Welcome to March Graphics ! A graphics, resources and designs kind of blog. A blog dedicated to my journey in design and graphics, and hopefully creating some cute and beautiful templates for you to use ! I don't have a permanent brand or brand style yet, but I thought I would change the vibe and colour scheme with every holiday or season: Spring/Summer, Halloween/Autumn, Christmas/Winter. That way I, hopefully, will be able to give you a sort of brand-new look every so often while still using the same theme ! I'll be trying to share everything I create, and make sure you guys can follow my journey as I grow and learn.

As much as I love to create without a degree, I know I can expand my knowledge as a graphic designer by actually getting a degree that will allow me to either self-employ myself or work for a company.

Meaning, this blog will most likely be used as a side project once I do work for someone else. Or, be used as a portfolio to showcase what I do and use social media as a whole to make sure my work gets out there. Which would mean I would probably need a website at one point too.

But !

Before we get to that point, I'm mostly planning on taking commissions, learning to hone my skills and simply create for fun and showcase to you guys ! If I do showcase it to you guys ? What can you expect to see ?

As said before I want to hone my skills so that means, at times, I'll be challenging myself. But for now, you can definitely expect the following to be shown on this blog:

What do I use to make these ?

Well... Since upgrading my Computer to a gaming one from a laptop, I can now be active in Photoshop CC ! So I can use Photopea for minor edits, use GIMP as well, but mostly I will be using Photoshop CC.

My processor is an AMD Ryzen 7, so I'm hoping it'll all go smoothly ! Until my processor or storage (RAM I think) needs an upgrade !

For my chosen product I would like to have a variety of clothing this will include long -short dresses jumpsuits and co- ords in all sizes available . Some of these outfits will be occasion wear however I do want to look into making outfits for the day too, this lines up with my core values for the business as I would want my customers to feel good in their clothes all day round. Mintel finds that more than one in three (38%) Brits agree they struggle to find clothes that fit them well, rising to half (49%) of UK women aged 16- 44. My clothing line will cater to a needs such as above average quality but at a good price, I will make sure material used will be as durable as possible so it can last the customer a while making it reliable and valuable to them. My clothing line will be size inclusive meaning my sizes will start from 4- 32, giving the chance of for everyone no matter what size they are to explore their creativity and feel confident and valued in my clothing. There a few brands that aren’t size inclusive which drives customers away and gives them a bad imagine for not including everyone, these include brands such Top shop disappointingly, just 3.3% of Topshop’s online products are plus-size friendly, with their range of clothing only reaching up to size 18 online, Urban outfitters despite previous plus-size controversy, Urban Outfitters rank as the worst for their variety of plus-size dresses (1%). I personally disagree with brands that aren’t size inclusive because it gives to impression of discrimination towards bigger sizes, we should move closer to the future of acceptance towards all sizes

My clothes are most likely continuity products as they are dresses and co ords which are in fashion all year round so demand won’t fluctuate as much this is due to occasions such as parties,festivals, brunch ect. However I am aware that the demand for my clothes will be higher during summer doing and autumn compared to winter due to how the are designed

I have done further research into other brands and how their products reviews done by consumers and I found for meshki that they have cheap quality considering their prices range from £60 - £105 and on top of that their clothing doesn’t match their pictures they’ve presented on the website which results in customer dissatisfaction, their customer service is known to be bad which doesn’t line up with their values. For Oh Polly I found that they match expectations when it comes to quality consumers describe it as “hugs the figure” and the material feels “good”, oh Polly clothes have 95% polyester which is good for high strength and durability meaning it’s worth it’s value as most likely going to last the consumer long. However they have limited sizes available only up to 8-10, which is something I want to avoid when determining my own sizes. House of cb I found that customers like their packaging but in the other hand their material comes too thin making the clothes transparent.

When developing my structure of my clothing I realised there is a big difference in style within the brands oh Polly and finesse and that is oh Polly is very mainstream and tends to follow trends but however finesse is outside of that it brings in new alternatives styles and formats when it comes to developing their website for example they use ai to generate their clothes and present them which is something that you don’t see a lot of brands do, this made me think that I want my brand to be on that side of thinking of the next best thing instead of following trend after trend. Which is why I decided to look into ai models to represent my brand
