Dannymay Day 02 - A Flower’s Comfort

Alright. It is still May 2nd technically once again, but can I just say that this was not the plan at all what you’re about to read? It was supposed to be a big dramatic Sam realizing she still has the powers Undergrowth gave her, but, no. Instead it’s pure fluff of Sam and her mom.

Still trying to figure out how it all happened.

Ironically, miraculously, against all possible odds, it was Pamela Manson who discovered the problem first - her mom who never seemed to notice anything even the least bit outside of her social sphere. But no - oh no. The one time that Sam needed her mom to not notice something about her and she had noticed. It had to have been a curse placed on her from dealing with ghosts and death so much.

“Samantha… I noticed you haven’t been going into your greenhouse the last couple of days.” And of course, vicious, evil woman that she was, her mom had broached the topic over breakfast when she was socially obligated to at least pretend to care about things. “Usually I have to pry you out of there in the mornings!”

“I’ve just been busy is all.” It was a trite, old excuse, but it was a tried and true method for throwing off suspicion, in Sam’s opinion. “The plants can handle a few days without me.”

Her mother hummed the same noise of disbelief that Sam gave Danny when he said he had things under control. “I suppose so… Except, silly me, but I thought you might have mentioned getting a new plant for the greenhouse. One that needs constant care and upkeep for the first few weeks of growth?”

Sam, who had been tapping her fork against the air instead of the plate like she wanted, froze. When she looked up, her dad looked just as taken off guard and even her grandma was giving a squinty-eyed look over her glasses because her mom had not only listened to her talking about her plants, but she had remembered. It was officially a dangerous game that Sam was playing.

“I, uh… I mean- Yeah, I guess, but like I said, it can handle a few days without me there. Like I said, I’ve been busy a lot. School and everything, you know?” Sam hoped the words didn’t sound as fake as they tasted, but judging by her family’s looks, they really, really did.

Finally deciding that suspicion was better than cutting herself open and spilling out her fears for not the world, but for her family to hear, Sam pushed herself out of her chair. “Well, it was a great breakfast and all, but I should probably start heading out if I want to make it to school on time.”

Sam didn’t stick around to listen to any possible response that any of the three came up with, instead rushing upstairs to grab her backpack and then rushing right back down the stairs. She had a growing hope in her chest that she was about to make it before all that hope shattered into a million pieces.

“Sammy. Could I speak to you for a moment? Before you leave for school?” Pamela Manson, Sam’s archenemy that she would never defeat, blocked her way towards the front door. Maybe if she ran- “And I would appreciate it if you didn’t run. I would hate to break these heels, but I will if I have to.”

“Oh.” Sam blinked, mentally trying to regroup and recalibrate because that was- Well. That was definitely not an idle threat. Her mom meant business. “O… kay. What’d you want to talk about?” Alright. Sam had to remain strong and not give away any information that could be used against her.

Her mom was silent for a moment, simply staring at Sam as if studying her. It was a bit creepy before she finally broke the silence with words that made Sam’s heart almost stop in her chest. “Is this about that last ghost attack on the town?”

Throat clicking dryly as she tried to swallow, Sam hid the wince of pain and gave a rough clearing of her throat. She then looked down at her bag and started to fiddle with it, hoping it looked like she was simply looking for something. “I mean, Amity Park is Amity Park, right? Besides, I don’t really you know what you mean by this-”

“You’ve been eating less.” Shit. She had noticed even that? “You’ve always loved eating your greens and everything healthy, but now all I’ve been seeing you eat is that tofu. None of your fresh vegetables or fruit, none of your smoothies, anything!”

“Oh?” Alright. The key was to remain calm, not panic, and channel the exact opposite of Danny and Tucker when they were being questioned by those in authority. “Maybe I’m just finally growing out of my vegetarian phase.”

Instead of accepting the answer or doing one of her sad, dramatic little sighs, her mom snorted. As in she gave a snort of laughter. Like… what the hell? She hadn’t even known her mom knew what real laughter was. And then she rolled her eyes. “Sammy, for as much as you’re a vegetarian, once you sink your teeth into something you never let go. I know this isn’t you growing out of a phase.”

Biting back and swallowing some bitter words she could say to really make an impression, Sam tried to remember that she was attempting to be more responsible. “Since when would you know? You just ignore my ‘phases’ and pretend they aren’t happening!” Then again, no one was perfect.

“Just because I don’t celebrate them like you do doesn’t mean I ignore them.” Yeah, right. She should just try the other one because that was not going to work- “There’s not a morning that’s gone by that you haven’t gone out to your greenhouse since we had it set up for you two years ago. Not a single morning. And now you’re telling me it’s simply because you’re busy?”

“That’s because I am.” Stay strong. Sam had to stay strong and win her way through this one or her mom would never leave her alone ever again. “Look, I know you’re pretending to care and all, but I have to go to that ‘awful public school’ that you hate I attend. So, yeah, thanks for worrying or whatever, but I-”

“Undergrowth.” It was a word. It was just a word - it didn’t even have to be his name. It was a word, but it made Sam flinch, scrambling to hold her bag close and look over herself, half-expecting to see vines and leaves and flowers wrapped around her and almost embedded into her skin.

There was nothing but her usual black clothes and soft skin, though, not a hint of green to be seen. When she looked back up at her mom, she expected to see her smug or even victorious. She didn’t expect her mom to look so… upset. This time it was Sam to break the silence, uttering a weak, near voiceless, “How do you know that name?”

“I don’t… remember much,” her mom said softly, almost as if admitting to something herself. “But I remember flashes and glimpses. You… You were hurt.”

“What?” Sam startled, looking up at her mom properly before shaking her head. “No- No, I wasn’t hurt. I mean, things got weird, yeah, but I wasn’t hurt-”

“I didn’t mean physically, Sammy.” That had Sam shutting back up, immediately looking away. “That’s why you’ve gotten rid of all the plants in your room and why you haven’t gone back into your greenhouse… isn’t it?” Sam remained silent because, well… the answer was clear enough even if Sam didn’t say anything. Plus, a lie would only sound weak to both of them.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of silence, Sam heard her mom walking closer to her. As much as she wanted to tense up and flinch away and even run, Sam could only relax as hands settled on her shoulders and brought her into a light, soft hug.

For as many problems as the two had between them, Sam used to be a Mama’s Girl through and through. A long, long time ago she had felt only safety in her mother’s arms and for a moment, just a moment, it felt like that again.

“Do you know where the name Samantha comes from?” It was a question that Sam hadn’t been expecting and it startled her enough to finally look up into her mom’s face. She was smiling so softly. “When we decided on it I looked up all the meanings and everything I could, and you know what one book said? It said that Samantha came from the name Samuel but had been inspired by the Greek word anthos.”

Sam blinked, taken off guard because she hadn’t expected her mom to ever care about stuff like Greek words and name meanings. She was even more off guard because she knew what that word meant. “Flower.”

“That’s right,” she nodded, hands gently moving to cup Sam’s cheeks in a familiar motion that she hadn’t felt for years. “And when you were born and I was allowed to hold you all I could think was… What a beautiful flower.”

Sam felt her breath hitch, feeling overwhelmed in a way she couldn’t even begin to name or explain. She was half certain she was about to cry, and she was fully certain she wouldn’t even feel bad about it.

Her mom pulled her back into another hug, a hand gently running through the back of her hair. “You were hurt, weren’t you, Sammy?” Somehow, as if possessed, Sam found herself nodding. “I’m sorry, sweetie. I’m sorry you were hurt, but… don’t let being hurt take away something you loved so much.”

Sam was gently let go, half-aware of hands brushing away the tears that crawled down her cheeks. She couldn’t even feel embarrassed as she just… stood there. It was an out-of-body experience where she couldn’t even try to be afraid or upset or angry. She just… cried and looked at her mom. And it was nice.

Her mom leaned in to kiss her forehead, a soft, gentle touch that had Sam’s breath hitching again. “Take your time, Sammy. Do whatever you need to in order to feel better about what happened to you, but don’t let it change you for the worse. Don’t let it make you scared to be who you are - which is a beautiful young lady who likes the color black a little too much and raises the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen. Okay?”

Finally - finally - Sam managed to whisper a response. It was soft, and quiet, and cracked through the middle, but it was a start. “Okay.”

When Sam finally managed to leave her house to head out for school, she made sure to stop by her greenhouse, first.

Pairing: Jay Halstead x Reader, Hank Voight x Reader

brief summary: Hank Voight was the most ruthless man in Chicago. It’s practically a death wish to hurt anyone he loves. When a former inmate is released from jail, they go for his weak spot to seek revenge.

Author’s Note: Hey howdy ho! This is my 1st story ever so please show it some love if you liked it and also, don’t forget to tell me if you want a part 2 because I’m itching to write a 2nd chapter but only if this chapter does well.

Jay Halstead had not only been your partner but your childhood best friend. You consider yourself lucky that the universe would keep the both of you close for so long. Not only did you get to work with your best friend but your boss, the notorious Hank Voight, was your godfather. Hank became your godfather before you were born.

*Flashback*

Your father was his partner and best friend and when news got around the CPD that Officer Y/L/N and his wife were expecting, Hank was the first one to know and consistently check up on your mom when your dad was working overnights. While they were planning things for your birth, your parents knew that if anything were to happen to them, Hank would go to the ends of the universe to keep you safe. It was a no-brainer to make him your godfather.

One day, they invited him over for dinner to ask him. He nearly choked on his wine when they did. That was possibly one of the best moments of his life, especially knowing that he’d have a kid in his life, although it wasn’t his biological child. When you were born, he couldn’t believe his eyes at how precious you were. From that moment, his mission in life was to ensure that even the smallest of threats would never even find out about you. He chaperoned every school field trip, cheered you on through your sports phase, attended every birthday party, dance recital, and school function. Jay was intimidated by him because although you two were best friends, your uncle made sure it stayed that way by keeping him in check.

Flash forward to your 8th grade year, you had the perfect life. Perfect grades, a tight knit family that supports you through everything, and an amazing friendship in Jay. What could be better than that? The evening you left for soccer tryouts was an evening you’ll never forget. In the middle of doing drills, a CPD vehicle rolls up to the parking lot of your school’s field. A man hops out of the driver's seat and talks to the coach.

“Y/N! Come here kiddo”

You jogged to the two men

“This is Officer Olynski with the Chicago Police Department. You need to go with him, okay?”

“Why? My mom is picking me up at 7:30” you asked

“Hey Y/N, I’m a friend of your dad and your uncle Hank. Your uncle wanted me to pick you up early. Is that cool with you?” Officer Olynski asked

“Um, okay I guess?” you responded

You grabbed your gear bag and hopped in the back seat.

The ride to your house was quiet other than Al’s walkie-talkie.

“What’s going on?” you asked

“Your uncle will tell you all about it when we get to your house” he said

Only a block away from your home, you could hear police sirens wailing. It wasn’t just one, it sounded like multiple. Butterflies started settling in your stomach. As Olynski pulled up to your house, you could see police tape surrounding your yard and multiple police cars parked in the front.

“What’s going on?” you asked with a shaky breath

Hank comes out of the front door and walks to the car. Opening the back door, he slides in the back with you.

“Uncle Hank, what’s going on? What happened?” you asked

He had looked like he just cried. You had never seen him like this.

“What happened?!” you shouted

He and Al gave each other sad glances.

“Kiddo, I’m so sorry”

“What do you mean?”

The car went quiet

“Your mom and dad died” he said

Everything went silent. Nothing made sense. This had to be one giant prank, right? The world seemed to slow down, time stopped and you felt lightheaded.

“Y/N?” Al asked

You sat there and still couldn’t process the news. Your uncle hugged you and sat in the back with you for what seemed like forever. The two of you cried together but Hank knew he had to be strong for you. From that moment, his duties of godfather began and he didn’t miss a beat hopping into action.

