...One year later...
"WE NEED TO LEAVE."
The urgency in his voice carried a subtle tone of exasperation as the words softly left his lips. The urgency wasn't overtly pronounced, but it lingered in the air, urging her to quicken her pace. She focused her attention on the bathroom mirror, hastily slipping into the dress chosen for the occasion of the night.
"Give me five more minutes!"
"We're already five minutes late!"
"And whose fault is that?" she retorted, a playful smirk dancing on her lips.
She could almost imagine the incredulous expression on his face from the other room as he responded, "Mine? Really?"
"Who insisted on spending this afternoon watching a documentary about the wonders of deep-sea exploration?" she teased.
"In my defense, it was fascinating," was his immediate reply. "Did you know there are creatures down there that look like they're from another planet?"
"I know, Spencer, we watched it together, remember?"
"You fell asleep halfway through it."
"Well, in my defense—" She paused, struggling with the zipper of her dress. "You were really warm."
His laughter resonated from the other room. "So it's my fault you're taking forever to get ready now?"
"Absolutely, it's a cause-and-effect scenario," she replied, her arms stretching behind her in an attempt to reach the stubborn zipper. A sudden strain and a high-pitched groan escaped her lips. "Ouch!"
His concerned footsteps approached and he appeared at the bathroom doorway. "What's wrong?"
She winced, rubbing the sore spot on her back. "I strained my muscles trying to zip up this dress."
He raised an eyebrow. "Need a hand?"
She shot him a mock glare. "Are you insinuating I can't handle a zipper?"
He held up his hands in surrender. "Of course not. But if we want to make it to Rossi's place on time, maybe a little help won't hurt."
She glanced at him from the mirror as his gaze lingered on her dress, tracing the contours that hugged her figure. She noticed the subtle appreciation in his eyes, a silent acknowledgment of the effect the outfit had on him. A playful smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she sighed in mock defeat.
"Fine, but no funny business."
He slowly approached her, gently taking the zipper in his fingers. "No funny business."
She felt his presence as he settled behind her, the air carrying a subtle warmth that seemed to dance across her skin. Instead of immediately tending to the zipper, his fingers, gentle and deliberate, traced a tantalizing path along the exposed skin of her back. His eyes met hers in the mirror, and for a brief moment, time seemed to slow.
"Spence," she breathed out, the name carrying a subtle plea for him to continue or to stop—she wasn't entirely sure which.
"Hmm?"
"I thought we were late."
He smiled, the corners of his lips lifting in a playful yet knowing expression. He held her gaze as he leaned closer to her, brushing a feather-like kiss on her shoulder.
"I believe we can spare a few more minutes," he replied, the timbre of his voice holding a warmth that echoed through the space between them.
She couldn't suppress the smile that tugged at her lips. "And what, may I ask, do you plan to do with these 'few more minutes'?"
His lips lingered on her shoulder for a moment longer before he pulled back, still maintaining their proximity. "Well, I was thinking of using them to properly appreciate how beautiful you look tonight."
Her cheeks flushed with a combination of flattery and playful embarrassment. "Very smooth."
She could feel the warmth of his breath on her skin as he spoke, and a teasing glint sparkled in his eyes. "After all, punctuality can sometimes be overrated, don't you think?"
She chuckled. "Coming from someone who likes to be punctual."
"Maybe I've learned a thing or two from you." His fingers traced a gentle pattern on her exposed back, and he murmured, "Besides, Rossi wouldn't mind. We have more important matters to attend to."
She arched an eyebrow, a playful smile on her lips. "And what might that be, Dr. Reid?"
He pushed the strap of her dress down her shoulder, his touch gentle yet filled with a subtle urgency. His fingers traced a delicate path along her skin, leaving a tingling sensation in their wake.
"You," he whispered, his voice a low murmur that sent shivers down her spine.
As his lips met the exposed curve of her shoulder, a soft sigh escaped her. "Baby... are you really trying to have sex right now?"
"Why wait when the opportunity presents itself?"
She couldn't help but laugh at his sudden change of mind. "You're impossible, you know that?"
He grinned, a boyish charm lighting up his features. "Guilty as charged."
Before she could respond, he dipped his head and sucked on a spot right below her ear. She breathed out a moan and leaned back into him, giving him better access. When she felt him tug down her dress impatiently, her rational thoughts flew out the window.
"Fine," she agreed, letting her dress fall around her feet. "But make it quick."
As if to answer her challenge, he scooped her up in his arms with unexpected strength. Her laughter mixed with a surprised gasp as he carried her towards the bedroom, his lips finding hers in a hungry kiss. Quick was a concept they never quite understood when it came to their sexual needs, but maybe they could entertain the idea, starting from now.
Tumblr media
They were an hour late.
Fifty-six minutes, according to Spencer, because apparently, he measured the exact time it took for them to arrive at Rossi's house.
Although calling his place a house seemed like a mockery considering how big the property was. It was more like a mansion, and even when Spencer had taken her here a few times ever since the early stages of their relationship, Rossi's place never seemed to seize her amazement.
The host of the night didn't even bat an eyelash when they arrived, he didn't mind their tardiness. The other team members, however, couldn't resist making comments about the couple's late arrival, and the teasing became even more persistent when the girls cornered her at one point in the night.
Penelope raised an eyebrow with an impish grin. "What took you two so long?"
She wasn't sure how to answer the question. Should she just be honest and tell her she was being fucked in different positions? Penelope didn't seem to be the type to judge, granted, the first time she was introduced to her, the perky blonde woman didn't have much filter on her mouth to begin with. But she also didn't want to discuss her sex life with her boyfriend's colleagues.
She contemplated her response, weighing the balance between honesty and maintaining privacy. Penelope's inquisitive gaze lingered, and she decided on a response that offered some truth without delving into the details.
"We lost track of time," she replied instead, keeping it intentionally vague.
Emily leaned in, a smirk playing on her lips. "Is that so?"
She laughed, her cheeks flushing even more. "It's not what you think."
JJ joined in the teasing, "Well, someone is glowing tonight. I hope you at least have a good excuse for being fashionably late."
"Actually, we were discussing the intricacies of deep-sea exploration."
The girls exchanged amused glances, and Penelope quirked an eyebrow. "Deep-sea exploration, huh? Is that the code for something?"
She laughed. "It's about a documentary."
They exchanged a knowing look, clearly unconvinced by her vague explanation. Despite the embarrassment, she couldn't deny the warmth that spread within her. It was a strange yet comforting feeling, knowing that they had something special that others could only speculate about. When Penelope and Emily left to refill their drinks, JJ leaned in closer to her.
"We're sorry," she insisted. "Spencer never had a serious relationship before, we couldn't stop teasing."
She smiled appreciatively at JJ's sincerity. "No harm done. I understand it comes with the territory, especially with Spencer."
JJ smiled, her expression softening. "Just wanted to make sure you're okay with it."
"I can handle a bit of teasing. Besides, it's all in good fun, right?"
JJ nodded, a friendly smile on her face. "Absolutely. He's a great guy, and we're just happy to see him happy."
She followed JJ's gaze, watching Spencer engage with the kids. His eyes lit up with childlike excitement as he performed a silly magic trick, and the children erupted into giggles. The older child, who initially seemed to act as if he was at a big boy age, now wore a huge grin and eagerly urged Spencer to perform another trick.
She couldn't help but smile as she witnessed his effortless connection with them. It was a sight that made her heart swell with affection. A year ago, she could only dream of such moments. The happiness that Spencer brought into her life was beyond her wildest expectations. Not only was she in a happy and steady relationship, she was welcomed into his world.
The memory of visiting Spencer's mother, a year prior, resonated in her thoughts. Witnessing his patience and tenderness with his mom had moved her to tears. It was a moment that spoke volumes about the depth of their connection and the kindness embedded in his character.
Now, a year later, even when she had interacted with his teammates before, she couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude. Their presence made her feel as if she was embraced as an additional family member to this tight-knit group. The realization touched her deeply, and her eyes lingered on Spencer with so much affection, reaching a point where her heart felt like it was on the verge of bursting.
"He's really good with kids," JJ suddenly said, bringing her back to reality.
She smiled, a warm feeling coursing through her. "Yeah, he is. It's amazing to watch."
JJ nodded, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "Have you ever thought of having your own?"
The question hung in the air, and she took a moment to consider it. The idea of starting a family with Spencer had crossed her mind, but discussing it with someone else made it feel more tangible, more real. She took a moment, her gaze drifting back to Spencer, still enchanting the kids with his magic tricks.
"I... I think about it sometimes," she admitted, her voice soft.
JJ's smile widened, and there was a glint of genuine happiness in her eyes. "You two would make wonderful parents."
The compliment warmed her heart. The thought of a family with Spencer, navigating the joys and challenges of parenthood together, painted a vivid and hopeful picture in her mind. Yet, it was also a conversation they hadn't explicitly delved into.
She looked back at Spencer, his laughter mingling with the children's joy, creating a symphony of happiness. The idea of sharing these moments with their own children felt like a dream she hadn't dared to fully embrace. His gaze suddenly met hers and he waved in response.
JJ leaned in, her voice softer. "Whenever you're ready for it, just know you have a whole team here ready to support you both."
A mix of emotions swirled within her. Spencer, seemingly sensing her emotional state, excused himself from the impromptu magic show and approached them.
"Everything okay?" he asked, his brows furrowed with concern.
JJ gave her a knowing look before patting Spencer on the back. "Just sharing some girl talk, don't worry."
He quirked an eyebrow but didn't press further. JJ slowly excused herself and now that they were alone again, he pulled her closer to him, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Are you sure you're okay?"
She leaned into his comforting embrace, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, I'm more than okay." Her eyes then trailed over to JJ and her kids again. "They seem to adore you."
He smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling with genuine happiness. "Well, I adore them too."
A comfortable silence settled between them. She wasn't sure it was the right moment to have this discussion, but she found herself voicing her curiosity, even when her heart was beating fast. "Have you ever thought of... having kids?"
Spencer's gaze softened as he considered the question and she waited with bated breath for his reply.
"I used to, but then I've always been focused on my work and solving cases." He paused, his fingers gently tracing circles on her back. "Although lately, I find myself thinking about it more, especially with you."
She let out a breath she wasn't aware of holding. "With me?"
"Who else would I be thinking of having a family with?"
She couldn't help but smile at his response, a warmth blooming in her chest. "Fair point."
His thumb continued its gentle movements on her back. "The idea of creating a home together, it—” he let out a sigh. “It sounds like a dream."
Her heart skipped a beat. "It does, doesn't it?"
"Yeah," he said, a soft smile playing on his lips. "It really does."
They stood there, wrapped in the warmth of shared dreams and the quiet excitement of the future. But then her smile faltered, a subtle cloud of worry casting a shadow on her face. Spencer sensed the shift and gently tugged her. "What's wrong?"
Her eyes reflected a hint of concern. "I... I haven't had my period this month."
His own brows furrowed as he performed a quick calculation in his head. "Of course, you haven't, you're due—" his words trailed off as his gaze met hers. "...two weeks ago."
She wasn't sure which one was more surprising—his knowledge of her menstrual cycle or the fact that she was two weeks late. The weight of the situation settled in, and just as anxiety started to swell within her, Spencer's face transformed into a wide grin.
"Oh my god," she gasped. "Spence—I... what if...?"
His grin widened, eyes filled with a mix of excitement and joy. "What if we're going to be parents?"
She threw him a ludicrous look. "How are you not panicking?"
He laughed. "Didn't we discuss how great it would be to start a family?"
"Well, sure, somewhere in the future, not now."
He led her away from the festive atmosphere surrounding them to a quieter area out on the back porch. When they were finally alone, he stood in front of her, making sure his body was shielding her distraught face.
"Hey," he said gently, cupping her face in his hands, "This could be a wonderful surprise. We just talked about it, right?"
She nodded, but uncertainty still lingered in her eyes. "Yeah, but it's so sudden. I didn't expect it to happen a minute later after we discussed it. What if we're not ready? What if—"
"No one is ever fully ready for a significant change, but we have each other, and we'll figure it out,” he cut in, his thumbs caressing her cheeks.
She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "But... w-what if I'm not a good mom?"
His gaze softened, and he cradled her face in his hands. "Are you kidding? You'll be an amazing mom. I've seen the kindness, strength, and love in you. Those are the qualities that make a great parent."
Her heart swelled at his words. She sniffled, a small smile breaking through. "You really think so?"
"I know so," he affirmed, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
A sense of calm washed over her as she absorbed his words, holding him closer. It was scary, yet nothing was certain yet, and there was no use in her worrying. He gently wiped away a tear she wasn't even aware of.
"We'll take it one step at a time. And no matter what happens, we have each other and a lot of people who care about us."
Her eyes traveled towards the group of people behind the glass window. The same people who had saved her life, the people who took care of her, the people who embraced her with open arms.
She slowly nodded, feeling a mix of emotions—fear, excitement, and so much affection. "Okay," she whispered.
"You know I love you, right?"
She softly smiled, a tender warmth enveloping her. Her thoughts traveled to the first time he confessed his love for her, remembering how flustered and embarrassed he had been. Now, those three words came effortlessly, carrying a depth that only time and shared experiences could carve.
"I do," she whispered, her gaze lingering on him. "And I love you too."
He smiled affectionately. "We'll get a test pack on the way home."
He then brushed a strand of hair away from her face and leaned in, capturing her lips in a soft, lingering kiss. The irony of her initial thoughts about how wrong it was to be involved with him crossed her mind. The circumstances that once cast shadows of guilt over her feelings now seemed to dissolve, replaced by an overwhelming sense that everything was right.
Their bodies melded together seamlessly, and the way his lips brushed over hers felt nothing short of perfect. She couldn't help but feel that what initially seemed like the wrong path had led them to this moment. It was the right kind of wrong—a beautiful contradiction that had crossed their lives together in ways they could have never predicted.
And the two lines greeting them later that night were evidence of how right everything was going to be.

