Product Research- Candles
I would say this is the least excitable product I've researched based of suggestions from the group. There is two routes we could go down when searching for suppliers. That being a Jar based candles or a Shaped Wax candle. personally I would prefer the shaped candles but this has been harder to source. Especially a business who would create our own personal moulds and waxes. Either route could be finalised nicely with the right design processes as the other product ideas.
Thomas Street Candles (Jars)
These are the nicest jars I've came across when looking for suppliers. The brown glass feels more elegant than a standard clear glass. Especially with a nice label inspired by the sites I've stated before.(Appear Offline and Another Graphic)
With candles, I don't think they mix with our project guidelines as they need to be carefully thought out and require much more attention to detail than the rest of the products we've thought of. I wouldn't believe it would be as genuine if we were to add these into our line of products as due to this being a fairly quick production, an audience member may not find a candle as authentic as the rest because you would tell we've sourced the candle from elsewhere. It could run the risk of limiting the rest of the products potential as candles aren't as rare and authentic as the rest of 502 ideas. Sticking a label onto something doesn't feel as creative as the rest of the line we have decided to sell. For example; tapestry and a screwdriver set.