*Present Day*

You had a great job with an even better crew to work with especially because Jay was your partner. He had always made it a thing to walk you home after any event. 8th grade formal? High school homecoming? Soccer practice? Even at your parents’ funeral, he was there for you through all of it. Ever since childhood, making sure you got home safely was his number one priority.

It had been a long day, considering you just finished a 12 hour shift. Chasing after the bad guys,

You were in the locker room, packing up before clocking out. As you're stuffing your uniform in your duffle bag, a voice calls out.

"Y/N? You in here?"

"Yep, right here"

Jay appeared from behind the row of lockers.

"Hey, you ready? I wanted to stop by Molly's real quick before we head home. That okay with you?"

"Yeah, I'll be out in a sec" you said

He shot you a smile and left to clock out.

You grab your duffle bag, close and lock your locker and leave.

"See ya Trudy!" you said walking past the front desk

"Have a good night kiddo! Don't forget, I need those reports by Tuesday" she said

"Noted!"

Jay was in the front of the precinct waiting for you as usual.

"It's about time!" he joked

The two of you were on the way to Molly's. Tonight was fundraiser night and neither you nor Jay were ones to socialize but everybody there is practically family so stopping by for a few minutes wouldn't hurt.

"Remember in 1st grade when you got mad and put glue in Chris Henson’s hair because he didn’t pick you for kickball?" you asked

"Of course! The kid had it coming" he chuckled

"Looking back on it, it’s funny how we got pissed off over stuff like that as kids”

"See, and this is another reason why I’m thinking about not having my own kids one day. The kids gonna get my mischievous gene and get in a fight, I’ll have to do the drive of shame to their school and then I’m gonna have to play bad cop”

"You really thought that deep into that situation? " you chuckled

"Oh - hey, I need to stop by Mike’s real quick and grab some cash"

"Good call, I forgot the bar is cash only tonight”

Stepping into Mike’s Convenience Store, you heard the bell above the door chime. The cashier gave you two a quick “Hello” and you head to the back to use the restroom while Jay used the ATM. 4 men walk in moments after and one stands behind him. Thinking that they were waiting to use the ATM, he didn’t think much of it. The machine dispensed his cash and he quickly puts it in his wallet. It was eerily quiet despite the broken store radio playing static.

One of the men walks over to the door and locks it. Jay was on high alert. “Shit” he thought to himself. Suddenly, another man, this one stockier than the others, pulls a gun from the back of his pants.

“Jay Halstead” the man said menacingly

He sighed and turned around

“This moment has been 4 years in the making, my friend.” the man said holding Jay at gunpoint

“Listen, I don’t want any problems” Jay said

“Shut up! I’m gonna talk and you’re gonna listen”

All he could think about was you. If you walk out of the bathroom, you’ll be in the wrong place at the wrong time and if anything were to happen to you, he could never forgive himself. He hoped that by some circumstance, the door would jam so you’d be safe.

“Do you remember me?” he asked

Jay shook his head

“You really don’t remember me, do you?” he asked again

Jay got a good look at the man’s face. It still didn’t ring a bell.

“Let me introduce myself then. Andrei Romero. You arrested me at the corner of Beacon and Oxford about 4 years ago. There was a warrant out for my arrest because I was tied to a double homicide involving one of your officers.”

That’s when it hit him. October 7th, 2015. The day his partner, Erik Steele, was killed on duty. How could he forget? That was the worst day of his life. He and Erik were dispatched to do a welfare check on a house when neighbors heard screaming. Erik knocked on the door but it was cracked open. Guns drawn, they carefully went in and announced themselves. Still no answer, Jay searched up stairs and Erik searched downstairs. Just as soon as Jay gave the all clear for upstairs, 3 gunshots were fired. He ran downstairs and saw Erik on the kitchen floor with a bullet hole in his neck and blood quickly painting the tiled floor red. There was nothing he could do for him but begin basic first aid, call for an ambulance and wait.

“Sounds familiar” Jay said gritting his teeth

“You were also there when Voight interrogated me. He told you to leave but what you don’t know is, after you left, Hank threatened me with jail time if I didn’t confess to who did it. He knew I was innocent. He got me sentenced to 4 years for a crime I didn’t commit. 4 years of my life...gone. My wife and kid? They wanted nothing to do with me and-”

You walked out of the bathroom and walked to the front of the store.

“Jay, how much did you withdr-” you spoke

Unknowingly, you walked right into your worst nightmare

“Look what we have here. Officer Y/L/N.” the man said

Your legs went numb and your feet got cold.

“This just gets even better! Don’t be shy, join us.”

You looked at Jay and he shot you a glance as to say “just do whatever he says”. Romero’s men quickly patted you down with one of them trying to cop a feel.

“You son of a-” Jay flinched

Romero shoved his gun back in his face.

“Have some decency fellas” Romero said slyly

You yanked your arm from one of his men and stood next to Jay

“Officer Y/L. Godkid of Mr. Hank Voight. Don’t you think it’s pretty risky being out this late? There’s a lot of people who love to use you to get to your godfather.” he said

“And why is that?” you asked gritting your teeth

“You don’t know what Voights been up to huh? He’s been hiding things from you, thinking you’ll never find out but karmas finally catching up to him and I’m sorry but this starts with you”

“She has nothing to do with this! Leave her out of it!” Jay shouted

He grabbed your hand, gripping it tight.

Romero’s men stepped forward as he shifted the gun towards you

“You can make this real easy or extremely hard Y/N. Either come with us or-”

He shot a bullet at the ATM

“-the next shot won’t be a warning” he continued

Jay looked at you with fear written on his face and shook his head. Although Hank is your godfather, Jay vowed to protect you too after your parents died and when Al paired you two as partners in your rookie year at CPD.

You looked at Jay and took a deep breath. Letting go of his hand was one of the hardest things you had to do. Hank had taught you enough basic self-defense to take care of yourself so, you knew you’d be fine. When Jay wouldn’t let go of his grip, you wiggled your hand out of his.

Romero’s men grabbed you and held you at gunpoint.

“Tell Voight we stopped by won’t you Jay?” Romero said with a wink

“Oh, and if you want to play ‘hero’? Don’t. You do, and they die” he continued

You didn’t get a chance to look at Jay before you were carried off into their van.

Mike’s Convenience Store was empty and so was Jay. His partner - no, best friend vanished before his eyes and he knew that statistically, the first 48 hours that a person is missing were critical and after 48 hours, their chances of being killed/ never being found doubled.

Y/N’s 48 hours started now.

Can you please do a scenario where Shuichi slowly gets jealous of Kaede’s deduction skills that it gets worse when she figured the case out before him that he tampers with the crime of the next murder to get everyone to focus on him, but is found out? He constantly justifies his actions and refuses to believe that he’s at fault.

Mod Shuichi~

-At the beginning, Kaede and Shuichi had a strong bond even if they only were beginning to know each other, the young oianist brought a smile to the shy detective, which was something he needed after going through a depressive state.

-There, thankfully, weren’t any hints of envy in the first trial, but that whole thought changed as soon as the 2nd class trial was approaching, the young,optimistic girl was able to grasp on the case much quicker than the Ultimate Detective himself.

-He was gifted a talent which resolved around using his surroundings, logic and patience and for some reason, those key elements weren’t falling into place with this case.

-The investigation phase was finished, the final key was participating in the class trial, the most nerve-wrecking and time consuming section of the whole mystery solving game. Kaede started off the trial with an optimistic and motivational line to get everybody on their feet.

-Except, out of all the students, Shuichi was the only one who was immune to that motivational sentence, he just brushed it off and wanted to begin the class trial to proof to everybody that he was the true Ultimate Detective Hope’s Peak Academy invited.

-Once again, she solved the crime faster than him. He was the one who should be solving these cases, so why couldn’t he? After the 2nd trial was finished everybody returned to their respective dorms to recap the recent events. Everyone’s minds were focused on the executions and memories of the death of the killers and victims.

-While Shuichi lay down on his bed trying to hold all his frustration in.

-A sparkling,bright idea popped into his head, but it was much too late to turn this inconceivable plan around. To him, this idea was indeed a bright light, a shining one to make him feel more confident in himself and solve the case much quicker.

-But instead, it’s a dark, twisted and treacherous plan that the pieces might not fall into place for, but he was immune to that logic and started to plan on how he shall tamper with the case.

-The 3rd Investigation phase approached , everybody sickened to their stomachs with the fact that two murders were indeed possible. When everyone left into groups, Shuichi was there pretending to investigate the dead bodies, when really he was trying to tamper with the evidence that could be changed a bit.

-The weapon was changed, the method, almost everything did which just left the rest of the Ultimates in a void of complete and utter confusion. Once the class trial began Shuichi felt much more confident in himself. Determined to solve this case.

-The pianist began to speak, everyone was adding their own bits and pieces, squabbling and agreements were scattered, but Shuichi was standing, participating the most in this trial.

-”Wait a minute” the person who Shuichi envied the most, started thinking more logically about Shuichi’s tampering. She was, bewildered, bewildered on the intentions of him committing this kind of action.

-He started to stutter, she wasn’t in the wrong at all, the one who tampered with the murders was. What went wrong? Was the plan too weak? Or was her deduction skills too powerful to overcome easily?

-Everybody’s belief, formed into doubt. Isn’t Shuichi an innocent,seemingly fragile individual? His positive focus transformed into negative, he was now high on the suspect list. But, the pianist was there to defend him, not his actions, but how he couldn’t be the killer everybody was searching for.

-He didn’t show his frustration and disappointment in himself, instead he kept on trying to justify his actions, trying to make himself look like the innocent one in this situation. How could such a softy commit something like this?

-In the end, Shuichi was in the green zone, which meant he wasn’t voted as the killer. But instead of going back to his dorm with pride, like he hoped. He returned to his dorm with anger,guilt,frustration and disappointment.

-Kaede’s trust wasn’t shattered, she just felt incredibly guilty that she was the reason behind his tampering behind the whole murder.

Lost in Lust island

Hi myself sundhar age 22, this is my fantasy story so please enjoy it. In the year of 2020 me and my friends were going for Bali island trip, we were going in big ship from India, suddenly there was a huge wind and climate change.

We were very scared and our ship got hit by a rock. All of them fell from the ship and it was damn cold, suddenly I got hit by a rock. When I got up I was in a hut and some greenish paste was applied on my hand. I got my consious and found out that I was lost in some island near Africa. I saw a guy who was helping me he was just 1 and half feet height, I thought he might be a dwarf.

When I came out I saw all the men were not taller than 3 feet. But it was totally opposite to ladies as they are more than 6 feet tall and very big. They have very big big tits and booty. All surrounded me was seeing me amazingly. I am light white in colour but due to dirt and mud I was looking dark. They are seeing me as human from different world. Their language is completely different and they were dress below onl that too leafs.

I was taken to some big building and two dwarfs were taking me. I saw the king and queen. The king was 3 feet tall and was wearing some animals skin as dress. He might have killed an animal so he might be a king. But the queen was 7 feet tall and she was having very large breast of about 40dd-34-40 she was looking like a gaint and very beautiful. All were talking something and they showed knife to me. I thought they are going to kill me, so I caught one dwarf and throw him out with full force and caught another dwarf in one hand and hold him top put a slam. Many dwarfs came with stones and I said stop. All surrounded me and then the king came. He might be in late 40's but muscular. They were talking in different language and one priest came. He took me to his house and bathed me.