Author's note
When I started this series, my goal was to give him the happy ending he deserves and a proper love interest. One that had a back story, one that clearly didn’t die, and one that would make him a dad! I wanted to portray a story as if you were watching a Spencer-centric plot on the show. (Although with the amount of smut here, I doubt it could be aired)
And with that being said, I apologize for any inaccuracy of the crime/mystery plot. Although it's not perfect, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out throughout the eight months this story went on. Yep, EIGHT MONTHS. This was my very first post on this blog and I'm deeply attached to it.
So thank you for reading, commenting, sharing, interacting, and just accepting me and my ideas. It's also safe to say that I won't be writing another series in the near future, but I will still be posting other things.
Again, thank you so much. I love each and every one of you💕

the future. ( chase davenport x reader )
Tumblr media
After discovering that the last time she entrusted the bionic siblings to watch Naomi, she had been turned into a teenager, Tasha was wary when she left with Donald for their date, but when you arrived just as they were leaving, she was immediately relieved seeing how doting you were when you babysat for them on date nights - she could count on you to ensure there would be no accidents.
Donald shook his head when Tasha grabbed your arms, pleading with you to avoid another disaster and you patted her hand, sending her a smile. "Don't worry," You assured her. "I won't let her out of my sight."
"Hey, I fixed it!" Chase spoke up in his defense.
You hushed him, sending Tasha and Donald one last smile before they left. You approached Naomi who was squirming in Bree's arms, repeating the first syllable of your name. You smiled at the toddler, as Bree happily handed her over.
"We felt horrible about it."
"If only Chasey-Wasey didn't leave his gizmos lying around, huh?" You smiled when Naomi giggled, clapping her hands.
He held his hand up, "If I promise to lock them away, does Chasey-Wasey get a kissy wissy?"
Bree made a retching noise as she walked out and you giggled, holding out your arm, making Chase grin as he walked over, placing a hand on your back as he greeted you with a kiss.
"She still hates the baby talk?"
Chase nodded with a smile. "Want to follow her around?"
"I haven't seen my boyfriend for almost a week, I think I'd like to -"
"Canoodle?"
You covered Noami's ears, raising an eyebrow at him.
"There is no way she understood that."
"Canoodle!"
Chase raised an eyebrow in surprise before meeting your knowing gaze, eyes wide, realizing if Naomi repeated the word to Tasha or Donald, they would no doubt speak to you both, "Movie?"
"Good idea." You smiled, following him to the living room.
Throughout the movie Naomi played with toys and when she proudly showed you her stuffed elephant you mirrored her excitement. When she grew tired halfway through the movie, she snuggled into you, and you placed a blanket around her, smiling as she fell asleep.
You felt Chase's stare as it was common for him to observe your interactions with Naomi and you combed a strand of hair away from her forehead, a smile on your lips as you said, "You better not be thinking what I think you are thinking. And if you are thinking it, you better be thinking of waiting a little while longer."
You turned your head, glancing at his lips that formed an entranced smile, his arm tightening around your shoulders as he brought you closer to his chest.
"How long?"
You rested your head on his shoulder, humming thoughtfully, a giggle leaving your lips when he leaned in, closing your eyes when your lips met, placing a hand on his cheek.
A few moments later you pulled away when a voice whisper-shouted, "Hey!"
You both looked at the doorway to find Bree pointing at you, "You're supposed to be watching the baby. Not making one."
You buried your head in Chase's chest as he chuckled. You lifted your head when she left the room and turned to look at Naomi who slept peacefully.
"A little while longer." You whispered, a smile forming on your lips as you admired the beautiful toddler.
Chase met your gaze when you turned your head to look at him, a smile on his lips, as he slowly nodded his head. "I can do that."
He tilted your chin up, kissing you tenderly before you both turned your attention back to the movie. When you graduated, you didn't have a clear picture of what your future looked like - all you knew then was that Chase would be in it. But as you got older, you knew what you wanted, and when Naomi was born, that image grew clearer and clearer. And as you rested your head on his chest, his lips grazing your head, pressing against your hair, you knew it would soon become a reality.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sweetheart?
Your face scrunches up at the tone in his voice, and when your vision clears you're faced with a borderline pissed off expression from a guy who liked like Yuji, if he actually stuck to going to the gym rather than watching movies all day in Megumi's dorm.
"You make it a habit to sleep in strangers rooms?" He raised a brow at you, and you were starting to wonder if that scowl was permanently etched into his face.
You pause- god you forgot that you totally fell asleep. The last thing you remember was the words in your textbook slowly jumbling up into a mess. You suppose it was because you finally consumed something that wasn't the same cup of noodles you've been eating in the corner of your room like a rat.
Damn, did you really just fall asleep just because you more nutrients than usual? How embarrassing. At least Yuji wasn't here, because you're almost 100% positive he would've taken pictures of you drooling all over your textbook.
Just the thought makes your eye twitch.
"In my defense, Yuji isn't a stranger." You finally reply, scratching the back of your neck awkwardly. He scoffs in reply, and you're starting to really dislike the sarcastic tone in his voice.
Your eyes meet again, and for a second neither of you reply nor break the contact, and you really start to take in his face. He really did look a lot like Yuji, and he mentioned once that he had an older brother back in high school- but if you were honest? He could pass for a twin, if he wasn't slightly more built and had a less chiseled face.
And what the hell was up with the marks on his face? Were they face tattoos- were they even real? It's not like you haven't seen people who've done it before, but they were mostly western celebrities and not a random college guy in the middle of Tokyo.
"You have a staring problem or what?" He could have easily looked away, but for some reason your lack of immediate fear was a little... confusing, and he refused to be the one to break the eye contact first.
"Are they real?"
He paused in confusion, opening his mouth to ask what before he saw the way your eyes were no longer looking him directly in the eye, and instead glancing around his face.
"Hah?"
"I said, are they real?" You make an awkward gesture- pointing would've been a bit too forward- so you wave your hands in the direction of your own face. "The uha... tattoos?"
"What, you think I just woke up this morning and decided to slap sharpie on my face to look cool?" He said in a derisive scoff.
"If you were going for cool, I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news." The words kind of slipped out before you had the chance to think it in your head first, and you slowly bring your hand to cover your mouth. Oops.
But to your surprise, his tone isn't as hostile as you expected it to be.
"I wouldn't expect you to know what's cool, sweetheart." The way he called you by the nickname again was drawn out, almost like a purr at the end- probably not on purpose, but the bass in his tone made it sound so alluring you almost forget he was indirectly insulting you.
"M'not your sweetheart." Your try to hide your frown behind your hand, but your eyebrows gave it away.
"Right," His tone was bored, lacking any sort of interest. He examined you up and down before continuing. "And who's are you then? Yuji's? You don't seem his typ-"
"WHAT? No!" You cut him off before he can even finish his sentence. "Yuji is like a brother to me! Friends! Why does everyone keep assuming we are anything more?" You mumble the last part to yourself in an exasperated sigh.
"'Worst she can say is no' they say." He snorts mockingly at your defensive response.
"Speaking of Yuji," You quickly gather your things, shoving them into your bag. "Tell him next time he wants me to tutor him, at least make sure he doesn't need to leave halfway through."
"The fuck I look like to you, a messenger?" He replied in a clipped tone.
You ignore it though, grabbing your shoes and jacket. He was annoying, sure, but you were less mad at him and more at yourself for managing to fall asleep when you still had so much to review. You suppose you can somewhat thank Yuji, for giving you at least an hour of sleep before you pull an all-nighter.
"Yuji said he was gonna walk you back, you know." He calls out with a shrug, but he doesn't stop you.
"I can manage on my own."
You don't bother saying goodbye, because really, you don't even know the guy and you're not sure you want to. You simply slip away before he can manage to say something.
Sukuna sits there in the silence for a moment, and he realizes that might have been the first full conversation he's had with someone that wasn't Yuji or Uraume where the other person wasn't on the verge of tears.
Interesting.

"Did you listen to that song I sent you?" You ask, turning to Tommy next to you.
He shyly and slowly shakes his head no.
"Bro, why not?"
"I forgot! I forgot, I swear" He half-laughs, raising his hands in defense before the play fighting and shouting began. "I meant to listen to it when you sent it to me but I was eating with Molly and fell asleep watching a movie"
Ranboo raises an eyebrow, "What song?"
"Yeah! by Ludacris"
"Oh my God I love that song!" Ranboo and Freddie exclaim in unison, sending the three of you into fits of laughter.
Tubbo is silent as he sits in front of his setup, just watching you talk for a moment. He then speaks up, confused.
"Tommy, have you never listened to Yeah?"
"No, I don't think so" The blonde answers with a shrug. "Y/n was talking about how it's an American classic or something"
"You sound so stupid right now" Ranboo chuckles.
Within the span of the next minute or so, it turned into you, Ranboo, and Freddie singing a portion of the song since Tubbo couldn't play it on stream, the two T's just watching and listening. This was quite usual, just, odd, but it made sense because the three of you were all running off of adrenaline and coffee at this point. The sun had set long ago, it was about midnight, and you were all having a sleepover anyways, so why not make the stream fun before you all passed out?
"Up in the club with my homies, trying to get a lil V-I, keep it down on the lowkey" Ranboo, starts, pulling you into the song halfway through the line as the others begin to smile and laugh.
"You should know how it feels" You look to the Webcam with the weird TikTok fuckboy look, a sideways L made from your pointer finger and thumb under your chin.
Freddie joins in by the next line, on your left, slinging an arm around your shoulders, which starts a slight school-play-remix of the song.
"I seen shorty, she was checking on me, from the game she was spitting in my ear, you would think that she know me" Freddie runs a hand through his hair to fix it up a bit.
The three of you turn it into a full-blown trio song, singing together as Tubbo and Tommy laugh and smile, with the chat spamming the lyrics along.
"I decided to chill, conversation got heavy, she had me feeling like she was ready to blow!" Ranboo giggles, trying to maintain their composure. "She's saying come get me, so I got up and followed her to the floor. She said baby let's go!"
The loudest point of the song now came, with Tubbo moving towards the side so you could be in full focus of the camera while Tommy records you three to the side, wanting to show Molly.
"When I told her, I said yeah! Shorty got down low, said 'come and get me!"
The three of you begin dancing in your seats as you sing along, hiding laughter, which was evident in the way you sang-shouted. You go through the whole song, including a tap-dancing bit from Ranboo, which you didn't understand whatsoever. But, as time passes, the five of you begin to delve into the deep abyss of 5 Minute Crafts and Troom Troom on stream, creating a whole section of commentary together.
"This has to be fetish content." You comment, watching in creeped-out-awe as the video is just about people sitting on and squishing things.
"I can't see how it isn't" Ranboo shrugs, "Who is watching this?"
"Probably like, middle aged moms, you'd think" Tubbo replies, "Or like, brainrotted YouTube Kids children"
"Probably the latter"
The group votes on no more Troom Troom, feeling genuinely weirded out by some of the stuff on their page. You get Tubbo to pull up 5 Minute Crafts, a much better option.
"I hope that slide caves in" Tommy comments, seeing a thumbnail or a slide being made out of cardboard boxes.
"Me too, brother" You smile, "I mean how would it not? That child looks like they're maybe 80 pounds, this is a safety violation"
"Oh my God" Tubbo speaks, resting his head in his hands.
Freddie is the first to laugh, doubling over in his chair as Tubbo clicks on the video with the cursed thumbnail. "Did you see that?"
"Y/n was right, this has to be fetish content"
"What fetish includes eating off of toilet seats!?" Tommy loudly questions, seeing you stare into space out of shock and concern.
"That's probably the worst idea to solve that problem too, like, it'll still roll off and it hurts to have a whole toilet seat around your neck, ceramic or not" Ranboo chuckles, repositioning to sit criss-cross in their chair.
"Oh my God" You cringe, "Why are we putting pounds of garlic into a stick of butter??"
"I bet you that texture is so rank when you taste it..." Tommy cringes as well, seeing the oil being frozen after baking for reusable purposes. "It looks chunky!"
Freddie fake gags, crying about how he wanted to go home.
"Okay, no more!" Tubbo chuckles, clicking away to the YouTube home page. "Enough of that, I feel myself losing braincells"
Tommy shouts, hands to his mouth to create more sound. "Troom Troom for president 2024!"
"And I thought what we had was already awful"

