he would be overprotective! though im not entirely sure how the shift from 'nobody is allowed to hurt my kid' overprotectiveness to "is this bashful mess IN LOVE with MY kid?!' overprotectiveness would go, i think maybe he would go through some 12+ stages of grief before settling on a way to react.

as for law and luffy themselves, their relationship is going to be a bit different since law is still on his suicide mission and luffy doesnt have the physical power necessary to help anyone.