He got schocked seeing me that I looked white. Then suddenly the king and queen visited me and they were talking something in their language. When I saw the queen and her huge tits my penis got it's length to 7" inch. They all are in shock now. I guess they are seeing a white tall man for the first time. They called one girl(i used to call her manga) she was beautiful and with boobs size about 34-28-34. She was dark and perfect figure with 6 feet tall. After I ate manga came to me, and she was saying something and I was trying to understand her. It was evening and all went to sleep I could not see any light and full of mosquito and I was not able to sleep. Manga also was leaving and I took too dry sticks and trying to make fire. I am crazy about foods although I cannot eat a large amount of food at once. (Then why am I getting so fat?) Maybe crazy enough to throw away my whole HR manager career at 70 billion dollar petroleum company where I worked for over 11 years. As an HR, I had many chances to meet thousands of undergraduate students, and I always told them to find something they love even if it may sound ‘too ideal’. One day, I came to throw questions to myself; ‘What about me? Am I doing what I really love?’. I kept thinking about it for a couple of years and came to a conclusion. “I need leave here and go for it.”

Out of so many good culinary quotes, this quote was very impressive to me. In most cases, people try to learn something good from well-run restaurants, but Chef Wolfgang focused more on the other side instead.

There was a similar quote a few years ago I from one of the most famous chef and franchise owner in Korea, and his name is Jongwon Baek. During his show named 'Food Truck', he said "To step up, you need to take a look into a restaurant which is not doing well, not a well-run restaurant".

Everything is in Korean so it would not be a great help for other language users but the blogger posted a lot of basic knowledges of cooking such as ABC’s of Flour, Fat, Milk, Wine etc. It shows a lot of products sold in Canada so for a new comer to Canada like myself, this blog will be a great help when shopping in a local market. What I do not like about this blog is that a lot of this person’s personal events are also posted which makes the blog look a bit less professional. I will need to think about it when I proceed with new blogs of my own.

“Endless Blue Waves” [Aqua Force]

So today, I’m going to talk about the infamous Blue Waves and their support from G-BT13′s Ultimate Stride along with my overall thoughts of the archetype. However, instead of my usual one deck list featured in the discussion; I’m going to show off two deck lists with reasons I’ll explain towards the end of each one. Also spoilers, this will be probably the lengthiest deck discussion on this blog so be prepared for a lot. I will try to keep the profiles first with minor chatter about the cards like normal but the bulk of it is really just the differences between the two decks. It’s also for this reason, I won’t have an “Alternative Cards” section, but they will be listed in the cards themselves. So without further delay, let’s get started.

For the sake of simplicity, both decks will have two names. The first deck I’m going to cover will be focused on Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos as the main grade three. So I’ll be calling this one the “Valeos Variant”. I’ve seen others call this “Pure Blue Waves" or even “New (Style) Blue Wave" but semantics.

x4 Blue Wave Marshal, Valeos: The newest Grade 3 of the deck, who also happens to be the Admiral and the creator of Aqua Force is here. I was honestly surprised that he was even in Blue Wave’s considering I would think the creator would be a universal unit or at least have some synergy with Maelstrom considering Glory drew power from him, but nonetheless. As a unit himself, he’s pretty good, with his heartbeat skill being one of a kind: restricting the opposing vanguard’s power from increasing/decreasing from 11000 if you stride a Blue Wave G Unit. This skill is very revolutionary to Aqua Force because it eliminates one of the pesky counters to the clan’s aggression: damage triggers. Especially good in match ups whose clans/cards allow the vanguard to gain power on the opposing turn like Angel Feathers. His other skill, available at the start of ride phase: calling a blue wave card (said card gains +2000) to draw another, is really good to dig into your deck for pieces or key cards. Especially handy when looking for Brutal Troopers, which I’ll touch on more later. Overall a really solid boss card: focusing on aggression by restricting the opponent’s power.

x3 Blue Wave Dragon, Anger-boil Dragon: The original heartbeat of Blue Waves, Anger-boil is a good alternative to ride if you cannot find Valeos since he does come equipped with his Generation Break 2 in addition to his heartbeat skill to re-stand two rear-guards when Tetra-boil Dragon attacks second. Both of these grade 3s help reinforce the aggressive nature of the deck but in two separate paths. Valeos restricting the opponent down to let everything hit, while Anger-boil power’s up everything to make solid numbers. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses but combined together you virtually have a pretty solid ride regardless of whom you favor more.

x1 Blue Wave Dragon, Arsenal-fleet Dragon: This is the newest grade 3 for Blue Wave’s. While he isn’t a good ride target (the worst of all of them in fact), and a subpar rear-guard skill, his Drop Zone skill is what makes him a great utility card to warrant at least 1 as a staple. His rear-guard conflicts with Anger-boil’s 2nd attack (including Tetra-boil) but does allow him to re-stand and becoming a 15000 attacker. However, when he’s in the drop zone: when your vanguard has re-stood: you can soul blast one to add Arsenal-fleet back in hand. He’s the perfect discard fodder whether it’s to stride, perfect guard, or to pay for costs, because as long as your vanguard re-stands, you’ll be able to add him back to hand. My biggest gripe about Blue Wave was that it had no ability to secure stride fodder compared to the other decks outside of digging through the deck via bubble edge, draw triggers, brutal trooper, or through Bright shooter (via a boost on Wave-4+). Arsenal does fix this in a gimmicky cliche manner which is gladly appreciated.

x4 Blue Wave Marine General, Foivos: Foivos is personally the best grade 2 Blue Waves have ever received. His ability alone rivals even that of Tidal Assault, being early and can make the Tetra-boil (Anger Heart) re-stand with just him alone. That being said, Foivos still remains in the deck because his role in the deck is very crucial especially given that the entire deck is now Blue Wave, he’s able be active as early as grade 2.

x4 Blue Wave Marine General, Galleas: So this is one of the newest Grade 2s for Blue Wave, featured in the anime too. When Galleas attacks while you have Generation Break 1, you can discard one Blue Wave and counterblast one and until the end of the turn he gets the ability to stand back up with +2000 when your vanguard attacks. In addition, if Galleas attacked on the first battle when you pay the cost, he immediately stands back up. Galleas by himself is able to attack three times and fulfill the conditions for a Blue Wave vanguard to re-stand, which is amazing by right. My issue with this card is the heavy restrictions: discarding a blue wave, needing a vanguard whose original name has “Blue Wave”. His ability also clashes with many of the other Blue Wave re-standing rear-guards like Foivos and not to mention it has no synergy with Tetra-boil (Anger’s heart) since the skills will overlap. In other words, this card specifically exists for the moments where you aren’t on Tetra-boil+Anger-boil and with little to no back up rears. The cost and restrictions of the card does turn people away however the pay off is good so it’s up to preference. (Alternative: Blue Wave Marine General, Lucianos)

x3 Blue Wave Marine General, Medla: Medla (originally Medora so please forgive any mistypes) is the second newest grade 2 for Blue Wave. While she is an 8000 base, which gives me some paranoia, the pay off is again, extremely good. She has constant Resist but on Generation Break 1, if you have a Blue Wave Vanguard, she can attack from back row and becomes an 11000 for the battle she attacks. Again, a grade 2 that can hit from the back row on their own and with an added resist bonus, thus making waves flexible and durable even in the face of it’s counters: a good step to improve Aqua Force as I’ve talked about this before. While she is a Blue Wave, she’s probably not the best Vanguard to sit on but if you’re able to go for the aggressive approach with Foivos, it’d probably be best to ride her. I’ve played her at 2 and didn’t seem to make an impact, four is a tad clunky for me since there are some grade 1s you’d want in the back row, so three is generally a safe number to go with.

x4 Blue Wave Soldier Senior, Beragios: Beragios serves as Valeos’ Abyssal Owl clone: checking the top 7 for a Valeos Grade 3 and dropping cards whose grades equal 3 or more. Again: another Grade 3 search which, while nice, using this does more harm than good unless you have a stride fodder or another grade 3 in hand (preferably and ideally Arsenal fleet), you’re going to end up dropping some cards that suit better on the field. If you have no grade 3, I do not recommend using this card as a means of getting one for this reason. The reason why Abyssal Owl works is because you can ditch cards to fuel your drop zone for Ritual, not to mention Luard can free stride and recycle those cards back. Valeos - nor Blue Waves - depend on the drop zone, Valeos can’t free stride, nor can recycle from the drop zone to the deck. Beragios’ other skill is that he can re-stand if the vanguard stands. I feel this works better as a front unit in most cases or have a column of him, otherwise: without Anger-heart beat, there’s almost no front row unit that’ll be standing for Beragios to boost (save for the Vanguard), in most cases for this deck in particular. Other than that he’s a good ride target, something to call but his skills although handy do not shine a lot.

x4 Kelpie Rider, Nikki: Probably shouldn’t have to talk to much about this. The stride fodder getting reprinted in this set is extremely helpful since the only reprint it had was an SP pack edition which is already difficult to obtain.

x4 Blue Wave Shield General, Yorgos: Yorgos is the Blue Wave exclusive perfect guard that was surprising yet saw coming given the set advertised Blue Waves could be built from this set alone. It was surprising considering the amount of counterblast this deck does, I thought perhaps this would’ve been a reprint of the currently out of stock/out of print sentinel Ocean Keeper Plato. However, this card is not bad, as you would expect: it can protect any Blue Wave unit. His secondary skill turns any Blue Wave rear-guard into a back row attacker at Generation break 1, by binding himself from drop zone. Which makes Blue Wave’s endless assaults even stronger by having your grade 2s (save Melda) be able to attack repeatedly from the back row, especially good against locks. (Alternative: Ocean Keeper, Plato)

x2 Blue Wave Soldier, Bright Shooter: Lastly, I recommend Bright shooter because it keeps the decks theme consistent with Blue Wave names, it still ensures your ability to stride without Arsenal-fleet. Not to mention, Arsenal’s cost is a soul blast: the same cost as Valeos’ heartbeat. Granted you won’t always use Valeos, but there is a limit to how many times you can get back Arsenal-fleet.

Blue Wave Dragon, Dagger Master Dracokid: Dagger returns here as the best starter for this build (and I do say best sparingly). Originally, you’d play Bubble Edge here but Bubble Edge can’t exactly trigger in this deck in a traditional sense. Dagger is basically Bubble but with a counter blast one and a generation break 1 restriction but more consistent, especially taking into account this deck’s first stride. Dagger let’s you draw per Vanguard attack on Waves 2 or more but on the fifth Wave, the vanguard will get +1 critical. Blue Wave’s also have two other starters but one is a worse Andrey and the other one is not really ideal. in addition since Blue Wave rears can consistently re-stand over and over, Andrey doesn’t really fit here either. So it goes without saying: Dagger Master is the better choice here with some obvious flaws being his restrictions and is a good lock target/retire target.

x4 Blue Wave Soldier, Brutal Trooper: The staple critical of the deck and of course the deck’s main draw engine. Originally Brutal Trooper existed as a sort of luxury for the deck where, it wasn’t a must have in order to profit. However, the deck has changed to where the deck’s ability to get about anything and to maintain your defenses and resources is dependent of Brutal Trooper. A comparison can be drawn to Luard’s Belial Owl, where without it, it was subpar but with these critical triggers, the deck flows much better.

x4 Supersonic Sailor: This deck also has an counter-charging issue where Supersonic is also important here to fuel the soul and get back counter blast. This is especially true if you do not have Plato.

x4 Blue Wave Soldier, Bluegill Trooper: A blue wave draw trigger that acts like Marika, though the Blue Wave is important since there is a lot of costs that rely on the name either for discards, soul blasts, and especially counter blasting. Beyond here, I will say you can even go 6 critical / 6 draw trigger to draw a bit more to get anything you need considering how aggressive Blue Waves are and maintaining that aggression and getting those resource cards rival the offensive critical trigger. Additionally, the new Blue Wave Stand Trigger (or any Stand Trigger) is good too since you have many ways of attacking from both front row and back row that hitting a stand trigger won’t go to waste.

