Per Chapter two of SVSSS, Shen Yuan makes it clear that his comments to Airplane are an extensive review of the content of each chapter, with thorough concrit on the writing, characterization, plot, etc, all of which are lacking in this comment

And while yes, this is absolutely the type of comment that Shen Yuan in his life as Shen Qingqiu would make to Airplane once they’ve discovered their preexisting connection, the fact that this is an anonymous internet post and not delivered to your face while accompanied with friendly banter and a judgmental look still makes it clean that this is still out of Shen Yuan’s character.