Quest Added: Saving Fowling Village
In other words...A Sonic BotW Au!
Read here or on Ao3!
And thanks to my beta reader/lovely gf @crystallizabethine!
There wasn’t a lot Sonic remembered from before his nap these days, but one fact he did know was that the foxes had been the fastest race in the region. As a bustling village with elite warriors that used twin tails to soar for miles, they had been instrumental in the fight against Robotnik and his army. While the rest of them had attacked from land and sea, the foxes had swooped in from above to snatch weapons straight from enemy hands.
Now, walking into the village, only remnants of their history remained. Runways had long since been blocked off in favor of filling the area with extra supplies or new shops. The spiraled, jutting rock they had built their home on had become more of a hindrance than an advantage as its locals trekked up and down the platforms they had built years prior. Despite this, the foxes seemed to have done well for themselves, considering most of the world had been overrun by bloodthirsty robots for the past century.
Except for, well, the whole tail thing.
Where before, Fowling Village had been a shining haven filled with foxes drifting lazily overhead or soaring from landing to landing, now they scurried along on fluffy, calloused paws that thumped along the wood floors. As kind as ever, they welcomed Sonic with open arms and directions toward the divine beast soaring overhead.
“Too high,” the shopkeeper muttered with disdain as she wrapped his supplies in soft cloth. “We foxes planted our feet on the ground a century ago, after that Robotnik started nosing too close into our business. Shot down too many good soldiers- or so I heard. Our elders decided then and there that no fox would risk a flight again, not while that Robotnik and his bots were still lurking around.”
Guilt curdled in his stomach. His own confrontation with Robotnik was enough to keep him asleep for a hundred years. He hadn’t been around to help in the fallout, he could only imagine the shockwaves that hit the regions after he and Shadow both fell, followed quickly by their companions. The region’s only line of defense all that time had been dependent on Shadow being stubborn enough to wait for Sonic to wake up and come headbutt Robotnik into oblivion.
Knowing that he had, in part, caused the foxes to change their entire lifestyle sent a shard of deep, burning shame spearing straight through his chest. With any luck, no other region will have followed suit.
The shopkeeper shoved the bundle of arrows into his arms and heaved a sigh. “Most of us did, anyway.”
“Most?”
The shopkeeper snorted, “see for yourself. He sticks to the outskirts, these days.” She glanced up as she shoved his rings under the counter, eyes sharp. “One day, he’ll learn to keep his feet on the ground. For all our sake.”
After a night spent in the hotel a few floors above, Sonic gathered up his belongings and headed into the woods to search for food to store for later. As soon as he took down the divine beast, he was southbound for the desert. Getting rations and water now meant he wouldn’t have to worry halfway across a dried out wasteland.
Probably.
But the deeper he went, the more Sonic discovered that most of the plants in the area had already been picked clean. He wouldn’t have expected the foxes to be scavenging this far from the village, not when the sound of bots still rang in the distance. Foxes were brave, sure, but not stupid. But then, if it wasn’t the villagers, who-?
Unless the shopkeeper had been telling the truth and an outcast really was staying somewhere nearby. Assuming things hadn’t changed too much, he remembered a small clearing Nine had showed him, ages before the battle, with any luck, maybe it would still have some berries he could scrounge up.
Shockingly, finding the clearing had been easy work. Despite the time passed, a lot of the old paths he had traveled were still the same, if more worn than he remembered. The hard part, however, was the fact that it certainly wasn’t home to just berries anymore. With how much overgrowth had spread across the area, he could see the appeal of taking over the space, Sonic just hoped he wasn’t encroaching on anyone’s territory.
As far as shelters went, the space didn’t offer much, but clearly provided a home safely out of sight of the bots roaming nearby. A thin ream of cloth had been unfurled and fashioned into a leaning tent that jutted out from where it was stuck to a tree and stuck into the ground with a thin metal rod. A bundle of blankets sat against the tree, surrounded by bits and bobs from what Sonic was almost certain was Robotnik tech.
He took a step closer, maybe someone was still inside who could explain.
How in the world-?
The snap came before Sonic fully processed what was happening. A loud crack sounded and suddenly Sonic was flying up through the air as something wrapped around his ankle and held him there, dangling upside down in front of the tent.
Feet were quick to drop to the ground behind him as a voice snapped behind him, “back away from the tent and maybe I’ll let you go.”
Sonic swung uselessly back and forth.
The voice behind him sighed, “oh…right.”
Rustling sounded from somewhere behind him as Sonic wiggled his free leg to spin in a circle. It worked, possibly a bit too well when he spun too fast. He whipped around in a circle as spots of green-brown-orange-green flashed past.
Snap!
The pressure against his ankle vanished and with it, the only thing holding him in place did too. He crashed to the ground in a pile of limbs and rope, spitting out a mouthful of dirt as he sat up.
Wide blue eyes were staring down at him as he did so. Covered in dirty, unkempt fur, the kid staring back at him couldn’t have been more than eight or so. Behind him, two thick tails whipped back and forth.
Which made him really question the crossbow clutched between his fingers, directed straight at Sonic’s forehead.
On instinct, his hands went up as he scrambled to his feet. “Easy, kid. Easy, I don’t want any trouble, honest.”
The kid took several, staggered steps backward. He jutted the crossbow toward Sonic again, as if waiting for Sonic to spring into action. When no attack came from either side, they stood staring the other down.
Eventually, the crossbow dropped to the kid’s side while his finger remained on the trigger.
“What are you doing here?”
“I’m a friend,” he promised. “I’m guessing you don’t have a lot of those.”
The kid’s frown only deepened, “that doesn’t answer my question. Why are you here?”
And if that wasn’t the question of Sonic’s life. New and old. To save the village, followed shortly by the world? To find some supplies? Or maybe to help out a kid who reminded him far too much of the friends he left behind a century ago?
“I was looking for you, actually. Some of the locals said you were good with tech, that true?”
Actually, they had had a lot more to say about the kid’s other talents first, until he had shoved the tablet under their noses and asked if they knew anyone who could help him upgrade it in a final bid to change the subject. Only then had another child hesitantly mentioned that some locals went to the kid when their own tech needed fixing. Judging by the meager supplies he had seen in the tent, he guessed they didn’t pay much. If at all.
When Rouge had tossed him the tablet- weeks ago, at this point- she had mentioned it was already on the fritz and would need upgrades to continue functioning properly and stop this entire mess.
And maybe when he frowned, the kid looked a little too much like Nine had, all those years ago. He was outsourcing, was all. It wasn’t his fault if the help he found happened to look like old friends. He couldn’t save the world without it, after all.
Finally, the kid nodded and snatched up the offered tablet. Now wholly distracted, he wandered over to the tent with his head bent low and started tinkering with the tools from his belt.
He waited for any indication that the kid would pick up the crossbow, now sitting at his side, again. When none came, Sonic slowly came to sit beside him, close enough to watch his work, but far enough that he wouldn’t get in the way.
“The name’s Sonic, by the way.”
“I know,” he muttered. “You’re here to stop the beast, like you did in the Echidna domain.”
“The news has already made it here?” He and Knuckles had only regained control of his Divine Beast about a week ago. When he left, word was still spreading through town, much less this far across the kingdom.
He shrugged, “kinda. I’ve been keeping tabs on you, too.”
Sonic opened his mouth, ready to ask how exactly he was accomplishing that then realized that, no, actually, he didn’t want to know.
“I’m Sonic, by the way,” he said again.
The kid shot him a glance. “I know? You already mentioned that.”
“Which is usually the part where the other person would introduce themselves. So you are…?”
“Uh, Miles. But I prefer Tails,” he said, reaching to pull his own two close as he watched Sonic through narrowed eyes.
The villagers had spoken of the kid with such disdain that Sonic had almost been expecting to find some brat raring to bite him the first chance he got. And while he wasn’t entirely certain Tails wouldn’t bite, Sonic was getting the feeling his reputation had been highly exaggerated.
Flight had been something to be revered among foxes back in Sonic’s day. Not everyone had been capable, but those that could had been highly respected and often sent on the village’s most important missions.
Like fighting Robotnik’s army.
To think, two tails- flight- meant being ousted from the village now, especially so young…Nine would have been disgusted with his people.
Sonic was, too.
Maybe Fowling Village wouldn’t do right by this kid, but Sonic certainly would.
He reached a hand out to knock against the kid’s knee. “It’s good to meet you, Tails.”
The beginnings of a smile twitched against Tails’s lips.
“I should be done soon. But it would really speed things up if you went into the village and grabbed me some extra parts. I have some extra rings you can take with you.”
“Keep them, kid. I’ve got plenty, what do you need?”
It was true for once, too. He had picked up a few odd jobs on the trip over and had enough to last him a few more weeks if he was careful. Plus, he wasn’t about to let Tails spend his own rings fixing something he messed up.
This was how, ten minutes later, Sonic found himself walking back into the village’s only shop to dig through their bucket of spare parts collected from Robotnik’s defeated bots.
“I apologize, I’m sure that boy is sending you all over Mobius to collect parts for him. It must be so degrading, having to put up with his nonsense when you are trying so hard to save our world.”
The shopkeeper from before leaned across the counter as she spoke, a few other patrons snickered into their paws.
“Yeah,” he snapped. “Saving the world and everyone in it, which includes the child you all have left to fend for himself in woods brimming with bots.”
The bag in his hands, now filled with much more than Tails had originally asked for, dropped down on the counter with a heavy clang.
“Did you know, a century ago foxes like him were revered for their skills? They were at the forefront of the fight with Robotnik and personally helped me seal him away, all to protect the future. Only to come back and find you tossing those same people aside to ease your own guilt.”
A handful of rings clattered across the counter as Sonic snatched his bag back up. The shop and its patrons had gone silent, openly staring as he walked toward the door.
“You’re lucky I’m better than you,” he called. “Or I would let the Divine Beast have its way with this place.”
By the time Sonic returned, Tails had effectively dismantled and rebuilt the entire tablet until it was almost unrecognizable.
Tails was already rambling about the work he had done once Sonic sat down and passed him the bag.
“I hadn’t realized how primitive your technology had been back then. Honestly, I’m not sure how you were getting anywhere with that thing. Your map was wildly out of date-” so that was why he kept getting lost. Who knew? “-Don’t worry, though, I updated it all for you. Using it now should be a breeze.”
Five minutes later and Tails was passing the newly dubbed Miles Electric (“I hope you don’t mind. Calling it a tablet just felt so…ancient.”) back to him. He turned it over in his hands, inspecting every new feature and how it shined in a way it hadn’t since long before his big nap.
Tails watched him the entire time, explaining everything he had done, including what had changed, what had been upgraded, and what he had added in just for fun, as he put it.
“It should be much more useful for you now in your fight against Robotnik.” Tails was openly smiling now, like he knew he had done well and was hoping that maybe Sonic would say so, too.
He rocked back on the balls of his feet, tails finally coming to life to flutter behind him. Not flying, but coming close.
It hit Sonic once again that this was just a kid, younger than even Nine had been when they met. Too young to be so unkempt and out on his own like this. Which made this part all the easier.
“This is fantastic, Tails, thank you. Really, Robotnik won’t know what hit him.” He sighed. “But I think this might be too much for me. This is a lot of change to take in all at once.”
Tails’s brows furrowed, “but you can learn right? It might take a while, but you could figure it out and then get right back to fighting Robotnik.”
“I could- and I will. But I was thinking, the world has changed a lot in the time I was gone. It might be a good idea if I had a guide, someone who knew more and could help me navigate the new world. A partner of some kind.”
“Oh, right. I guess that would make sense. You could talk to some of the elders in the village, they would probably have some suggestions.”
Tails turned away to tug on the drawstrings of the bag. His eyes stayed focused on the ground, but Sonic could see the way they began to dim.
“Actually, I was thinking it could be you. If you’re not too busy around here, that is.”
The drawstrings dropped to the ground as Tails whipped his head up to look at him. He frowned, “why?” Sonic tried to look relaxed as he shrugged, “why not? You seem to know enough to help out, plus you’re way more interesting than any of the others I’ve come across around the village.”
“...Are you sure? The villagers won’t be as willing to help you if they find out we’re working together.”
“Meh, I think I already burned that bridge anyway.”
“Wait, what did you-”
“Anyway, what do you say kid, wanna help me take down Robotnik?”
A long stare as Tails looked him over for any sign he might have been lying. Any suggestion the offer could be a cruel trick.
Another long suffering moment, then, “I’m stubborn. If you let me tag along, you won’t be able to get rid of me.”
“A little company would do me good. It’s better than talking to bots, anyway.”
“The villagers aren’t the only ones who would be upset about seeing us together,” he warned.
“Then they can go through me. I mean it, kid, if you want to come, there’s a spot waiting for you. Or do you have a few more scare tactics you wanna try first?”
“You mean it?”
At this point, Sonic wants to take him by the shoulders and shake him until the offer finally sinks in. Instead, “I do. I really do.”
Tails leaned back on his palms, pushed himself up, then grinned as his tails began to lift him into the air. His gaze landed on the distant figure of the Divine Beast, still circling the village. Its cry rang through the air.
“Great, then let’s start by saving Fowling Village.”

WIP Wednesday (2/15/23)
The spy!Merlin AU melee fill continues…
(Note: Yes, this is a day late. In my defense, I’d typed this WIP Wednesday post last night, but I’d had a reeeeally long day and was super tired, so I actually fell asleep halfway through tagging it. *facepalm*)
“Hello, 007,” Agent LeFaye greeted smoothly, stepping out of the shadowed alcove to his left. The fluorescent lights of the Shadow Division’s subterranean corridor reflected off her impeccably sleek ponytail, not a hair out of place. She clucked her tongue. “Shame about the Brioni.”
Merlin paused, halfway through absently knotting his tie in a full windsor, and glanced down to see the rip in his left sleeve. He groaned. “I liked this suit.”
“Gwen’s not going to be happy.”
“Because I damaged her prototype, or because the new kevlar-wool blend wasn’t as bulletproof as she’d hoped?”
Morgana shrugged one slim shoulder. “Probably both.”
“Next time I’m in Guatemala, I’ll bring her some of that fancy ethical coffee she likes so much as an apology. Unfortunately, I have more pressing problems.” He started off down the corridor.
Morgana fell into step beside him. “Would one of those problems be my half-brother, by chance?”
“How did you—?”
“Lance saw you bring him in. I’ll give you points for flare, but I’m afraid I’ll have to deduct points for subtlety. Specifically lack thereof. I’m astounded that no one in MI6 saw you carrying him down the alley, barely ten yards from the security checkpoint.”
“Thanks,” Merlin said dryly. “Could you save the insults for later? I’m on a rather tight schedule.”
“Of course; I’ll pencil it in for Thursday. Now, why did you bring him here?”
Merlin felt his jaw twitch.
Morgana’s sculpted brows rose. “You didn’t get the info?”
“No.”
“I did warn you he wouldn’t be an easy mark,” she observed quietly.
Merlin huffed. “You told me he was ‘very good at evasive small talk’. You didn’t tell me he was bloody better than most of MI6.”
Morgana’s mouth curved up in a smug smile. “I should hope so. I taught him everything he knows.”
That pulled him up sharp. “You?” he demanded, turning to face her. “Why didn’t you tell me that in the mission brief?”
“I assumed you could handle it.”
Merlin huffed a self-effacing laugh and set off again. “Yes, well, ‘best laid plans’ and all that.”
“Hmm,” Morgana agreed, matching him stride for stride. “And ‘pride goeth before the fall’.”
Merlin swallowed a growl of frustration. “Why would you teach him in the first place?”
The smile slipped from her lips, replaced by a fierce, protective gleam in her eyes. “Let’s just say it was a personal favor.”