x4 Blue Wave Engineer, Refit Sailor: Set 13′s Ultimate Stride introduce a new series of heal triggers for specific archetypes that activate by discarding one for the cost of a G-Guardian: by binding another heal and herself from the drop zone: you’re allowed to either counter charge or soul charge. These are really good heal triggers especially given that this is by far a better heal trigger than Ihoannes whom only works with a specific G-Guardian and discards a grade one or lower to draw. As an added bonus, if it wasn’t obvious enough: she’s a Blue Wave.

x4 Blue Wave Marshal Dragon, Flood Hazard Dragon: Flood Hazard is the newest G Unit for Blue Wave. At the end of the fourth battle and a Blue Wave rear-guard attacked; you may counterblast one, flip up one Flood Hazard in your G-zone, and discard two cards from hand to the drop zone to re-stand Flood Hazard with drive minus three. In addition, Flood Hazard’s Generation Break 3 gives all Blue Wave front row rear-guards +2000 and Flood Hazard gains Drive+1. In short, this is another Blue Wave re-stander but can become a Quad-Driving vanguard, but the most important note to take away from this is that Flood Hazard can re-stand as a first stride. Overall I love the card and it is a truly solid card but it does have it’s flaws. Let’s start with the fact that while he can be re-stand first stride: Flood Hazard is heavily dependent on outside elements to make up for his cost i.e. Brutal Trooper. The straight up discard 2 and the lack of drive checks on the second attack is not worth. Flood Hazard is a little bit better when he goes from GB2 --> GB3 on his re-stand because he does drive check one at least but at that point: I believe Tetra-boil is the better re-stander. Finally, when Flood is at GB3+ is where he truly shines and matches pace with counterpart due to the 2000 power buff on the front row and the ability to drive check four from the start and safely go into a drive check one. Ultimately, Flood Hazard is better in the situations where you have a lot of Brutal Troopers, if Valeos is the vanguard, or when you’re at Generation break 3+. Additionally, Flood Hazard is the reason why Dagger exists here now because even though the second attack has no drive check (if first strode), he will be given +1 critical which more often than not will be something to guard. Also a trivial note: Flood Hazard’s +1 Drive isn’t Blue Wave restricted.

x4 Blue Wave Marshal General, Tetra-boil Dragon: The original boss of Blue Waves. Because you play Anger-boil, Anger-boil + Tetra-boil is by far the strongest re-stand combination because of Anger-boil’s heart beat. Standing a column for free is super good and makes Blue Wave’s easy on costs. However, Tetra-boil and even Anger-boil specify Wave 2 so it will clash with some of the other unit’s. In addition, it isn’t restricted to Blue Wave rear-guards so you’re forgiven for playing essential non-Blue Waves but other than that: if you just want to constantly re-stand or if you have nothing else to play: Tetra-boil is the go to G-Unit especially considering he got a reprint in this set. Although, truth be told, with this deck: you can get away with playing just 2 Tetra-boil or even none if you value other G-Unit’s either as finishers (Lambros) or for utility (Commander Thavas/Sebreeze), since spacing is important and being able to have an answer to situations (whether it’s field management or cost management to use skills) is extremely important. However, if you do end up removing Tetra-boil completely, I’d recommend removing Anger-boil and adding more Arsenal-fleet since Anger would lose purpose without this card. (Alternatives: Marine General of Heavenly Silk, Lambros | Storm Dominator, Commander Thavas)

x1 Marshal General of Wave Honor, Alexandros: Alexandros is the newest G-Unit for all of Aqua Force. On Wave’s 2nd and 3rd only, at the end of the battle that he attacked, generic flip one card in the g zone face up: stand two units and give 5000 to both units per each face up card in the g zone. I’m just going to break the silence if the effect didn’t already do so: this G-Unit alone is amazingly good in Aqua Force in any variant. He’s a good first stride (especially if you don’t wish to use Flood Hazard without the necessary cards), he’s an unstoppable finisher (more on that in Thavas), he makes the G-zone flexible by being a generic flip: something I’ve always wanted. The effect itself is crazy because Aqua Force’s whole game plan was for the rears to get up to a specific wave and the vanguard takes care of the rest. Alexandros now in a sense generates more wave’s by making the rear-guards stronger and reusing their abilities such as re-standing, drawing, retiring. Lambros does do the same but you need to have a specific set up to reserve those abilities when they re-stood. In addition, this is a pretty safe stride to go into almost any time during the game, the later the better. On his own he does double of what Commander did first stride, later on he’s stronger than Lambros. For such an amazing card, why do I only have one here? Well, the other two G slots are taken up by Tetra-boil but I feel you only need one either as a first stride or a finisher ,if you first strode Flood Hazard. That and Alexandros being a GR might be difficult to obtain: so while two Alexandros is ideal, you’ll be fine with one.

x1 Storm of Lament, Wailing Thavas: With the introduction of many solid mid-range strides, Wailing’s original role as a “safe finisher” (especially in non-Blue Wave decks) can be re-purposed as just a niche alternative units as GRs should be. You still play one because well removes the opponents board and blocks their sentinel though you will find that at times, you probably won’t need to go into this unit as much as you needed to before.

x1 Zeroth Dragon of Distant Seas, Megiddo: Meggido is the newest “ZR” G-Unit that can be used by every card in the specified nation, along with it’s new mechanic “Ultimate Stride”. Dropping a unit of the same name as your vanguard to stride while having three face up cards in the G zone but at the end of the turn: the G zone is excluded from the game. Meggido’s effect is pay 2 counterblast on placement, choose up to five rear-guards from your hand or drop zone and call them to your field and they all gain 5000 and after an attack they can swap places with another unit on it’s board. An ability that represents the finer attributes of all three Magallanican clans. I’m not exactly a big fan of this card or any Zeroth Dragon in general because the punishment of not being able to finish your opponent is too steep especially with most decks being reliant on their generation breaks. Not to mention, Aqua Force has a plethora of finishers to choose from and all of which can succeed in even the most harsh conditions: lock, control. If Megiddo could call over locked cards: maybe. It also doesn’t help that counterblast two is almost a myth in this deck in the late stages of the game. Finally it also doesn’t help that Megiddo himself cannot protect rears from hazards like Lacus Carina, Impede Dragon and Defeat Flare who will almost guarantee the opponent’s survival due to the removal of rear-guards. So why is Megiddo in this deck? Well the nature of Valeos’ Blue Wave deck is an “all in, one shot” or so to speak. Everything from the heart beat, to Flood Hazard’s first stride, to the perfect guard’s the costs of other rear-guards: all of it is just speaks to me that this deck is entirely a one-shot especially since this deck has no plays outside of Foivos in the early stages of the game. If it’s able to profit then you live but if not and you aren’t able to kill: you will more than likely lose or be left with next to nothing. At the very least, Megiddo can give you a free field back and at minimum 6 attacks. (Alternatives: Marshal General of Wave Honor, Alexandros | Air Element, Sebreeze. Additionally, you can add these alternatives by removing two Tetra-boil’s.)

x2 Guard Leader of Sky and Water, Ihoannes: Ihoannes is still a pretty solid G-Guard because it protects your board and can be a huge shield buffer in any wave. Flipping a face down G-Guardian also helps contribute to Alexandros’ power especially one that you probably won’t use.

x2 Blue Wave Armor General, Galfilia: A new G-Guardian for Aqua Force whom which current stands as being the best G-Guardian for the clan. For starters she gains 5000 shield on 2nd and 3rd Waves: so finally we have a Wave 3 G-Guardian. In addition, when she’s face up in the G-zone, by paying a soul blast and flipping her face down: she can choose a card in either your damage or your circle and turn it face up. So in addition to being a strong shield, she can recycle herself and the amazing part is that not only can she flip up damage but she can unlock and un-delete your units. Simply amazing.

x1 Blue Storm Deterrence Dragon, Ice Barrier Dragon: Standard 25000 shield on 1st Wave and any Wave on 4th or more. I generally found myself playing one in other decks because Galfilia and Ihoannes cover the Waves where the vanguard usually will attack in but these G-Guardians are pretty versatile so the numbers is up to you but I feel two Ihoannes is good for the G-zone acceleration and protecting board.

Deck Conclusion

As I started in Meggido’s section: this deck is really a hyper aggressive glass cannon one shot style deck because it heavily depends on it’s first stride being able to generate resources from individual cards such as Brutal Trooper, Dagger Master, Arsenal-fleet, Brightshooter, Draw triggers. While in doing so, restricting the opponent’s power to 11000 to lock them out of damage triggers and power bonuses. The less key cards: namely Brutal and Dagger, that you’re able to use during your first stride the less you’ll be able to profit meaning the more vulnerable you are because of the costs you had to pay. I severely am not a fan of this style of play because while aggression is the name of the game, the heavy commitments need to pay off and those commitments involve hoarding Brutal Troopers. Me personally, I prefer having some flexibility in all stages of the game in case of match ups or if things start to go south very early. In addition to needing to have the correct grades, rear guards, the ability to stride, the ability to guard, you also need to hold onto these critical triggers: which ideally is not possible without you hitting draw triggers. I’ve even seen some Blue Wave builds playing 8 draw triggers which: I can understand why. This deck very much reminds me of Sanctuary Guard in which you drop everything on the first Regalie turn and if you failed, you had very little resources to work with in terms of defense, except the aggression is cranked up higher in Valeos being able to attack endlessly from all fronts without fear of damage triggers. However, that being said: if you are able to get everything you need, sure enough you will definitely have a significant advantage over the opponent and if you are a fan of this style of play of hyper aggression supported by eliminating power ups during the battle phase: I truly do recommend it. While I do prefer flexibility, I cannot lie that this deck does shine with everything comes together and has the tools to alternate their battle strategy and is a pretty overall fun deck.

Following the simplistic naming scheme, I’m going to call this next deck the “Anger Varient” because it does revolve around Blue Wave Dragon, Anger-boil Dragon as the main grade three. It does have another name such as “Original Blue Wave” since long story short, is the Blue Wave deck that has been played before Set 13 with just newer support. There is another name but I’m going to save that for later. That being said, I’m not going to cover too much of units I’ve already talked about: I’m just going to rush through and only talk about the units not present in the Valeos deck. Also special shout outs to two of my friends and teammates: Cherry and Anjaro for giving me the idea to try this out. Because of them, this deck is probably one that I’m dedicating myself to in real life until I’m able to complete Thavas.

[Grade 3s: 7 Units]

x4 Blue Wave Dragon, Anger-boil Dragon: While I say Anger-boil can used here, truth be told you can use Valeos here as well but I prefer Anger-boil more since Tetra-boil is the “go-to” re-stander of this build.

x2 Supreme Ruler of the Storm, Thavas: Supreme Thavas, originally known as “Champion Thavas”, is the greatest card to come out of Set 13 save for Alexandros. The obvious thing to note is that if you should ride him, your Blue Wave engine falls however his presence in the deck is pretty impacting. Supreme Thavas has a rear-guard ability on Generation Break 2, 1st and 4th Wave only, when he attacks at the end of the battle, counterblast one, and he stands. In my older deck profiles, I always kept one Thavas in Blue Wave’s to search him out while placing Nikki on the board just to maintain the ability to stride and never to ride. With Supreme Thavas, you actually have a benefit to having him since he can be called as an additional rear-guard. So good that I even encourage to at least run two. Should you have to ride him: he gives any unit resist and if that unit has “Wave” ability, it can attack from the back row. The deck is also built to accommodate the situation should he be the vanguard, since better this than Arsenal-fleet if you can’t get Anger-boil. You can put Thavas in the Valeos build but since Flood Hazard takes priority, it could clash with the other units or even with Flood Hazard himself.

x1 Blue Wave Dragon, Arsenal-fleet Dragon: I feel two Arsenal-fleet is good because again, having at least once is super good but this deck has means to get Arsenal in the drop zone faster for a more preferred ride. Although if you prefer seven grade 3s, you can minus one Arsenal-fleet.

