMP Song. it’s good tho
infinitesimal by mother mother: they saaaaay it stared with a big bang but they saaaaaaaay it came out of a small thing latelyyyyy i’ve been feeling like a big bang You Know
curses by the crane wives: had a thing drawn out for this song showing the comparisons between c!wilbur and c!niki because of the chorus and i think the last two lyrics of said chorus are the best thing about this one
lonely eyes by the front bottoms: gotta admit that i have no idea how this song got on here but i’ve come to associate it with ghostbur based on vibes alone. it’s a friendly song he’s a friendly ghost it works. the other tfb song coming up fits a bit better methinks
king of new orleans by better than ezra: not to put better than ezra on my c!wilbur playlist but like. something about the whole ‘tasing something up to let it fall’ motif makes me think
get me away from here, i’m dying by belle and sebastian: another almost animatic song (there’s a trend here). not only does the story told in this song work i like the lines ‘play me a song to set me free/nobody writes them like they used to so it may as well be me’ in relation to my l’manburg
montgomery forever by the front bottoms: certain bits and pieces of this song fit so well, specifically the chorus and those bits in the last two choruses Yeah (’montgomery forever and ever and ever and now they’re blowing it up/(x2)/as you started laughing and crying and trying to explain how all you want to do is leave’)
don’t look back in anger by oasis: out of all my almost animatic songs, this one got the furthest. the animatic, which I got pretty far in thumbnailing, was about wilbur and tommy and kind of drawing comparisons between their characters, also about the revolution in general. maybe i’ll finish that animatic one day idk
snow by ricky montgomery: i wish i had a link for this so bad but!! saw art on twitter!! with the lyric ‘bury me six feet in snow’!! and went ahfsdjfk!!
burning pile by mother mother: a Dream SMP Song. also a jam there’s no real specific connection for this one but i think it could fit in a couple of ways
rounds by the oh hellos: in the same position as snow except it was on tumblr..... @ whoever made this comic i saw these lyrics in your brain is massive and your art is incredible
lovely by mt. eddy: on here for vibes alone. there’s something in the lyrical content too, but my thoughts in that regard are not very fleshed out
adventures in solitude by the new pornographers: ah yes..... the song that prompted this all...... this is a beautiful and incredibly well written song and if you’re going to listen to any song off of this playlist i’d encourage you to listen to this one. it’s place of here is mostly cause of the chorus but the imagery in the verses could all represent a part of c!wilbur and i’d love to explore that more
caught in the middle by paramore: obligatory paramore song. i think it got on here because limbo = ‘middle’ but i’m not quite sure. on the verge of being deleted if i can find a better pmore song
delicate by damien rice: one of the oddest songs on this list and i am well aware that it sticks out like a sore thumb. a song that’s on here pretty much because of one lyric, which is ‘and why’d you sing hallelujah/if it means nothing to you’ which i related to both eret’s betrayal and how my l’manburg is hallelujah yknow
bang! by ajr: almost animatic song. i think we all know what the bang is here
somewhere only we know by lily allen: ik i said don’t look back in anger has the most potential to get made into an animatic but this song might actually take it place. on par with adventures in solitude in terms of how pretty of a song it is, and probably even moreso. it’s kind of turned into a ghostbur song in my head, and makes me cry like an infant child every time i hear it
a pearl by mitski: i cannot defend this song’s place on here past the line ‘it’s just that i fell in love with a war and nobody told me it ended’
eight by sleeping at last: the official c!wilbur song needs a spot on here <3 if i can dig up the clip of cc!wilbur talking about this song in relation to his character i’ll add it but until then yeah <3
always by rilo kiley: no idea why this is on here but it fits well!! could not tell you why!! banger!!
celebration guns by stars: it’s a hauntingly beautiful song about war, and kind of one of those that necessarily isn’t about wilbur but moreso his place in the story? idk how to explain it but yes
passerine by the oh hellos: it’s. it’s from the . the fic. yeah h
oh, you are the roots that sleep beneath my feet and hold the earth in place by bright eyes: added this after the real resurrection and i think it’s because fo the imagery? also the last verse
we are beautiful, we are doomed by los campesinos!: all i have to say is ‘i cannot emphasize enough that my body/is a badly designed, poorly put together vessel/harboring these diminishing, so called vital organs/i hope my heart goes first, i hope my heart goes first!’ has always made me think of pogtopia era wilbur :(
dead weight by jack stauber: no real connection other than eret played this song during a break during the ghostbur’s january ‘resurrection’ and i heard it and went :0
point me at lost lands by tired pony: gives me season on l’manburg vibes..... i love how free and passionate it sounds and that's p much the only reason it’s on this list haha
ghosting by mother mother: added this five seconds ago because i could not BELIEVE it was not on here. ghostbur song. mans sang it on that one stream with the reverb and everything. the lyrics ‘i will be kind and i’ll be sweet/if you stop staring straight through me’ hit particularly hard back when everyone thought that ghostbur was actually wilbur in disguise

Three Days ~ 70
Tumblr media
~*~Emma~*~
Sebastian was right. I did like hearing him moan too much. Such a deep, breathy, needy sound. I’m not sure he realized he was making the same sounds as I played guitar. Not as frequent, but still. Seemed only right I should finish what I started. Plus, he’d had a rough day.
I’d gone back to the proposal thing partly to let him off the hook, but more because I didn’t want that to happen. On our second anniversary, I was terrified Jimmy was going to ask me to marry him. My girlfriends had convinced me it was coming. Two years is the time, they said. Thank fuck they were wrong. I didn’t have a problem talking about it and Sebastian had seemed to handle it fine, but I knew the possibility of freaking out was there. Still was. A blow job and a lazy fuck would get his mind in a different place.
After our romp in the guest room, Sebastian pulled me into my bedroom and pushed me on the bed. His smile was lethal as he came for me, kissing from side to side up my body, before laying his very naked body on mine and taking over my mouth. A very long and thorough kiss later he kissed my nose, “Let’s start over at the beginning.”
Over at the beginning meant an extended period of making out, foreplay, him going down on me until I came (twice), and then some very un-lazy intercourse. All followed by collapsing in a sweaty heap. Good times.
Sebastian scooted closer and pushed me to my side where he could wrap around me. A couple of well-placed kisses on the back of my neck had me smiling and making satisfied sounds. I held onto the arms around me and turned my head enough to see him. “I love you.”
“I know you do.” He kissed me as softly as we were speaking. “I love you.”
I smiled, “I know you do.”
“What do you want to do Monday? We should do something.”
I knew exactly what he was talking about. I put my hand on his face and squirmed to turn where we were facing. “We should go on a date. A first date.” A first date to commemorate a month since our first date.
He smiled, “A movie.”
“Something scary so I can hide my face against your chest.” We both laughed, “Gelato after, that place we passed a couple of weeks ago.”
“Pizza before.”
“Sounds perfect.” We kissed and stayed close, breathing and being quiet.
Sebastian took a deep breath and fought a yawn, “Sorry.”
“Please.” We rearranged again and I laid my head on his shoulder, his fingers trailing along my side. “If you want to go for a run or anything before I get up there’s an extra set of keys in the entry table.” This was completely prepping for if our talk resulted in an overnight panic attack. “Wake me up if you want.”
His fingers never stopped moving, “What’s your alarm code?”
“Same as my car code.” I tilted my face up to see him. His blue eyes were drowning me. The soft look, the slight smile. I reached to play in his beard. His smile grew and mine matched it, “Whatever you need, Bastian.”
He shook his head slightly, “Just you.”
I woke up before Sebastian. I propped my head on my hand to watch him sleep. He was on his back with one arm stretched to the side and one on his stomach. The sheet covered midway up his chest. He'd gotten a little sun at his mom's yesterday on his chest and shoulders. I was excited about our beach vacation. Lay on the beach, lay by the pool, play in the pool, play in the ocean, maybe dinner on a yacht at sunset. His face showed no sign of tension and worry. I think what I’m seeing is peaceful relaxation. His cheeks were relaxed, his lips barely parted, and his eyes were twitching behind his eyelids. He was in REM sleep. Dreaming. Lying like this he looked beautiful. I wanted to run my fingers over the indentation of muscles. I wanted to put my lips to his eyelashes to feel their twitch against my lips. Run my fingertips over his shaven cheek, stroke through his beard, run a finger over his pink lips. And when he started to wake I wanted to kiss him. I wanted his first memory of the day, even before he opened his eyes, to be me kissing him.
I didn’t touch. Just watched. The eye movements increased and his face started twitching. Definitely dreaming. A few minutes later I felt like the dream wasn't a pleasant one. I carefully laid my palm on the smooth part of his cheek, barely touching skin, letting my fingertips touch the twitches. As they settled, I applied more pressure, his beard against my palm, using my thumb to caress bare skin on the line of his beard, the contrast felt good against my thumb. Whatever the dream, my touch had calmed it. Sebastian's eyes fluttered enough for me to see the blue. I moved where he could see my eyes too.
His lids lifted for a second and he licked his lips. I crept closer and pressed my awake lips to his sleeping ones. "Good morning, my love."
"Morning." Sebastian closed his eyes again and smiled. "Do that again."
I moved over him, pausing long enough for the arm on his stomach to move around me, before pressing my naked chest to his naked chest. I kissed to the right of his lips, "Good," kiss to the left, "morning," and a solid kiss to his lips, "my love."
I felt the slightest touch of his tongue, "Love waking up with you."
His fingers trailing down my spine made me shiver, "It is nice." My accent came out strong.
Sebastian laughed, "My southern belle." He put his hand on my face. "I love when it sneaks out."
"Just ask and I can conjure up a lovely accent for a weekend or so. If that would make you happy." I laid it on thick.
Sebastian squirmed happily, "Very dangerous."
"Why?" Holding on to the accent.
He shrugged, "I love southern accents. All that time shooting in Atlanta and Savannah was pleasantly painful."
"Did you get in trouble?"
"I tried. Wasn't greatly successful."
“I imagine my southern sisters were uncertain what to do with you. You're very pretty. They'd play with you, but how’s your game?"
He chuckled, "Hit or miss."
"We'll have to go south and see if you can pick me up."
"I like either of those ideas." He kissed me long, "We need to make a list."
"We can do it on the train."
I kissed him again, "Do you want breakfast before we get the train?" We didn't have a solid plan.
Sebastian shook his head, "Not super hungry right now. Just get some coffee and yogurt. You hungry?"
"Not really. Angie and I are going shopping then grabbing lunch." Sebastian had said he needed to work and I hadn't had a day with my best friend in a long time. "I'm guessing doors are at seven. It's at Bowery Ballroom, did I say that?"
"Nope. I was just going to follow you. We can walk."
I raised my eyebrows and shook my head slowly, "Not with the heels I'm wearing tonight."
Sebastian pursed his lips, "That sounds fun."
We showered and I left my hair in a towel until we were ready to go. I was stressing myself with what to pack until I remembered today was shopping. My plan was the black dress I didn't wear to dinner last time, but that could change today. Now, I was really excited.
Thankfully early morning Saturday on the metro north train wasn't busy. My guitar wasn't rush hour friendly. We tucked ourselves at the end with our backs to the rest of the car. Sebastian had easily put our stuff in the overhead bin and I found his lack of struggle sexy as hell. When he sat down, I wrapped around his bicep, "You are so hot."
He cocked his head, looking at me with a smirk, "What did I do? Mostly so I can do it again."
I kissed him chastely, "You put our bags up like they weighed nothing. The way your shirt crept up to show off your stomach. Mmmm."
"Keep being so easily impressed."
"You got it, baby." Thinking of luggage had a question pop up. "Does your building have parking?"
"Yes. My apartment has a spot. Can't remember where." He looked over, "We could have driven."
"Windows open, music turned up, singing loud."
"I'll have to find where it is. Mini road trip would be fun."
"Lots of crazy conversations on a road trip."
"And you peeing on the side of the road."
I glared at him, "You can't forget that for me?"
He shrugged, "Sounds like too much fun. We should take off and drive somewhere. Maine in the fall. Montreal, Toronto. Go to LA and drive up to Seattle."
I pulled out my phone, "We need to make that list" I went into my notes program, opened a new notebook titled “Sebastian”, and started a to do list.
Sebastian looked over my shoulder, "First was blindfolding and tying me to the bed. You want a massage with a happy ending. There were plans to wake each other up with various kinds of sex. A weekend with a very southern accent. Me trying to pick you up. Now a road trip. Beach vacation. We should call Will and Alissa, get together a plan while you’re home with me."
“Sounds good."
Sebastian took my hand to his mouth “Will you tell me what happened Tuesday?"
I had to think back to Tuesday. It seemed a very long time ago. A lot had happened since them. All good.
I smiled and took a deep breath, "Sure.” Most of what mom and I had talked about Sebastian already knew. I just filled in mom's side of the confrontation. "Her "but Amy" when I said she'd hurt me..." I trailed off and waved a hand in front of us. I didn’t know what to say.
Sebastian caught my hand, "That had to have hurt." His face showed a mix of sad and angry.
"Yes." I nodded, "More angry when she said it didn't take anything from me to watch what I say in front of Amy. She missed the whole point, and for real, it does take away from me to pretend I'm not happy. Over time what hell would that do to my self-esteem? If you act like your unimportant you start believing it. My father thinking I'd ever come back and live like that."
He snorted, "Bad idea."
"Very. I told her it wouldn't affect me because I wouldn't let it. Mom thought she'd won and we moved on. As soon as I was off the plane, I called Trevor." I smiled, "He was proud of me. I needed the validation that I wasn't overreacting or being a brat. He reminded me this wasn't really new for them and asked what had changed with me." I leaned closes to kiss him. "Wasn't a hard question. It's you."
"Me?" His smirk said he was enjoying my answer.
"Pretending I'm not happy and in love is my line. I'm not willing to hold that in." I kissed him again. "It's not right they ask me to. They should be happy that I have someone who makes me happy."
Sebastian's expression changed again. This time his eyes brightened and his features softened, "You make me happy too." The back of his fingers caressed my cheek. "Very happy."
If I wasn't already in love with him the way he was looking at me now would do it.
"What do you mean she thought she'd won?"
"The way she smiled she thought I was agreeing with what they wanted me to do. I’d muzzle myself forever because they were afraid for Amy. I’m afraid for Amy too, and I’m not a bitch, but I matter too."
“Refusing to sacrifice yourself for someone who’s not in trouble doesn’t make you a bitch.” He shrugged and I could tell he was weighing his words. “Your mom asking you to does kinda make her one. Sorry.”
I shook my head, “Nothing to be sorry about.”
He smiled, "What does it mean that you won’t let it affect you?"
He's a smart man. I shrugged, "I'm not completely sure. Right now I go back to Alpharetta a couple of times a year. I used to spend two weeks near the end of summer, but I dreaded it, so I started going first to get it over with. Now it’s less than a week. Maybe spring break. As soon as school lets out for winter break I head down and leave for Hawaii Christmas day. I don't think I’m doing that anymore."
He turned his head to the side and looked worried, "What are you going to do?"
“I’ve never not woken up in my parent’s house Christmas morning. Jimmy’s family celebrated Christmas eve so that was never a conflict. I want to spend my holiday with people who want to be with me. Really be with me and let me be happy. I’ll probably go to Hawaii early. I haven’t given it a lot of thought outside of the stink it’s going to create.” I laughed a little.
“I imagine it will.” He laughed then went serious, “You are welcome wherever I am.”
“Thank you.”
“Not a problem.”
“Are you going to Hawaii with me?”
His smile was back, “Just book my flight with yours.”
“What do you do for Christmas?”
“Depends. I’m not a big Christmas person. Sometimes with mom, sometimes with friends. It’s a little early for making plans.”
“A little.” We’d known each other a month and it wasn’t even July. There’d been no reason to talk about this.
Sebastian let go of my hand, put his arm around me, and kissed my head. “I sense you are a big Christmas person.”
“I love Christmas. I love decorations, presents, baking cookies, snow. Not until after Thanksgiving though. I get very excited.” Putting up the tree and setting out my obscene number of snowmen was fun.
“I think we’ll do whatever you want this Christmas. It matters more to you. And if you decide to go to your parent’s house, I’ll follow you there too. Make sure they see exactly how happy you are.”
“You’re the sweetest.” I held my thumb and forefinger an inch apart, “And a little bit petty.”
“More than a little.”

Just an idea I've been playing with.
Area 52
It all started with a wolf's howl that pierced the night and one man with a camera. One who just so happened to enjoy exploring the desert area around his home during the night and especially during a full moon.
He'd heard the howl and, thinking perhaps one of the wolves had escaped from the zoo two hours away, decided to investigate. What he found, however, was far worse.
When he saw it, and at that only from a distance, he managed to catch it on camera. It looked like a very large dog, but moved faster and jumped farther than any dog should be able to. The footage wasn't very good of course, but it was enough to warrant an investigation from Fact or Faked after it was submitted.
When they investigated, they discovered the thing to be real–especially when it came near their camp, barking and growling to scare them off.
Shortly after, the government swept in, claimed it was all a top secret experiment, swore them all to secrecy, and the footage was never aired.
This brings us to a small abandoned gas station in the middle of a Colorado desert. Or so it appears, anyway, for if you were to wander inside, during the middle of the night on a full moon and stand silently near the back, close to the refrigerators, you'd hear the faint sounds of someone playing a guitar. And if you were to follow the sound, it would lead you to the very last door in the far corner of the building. Were you to open the door and press your ear to the back panel, the sounds would suddenly become much clearer and the door, for that's what the panel secretly is, would open–if you had the security clearance of course. Once through the door, you'd follow the staircase down, down, down until you reached another door and another security checkpoint. Once through that door, you'd find the whole of Area 52.
The sounds of guitar playing would now be joined by the sounds of someone singing and if you were to follow the sound, you'd find a man, a janitor to be more specific, sitting outside one of the cells, playing his guitar and singing to the thing inside.
Moving closer to the cell, you'd see a fairly large wolf lying on the floor, her tail thumping occasionally as she listens.
Aaron, for that was his name, reaches the end of his song and stops. When the wolf doesn't move, he carefully begins to pack his guitar away again.
She opens her eyes again at that moment and gets to her feet, barking loudly at him.
"Ah, come on, Tala," he says. "It's 2 in the morning and I'm tired."
She barks again.
He sighs. "Can I at least go get some coffee?"
She huffs, laying down on the floor again and resting her head on her paws.
"Thank you," he says before setting his guitar down and heading off, returning a few minutes later with a cup of coffee. He takes a sip as he sits down again and picks up his guitar.
"What do you want to hear next?" he asks as he sets the cup on the floor next to his chair. "'I Hold On,' Dierks Bentley?"
Tala growls softly.
"Alright how about 'Lovin' You is Fun,' Brett Eldridge?"
She growls again.
"Okay." He falls silent for a moment, thinking. "'I Don't Dance,' Lee Brice?"
Tala huffs and Aaron nods.
"'I Don't Dance' it is." He strums a few chords. "I can't do this one so well, so don't get mad at me if I screw up."
She only huffs again, making him smile as he starts playing.
"I'll never settle down
That's what I always thought
Yeah, I was that kind of man
Just ask anyone
I don't dance
But here I am
Spinning you round and round in circles
It ain't my style
But I don't care
I'd do anything with you anywhere
Yeah you've got me in the palm of your hand, girl
'Cause I don't dance."
As Aaron sings, he remembers when he'd first seen Tala. She'd been in a cage covered in a sheet, her howls echoing through the base.
He'd found out later that they'd tried tranquilizing her, but that hadn't worked and what had ensued was a heart pounding chase until she'd eventually been cornered and caged.
The sheet had been pulled away and he'd caught his breath.
Her fur was mostly white with gray tips and her eyes were as blue as ice. As a wolf, she was twice as big as an ordinary one and twice as strong.
Moments later the full moon had set and she'd changed, becoming human. If she'd stunned him as a wolf, she shocked him senseless as a human. She was slight with a soft face framed by shoulder length pale blond hair. Her eyes were just as blue as they had been when she was a wolf and filled with fear. He hadn't known her then, but he'd felt sorry for her all the same.
Sylvia, the lead scientist, had tried to take a blood sample, but been held off by the slight girl who was much stronger than she looked. It had taken three men just to hold her still and at that barely long enough for her to get the sample. Aaron still wasn't sure if it was because she was a werewolf or because she'd been scared.
If Syl hadn't still needed a sample of her as a wolf, they might have let her go then. But as it was, they wouldn't be able to do so until she shifted again during the next full moon. But it had come around and she hadn't let anyone get near her and no amount of men had been able to hold her still.