Magnus nearly tripped up the stairs when someone pounded at his door. He had to reach for the railing to catch himself just in time, his head spinning in an uncomfortable way. He had just been going to bed, but, well, not anymore he supposed. There was second, more aggressive round of knocks.
"Magnus," a voice said from the other side of the door. "I swear to Gods if you don't answer this door I will magic missile it down!"
"Uhm, ma'am, maybe threatening violence isn't the best idea-"
"He deserves it if he's already asleep. Humans are weak. No offense." the voice got louder again. "Count of ten, Mags!" Another thunderous round of knocks. Magnus hurried to open the door and Lup's fist nearly collided with his face.
It was dark outside, which was understandable considering it was... well, Magnus didn't know the exact time, but it was probably pretty deep into the night. The porch lights around the rest of the cul-de-sac were off with the exception of Lup and Taako's weird joint house. Magnus could see that the window into their living room was still lit up.
Magnus supposed that made sense since Lup was right in front of him. She was still fully dressed and, concerningly, fully covered in blood. Cowering behind Lup's body a bit was Angus McDonald, who looked halfway between pissed off and like he'd rather be anywhere else. Two emotions Magnus knew quite well when it came to his family.
"Oh, good, you're awake," Lup said, inviting herself in. Angus trailed behind her, sullen. Magnus waited until they had shuffled further in to close the door. Lup deposited Angus onto the couch.
"I-" she began and then paused. "What're you wearing?"
Magnus looked down at this shirt, with two hands pointing up at his face with the words "THIS GUY IS MAGNUS BURNSIDES' BIGGEST FAN". Notably, he was also only wearing underwear. Underwear with little ducks on it.
"This is what I sleep in," Magnus said defensively.
"We can- I'm gonna circle back to that after," Lup said. "Do you want a kid?"
"Do I... what?"
"See, he doesn't want an almost teenager!" Angus piped up from the couch. Magnus felt like he was missing half of this conversation. Maybe even three-fourths of it. "In fact, I'm pretty sure I don't want a Magnus, either, Miss Lup, so I think I should be going now-"
Angus tried to stand up, but Lup pushed him back onto the couch.
"I will magically restrain you," she said seriously. To Magnus, she continued, "Do you want a kid? 'Cus no offense to like, Taako and Kravitz, but I don't think they know how kids work. I saw Kravitz talk to a baby like he talks to Barry, which is concerning in a several different ways. And considering I just got my body back after like, seven bazillion years of not having one, I am not ready to be a parent. Dav's not around enough for it, Merle's got his own lil' shitheads, and, uh, Lucretia..."
"Director Lucretia is very nice," Agnus said. "But she also offered me wine during my entrance interview. And laughed when I fell down one time."
"So between the guy who through his off a train, the women who decided it would a good idea to hire a ten-year-old without asking about his background, and, y'know, me and Barry, I think you're the most qualified."
"Hang on," Magnus said, rubbing his eyes. "Okay, recap. Angus needs an adult why? Doesn't he have a grandpa?"
"Everyone has a grandpa, sir, biologically," Angus said.
"Magnus," Lup said. "I'm gonna break this down real simple for you because, T-B-H, it's been a fucking stressful night and I don't want Angus to have to go through it all again-"
"I think I can explain it pretty well, ma'am-"
"He doesn't have anyone," Lup stressed. "No grandpa, no parents, no friends or some shit-"
"I have-!"
"Nothing," Lup continued. "And as much it pains me to say this, you are our next best option in terms of giving a child what they need to sort of kind of thrive instead of just, y'know, living on the streets."
"I wasn't on the streets!" Angus defended. "I have an apartment!"
"Your heater doesn't work," Lup said.
"It's summer," Angus said. "I don't need a heater." To Magnus, he said, "sir, please make her reconsider! I was doing perfectly fine and everything. I almost have enough for rent this month too, so it's fine! And I'm a terrible roommate, to be honest, sir. I think it'd be better for everyone if Miss Lup would just take me home and I can shower and then go to bed because I am a very little boy and it's very past my bedtime, sir."
Angus blinked innocently up at him.
"We found him in the middle of a cult, Mags," Lup said. "A cult."
Magnus had never seen Angus's look go from completely innocent to pissed off so quickly. But he kept his mouth shut and glared at Lup from behind her back. Magnus took a moment to take a good look at Angus now that he could. He, too, was pretty bloody. He was cradling his hand in a way that made Magnus think it was hurt somehow. And he was small. So small. Magnus was reminded of a puppy he saw the other day, if only the puppy was full of prepubescent rage and covered in necromancer blood. At least, Magnus hoped it was necromancer blood and not his own.
"You can stay for the night," Magnus said. "I'll give you a pajama shirt and we'll get you to set up in the guest room, okay? The rest of this-" he gestured to Lup and Angus as a whole, "can wait until tomorrow. I am so ready to pass out for seven to eight hours."
"But I'm going back to my apartment tomorrow," Angus said. "Right, sir? Ma'am?"
"That's a convo for tomorrow," Magnus said before Lup could answer. Both Lup and Angus scoffed, but neither objected any further, which Magnus considered a win. "C'mon. I've got like, a hundred of these shirts."
"I'll get you one of Barry's," Lup said quickly. She held out a hand and her scythe appeared. "Don't let him trick you into that, Angus. I'll be right back."
She cut a rift in the middle of Magnus's living room and stepped through. It closed behind her with a loud zipping noise. Angus glanced at Magnus with a critical eye.
"Would it make her more upset if I took one of your shirts?" he asked after a few tense moments of Magnus not knowing how to react to what he liked to call "Angus's Detective Look".
"Definitely," Magnus said. "I'll go get you one." Angus grinned.
Guess he had a kid now.

Cuddles - Mathew Barzal
Words: 2.7k+
Type: Fluff
Summary: Every time Mat comes back from a roadie, he becomes the clingiest person known to Earth, which means that he will do absolutely anything to get your attention and his god damn cuddles.
Warnings: PDA - just Mat being really touchy and stuff. There isn’t a mention on reader’s gender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mathew is not really the type of person that constantly seeks affection. He just likes his own space from time to time. Especially outside of the house, he’ll hold your hand but he’s not one to hug you out of nowhere, unlike some couples in your friend group.
But, that is only when he hasn’t been away from you for some time. If, for example, you two go spend the holidays with your families (separated), Mathew is not leaving your side when you’re back together. He absolutely will not let you go to do anything.
So you better take the week off work, every time, you got a man to cuddle.
And now that you two have been dating for a longer time, officially living under the same roof and doing everything like a whole married couple, Mathew’s seeking for affection after being away is through the roof. Like, he’s out for 2 weeks for a roadie, expect that men to hug you by the bus and never let go of you until you need to pee.
You believe that it might be because he now gets so used to seeing you everywhere in the house that when he leaves, he has that silence and that person missing.
Yet, still, you never, in a million years, expected him to take his hugs so seriously.
And that is exactly what’s happening right now. He went out for a long roadie, which he can’t complain much because the Islanders won a lot and he had a great time with his friends, but, god damn it, he hated that he had to spend such a long time away from you and just staring at you through a screen.
He came back home late at night, around 4 in the morning, and even though you two felt exhausted - and you were half asleep - he still hugged you and stayed with his arms around you for a good 5 minutes. That is even without closing the front door when he came in.
And when you did reach the bed, you two fell asleep in just a few seconds.
You were able to wake up, naturally, early and Mathew looked so peaceful when you woke up that you tried your best not to move too much and wake him on accident. That man needs rest, and you seriously can’t take that away from him.
So, you used your silent Sunday morning to the best of your ability, did a lengthy morning routine, just to have that moment with yourself in calm days: take a long relaxing shower, and even do a mask and test new products on your face.
You’re honestly living your best life.
And even after those good 40-50 minutes in the bathroom, Mathew is still asleep when you walk out.
So, you decide to go have breakfast and probably, just if you’re feeling like it, clean the apartment - an activity you’ve been hesitating to do for days, but, sooner or later, you do have to do it.
And you, like the brave soul that you are, started working on it as soon as you can. Literally downed your coffee like a shot, ate a granola bar, and cleaning you went.
The living room and bathrooms were fairly easy and quick, but as soon as you started with the kitchen, a wild sleepy Mathew makes an appearance.
“Morning.” You say with a smile.
With his eyes still half-closed yet a grin on his face, Mathew walks over to you, slowly starting to open his arms. You put down the rag onto the counter and meet him halfway to wrap your arms around his torso. His arms wrap around your shoulders and squeeze you close.
He leans his cheek onto your head and you close your eyes, feeling and enjoying Mathew’s warmth through the thin shirt you’re wearing.
“How did you sleep?” You ask him.
“Good. I was so tired.” He says while letting out a sigh.
You squeeze him one time and move your head back to stare up at him. He looks down to meet your gaze and gives you a quick kiss, almost as if he’s stealing one.
“What do you want to do today?” He asks you, and you can’t help but hold in a cringe.
“I don’t know if we can do anything exciting today.” You tell him slowly.
“Why?” He asks with a confused frown.
“I have a lot to do today.” You start, “I have to finish cleaning the house, probably go grocery shopping and do my meals for the week.”
A loud and long groan leaves Matthew’s mouth as he throws his head back dramatically and you unwrap your arms from around him to hold his sides.
“I’m sorry.” You try to make it better with a soft tone. “Were you planning on doing anything?”
He brings his head back up and shakes his head.
“Just wanted to spend time with you.” He says before pulling you into a hug again, “And cuddle.” He says against your neck.
You wrap your arms around him again and run your hand up and down his back comfortingly.
“I’m still going to be at home. I just won’t be able to cuddle until I’m done with everything.” You tell him and he sighs dramatically. “You can always help me? So I’m done with all of this quicker.”
Mathew stays silent, still snuggled into your neck, and doesn’t even move a muscle.
Accepting his silence as an answer of ‘no, thank you’ or even ‘let me wake up first and I’ll answer you’, you try to move away from him, laying your hands by his sides again and pushing him away ever so slightly. But, right as Mathew feels the pressure of you pulling him away, he stops you by squeezing you a bit closer.
“Nooo.” He whines, making you laugh, “Just a few more seconds.”
(...)
Mathew, surprisingly, after his long morning shower and eating his breakfast (over the table you just cleaned), actually offered to help. He ignored your surprised look, looked at you, and just asked “what do you need me to do?”.
And off Mat went to clean your room and make the bed. You just finished off with the kitchen and swept some floors, and, honestly, you don’t think you’ve ever got everything done so quickly.
With Mathew still in the bedroom, you decide to start working on the list of groceries. Opening every cabinet and the fridge multiple times, you typed into your phone’s notes what is missing and what you’ll eventually need in a space of a few hours after cooking.
While deep into your task, you don’t notice Mat coming back from the bedroom with the full dirty laundry basket - mostly because he just emptied his travel bag and just changed the sheets. He walks through the kitchen to the laundry room and yet you don’t blink an eye in his direction.
You are so focused that Mat is starting to think that someone could rob the apartment, right now, and you wouldn’t even notice them.
When the laundry is separated and some of it is already on the machine, which is already on, Mat walks back out to the kitchen and notices you typing on your phone.
“Do you want to go to get the food before lunch?” He asks you, in hopes you would answer him.
You just nod, while scrolling through the list to see if you didn’t repeat anything.
Mat stares at you for a bit, taking a second or two to admire you - something he was unable to do for a good few days. He takes a few steps closer, almost as if testing the waters, and stands right beside you.
He acts as if he’s checking the list you’re writing, and leans in close to you. You, still in your own world, pay him no mind and continue to type and check at least 3 times in the row if anything is missing on the list.
His arms sneakily wrap around your hips and he pulls you closer to him to the point of completely having you against him. He lays a kiss on the side of your head and looks down at your phone again, not wanting to disrupt you too much.
Your vacant hand lays over his arm, caressing it unconsciously as you delete a few words and type some new ones.
“Want to go to the store with me?” You ask him.
You look up at him as Mat doesn’t say anything and when your eyes meet, he gives you a quick nod. You smile at him and he kisses your cheek.
(...)
“You know...” You start while looking at the shelves down the aisle, “You’re making it really hard to walk, babe.”
“I don’t know what you mean by that.”
You laugh at Mat and he smiles against your shoulder. He has been doing this every time the aisle you’re walking down is empty - which is almost every aisle. He has his arms around your waist and is holding you from behind close to him while you try to walk with the shopping cart right in front of you.
You don’t even know how many times you’ve tripped over each other’s feet, but Mat doesn’t seem to mind it at all.
You look down at your list and delete the name of another item as you throw it inside the cart.
“You look really beautiful today.” Mat says against your ear before pressing a kiss over the side of your head.
You look over at him and he leans his head back to look at you better, as well. A small grin lifts off the corners of your lips and he smiles before giving you a kiss.
As you two pull away, you turn your attention back to the aisle in front of you.
“Good to know I just look like that today.” You say to him in the most serious tone ever.
Mat giggles at your words beside your ear and soon your serious act lifts off. In your defense, it’s hard to do so when he’s that close to your ear, giggling his sanity away.
“You know what I mean.” He says while poking your side.
“You’re lucky I do.”
He smiles brightly and goes back to leaning his head over your shoulder. Good thing for him, the store is almost empty, so he can do that for most of the time you’re here.
You stop the cart once more and start, with the best of your ability, putting the things you need from the shelves into the center of the cart.
Soft humming is heard a few meters behind you, yet both you and Mat seem to ignore it. An old lady, with a little basket on her hand, walks down the aisle innocently, looking through the products on the shelves, and as she studies all the varieties, her eyes land on you.
Her view is quite interesting. You’re looking down at your phone, lifting your gaze to squint at what’s in front of you - what she assumes is the signs about each aisle - and a man, Mat, is with his dark hair mostly covered by his hoodie, even though some strands are falling to his forehead, hugging you close to him while peeking down at your phone.
If she wasn’t such a romantic person, she would’ve thought about and probably criticized - in her mind - how clingy you both looked. Yet she’s not one to turn her nose in disgust at such things, quite the opposite. She’s the one that smiles upon seeing them.
“Mat, can you pass me that bag?” She hears you ask the boy while giving him a pat on the head to get his attention.
He doesn’t verbally answer, but, right away, he stands upright and reaches up for the bag your pointing at the top of the shelves.
“Wait- Not that one.” You told him.
“Why not?” He frowns in confusion.
“It doesn’t look good.”
He gives you a look as if you’re going crazy and grabs your wished bag of sugar while listening to you giggle at his annoyance. When the bag reaches the center of the cart, he goes back to behind you and goes back to his warm, kind of, hiding place.
And that’s when the lady decides to not stare for much longer, in hopes she wouldn’t spook anyone, and walks away to continue her shopping.
You, without even blinking at Mat’s actions, start moving forward out of the aisle and onto the next one. And that’s when your eyes land on the lady, who is walking by you now, at a way faster pace - you got to blame Mat for that one; you swear that a sloth moves faster than you two.
(...)
“Are you done, now?” Mat asks for probably the 100th time in the past hour.
You put down the rinsed pan on the washing machine and finally look back at Mat while closing it.
“Yes.”
“Really?” He asks with widened eyes, “Or are you joking?”
“I’m 100% serious.”
Mathew stands from the high chair of the island and walks over to you right away. He grabs onto your hand and starts pulling you towards the living room and couch, finally going after what he has been wishing all day long. His god damn cuddles.
You have been cooking for the past hour and some more minutes for your meals to eat during the week for work - a habit you’ve started having for a few months and can’t seem to not do it when there’s a big week incoming.
In other words, the restaurants around your work aren’t that great, you’re tired of sandwiches and you’ve been finding yourself too tired during the week to do lunch in the morning or on the night before. So, meal prepping, it is.
You and Mathew walk into the living room and he’s quick to snatch the largest blanket you had just folded this morning. He lets go of your hand before giving a look, almost as if to tell you, ‘don’t you dare move’.
You smile at him as he lays over the couch and motions you to come closer. He grabs onto the tv remote first, probably to get a movie going, just for background noise, and you lay with him.
Your face lays over Mat’s chest comfortably and you feel him shake the blanket around before draping it over the two of you. A little grin is planted over your face as he practically starts tucking you in, close to him.
As soon as the movie is chosen, Mat’s arms wrap around you and he pulls you even closer.
The both of you stare at the TV in silence. You’re just curious to see what movie he chose, while Mat just wants to see if the movie is any good.
But then, suddenly, an uneasy feeling hits the end of your tummy.
Oh no, he’s going to absolutely hate you.
How are you even supposed to tell him this?
You try to focus on the screen and forget about all your needs. You just got to focus, Y/N, come on.
Not even five minutes later, you feel like you can’t hold it in anymore. Ugh, just do it.
“Hey, Mat?” You ask, tone a little hesitant.
“Yeah?” He asks, moving his hand up and down your back.
“I need to tell you something and, please, don’t be mad.”
Mathew frowns and looks away from the screen at you. He’s confused, you can tell. You can’t really blame him, you were just fine a few minutes ago, and now you sounded like you were about to unleash a bomb.
“Okay...?” He says almost as if to encourage you to talk, since you stayed very quiet.
“I might need to go pee.” You tell him.
His hand abruptly stops moving on your back and his expression of confusion falls into an expression of disbelief.
“Are you serious?” He asks.
“Yeah.” You say, biting your lips as if to keep in your giggles.
“How dare you?”
A giggle finally escapes your mouth and you notice his lips twitching slightly as he tries not to smile and continue his serious act.
“I’ll be right back, yeah?” You tell him as you start sitting up on your knees.
“Screw you.” He tells you and you laugh again.
You’re quick on standing back on your feet and make your way to the bathroom, very fast-paced.
“I love you too, Barzal!” You tell him as you walk out of the room.