[Grade 2s: 12 Units]

x4 Tidal Assault: Man of the hour, the staple of Aqua Force. Again, shaving off a lot of counterblast usage from the deck by having this guy here. I will mention that there were times when it felt like Tidal Assault would get kicked out of the deck but I feel that rather than completely invalidating a really solid card, the support across the entire clan made it so that you don’t need to have Tidal but more so as a want.

x4 Blue Wave Marine General, Foivos: Foivos again, being on par with Tidal for best grade 2. For added trivia, Foivos is the only Grade 2 in the deck with “Wave” ability. So calling him with Supreme Thavas will give him back row and resist. His re-stand ability will come from striding Flood Hazard since Flood Hazard being a Blue Wave will fulfill the conditions to activate Foivos and Flood Hazard’s GB3 is not restricted to a Blue Wave heart so he will be a Quad Driver which is better than nothing I suppose. I give credits to the Flood Hazard+Thavas+Foivos to both Cherry and Anjaro. (Alternative: Blue Wave Marine General, Medla)

x4 Magnum Assault: Magnum Assault a blast from the past. Originally I disliked Magnum Assault because of how sluggish he was and how awkward he’d be fighting against Link Joker since he’s not a standalone. But, Magnum actually has some really cool synergy with Beragios should your Vanguard re-stand giving you another column to work with. Shame Magnum is once per turn too. Although, the purpose of Magnum is to allow non-conflicting waves across any of the boss units, especially if you have to ride Thavas. (Alternative: Blue Wave Marine General, Medla)

[Grade 1s: 14 Units]

x4 Kelpie Rider Nikki: As mentioned above in Thavas, you can just call him, search your grade 3 Thavas for either stride or to call as a rear-guard later. Other than that, usual stride fodder.

x4 Ocean Keeper, Plato: Since this is deck has a lot of non-blue waves, having Yorgos would not be ideal at all. Plato is still the best perfect guard for simply counter charging.

x3 Blue Wave Senior Soldier, Beragios: Beragios I have three here because I feel that without Valeos in the deck at a maximum, Beragios loses a lot of importance outside of being a re-standing booster. (Alternatives: Blue Wave Soldier, Bright Shooter | Battle Siren, Orthia | Battle Siren, Stacia)

x3 Dispatch Mission Seagull Soldier: The Seagull is back in business. On call, you soul blast one to add 3000 to a unit and on generation break one; if he boosts on wave four or higher, you can add him back to hand. This helps Tidal reach those numbers, or can make Supreme Thavas a 21k column. The alternatives for this card are the same as Beragios.

[Triggers & Starter]

Bubble Edge Dracokid: The bubble shines best here because there are a majority of rear-guards that can attack twice in succession meaning being able to trigger the draw back to back on Wave 4th & 5th is easy. from Tidal, Magnum, and Thavas, you have numerous ways. You can alternatively put Dagger Master but is useless if you ride Thavas (until you stride Flood Hazard). (Alternative: Officer Cadet, Andrey)

x4 Blue Wave Soldier, Brutal Trooper: Again, best critical in the deck. However, in this build it returns to it’s role as being a luxury since Bubble Edge takes off some of the strain by drawing cards as early as grade 2.

x4 Supersonic Sailor: Another staple critical for the clan being a counter charger that I feel should’ve gotten a reprint.

x4 Blue Wave Soldier, Bluegill Trooper: Either Bluegill or Marika will do fine. You don’t need the Blue Wave name since there’s only one unit that especial counterblasts but their skill will most likely not see standard play. Originally, in older profiles, I used to play 12 critical Aqua Force for the maximum aggression because Brutal Trooper and Kelpie Rider, Petros allowed me to draw more and maintain a higher shield value. I will possibly look to try playing them again but I feel with how aggressive and fast paced this game is: you need to see as much of anything as quickly as possible from defensive cards, rear-guards, stride costs, everything. Drawing into heals or even Brutal Trooper & Supersonic isn’t bad since one is your defensive card and the other can shuffle itself back into the deck, while the other can replenish your damage.

x4 Blue Wave Engineer, Refit Sailor: Again, best heal in the clan so far.

[Generation Zone: 12 G Units & 4 G-Guardians]

x4 Blue Wave Marshal Dragon, Tetra-boil Dragon: Tetra-boil is this deck’s go to re-stander because you run a lot of non-Blue Wave’s that makes Flood Hazard somewhat situational. Not to mention of course, you have the heartbeat of Anger-boil which turns Tetra-boil into the strongest re-stander of the two. Lastly, there aren’t any units that would clash with the skills of either Anger or Tetra-boil. Truth be told, you can actually get away with playing 2 Tetra-boil since you have other finishers to go into.

x2 Blue Wave Marshal Dragon, Flood Hazard Dragon: Of course, if you are able to go into Flood Hazard Dragon especially on Generation Break 3 or higher, I’d advise going into it since the fourth drive check is pretty worth. Same with Tetra-boil, you get away with playing no Flood Hazard because you’ll go into Tetra more than Flood in addition to other powerful finishers, but the quad drive makes this pretty solid to have. However, I feel I should mention that, going into Flood Hazard vs Tetra-boil depends entirely on your situation: if your Generation Break is lower than 3 or if you’re lacking a Blue Wave rear-guard: Tetra-boil is better.

x2 Marshal General of Wave Honor, Alexandros: Alexandros is your first stride, ideally. He can enable bubble edge to go off twice by standing up the other rears. Having two is important because if nothing else, going into the second one will be death for your opponent in most cases.

x2 Storm Dominator, Commander Thavas: Commander exists as an out to Link Joker but if your deck is built with enough back row attackers or with resists, you can side this out for Lambros who can serve as another finisher. If you don’t end up fighting against Link Joker, you can flip Commander for Alexandros. (Alternative: Marine General of Heavenly Silk, Lambros)

x1 Storm of Lament, Wailing Thavas: Like before, having the option to stop grade 1s from guarding and removing the opponents board is always a reason to keep Wailing Thavas but there aren’t really much times you’ll stride into him.

x1 Air Element, Sebreeze: Sebreeze was a card that you either ran or didn’t because having a space reserved for the situation that comes up very rarely can make him a wasted slot. But, because you have Alexandros, having Sebreeze for those situations are good because then if you don’t need it, you can flip him up. Otherwise, I prefer using the CB2 to overwhelm the opponent than to go for a very situational finisher that punishes me for not winning on that turn. (Alternatives: Blue Swirl Marshal Dragon, Last Twister Dragon | Zeroth Dragon of Distant Seas, Megiddo)

x1 Guard Leader of Sky and Water, Ihoannes: See below.

x1 Blue Storm Deterrence Dragon, Ice Barrier Dragon: So I only have four G-Guardians because of the space and that I would need to cut a persona card for another non-persona stride (preferably Alexandros) and a G-Guardian. However, Galfilia can recycle so if you do use all four and have another heal left, you can just flip her face down and refund your G-Guardian.

Deck Conclusion

This build exists as a more “all purpose” deck, being able to make plays early, mid, and late game with very little to no restrictions whatsoever. I feel this is rather the better variant of playing Blue Wave, because it’s aggressiveness while not hyper like Valeos, is still stable and strong and is very similar to the top contending deck, Thavas, in every way except with the lack of resist. This is also adjustable across different formats/meta a lot easier than Valeos because it can pick up cards from the entire clan as opposed to being restricted to Blue Wave only, making it very techy. This deck is also very reminiscent to my original deck creation the “Divine Storm” since it can utilize the Thavas engine while still having the Blue Wave bosses, however, I feel it won’t be effective because Alexandros essentially gave Thavas a mid-range play that Tetra-boil gave the deck, so it’ll just default to using Thavas engine with Blue Wave bosses which although good is not really good if you ride Anger-boil (because you’d have to force yourself to a Thavas stride to benefit from the Thavas rears). This deck does however still has it’s flaws since it’s sort of a “jack of all trades, master of none” while Valeos and the other AQ decks each have a specialty that it excels in better than than build: Valeos being the more aggressive while Thavas is more resourceful and flexible, field and attacking pattern wise. This build is “average” and flexible building wise and can appeal to those who aren’t able to build their ideal decks and still trying to make something with what they currently have.

Conclusion

Thank you all for reading this profile~ It took a lot of time for me to organize this because I wanted to talk about the differences of both decks and bring awareness that there are two separate decks for this archetype. These decks may not be built exactly like either of the listed builds but each one carries a different style and game play which differs across. For anyone curious: I have an original “rant” that I wrote to my team about each deck before I began working on this for more of my immediate thoughts of the archetype. I don’t think the archetype is bad, I still love it and I find it interesting that they went this route. However, this set actually resolved an internal crisis of sorts that I’ve been having to decide between Thavas or Blue Waves, and I finally decided on Thavas for reasons that’ll be explained in the next and final deck profile featuring both the standard build and the Wave keyword build. So stay tuned and look forward to that.

The irresistible magician - Kunal Karan Kapoor

HReams and reams of articles have been written about this versatile actor by his adoring fans. I wonder what should I add more? Making an attempt to pen down my thoughts about this actor who has swept me off my feet. Making me a die hard fan of his.

It was in the year 2004 that I was introduced to Kunal Karan Kapoor as 'Varun' in remix. At that time I was so besotted by a chocolate faced hero. Despite of my loyalty to that actor I saw the spark in Kunal. And realised he was a good actor. Remix wrapped up. And I forgot him.

But destiny brought him back in my life again. This time as 'Cadet Yadhuvansh Sahni' aka 'Yudi' in the serial 'Left Right Left' aired on Sab TV. The sole reason for me to start watching the serial was the catchy title track. And Rajeev Khandelwal's presence. But slowly and surely I fell in love with all the other characters. And again had a soft corner for Kunal. Again there was a feeling that he is inordinately gifted and waiting to explode. There have been many memorable scenes from the serial. But time and again I go back to YouTube and watch Yudi's suicide attempt. The scene screamed for an encore and left me shaken.

Kunal's performance left me in awe. Still get goose bumps.

After LRL I became engrossed and busy completing my Masters. I had no time for TV. Though Kunal had made an impact on me.. As time passed by he kind of disappeared from my memory.

Professional commitments took me to Chennai and Delhi respectively. I deliberately didn't have access to television. Nothing worthwhile to watch. And all the serials were depressing and regressive.

July 2011 I was back in Mumbai. I settled down in my mundane boring life. Nothing exciting. Nothing to look forward to.

December 2011 was a turning point in my life. Going through the most troubled and emotional turmoil phase on my life. But someone up there had decided that he would be sending some one to me who would be a soothing balm to my troubled soul. And would bring back the smile, cheerfulness, happiness and zing back into my life.

Circa January 2012. I am lolling on the sofa. And there comes a trailer of a new serial 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha' that was going to turn my life upside down for ever. What caught my eye was the refreshing trailer( it didn't look like the regular run of a mill story.) The two adorable moppets caught my attention. The heroine didn't look like a overdressed Christmas tree. And there was the hero who looked like the regular boy next door. He looked familiar. I racked my brains trying to remember why did he look so familiar and pulled my heartstrings. And then it hit me that this is Yudi. And he was going to play the lead for the first time. And this is when my love, adoration, pagalpanti for this charismatic actor started.

NBTNMKK was on my agenda. I had made up my mind that I was going to watch it. Come what may. Episode one.. And Mr. Kunal Karan Kapoor vroomed into my life again. This time it was an adoration that would last for lifelong.. He was going to stay in my life for eternity. And I was to fall hopelessly in love with Kunal Karan Kapoor/ Mohan Bhatnagar..