They'd tried different methods in the months following, but nothing had worked. So there she remained, trapped in her cell.
As each full moon came and went, she howled and barked all through the night, driving General Sebastian crazy until Aaron had come through one night singing one of his songs.
She'd immediately fallen silent and the General had instantly appointed him the task of keeping her quiet.
"I thought you hated country music," Aaron had said.
"I'll take your blasted singing over that animal's racket any day," he'd replied, so here Aaron sat during each full moon.
He finishes the song and seconds later, Tala takes human form again. The moon had finally set.
He studies her as she gets to her feet and moves over to her cot.
"You could let them you know."
"What?" Tala asks as she sits down.
"Let them have the sample."
She shakes her head. "They'd put a tracker in me and follow me around the rest of my life. I couldn't take that."
He puts his guitar back in the case. "They won't let you go until they get it," he says.
She doesn't respond right away. "I know," she says softly.
"Won't you at least think about it?" he asks. "Having them follow you around all the time has to be better than being cooped up in here forever."
Tala sighs and nods. "I'll think about it," she promises.
During the next full moon as Aaron cuts through the lab on his way to Tala's cell with his guitar, he's stopped by Professor Sylvia.
"That won't be necessary tonight, Aaron," she says.
"What?" he asks. "Why?"
"She's agreed to give us the sample," comes the reply.
Aaron stands unmoving for a moment, unsure whether to be disappointed or relieved.
"Can I watch?" he asks finally.
"Sure. As long as you stay out of the way."
He nods, setting his guitar against the wall before following the Professor to Tala's cell. The full moon is already up and the wolf inside watches everyone calmly.
Aaron studies her. She didn't look resigned or even defeated. She looked.....determined.
All at once the realization slams into Aaron. She was going to try and escape.
"Uh..General," he says, approaching him.
Tala's gaze swings to him and she growls low in her throat. Aaron looks over at her, faced with the decision of revealing her plan or keeping silent.
"Yes?" General Sebastian asks.
"Uh......good luck, sir," Aaron says.
The General rolls his eyes.  "We don't need luck," he says.
"Of course, sir. Sorry, sir."
"How many times have I told you, 'Never–'"
"'Apologize. It's a sign of weakness," Aaron says. "Yes, sir."
"And don't you forget it," Sebastian says, turning to watch as Sylvia puts in the code to Tala's cell.
Aaron watches Tala as her muscles tense, ready to move.
Sylvia leaves the door open slightly as she turns to take the syringe held out to her by one of her assistants. In that moment, Tala pounces.
She springs forward, shoving the door open and knocking Sylvia over.
A few of the guards try to move in toward her, but she's ready for them, moving quickly away and racing for the door.
The door that only opened via handprint scanner.
She tries forcing it open, but she only bounces off again, her right front leg buckling as she hits the floor making Aaron wince. That had hurt.
The guards rush toward her but she gets to her feet again, growling a warning.
They pause until one manages to gather his courage and move toward her again. She lunges forward, her jaws snapping shut on his arm.
He screams in pain as the bone in his arm shatters. Tala releases him and he retreats, holding his injured arm close to his body.
The rest of the guards are a little more hesitant to advance now.
General Sebastian sighs. "We don't have time for this! Just shoot it!"
They obey, drawing their weapons and taking aim.
"No! Stop!" Aaron yells, placing himself between the guns and Tala. "Just let me talk to her. Please."
Sebastian sighs once more. "Make it quick."
Aaron turns to look at Tala. "It doesn't have to be like this if you'd just–"
She growls, shaking her head.
"They won't let you go until you do," he says. “It's impossible to get out of here on your own."
She looks at him. Then help me, her eyes seem to say.
Aaron hesitates. He knew his handprint would open the door for her.
He nods. "Okay," he says before pressing his hand to the scanner.
The light turns green and she rushes through the open door and he follows, jamming the door shut behind him to delay the others.
She races ahead of him up the stairs, taking them in giant leaps of almost 10 at a time. He follows much more slowly, finding her waiting for him at the top as the door finally opens far below them.
Aaron opens the second door for her, breathing hard, and she slips past him into the abandoned station full of empty shelves, heading for the front door and the broken windows. All that remained between her and freedom.
"Tala," he says, and she pauses, looking back at him. "Good luck."
She bobs her head once in a nod before bounding out of sight. He leans against the door frame, catching his breath until General Sebastian and the guards reach him.
"Where is she?!" Sebastian demands.
"Gone," Aaron says.
The General punches a nearby wall, cursing. "You're fired!"
They head silently back downstairs and Aaron stands for a moment longer in the stillness.
A moment later a wolf's howl echoes across the moonlit desert and he smiles before following the others, shutting the door behind him again.
A Few Years Later
Aaron drives up the narrow moonlit mountain road, nursing a hot cup of coffee in an effort to keep sleep at bay. The horizon was already growing lighter and in a few minutes the full moon would be completely set.
He always thought about Tala on these nights, wondering where she was and if she was doing okay.
He suddenly gasps and slams on the brakes of his pickup as he rounds a bend and sees a massive wolf standing in the middle of the road. The animal hardly looks up at him, staring at something on the ground in front of it and it takes Aaron a moment to take in the coiled up snake barely 4 feet away from it.
He climbs out of his truck, hearing the rattle of the snake's tail.
The wolf still doesn't move. Aaron sighs, reaching under his seat for the pistol he kept there. You never could be too safe living in Colorado.
He shakes his head, forcing himself awake as he uses two hands to aim. He pulls the trigger and the shot echoes through the forest.
The wolf collapses in relief as the bullet tears through the snake's head, killing it instantly.
Aaron rushes over, afraid he'd missed and hit the wolf instead. He stops as the moon sets and the wolf before him shifts, becoming human. He takes in her pale blond hair and the ice blue eyes.
"Tala?" he says.
She looks up at him for the first time. "Aaron?"

Steve plays guitar and only Bucky knows
Fandom & Character: Marvel (MCU); Captain America/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye/Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner)
Pairing(s): (suggested) Captain America/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) x 1st person reader; Clintasha (non-romantic)
Word/page count: 1200+ words
CW/TW: none I noticed
Summary: Reader hears Steve playing guitar and offers to be his vocalist ft. an Ed Sheeran song.
Author’s note: This is based on an imagine / headcanon type thing I’ve lost in the internet over time. I wrote this when I was in grade...9?...ish. I mention it because I don’t like it much in hindsight.
It'd been yet another day of intense training. Natasha and Clint were in charge of planning and coaching the torturous activities for me. Target practice, boxing, sparring and flexibility training were included in my morning 'workout'. I walked through the tower, past the living quarters of the avengers, who I looked up to and aspired to be like. As I turned a corner, I almost bumped into an, unusually cheerful, James Barnes.
"Hey." He acknowledged.
"Hi" I gave him a tired smile.
"How's the training going?" He must be in a pretty good mood, he usually doesn't seek conversation, specifically with me.
"I know I shouldn't complain about having such an awesome opportunity, I mean; I'm training, and living with the Avengers, but Lord knows this is draining me." I stretched my back sideways, I was sure to be hella stiff the next day. James chuckled. Okay, he's probably the happiest he's been since he returned from that mission where they destroyed a HYDRA based he'd been trained in. I'd have to bring it up with Steve.
"I assume you're referring to training with a couple ex-assassins." He smirked.
"I swear, Clintasha are going to kill me in the gym downstairs before I see my first mission with either S.H.I.E.L.D or you guys."
"Clintasha?" He looked at me quizzically. Had I said that aloud?
"Ugh, Hawkeye and Black Widow. Please don't tell them about that nickname. I find it easier to refer to them like that considering they're pretty much always together." He smiled.
"Sure, I'd prefer to postpone your apparent inevitable doom. You make good food." He walked off chuckling and shaking his head then saying ‘Clintasha’ and laughing louder.
I continued my journey to the destination shower when I heard a familiar set of chords being played on an acoustic guitar. It definitely wasn't the original song, or any other recorded version of it for that matter, based on the pauses between strums and small mistakes that appeared occasionally.
G, C, G, G, C and C. The appropriate rests were in between each strum which were each their specific length to play the fun, quick paced song that Ed Sheeran gave to the world. It was being played slowly, as if the musician was unfamiliar with the song.
A couple of repetitions of the first verse later and the soft hum of the melody could be heard as the guitarist added sound to where the lyrics would be sung. I quietly sang the lyrics as I neared the source of the music.
"It's late in the evening, glass on the side, I've been sat with you for most of the night." I reached the closed door separating the world from the beautiful sound resonating from inside the room.
"I need you darling, come on set the tone, if you feel you're falling won't you let me know."
I took the chance and knocked on the door to the room of one of the Avengers, I was about to find out who.
The song stopped, I could hear some shuffling, then footsteps on the wooden floor approaching the door.
It opened to a slightly flustered Steve Rogers, probably a bit embarrassed by the possibility of him being caught playing an Ed Sheeran song.
"Oh, I was expecting...never mind. How can I help you?" He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Actually, I was wondering if I could help you, sir." I suddenly became incredibly shy, fiddling with my fingers and lowering my head in the presence of the beautiful piece of man in front of me. My role model and superior.
"I believe you may want a vocalist? Quality playing deserves to have a melody accompany it, don't you think?" I was certain to be blushing by now.
"You sing?" He smiled. I nodded.
"I took lessons before I got involved with S.H.I.E.L.D, participated in a few national competitions actually, I was asked to be the lead vocalist when my friend started a band too. I'd be glad to practice with you if you'll take me." I shrugged.
"You know, I'd really appreciate the help." He started heading back into his room before turning back to me.
"On one condition." His face was stern.
"Name it." I smiled.
"No one finds out. Neither of us would ever be able to live it down if anyone finds out, especially Tony." He picked up a classic wooden acoustic guitar.
"I assume we won't be performing for anyone then." I smirked.
"Absolutely not." He chuckled.
----------
We'd gone through the song about five times when the door flew open revealing an otherwise occupied James Barnes.
"There's this song I thought you'd....oh." He looked up to see Steve holding his guitar and me holding a Stark-Pad for the both of us to see.
"I see you finally took my advice, Stevie." He smirked placing his hand on his hip almost sassily.
"No one finds out, huh?" I quipped, surprised.
"Only Bucky knows." He shrugged questioning whether or not I'd accept that as a reasonable excuse.
"Okay." I shrugged.
"What advice?" I asked James.
"To get someone to teach him how to really play."
"Really?  You think I know how to play guitar, actually, more importantly: you think Captain Rogers needs a teacher." I was baffled, he got that song down in under ten repetitions.
"Omg, please don't call me that. It makes me feel old." I laughed. They looked at each other confused, which only made me laugh harder.
"Really?" I managed to stop laughing.
"Modern acronyms don't suit you, first off; and secondly, it makes you feel old? Seriously?" I looked between the 90 something year olds, the one desperately trying to stifle his laughter while waiting for the other to understand.
"Oh, you mean because I am old." James sighed and covered his face with his hands. I just smiled and shook my head.
"This is why you fail so miserably at communicating with Tony, buddy." Bucky walked off chuckling and muttering ‘old man’ to himself.
"From the top?" I asked, walking back to where the lyrics were being displayed from the tablet at the foot of Steve's bed.
"Miss Y/L/N? I believe you are due for another round of training." J.A.R.V.I.S.' voice sounded, causing me to groan.
"Can you let Miss Romanoff and Mr Barton that I'll be down once I've returned from the physio therapist, chiropractor and spa. Just make sure they know that was sarcasm."
"Last thing I need is for a couple of ex assassins to have reason to torture me further than what they already do." I muttered.
"I could train you if you'd like. I have a feeling we'll work better when it comes to communication and knowing physical limits. You do need to be able to walk tomorrow." Steve suggested.
"That's allowed?" I asked hopefully. He nodded.
"Oh please! Please, please, please!" I begged. I grabbed onto his shirt, genuinely desperate.
"Okay, if you're done being weirdly affectionate with our boss, I believe we have some training to get done." Clint smirked as he entered the doorway.
I dropped my head awkwardly, stood up slowly and smiled through my intense blush, hoping that my expression was as innocent as I needed it to be.
"um...I'll just...head down so long. I'll see you there." I started walking.
"Preferably the hottest of you three." I muttered, looking back to see Steve discussing (intensely) with Clintasha.

are you that somebody?
- WHO: Sebastian Smythe and Blaine Anderson
- WHEN: Evening of June 5th into morning of June 6th, 2020
- WHERE: Sebastian’s apartment in Dallas
- WHAT: Sebastian invites Blaine over, singing and fooling around ensues. Some nsfw elements but actual smut is omitted.
Sebastian:
sebastian had settled into his apartment that wednesday. by thursday he was laying in his bed, alone in his apartment and staring up at the ceiling of the high end apartment. his eyes focused in on the roof. his thoughts swarmed around in his mind for the next couple of days. he personally hated that he was here alone... but really what was he to do? this was normal. sebastian continued this trend until friday. only this time, he picked up his phone and started to message people again. blaine's name popped up and sebastian's mind remembered that blaine was in town for the competition. he sent of a text
[text] hey, are you in dallas yet?
Blaine:
Arriving in Dallas, Blaine was basically humming with excitement about the weekend. They were performing at Nationals and he thought they might have a good chance at placing high if not winning the thing entirely. By the time he got everything unpacked enough in the hotel room, it still definitely wasn’t late enough for Blaine for bed and with other people off doing their own thing, he found himself curled up in one of those uncomfortable hotel room chairs watching Netflix on his phone. He was torn out of a rewatch of Parks and Rec by a text from Sebastian.
[text] yeah! just finished unpacking actually
Sebastian:
[text] are you doing anything fun?
Sebastian wiggled as he got the text. For the past month, Sebastian had messaged Blaine non-stop. There was just something so about him that made Sebastian go crazy. Blaine was ridiculously fine. The bonus was Blaine was also smart and fun to talk to. Sebastian found himself thinking about Blaines text and what he could’ve said better or no said at all. He didn’t do this for anybody. His lips pressed together has he waited for Blaine to message him back.
Blaine:
[text] Ha, no. Just watching tv on my phone. Everyone's doing their own thing really
[text] what are you up to?
Blaine still couldn’t figure out what was going on with Sebastian. There was the flirting, yes, that Blaine had mostly chalked up to that just being how Sebastian was as a person. He liked talking to him, though. A lot. He asked Blaine silly questions about Disney and talked about what they were like as kids. He didn’t feel like he was trying to artificially construct a conversation. He even thought, maybe, that Sebastian was interested in him when he’d come over to study and the taller man had looked at him the way he did. Then suddenly Blaine was being all the ushered out the door. It must have been all in Blaine’s head.
Sebastian:
[text] You wanna hang out?
Sebastians mind rattled in his head. His heart pounded as he sent of the message and he waited for a reply. He wanted to see Blaine. No... he needed to see Blaine. He sat up and stared at his phone waiting to see the response.
Blaine:
Blaine knew that Sebastian was in Dallas and that he'd come see them, but he hadn't really thought about the fact that he could just leave the hotel and hang. It sounded nice. And, honestly, it was more than a little exciting that Sebastian had suggested it. Logically, he knew they were friends, but, there was always doubt.
[text] sure! where should we meet?
Sebastian:
[text] my place your place it does matter
Sebastian ginger flew over the keyboards. Once Blaine said yes, Sebastian rolled out of bed. It was the first time in a day he’d done this. We went to freshen up his look. He watched his phone carefully for Blaines text.
Blaine:
[text] I mean, my place is a hotel, so…
[text] unless you really want to hang out in a lobby
Blaine smiled slightly to himself. It would be nice to get out. Here, it was all he could do not to think about the competition and the dance steps and whether or not he’d mess up the singing.
Sebastian:
[text] my place then?
Sebastian combed through his hair, adjusted the ring in his nose so that it was centered and put on some deodorant. His heart jumped as he thought about Blaine being in his room.
Blaine:
[text] sounds good! just send me an address
Blaine got up and went to slide on a pair of shows. It would be interesting to see how Sebastian lived when it wasn’t a dorm room. Suddenly a thought hit him. Sebastian had been pretty eager to hear the first song he’d written and he’d brought the guitar from Austin, mostly as a security blanket. Playing always made him less anxious.
[text] mind if I bring my guitar?
Sebastian:
[text] please do-- but only if i get to hear that song ~
[text] my address is 4509 Knoll Tr dr. apt 457
sebastian went through the apartment to start to get ready for blaine arrive. he realized he hadn't eaten for that evening and surfed through postmates for something he could get delivered.
[text] im pretty hungry, would you like something to eat?
Blaine:
[text] that’s the idea :P
He plugged the address into his phone and gathered his things including his guitar case and headed out of the hotel room. Blaine hadn’t even really thought of the fact that he hadn’t eaten since arriving to Dallas. Eating was rarely on his mind, really.
[text] Sure! I haven’t had dinner yet either.
Sebastian:
rather than attempting to have this conversation through text, sebastian hit the call button and put the phone to his ear. he walked on over to his cabients and opened them up to look through what groceries he has just in case he got really hungry.
Blaine:
Blaine felt the phone in his hand start to vibrate and turned it to see who it was. Sebastian. He smiled, accepted the call, and raised the phone to his ear. "Hey," he greeted.
Sebastian:
"hello." he greeted with a cool tone before putting blaine on speak phone. "i thought this would be easier to discuss food. what are you feeling today killer?"
Blaine:
"No problem," Blaine said with a nod. That was better for him too, especially since he was holding a guitar in one hand. "Hm, I'm really up for anything. Anything you really know is good around here?"
Sebastian:
sebastian hummed and tilted his head. "there is this thai place i really like. let me see if they're on postmates--" sebastian moved to postmates and found their page. "what do you think?" he asked as he scrolled through their menu. "it looks like they're on postmates."
Blaine:
"I always love a good pad thai," he laughed, heading out of the hotel lobby and onto the street. "I say do it," he replied.
Sebastian:
sebastian sent him the link to the menu through his phone. "alright, let me know what you want and i'll order it. hopefully with the snail traffic out there, it'll get here right when you arrive."
Blaine:
Blaine moved him on to speaker phone, pulling up the menu. "Sounds good...Hm..." he paused glancing stuff over. "Should I text what I want? Is that easier?"
Sebastian:
sebastian turned around and looked around his apartment. "i have a pen actually, you can tell me." he told him as he grabbed the pen and paper. "shoot"
Blaine:
"Cool, I'll get the panang curry and a side of rice," he said, turning him back off speaker phone. "And if you want to split a gyoza or something, I'd be in."
Sebastian:
sebastian repeated the order to him. "sounds good with me. i also love calamari, would you like an order of that too?" he asked as he wrote down the gyoza.
Blaine:
"Yup," he confirmed as Sebastian read back the order. Thenn he brought up calamari. "Oh, for sure," Blaine said, excitement clear in his voice.
Sebastian:
sebastian smiled at blaine's excitement. "alright, i'm putting in the order now. i can't wait to see ya." the words slipped out of his mouth. he closed his eyes and pressed his lips togethers. "can't wait to see you."
Blaine:
Blaine couldn't help but smile at the casual way he said that. It was kind of adorable. "Great. Can't wait to see ya, too," he replied with a chuckle.
Sebastian:
"um... bye..." he laughed. "i'll see you in a minute."
Blaine:
"See you soon," he said, ending the call and tucking his phone into his pocket. It wasn't terribly long until he arrived at the address Sebastian had given him. He quickly glanced at his phone again to see which apartment he was in before hitting the appropriate buzzer to let him know he'd arrived.
Sebastian:
sebastian turned on the tv for some background noise as he moved about the apartment. from the entrance to sebastian's apartment, it was obvious that it was a high end apartment. the building's updated smooth walls gave the impression that sebastian was living in the high end area. he opened the door to the apartment to see blaine. he stood in front of the other with a regular pair of jeans along with with a fresh shirt on. "come on in." he invited as he stepped aside. he closed the door behind blaine and locked in. to the left of the entrance showed an elegant entertainment room. clean white couch with a modern coffee table there. in front of it was a wide flat screen tv that was playing the news. underneath the tv was a grand fireplace that was closed for the time being. on the right was a dining table that matched the furniture on the right. the cieling stretched a whole two floors, and showed off the banister to sebastian's room that over looked both the dining room and the entertainment center. the whole room was a decent size. walking in further, there were the stairs that lead to the bedroom above and the open kitchen with an island. with updated cabinets an appliances, it was obvious that sebastian's parents made sure to put him up in the place with the highest class. sebastian moved in. "make yourself at home. would you like something to drink?" he asked as he walked on over to the fridge. on top of the fridge, there were bottles of liquor aligned. "i have water, juice, beer, some mixers if you want a little drink. i recently discovered something pretty sweet. or--" he paused as he pulled a wine bottle from aside the fridge. "my mom got me this if you'd like to try it." he showed off the rich white wine to blaine.