Hope this is good!

summary: you ask yourself what your husband's reaction would be if you didn't tell him you loved him back
Tumblr media
“So I tried it—and he didn’t even notice!” Karina grumbled over the rim of her glass, earning drunk exclamations and agreements around the table.
Suji shook her head and wagged her pointer finger in the air and moaned. “My husband will go weeks without telling me he loves me these days, I doubt he’d even care if I never told him I loved him again.”
Slurred words of comfort rang through the air before the attention turned to you, already shying away from their sudden stares. “Y/n, what about you? What do you think your husband’s reaction would be if you suddenly stopped telling him you loved him?”
You opened your mouth to attempt to answer the question you’d never thought about, but were saved by Karina’s loud snicker, almost dropping and shattering her glass as it almost slipped from her loose grip. “Y/n has that man wrapped around her pinky. I legitimately thought Yoongi was incapable of smiling before he met her. He’d probably die of heartbreak.”
“Oh, lucky you!”
“That’s so cute!”
“I’m so jealous!”
More versions of the same kind of phrases were cried out as your cheeks heated up, embarrassed but silently agreed with you friend’s words. Not that you’d consider Yoongi wrapped around your finger and all that, but you could admit that he treated you very well, with that kind of cuteness and slight clinginess that you definitely didn’t expect when you two started dating all those years ago.
Ever since the two of you met through mutual friends, to silently draping his jacket over your shoulders when he noticed you shivering through your thin sweater, to going ahead and ordering your preferred meal choice when you running late to a dinner party, to his attentive stare that had you flushing whenever you met his gaze, to him quietly and a bit awkwardly asking you out on the first date of many—he’s been the perfect friend, then boyfriend, then husband.
It hasn’t all been a walk in the park, the two of you had your share of arguments like every other couple did, but you prided yourselves with being able to communicate your insecurities and newfound doubts the two of you ran across and worked together to reassure each other and find a solution.
That, and it seemed as if Yoongi couldn’t help but profess his love for you every chance he got. Which wasn’t something you minded at all, it was incredibly endearing and something that about made you fall in love with him all over again. You still had trouble believing he could make a complete stranger trip over their own feet in trying to get away from him by a simple glance.
How could anyone ever be scared over a cutie like him?
As the conversation around you livened up again as a new subject was brought up—ah, the drunk mind and their attention span—you took a distracted gulp from the drink in your hand.
What would Yoongi’s reaction be if you didn’t respond to the three little words he loved to shower you with?
Were you so cruel that you wanted to find out?
That was all you could think about as you returned to your house a few hours later, having taken off your heels as quietly as you could and shedding off your dress in exchange for a large shirt of his. You breathed in the calming and familiar scent of him as you snuggled into his side after half-heartedly washing up, his arms immediately opening up with an opening for you and held you to him. Still pretty much asleep, he attempted to ask you about your night and place soft kisses over whatever inch of skin he could find at the same time, already fully asleep about ten seconds later. With a breathy laugh, it wasn't long before you joined him.
You woke up earlier than you would have liked, but your stomach was screaming at you in forms of grumbles to get some food in your system. So after a quick shower to rid yourself of the groggy feeling as best you could, you retired to the kitchen, noting with a smile Yoongi still sleeping peacefully, cuddling your pillow with your absence in the bed.
You were scooping the rice into the bowls and finished frying the eggs when he emerged from the bedroom, looking absolutely adorable with the shuffling steps he took towards you and his face slightly swollen from sleep, even after he had obviously washed his face.
"Good morning, baby." He breathed his greeting into the sensitive skin of your neck as he wrapped his arms around your waist, his gummy smile making its appearance at the slight squirming and giggle that left your lips. "You should've woken me up when you did, I could've helped with breakfast."
You shook your head and gazed tenderly at the soft stare he met your eyes with, leaning in for a quick peck before you scooped the eggs off the hot pan. "It doesn't take long, I can handle it. Plus, you were sleeping so nicely, I know how tired you've been and I wanted you to sleep in a bit longer." Playfully pushing him away with your shoulder you told him to go set the table.
"Anything for Mrs. Min. I love you," He squeezed your sides once before stepping away, ignorant to the secret grin that lit up your face as you sprinkled a bit of salt on the food, hearing the clattering of utensils as well as his last three words but saying nothing.
"So, any plans for today?" You asked chirpily as you sat down, noticing him staring at you strangely, but you pretended as if nothing was out of the ordinary and stared at him expectantly with the same smile on your lips.
He blinked and gazed at the food with furrowed brows before responding, "Uh, Hoseok and I were going to go look at some equipment today. I should probably call him and see if he's up," his words were a bit distracted and he fumbled a bit with his phone while you say silent across from him, munching on the rice in your mouth.
"Okay, I'll see you in a bit." Yoongi looked at you once he was done with his short call but you were already spooning a generous amount of food in his mouth. You had heard his entire conversation with Hoseok—not that you planned to eavesdrop, but Hoseok’s voice had the ability to be heard even over the loudest siren.
"Go get ready when you're done eating, I'll take care of the dishes, you still haven't taken a shower yet."
"Did you want to come with us? We shouldn't take too long, and we can go do something after if you want?" You smiled at just how innocent and imploring he seemed as he stared at you with wide eyes and his cheeks puffed out with how much food was in his mouth.
You shook your head and took a sip of your water. "I'm good, I have a bit of a headache from yesterday. I think I'm just gonna laze around today."
"Are you sure?"
He still looked unsure, and you leaned forward as you sighed, wiping a grain of rice off the corner of his mouth. You reassured him that you’d be fine and now it was his turn to smile as your words, nodding as he hurried to finish his food.
It was under an hour later, and you were lounging on the couch when Yoongi came out, all dressed and ready to go.
"Alright, I'm heading out. I'll be back later. Call me if you need anything. Love you." He bent down with his lips puckered and you couldn't help the smile that rose the corners of your mouth as you leaned in the remaining inch and met him halfway.
“Okay, I’ll see you when you get home. Bye.” You were smiling and your eyes were trained on his face, expecting a certain reaction that you knew you’d get.
In a millisecond, the relaxed grin that had been in place on his face fell to a frown. He blinked at you and even waved a hand in front of your face. "Did you hear me? I said I love you."
You nodded and offered another smile. “Yeah, I’ll see you when you get back. Have fun.”
He blinked at you in obvious confusion now, his expression shifting into a frown as he kneeled in front of you. His eyebrows raised nearly to his hairline and he looked back at you expectantly as he repeated, “I love you, Y/n.”
You just nodded and smiled in response. “You’re going to be late.”
“Are you mad at me for something?"
"No, why would I be mad?" It was hard to keep a straight face, but this was more fun than you had previously thought it would be, even if you did feel the tiniest bit guilty at the look of concern donning his handsome features.
It about tore your heart to pieces when he gazed up at you with such a dejected and hurt expression on his face, a sad pout on his lips as he quietly whined out, “Then how come you won’t tell me you love me?”
You were going to hell for your actions that made him look at you in such anguish and you would go willingly.
“I’m so sorry,” you all but cried as you threw your arms around his shoulders, almost taking the both of you tumbling to the floor if it wasn’t for Yoongi’s fast reflexes. “I love you, I love you,” you continued to repeat those words as you grabbed his face in your hands and peppered kisses wherever you could.
Once you had pulled away, his frown was almost completely gone, he was still looking at you a bit peculiarly though he now had the barest hint of a smile as he stared at you in silence as you snuggled into him.
“I’m sorry,” you apologized again. “I didn’t mean to upset you, it’s just there was a conversation yesterday with the girls’, and they were talking about their husbands not telling them they loved them and I just wondered what your reaction would be if I did that to you.”
"What?"
"It was just a little prank." You brought your thumb and pointer finger a width of a hair strand apart to emphasize that he shouldn't take it too seriously. You sent him a smile you were hoping would appease your actions that you were regretting more with every second that passed.
"Oh, so it was just a prank?" His eyebrows were raised once again and you nodded silently, that feeling of guilt coming back. A grimace settled on his face as he stood the two of you back up and backed away a few steps, crossing his arms over his chest in a defensive stature as he interrogated, "was it was fun to make me worry about if I did something wrong?"
You shook your head and opened your mouth to refute his words but stopped at the vulnerable look that fleeted across his expression as his arms across his chest turned into a more protective gesture, kind of like he was comforting himself as he muttered, “I really thought I did something to make you stop loving me,”
“Honey, I’m so sorry. Don’t ever think that, it was just a stupid prank. I’ll never do anything like this ever again, hmm?” You rushed to him, feeling like you might seriously cry for making him feel that way. “I love you, Min Yoongi. I love you.” You were raising yourself on your tiptoes to gaze into his eyes to which he attempted to evade, but ultimately giving in when you keep persisting in your exclamation of love, giving you that smile and that fond look you associated with him.
“Okay, okay, I believe you. Say it again.”
“I love you, Yoongi. So much.”
He took your face in his hands and pressed a sweet and slow kiss to your lips. You gasped a bit in surprise when you felt his tongue sweeping along your bottom lip so suddenly, opening your mouth and he wasted no time in deepening the kiss with a small moan of his own that had you squeezing your thighs together just at the sound of it.
He tugged you even closer to him, his hands leaving your face to travel down your sides, going as far as to drift underneath your baggy shirt to get to the skin underneath and you couldn’t help shivering as you felt the slightly rough skin of the calluses on his fingers glide over your back.
“Min Yoongi, you're supposed to be meeting Hoseok in ten minutes.” You hated to pull away, especially when he was looking at you with those dark eyes, his mouth glistening and his breath faster than usual. He chose not to answer, letting his gaze linger on your mouth as he tightened his grip on your hips. You pulled further away with a sigh and a sound of surprise was pulled out of you as he pulled you against him, biting your lip as you felt the firmness of his body meeting yours.
"That can wait. I think I need to teach you a lesson about pulling pranks."
Tumblr media
bonus:
Hoseok sighed and ended the unanswered call, the fifth time he’s called Yoongi with no answer, not even answering the texts he sent, to either of you.
“That asshole told me he’d be here twenty minutes ago,” he whined, feeling his ass slowly but surely turning numb with the amount of time he’s spent sitting on his ass in the driver seat of his car waiting in the store parking lot.
Min Yoongi, just you see.