What do I say about his talent. Words don't suffice. And I fall short of adjectives and expressions to praise him. You just need to watch him on screen to fall for his spell. And to be charmed by him. To understand why he is called 'King of expressions', 'Second to none', ' an actor in the truest sense'. Why do teens love him? Why do working professionals go insane for him? Why are tv viewers in their 40s and 50s completely smitten by him.?

A charming, most adorable face.. Eyes which speak thousand words.. and I am hopelessly drawn to them.. Go weak in my knees and become a gawky teenager whenever he is on screen. Detractors can say that I am smitten only by his looks. But good looks cannot hold viewers attention for a long time. Atleast not for me and for all Kunalian's. We were hungry to see a quality actor and Kunal was manna from heaven to us.

Devoid of model looks, 6 pack abs .. for me he is the sexiest man on planet earth. He makes me laugh, and cry. He brings loads of happiness in my life. My day starts with him and ends with him.

An actor extraordinaire and a humble human being. A deadly combo. So down to earth, no starry attitude, frank opinion, vulnerable, genuine love and affection for all his fans. How many actors can claim that they genuinely care for their fans? I cannot think of any. Kunal is truly an exception. A smile of his and my day/life is lit up.

8 months have elapsed since NBTNMKK winded up. But his popularity is spiralling through the roof. Fans are increasing in thousands. And everyone is screaming for his presence back on our TV screen. We are dead sure he will be back with a bang. With a role that will become more iconic then 'Mohan Bhatnagar'.

Just wanted to let you know Kunal that I love you a lot. You are truly special for me. I will remember you throughout my life. I want nothing but the best for you my rockstar. May God bestow all his blessings on you. May all your desires get fulfilled. You reach the pinnacle of success. And blessed with loads of happiness.

I am content watching your pics, edits, reruns of NBT/Pratigya. Please come back soon. No one has been able to fill the void in my life after you taking a break. Miss you lots, Waiting for you.

Thanks to Sonal Ganatra...for creating a character like Mohan... and also to Subrat Sinhaji for those mind blowing dialogues...and Kunal breathed in life to Mohan in such a way that Mohan is not a reel character any more..he's a real human being who's very very close to us... and I think...KKK is the biggest reason for NBT's Success. For 2nd Ssn..he's shouldering it almost alone..”

My 10 reasons for loving "The Kunal Karan Kapoor" : 1. The Rising : Looking back at his first role as Cadet Yaduvansh Sahni in Left Right Left, I can realize how far he has come. No doubt, he has portrayed every character with total dedication, but when I see today's Kunal - I feel he probably has had re-incarnation !! 2. Not just an actor : He defines himself as someone who dabbles at almost everything ( okay maybe, but for me you almost excel in everythng). And therefore it shows how well he 'uses' his urge to explore every side of himself. No constraints whatsoever. 3. Honesty : Give him a minute to define himself, he might just do it within seconds, or may end up saying nothing at all for minutes ! His honesty about himself is something to die for <3 4. Inspires millions : Call it a mere co-incidence or the influence of his own virtues to the role of Mohan Bhatnagar, but he has ended up being an inspiration ON-SCREEN as well as OFF-SCREEN for many many viewers. Whether Mohan influenced Kunal or Kunal influenced Mohan, its difficult to say. But whichever way it was - it TOUCHED LIVES :) 5. Make a wish! : Well, this is the message which this guy gives to me every second. I learnt it from Mohan (and ofcourse Kunal). Rerk Sanghan is most possibly the best lakorn of the year so far, of course comparing to the ones I’ve watched this year.

For me it’s a breath taking thriller, mystery lakorn. It’s a bit slow burning drama, and time time you may get bored.

As this is not a traditional slap kiss drama, it might not take get the popularity it deserves..

if you are into Astrology, Mysticism, this lakorn is up your street.

So the plot is a girl found buried in a strange way, and this took the attention Maha Krating (Sean Jindachote) a young man who is an Astrologer. He realises that the ancient rite is performed in order to change the city’s fate to benefit someone who wants to take over the city. (think of evil tying to take over the good, changing someone’s fortune) For this they have to sacrifice four women that represent Earth, Water, Air and Fire elements who must also have exact same birth date, month and year, but different birth hours. All the girls are Leos but their ascending / rising sign is different. (that’s calculated by the time of your birth)

Earth Jupiter Saturn Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn)ruled by Venus Moon Mars

I don't want anything to happen to Sareen (Two Popetorn Soonthornyanakij) Run’s brother a police inspector, Chingduang (CSI) (Sakakorn Pitchanart) or Run (as she’s a candidate, one of the next victims) She’s also trying to make a replica of the fragrance found on the victims body and vagina, after rape they spray from that fragrance also put some into their hair.

By EP6 they have already started the auspicious ceremony to kill the 2nd victim. We’ll learn that our suspicions are correct on the culprit as from we learn the ID when his mask comes off.. That’s P’Wee (Penkul Penpeth) who was married to Maha’s sister Kritika (Charm Irvin Osathanond)and later divorces her telling her that he wants to have children, although she had told him that she’s weak and she can’t have children, she is currently in hospital as a cancer patient

That explains some stuff about Maha's family, stolen items etc. Don't forget that we don't have one culprit,

Burglary (which was not actually a burglary, that manual has been given to Autti and other guy by P'Wee, his fathers death, his aunts marriage to P'wee, why, by who and for what reason his father was killed. and how all the big ones in the government is involved and they are covering up for each other for more power." Don't forget that we don't have one culprit, we have 4, 4 elements, 4 culprits, 4 Victims, if we count Autti (Patiparn Pataweekarn) who actually finds and kills the girls 5..

And we learn that our suspicions are correct on the culprit as from we learn the ID when his mask comes off.. That explains some stuff about Maha's family, stolen items etc.

It all started with the elections where nobody was giving a chance to P’Wee to win the elections, everyone was thinking that Thun Benjawan will be the new major. The bad wants to rule the city to be able to that they need to the rituals to change the city’s fortune, and the manual was stolen from Maha’s house which he inherited from his grandfather 7 years ago. So from this we can say P’Wee wants to be the prime minister and Maha confirms this as well.

I believe Maha is going to solve this crime with the help of Khun Benjawan, as she handed out some evidence that proved this suspicious about P’Wee, evidence.

Maha and his family never suspected from him before because he was shot as well, well watching lakorns for so many years and when I saw Penkul as one of the casts it didn’t took me long time to suspect from him and my suspicious arouse when I saw him in reds during the auspicious ceremony and when his mask came off it was bingo.

Also he arranged his own assassination during a TV panel, and after the 2nd murders so he thinks nobody will suspect from him

He also asks Khun Benjawan to warn the girls born on that specific date to be careful

Maha tells his family about his suspicions and findings, ofcourse his sister was so upset as she still likes P’Wee (hope nothing happens to her, P’Wee won’t try to kill her)

For power P’Wee got married with Maha’s sister, he stole the thing he needed he plotted his own shot, later on got divorced and marry a politicians daughter, it all makes sense now

P’Wee becomes the party leader one step to go to become a prime minister

While he’s busy with those Autti already found his 3rd Victim owner of the flower shop

The first one to congratulate P’Wee was Autti and even offered to come and set up Feng Shui for him, but he doesn’t want people to see Autti, he tells him he doesn’t want people to see him and stop them from reaching their goals

Autti already started to get close to his next victim.

I believe the photographer who is always beside Maha is also playing double, that’s my suspicions I might be wrong

Saranee (Run’s brother, police inspector) is very protective of his sister and he doesn’t want his sister to be with Maha

Either All the girls Autti found , trapped & murdered blind and stupid or I am because I wouldn’t be dating a man like Autti nor trusting him.

Lakorn is very well written, it’s derived from a book, and Sean is pretty much very realistic as an astrologer and to be honest the information they are giving in the lakorn is pretty much legit.

Sexuality: (include a brief explanation) Bisexual - Though I think his sexuality is not something he’s explored as openly or frequently until after his sister’s death. Not that he was purposely avoiding it, but I feel like circumstances were such that he was mostly with women in his younger years. Her death, I think, made him crave a freedom that he didn’t know he needed, much like when he took to the road to try to escape his grief.

How do you interpret this character’s personality? How will you portray them? Include two weaknesses and two strengths. (2+ paragraphs) Wells to me is a passionate and loyal individual who, despite being friendly and easy to get along with, is a lot more private and reserved than people think on first impression. I think his outgoing nature makes it difficult for people to see or understand that just because he’s outgoing, doesn’t mean he’s an extrovert. His ‘recharge’ time is when he’s alone or at home, in a controlled environment, and one of the reasons his relationship with his sister was so vital in his life, aside from them being twins, is that she was one of the few people he felt utterly himself and comfortable with at all times. He believes she brought out the best in him, and since her death, has struggled to know exactly who he is without her. His loyalty and pensiveness can make him sweet, at times, and he means well, always. But he is also deeply nested inside his chest, distraught with a loneliness he doesn’t quite know how to handle or deal with. He is extremely protective of those he cares about, and much like his mechanic ways, he is a 'fixer’. He likes to understand problems, especially those of others, and have his hand at assisting in correcting them. He likes to help people. How did this character react to the death of Hazel Abrams? Adam Foxcroft? Wells is naturally contemplative and cerebral. He tends not to react to things heatedly, but with pensiveness. Hazel died before he arrived in the town, and I don’t think he thought that much of it at fist because it makes sense that unexplained deaths would linger as a big deal in small towns where everyone knows each other. But when Adam died, I think that struck Wells with a new sort of suspicion, being able to witness the ripple effect reaction of the town in the aftermath. The fact that Hazel’s case was still unsolved, and that Adam turned up in the same manner, Wells is starting to become suspicious and he knows there is something unique to the town, and that there’s much more than meets the eye. He’s curious and wants to understand what’s going on and what’s behind this little town he’s landed himself in.

How do they see the town and its people? Think about the different groups of people and prejudices the town holds about them. He has a hard time identifying with the problems of the town. His life has involved so much changing and moving around between foster homes, etc, that he has a hard time adjusting to the mentality of people who’ve never known or seen change. Who live so much in fear of it. Regardless, he doesn’t have particularly strong feelings about the church or religion. He was not raised religious, and is a bit too much of a critical thinker to be particularly prone to faith. However, that isn’t to say he doesn’t like the townspeople. When he first moved, he was relatively indifferent, but now he is both drawn to and fears them, in a way. There is something about the town and the people that makes him feel connected to them, yet almost entrapped. He feels a part of something bigger, but he knows there is information just beyond his reach, and for now the puzzle pieces are too scattered and incomplete for him to have a strong grasp on the big picture of Foxcroft.

Considering the nature of Well’s new 'ability’, it’s not something he noticed right away, and even still he is only just beginning to realize that there might be something going on with him that he can no longer attribute to coincidence or good karma. Due to being a new arrival to the town, and knowing so few people, it took a few months for any circumstance to arise in which he’d accidentally happen upon his healing ability. However, he first noticed it in a way that was more difficult to shrug off, when he was helping a kid up who’d slipped and fallen on his bike just outside the Wicked Wrench. The kid had bloodied up his knees pretty bad, and when Wells was wiping them off with a warm, wet rag, carefully cleaning pebbles form the wound, suddenly it seemed as though the cuts were much less prominent than he’d thought. There was barely any abrasion, and the blood seemed to be coming from a cut so minor, it hardly made sense. He swore just a moment ago it’d been a gash… unless it’d simply been the blood smeared that had made it look that way…. it wasn’t until after the kid had left and Wells had stepped back into the garage that he noticed his own jeans were red at the knees… He doesn’t know what’s going on with him, but somehow, it doesn’t feel like he’s an exception in this town of the unexplained. He feels very much as though whatever is going on, is linked to where he’s currently living, and he’s just waiting for the other shoe to drop. He can feel it coming.