Blaine:
"Hey, thanks," he replied, giving him a smile. When Blaine walked in, he was shocked by how beautiful the apartment was. He'd been able to tell from the facade of the building that it was a nice place, but he hadn't expected this. Of course, Blaine wasn't a stranger to luxury with the amount that his parents have, but this was beyond just a really nice apartment. "This place is amazing,..." he said looking around. He followed Sebastian into the kitchen area, setting down his guitar for a moment. "Oh. Sure, if you want to try it," he replied. He was always the over polite guest in situations like these.
Sebastian:
sebastian went to the automatic wine opener and placed the wine bottle down in it. he turned it on and went to get the two glasses. "how was the drive over? was it hard to find?" he asked as he set the glasses down. he also pulled out some chips and cookies for them. "and no need to be so stiff there killer. it's just me."
Blaine:
Blaine shook his head, chuckling slightly in embarrassment at the reminder to loosen up. He didn't know why he felt so rigid. "Sorry," he mumbled, leaning against the counter. "The drive was fine. The Uber guy seemed to recognize the area," he explained. "My car is still back in LA," he explained.
Sebastian:
“That’s good.” Just as he said this, there was a knock at the door. Sebastian is walked over and grabbed the door. He picked up the food and handed over some cash for tip and brought it in. He went to the cabinet to pull out some plates. “Where do you want eat? Bar, dining room, in front of fox. Makes for good material to laugh at.”
Blaine:
Blaine waited as Sebastian got the food, picking up one of the cookies to eat. He came back and Blaine gave a shrug. "Maybe the couch," he chuckled. "Though lately the news just kind of makes me mad."
Sebastian:
“With that recent cop killing, I would understand.” He said as he handed Blaine the plates to bring to the couch. “We can turn on something else.”
Blaine:
"And all the protests and riots. I've been donating to as many causes as I can to support them," he replied, taking the plates and walking them over. "Sure," he said, giving an appreciative smile. "What's your go to background noise show?"
Sebastian:
“Ummmm....” Sebastian paused and looked at the TV. He grabbed a hold of the remote and shifted over to Disney plus. “Anything but the little mermaid.” He said has he handed out the remote.
Blaine:
Blaine took the remote with a chuckle. “I can do that,” he replied, starting to scroll through stuff. “How about Alice, then? Since you like it?”
Sebastian:
"don't pick it for me-- we can do mulan." he offered as he picked out his order of curry and rice. he moved it onto the plate and grabbed a hold of the extra pepper to put on it. he moved so that he was close to blaine on the floor. "have you tried red curry before?" he asked as he pulled out part of his chicken. and dabbed it into his rice.
Blaine:
"I'm not just picking it for you. I like that movie, too," he replied. It was like Blaine to offer what someone else wanted, but he also did really just want to watch something he knew Bas liked. He took his own food and portioned himself out some on the plate. "I don't think so? At least not recently," he replied.
Sebastian:
sebastian made blaine a spoon packed with the how curry along with some chicken and rice. he held his hand under the spoon and held it up for blaine to try. "it's really good, at least i like it. not too sweet." he mentioned as he let blaine try it. he looked up and the wine and then got up to go get it. he poured them half glasses and set it out. he sat back down on the floor. "sure, i like that." he hummed as he had another spoonful.
Blaine:
Blaine flattened a hand to hold by Sebastian's - just in case - and leaned in to take the bite. He hummed appreciatively as he chewed. "That is really good," he agreed once he'd swallowed. "Thanks." When Sebastian got up, he looked for the movie and clicked play once he'd returned. "I have a really old copy of the Alice books from my Dad's side of the family," he mentioned.
Sebastian:
There was a smile at blaines reaction before he went back to his food. He perked up. “I would have a nerd jizzing contest with you and Blaine about that.” Sebastian told him. “I love the original books.” He looked over. He really didn’t want the movie to get in the way of what they were doing.
Blaine:
Blaine picked up the wine glass and took a sip. He laughed at Sebastian's reaction to his comment. "My mom used to read it to me when I was falling asleep. And then I saw the movie and was very confused because there is so much that's different. Where was the Duchess? And the movie is basically the two books twisted," Blaine laughed. "I was kind of an obnoxious kid, I'm sure."
Sebastian:
Sebastian snorted. “I would love a kid like you.” Sebastian said as he looked over at Blaine. “I bet you were so cute with those big around eyes looking up at her.” He blinked as he glanced over Blaines hair. “Do you always get it down like that?” He asked.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled, blushing slighty at his words. "I was a pretty cute kid, I have to admit." Blaine nodded, continuing to eat his food. "Yeah, pretty much every day. It's just easier this way," he said with a shrug. The routine had been his since he was a kid and it was a reliable way of it looking nice.
Sebastian:
Sebastian smiled brightly at blaines comment about his childhood. Sebastian thought about his own childhood— running around and attempting to hide from his mother. He took a sip of his wine as that imagine evolved. He quickly stopped it whenever it turned into his teenage years. “I’m obsessed with hearing these. I what else did you read growing up?” He asked. “Oh really everyday?? I think that’s noble. Even when you’re not doing anything?”
Blaine:
"She also read me all the Narnia books and the Oz books. I think The Patchwork Girl of Oz was my favorite," he replied, still slightly bashful in the way he spoke. No one had ever asked to hear more about what his childhood was like. "What about you? What were your go-to childhood books?" He gave another nod at the next hair question. "If I have any intention of leaving my room, then yes. If I'm just going to be alone, maybe not."
Sebastian:
Sebastian listened with intent. His brain commit to memory everything about Blaine. After Blaine had asked his question, Sebastian thought for a moment about his childhood books. “Don’t laugh. I hate to casually admit that I loved the Nancy Drew books and Goosebumps. I also love the little prince or...” the translation flipped in his head. “The adventures of tintin. It was another detective series.” Sebastian explained to him knowing full well that it was a book released in France. Sebastian turned his torso to Blaine and his hair grazed over the males smooth hair. Sebastian wanted nothing more than to touch it. He had been thinking about Blaine a lot for the past few weeks. All he wanted to do was get Blaine next to him in bed so their conversations weren’t so distant from each other. He leaned onto his elbow and mindlessly stuck some curry in his mouth.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled as Sebastian listed off the books he'd loved as a kid. It was really adorable. "I think I've heard of Tintin. He has a dog right?" he asked, trying to make a mental picture in his head. "I also loved the Goosebumps books, little you had good taste," he laughed, taking another sip from his glass.
Sebastian:
sebastian smiled and shook his head. "no, but he has a dog named snowy." sebastian pulled out his phone and showed him the pictures of the poodle and talked through some of his favorite adventures. "excuse my ranting, i loved the stories. my mom would also read them. sometimes my nanny, but she was never successful at getting me to go to sleep. as for goosebumps, that would always put me to sleep." he laughed.
Blaine:
Blaine leaned forward to look at Sebastian's phone screen, occaisionally looking at Sebastian's face while he talked. If you asked him if he ever thought he'd see Sebastian Smythe prattle on about a French children's story, he definitely say no, but it also somehow made sense. "No, don't apologize at all," Blaine replied, echoing his laughter. "You fell asleep to Goosebumps? Those always kept me up worrying about whatever boogeyman was in my closet."
Sebastian:
sebastian tongue pressed to the inside of his bottom lip, creating a bubble on his chin and showing off the jewelry in his mouth. he was starting to get full, so he simply started to pack up his food and set it aside. "i never thought there was a booyman." sebastian thought aloud. an idea popped into his head when blaine said this. his breathe slowed as he leaned back against the couch. his breathe slowed down a bit and he forced his eyes to soften. "it makes me think about a story my mom used to tell me..." his voice softened. he scrunched up his nose as if the information he was relying was becoming painful. "my mom told me--" he changed to a french accent. "sébastien, as a little boy, you should always know you family." he changed back to a regular english accent. "one summer, my mom's estranged aunt came to visit. with her came a little girl named maria that was my mom's age. together, they hit it off right away. they would spend their time in the swimming pool together, painting and dancing out in the fields. but maria was funny in the sense that she would walk up in the middle of the night. every so often she would get up and leave my mom's bed." his voice lowered to a hush sound. his green eyes connected with blaines and sebastian breathed in, to make sure that blaine had eye contact with him. his arm slid down to the floor and closer to blaine. "one night, her cousin left the room and didn't return. confused in the morning, my mother sat up and went to her aunt and asked where maria went. her aunt looked at my mom  with bewilderment and shook her head." he said this in a french accent. "maria? what are you talking about dear? who i maria?" english again. "my mother told her about maria, her cousin that the estrange aunt brought. in that moment, her aunt started to wail and all around the table came looks of despair. immediately, my mom was sent to her room. --- without understanding, my mother stormed off to her room in tears. not understand what she had been punished for. later that afternoon, my grand mother came to the room, telling her that such thing was inappropriate. in tears, my mother demanded an explanation. there-- my grandmother told my mother that maria was her estranged aunt's stillborn baby and why she had been gone for so many years. horrified at this discovery, my mother tossed herself under her blanket and cried herself to sleep. later that night, she woke up hungry. as she sat up, she shivered and pulled on her jacket." sebastian's voice became lower and he leaned into blaine. his voice barely above a whisper. "when she stood up, the old floor boards below her creaked. she took a step-- then another before she felt and heard that familiar voice. 'adrianna?' she stopped dead in her tracks, but the floor boards kept creaking as if there were another walking behind her. they got closer... and closer and then..." as if it were timed, alice from the movie let out a petrified scream while sebastian reached out and grabbed blaine's shoulder from behind. sebastian himself jumped a little bit at the loud sound that came from the tv.
Blaine:
As Sebastian started his story, Blaine set his plate back on the table. At first he was entirely fooled into the story - he certainly was a good actor. He listened with rapt attention, leaning forward on his legs as his eyes stayed glued on Sebastian's. It was about at the moment where the story started to take on the more ghostly elements that Blaine realized that Sebastian must be pulling his leg, but he was so wrapped up in the story that he didn't dwell too hard on his own gullible-ness. He was leaning forward just a bit more, excited to see where this was going when the scream came from the TV. That combined with the hand on his shoulder made Blaine startle, letting out a surprised yelp. It took a few moments before he looked at the movie and realized where they were in the film and his wide eyes crinkled into laughter.
Sebastian:
sebastian waited for blaine to laugh before sebastian copied him. his white teeth shined on as the other laugh. sebastian finished his wine before he started to clean up. "i'm ready for a couple of songs-- if you're up to it." sebastian asked.
Blaine:
"You really got me," he chuckled. "Did you know that scream was going to happen?" As he saw Sebastian start to clean up, Blaine did the same, getting the food packed away and swallowing the rest of his own drink. The request for music came and Blaine gave a nod, getting up to grab the guitar from where he'd left it. "I'm always up for a little music," he replied as he returned. The guitar was fairly simple, but still clearly elegant and not inexpensive. He sat on the couch, starting to tune by ear. "Okay, what do you want me to start with?"
Sebastian:
Excited, Sebastian collected everything and went to put it all away. On his way back, Sebastian brought the wine to refill their glasses. Sebastian sat down across from him and examined the guitar with a bit of admiration on his face. He’d never learned how to play, and he commended anybody who did learn to play it. He watched Blaine from the other end and thought about his next words. “Anything you’d like killer.” He said as he took a sip of his wine.
Sebastian:
Blaine strummed it once to ensure the tuning was good. Satisfied, he started picking out a melody. "I'll give myself a warm up before I show you my song," he said, giving Sebastian a grin. He was a little nervous about playing it for him. With Rachel, the only person other than his professor who had heard it, he knew it was so she could help him improve it. And the song at the gala - that was fun but it didn't hold the kind of personal significance this did. Playing it for Sebastian, it felt...sort of intimate. He started playing James Taylor's "You've Got a Friend", slow and quiet with just the guitar and his voice.
Sebastian:
Sebastian nodded and allowed Blaine he time. He hummed a long, letting his leg swing to the beat. He could tell Blaine was a bit unsure. So Sebastian joined in lightly, and sung with him. After it finished, Sebastian smiled. “You don’t need to sing me your first song.” Sebastian said cooly. “I just want to hear your voice.” He smiled. “Just play what you’re comfortable with.” He encouraged. He took a sip of his wine.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled as Sebastian sung with him. He liked his voice a lot. He didn't hear a lot like it, as softly as he was singing. And he had to admit their voices sounded really nice together. His fingers rested against the strings as he looked over at Sebastian. "I want to play it for you," he said before biting the inside of his lip. "I know it's silly... I've let other people hear it, but those were music people... It feels different playing it for you," he explained. "In a good way. I'm just... I guess..." What? That he cared about Sebastian's opinion on it? That he wanted him to like it?
Sebastian:
Sebastian showed him a soft smile. His green eyes softened as Blaine rambled. He shifted so that he was facing Blaine now. His torso was stretched out long, his butt sitting on the edge of the couch while the bottom of his shoulder nestled softly into the couch. His legs were twisted with his left leg over his right. His full attention was on Blaine. Sebastian watched blaines lips for a moment before he tore away to his eyes. “I can’t wait to hear it.”
Blaine:
Blaine met his eyes and returned the smile, grateful that the other man was just listening and watching. He nodded as he spoke, turning his focus back to the strings below him as he started plucking out the intro. Every once in a while, he'd lift his head up to look at Sebastian, trying to gauge his reaction to both the melody and the lyrics.

Sebastian:
Sebastian expression for the most part was still rather than reactive to the playful banter. His expression had softened something he would find to be weak and vulnerable. The emotions that music traditionally brought out struck him with both lyrics and the melody. Sebastian heart pounded as he felt it’s effect wash over him. His body numbed to its message that Blaine had to tell him. It shook his bones. Thanks to the uplifting beat, Sebastian felt all his emotions suddenly become valid. He could feel the pressure behind his eyes build up. Before he could stop himself, Sebastian leaned in and pressed his lips to Blaines. His body held itself above his guitar as to not damage the instrument.
Blaine:
As Blaine played, there was a sense of confidence that grew within him, just from the soft way Sebastian was looking at him. There was no judgement that he could find. When the song was coming to an end, Blaine was trying to formulate what he'd say. He didn't often give one on one performances. All of those thoughts were wiped out with Sebastian coming so close to him. Before he could really figure out what was going on, Bas's lips were on his. At first, he was startled, but after a second of recognition, he let himself lean into it, sliding his guitar out from between them to lay beside Blaine on the couch.
Sebastian:
He could feel his happiness bloom as Blaine had returned the action. Once the guitar was out of the way, Sebastian leaned in deepen to the kiss. His heart thumped loudly in his chest, enough to feel it heavily in his throat. He could feel himself wanting more; not the the way he usually got though. He opened his eyes, realizing that they had been shut right out of nervous energy. Sebastian couldn’t even remember the last time he felt these things and to be honest, this was due to repression. Sebastian could feel his body torn between continuing and stopping. In response, Sebastian tilted his head down out of the kiss, leaving only his wine stained lips on Blaines. His forehead rolled against blaines. He let out a laugh. “Sorry...” Twice within a week was more times Sebastians apologized in 4 years. “It was amazing.” He said as his eyes directed downward to blaines chin.
Blaine:
Blaine's hand found it's way up to Sebastian's cheek. He couldn't believe that Sebastian was kissing him. A million thoughts raced through his head about all of their past interactions and how the other had been flirting and that this hadn't been all in Blaine's head. He tried to quiet this racing and just focus on how nice it felt to have Sebastian so close to him. Then, Sebastian slightly pulled away. His laughter drew some out of Blaine, shaking his head ever so slightly as their foreheads still pressed together. "You don't need to apologize," he assured, eyes looking for the others, despite how close they were. You never have to apologize for kissing me, he wanted to add, but stayed quiet. "Thank you. I don't think any one has ever kissed me because they like my music," he teased, moving his thumb against Sebastian's cheek slightly.
Sebastian:
Sebastian hand went to blaines hands. Sebastian felt over the rough callous built up by those talented fingers. He moved his body so that he would finally be in comfortable next to him. Sebastian thought long and hard about what to do next. “Mhmm...” he snorted. He smiled. “Do you like it?” Sebastian asked as his eyes connected with Blaine’s.
Blaine:
Blaine shifted as Sebastian did, letting them settle near each other. He kept his gaze on him, smiling like an idiot, Blaine was sure. "My music? Or you kissing me?" he said, perhaps a little cheekily. He brought his hand from Sebastian's face, but kept it close to him.
Sebastian:
Sebastian wanted to link them up again and kiss, but his mind was starting to come down off the love high and starting to be rational again. Then again, what exactly is rational to him? “I would be very interested in how you wouldn’t like your own music.” He laughed at blaines cheeky attempt as he inches nearer. “I might give you more sugar for the right answer though.”
Blaine:
Blaine chuckled, shaking his head at Sebastian’s first comment. “I think your own music is the easiest kind not to like. Hence why it’s taken me so long to actually show people what I’ve been working on since I was, like, a teenager,” he pointed out, match his body language of desire. “Because it’s a part of me that I’m showing to someone else.” He smoothed the back of his hair, slightly nervous. He didn’t know much much to address this obvious mutual attraction. “I’m glad you kissed me.”
Sebastian:
Sebastian listened intently. He had even pulled his head back. As Blaine spoke, Sebastian let his hand rest into Blaines. His thumb stroked Blaines hand. There was a pause for Sebastian to think and internalize Blaines speech. Sebastian had felt Blaines passion and warmth along with his compassion for others. Something Sebastian hadn’t believed in for a long time. Even watching others perform this act made Sebastian think that it was all fake and for the single purpose of gain. However Sebastian didn’t quite understand what was happening in the moment. He’s rational thought was a lie and Sebastian resorted back to that scared teenage boy he was stuck in. His jaw clinched as the pause dragged on. “Thank you.” He smiled to Blaine as he thought of a way to recover for this slip up. “For doing that. It was really beautiful.” He spoke slow as a way to pause for more time. Pressure exploded from behind his eyeballs and he felt his body go numb, like it usually did when he felt about to cry. He took in a deep breathe as he attempted to get through it. But he couldn’t help his eye water at the edges. He placed his wrist against his eyes. “Oh allergies.” He complained as he blinked. “My contacts are also super old too. I need to take them out. Excuse me for a minute.” He said as he stood up from the couch and went to the bathroom on the first floor.
Blaine:
Blaine curled his fingers around Sebastian's as their hands touched. It meant a lot that he was just listening and taking it in. The pause after he spoke didn't feel that strange to Blaine until he saw a subtle shift in the planes of Sebastian's face. Quickly, it melted into words and a smile and Blaine smiled back at the gratitude, mumbling an 'of course.' Then he started to see the wetness gathering in Sebastian's eyes and heard the way his breath changed. Was he about to cry? "Oh, uh... okay," he said, his body turning to face in the direction that Sebastian had left in. He didn't really believe that it was allergies or contacts since he'd been fine until that second, but he also didn't want to crowd him, figuring he'd give him a moment and only follow if he was gone too long.
Sebastian:
Sebastian went to the bathroom and pulled out his contacts. Later he returned with the gold thin wire framed glasses. He picked up his wine and his small little fit was over. Or at least suppressed for the time being. “Is that the only song you brought?” He asked as he returned to his spot where he was before. This time with his wine.
Blaine:
Blaine was about to get up when he heard Sebastian's footsteps heading back. Seeing that he was now wearing glasses, he decided not to say anything. Maybe it was just his contacts bugging him. Blaine picked the guitar back up, running his hand along the strings. "I mean, I can play a lot things," he chuckled. Had whatever moment they'd had passed? "Is there something you want to hear?"
Sebastian:
sebastian felt a bit bad looking at blaine. he wanted to kiss the man again. in fact,  sebastian wanted to take him upstairs and undo that hair. but his mind was attempting it's damn near hardest to hold him back. he sat down with his wine and took a sip. "anything." he told the other. "i love listening to you."