Joel Miller x Reader. Insecure Joel. No virus, no apocalypse. Divorced!Joel.
* * * * *
After his divorce with Sarah’s mother, Joel entered years of celibacy, except for the occasional hookups. He didn’t want to go down that road again, his marriage wasn’t the best one but he loved his wife and expected it to last forever, like they promised each other.
But things changed when he met you over a year ago.
It was one of those nights where his brother Tommy dragged him to a bar. You were there with some friends and the first thing he noticed about you was your smoking hot body. And before he knew it, Tommy brought you to their table to have a drink with them.
It was supposed to be one of those hookups. No strings attached. In the morning, he would’ve left and you probably wouldn’t have never met again.
But he broke rule number one on the first night anyway: never take someone home. He always found a way to go to his partner's place, or at least, found a place to do it, but never at his place. His home.
Until you.
Once you were done, he realized how young and innocent you looked. He could see the struggle on your face, as to whether you should leave or stay. He felt bad about himself and told you to stay. You warmly smiled and faxed yourself under the covers, your warm form curled up against him.
In the morning, he woke up to the smell of coffee and French toast. As you had breakfast together, you told him a bit about yourself and Joel found himself to be interested.
You left your phone number and two weekends later - he spends every two weekends with his daughter - Joel invited you for a drink. Which turned into a few ones. Which turned into taking you home again.
That was over a year ago. Now, you’re moving in with him.
He didn’t expect for it to happen. It’s just that when you mentioned wanting to move out from your crappy apartment, he simply told you to come live with him and Sarah. His teenage daughter is very fond of you, and Joel is deeply in love with you. There’s no reason this could go wrong, is there?
But somehow, it caused your first fight.
It was hard to fit two homes into one, and Joel wasn’t compromising at all. He didn’t want to get rid of anything.
“You have to meet halfway, Jo.” You told him, clearly annoyed.
“I am. I just don’t want to get rid of my couch. What’s wrong with that?”
“Well, for starters, mine is fairly new, bigger and way more comfortable. But it’s not just about the couch. It feels like you don’t want me to move in after all,” you said with such sadness in your voice, Joel felt horrible.
“I asked, didn't I? He answered, defensively.
“Probably because you felt bad about my struggle to find a new place. Just like you felt bad after our first night together.”
“…What?”
“I’m not stupid, Joel. I know you didn’t want me to stay at first.”
“But you did.”
“Well, yeah. Because it was my first time hooking up with someone I just met. And—“ you took a deep breath. “I really don’t want to compliment you right now, but the sex was—mind blowing.”
You obviously were still pretty mad but Joel couldn’t help but smirk in his beard. Sex with you is indeed pretty mind blowing. There’s love, trust, passion, and you’re open-minded concerning his kinks. He never witnessed that before. Actually, he discovered new kinks with you, pretty much like if you were his very own kink.
“Take that smirk off your face. That’s unfair.” You breathed out.
Joel closed the distance between your bodies, and gently kissed your forehead. “Letting you stay that night was the best decision I’ve made in a very long time,” he kissed your nose. “I’ll get rid of the couch.” Then he kissed your lips and moved to your neck. “Let’s ruin it before.”
You chuckled and you did ruin his old couch.
A few weeks later, you were all moved in. Joel was exhausted, he fell asleep on your - extremely - comfortable couch. You covered him with a blanket and took care of the last details before cooking dinner.
Your parents had been owners of a restaurant for the past thirty years, your father being the chef and your mother doing pretty much the rest. You spent most of your time in the establishment as a child, and your father happily shared his know-how with you.
In the past year, Joel had barely spent time in the kitchen, as it became your space. Not that he minded.
He does mind the weight he’d been gaining though.
He woke up to the smell of one of your dishes, two hours after falling asleep. He could hear you doing your thing in the kitchen. He smiled, stretched himself and when his mind seemed awake enough, he joined you.
You felt his strong arms wrapping your middle, and took advantage of your messy bun to plant wet and sloppy kisses in your exposed neck. You felt shivers all the way through your body. “Hi handsome. Sleep well on the couch?”
“Bite me.” He growled against your skin and you chuckled.
“Did that last night.” You said, referring to the bite mark you left right on top of his shoulder. He had made you cum so hard, you didn’t control yourself.
“I love when you mark me.” He whispered in your ear, nipping your ear lobe.
“Good, I’m taking you for a scarification tomorrow. My name, right above your penis.”
“Hmm,” Joel was still planting kisses anywhere he could and you could feel his growing erection against your ass. It was getting really difficult to focus on the marinade in front of you. “I can meet you halfway and agree to get a tattoo.” You laughed but somehow imagined it. It would ruin any relationship for him if you two ever break up. “Only if you do the same, obviously.” He added.
“You would like that, wouldn’t you?”
He hummed in answer and you felt his hand playing with the waistband of your sweatpants. But you slapped his hand away before he could slide it in. “Put your hands to other use for now. Cut the onions for me,” you playfully rubbed your ass against his crotch but only to push him away.
Joel let go of you and looked around to find the onions. “Wow. I like punishment but only if I know what I did wrong.”
You laughed before throwing two onions at him, which he almost missed. As he began to peel them off, you gently grabbed the knife from his hands and squeezed a lemon on the blade. Joel looked at you, lovingly. “There. You won’t cry.” You said, handing him the knife.
“Huh, we’ve been dating for a year and you’re only telling this trick, now? I thought you loved me.” He used his best complaining voice, and he felt your hand slamming against his ass.
“What will we talk about in ten years if I tell you everything now?” You casually asked and it caught Joel off guard. He stayed silent while cutting the onions in small squares and you didn’t push it. You focused on your marinade and checked on the steamed vegetables.
“Are you picturing us still together in ten years?” He finally asked once he was done. He gave you the bowl with the onions in it.
“Well—yeah. Don’t you?” You took the bowl from his hand, preparing the pan in order to cook them.
Joel sighed. It had been a struggle since you two started to date. Your relationship had been so perfect, you had been an amazing partner, it almost feels surreal to me. “I guess my marriage broke a part of me.” He paused, staring at you cooking. “It’s like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.”
As you ditched the onions in a hot pan, a soft smile appeared across your face. “That will happen when your alien friends will come to pick you up, in order to bring you back to your home planet.”
Joel couldn’t help but laugh. He couldn’t believe you were real. He stared for a moment. You are so beautiful, young, funny and smart, with the biggest heart. How did he got so lucky?
He jumped on the part of the kitchen plan you weren’t using. “Or when I got so fat from your cooking, you’re not attracted to me anymore.” He finally said and you stopped everything you were doing.
“…what?”
“I gained a few pounds lately.” He confessed, avoiding your eyes this time.
“Yeah so?”
“Oh so you’re agreeing? Not even something like ‘honey that’s crazy, you haven’t changed a bit.’?”
"I'm sorry. Let me do this again.” You took a step back and got into character. “Joel! Are you crazy? You didn’t gain any pounds. Are those masculine magazines making you feel bad, again?”
“Wow. Don’t quit your day job to become an actress.”
You playfully punched his shoulder and he let out an “ouch!”. “But seriously love,” it was your loving and smoothing tone again. “Do you really feel bad about this?”
“Kinda. I’m already older than you, I can’t have that too.”
“Baby,” you settled between his legs and tiptoed to kiss him softly. “You’re perfect to me. I don’t care about your age, your weight, your height, the size of your—okay that, I do care but still.”
Never a woman made him laugh like you manage to. No matter the subject, the time of the day, his mood or your mood, you’re always able to bring a smile to his face. He’s so in love with you. “Do you get my point or do I have to take you upstairs to show it to you?” You stroked his beard and Joel leaned into your touch, humming in content.
“I won’t mind the show. But I’d rather have you showing me—here.”
“I better stop cooking and focus on my other hobby then.” You turned off everything and invited him to get down. “My favorite actually.” You whispered, before kissing him gently.
“Please do.” He pleaded, sticking out his tongue in order to meet yours.
As you kissed, you brought him against the wall of the kitchen. He moaned at your sudden dominance, and you felt his semi hard cock against your belly. Joel tried to travel under your tank top with his hands but you prevented him access. You quickly worked taking his tee-shirt off, throwing it on the floor. Your lips immediately crashed against his hairy chest, while your hands were softly caressing it. “I love you, Joel.” you whispered against his skin. “I love every part of you that you don’t.”
It was overwhelming. Never in his life has Joel felt this loved, this attractive. It was such a mix of feelings, he could have cried on the spot as well as fucked you senseless. But he only stood there, panting hard as you were taking his sweatpants and briefs off. He stepped out and you threw it away, next to his shirt. He was dying to undress you, to feel your smooth skin against his, but he knew better.
You kneeled in front of you, taking his hard member in your hand. You looked up to him with your big and loving E/C eyes. “You’re everything I’ve ever dreamt of,” you said. “Call me crazy but I’d follow you to your damn home planet.” you confess, referring to what you said a moment ago.
Joel intensely stared at your mouth when you gave him a first lick. This view was so damn perfect.
You teasingly played with your tongue against his cock before taking him in your mouth. Joel moaned, deeply and you sucked him for a moment, not taking all of his length yet. Your jaw needed to relax first. No matter the amount of time you’ve seen his cock, you’re always amazed about how thick and long he is.
Joel’s hand grabbed your hair bun into his fists, guiding you. When you were ready, you took all of him inside your mouth, your nose buried in his pubic hair. “Fuck, baby!” he growled as his cock hit the back of your throat. “God I love your mouth so much.”
You kept going for a moment until you felt his urge growing. Joel was basically facefucking you, thrusting his cock deep inside your mouth. But you weren’t done with him yet, so when only a trail of saliva was connecting you to his length, you took advantage and got back on your feet.
You passionately kissed him, allowing him to taste himself. “Sit on the chair.” You ordered him and Joel obeyed.
You striped in front of him as he was lazily stroking his painfully hard cock. “You’re fucking gorgeous, Y/N.” he said before you straddle his lap.
“So are you, Joel.” He almost didn’t catch that - maybe because a part of him didn’t want to - as you guided his cock into your wet cunt. He was stretching you open, it almost hurt but you kept going until he was fully inside you.
“So fucking tight.” he growled against your neck.
You settled for a slow pace at first. Joel’s face was buried in your chest, assaulting your rounded breasts. One of his hands was in the small of your back, following your hips movements. “You feel so good inside me.” you moaned, your hands buried in his hair. He was so deep inside you, you two almost could hear every time he reached your end. “I’ll never be able to be with anyone else but you.”
His urge was coming back and yours was building up. You quickened the pace, and Joel furiously rubbed your clit with his hand. “Yes Joel, right there!” he looked up at you and crashed his lips on yours. You could feel his fingers digging on your hip, while yours did the same on his scalp.
“I’m gonna cum.” he warned you, thrusting as fast as he could.
“Me, too. Don’t stop,”
“Never.”
It was a closed call but you came practically at the same time, both crying each other’s name.
You stayed in the same position as you and Joel came down from your high. You held him close against you, feeling his cock softening inside you. You were both panting. “Every part of me, huh?” he said.
“Every single one.”

The arrogant, ruthless Supervillain, who was always so vicious and condescending, defeated, broken, and too delirious to do anything but beg when the hero finds them... that is my fave trope.
Same, mine as well.
I didn't think this was an ask to write, so if it isn't, I'm sorry, but I had a really good idea for this.