Please include 1-2 possible plots your see for this character (1 paragraph brief explanation for each) I think the fact that he’s a 'healer’ when he didn’t have the power or the chance to save his sister, will wreck him. No doubt that went into the decision making when you made him a wryth. But anyway, that fact is one of the first things that gave me a hit of inspiration for this character. This is probably something that nags at him daily and plagues his nightmares, because it’s bad enough losing your twin and your only anchor in the world, but suddenly obtaining an unforseen power to heal, only it’s too late? I would like to explore this with him extensively, and I can see it kind of breaking him, to a certain degree. Like he could become obsessive with it, to the point of almost putting himself in the hospital, because he’s getting reckless with his healing. I’d also like to explore how it affects his psyche—to have the POWER to heal, but to not be ABLE to because it might kill him is like a certain kind of torture, especially for someone like Wells, and I think that this could really mess him up, and badly affect his relationships and decision making. Connected with that, I can also see him trying to take matters into his own hands to do with getting to the bottom of these mysterious deaths, etc. Partially because he’s desperate for the distraction, to keep himself from thinking about his continued grief, and partially because for some reason he thinks it might give him a sense of relief, that he’s helped or avenged someone, even if it could never bring his sister back.

SAMPLE EXCERPT 1 - Derrick

Everything was oddly lethargic today. Although, perhaps lethargic wasn’t the word. Perhaps a better description would be slow with a false sense of relaxation. A certain kind of conceding to the feeling of sadness that now coated his throat in a gradual, thick drip. Something he was now used to, or getting there, at least; a new phase to the turning down of his mouth. He’d waded through anguish, thrashed through anxiety and now he was treading water warmed by his own movement. Disturbed sand from a distant bottom he could not see churned beneath his feet and made his skin and toes feel gritty. The darkness of the lake he was trying not to drown in remained more or less as impenetrable as ever, but Derrick now found solace in its darkness. Familiarity with his hurt; it was an unlikely friendship they had now, he and pain, but this was the way it was. This was the way it had to be because he would not change anything, should he had ever been given the chance.

He straightened the collar of his shirt in the cracked and crying mirror, its grunge too thick to see through. The tremble of his fingers against his neck was slight this morning, and he took a moment to stroke at the smoothness of his clean shaven skin. The normalcy of it brought him comfort, cleanliness, control.

A control he would not lose again; not this time, and not in this way. He would go downstairs and meet his lawyer for the third time within these walls, shake his hand and thank him for coming. He would find Lukas on the way down, perhaps, and smile like nothing had changed or there had been no clicking of new concepts in his head. Or rather, perhaps that was wrong; perhaps the smile would just be with a new surrendering, to the knowledge that this was the way things were, and the loss of his ignorance would not stop him from picking up where he’d left off. He’d continue with the case, he’d move forward in his complicated relationship with the sociopath he’d never anticipated growing close to. He’d continue with the same ease and intuition as he had while adjusting the cuffs of his sleeve, the same simple fact that was his sorrow. Because these things were what brought him closer to ‘Derrick’, and further from his father. These were the things he clung to, because what world with no one to live for was worth living in?

His love for Oliver made him stronger, his empathy for Lukas, courageous. His dissonance with Allison made him human. And somehow, he would make peace with these things. Because changing them was not an option, had never been.

He left his room, his doubts lingering at his fingers and sticking back on the scuffing of the doorknob like invisible prints. He would not need them today—more accurately, he could not afford them. The click of the latch behind him was the precursor to the click of his shoes down the quiet hall on this otherwise uneventful Saturday. And then, two steps, three steps, there was something similar, an echo of his own departure and he turned around to see black hair, fine limbs looking stiff in even stiffer clothing—a hesitant smirk of disdain and perhaps even what Derrick has come to read as friendly greeting. Well, as friendly as this particular teenage presence got. But Derrick liked that he could recognize it now, the varied levels of Lukas’ often overlooked depth. It was there, just murkier and more challenging to define.

And he smiled. Rose a brow and prepared a sly quip or two about the teen’s cleaned up attire. Because it was familiar. Because it was safe. And because Derrick was tired of wallowing in things he could not, and would not change.

Because if and when the worst thing he did in this sick and twisted world, was to love too freely, then he could consider himself in a good place. And if he had the capacity to believe in the case that he and Lukas ventured to tackle, he must also have the capacity to embrace what he could not shun. It was the only way. And it was better.

As Phoenix ordered Noah onto his hands and knees, muttered in a low and hot command, Noah thought about how dangerous this could be. Having Phoenix move in, be here on the good nights as well as the bad, experience Noah in his extended, uncensored edition. He thought about how unlike him this was, this decision, because having Phoenix around full time meant committing to him in some way. It meant admitting that he was something more than just a random fuck, regardless of what that ‘more’ even meant.

It was dangerous, and he felt sure he would many a time in the future consider this choice to be a lapse in judgement—and yet, he couldn’t bring himself to regret it, as much as he wanted to. He wanted to seriously feel like he’d made a mistake, wanted to have that inkling suspicion that this was all wrong because that would then eliminate the risk of Noah’s future let downs. If he regretted it now, he’d be less likely to find himself terrifyingly close to someone three months from now, in a way he hadn’t been in years.

He was pretty sure he wasn’t ready for that. He’d hardly been capable of it even before her death. Felt most times like he hadn’t been wired to function that way.

But nonetheless, he couldn’t bring himself to feel precisely the emotion of regret as Phoenix fucked him raw and without shame into the headboard. As he bent his limbs with the kind of brutal insistence that would leave bruises and sore spots, muscles strained and stretched uncomfortably for the evening and the day following, in the least. He couldn’t gather any feelings that weren’t numbed, ecstatic pleasure, white hot and sharp, as Phoenix pounded him so thoroughly it became difficult to breathe, difficult to tell exactly where inside his body Phoenix wasn’t touching. Because he seemed to be consuming Noah from every end, every angle—burrowing himself inside Noah’s body so deeply and so thoroughly that there was no escaping him, no part of Noah’s narrow, bony frame that went unclaimed by him.

And it was numbing. And it was fucking perfect.

And that’s how he fell asleep that night. Perfectly numbed and completely obliterated with exhaustion—worked to the bone by Phoenix’s nails and teeth and pelvis, worked until there was absolutely nothing left of himself to give and he laid there in a mess of sheets, wrung out and winded, passing out sometime after Phoenix had cum inside him for the second time.

He had a vague memory of the blond leaving breathless kisses on his shoulders, but then the rest sort of faded to black.

He’d slept hard—so hard he hadn’t moved—fell asleep on his stomach with his hands under the pillows, his head turned away from the heat of the man beside him, not by choice so much as by habit. And when he would wake, a few hours later, it would be in the very same position—but it would not be before Noah remembered the way the roof shingles felt textured and rough beneath the heels of his palms, not before he could taste that half-smoked joint on his tongue.

They were laughing, again, as they often did, and it was that sort of lazy, rolling chuckle that came from being completely and totally relaxed around a person, as if being with them was equally as natural as breathing. And Noah was leaning back on his elbows, the scratch of the roof almost a comfort purely for its familiarity, and the stars were bright spots in the sky that had been just the same as last night, and the night before that, and the night before that.

And she was talking—she’d talked a lot, actually, and she was the only person whose talking hadn’t bothered Noah in the slightest, maybe because it came out sounding so smoothly to him, like her thoughts were the same as his thoughts, even when they weren’t. She’d had so many wildly different opinions, and even when he hadn’t agreed with them, he’d felt them in some way, as if… as if they’d lived inside a part of Noah too, even when they weren’t his own. They belonged there, too, because they were Kaitlyn’s and because she was as much a part of him as he was of her.

He remembered so vividly; the sound of her laugh and the abrasion of the tar and dried rubber beneath them—and then she was falling, kicked off the roof by some unknown force and he couldn’t reach her, couldn’t stop her, could do nothing to change it other than sit there helplessly and watch as she was torn from him and fell and fell and fell like there was no earth beneath them, no nothing, and suddenly he was falling too, only in the other direction, yanked away from her by the gut at a horrific speed, falling like the very essence of gravity, because his up was now down and no amount of thrashing could stop it, could stop any of it, she was just going, going and going and she would never hit the ground, Noah doomed to watch her fall away from him for eternity.

He woke in a sweat and with a gasp that was more like a choke—he didn’t know there were tears on his face until he felt them, sticky and wet against his palms as he tried to quell his heartbeat into something less violent, something less debilitating. He’d shot up, face falling to his hands, sitting bowed and broken-spined away from Phoenix, who he could now hear stirring behind him and this was why, this was why he couldn’t do this, couldn’t have this because he would always be this—this barely functioning toy marked 'as-is’ whirring and stopping and going and ticking in unmediated tempos, half-hazard patterns, and he couldn’t bare the fact that he was a cracking shell, somewhere between empty and overflowing, and that the young blond would get to watch his crumbling, night after night after night after fucking night, and he couldn’t fucking do this—

—he couldn’t breathe, either.

It was like his chest was gasping for air but each swallow was pulsing back into a curved spine, bouncing off ribs and ricocheting back out. Leaving Noah with no oxygen, no air, and he couldn’t breathe he couldn’t function and he’d been here before, time and time again and he usually waited until the worst of it passed before willing himself onto wobbly legs to get himself water. Run his head under the tap when he couldn’t manage anything more. But Phoenix was there and Noah was not, he was gone, somewhere far away, tangled and choking and compressed and every movement was an ache, every slight, an ignition for his head to spin so fast he thought he might puke and he just needed air and maybe then, if his God damn lungs would start fucking working for fuck’s sake, he would be able to get to the part where he could deal with the crying bit—that is, stop it a-fucking-mmediately. But he couldn’t, he couldn’t do that until he caught his God damn breath, and with every moment he was more awake but no more coherent, no more capable.

All because he’d been forced to remember, when all he wanted was to forget.

How would you feel about this character dying?: (In this roleplay there is always the possibility of death, and as an admin I’d like to know who is and who isn’t comfortable with this ahead of time.)

I’m mostly pretty uncomfortable with it, because I get excruciatingly close to my characters, and the idea of them getting killed off really freaks me out. I get pretty vulnerable with the characters I write. That being said, if for whatever reason in the future, I was interested in switching characters but staying in the RP, I’d consider it? But that depends, because I have a hard time with personal character deaths haha.

Why did you choose this character?:

I connected with Wells immediately, partly due to the fact that I’ve written a character in a very similar situation as him before. Admittedly, they have very different personalities, and I’d neverdream of playing them the same way, but still, it was a character who is nestled desperately deep in my heart, so I connected with Wells’ story quickly. Also, I connect with his sense of loneliness, and his independence. His desire to just drive and see where the road takes him. Function on impulse getting from gas station to gas station and make up the rules as he goes along. He strikes me as someone who is strong and loyal and someone who people like to be around because of this, but underneath he carries this darkness with him that he hasn’t yet properly faced. The layers and potential in his bio and his story truly inspire me <3

Megaman 11 Review

Megaman has always been a game that I never really thought of playing but never really did because it just didn't seem like a game I'd like, but with Megaman 11 I got in like a Strange Family on Christmas. And with the multiple Difficulty Settings I felt like I was allowed without the Game Pushing me back with it's notorious Difficulty. This being my First ever playing of a Megaman Game, I decided to play on the Newcomer and even then the game was sorta hard with some levels, most likely because this is the first time I've ever played Megaman.