Blaine:
Blaine smiled a little wider when Sebastian spoke, shaking his head in modesty. "Let's see..." he said, trying to think of something. He hummed as an idea came to him and started to play a sort of jazz swing, but a little more punctuated. "Sinatra," he explained, but it was also clearly influenced by his own style. He licked his lips after the first chorus, starting in a whistle section as he kept up the fingerwork. Guitar was definitely his best instrument. Something about it had always called out to him.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rC4ZnKL0a-k
Sebastian:
it didn't take much to pull down sebastian's guard again. as blaine started, sebastian bopped along to the beat. he had to force his body still to not show off too much swaying. when blaine started to whistle, sebastian's jaw clinched. there was no way that would fly again with bas' being the reason. he laughed as blaine finished the song. sebastian put down his wine glass, reached forward for that blasted guitar, gently set it down and pushed himself onto blaine. this time, his lips pushed inward to show off his aggressive side.
Blaine:
He finished, laughing along with Sebastian, though he wasn't really sure why. The other started to pull the guitar from his hands and he let go, more than curious to see where this was going to go. Then, he had Sebastian's lips on his again. Good to know that all it took was a little guitar to get him to close the distance between them. It had been way too long since someone had kissed Blaine like this, forceful and needing. He did his best to match Sebastian, hands finding his body to hold him close. He had had no idea when he left the hotel that this was where today was going, but he certainly wasn't going to complain.
Sebastian:
this time, sebastian's lips twisted in with blaine's. his tongue craved every taste of the man. he moaned softly as his tongue pushed through his lips and into his mouth. sebastian's ring ran over blaine's tongue as sebastian explored the roof of blaine's mouth. he playfully clicked his tongue ring against blaine's teeth. sebastian opened his eyes to watch blaine's face.
Blaine:
Sebastian was deepening the kiss and Blaine let him, parting his lips gently so his tongue could dip inside. He knew Sebastian had the tongue piercing from little glimpses of it here and there. He had always thought it was hot, but it was definitely a million times more of a turn on, he decided, when it was tracing the inside of your mouth. The clicking against his teeth spurred Blaine on, teasing his tongue against Sebastian's with a stuttered breath and a small sound of enjoy mean somewhere between a moan and a laugh.
Sebastian:
sebastian took part in the laugh, catching blaine's tongue between his teeth. he let go of his tongue and continued to laugh. "I wanted to kiss you for so long." he breathed as he kissed blaine's chin. he turned his head to the side of blaine's face. "every since i saw you the first time next to sam, i thought you were the hottest thing i'd see all semester." he whispered to him.
Blaine:
Blaine's hands moved up Sebastian's back as he moved from his mouth to the side of his face. He could feel heat in his stomach as Sebastian said that he wanted to kiss him for a while. "Why didn't you?" he whispered back. "I thought you were just flirting for flirting's sake, not that you actually wanted to..." He demonstrated, kissing where he could reach on his jaw from this position. "For the record, I also thought you were hot. I probably acted like an idiot," he chuckled.
Sebastian:
sebastian connected eyes with blaine. he hummed as he fit himself in-between blaine's legs. his body buzzed with excitement as he hovered over blaine. he had been thinking about nothing but the man since they met that one evening for studying. he didn't understand this-- if blaine were any other man he picked up from the bar, sebastian wouldn't be stopping for conversation, he'd be wiggling off their pants. instead, he listened to the man under him. his soft green eyes looked at blaine in a different light. sebastian moved to blaine's jaw line. "i would never...." sebastian huffed into blaine's ear. "do that to anybody as sexy as you."
Blaine:
Blaine shifted so he could lean back more into the couch and let Sebastian settle against him. He tilted his chin up slightly, almost arching into Sebastian's touches. "I thought you were going to kiss me that night we were studying," Blaine admitted, tracing the tips of his fingers up and down Sebastian's back just to give them something to do. "But I'm glad you are now." He turned his head to reconnect their lips.
Sebastian:
sebastian could hardly say anything to that night. that's when it all started-- this damn crush. maybe he had it before. but the time for talk was coming to a close. as he heard these words, sebastian's pierced tongue wiggled into blaine's mouth. his hand cupped blaine's smooth chin and brought him in. he hoped with this action that blaine would stop talking.
Blaine:
It certainly did shut Blaine up. His hands found more solid purchase as Sebastian deepend the kiss, lifting his head slightly to meet him. His hand moved up the back of Sebastian's neck, resting at his hairline and letting his fingertips slightly dig in. His tongue traced around Sebastian's, enjoying the unfamiliar sensation of the metal in his mouth.
Sebastian:
sebastian moved his hand over the back of blaine's neck and pulled him in. sebastian stuck out his tongue, closed his eyes, and drowned himself in blaine's taste. he let out soft moans as his tongue dug deeper. his hands wiggled between blaine's head and that stiff layer of gel. sebastian pulled away for air. "what do you put in your hair?" he asked.
Blaine:
Blaine was entirely in the moment, trying not to let thoughts wander beyond anything other than how Sebastian's weight felt over him or the sounds cming from those lips. He couldn't help but laugh when Sebastian was clearly trying to reach into his hair. Everyone he'd ever been with had made some comment or another about the gel. "It's just hair gel," he said, though he knew most people didn't use quite the strength or amount he did.
Sebastian:
“Are you sure?” Sebastian asked as he felt through it. “How hot and bothered do I have to get you in order to get that unglued from your head?” He asked as he lifted Blaine up. “You want to go upstairs?” Sebastian asked him.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled back at him. "Pretty sure." That second comment made him blush, mostly because he knew that the gel did, in fact, release when he really got going in bed, but he laughed it off. "Maybe you'll find out," he teased, letting himself sit up. The thought of seeing his bedroom was definitely enticing. "Sure."
Sebastian:
Sebastian took blaines hand and stood up. He lead the way to the stair case in the back. It was dark, typically Sebastian didn’t even turn on the light. He’d just feel his way through the darkness. Once they got upstairs, the two of them stood in front of a grand king sized mattress with two shelves on either side. Sebastian flipped on a light switch, but instead of the bright Lights in the roof, fairy lights came on about the dark mattress. Sebastian turned to Blaine and stepped back. Sebastian let go of his hand and walked over to the grand stereo that sat the right. Right on top of the beautiful vintage stero sat Sebastians baby, the vinyl record player that was Sebastians pride and joy. “Any request?” Sebastian asked him. “Maybe that jazz that I got at Waterloo.” He said as he pulled out the record that he purchased they say they went.
Blaine:
Blaine kept their hands to gether as they walked up to Sebastian's room, careful not to trip going up the stairs. Once the lights were on in the room, Blaine couldn't help but let out a breath at how nice it was. The bed was huge with those twinkly lights...then he looked at Sebastian and the stereo he was indicating. That was one of the nicest set ups he had ever seen, record player included. "I think you could play anything on that thing and it would sound amazing," he said, giving him a nod.
Sebastian:
Sebastian put in the jazz CD he mentioned and was careful with the technology. He made sure that the music was playing before he turned to Blaine. Sebastian moved over to Blaine and took his hand. He leaned over slowly, he moved his hands to cup around blaines legs and up into his ass. Sebastian pulled him up so that Sebastian could deepen the kiss.
Blaine:
Blaine gave his hand a small squeeze as they were pulled closer together. He leaned into Sebastian's touch, meeting every new touch. He hummed at the contact, hands finding Sebastian's cheeks as they moved their lips against each other's.
Sebastian:
Sebastian pulled Blaine up on him by his legs and walked over with him on his hips. All the time not parting from blaines lips. Adrenaline pumping, Sebastian threw him on the bed. As he leaned onto the bed, Sebastian reached behind his neck and pulled his shirt off, showing off the pale long torso with the light outlines of abs. He tossed it aside and pushed himself on top of Blaine and returned his lips to Blaines. His hands drifted down blaines neck and over his chest. He twitched when he felt over the tuff of chest hair.
Blaine:
Blaine lifted his legs around Sebastian's waist, clinging tight to him as they made their way over to the bed. Blaine landed on the bed, scrambling back towards the pillows. He watched as Sebastian pulled off his shirt, smiling appreciatively. He tugged at his own clothes, pulling his shirt off and throwing it over with Sebastian's before they met again in a kiss. Blaine let his hands skim over the skin on Sebastian's back, appreciating the definition of his muscles. He held the other as close as he could, breaking their lips apart to kiss along his jaw.
Sebastian:
Sebastian let out soft moans through the kisses as he dove into Blaines world. For weeks, he had been craving this. Every male Sebastian brought him was to attempt to get the imagine of Blaine out of his mind. Shameful to admit, he’s touched himself to these thoughts and feelings too. He closed his eyes and drowned in the sensation of the man beneath him. The kiss earlier and everything after that was everything he wanted. Instead of focusing on the psychical feelings, all Sebastian could think about was Blaines bright smile and starring personality. With every inhale, Sebastian absorbed that sweet smell that the other had, making him hard in what seemed like world record time. There was nothing strong enough in Sebastians mind to stop him now. His fingers flowed through Blaines chest hair some more before moving downward over Blaines abs. He spent little time there and kept going to blaines pants. With one hand, he undid the belt and jeans. He opened his eyes as Blaine started to kiss his jaw, that tinkly hot feeling flushed from his mouth to the skin where Blaines lips touched.
Blaine:
Blaine honestly couldn't believe this was happening. Since he met Sebastian, he'd put him on this sort of unattainable pedestal. He just assumed that it wasn't even worth the energy to pine after someone who seemed so hot and cool. And, getting to know him, Blaine found that he was funny and interesting and a great listener. He couldn't tell if that made him more or less intimidating. But, there they were in Sebastian's bed, clearly turning each other on with every movement of their tongues and hands. Blaine ran his hand up Sebastian's back to tangle in his hair, the other moving to rest on his waist, his thumb pressed against the outline of his abs. They stayed there as his lips moved to Sebastian's neck, only moving as his pants were undone and he brought his hands down to start to pull them off. Sebastian's hands being so close to where Blaine wanted them most was clearly having an effect on his bloodflow, bringing some relief as he was freed from the denim.
Sebastian:
Sebastian moaned as he felt Blaines soft lips. He moved slowly to Blaine ear and gave it a tender kiss. The next fifteen minutes came hard and fast for Sebastian. Once they had finished, Sebastian came up from to lay down next to the other. He gave himself a few minutes to catch his breathe before he rolled over and stood up. He went to the restroom and came back with a towel for Blaine. “Here you go.” He offered.
Blaine:
Blaine panted as he relaxed into the pillows. The two lay there for a few moments, the only sounds were their calming breaths. He looked over at Sebastian with a dopey, post-orgasm smile as he stood up. His eyes followed him to the bathroom , sitting up a bit as Sebastian returned. "Thanks," he said, taking the towel and wiping the mess from himself. He had never been exactly comfortable in these after-care moments, especially sudden things like this, but he felt fine with Sebastian there. "Are you going to lay back down?" he said once he was done.
Sebastian:
sebastian leaned over the bathroom counter, completely naked and comfortable. he turned on the water and felt over it and waited for it to get warm. "only if you come lay down next to me." he said, poking his tongue into his check. he leaned over and splashed some water on his face. he grabbed a hold of his mouth wash and rinsed out his mouth. "if you need anything use it." he offered. "if you want a toothbrush, i have an extra. just in case for round two." he winked at him.
Blaine:
Blaine watched him go through is cleaning ritual. If it was possible, Blaine was probably even more attracted to him now. He didn't seem to have any care or insecurity like this. The gel had started to come loose, especially around the nape of his neck and his hairline where sweat had collected. "I might at least take you up on the mouth wash."
Sebastian:
sebastian nodded and handed it over to him to take a sip from the bottle like he had done just five minutes ago. sebastian leaned his bare ass against the counter of sink. "are you coming to lay down with me?" he asked in a sweet like manor. "all that energy you've got, i might need to go downstairs and refuel." he laughed.
Blaine:
Blaine took the bottle and did a rinse of his own. Setting it down with a quick thank you, he looked up at Sebastian with a grin and a laugh. “We could definitely grab some more food. Then curl up?” he suggested, stepping a little closer to him.
Sebastian:
the fact that blaine was saying thank you put a smile on sebastian's face. damn this boy's inferno need to be adorable and respectful. sebastian nodded looking back at blaine. he hesitated for a moment. sebastian had the urge to lean over and hiss him. he licked his lips and stared at blaine for a moment. they weren't boyfriends or anything like that, why would sebastian act in such an affectionate way. his mind started to put up blocks as he looked at the ground. he leaned over and grabbed a hold of his boxers and pulled them on. "sure, you want the rest of your dinner, some cream-- excuse me if i don't have any. i've had enough for tonight." he chuckled.
Blaine:
Blaine just looked back at Sebastian, unsure of what the next move would be. He was the kind of person for whom, once a physical barrier was withdrawn, he usually kept it that way. Physically affectionate, he didn't see a reason not to be close to people he cared about, even if this wasn't anything more than sex. Seeing Sebastian start to put layers back on he went to find his underwear from the clothing on the floor. He smirked at the joke. "Sure, maybe," he replied, chuckling with him.
Sebastian:
"i think you're getting comfortable." sebastian commented. "usually you'd be a bright shade of red." he laughed as he reached for blaine's hand to go down the stairs. once he was there, he shuffled through the cabinets to find his snacks. he had himself some thing to eat. he got himself a bottle of water and offered blaine some. he dug around some more and pulled out some fruits. "oh, you want some strawberries?" he asked as he set down the fruit.
Blaine:
Blaine laughed, rubbing his neck. Ironic that being called out for not getting embarrased made him more embarrased than the sex joke. "I think once the blowjob line has been crossed, you have to work a little harder for the blush," he joked, taking his hand. Once in the kitchen, Blaine leaned casually on the counter top, watching Sebastian as he searched and sipping the water. "Strawberries sound perfect right now," he said, giving a nod.
Sebastian:
“Is that a challenge?” He asked. He pulled out the strawberries and washed over them.l with water. He took out the knives and chopped off the tops. He put them on a plate for the two of them. He picked up a big one and stuck the end between his teeth. He leaned forward for Blaine to take the other half.
Blaine:
“I would say yes, but something tells me you’d win pretty quickly,” he giggled, trying to smooth out his hair. He watched Sebastian’s hands as he cut the fruit. He was gorgeous, even just doing little things like this. He smirked as Sebastian leaned for him to Lady and the Tramp-style eat the strawberry. He met Sebastian where he was and sunk his teeth into the rest of the strawberry, careful not to knock their noses together.
Sebastian:
“You know it.” As he cut the fruit he noted Blaines loosened hair. Sebastian laughed when Blaine did his thing. Sebastian leaned on the counter to get a peak at the loosened curls. He reached back to Blaines black hair. His fingers caught a curl.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled, tilting his head towards Sebastian as he touched his hair. “It’s definitely not all loosened, but you got a couple curls free,” he chuckled.
Sebastian:
Sebastian realized he had just flipped his finger through Blaines hair without saying anything. “I didn’t know it was curly.” He mentioned as his fingers laced into the hair that was still stuck to his head. “Makes round two all that more appealing.” Sebastian kept his fingers there and reach for another strawberry.
Blaine:
Blaine chuckled, nodding at his statement. Not a lot of people did. Really only close friends who'd seen him when he woke up in the morning. "Yeah, it's pretty curly. Hense the gel," he explained. He very rarely had any hands but his own in his hair and he couldn't deny how nice it felt to have someone else's touch. He reached for a berry as well. "That curious, huh?"
Sebastian:
Sebastian pulled his hand away. He smirked at the statement. When the berries were finished off, Sebastian took the plate and tossed it in the sink. He reached for Blaines hand again to go upstairs. Sebastian checked the record player again. “Last opportunity to request something before you’re lost in my eyes.”
Blaine:
Blaine liked that Sebastian took his hand to go room to room. There really wasn't any reason for him to do that, so he didn't really know what it meant. That didn't stop it from making him feel flutters in his chest. "Ooo, do you have Let It Be? The album, obviously."
Sebastian:
a smile came to his face as he removed the needle gently. he fixed the records and set the music down low. he stepped backward and then came to the bed. he laid down. he shifted under the quilt that he had for the hot texas summer days.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled as the music started. It was one of his favorite albums. Seeing Sebastian climb back in bed, Blaine followed. He laid down as well, resting on his side and looking acrss at the other. This is nice, he thought to himself.
Sebastian:
without giving it any second thought, sebastian reached his hand back and gave blaine the option of resting on his chest. either way, sebastian was going to get to loosen more and more of blaine's hair, he was absolutely determined. "ready for tomorrow?" sebastian asked him.
Blaine:
Blaine saw the gesture and curled up to him, laying against his chest. "I don't think it's possible to feel ready for something this big. Especially when they've trusted me with the solo," he admitted. "But I think we've got a really great set list. And everyone's working their butts off for it. So I'm optimistic."
Sebastian:
sebastian blinked. "oh yes, adore me right?" sebastian asked. "you're gonna kill it. fyi." he chuckled. "i'm pretty sure it won't be only my panties on the stage."
Blaine:
Blaine nodded at the name of the song, but blushed at the compliment. He was a performer to his core, but it still felt nice to have that kind of approval someone he wanted to like him. "Thanks. I hope so," he replied. "Hope that I kill it. Not hope that there are...panties."
Sebastian:
when blaine blushed, sebastian smiled widely. that was what he was used to. his fingers entangled themselves in the loose threads of blaine's tightly wove hair. his plan to reveal blaine's in glued state was starting to come to life. "why not?" sebastian asked. "are you more of a boxer/briefs kind of guy?"
Blaine:
Blaine could tell that Sebastian was trying to pry the gelled strands apart. Before today, when Sebastian was this untouchable fantasy in his head, the thought would've freaked him out. But now? There was something about the other wanting to see more of him that felt reassuring. "I'm, uh," Blaine said with a laugh, "I think I'm more of an applause kind of guy."
Sebastian:
sebastian held his smile as blaine spoke. "not even roses?" he asked. his fingers slid further up blaine's head.
Blaine:
Blaine chuckled, looking up at him. "Maybe roses. Flowers are always nice," he replied. "Though unnecessary."
Sebastian:
"you're right, you might just get as red as those roses. dunno, if we'll be able to find that cute face in the middle of all of that." sebastian mused with a smirk on the face.
Blaine:
Blaine laughed again definitely proving Sebastian's point. He traced along Sebastian's collarbone with his fingertips. "You really flatter me too much," he said fondly.
Sebastian:
sebastian leaned forward and kissed blaine. his heart buzzed excitedly as he felt those amazing lips again. he kept his eyes opened, as he pressed a bit harder. he released. "you're gonna be great tomorrow." he whispered. "i can't wait to hear you sing."
Blaine:
Blaine returned the kiss, moving his hand to the back of Sebastian's neck. "Thank you. I really hope it lives up to expectation. And I'm really glad you are coming to watch."
Sebastian:
sebastian kept his face close to blaine's. being so close to blaine shook sebastian to his core. he would give absolutely everything to keep blaine there in his bed forever. "anytime." sebastian told him. he rested his head to the side and listened to the sweet tune of the beatles floating in the air. his green eyes softened as he stared at blaine. his fingers continued to move through blaine's hair.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled, keeping his eyes on Sebastian as they sat quietly with each other. He really was gorgeous like this, just relaxed and listening to the music. He could tell he was making some headway with the gel in his hair and found that the touch was comforting. He could only imagine what it would feel like if his hair was free of product and his fingers could glide through unhindered. "I'm really glad you asked me to come over," he said quietly after a few minutes.
Sebastian:
sebastian gazed at him longer. taking in all of the man in his bed right then. sebastian had never done this before. just hang out. usually, he was attempting to find an escape route. and the oddest thing, they didn't even have full on sex. "i'm glad you came." he responded in a rusty voice. "you wanna sleep here?" sebastian asked. "i can take you back in the morning."
Blaine:
Blaine smiled a little wider as Sebastian confirmed that he was enjoying this time as much as Blaine was. His hand reached for one of Sebastian’s, just to hold it. His heart skipped a beat at that question. “I have to be ready pretty early. Are you sure?”
Sebastian:
a smile tugged at the edge of sebastian's lips. "if this were four months ago-- i would be piss drunk right now with a 800 am class. though, it might be kind of hard being drunk off you and waking up." he teased. "but i'll manage as long as you wake me up with a kiss."
Blaine:
While Blaine didn’t like to think of Sebastian partying on a weeknight, the idea that he was something special meant a lot. He leaned up to kiss him at that last statement. He felt like there was no other choice. “I can definitely do that,” he replied, nodding slightly.
Sebastian:
Sebastian smiled and continued to work his way through Blaines hair. “I’m almost through the gel concrete.” He announced. “You gonna be able to sleep on these fluffy curls?”
Blaine:
Blaine laughed shaking his head slightly. “They’re pretty bad right now, huh. Normally I shower to get the gel out.” Blaine reaches up to feel his own hair. Wow.