Hero sat Supervillain on a seat and buckled him in, mindful of where his injuries were in relation to the belt. He groaned in pain and protest, throwing his head backwards in a hoarse sob.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Hero said quickly, momentarily cupping his cheek before rushing to the controls of her rocket. It was a intricate thing with too many different buttons, levers, and colors to make sense of. Still, she knew exactly what to do. She rammed the aircraft into flying mode and switched on autopilot, taking a split second to navigate a safe path through the infinite cosmos.
She returned to Supervillain's side and looked into his pale, unfocused face. He breathed heavily between wails and sniffles, not making eye contact with his savior. His fingers naturally curled and clenched as his sides as mucus gurgled in his chest. Tears sprang from his eyes.
Hero had found him, in a space ship, beaten brutally and deliriously crying in his agony. After breaking him out of the small chest that his captors called "his room", he had started to beg incoherently. He made no sense whatsoever, babbling on and on about random things. Then he would scream suddenly and sporadically, clawing aimlessly at Hero's chest.
He was awake, but not there and was vividly still trapped in whatever fantasy he imagined himself into.
So Hero carried him out, kicking and knocking out many of Vigilante's underlings- they were weak and not very well trained, in their defenses.
When she finally set him in that seat and buckled his writhing form in, she was somewhat exhausted and sweaty herself. But she knew that she had to drive her rocket away as fast as possible and take care of the bleeding man who was currently slumped in a seat at the verge of falling unconscious.
Hero ran a hand through his grimey, blood coated hair with a sigh and gently unbuckled him. She pulled off his shirt, watching as his arms limply fell to the sides as if he lost all muscle mass.
Immediately, he doubled over, body curling to a seemingly natural position for him. It made Hero's heart wrench- he had been in that box, a box hardly the size of a dog crate, for so long that even unconscious his body was conditioned to react.
Hero straightened him back up to examine the injuries. His ribs were heavily bruised and jutting out in various areas. His torso was covered in welts and old cuts, many infected, as if he was whipped. A lot. Those would need antibiotic cream, probably some draining-
The ship jerked suddenly to the side, throwing her off balanced. Instinctively, she strapped the buckles over the supervillain's chest, and ran to the controls. Every alarm was blaring red and screeching. She glanced over at the computerized pixels that made up a small replica of her ship- the rear side seemed to be hit by something. Nothing was critically damaged, but it still meant that something hit her.
A flaming, green ball of something whizzed past the corner of Hero's eyes. She stiffened, heart beginning to race. They were being bombed.
Hero took the rocket out of autopilot and turned on the cameras. Looking at the small, live recording in front of her, she saw Vigilante's ship chasing after her's. The sharp pointed nose and wide wings made it look daunting, but Hero knew that was all design.
It wasn't fast, though it had decent aim. All Hero had to do was get out of there as fast as possible.
Hero made a sharp turn, jostling Supervillain around. He groaned loudly, but Hero didn't have the time to comfort him.
Another bomb raced past her.
Hero started zig zagging, desperate to rid herself of the lethal balls of fire. They were incessant, one after the other after the other.
"Please don't hurt me!" Supervillain suddenly screamed. Hero glanced behind her to see him cowering in his seat, panting. However, in that split second of distraction, she was rocked sideways again.
Hero focused back on her mission and steered the rocket to the left. The bomb she evaded smacked right into a neaby asteroid, causing it to burst into peices.
"Please!" Supervillain hollered, thrashing against the seatbelt. His heavy breathing turned shallow, but Hero had bigger things to worry about.
Not only was she dodging flying fireballs, but know she had asteroid debris clocking in at one hundred miles per hour. She flew past them with professional precision.
"N-no," Supervillain whimpered, now smacking his head into the headrest of his seat. Hero risked a glance. His face was noticeably even paler, blanched to the point of white, as his fingers trembled. His dazed eyes darted around like a fly, buzzing here and there, taking in everything.
And everything was overwhelming him.
"Supervillain," Hero called, watching her camera. "You need to calm down buddy, okay? No one is going to hurt you anymore." If you would shut up and let me concentrate...
"N-not not... t'day pleas," Supervillain slurred, head dangling limply in fatigue and exhaustion before he picked it back up again, crying loudly.
"Shh," Hero tried to shush him, but failed. He wiggled like a worm as his voice locked itself in an endless current of screams.
A bomb flew by overhead, missing Hero by only five feet. She groaned and focused back on the black abyss she was traveling through, illuminated by the celestial bodies floating about. Supervillain's episode woule have to be ignored, for the sake of both of them.
The ship was suddenly deathly quiet.
However Hero did not realize that the cause of the supervillain's sudden silence was because he was hyperventilating, choking on his own breathing. She was zoned into the camera, watching the coming fireballs intently.
Supervillain watched her, trying his hardest to calm his rapid breathing and heartbeat. The world was growing out of focus... he couldn't breathe... couldn't breathe.
He felt like he was going to throw up. Oh gosh he was. The world tossed and turned in front of his eyes, pivoting forward and sideways.
"H-hero," he moaned, nausea thick in his voice.
She didn't reply.
Supervillain vomitted all over the floor, finally able to draw in a shaky breath. He gasped for air, to satisfy his burning lungs that didn't possess it for so long.
Only, he started sobbing again. It wasn't intentional, of course it wasn't. Crying was for the weak and he wasn't weak. Or was he? Because he was crying now? He was weak wasn't he?
These thoughts sent Supervillain back into another panic attack. His chest seized threateningly, but he did not thrash like before. He just allowed the cloud to wash over him.
When Hero finally escapes the bombardment, she idled the engine down in a bade to save fuel and ran over to her new ward. He was half-asleep, eyes halfway closed as his body breathed for him- air rushing into his body in large gulps.
"Supervillain? Supervillain? Hey, hey." Hero tapped Supervillain's cheek. "Wake up for me, will you? You're hyperventilating. Breathe, bud, breathe."
Supervillain slowly took a breath in before falling against his savior's shoulder, sniffling.

stray kids reaction: s/o falls asleep on another member
a/n: this concept is so cute! also first reaction without,,, you know who :(
CHAN:
As soon as Chan walked into the room his gaze landed on your sleeping figure, your head on Hyunjin’s lap and body sprawled on the sofa. Although Chan didn’t like the view, he knew you were tired.
“She was not feeling well!” Hyunjin immediately explained but Chan shushed him instead as his voice was too loud and you might be awoken from your slumber.
Chan carefully lifted your head and Hyunjin slipped out while Chan replaced his position. Running his fingers through your hair he whispered, “I’m here now, princess.”
Tumblr media
MINHO:
The car ride to the concert venue took longer than expected, you were already exhausted due to you being up all night the day before the concert. You were seated in the middle of Minho and Seungmin, though your head kept falling onto Seungmin as slumber slowly took over you. Seungmin didn’t dare to move an inch as he didn’t want to bother your sleep. Minho let out s small laugh, albeit being hurt that you didn’t use his shoulder instead. Carefully, he grabbed your body to turn it to him instead. Your head placed on his chest as you snuggled closely to the body you’ve grown familiar with.
Tumblr media
CHANGBIN:
You were all huddled up together as you had your usual movie night, you were situated between Changbin and Felix. Halfway through the movie you started feeling drowsy, letting sleep take over you. Your body slowly fell on top of Felix, his body tensing from the physical contact. Still he decided to give you your peace. It didn’t take long for Changbin to realize that you were no longer seated, instead your body was on Felix’s lap. He scoffed at the sight of you choosing his band member over him.
“I’ll take her.” Changbin said, making Felix drop his hands off of your hair. Changbin carried your sleeping frame out of the living room and into his bedroom where you could properly be held.
Tumblr media
HYUNJIN:
Hyunjin was assigned to cook dinner for tonight. Your eyes were drooping not long before he walked into the kitchen, the nearest member to you which was Jeongin, offered to be your cuddle buddy which you gladly accepted, you head against his chest as you feel into deep slumber. Hyunjin walked back into the living room to announce that dinner was ready but the second his gaze landed on the two of you, he frowned.
“I am hurt.” Hyunjin clutched to his chest, although it was jokingly there was a pang of real hurt.
“I’m sorry, hyung, she was really sleepy.” Jeongin explained, about to wake you up but Hyunjin stopped him. Instead Hyunjin lifted you from Jeongin’s grasp, the second you were lifted you immediately snuggled up to him which made Hyunjin happy.
“I got you, my love.” Hyunjin whispered, carrying you up to his bedroom.
Tumblr media
JISUNG:
Chan froze as soon as he realized that you dozed off in his lap. Looking around for Jisung, he was nowhere to be found. Not wanting to disturb your slumber, Chan let you have your nap. Jisung walked into room soon after, seeing your state he decided to mess with Chan.
“Hyung! What’re you doing with my girl?” Jisung pouted, acting hurt. Chan panicked and pushed you off his lap, causing you to fall on the ground with a loud thud. “Hyung!? What the fuck!”
Jisung rushed to your side to check if you were fine. You lifted your head to glare at Chan. “You couldn’t wake me up like a normal person?!”
Tumblr media
FELIX:
You were waiting for Felix to finish practicing his part of the new choreography, seated at the sofa your eyelids started closing. Minho noticed your sleepy state and decided to accompany you. He thought of starting a conversation with you but instead your head dropped on his shoulder, eyes fully shut this time. Minho laughed but let you have your sleep anyways. Felix finally finished his routine, spotting you and Minho together. He walked towards the both of you.
Minho raised his hands in defense, “I swear, I didn’t do anything.” Felix just laughed at him and kneeled in front of you.
“Y/N, baby girl, wake up we can go home now.”
Your eyes barely fluttered open, “Carry me.” You said, reaching your arms out to him. Felix chuckled at your state but carried you nonetheless.
Tumblr media
SEUNGMIN:
You were dozing off the second the movie started, your head slowly dropping on Changbin’s shoulder instead of your boyfriend’s. Seungmin pouted when he saw you getting comfortable on Changbin, your arms on his waist and everything. Changbin on the other hand didn’t know what to do as his entire body froze the second you touched him. Seungmin tried moving your body off of Changbin but it was no use since you kept coming back to him which hurt him but he decided to let it go. Occasionally glancing at the two of you to make sure you didn’t get any closer than you already were.
“Can’t believe my own girlfriend doesn’t want to cuddle with me instead.” Seungmin huffed.
Tumblr media
JEONGIN:
Jeongin walked into the room with bags of food that you requested since you were on your period. His gaze landed on your sleeping figure who was cuddled up with Jisung. You two were fast asleep with your head on Jisung’s chest and his arms around you. Though the sight hurt Jeongin, he understood that you were not feeling the best. Jeongin thought of ways to wake you up and he decided with loudly plopping the bags of grocery he had. This made the two of you jump away from one another.
“Sorry for disturbing you baby, but I would rather you cuddle with me instead.” Sitting down on the sofa and you immediately wrapped your arms around him.