{WARNING} This review shows talks about The Mini Bosses, Stages, and Bosses in the Entire Game. You have been Warned

-Block Man Block Man is one of the best forms of showing all the options and wealth of Abilities you already have without beating the other Bosses. Not only do you have the Power Gear and Speed Gear, but you also have the Regular Mega Buster but you also have Rush Coil to get certain collectables that would be out of reach, just by that one inch. But This is one of the Things with Megaman, With every good thing a bad thing happens. Block Man's Level Design is brilliant and shows what to expect in the Future but with the Mini Boss it's so different from any other boss that it doesn't teach anything. But besides that We go to the First Boss and Holy Shit it doesn't feel like the First Boss. This feels like the 2nd Phase of Calamity Ganon of BoTW. Why does he go so big, Yes he is using the Power Gear but why does it matter if it doesn't show an actual representation of what it does and even then why is there no real force saying like "Hey Use the Power Gear to Finish the Fight Quicker" or "Hey use the Speed Gear to Get past the Objects being thrown at you!" The First Time fought Block Man I barely used the Power Gear. But the First Phase and The Last Phase feels like a Good Fight, however the 2nd Phase is Shit. And the Power Up you get OOOOOOOO it feels so Over powered when you first get it, even with the Power Gear it feels like something I shouldn't have or that I should have at the end of the game. -Acid Man Acid Man is just a Mediocre Stage, Terrible Boss, and a Shit Powerup. Like Holy Shit this Powerup is absolute Garbage, you basically always need to use the Speed Gear when using because Megaman puts up a shield before shooting, you'd think this is good but he's Vulnerable when the animation of him putting up the shield is playing, and even then the actual firing is slow and doesn't do a lot of damage without the Power Gear, And the Speed Gear needs to be Active so then You won't get hit! Why Give me the option to protect myself if I die before I can use the Ability? That Makes no fucking sense! And it doesn't help Acid Man because His stage is so Creative and Introduced in such a good way, but Why am I playing it if the Payout if Absolute Trash? And you don't even know the Powerup before you get beat Acid Man, Which If you play on Casual or Higher, it just feels like a Chore. And the Actual Stage Design is just filled to the brim with NES Era Horse Shit, even when playing on Newcomer. In Casual hitting Spikes is just a Cheap 1 Hit Kill. And Finally the Boss Battle...Who Made this? I'm Being Fucking Serious Who Made this? This Boss, is so Fucking Shit, His Attacks always hit if you aren't using Speed Gear, And he even uses Speed Gear Himself for his 2nd Phase and it's so Hard to Dodge, Acid Man is just NES Shit that I fucking Hate, you know when you're playing Mega Man and you think "This Stinks" THAT'S ACID MAN...jeez Fuck You Acid Man. -Blast Man Blast Man doesn't feel like he should be in a Mega Man game, he feels like he should be in a Universal Ride, like actually in a god damn ride. However his stage is sorta good with Powerups like Block Man are really effective on this stage and can be breezed by really quickly with Block Man's Powerup with the Power Gear. Even the Mini Boss feels like a Ride because IT IS ONE, HOLY CRAP THEY KNEW! Jesus that was an Amazing Mini Boss teaching you how to use the Speed Gear Effectively. Now to Blast Man, His Boss Fight is, Forgettable. I had to look up Blast Man on YouTube because I just didn't remember how his Fight went. However, his Powerup is anything but Forgettable. The regular Firing is just Useless and I've never used it without the Power Gear, and Jesus the Powerup with the Power Gear, It's amazing and is really useful for Future Bosses. Great Boss Fight, Ok Powerup, and an Alright Stage. -Bounce Man Bounce Man is such a strange thing, or man. It isn't even a man it's voiced by a Woman which is kinda Funny. But as Much as I want to call a woman strange but it's not because of that. The Stage is so different from anything else in this Game, this feels like what the game should've been. Block Man could've been a basic stage, Blast Man could've been Fast and Pushing you around with Explosives and then you could have the same experience with the Mini Boss and Blast Man Himself and Vise Versa with the other Bosses. The entire stage is filled with Balloons and you're forced to bounce on it, everything except the Boss..place? I don't Know. But God, Bounce Man's Powerup is one of the best in the game next to Block Man. Without this Powerup a lot of the Bosses wouldn't be as easy as they are. And Bounce Man has the weakness of one the worst attacks in the Game, Impact Man's Powerup. But other then that Bounce Man has an Annoying Stage but It can be Fun in some aspects but it can also feel like a Chore, same thing with the Mini Boss as well but nothing much to say in that Category. -Tundra Man Tundra Man has a Pretty Basic Stage, nothing much to say there although throughout the Adventure I'd normally barely use the Speed Gear NOW I use it way too much where I find myself slipping all the time into Pits. Good thing I played on Newcomer cause if I played on something harder (I am Currently in a Playthrough of Casual Mode, this Message for even Harder Difficulties) then I'd go fucking insane and through this game in the trash. I vividly remember the Mini Boss and Jesus, Why is Fire Weak against Ice? People complain about how shit the "Rock, Paper, Scissor" Mechanic is in Megaman games but HOLY SHIT, I just find it amazing that this Ice is the same Ice that makes Reggieice from Pokemon. And Jesus H. Christ! I LOVE Tundra Man's Personality! It reminds me of MTT from Undertale: So Elegant, So Fashionable, His Spinning Moves are the Moves of GODS. I wanna see Tundra Man again in later Megaman Games. -Impact Man Impact Man is really forgettable and very Frustrating your first boss fight with him. But after the first fight, He can be dealt with easily. The Mini Boss is just Piss, Mid way through my (Casual) Playthrough I defeated it in almost a Second because of Block Man's Powerup along with the Power Gear. And the Actual stage is like playing a Sonic 1 Water Stage, Mess up once: Go ALL the way back to the Bottom. Just An Annoying Man and I don't know why he's even a boss here. -Torch Man Torch Man is a Sick, Practical, and Horrible Joke made by the Nazi's, If you say this is a Good Stage and it teaches something, then you are Super Hitler Satan. The stage is just one big Chase. The Mini Boss is just the Fire Bird from Sonic Unleashed and The actual Fight is just PISS. And Torch Man looks like a JoJo Reject. Fuck Torch Man. -Fuse Man Fuse man is one of those Characters you sorta look at and say "Oh Shit." Just from a Glance of His Face you know it's gonna be serious. And Serious it is, The Stage looks like a Batman Anime Intro: Dark, Serious, Gloomy, THUNDER! Great Stuff. Fuse Man's Stage actually feels like a Modern Megaman Stage, while the others feel like their a Grandfather hung over by too much NES Horseshit Crack, Fuse man always Looks, Sounds, and Plays like Something New, Thank You Capcom, Very Cool. The Mini Boss is...Meh, Don't feel like I should really say anything about it for some reason. Though What I will say, Is that the Speed Gear was Very Useful (When Replaying In Classic Mode) when I didn't understand the pattern. The Actual Boss fight with Fuse Man was something Brand New, Using the Speed Gear and it shows a very clear Demonstration of what the Speed Gear can do. And even using the Speed Gear yourself is the way you can clearly counter him. And it's overall just a very Fun and Different Boss Fight that feels like what all the bosses should've been.

-Misc. Everything that isn't already in the main game is extremely Boring and Very Forgettable. After playing the game for the first time I went to the Extra Modes and even going to the shop is very Forgettable and through my first playthrough I didn't even know it was a thing. It should've been somethin said through cutscenes or something ________________________________________________________________ {SPOILERS} This Part of Review shows off the Entire Last Part of The Game.

-Final Levels All the levels in Gear Fortress, The Final Stage Selection, is really just a Mini Boss Collection with the Iconic Yellow Devil and some weird Tentacle Monster. After that, We get to my Favorite part of the Game. Here you get to fight Every Single Man In The GAME. You get EVERYONE! Block Man, Acid Man, Blast man, Bounce Man, Tundra Man, Impact Man, Torch Man, and Fuse Man. Here you just know the Weaknesses of Everybody. Tundra Man Freezes Torch Man, Bounce Man's Stage is filled with Balloons, Impact Man has Drills for Hands, So it'd make Since Impact Man beats him. I love it when Video Games do this, Right before everything ends, You get to see all the faces that tried so hard to defeat you, and you body them once more. -Final Boss The Final Boss is Dr.Wily, how surprising for a Megaman Game. And here Dr.Wily has 2 Phases, and He seems so serious. He brings out a God Damn Helicopter Indoors, What the Hell Wily. Here Multiple Powerups that would normally seem useless are very good here. Blast Man's, Impact Man's, Fuse Man's, Hell even Acid Man's Powerup can be very useful in this boss fight. Both Speed Gear and Power Gear are used basically the entire Boss Fight. The 2nd Phase is VERY Serious, Here Dr.Wily doesn't plan on losing. Here he uses Both the Speed Gear and the Power Gear at the same. Most Powerups are used Here with Tundra Man's, Fuse Man's, Block Man's, Torch Man's, and Bounce Man's Powerup can be used for so long here. Finally Defeating Dr.Wily he talks about a Plan B, which is just him pleading. Dr.Wily gets away and Every Robot Master is Found. And there Megaman 11 ends. ______________________________________________________________________________________________

-Final Rating Megaman 11 is a great Megaman Game, especially for my First Megaman Game. Though however when Megaman 11 feels annoying, feels repetitive, feels rage inducing, feels boring, feels bad it REALLY feels like all of those things. Though when having Fun, the Game feels very Fun and Addictive.

Sunday, 2nd of october 2005

I lost my shoes in last night's dream. I exited a plane and realized: "I am barefoot! My shoes aren't here… I must have forgotten them!"

I spoke with someone who worked for the airline, but he didn't know a thing about my shoes. I couldn't even remember when I lost them. When did I take them off? Perhaps I never wore them to begin with.

As I panicked, I traveled from place to place looking for my shoes; yet, none of these locations shared a border or had any means of physical connection. I simply was there, then in another place, and then another.

...and then the exam started! I suddenly remembered! I had to take that exam!

Was it a trial exam? An entrance exam? I had no clue! And even though the exam had started, I kept looking for my shoes. I gave up on taking the exam, but not on looking for my shoes. Everything became unclear... why I lost my shoes... memory weakened.

And on that subject, why was I even on that plane? Where was I going?

Feeling confined, constricted, I woke up.

It was an unpleasant dream. My body felt heavy.

I took a morning drive to prevent the battery in the car from weakening. I listened to my new music while I drove: The Tears and H.I.M.

My musical tastes aren't eclectic. I rarely listen to metal with the exception of the band Apocalyptica. Metal's aesthetic displeases me completely: the cover art, the logos, the fashion, the overall art design... even the music itself. I need more than just the music itself to think well of metal. I need to enjoy the cover art, the logotype, the fashion, and the art design; the total aesthetic counts.

Please understand, I don't mean that metal music is absolutely bad. I simply don't enjoy it.

Yet many people in Kojima Productions are fans of metal music, especially those who were born in the 1970's. They listen to metal quite a lot.

Maybe it's a simple matter of a generation gap. Shin-chan and Toyopy are practically experts in metal. Their generation traveled along the road of trends that took music from progressive to metal. My generation listened to progressive music at the same time that we encouraged punk rock onward. I suppose that makes people of my generation a little twisted!

A world of difference exists between two generations.

H.I.M.'s new album has some catchy melodies, so I found it pleasant to listen to. It is closer to the Romantic movement in hard rock during the 1980's than to metal. I expect that the group will have many female fans.

This will be their fifth album, even though it's their debut release in Japan. I was surprised by the introduction to the music on the first track. It's practically like listening to Goblin itself!

H.I.M. is from Finland, as is Apocalyptica. Music from Northern Europe is simple and sentimental... so pure, it's almost rural, provincial. In order to survive in such a harsh and cold environment, the people seek music that connects directly to the soul and the mind.

I read an article about Maruzen closing its business in yesterday's Asahi Journal Evening Edition. It claims that many people are leaving lemons in the department store, just like the main character in Motojiro Kajii's short story titled LEMON. Coincidentally, I learned that many people are buying LEMON from the bookstore inside Maruzen.