Sebastian:
Sebastian pleated his hand on blaines. He hummed as he took in the sight of the disheveled Blaine. He had never imagined Blaine untangled and it turned Sebastian on more than ever. This made Sebastian feel that even though Blaine had an air of class around him, there was still this other side of nerdy mess. “It looks good.” He said simply. His eye lids closed about half way. He fought to keep them open.
Blaine:
Blaine shifted so they were in a better position for sleeping. “Thank you,” he replied, running a hand through his hair as best as he could. “I don’t let just anyone see the curls, so you’re very lucky,” he chuckled.
Sebastian:
Sebastian followed Blaines guide and settled into the soft bed. He closed his eyes. “Would you say that these curls are worse than looking at your dick?”
Blaine:
Blaine cocked his head slightly, looking up at him. “are you insulting my dick?”
Sebastian:
"i find entertainment that i've seen you naked but you're worried more about your hair." sebastian rocked as he took away his hand.
Blaine:
Blaine laughed, touching his hair again. "Ah... Well, I guess I can't really explain that. I guess not having the gel makes me feel even more naked."
Sebastian:
sebastian joined in with him. his little spike of energy had started to drain away again. sebastian moved so that his arm curled around blaine's waist. his eye lids fell heavy again. his mind fought against his body sleep. "noted." he mumbled.
Blaine:
Blaine cuddled closer, smiling slightly as he could tell that Sebastian was nearing sleep. "Goodnight, Sebastian," he replied, half starting to wonder if he'd wake up and this was all a dream.
Sebastian:
"good night b." sebastian replied. sebastain's arm went limp on blaine's hip as he relaxed his body.
Blaine:
Blaine didn't fall asleep immediately, just holding Sebastian close of him and thinking about how everything had accelerated that evening. And how glad he was it had. Eventually, he let himself fall asleep, lulled by the warmth of another body against his. When he woke up the next morning to the sound of his alarm ringing from the pocket of his pants that still lay on the floor, it took him a second to place where he was. He sat up groggily, trying to move slowly on the off-chance Sebastian wasn’t waking up to the alarm. He scooped up his pants, pulling out the phone and turning the alarm off. “Shh,” he whispered to it, quickly checking any notifications he had.
Sebastian:
sebastian woke slowly. his eyes adjusted to the bright early morning light. he felt the shift in the bed. rather than saying anything, sebastian lay still-- lulled between more sleep and getting up. however, it was hard to conceal his amusement whenever blaine spoke to his phone. "is there another person in here that i should be aware of?" he asked, he was still laying on his side with his arm over his arm as some way to block out the light.
Blaine:
Blaine chuckled slightly at the comment, looking up to see that Sebastian was awake. "Sorry, it was being loud." He knew it was pretty early, but he'd have to get to the hotel, shower, and change to be ready for 8AM call time. Blaine had never been a morning person and entirely related to the disgruntled way Sebastian was trying to block out the morning light. "Told you it was going to be an early morning."
Sebastian:
sebastian removed his arm and glanced at blaine through the crook of his arm. he couldn't help but get a crack at blaine's look. he knew that blaine was conscience about his hair and his look-- but seeing the half undone, half drenched in old product made him laugh. the picture he saw sent warmth through his body and the energy made sebastian sit up. "well, you should've told me how beautiful you looked in the morning, i would've opened my eyes a lot sooner." he said as he pushed aside the covers. he moved quickly and picked up his jeans and pulled them on. it was pretty easy to find these since they were the only things on the floor. as soon as he was half dressed, he turned to blaine. "here, let's take my car." he offered. "coffee?"
Blaine:
Blaine flattented the hair to his scalp, laughing with a hint of embarrasment. "Please," he said with a wave of his hand. "I look like I need a shower and a lot of coffee," he chuckled, pulling his pants on and then going to find the shirt he'd worn yesterday. "Cool, thank you. I can give you the hotel address. And coffee would be amazing," he stressed, getting the shirt over his head.
Sebastian:
“At your service.” He leaned over and pressed a kiss to Blaines cheek. Sebastian left the room down to the lower levels. He started to work on his favorite drip. He waited for the water to warm up and looked through his fridge for anything like a quick breakfast. He found some sandwiches his mom has bought for him. “Hey Blaine, you want a breakfast sandwich?” He  asked from his position in front of the fridge.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled at the bit of affection. He finished getting himself as put together as he could before following him down the stairs. "Oh, sure, if you have some," he replied, not wanting to take food Sebastian might need. He went over to where his guitar was still splayed out from their makeout session. He started gathering it up and putting it away.
Sebastian:
"is that okay like that?" sebastian asked as he wrapped the sandwich in a towel and placed it in the microwave. after he set the microwave, he went back to his coffee drip and made sure it was working properly. "i don't know much about instruments-- if you need to protect them in their case."
Blaine:
“It’s okay for just an overnight,” he replied with a shrug. Once the guitar was packed, he set it aside and went to stand with Sebastian and watch him get coffee ready. “I just use the case when I take it places. In my room I have a stand. But, yeah, always best in a case so it doesn’t get crushed or something.”
Sebastian:
sebastian pulled out the two to-go cups. he placed them down and separated out the coffee. the microwave beeped. he moved over to grab the breakfast sandwich. he wrapped it in a paper towel. "go to the fridge and pull out whatever cream you want." he told blaine as he started to pour the coffee into the two cups.
Blaine:
Blaine nodded and headed over to the fridge. He pulled out a little container of half and half. “What are you going to do before we go on?” he asked, just making conversation in this somewhat domestic scene they’d created.
Sebastian:
“At least shower.” Sebastian chuckled. It was weird having Blaine there. He realized it in the moment that his mornings were usually filled with music, blasting out of the small blue tooth speakers around his house. Sebastian got the sugar pot for them and adjusted his coffee. “Have breakfast somewhere. Maybe pick up some roses.” He smiled to himself. “You have any thing to prepare before then?” He ask.
Blaine:
Blaine started to add cream and sugar to his coffee. “God, same, that’s the first thing I’m doing,” he chuckled, stirring his drink. The mention of the roses made him glance over at Sebastian with a smile. He assumed he was just joking, but it was still a sweet callback to their earlier conversation. “No, mostly just getting ready for call. Shower, change, get my hair reveled. We did our run through yesterday after we arrived.”
Sebastian:
Sebastian watched Blaine and noted the others coffee preferences. He committed it to memory. Sebastian modded at his words. “Better get you ready then.” Sebastian smiled as he grabbed his phone and his keys. Instead of going out the front door, Sebastian went to the back door where the garage was. He pressed the opener and looked to Blaine.
Blaine:
Blaine took his things and followed Sebastian out the back door. He didn’t think he could be more impressed with this complex, but he was wrong. The fact that there was a back door to a garage? It was really nice. “Thank you, again, for breakfast and the ride back to the hotel.”
Sebastian:
“Do you need some help with your guitar?” Sebastian asked as he walked around the dark blue Cadillac. He opened up the back door for Blaines instrument. “And anytime.”
Blaine:
Blaine thanked him as he opened up the door. “Just that is great,” he confirmed as he lay the case across the back seat. “It’ll be fine like that.” Blaine walked around to the passenger seat. “Beautiful car,” he commented as he climbed inside.
Sebastian:
Sebastian nodded and walked around to the other side and slipped in. “My mom got it for my birthday.” Sebastian told him. He touched the car to start. “Had some issues back when I got it, and it had to go into the shop.”
Blaine:
Blaine got himself buckled and looked over at him. “Wow, great gift,” he replied, admiring the interior. “Oh? What happened with it?”
Sebastian:
“My mom has been taking about replacing the BMW for a while.” Sebastian caught himself. The BMW was only a couple of years old and he knew that mentioning the young age of the car. All of it just made him sound like the rich white boy he was. “Yeah, it was a good present.” He smiled as he backed out carefully. He closed the garage door and drove off to the hotel. His hand rested in the middle counsel and slowly started to drift over to Blaines leg. “Something about it needing a new starter or something. I don’t know.”
Blaine:
Blaine nodded. He’d grown up very well off, so the idea of multiple cars and new ones especially wasn’t that foreign to him. “Really nice,” he said with a nod. Nicer than most cars he’d been in. He noticed Sebastian’s hand getting closer to his leg and looked over at him, smiling just slightly. “Ah, yeah, that happens,” he replied. He didn’t know all that much about cars, but he at least knew what a starter was.
Sebastian:
Sebastian continued on with his hand. Eventually placing it on the top of blaines knees. He kept it there as he turned the steering wheel. “It makes up with its space. This was one of the only cars that’s fit my legs.” He explained. “Even struggled a bit with the BMW sometimes.”
Blaine:
Blaine watched as Sebastian's hand stilled on his knees. It was the sort of casual intimacy that Blaine didn't often experience. It was this kind of little thing...the touches, the freeing of his curls, the music playing in the background of them falling asleep... that Blaine knew was going to make it very hard not to fall for this guy. "You are pretty lanky," he said with a laugh. "Not a problem I relate to, but I imagine it's annoying while driving."
Sebastian:
sebastian snoted with blaine's comment. "oh, believe me, it was either this or something bigger." he said. "but i don't like big cars." he mentioned as his hand lulled lazily on blaine's knee. sebastian hit the break as a truck swooped in front of them. sebastian shot a look of annoyance before hitting the breaks and putting some distance between them. he thought about blaine's word: lanky. he gave a snort to it. "sexy." he commented.
Blaine:
Blaine chuckled at the thought of Sebastian driving some sort of massive SUV. It definitely didn't seem like his style. "Tall guys are sexy, what are you talking about?" he teased. As much as he was teasing him about it, Blaine thought his long legs and frame were one of the hottest things about him.
Sebastian:
suddenly, sebastian's hand moved to the inside of blaine's legs and squeezed his inner thigh hard. he let out a low humf as he took his hand back so that he had two hands on the steering wheel. smoothly, he started to maneuver quickly around in the traffic.
Blaine:
Blaine let out a small sound at the grip against his thigh. And then just like that, his hand was gone. He wasn’t quite sure how to fill the silence that followed, so he just watched the road in front of him. He took a sip of his coffee and nibbles at the food.
Sebastian:
"how is it?" sebastian asked as he got off the highway. "i haven't tried them, but my mom bought them for me."
Blaine:
Blaine nodded as he swallowed. “It’s pretty good,” he confirmed, looking over at him. “Definitely a good choice on her part. And I’m sure better than whatever hotel food everyone else ate this morning.”
Sebastian:
sebastian smiled. "better than fake eggs and weird looking gravy?" he asked, looking over at blaine. "stale cereal? i would never think that of a microwave sandwich."
Blaine:
Blaine chuckled, sipping his coffee again. “I mean, it’s not high culinary level, but definitely better than stale cereal,” he pointed out.
Sebastian:
"i was expecting you to have the high culinary skills." he chuckled as he turned at a light. "i thought about adding a cookie just to show off that i won't be a complete dead beat in the kitchen."
Blaine:
"I mean, I'm definitely not hopeless in the kitchen either. I'm definitely better at baking than I am any other cooking skill," he replied with a smile. "I think between the four of us we'll be able to make some really good stuff," he replied, referring to the house.
Sebastian:
sebastian pulled up to the hotel and glanced over. "you're making me want to skip this whole summer." he looked over at blaine as he shoved the car into park. he paused for a second and looked over at the other. his heart pounded as he thought of something to say to the other. his brain barely even registered the past ten minutes it took to get there. "i don't... um..." his brain was stuck. last night they made out, messed around, and sebastian couldn't grasp this. typically, sebastian would get them an uber and then kick them out. taking blaine home, making his breakfast, giving him coffee-- sebastian didn't want to let this go. he glanced at blaine as he felt his coffee come up. "um... break a leg today." sebastian stretched out his smile at the other.
Blaine:
Blaine smiled. He definitely couldn't wait for the fall either. They arrived at the hotel and Blaine almost didn't want to get out of the car. It had been a great night. Not just because of the kissing or the orgasms, but just because he spent it with Sebastian, feeling like someone cared about him and wanted to be near him. "Thanks," he said, returning his look. "For everything." He got out and went to get the guitar from the back before coming back to the open passenger side door. "I'll see you later?"
Sebastian:
sebastian blinked at blaine. he waited for blaine to go grab his things. his brain started numb out as blaine peaked through the passenger door. he stared at blaine for a minute. he gripped the loose fabric on his jeans. "yeah... you'll see me today."
Blaine:
Blaine gave a slight smile again. "Okay, cool. See you then." Blaine could feel the tension at leaving this night behind. Should they part with a kiss? A wave? It was just a hook-up, right? But, it felt like something more than that. "Okay, uh, bye."
Sebastian:
"bye..." sebastian said. he couldn't help but feel the awkward moment. there was something he wanted to do, he wanted to tell blaine to come back and stay with him. he wanted to follow blaine up stairs and continue to feel through that fluffy frizz hair and listen to him warm up. he lifted his hand up and waved at blaine.
Blaine:
Blaine returned the wave and shut the car door, stepping back so Sebastian could peel away. He knew he had to hurry upstairs and take a shower, change, start making sure his voice and body were ready for today, but he stayed for a moment to watch him peel away.
Sebastian:
Sebastian stared at Blaine for a moment. Maybe he should get out and hug Blaine, kiss him, or... something. But Sebastian just push himself into drive and Sebastian pulled away from him.

Have I known you twenty seconds or twenty years? Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home, you're my, my, my, my lover
Y/N absolutely loved weddings, she loved seeing the look of the groom whenever the bride walked down the aisle, all the beautiful flowers, the food, the atmosphere in itself was something she adored. However, most of her friends were either single or not ready to go the distance so she only got to go to family weddings that was until she met Sebastian. Most of Sebastian’s friends were married or to be married which gave her the excuse to go to the wedding and Sebastian the excuse to show off his girlfriend.
That was what they were doing today. They were getting ready to go to one of Sebastian’s old university flat mates. Sebastian, per usual, got ready the first while Y/N took her regular routine of laying down in bed until he pushed her out of it telling her they were late. Y/N adored sleeping and even with a wedding on the schedule, she would still do her best to sleep in and then would take longer.
This was why he was now in his living room with his friend Chase who was driving them to the wedding, waiting for her to get ready.
    - How come you still have your Christmas lights up? It’s January. - he pointed out the Christmas lights hanging by the bookshelf wall, still flickering in all its white and yellow light glory.
    - Y/N likes to have them up. - Y/N had been the one to give up her flat to move in with him. Sebastian thought that after ten years of living in the same flat meant no new could come in, at least he did until she moved in. He remembered one of his friends saying that once your girlfriend moves in, your house becomes a home and that certainly was true about Y/N. She didn’t change anything about his flat, she liked his flat, however, he had to admit he couldn’t help but smile whenever he saw her things mixed with him. From her “Finishing the Hat” book sat next to all of his in the bookshelf, the vanilla candles she would leave around every room to how she would refuse to take the Christmas lights off and would be upset for a few days right after the Christmas tree was taken down. He couldn’t picture his flat without Y/N in it anymore.
   - You got it bad, man. - Chase elbowed him playfully in the side. - At least your house smells good.
   - I’m 100% sure she has 20 candles hidden in this room.
   - Wrong, I have 50. - Y/N came up from behind him, wrapping her arms around him. Sebastian turned around to stare at his girlfriend. She was a beautiful woman even when she woke up during her worse days but she looked straight out of a fashion magazine. She had her hair up with some daisies scattered around and was wearing a rose dress that perfectly flowed down her stunning figure. On her ears were the tiny pearl earrings Sebastian had given her for Christmas which she wore all the time. - I think we’re ready to go.
The wedding wasn’t too far away, it was located on a small garden just outside of NY. They were one of the first ones to arrive which left Y/N with enough time to look around the gardens along with Sebastian.
   - Look a wild rose. - she pushed him by his wrist to a place where some wild roses had started to bloom. - I’ve never seen one without being in a florist.
  - Here. - he plucked it out from the bush, putting it along with the daisies she had along her hair. - Now you have a wild rose in your hair.
  - We need to get ourselves a garden. - she cuddled against his side as they walked to where the ceremony was gonna play out. It was under a stone arch covered with green leaves and wild flowers. Sebastian was one of the best men while Y/N was merely a plus one. - Right, now you go up there and do your job of looking like the best best man ever created.
  - I’d rather have you with me. - he said as one of her hands fixed his suit and the other the flower on his pocket. - If I start looking bored please make something.
  - Like what? - she giggled. One of his friends came to call him up to lead him to where the bridal party was waiting. Sebastian kissed Y/N goodbye, leaving her to pick a sit by the entrance. The music began and Y/N turned to see her boyfriend along with one of the bridesmaids walk in. Sebastian gave her a toothy smile as he took his place by the groom’s left.
The music changed to the Canon in D, the bride at the end of the aisle to which Y/N’s attention was immediately redirected. On the other hand, Sebastian instead of looking at the bride who was walking down the aisle or to his friend who was finally getting married after 11 years of dating, was looking at Y/N. His eyes were almost glued on her, how her hair strands had started to fall from her updo, the flower radiance in the sun and how she always had that serene smile that made him feel like home. Her eyes found his as the bride reached her groom, the most enamoured look on their faces.
The rest of the ceremony was just like all others with the same vows and the same words and in no time, Sebastian was walking back with the bridesmaid, immediately separating from her once he could to go meet up Y/N who was holding two champagne flutes, extending one to him once he got close.
  - A woman after my own heart. - he raised his flute to her, cheering, making her roll her eyes. Sebastian placed his arm around her waist, walking with her to reception. Reception was easily Sebastian’s favourite part with the free food, open bar and dancing til his feet feel of. He would even sometimes get Y/N, who wasn’t a big fan of dancing in front of everyone, to do some silly dances with him. However, it would always end up with him silly dancing with his friends trying to make her laugh.
After a while of silly dancing, drinking and feeling like his feet were gonna kill him, he joined his girlfriend at the table who was snacking on some strawberry tarts.
  - Hey. - he kissed her cheek. - Save some of those for me will you.
  - You cannot, Seb. - she pointed her fork at him. - Bucky regime.
  - But just this one time. - Y/N called his workout and diet for the preparation of Bucky Barnes, Bucky regime. Whenever he tried to break away from it she would scream it out loud, or eat the donut in his hand.
  - You already had a cheat day, Seb.
  - I guess I’ll just have to taste it from you. - he leaned to kiss her, tasting the sugary syrup that had remained on her lips. She chuckled, wrapping her arms around him. - You look so pretty, Y/N.
  - Thank you, love. - she leaned against his shoulder, both of them watching the bride and groom dance to a slow dance. - You look very handsome too.
  - Let’s get married. - she tilted his head, wondering if the champagne had finally reached the decision part of his brain.
  - Shotgun? Vegas? - Y/N endulged him, thinking it was a joke, but it was everything but a joke. Sebastian took her hand in his, taking the silver band she had bought when they went to Greece. - Aluminium ring, it is.
  - I’m serious. When I was up there by his side all I could think about is waiting for you at the aisle someday. I wanna marry you. I promise I’ll save you a seat at every table, I’ll pretend you’re sick whenever you don’t wanna go to your university reunions, save the best dirty jokes I know for you and to wake up looking at you every morning.
  - Seb ... - she wrapped her arms around him, trying not to start crying and take attention away from someone’s special day. - Of course I’ll marry you.
  - Watch the bouquet. - Y/N could only hear the bride scream it out before a bouquet of roses and wild lilies hit Sebastian in the head. She held in a laugh as he grabbed it up, waving it on the air. - Aw, watch out Sebastian, looks like you’re the next to get married.
  - You betcha.
Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? With every guitar string scar on my hand, I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover. My heart's been borrowed and yours has been blue. All's well that ends well to end up with you, swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover. And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me, and at every table, I'll save you a seat, lover

He is half of my soul, as the poets say. /Blaine Self Para. February 20, 2020
Para: He is half of my soul, as the poets say.
Rating: PG.
Pairing: Blaine and his troubles. His father, Will,  makes an appearance. Mentions of a past, very brief and kinda toxic relationship with Kurt Hummel.
When: February 20, 2020
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Notes: Blaine can’t keep his mind from wandering to terrible places. His father brings news that causes him more strife.
Warnings: Sad Blaine? I don’t know. Not really Kurt friendly but, this is a Seblaine rp so, you’ve been warned. <3
OOC Notes: I tried to make this simple. I’m terribly sorry if I’ve confused anyone.