Enemy Territory 🌻chapter 4🌻
You hate that you find yourself dragging your feet slowly—yet quietly— to Wooyoung’s door. Hoping that the noises you hear from behind it aren’t those of pleasure.
There’s an exchange of them chatting, audible enough to hear but not enough to make out the words. As if snooping like this wasn’t enough, you press the shell of your ear against the door. Using the frame of it to steady your body from making any unnecessary movements or noise.
A rustle. Then several more. You think you hear the sheets move.
They’ve stopped talking.
More silence, then a loud thump onto the floor.
Your heart races out of your chest and you have a hard time picturing what could possibly be going on inside Wooyoung’s room.
Footsteps hurry to the door and before you could get more than halfway down the hall, Wooyoung’s body peeks out from behind his door.
“Snooping on me now?” He scoffs with that annoyingly charming sneer. “I thought we were supposed to stay out of each other’s business? Now look who’s breaking their own rules.”
You shut your eyes tightly while your back faces your ex.
Fuck.
A breath quickly fills your lungs as you turn around in efforts to compose your expressions. You’re somehow confused as to why he was suddenly wearing a shirt.
“I— I was just about to knock and ask you what type of meat you wanted to grill, you idiot.” Your mouth moves faster than your thoughts and you’re so glad that your brain was quick enough to pull something straight out of your ass. “I didn’t want to…  interrupt.”
Wooyoung holds the door open slightly for you to catch a small glimpse of the girl politely seated at the edge of his bed. Blinking curiously at you with a content smile on her face, although her tears still stain her cheeks. “It’s not even noon yet y/n, I’m smarter than that to start having rough sex knowing that you’re in the apartment.”
This thought somehow makes your stomach turn and not in a pleasant way. You didn't want to imagine Wooyoung like this with someone else. Yet, an image of him bare and in his sexual glory flashes across your mind and for a second you forget that you aren’t single. You forget that you have a neglectful boyfriend who likes to have sex with you once a week then proceeds to avoid you until the next weekend arrives.
Does Wooyoung have sex often when I’m not around? Did he have to use the word ‘rough’? Do they have rough sex together?—
Why was the thought of Wooyoung having sex with someone else more distressing to you than the entire problem of your boyfriend literally using you as a weekend booty call?
Not a single soul should know why, because the reality of it all is that: One, Wooyoung is single. And two, you are not.
So you had no right to be bothered about it.
Right?
“Uh. Right,” You subconsciously mess with the tips of your fingers to think of what to say next since you didn’t expect that his comment would throw your mind into a loop. “Just text me when you’ve, um, decided what you want. I’ll head to the store now since you’re busy… so you’ve got 20 minutes to make a choice.”
“No need to wait 20 minutes for me to text you, y/n,” Wooyoung slowly pulls his lips into a gentle smile. A smile that sets off a million bursts of fireworks through your chest. “You already know what kind of meat I like to grill.”
Instantly you blink away the feeling—or at least try to ignore it. “People change. Just wanted to ask in case you had a change in taste.”
Wooyoung presses his lips together before nodding his head slowly. Clearly catching your composure and deciding not to point it out due to the guest on his bed. “Uh, nope. My tastes are constant, y/n.”
The worst part of it all is, your conversation was being monitored by a ditsy flower, just waiting for Wooyoung to come back and take care of her… You hated it. Everything about this set up.
Now, heading out of the apartment to get groceries seemed like a much better idea to you than twiddling your thumbs to wait for Wooyoung’s pretty guest to leave.
“I’ll head out then.”
Upon grabbing your purse and your keys, you curse at yourself mentally for getting caught snooping. Even scolding your heart for causing your mind to lose control of your emotions.
************
It had only been half an hour since you left to get ingredients for the meal with Wooyoung, yet a familiar vehicle pulls into the apartment complex parking lot.
A few flights up and your boyfriend is back at the front of your door. Sure to himself that your car has left and that you’d be gone for a while.
San punches in the code of your apartment door. When it opens, a girl stands on the other side peering up at San with a shocked expression.
“Oh hey, It’s y/n boyfriend.” She smiles before turning to Wooyoung who, at the moment, keeps a straight face.
They had finally completed their 30 minute rant session, where she comes to him for help with her loneliness. Which was a topic to talk about for another time since Wooyoung felt like it wasn’t even his place to do it for her— also, considering he’s rejected her multiple times to be something more than her emotional support friend.
He never felt like a new relationship was something he needed.
As far as relationships are concerned, Wooyoung has enough on his plate to deal with considering the ugly truth he’s recently discovered. And of course, his unsettled feelings for his gorgeous ex.
“What are you doing back?” Wooyoung asks San, holding the door open for his emotionally unstable friend.
“Uh, coming to see my girlfriend??” San exchanges an offended glare at Wooyoung.
“Oh, I thought you already had your fill for her last night… What happened? Fell asleep before you could finish the job?” Wooyoung’s words are calm yet sharp like knives. Attacking San with precision as he tilts his head in accusation. “She’s out getting groceries.” He adds.
“You know,” San narrows his eyes, striding to level his face right in front of Wooyoung’s. “You have a lot of nerve thinking you can have any say in our relationship considering you’re her fucking ex.”
“We only broke up because I decided to switch colleges last minute without telling her.” Wooyoung doesn’t back down. He’s aware that his choice was the reason why the two of you broke up and that he should’ve told you sooner he wasn’t going to go to the same college as you guys had planned. “At least I never snuck out of bed after having sex with her.”
San scoffs at the gall. “Don’t act like you fucking know me.”
“I don’t.” Wooyoung shifts his weight and sticks his hands into his jean pockets. “But I know every part of y/n way better than you do. Every. Single. Part.”
San’s hand clenches into a fist and right before he draws it back to swing at Wooyoung. The girl awkwardly standing beside them in the threshold of the door raises her voice. “Hey, as much as I like the drama, I kind of have work so if I can just pass through…”
San doesn’t steer his eyes away from Wooyoung as he takes a step to the side for the girl to get around his body. Too peeved to realize that he was blocking the door.
“…I’ll see you later, Wooyoung. Thanks for helping me out again.” She waves before disappearing into the hall.
San huffs through his nose. It’s upsetting to him that Wooyoung doesn’t even seem the least bit affected by the situation. “Why aren’t you packing your shit? Isn’t this your last week?”
As if his train of thought derails, without even waiting for an answer to his own questions, San pushes past your ex and heads straight into your room.
Looking for what he left so recklessly before sneaking away that morning.
Wooyoung, with his hands still in his pockets, calmly follows San. Watching your boyfriend’s frantic search for whatever he’s misplaced.
Since Wooyoung respects your privacy, he stops right at the entrance of your room. “Did you wait for y/n to leave the apartment?”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” San tosses a pillow off your bed. Not sparing a single glance at your ex.
“I don’t know,” Wooyoung leans against the door. “I mean, if I had something to hide, I guess I’d want to wait until she was gone too.”
San stops completely. His heart drops to his stomach when he turns to your ex standing in front of your room. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
Wooyoung shrugs with a playful smirk etching onto his face as one of his hands pulls something out of his right pocket. “You tell me.”
There. What San was looking for.
His phone.
“Where did you find that!?” San yells as he practically dives for it.
“Ah, ah, ah.” Wooyoung shoves it back into his pocket. Placing his hand in front of himself defensively. “Question is, why are you so upset?”
San swallows and processes quickly before clearing his throat. He couldn’t understand why his palms were so sweaty. “It’s—Because it’s fucking mine! Hand it over!”
Wooyoung shakes his head, angling his body away from your boyfriend. “It can’t be yours.”
“Are you fucking mad?” San yells again. Smacking Wooyoung’s arm away from the position he’s guarding his pocket. “Of course, it is. It’s my phone!”
“No, no, no.” Wooyoung’s stupid, playful smile begins to boil hate into San’s veins. “This can’t be your phone.”
“I’ll drop kick that fucking smile off your face, you son of a bitch, give me back my phone!”
“Dude,” Wooyoung chuckles, loving how riled up your shitty boyfriend is getting. “I swear this phone has got to be someone else’s… because when I saw it on the couch, ringing at 4 am, someone named Eunji was calling to ask if her ‘daddy’ was still going to—and I’ll quote her on this, “Rearrange my guts like you always do on Saturday nights.” And you're telling me you’re certain that this is your phone?”
The reality settles into the air and San realizes that he’s been caught cheating on you… by your ex.
This is when Wooyoung’s twisted smirk turns into an angry scowl. He’s disgusted that you found a man so indisputably vile and unloyal.
“You really think you’ll get away with this? Lying to y/n like this and fucking her once every week just to make up for how shitty a person you are?”
San’s gaze falters to the floor and he snatches his phone from the unguarded pocket of Wooyoung’s jeans. “What are you gonna do, huh? Tattle-tail on me?” He shoves it into his back pocket, scoffing. “She’ll never believe you. She hates you.”
“Even if she does,” Wooyoung turns on his heels and enters into his room across the hall. “She’ll wish you were dead after figuring out that you leave her in the mornings just to be in some other woman’s bed the very same night.”
San follows Wooyoung a few steps into the hall. “You wouldn’t dare tell her.” He spits.
An exasperated sigh paired with the front door swinging open, startles the two men away from glaring at one another.
*********
After 30 minutes of shopping, you head home.
The entire time in the parking lot, you were gathering the courage to talk yourself into confidently walking back into your house.
So what if he was having sex? You have sex all the time with San while Wooyoung stays in the room across the hall from yours.
How is coming back home knowing that he’s having fun with a woman be any different?
Equality at its best example for it. You remind yourself as you exit the elevator.
To your dismay, You were unpleasantly greeted by a very voluptuous woman with intruding questions as to why you were going to enter into her boyfriend’s home.
You push past the nuisance at your front door. Sighing as you lazily drop the groceries onto the floor.
You can only assume that this other girl— an entirely different girl compared to the one from this morning—is Wooyoung's little problem.
This boy must be cheating… What a waste. “Taste’s are constant” my ass.
You pray that Wooyoung’s ditsy girl toy from earlier this morning has left.  Though you liked witnessing drama, you didn’t want to see two girls fight over your ex. “Wooyoung? I think you have a guest.” You call out as you take off your shoes.
To your surprise, Your boyfriend is staring at you from the hallway— eyes wide and stunned.
Wooyoung steps out of his room to stand in the hall next to San. A flat smile sets on his features as he stares at you and eunji. “I won’t need to…” He seems to be talking to San when he speaks. “Next time, set a better password on your phone. You never know who’ll scroll through your messages and send people your girlfriend’s address.”
This confuses you. Immensely. More so, when San’s face drains of all color.
“Baby! Who the hell is this girl?” Miss voluptuous checks your shoulder as she rushes past you. Headed towards Wooyoung with her arms stretched out.
What rattles your world from it’s axis isn’t that Wooyoung doesn’t hold her, it’s that the girl doesn’t even look at him. She doesn’t even acknowledge that Wooyoung’s standing there.
Instead,
She’s all over your boyfriend. Calling him “baby’ and glaring at you as if you were nothing more than a disgusting insect.
No, no… I must be dreaming.
“Sannie, who the hell is this girl and why is she coming into your apartment?”

Amren and Varian. (Most underrated couple in Prythian):
(Side note: i still hate amren but her relationship with Varian makes me soft asf. If they aren't mates or at least get married or something istg me and SJM will be: 🤼‍♀️)
Quotes of them in chronological order:
“His attention was fixed wholly on Amren—as if he knew where the biggest threat lay. And would be happy to kill her, if given the chance.”
“I wondered what—who—she’d eat while here. Varian seemed like a good guess.”
“I was halfway down the wood steps when I spotted Amren and Varian—both leaning against adjacent pillars, both drinking wine, both ignoring each other.”
“I spied Amren perched on the ledge of a turret balcony, cleaning her nails. Varian leaned against the threshold of another tower balcony within jumping range—and I wondered if he was debating if he could clear the distance fast enough to push her off. A cat playing with a dog—that’s what it was. Amren was practically washing herself, silently daring him to get close enough to sniff. I doubted Varian would like her claws. Unless that was why he hounded her day and night.”
“Varian was studying Amren as if he was trying to solve a riddle she’d posed to him, and she paid him no heed whatsoever”
“Sprawled across the top like a snake lay a familiar necklace of diamonds and rubies. I’d seen it before—in Tarquin’s trove. “How … what?” Amren smiled to herself. “Varian sent it to me. To soften Tarquin’s declaration of our blood feud.” I’d thought the rubies would need to be worn by a mighty female—and could think of no mightier female than the one before me. “Did you and Varian … ?” “Tempting, but no. The prick can’t decide if he hates or wants me.” “Why can’t it be both?” A low chuckle. “Indeed.”
“Varian’s necklace was now beside her bed. As if she fell asleep looking at it.”
“I’d asked what, exactly, Nesta had said to him to get under his skin so easily. But Cassian had only snarled and told me to mind my own business, and that my family was full of bossy, know-it-all females. Part of me had wondered if Cassian and Varian might need to compare notes.”
“Amren’s eyes glittered like fresh silver. “It was a warning. From Varian. To prepare our own defenses.” Utter silence. “Prince Varian sent you a warning?” Cassian asked a bit quietly. Amren glared at him. “It is a thing that friends do.”
“Varian had not told him—of the message he’d snuck to Amren. Not a call for aid, but a frantic warning for Amren to save herself.”
“The royal family remains alive and well. Tarquin’s armada suffered losses, but Cresseida and Varian were unscathed.” Something tight in Amren’s face seemed to relax at the words—his careful, diplomatic words."
“The necklace of rubies that she wore, hidden, beneath her shirt. Gifted from Varian.”
“Varian glanced among us for someone who was not there”
“I rescind the blood rubies. Let there be no debts between us.” “Don’t expect Amren to return hers,” Cassian muttered. “She’s grown attached to it.” I could have sworn a smile tugged on Varian’s mouth.”
“Tell her …” The Prince of Adriata shook his head. “I’ll tell her myself the next time I see her.” It seemed like more of a promise—that Varian would see Amren again, war or no.”
“Varian. He didn’t so much as look at his High Lord, his focus going right to where Amren sat at the head of the table. As if he’d sensed she was here—or someone had reported. And he’d come running. Amren’s eyes flicked up from the Book as Varian halted. A coy smile curved her red lips. There was still blood and dirt splattered on Varian’s brown skin, coating his silver armor and close-cropped white hair. He didn’t seem to notice or care as he strode for Amren. And none of us dared to speak as Varian dropped to his knees before Amren’s chair, took her shocked face in his broad hands, and kissed her soundly.”
“Amren and Varian didn’t even bother to join us. No, she’d just wrapped her legs around his waist, right there in front of us, and he’d stood, lifting her in one swift movement. I wasn’t entirely sure how Varian managed to walk them out of the tent while still kissing her, Amren’s hands dragging through his hair, letting out noises that were unnervingly like purring as they vanished into the camp.”
“Amren’s small figure darted around a tent, wearing what looked to be Varian’s shirt.”
“Varian appeared from the rocky path, gasping for breath, splattered with blood. Amren smirked. “Like a hound on a scent.”
“She looked to Varian, a wry smile on her red mouth. “I watched them most—the humans who loved. I never understood it—how it happened. Why it happened.” She paused a step away from the Cauldron. “I think I might have learned with you, though. Perhaps that was a last gift, too." Varian’s face twisted with anguish. But he made no further move to stop her."
“Tears slid down Varian’s blood-flecked skin as we watched that spot on the sea where Amren had vanished.”
“And as Amren opened her eyes, as Varian let out a choked sound of relief and joy—”
“Amren and the Prince of Adriata hadn’t officially declared anything, but I sometimes dreamed of it, too—that moment when she had shed her immortal skin and Varian had fallen to his knees.”
“Fifteen thousand years, she had been stuck in this world. And had not loved, not in the way that could alter history, alter fate, until that silver-haired Prince of Adriata.”
“Amren strode for the nearest pile of presents. “I’ll go first.” “Of course she will,” Varian muttered, earning a grin from me and Mor.”
“But her delight turned quieter, more tender when she opened Varian’s gift. She didn’t show any of us what was inside the small box before offering him a small, private smile.”
“Varian’s fingers tangled in the blunt ends of her hair, as if to reassure himself that she was here, she’d remained with him.”
“Amren didn’t so much as blink in remorse, but Varian frowned at her. “What?” she snapped. The Prince of Adriata gave her an exasperated smile. “Haven’t we talked about this? About … being nice?”
“But the Summer Court prince watched Amren, his face tight with concern. He’d stay, go down defending her.”
TELL ME THEY ARE NOT THE MOST UNDERRATED COUPLE. IT WAS AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS SUB PLOT!! HOW CAN YOU JOT LOVE THEM 😭
