💅 1 week update on the imPRESS Press-On Manicure set, left hand with nail glue still intact. Right hand, the one with the self-adhesive has small gaps in the cuticle area. As you can see in the bottom right corner pic the index has a bigger gap than the others. Gonna keep them on until they start to pop off to see how long they will last. I’m conflicted on this product, I will list my personal pro’s and cons as well as my overall opinion on these.

Cons:

NOT long-wearing as they claim (2 weeks?). I had a nail pop off after a few hours of wear without being loose before hand.

Sharp edges (scratched my friends arm while only gesturing slightly).

Brittle (one nail snapped in half as I was trying to remove the plastic backing covering the adhesive).

Pros:

No chipping issues.

Easy application (both hands took me less than 5 minutes).

Fun designs.

I had high hopes for these, having used press-on manicures in the past and having nails pop off for no rhyme or reason. These weren’t any different. I put the nails on before leaving for a concert last night, they seemed to be holding up well - weren’t feeling loose or getting knocked off. Although while trying to peel the plastic covering the glue off to put a nail on, the nail snapped in half - strike number one. Then, after only wearing them for a mere matter of hours, I simply picked up a throw pillow to toss across the room at the end of the night and a nail popped off and sailed away with it. I’ll use the other set for a special occasion but I’ll remember to bring the spares along - but I won’t be purchasing this product. Plus the sharp tags on the edges of the nails drove me absolutely nuts, caused me to accidentally scratch my friends arm.

Overall, I enjoy the product but don’t expect much from it. I would recommend these for a “one night only” type wear, maybe if you have no time to do your nails before attending a wedding or birthday party, etc. These would be perfect. Maybe another day or so after that if you’re not overly active or working. But no longer than that, I don’t personally think these would be suited as a substitute for nail polish.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

I guess I need to get started somehow? I've been looking for an excuse to start a "blog" - so what better way than to start with this review? 

Just over a week ago I received this awesome package in the mail via #influenster and #broadwaynails. About a month after signing up for this site, I was selected to get a free product to try and review! WOW! Product number 1 - some awesome press on nails!

Let me say I was a little skeptical about them... they remind me of those plastic nails you used to get when you were a kid... that you stuck on with that cheap nail glue. They never lasted more than a couple hours. These were very similar - at first!

Literally took me 2 minutes to apply them. Peel off the plastic and stick right on your nails. Simple! Comes with a ton of nail options, so theres a size for every nail! I put them on before work, and that same day I got numerous compliments on my manicure and my nail colour (was a deep pink colour). It looks like I paid a lot and got a nice mani! Little does everyone know... (it was free this time) but for around $10 you could have the same!

My skepticism quickly faded away as they lasted not 1. Not 2. Not 5. But NINE WHOLE DAYS! The package says "lasts up to a week". I didn't think that would happen, but I exceeded the anticipated 7 days! No problems. No broken nails. None of them fell off.

Pros of these little beauties: 

They feel natural. I swear they didn't feel like I had fake nails on. They didn't get in the way of anything. I barely noticed them the WHOLE time!

So many sizes to choose from. I bet if I REALLY wanted to... I could get another mani out of the ones I have left....

Colour. AMAZING.

Simplicity of use. SO EASY. Pick your size. Peel. Stick. Walk out the door. Literally.... 2 minutes!

LASTS - I am so impressed with how long they last!

Cheaper than a professions mani and faster (and looks better) than painting your nails yourself!

Cons of these bad boys:

I have naturally long nails... like the bed is naturally long, Even when I have my nails cut as short as they go.... they still look long. (I have nothing to complain about). I had to cut my nails as short as they go and these JUST fit... It cut it close... but they fit! (my pinky nail showed over the top a bit... but it wasn't noticeable).

The glue is only on the bottom half of the nail. So things do get stuck in between your nail and the fake nail at the top... I just used something to pick it out.

A little hard to get off. They are much harder to get off than they are to put on. I used some nail polish remover, but I still had to pull pretty hard. After some effort (not a lot), they came off cleanly!

I would DEF recommend this product. I didn't think it would turn out as good as it did. I am thoroughly "imPRESSed". <-- Get it? ;)

I got these imPRESS Press-On Manicure set a while back, so I decided to give them a try! I believe they are from @kissproducts, this one is in the shade "So, So, Stellar". I applied them to my natural nails 2 ways to see which way lasts longer. My left hand was applied with nail glue; right hand with the self-adhesive it came with.