Blaine was normally an extremely happy guy. He’d been fun and full of too much positive energy his entire life. There had only been one time in his twenty-three years that he could recall not being able to summon the sunshine. And even then, when his mother, who was his Home, had been ripped away from him he pretended to shine and then cried alone in his room. He spent his teen years after her death pretending to be like any normal kid. Or as normal a kid as he could be considering he was a witch. It took him a long time to admit that all the things he did then were just ways for him to cope. He didn’t do a great job.
Like when he and Sam would steal the whiskey from his father's stash, as if he wouldn’t know, and sneak down to the river where Blaine would hide the bottle away from his best friend and refill it for them each time it would get close to empty and they’d drink it until they were sick. Or when he left his Ohio home to go on one of Sam’s McKinley High field trips that lasted three days, glamouring himself as a student, and didn’t tell his father, letting him worry for days.
Or when he’d let himself be Kurt Hummel’s freaking trophy witch for months. Letting the other boy put thoughts into his head about how even though they weren’t Fated that maybe they should stay together anyway because why not? And besides, no one could possibly understand Blaine better than him considering Kurt’s mother had also died when he was young. She didn’t waste away but, it was still terrible so of course he understood whole heartedly. Turns out Kurt really didn’t. Or if he did he was bad at showing it.
Sure. They’d had fumblings in the woods and sneaks in bedrooms with the doors set up to alarm them if their respective fathers came home. That part was fun at least. It was the very public dates where Kurt would introduce Blaine as “Blaine Anderson, you know, of Willem Anderson fame? His father is a Descendant.” His voice just polite enough to hide its condescending nature from the world. The tinkling little lilt that, for a very short time, made Blaine kind of smile, had started to grate on him more and more and he finally had to cut off the fling when Kurt went a step too far and introduced him as “ Blaine Anderson, you know, his mother’s a hero. Sacrificed herself all for a human stranger…” It was the little shrug like it was no big deal that had done it for Blaine. He’d given a head shake and a laugh of disbelief and left. Because at the end of the day it didn’t matter how sad or lonely he was, he was worth more than being some pretty boy’s boasting right.
Still, it took him years to feel good again. To feel even a little how he felt before she died. Sure, he let his smile come back slowly over the years and the move to Boston. And he let himself make friends at LeFey once he figured out they weren’t just hanging around because he was semi famous for two very different reasons. He felt good enough and seventy five percent himself during his years in Boston. It wasn’t until his beautiful Sebastian, who was actually the fucking sun, and his companion and ball of love, Ras came barreling into his life that he felt whole again. They brought that light and happiness full force back into his life. And now, because of something so stupid it felt like it was going to crumble. Like it was made of the thinnest crystal and one little tap would shatter it. Lately it felt like the sun was setting and nothing he did could stop it. The only time he could preserve it was when he was with Sebastian and no matter what he did there wasn’t a plausible way he could be with him every second without raising the concerns of his father and the Council and from the looks of it… His father knew. Maybe.
The man was pacing his office in front of Blaine, not saying anything but the words seemed to be stuck behind his teeth and if Will Anderson were to open his mouth something negative and harsh would come tumbling out. And it would be directed at him. Blaine sat, Freya sitting at attention on a stool next to him, at his desk, the one he’d spent the last few months learning advanced forms of magic. Potions that only the highest witches were allowed to use, charms and curses and how to break them and detect them. He was supposed to go out into the field next year. As in leave America in favor of England. It was something he didn’t want to think about. He sat there quietly and just watched while his father walked back and forth in front of the ancient stone window in his Headmaster’s office. He waited, dread filling his heart with each sisk of Will’s expensive shoes on the floor as he turned. This was it. Will was going to tell him that he knew all about Sebastian and he was going to try and make him leave him. He was going to threaten Sebastian or something and Blaine didn’t know if he could match his father’s advanced High Witch status but he’d damn well try. He even loosened up his fingers just in case he needed his hands.
Turns out he didn’t need them. Will Anderson turned, gave Blaine a nod, and then sat down on the edge of Blaine’s desk. His ankles crossed, fingers laced loosely together. “When was the last time you played your violin, Blaine?” His father asked, his voice smooth and clear. Blaine face scrunched up in confusion for a moment and he quickly had to rearrange his face to be more relaxed.
“The violin? I don’t know, a year ago?” It had been almost exactly a year ago, actually. Just after he told Seb that he was a witch. He’d be absently tuning and playing the old instrument when he turned around to put it away and his boyfriend was standing stupefied in the doorway. Blaine hadn’t even been trying to use magic and still it had charmed his boyfriend. There was a reason Blaine didn’t play it anymore. He'd practically been born playing the thing. All music, really. But, the violin was the first one he’d picked up and it was like breathing to him. When he used to go to the Charles River and play his guitar or keyboard for the people to calm them he never chose the violin because it was far too powerful and he charmed or healed too much even when he didn’t mean to. “You know I don’t like to play it often. It’s too risky.”
Will fixed him with a exasperated look. “Well perhaps if you spent more time at LeFay practicing instead of gallivanting around Massachusetts then you wouldn’t have to hide your magic so much.” Blaine opened his mouth to protest, all the sudden angry that his father assumed to know anything about his life especially when he knew damn well that his mother had always insisted they mingle with humans and not get so wrapped up in a purely magical world. She probably hadn’t intended for him to fall in love with a human but, well, Fate happened.
Before Blaine could speak up however, Will raised his hand to silence him. “I don’t care to hear your excuses. You’re going to do what you want, I know. But, you need to listen. There’s been some unrest in the community. Strange sightings in foreign countries, magic sprinkled in places it shouldn’t be.”  Will cleared his throat and gave Blaine a pointed look. And Blaine could almost swear that his father knew that he was the reason.
He took a deep breath and shrugged. “Stuff like this happens in the magic community all the time, dad-” He was abruptly cut off by his father standing suddenly, causing Freya to step in front of Blaine’s chest as if to protect him. His father watched her for a moment before speaking. “Hmm. It’s good that you’re so close to her… All of that being said, stuff like this does not happen often. Not to this degree… I asked about the violin because I think you should start using it more. You’re powerful with it. Did you know the Oracles are stirring? Of course not, you’re never here. However, you might need that power to protect us from any sort of threats that might come our way.”
“The Oracles? That doesn’t necessarily mean anything, dad.” It did though, and Blaine knew it. Were they going to start spitting out details of his and Seb’s life together? Were they going to tell the world that Hunter and Tony had helped them along? Why were they so important that Oracles were getting involved. He felt sick and once again wondered how any people would get hurt all because he fell in love with a human. As if he could help it. “You’re acting as if we’re going to have to go to war or something. It’s not 1692 anymore.” He attempted to joke but, knew it was in bad taste. He couldn't help it. He was terrified.
Will wasn’t having any of this. “103 year old Edna has been spitting out random words all the way over in Wales that nobody can make out. No amount of magic is moving her along towards her tellings. She keeps shutting down and starting back up. While three year old Zoe is so fussy and confused and babbling gibberish her parent’s couldn’t take it and felt the need to call it in. I don’t know what it means but I do know it means that something is coming. Something big. And I need you to be prepared. You need to start taking all of this seriously, Blaine.” Will leaned forward, his eyes softening for a moment as he really looked at his son and for just a second, a glimpse of his old dad and Blaine though he might touch his shoulder and say something kind. But, he shouldn’t have gotten his hopes up. Will stood up straight and made his way back to his desk where he sat down and instantly busied himself with work. “Now, I expect you here and learning more often. Not doing gods know what around the city. You’ll be here at five am tomorrow morning. Do you understand?” He spared a look up long enough to see Blaine nod, swallowing hard as he focused on Freya’s worried silver eyes as opposed to his dad's stormy blues. His dad gave a curt nod. “You may go.”
Blaine scooped up Freya, he didn’t need to, she was capable of keeping up, but he wanted something solid in his arms. He wanted to feel relief that what his dad knew wasn’t for sure about him and Sebastian. Only maybe. But, he only felt dread. Why were the Oracles stirring? If the Witches Council and The Order were exchanging information there must be more than just the Paris incident to look at. Had they seen Sebastian and him elsewhere? Was Blaine leaving magic traces? Blaine had always prided himself on being careful. But, if he could get caught in Paris then what the hell else was he messing up?
He tried not to think too much about it as he cautiously popped himself and Freya into Sebastian’s apartment. Ras greeting the two of them with fervor. His boyfriend wouldn't be home for hours but, Blaine needed to feel close to him. Needed to remember that they were real and worth the fight. The apartment felt and smelled so much like the him that he started to relax just a little bit as soon as he walked into the kitchen.
He made himself some Chamomile with a dash of calming magic in the kettle Seb had gotten him. Smiling softly to himself at the not so distant memory of Seb remembering that Chamomile was for calming a person down as he told Blaine to drink some. He drank his tea down as he slipped off his shoes and curled up on his side of the couch. The pup tucking himself behind his legs and Freya settling on the arm next to his head. He pulled the familiar and comforting Harvard blanket over him and Ras and let himself drift off to sleep to the soothing sounds of  pup snores and Prince Henry bantering with Danielle. He told himself that he just needed to calm down. But, in reality, Sebastian and everything he touched was his sanity right now. The only bright thing in a dark day. Being near him and in his home almost took away the pain of thinking too hard about the possibility of losing him. So he let himself sleep off the conversation with his dad.
And when Seb came home later he didn’t tell his boyfriend about Oracles or the conversation or magic trails. He just pretended it was all okay and allowed himself to press kisses into Sebastian’s skin and then lose himself in Sebastian’s embrace. This was his. And this was theirs. Here he didn’t have to think about Sebastian hurt, or Sebastian loosing his mind, or Sebastian alone... Blaine could let himself think that the Council and the Order couldn't touch them when they were together like this. And as long as he believed that, they’d be okay.
They had to be.

Better Than This: Forever & For Always (Sebastian Stan x Musician! Reader)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sebastian Stan x Reader
Rating: PG-13
Warning(s): Fluff & Middle Finger
Word Count: 1,045
Info: This is day 3 of 7 days of drabbles to celebrate what would have been my Mum’s 60th birthday. Each drabble is based on a song that reminds me of my Mum. Bey @coffeebucko ucko makes an appearance!
Synopsis: At Y/N Grandmother’s birthday party Sebastian has an extra birthday gift and the whole family but Y/N is in on it.
Day 3 - Forever & For Always | Shania Twain
Their morning started at dusk, where they took Ellie their Sheltie, for a walk and on the way back to their apartment they stopped at Starbucks. Once they had shared a shower and they got the okay from Bey to pick them up from their friends place they hit the road to grab Sebastian’s mom Georgeta. They made it to Y/N’s grandparents in Lake George, by noon, beating a few of her family members.
When they got there, Y/N’s grandparents were sitting on the front porch with some of the great-grandkids who played on bikes and scooters. Josephine, Y/N’s grandmother got off the porch swing and meet the group at the car, a huge smile on her as she held little Josie hand in hers. Bey jumped out first hugging their grandmother who laughed before watching as Bey picked up their cousin Josie, talking about getting cookies. After she had greeted the rest of the car, she leads them into the house where Eugene followed behind with the kids tagging along. Soon everyone was spoiling lunch with Grandma's cookies.
By the time it came to Josephine’s birthday dinner there were about 30 bodies in the backyard enjoying the food. Bey sat at the little kid's table with a newspaper hat on their head telling the kids the story of Peter Pan. Sebastian sat beside Y/N on a daybed where along with Ellie and their new sheltie Cerberus, which had been a gift to Sebastian from Josephine and Eugene. Everyone was now slowly relaxing around fire pit Y/N father, Charles and his brother James had built.
“Sebastian, don’t you have another gift for Grams?” Bey waddled over with Josie hanging on one leg while Lulu hung on another, the kids giggling. Y/N looked at Bey like they were crazy, but Sebastian jumped up from the daybed letting Bey take his place while he reached over pulling Y/N up from her spot. Confused she got up while she noticed her family starting to pull their phones out, as Sebastian got down on his right knee.
“Sebba, what are you doing?” Bey giggled to Y/N’s right. An acoustic guitar started strumming from somewhere off in the distance, starting to make the setting suddenly romantic, with the string lights hanging from her grandparent's trees, the fire going.
“Y/N the first day we meet was on the Subway, you sat with your violin case between your legs, maroon cable knit scarf wrapped around your neck and these huge cat ear headphones covering your ears. I remember thinking, ‘God she’s so beautiful.’ Then our eyes met and you smiled, I knew right then and there I had to say something.” Y/N gazed lovingly at Sebastian who was now holding her hands in his as he stared up at her, as her family and his mom watched on.
“You’ve taught me so much since our first date, where you took me to see George Balanchine’s, The NutCracker. We sat in the second ring to the left, where you did what my mother tried to do my whole life. You had me listening to the music, had me seeing and feeling it tell the story. Soon your music became my favorite, I could feel the story you told, it was nothing like I had experienced before.” Y/N wiped a tear from her eye and before returning her hand to Sebastian’s giving him a loving squeeze.
“I don't think I really know what love was till you showed me it. You showed me it in the way you smile at my lame jokes, the way you place butterfly kisses on my cheeks in the morning when I don't want to get out of bed. You showed me what love was in the way you stare at me with compassion, showing me that my voice and opinion truly matters. Most of all you brought me, my mom, also my family into your family. I love it all so much.” Sebastian kissed Y/N’s hands before letting them go, he reached into the pocket of his blue jeans pulling out a blue velvet ring box. Y/N’s hands now covered her mouth.
“Finally the good part!” clapping their hands Bey jumped up and down on the daybed but laughed when Josephine threw a pillow at them.
“Y/N, I know with everything in me that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up next to you with those butterfly kisses and whispers of love. I want to look into your eyes every time I see you and feel at home no matter where we are. Y/N with you be my forever and for always?” Sebastian opened the ring box, there sitting in the middle of white satin was a beautiful ring with moonstone in the middle, three diamonds on top and bottom with crescent moons facing outward on each side, the band had little jewels around it. It was the perfect ring.
“Y/N answer him please, so the poor guy can get off his knee, Lord knows my knees were giving out at his age already.” Y/N’s dad Charles broke the silence that hung in the air, making Sebastian laugh and Y/N.
“You better say yes, it took 8 hours to find that ring, also I don't want to have to split holidays between the two of you. On second thought, that means more presents, Y/N tell him no.” once again Bey found pillows being thrown at themselves, Ellie and Cerberus jumping off the daybed barking.
“Sebastian, I can't think of a better way to spend the rest of my life than with you. Kiss me before my Grandma hits us with her cane.” getting up off the ground Sebastian’s knee popped making him laugh along with the older people before he pecked Y/N on the lips.
“I was honestly looking forward to twice the gifts, now all I have to look forward to is using my noise-canceling headphones tonight,” Bey grumbled as Sebastian placed the engagement ring on Y/N’s finger. Without Josephine and Georgeta seeing both Sebastian and Y/N flipped Bey off with smiles on their face.

Singing and Mysteries
Who: Sebastian Smythe and Topher Hummel Where: Vice Provosts' Garden When: August 23rd, Afternoon
Christopher
Topher normally didn't hang out in the Vice Provosts' garden, but it was a lovely day out and that apparently put him in the mood to switch things up. He'd settled down on a bench with his cane set at his side while his guitar case rested on the ground in front of him. It took a few moments of experimental tuning before he got it back to normal. Then it was another short period of silence before a song finally popped into his head.
"You have my heart and we'll never be worlds apart," Topher started off with a quiet voice, barely audible while he recalled the lyrics. "Maybe in magazines, but you'll still be my star. Baby, 'cause in the dark you can't see shiny cars." He continued to sing and strum along while his volume slowly increased along with his confidence. He enjoyed moments like these where he got to turn his mind off for a moment in order to just enjoy some music.
Sebastian
Sebastian had just finished another long Lacrosse practice. It was clear the team was exhausted but Bas was so determined to win this final game he would do almost anything, and that was how he found himself walking through the Vice Provosts' Garden. Sebastian wouldn't usually be see dead eating in the School cafeteria but tonight he was far to tired to think about cooking back at his apartment so here he was taking a shortcut through the gardens to the cafeteria building. Sebastian was thinking about anything that could give them an edge in the game coming up when he heard someone singing a familiar song accompanied by the sound of a guitar.
Bas looked around the garden and his eyes caught the sight of one of his recent finds; Topher Hummel. Bas grinned and changed direction towards the boy on the bench. Sebastian leaned against the wall behind the bench Topher was sat on, letting his eyes close and the music wash over him, it was a secluded spot that allowed him a moment to get out of his own head which wasn't something Bas afforded himself very often these days after losing his artistic outlets.
Bas leaned over Topher's shoulder when his song was finished, "Hey there handsome" Sebastian greeted with his most charming smile and silky voice.
Christopher
Sebastian's voice almost made Topher jump a mile high yet he only gave a small smile as he glanced up. "Hey stranger," he greeted with an easygoing smile despite the light pink blush that painted itself on his cheeks while he moved in order to place the guitar in its' case. Next, the Creative Writing major shifted on the bench in order to give Sebastian room to sit. His text conversation with Kurt flashed like a warning the back of his mind yet he turned it off for the time being. Topher would always treat people with kindness unless they gave him a reason not to which hadn't happened so far in his opinion. "Somebody should put a bell on you, you know? So you don't go startling people with heavy musical instruments."(edited)
Sebastian
Sebastian let out a short burst of laughter, he hadn't exactly been trying to scare Topher, but hadn't exactly been trying to advertise his presence either. He couldn't hid the grin on his face seeing the splash of color rise in Topher's cheeks, it was nice to still be able to make men blush like that, especially handsome men. College guys were a lot harder to make blush than boys in high school who were often visiting a gay bar for the first time and had certainly never experienced someone like Sebastian hitting on them. His conquests had been like a game to him but now he was starting to feel like he was losing Kat, his only real family, to Hunter, his only really close friend, he was spending more time with new people just to feel less alone.
Bas watched Topher lay down his guitar and hoped over the back of the bench to sit down. He wasn't afraid to show off his athletic body. "It wouldn't be any fun if you knew I was coming, I like it to be a surprise." Sebastian winked, that part of him definitely hadn't, and probably wouldn't, ever change. "Not to worry I wouldn't let a beautiful object like that be broken," Bas responded eyeing the guitar. Piano had always been his forte but he could definitely still remember a few things about guitar playing. He did miss his music.
Christopher
"What a gem," Topher responded as he gave a charming smile of his own once his cheeks had gone back to their normal color. It was amazing how easily he blushed nowadays, whenever a guy so much as smiled at him in a friendly way. "But I can understand wanting to surprise people at the very least. That's something I love to do for my family and friends. Sweep them off their feet with a cool thing or two."
He then added, "But you probably don't want to hear me waxing poetic about that." Topher leaned over for a moment in order to close up the case then moved it closer to him for easier access in case he stood up in the near future. "What brings you swinging by this little pocket of campus if you don't mind me asking? Kinda looks like you just left a practice session. You on one of the teams?"
Sebastian
"I am not just a gem, I'm a fucking delight," Seb laughed, feeling more comfortable. Bas had been slightly on edge since his encounter with Jaxon a few days ago, he had not realized how someone could take his advances so innocently and now he was being more cautious with his words and actions, he didn't want to feel that guilt ever again. Never did Bas want to become one of those people who did anything to a person they didn't want to do. "Oh so you're a Prince Charming then, ready to save a girl from her dragon guarded tower and sweep her off her feet?" He retorted, enjoying playfully chatting with Topher.
"Oh I can enjoy poetry as much as the next man," Bas shot back, finally taking his eyes from the guitar and bringing his thoughts back from his current problems to the younger man beside him, letting himself enjoy some new company. "Yeah we just finished practice. I'm Lacross Captain, Co-Captain I mean to say or 'Tana will have my balls." He chuckled, brushing his freshly washed  hair from his face. and letting the strap of his gear bag fall to the ground at his feet. "I believe I was trying to sign you up for world languages club when we met, shame you didn't see me the day I was doing the demonstration for fencing, I'm actually a coach for the team and my pants are so tight it wouldn't have taken this long for us to run into each other again." Seb winked. "How's Freshman life treating you? All the freedom and alcohol you ever dreamed?"
Christopher
That got a hearty chuckle out of Topher as he listened then gave a nod. "Or anybody who needs rescuing from a dragon guarded tower really. It's 2019, I could save a fellow prince without intensive questioning," he remarked. Funny how they were talking about dragon guarded towers when he felt like his mind and heart could serve as literal examples. But that got brushed off as he turned his attention back to listening.
He managed a playful eye roll which was soon followed by a low whistle. "Damn, but hey, if she's just as fierce on the field then imagine the team is rolling in the wins. Then yeah, sounds about right for our first face to face meeting." He lightly scrubbed his hand over his face in order to hide the returning blush until it faded just as quickly. "As for freshman life, definitely got the freedom and alcohol if so desired. You don't want to see me after four or five beers though. That's when the terrible pick up lines start getting tossed out. How're things with you?"
Sebastian
"Luckily for me they don't often lock up the princes' so that makes my life easier." Bas smiled, the conversation with Topher was easy, Bas was sad he hadn't run into Topher again before now, maybe this was his chance to have a friend not just a hookup.  "I'm not exactly locked up but I could be if that's what you were into," Bas winked and laughed, he couldn't stop his mind from wanting Topher as a hook up, even if he was wondering about the possibility of friendship. Bas had never actively sought out a friend before and he wondered if he was losing his mind; or if 'Tana really had already taken his balls.
"Save the whistle for my Fencing gear, I've got 'Tana under control. We've had a strong season but we need to win this last game. We are having a school spirit week for the lead up to the final so I hope you'll /come/ join us at some of the events." Bas responded, chuckling as Topher clearly tried to hide the returning blush. "Nothing like getting out on your own for the first time is there?" Bas nodded, he remembered heading to college for the first time and the blessing that it was to finally be making his own path, until now when he was back under his father's rule. "Oh I definitely want to see you after 4 or 5 beers, when's that happening?" He retorted with a smirk and mischievous look in his eyes.
Christopher
"Yeah, that is a pretty rare occurrence," Topher agreed then playfully rolled his eyes yet again. The conversation was definitely coming very easily and everything just seemed to fall into place, like it did with all of his loved ones. But there was definitely something gnawing at the back of his mind that he couldn't shake. All the same, he definitely would never turn down the chance for a friendship and hoped that this would help increase the amount of contact they had. He soon fired back, "That's not in my wheelhouse. Sweeping people off their feet and treating them right, whether it's platonic or romantic, then you've got the right guy."
He considered the idea of turning up to some of the spirit week events while he tried to take his mind off the other flirtatious comment. "Might be able to make some time for that. Then there something that is both amazing yet incredibly daunting about being on our own for the first time. Freedom has plenty of pros and cons to it," he rattled off then made a show of pinching the bridge of his nose. "Sometime around never. Trust me when I say that it's a disaster waiting to happen and for multiple reasons, especially now." He made a vague gesture to the cane on the other side of the bench then his right leg.
Sebastian
"Who needs a fairytale and all that love crap anyway, the real world is much more interesting anyway. Those stories are all so predictable, what would be the point in knowing exactly what's going to happen." Bas responded, just letting his thoughts roll out. He didn't care about finding love and all of the nonsense like everyone else seemed to, it only ended in ruin anyway in his experience, his parents weren't divorced but they didn't seem to love or care for him the way books and movies said kids should be loved so he was certain their marriage was a failure too. "Well if I ever find myself locked up I know who to call." Bas laughed, trying to forget all that sappy stuff.
"It will be fun, which of course you know because I will be there, and some inside knowledge for you, I'm planning an 'impromptu' winners celebration at the fraternity house on Friday, I know we are going to win so why not make sure it will be the best party?" He responded with a laugh. Sebastian had always believed he could make things happen through sheer will-power but it wasn't just will-power, it was working the team hard so nothing could ruin this for him. "Freedom is the greatest thing, you can be yourself and screw anyone who says you should hide it!" Bas retorted firmly. He had grown as a person and realized life was too short to be anything but your honest self. "Oh I'm sure it will be fun, especially if you get yourself a prince for the night to help you out." Seb laughed. "Not going to be an ass and ask what happened but you can tell me if you want," Bas shrugged, not being the best at dealing with feelings and emotions he would usually just avoid caring but after talking with Jaxon last week he was a little more confident.
Christopher
Topher nodded in agreement yet he also remarked, "Some people find comfort in things being predictable. But if you ever need bailing out of jail or some similar situation then just hit me up." He took a moment to pull his phone out then opened a new note in order to write down his phone number. He shifted the device so Sebastian could see it as he added, "Goodness knows we could all use a few more people in our corner for whatever reason."
"Well, I may have to swing by just for a little bit. I'm heading home for the holiday weekend though so I wouldn't be able to partake in celebratory drinking with everybody," Topher answered then couldn't help a bright smile when he noticed Sebastian's tone of voice. "Couldn't agree more on that. We all wear different masks and play different parts in other people's lives. Once we break away from that though and start living our truth, it's an incredible thing." It suddenly dawned on him that he hadn't exactly been the most subtle about the fact he might not be straight, but on the other hand, he couldn't bring himself to care. "Prince, princess, nonbinary royalty. Whoever is willing to keep an eye on my dumb ass for a night and prove their trustworthiness. Then as for the story, got it boiled down to a science. It was my senior year of high school, friend and I had gone to a party during winter break and were tired as hell coming home. Turns out there was another driver who was practically falling asleep behind the wheel. Rammed right into us, but the passenger side mostly which is where I was."
Sebastian
"What's the point of predictable though? Why even bother living, if I knew exactly how my life was going to end I'd just give up now." Sebastian retorted. He was more passionate about this than anyone ought to bother being but he had already been forced to change his path in life to fit his parents wishes and the idea of ending up like them made him angry to the point of tears, but he wasn't going to cry, especially not in front of a near stranger. "Is that what they say about me then? Sebastian Smythe, destined for jail. Sure I'd make a hot jail bird but I have my sights set just slightly higher." Bas laughed, though his eyes betrayed him, so many people, especially teachers, thought his attitude meant he had no work ethic and no aspirations but he surprised them all.
"Well now you've got me heartbroken Topher, I was looking forward to saving you a dance." Sebastian winked, he sure was looking forward to having some fun with the younger man sometime soon. "Yes it is, you won't ever see me hiding in a closet despite what some assholes want to say to me, and woe betide anyone who tries to mess with someone coming out around me." Bas nodded firmly. He never usually talked about his thoughts or feelings on these kinds of subjects but he felt like Topher was someone who could easily listen and not go running to tell everyone he knew.
Sebastian sat silently dumbfounded, it sounded like a horrible experience and this was definitely something he had no idea how to respond to. "But look at you now up and running," he chuckled, trying to gloss over the moment. Redirection was his usual tactic.
Christopher
Topher gave a small shrug before he responded, "Some people just like to chill out in their comfort zones and all the more power to them. But I'm personally right there with you on that note. Then I don't pay much attention to the gossip grape vine when it comes to other people. I like to base my opinion on personal experience." He lightly shook his head in mock exasperation before he added with a light chuckle, "Let me see if I can get back up to speed first then we can talk about saving each other dances. Not sound like I'm bragging, but I used to be able to tear up the dance floor in the best possible way."
He managed another chuckle before he nodded and stated, "My physical therapist told me to think of every step as a milestone. Wise words although it takes a bit longer than it used to in order to clock a mile. Totally worth it though because I got lucky and just got a slap on the wrist from lady fate. Get to keep trucking on through life, making memories, friends, whatever sappy spin somebody might want to put on it." He debated saying something else on the matter or related to a different one then instead questioned, "Do you maybe want to hang out sometime soon? Once the holiday weekend is over and all that?"
Sebastian
"Yeah I suppose they can do whatever they want...judge not lest ye be judged or something " Bas replied shaking his head and rolling his eyes. "I'm just glad to meet someone who is not as dull as everyone else the way they all follow the crowd. I know plenty of people here have opinions on me, your last name is Hummel, isn't it?" Bas chuckled, wondering what Kurt would say if he saw Sebastian talking with his brother and hitting on him.
"I'm sure you'll be running circles around the rest of the boring freshman in no time, and brag all you want, I enjoy watching a good show" Bas winked. He reached his arms out along the back of the bench and mindlessly played with the collar of Topher's shirt. Sebastian made a "hm" noise of agreement, he had distracted himself looking at Topher's neck. "Yeah fate, everything happens for a reason, something ridiculous like that.."
Sebastian grabbed Topher's phone and copied the number into his own device, "that sounds good to me,  you probably have to go home to your sappy family this weekend I expect." He responded, trying to think of all the sex he could be enjoying not the fact he didn't have a family that cared enough to ask him to come home.
Christopher
"Do unto others as you would have done unto you," Topher recited the golden rule before he rolled his eyes at his own ridiculousness. "What can I say? I'm a fan of breaking tradition then you're right on the money," he confirmed at the end then added a thumbs up in order to drive the point home. "Thank you very much for the vote of confidence. Imagine you could easily run circles around everybody here and there are so many variations of that very sappy remark, you probably hit the nail on the head with every last one you just rattled off." He definitely noticed Sebastian messing with the collar of his shirt, yet he said nothing on the subject. As long as it didn't go any further then he saw no real reason to make a fuss.
"There's nothing wrong with a little bit of sappiness, regardless of where it comes from. I enjoy some maple syrup on my pancakes from time to time," Topher attempted a joke at the end before he chuckled a hint in minor shame. "Gotta admit that I'm wondering if I'm somehow intoxicated because I rarely ever make dumb jokes like that."
Sebastian
"Oh yeah that." Sebastian smirked, "I just have to believe they were talking about fucking when they came up with that, it makes the most sense." He chuckled. Sebastian maybe more mature now but he could let an easy joke get by him. "I am glad you're breaking family tradition of hating me because that would be very upsetting. Blaine loves me but what can I say, Kurt and I just weren't meant to be." Sebastian rolled his eyes. He knew Kurt would never like him but Bas didn't care. Blaine enjoyed his company and it seemed Topher did too, and if Kurt didn't like that well that was his own problem.
"Yes I can run circles around them all, literally and metaphorically. Once you see me on that Lacrosse field you'll see." Bas smiled, he was honestly proud of his athletic accomplishments and even though he wasn't able to pursue his artistic dreams professionally he still made sure to continue it in private. Sebastian continued playing with the other mans collar and let his fingers occasionally flit across the skin at the nape of the neck.
"Don't have much experience with sap, had to find my own syrup for my pancakes as a kid" Seb laughed, enjoying the moment of shame on Topher's face at his own joke. "Don't be embarrassed, it looks good on you, clearly you don't need alcohol to have a little fun you just have to let yourself enjoy it." Bas responded, "though if you are intoxicated we will chalk it up to you being drunk on my presence," he added with an over exaggerated wink.
Christopher
"Got a case of one track mind, don't you?" Topher fired back with a laugh and gave a minor shrug as the topic changed. "Kurt's a cool guy and I'd probably say that without the bias too, yet you've honestly given me no reason to hate you. Try to base my opinion of someone off personal experience with them rather than other people's opinions. Unless of course the other people have a valid point, but that's a whole other can of worms entirely." He could only imagine the future conversation about this whole situation, yet just as easily brushed it off as future Topher's problem. He just wanted to hang out with a friend, simple as that.
"Then I'll be sure to come check out the game," he answered with a smile of his own then shivered just a hint when Sebastian's fingers grazed his neck yet the brightness never faded from his face. On the one hand, Topher should have been used to it since his exes and friends often did the same thing. On the other though, this felt different somehow and he attributed it to the returning possibility that he was being flirted with then made a note to try turning down whatever vibe he might have been giving off. "Sorry to hear that and thank you very much. Then that should be easy enough since I regularly try to keep searching for silver linings, even when it seems impossible." Topher lightly poked his tongue out at Sebastian when he noticed the wink before he aimed to carefully poke him in the side. "Watch out. You keep that up and you'll suddenly have a line of people begging for your attention."(edited)
Sebastian
"Just sharing the things I care about and nobody wants to hear about law so here we are." Seb laughed, he didn't really enjoy talking about his law classes, not that he didn't care about his major but it was a tough subject because it wasn't exactly his passion and he didn't know Topher well enough yet to talk to him about what he planned to do after graduation.
Bas listened to Topher's thoughts with interest, "I will just keep charming you and you can keep your wonderful opinions of me," he smirked just imagining Kurt's reaction to Seb flirting with his brother never mind just talking to him, but Seb wasn't just trying to get Kurt mad, he really did enjoy Topher's company.
Sebastian noticed the little shiver that ran over Topher at his touch but chose to make no comment, he didn't want to scare off the younger man so he simply continued his movements but pushed no further.
"All in the past," Seb waved off Topher's apologies. "We should make this a game; make Topher find the silver lining in whatever fucked up scenario you can think of," Bas laughed. "Wow now hey hey no violence allowed this is a school campus," Sebastian teased, swatting at Topher's hand as he tried to poke him. "The line is currently forming behind you, can't you see it? It's running all the way through the gardens and out around the main building there," he replied mock trying to point out a line of people in the distance.
Christopher
"Well, whatever you want to talk about, I'm more than happy to lend an ear." It was the truth because Topher truly did enjoy listening to his loved ones talk about their interests. There was something about the passion that made him smile up a storm as he paid attention. "And aren't you a sweetheart? Breaking out the charm for little old me?" He continued to keep his attention locked on the matter at hand although some of the words for his replies died on the tip of his tongue when he noticed that Sebastian's movements hadn't ceased. "You're making my brain short circuit, you know that? Not a bad thing. Just pointing it out."
Topher chuckled then answered, "I'd be more than happy to take up the challenge." He glanced around in the direction Sebastian pointed in and decided to keep the joke rolling just a bit longer. "Yeah, think they're making signs too, like you're a rockstar. Can't wait to see what they come up with as they start getting closer," he added before he turned back around just in time for his phone to buzz with a reminder. "Damn, forgot that I've got a study group coming to meet me in my dorm. Care to walk me back?"
Sebastian
"Even if I want to go back to telling you how fuckable you are?" Bas teased, half wanting to see that blush again and half testing if the other boy really meant what he said because Seb wasn't one to trust and believe easily and sexualization humor was his best redirection method. "Oh count yourself special, I don't bring out the charm for just anyone, only the most handsome princes' get that privilege," Bas laughed, hinting back to their previous conversation about princes' and princesses.   "I would be lying if I said that wasn't at least part of my plan," he smirked, not removing his hand but carrying on with massaging movements and letting his hand run through the hair at the nape of Topher's neck.
"Then I shall start coming up with scenarios as soon as possible." Bas laughed.
Sebastian pretended to fan himself like women in old movies "I'm just so overcome with joy at the turn out of fans today," he joked, imitating the old 'proper' accents from back in the early years of cinema.
"It would be my honor, Sir Topher," Bas replied, keeping up his act. He jumped to his feet and picked up his bag of gear from lacrosse before standing in front of Topher holding a hand out to help him stand with a half bow like a gentleman.
Christopher
As if on cue, Topher's cheeks lit up pink and he gently pinched the bridge of his nose in a joking manner yet again. "But I do mean it. Anything that is on your mind then feel free to tell me about it either in person or over the phone." The sincerity was real in his tone, it easily revealed that he was telling the truth about always being more than happy to listen to a loved one speak. "Making my brain short circuit was part of the plan all along you say? Should've know you were a movie villain all along," he returned the joke.
A minor laughter attack took over before he gave a grateful smile and accepted Sebastian's hand. "Thank you very much Sir Sebastian," he responded in the same old fashioned proper accent before he aimed to grab his cane from the other side of the bench. Once it was back in his hand, he stopped to grab his guitar case. "It's not too far a walk from here, but you can stick around if you want? It'd be just a few pretentious freshmen trading short stories and giving peer reviews, but I'm pretty great at hanging out with friends while studying."
Sebastian
"I will remember that Topher, just keep in mind I do drink most nights so you just signed yourself up to be on my drunk dial list." Sebastian laughed in a strained sort of way, unable to hide the fact he was only half joking. He didn't much like to admit to needing people to talk to, or that he drank more than he probably should but at this point in talking to Topher he knew his secrets were safe.
"Of course it was, how else am I going to get my disney prince into my bed." Seb winked. "Sure I'm the villain of the story, I'm trying to lure you to my evil lair remember." This time his laugh was jenuine, he was having actual fun with Topher.
Sebastian played with Topher's fingers for a moment, brushing his thumb over the soft back of Topher's hand but suddenly dropped it as if he had been given an electric shock. This was not the was Sebastian Smythe acted. Bas returned the playful smirk to his face and gave a small bow "Any time my prince, lead the way to your tower." He responded, giving his assent to hang out with Topher a little longer. "I need to stop at the cafeteria to get something to eat first though." He said as his stomach reminded him of the reason he was cutting through the garden today to begin with.
Christopher
Topher gave a small shrug before he answered, "That's fine by me, but I do feel obligated to at least mention the phrase drink responsibly." Then another minor laughter attack escaped at Sebastian's joke before he straightened up once more in order to get started on the journey. "You're not the villain of my story, that's for sure," he remarked with an easygoing smile as he adjusted to having the weight of his guitar case in his hands again.
But before that, when his hand had been relinquished, some odd type of feeling invaded both his mind as well as his heart. Topher managed to brush it off in time to catch what had been said next. "I will happily lead the way. There are also plenty of unhealthy along with healthy snacks to take your pick from when we get there. But if you'd rather swing by the cafeteria first then that's cool too. Could bring something back for my study group while we're at it, make up for being late."
Sebastian
"I'm very responsible Mr Hummel. I have my gallon of water and motrin ready for the morning and two packs of condoms on the nightstand so don't you worry your little head." Seb smirked, glad to steer away from exposing himself emotionally. "I can be if you want, I'm sure it's more fun that way, I'll be anyone but the lame sidekick." Bas joked, he saw Topher readjusting with his cane and Guitar case and reached over grabbing the bulky case from the young man, not that he didn't think Topher was capable of carrying it but why let him when Seb only had one bag slung over his shoulder so he had two free hands.
"Have you ever played Lacrosse Topher Hummel? I need more than a snack to replenish all the energy I have just exerted running that field. I need food." Seb replied firmly walking determinedly in the direction of the cafeteria. "If you insist we can feed your freshman friends too. I hope they aren't really lame Topher because I'll get board."
Christopher
"Then I have no complaints," Topher replied before he gave a tiny shrug in response. "Sidekicks don't always have to be lame, but that's just me. Either way though, happy to have you along for the ride." One of his eyebrows quirked up when Sebastian started to take his guitar case and he opened his mouth to protest then decided against it as a grateful smile appeared on his face once again. "Thank you very much and in the interest of being honest, I have not played lacrosse. But I did play soccer and was on the swim team in high school, plus I did archery then as well, so can only imagine what a drain that might be."
As he followed after Sebastian toward the cafeteria, Topher reassured, "My friends definitely aren't lame. We're more of a wild, ragtag bunch that just so happened to come together by some chain of events. It's even balance of light and dark humor in the group too, plus the jokes just keep coming a mile a minute. But to each their own with opinions and I'll let you be the judge of your own experience with them."
Sebastian
"Somehow I didn't think you would, I like to have fun but I don't want to die." Seb replied. He was a lot more reckless when he was younger but now he was also focused on his future. "There's a reason they are called sidekicks not partners. I will take evil genius though, I did have a cat so I fit perfectly into the role," Bas laughed. "No problem, maybe one day when you're leg is better I'll teach you, I've never done archery, you must have some great arm and back muscles for that," Seb said thoughtfully looking over the man walking beside him. "Since we are friends now you must have good taste so I'm not too worried" Bas commented with a smirk, there was always the chance he did get some of what he considered the negative Hummel traits but so far Topher seemed rather different to Kurt. "I will judge and let you know what I think, but I did get you laughing so I will take your word when you say they are amusing."  Sebastian walked a head a little eyeing the food ahead of him suddenly feeling like he hadn't eaten all day.
Christopher
"Nothing wrong with having fun, but we're all definitely too young to die," Topher agreed. He chuckled a hint at the mental picture of young Sebastian with a cat and decided to save it for a rainy day. The Creative Writing major gently cleared his throat after a few moments then remarked, "Gotta say that's a pretty funny picture to think about." When the topic got switched back to his leg, he added, "It's actually healed for the most part. The cane was just recommended because my leg is still prone to giving out at random moments. Then I'd be more than happy to teach you archery?" His bright smile turned gentle and he shook his head in a joking manner once he noticed the smirk. "Not sure if I've said this already, but I feel like this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
Sebastian
"Too young and hot I think you meant Topher." Seb chuckled, he wasn't going to let their conversation get too serious, death was a strange subject for Sebastian, he didn't have much experience with it on a personal level but even his tough shell could be broken by many of the heartbreaking stories in the news. "She was a beauty and would have eaten you alive for saying that." Bas stuck out his tongue, his pet was one of the few souls he had loved unconditionally in his life. Bas listened interested as Topher explained a little more about his injury, not something you would find Sebastian Smythe do often was listening. "We should wait on the Lacrosse but learning something new is what I excel at," Bas winked, "I'd be happy to have you as my teacher." he responded in a sultry tone, ever making the inappropriate jokes. "It's something beautiful that's for damn certain." He replied running his eye over Topher's body shamelessly. "Come on Topher, let's get back to your dorm before they start making rumors of where you have been hanging out with that bad Sebastian Smythe."
Christopher
Another laugh escaped from Topher, but this one was just a hint more gentle due to the heavy subject matter. "I honestly have no doubt about that. One of my best friends from back home had a cat and I can't tell you how many times I wished for one. Same thing goes for a dog 'cause both are equally adorable." He gave a nod of approval at the current plans being set up then added, "Just let me know whenever you're free and I'll either tell you to swing by my dorm to hang out for a bit or to swing by the archery range in order to learn a little something new." A faint pink blush tinted his cheeks yet he managed to not the color deepen to tomato red like he might have earlier in the conversation. "The bad Sebastian Smythe? I highly doubt that," he fired back as they continued on their journey.

You’ve Haunted Me All My Life
Pairing: Sebastian Stan x Reader - soulmate AU
Warnings: Language, lots of fluff, feels.
A/N: So, this is a re-post of a series I had on my old account (therealjamesbarnes). Some of you may remember it, but I did add a tiiiiny bit more to the story here and there, so I hope you like this somewhat-improved version. Let me know what you think! <3 Also, here’s the song that you sing to Sebastian, in case you wanted to give it a listen.
“It’s you.. Fuck, you’re beautiful.”
Those were the words that were etched into the skin above your heart.
You remembered the day they’d shown up, your 18th birthday. A sign that not only were you an adult, now, but that someone, somewhere, was meant for you. And those would be the first words they ever spoke to you.
Your friends all got interesting ones, too. “I know this is weird, but, I feel like I know you from somewhere.” and “I know we don’t know each other, but would you like to have coffee sometime?” They all seemed to be more in awe of yours, though, so desperate to know who would say those 5 words to you.
You remember when Ashley, sweet Ashley, didn’t get a phrase on her 18th birthday. You remember how she cried and cried, so afraid that nobody would ever love her… until she met her soulmate. His name was Dave, and he was deaf. He couldn’t speak, but her first words to him were etched in black right above his heart. “You have the most lovely eyes.” You were there to witness that moment, and you swore you’d never seen anything more beautiful than when her face lit up at the sight of the words. She was practically glowing.
10 years later, you still hadn’t met your special person, and you were beginning to fear that you never would. You’d had a few flings over the passing time, but they all found their someone eventually, leaving you right back where you started: searching.
“C’mon, Y/N. Just come with me to the party, I promise you’ll like it.” Ashley begged you, tugging on your jacket. You huffed, shrugging. “Ashley, its the day before Thanksgiving, I don’t really want to go anywhere.” You whined, trying to get out of her grip. “It’s the biggest party night of the year, pleeeeease. I don’t want to go alone.” She continued to grovel, and you rolled your eyes at her. “What about Dave? Take him.” You offered and she shook her head, sighing. “You know Dave doesn’t like parties… They’re.. too much for him.” She told you and you sighed again, feeling yourself start to give in to her begging.
“I.. I guess.” You mumbled after a few moments and she cheered loudly. “Bring your guitar.” She said quickly before she booked it out of the room. “Ashley, wait! Why do I need to bring an instrument to this party?” You called, following her quickly. She let out a nervous laugh before turning to face you. “I may or may not have mentioned that you could sing aaaand.. Well, Don wants you to play a few songs. Three, tops!” She said, clasping her hands together in front of her, prepared to beg you again. “Please, please do this for me and I will never ask you for anything ever again.” She said quickly, pouting. You wouldn’t have normally minded playing at a party, but you wish she had given you more time to prepare. It had been a few weeks at least since your fingers had danced over the frets of your most prized possession. The holidays were always a hard time for you, and you usually ended up falling into a depressive black hole. But you couldn’t tell her that.
You let out a long breath, shrugging once again. “Fine. Whatever. I guess. But I get to pick the songs I’ll play.” You told her, narrowing your eyes. She nodded quickly, a large smile forming on her lips as she rushed forward to hug you. “Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.” She screeched, rocking you back and forth. You hummed in response before pushing her off of you. “Do I have to dress up for this thing?” You asked her and she nodded slightly. “A little.” You shook your head, “Alright. I’ll be ready in 15.”
You arrived at the party, the bitter chill of November’s wind nipping at your cheeks and snow stuck to the soles of your shoes. You immediately felt anxious when you entered the large house, not expecting quite so many people to be there. Ashley had failed to mention that there would be well over 100 people attending. “This way. I’ll introduce you to Don.” She said, taking your free hand and leading you through the crowd of party-goers. You held onto the handle of your guitar case tightly, trying not to hiss when people bumped against it.
You approached a tall, dark haired man who was speaking with two other people that you couldn’t help but feel looked familiar. “Don!” Ashley greeted, and the muscular man turned around, hugging her tightly. “Ashley, hey! So glad you could make it. It’s been too long.” He said softly, his eyes moving to you when he ended their embrace.
“Who’s this?” He asked, holding his hand out for you to shake. “Y/N.” You introduced yourself, placing your hand in his softly. His hand was warm and calloused, big enough to nearly swallow yours whole. “The singer?” He asked, his eyes wide with excitement as he looked over at Ashley. Oh god, how much had she told him about you? “This is her!” Ashley replied and he nodded, looking back over at you. “I’m so happy you decided to come. You can play whatever you’d like.. This crowd’s not too picky.” He told you before releasing your hand. You nodded as you gripped your case tighter, your eyes darting to his two incredibly handsome friends.
“Oh! How rude of me. Let me introduce you. This is Sebastian and this is Chris.” He told you and Ashley, and both of the men nodded at you politely. You couldn’t help but notice how Sebastian’s gaze lingered on you for a moment longer than Chris’, and how it made your stomach flutter. Nobody had looked at you like that before. Like he was trying to commit your image to memory.
“Was there somewhere in particular you wanted me to set up?” You asked, breaking your gaze with Sebastian and turning to Don. He nodded, tugging on your sleeve and leading you away from the group and towards what resembled a living room. The size of his house was getting more and more overwhelming by the minute. “You can set up right in here. There aren’t too many people around in here, so you shouldn’t have any issues.” He told you with a smile and you nodded, setting your case on the floor. “It’s just an acoustic. I didn’t bring a microphone or anything.” You told him and he grinned.
“I’ll have everyone quiet down a bit for you, then. From what Ashley says, and what she’s shown me, you’ve got an amazing voice.” You chuckled awkwardly, kneeling down so you could pull your guitar out of the case. “I hope I don’t disappoint you.” You mumbled, and he only laughed, patting your shoulder. “I’ll go tell everyone that you’re setting up in here.” You nodded as you watched him walk away, letting out a long, slow breath.
Ashley came into the room quickly, her face looking waaaay too excited. “Can you believe there are actors at this party?” She asked you as you put your strap over your shoulder, pulling up a chair that was sitting in the corner of the room. “What?” You asked her, not really paying attention. “Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans! Captain fucking America is here.” She half whispered, half screamed.
You shook your head, laughing at her. “I’m sure they just want to enjoy the party like everyone else.” You told her, and she huffed, smiling softly. “Why do you have to be so down-to-earth? Can’t you just fangirl with me for like, a sec?” She asked and you rolled your eyes at her. “Maybe after I’m done having a heart attack over this.” You whispered, your eyes widening as more and more people came into the living room. Her hands were on your shoulders as she followed your gaze. “You can do this. I believe in you.” She presses a quick kiss to your cheek before she takes a few steps back, allowing you to be in the spotlight.
You sat on the chair awkwardly, positioning your guitar on your lap comfortably before you pulled a pick from your back pocket. Everyone had gone quiet, except for a few whispers. You cleared your throat, forcing a small smile. “Hi, everyone.” You paused, chuckling. “I’m not a professional or anything, but I hope you like what I’m gonna play for you.”
Everyone had listened quietly to your first two songs, clapping softly when you were through. You decided to do a cover for your last song, one of your favorites. You took a sip of the water that Ashley had brought to you, cracking your knuckles. “This last one, uh.. It has a soft spot in my heart. It’s one of my favorites.” You said loud enough for everyone to hear. “I hope you like it.”
You closed your eyes, playing the first few chords with ease. When you were finally ready to sing, you opened your eyes, immediately meeting Sebastian’s.
“You’ve haunted me all my life.” You sang, directly to him, and his mouth fell open slightly. “Through endless days and countless nights.” You continued, letting your eyes flutter closed as you felt yourself start to get lost in the song.
“There was a storm when I was just a kid, stripped the last coat of innocence.
You’ve haunted me all my life.
You’re always out of reach when I’m in pursuit,
Long winded, then suddenly mute.
And there’s a flaw in my heart’s design,
For I keep trying to make you mine.
You’ve haunted me all my life,
You’ve haunted me all my life.
You are the mistress I can’t make a wife,
and you’ve haunted me all my life.”
You let your eyes open back up as your fingers danced over the guitar strings and frets, looking up, only to find Sebastian standing in front of you, his eyes shining brightly as he watched you, a soft smile on his lips. You smiled back up at him, unsure of why he had taken such a sudden interest in you.
“And so I wait, but I never seem to learn
How to capture your diminishing returns.
I still see you through the eyes of a child,
Not even thinking we could tame the wild.”
He held your gaze as you continued to sing, and a feeling stirred in your stomach - one that you were unfamiliar with.
“You’ve haunted me all my life,
You’ve haunted me all my life.
You are the mistress I can’t make a wife,
and you’ve haunted me all my life.”
His smile only grew as you continued to sing to him, his eyes crinkling in the corners, something you couldn’t help but find endearing and absolutely adorable. What was going on here? Why was this man here, so close to you?
“You’ve haunted me all my life,
You’ve haunted me all my life.
You are the mistress I can’t make a wife,
and you’ve haunted me all my life.”
You finished the song, pulling your strap over your head as your small crowd applauded. You felt a burning sensation on your cheeks as you smiled, standing up and bowing slightly. You turned to Ashley immediately, who was grinning wildly at you as she clapped loudly. You rolled your eyes at her, moving to walk past her, when someone caught your wrist.
You turned, seeing Sebastian stare down at you in awe.  “It’s you.. Fuck, you’re beautiful.” He breathed and you felt your heart stop in your chest as you stared up at him. Those words… His free hand cupped your cheek hesitantly, his tongue flicking out to wet his lips. “I’ve waited 16 years for you.” He whispered and you felt your jaw drop slightly, your hands shaking. “I thought I’d never find you.” His thumb traced your jaw softly and it took everything in your power not to melt into his touch. “You.. What?” You breathed, confusion fogging your brain. He chuckled, coming closer so he could nuzzle his nose against yours. You could smell his aftershave and practically taste the beer he’d been nursing all night. “You’ve haunted me all my life.. I always thought it was fitting.” He told you, pulling down the collar of his shirt so you could see the black letters carved into his skin.
Before you could stop yourself, you were reaching up and tracing each letter with your fingertips, causing a shiver to work its way through his spine. “I just never imagined you’d be singing to me.” He admitted, making you giggle softly. He chewed his cheek as he stared down at you, his hand still cupping your face. “You are so beautiful.” He told you and you looked up to meet his gaze. His eyes made your knees feel weak. You’d waited for this day for so long, you were starting to wonder if this was a figment of your imagination. “Is this real?” You asked him, feeling tears sting your eyes.
He let out a breathy laugh, pressing his lips to your forehead softly. “Yeah, baby. This is real. I’m here.” The amount of affection in his voice made your heart soar and you quickly wrapped your arms around his waist, pulling him into a hug. One of his arms went around your middle while his other hand found its way into your hair, holding you close to him. “I can’t believe you’re here.” He whispered into your hair and you nodded against his shoulder, your grip on him tightening.
You felt crazy, throwing yourself at him like this, but you knew that you felt a pull towards each other for a reason. He was yours, and you were his.
He pulled back from the embrace slightly, looking down at you. “Can I..?” He asked softly, his fingers playing with the collar of your dress. You nodded slowly, and he pulled the fabric down, a small gasp leaving his lips when he saw the words that were written on your skin. “It’s you.. Fuck, you’re beautiful.”
He smiled a tearful smile, his index finger tracing each letter delicately. “It really is you.” He breathed, his lower lip trembling. “I’ve waited so long… Wasted so much time. Where have you been?” He asked, his hands coming back up to cup your cheeks. You smiled softly, your hands resting on his chest.
“Waiting for you.”

oh, honey
who // rachel berry & jesse st. james what // rachel premiers a new song with a new leading man and the chemistry is too much for them to fight anymore when // wednesday, october 10th  a/n // they bang but i’m too tired to write real porn so its like. soft porn. think harlequin romance, with less use of the words ‘iron hard member’ or something.
New York had always been home. Even though she’d technically spent more of her life in Los Angeles, the second she stepped foot in the city, it felt familiar. Comfortable. Sugar had even managed to convince Will it was okay for them to spend the time in their apartments - as much as she loved hotels, sleeping in her own bed with her cat again made everything feel just a little bit better.  Of course, now her bedding smelled like Jesse St. James. He had spent most of the previous evening sprawled out on her bed, watching her clear out her closet - she’d allow him glimpses of skin, pink patches appearing as she blushed when his eyeline would focus on her hips, her thighs, her breasts. In the end, they settled on an outfit Rachel had worn one of her first performances - something that made her feel powerful, and with the way his eyes raked over her, sexy.
They had been practicing the song whenever they had a chance, Rachel tweaking it here and there to make it work more in her favor. The girls loved it - while they had to borrow a pianist to play the keyboard for it, it was sultry, smoky. Hot. And when she sang it with Jesse, Rachel couldn’t help but feel the electricity that ran between them.
She only hoped they could play it off on stage.
Rachel had the closing act at the first venue, and Jesse was on third during his own. It was almost like the universe was laughing at them, despite her request to have them on the same stage so he could easily join her - for awhile, she wasn’t sure he’d even be able to make it. Sure, the song she could easily sing as a solo, but it wasn’t as good that way, and she’d rather have scrapped it all together.  She needn’t have worried; he looked a little breathless off stage, grabbing a mic from Sugar to join her in perfect timing. They started sans music, just Rachel’s voice, no introduction before she started singing.
these little hands are parasites
The crowd hushed with her voice, trying to figure out if they knew the song or not
get in there and hang on tight take what they can take and leave you bleeding
She could see Jesse just out of the corner of her eye, waiting just off stage. A surprise, for sure, for the entire audience - but she couldn’t keep the lilt of a smile off her lips as she sang, the hum of excitement buzzing through her already.
this little mouth’s no good for you these lips will suck you black and blue when it’s done, the teeth and tongue for feeding
Emily and Sidney began to join in with their instruments, a few pick ups she’d managed from the general band members that lurked the tour in case of emergencies helping out, the audience starting to get into the song - but nothing like when Jesse appeared, words first before his body, his voice drawing her to him even before she looked in his direction.  It was like a magnet, the two of them, circling one another as they sang round and round, almost never in unison, like they didn’t want to overpower one another. Equals, really, something Rachel had been yearning for for years now.  It was during the last moments of the song, the two of them merely a foot apart, and if she’d been thinking about it all she should have been surprised by the lack of feedback from their microphones, but all she could think about was how good they sounded, her voice harmonizing with his, the two of them exhilarated in the way only an incredible performance was.  It was the closest thing she’d felt to love in years, and when the song ended, the crowd burst into louder applause than she’d heard at any show previous.  They laughed it off, Rachel squeezing his hand and kissing his cheek before she announced him to the crowd, demanding one more round of applause for him. And just the briefest touch of her lips against his skin was enough to make her vibrate with need, her tongue darting across her lips as she watched him go, remembering only just in time that she had the rest of her set to perform and she couldn’t follow.  As soon as the curtain dropped, however, she sped off, barely putting her guitar in its case before she was texting Jesse. My apartment. Now. She’d only just sent it when a pair of hands reached out for her, eliciting a small screech before lips were against hers, hands on her waist, her hair, tugging on her vest while pushing her further backstage where no one could see them, despite how busy it was.  “Jesse - “  It was so confusing. Because she wanted this, wanting him, but she had Sam, sort of, and Sebastian, in a way, and adding a third guy into the mix seemed like so much but with his mouth trailing along her throat, she couldn’t remember anything except the way his eyes bore into hers on stage, how their voices blended together perfectly, how his energy seemed to combine with hers on stage to create something so incredibly new that she wanted -
“Not here,” was all she managed to get out, his teeth nipping her ear as he hummed his agreement, though her hands were just as unable to sit still as his, tugging on his shirt, his hair, his hips. “My apartment, come,” she demanded, pushing him away until she could breathe on her own again.  They didn’t speak as they found a cab outside, and while she tried to remember herself, it was a long drive from the island back to Brooklyn.
It was her who initiated it, then; “Kiss me,” she whispered, and he did as she asked, pulling her close. Open mouths, teeth biting, she felt her insides stirring with a longing she hadn’t felt in so long - to be known, to be wanted in a way unique to anything else she had in her life.
And Jesse fit so perfectly into what she thought she needed in a partner. Someone who could understand that she scoffed at the idea of monogamy, someone who understood that the spotlight was her one true love above all, someone who could bring fire to her music and energy to her soul. While they were on tour, they couldn’t do much more than they were musically, but instead of fighting him off, well, she was officially inviting him in, physically.
Her clothing barely stayed on in the cab, and while it wouldn’t be her first time, she didn’t think either of them needed to deal with a sex tape scandal, all things considered. (The fact that Santana still held one of her was enough to make her wary of creating a second so soon.) But she barely let him get further than her front door before she yanked his jacket off, throwing it towards her sofa where it landed on Roxie, the kitten screaming and hiding in objection.
Rachel paid her no mind, instead focusing on the buckle of Jesse’s jeans, his own hands pulling her shirt up and over her head, hands and mouths seeking every inch of skin possible. He’d only been in her apartment once, but he somehow managed to navigate them to her bed, pushing her down and crawling on top of her, whispering soft words of “beautiful” and “gorgeous” in his low accent that made her skin crawl with desire as he kissed her.
“I need you,” she begged, her own voice breathier than normal, and he chuckled, catching her lips in another kiss that made her knees weak and her legs part as he settled between them. His fingers found the crutch of her, sinking inside and making her moan into his kiss, her back arching slightly to crawl closer to him.
“I can tell, princess,” his words made her moan louder, which only seemed to push him harder, Rachel squirming if only to get her skirt further down her hips, to allow him more access. She wanted to feel him, all of him, and while his fingers hooking inside of her felt delicious, she needed more.
“Then stop teasing,” she snapped, pushing him away if only to hook her own thumbs in the waist of her fishnets, tugging all her clothing off in one fell swoop. Jesse followed suit, giving Rachel just enough time to reach for her secret box in her bedside - thank god she always kept herself stocked, just in case, grabbing a condom and tearing open the packet before he could protest.
(Not that she imagined he would - he, after all, would be an advocate for birth control for the same reasons she was, and if he had a problem about the potential passing of STI’s, well, she’d just demand he get tested before they went without.)
She pushed him onto his back, giggling as she did, Jesse hoisting her hips until they were straddling his own. Rachel’s teeth worked her bottom lip, lining the two of them up and letting herself sink down around him slowly.
The groan that slipped between his lips was enough to make her skin flush a deep red, her breath stuttering for a moment while she rested her hands against his chest. “C’mon, baby girl,” he teased, and she dug her nails into his skin, eliciting a low hiss before she started moving; it was just like being on stage with him, the two finding that perfect rhythm almost immediately, his hands digging into her hips while she rode him. Her head lolled back, her knees digging into her mattress to support herself, and all she could focus on was how good it felt - how good he felt, a thumb circling her clit, two fingers twisting a nipple, his body moving faster than hers when he wanted to flip her over so she couldn’t protest.
By the time she came, the two of them were soaked in sweat, her teeth biting into his shoulder to mark him as hers, if only momentarily, her body rolling against his as she kept herself wrapped tightly around him. She didn’t want there to be a distance, didn’t want any space, and he seemed to agree with the sentiment.
What they had together, she knew, even as they collapsed next to one another what felt like hours later, was more than just chemistry. It was more than just sexual, more than just emotional. It was musical, a soulmate in a way she’d never found with anyone else. And Rachel had no intentions of giving that up - not if she could do a damn thing to stop it.
