Currently searching around for Jekyll and Lanyon makeup ideas.
There is someone who inspired me to do this.
You know who you are.

Hello, hi, first of all, your analysis was excellent. As much as I like Lanyon as a character and tend to ship Jekyon, I still agree with every one of your points, and honestly? Their relationship wasn't healthy. While Jekyon fics and art are still good, Jekyon as it was in canon is very unbalanced; a Scottish immigrant from Glasgow, which historically was considered the slums of Scotland as it was very over-crowded, dirty, had a lot of illness, and a lot of crime, dating a man who is older than him from a very wealthy, well-known, respected family? Not a good set up.
Secondly, I have brought you a dead.. thing. I say thing because it's a Thing AU!! Not sure if you're into horror at all, but I've always been fascinated by movies like The Thing, and shamefully admit that I love seeing depictions of the imposter from Among Us as being a form of parasite similar to the Thing. This AU could be either be sort of horror/comedy with Henry having an almost symbiote-esque relationship with Hyde and having to hide that he is a big scary alien thing that munches on the unsuspecting, maybe with gags like Henry wiping his mouth with a handkerchief after a successful hunt, or it could be more angsty with Henry trying to fight Hyde and the sudden cravings and instincts he has? He starts avoiding everyone and becoming reclusive out of fear he might take a bite out of them. This could either be in a new setting like space or a research facility, etc., or remain in the canon setting of TGS. Thoughts?
It certainly is unbalanced and while it's surely going to end up as one of those rags-to-riches love stories, there is still a lot that both Henry and Robert needs to work on. Even just looking past the dynamic imbalance regarding their upbringing and pasts, neither were ready for the relationship and Robert got intimated by it quite quickly, leaving them both more hurt than before. And even after fourteen years the both of them still love each other. Henry still tries to reach out and Robert keeps pulling back and both refuse to actually face there feelings. I am certainly curious how Sabrina is going to handle all of this <3
I will tell you that the only horror movie I ever watched was Crimson Peak when I was like 9 and I have been traumatised ever since and seeing it suddenly resurfacing bc of the Loki series was reliving trauma I had managed to suppress /j
Since I have never seen The Thing or any Alien movies, I am going to assume this is kinda like the dynamic that Eddie and Venom have, yes? I have not seen that either but that's what I know most about. And I really like that kind of au! I especially like it bc it's kinda already what tgs is, in a way, just more... Ah, aggressive? Horroresque? I sadly think I am unqualified to take on these kinds of aus because I don't know the actual story line of what they are based of and my No Mercy Percy my beloved recently did a (specifically Venom) au like this just a day or so ago, BuTUUT!!! I still love it regardless and I shall day dream about it.
At one point, I love the comedy route and especially because me and my bastard friend have been playing Among us for hours a day recently and I love the thought of Henry having to hide what he (or Hyde) actually is. Would Hyde be like he is in canon, or would he merely be a parasite/alien thingy that has infested and can communicate with Henry, and Henry just... Names him Edward Hyde? It would certainly be fun if he is just doing his thing and Hyde sees a squirrel and immediately wants Henry to take a chomp out of it and Henry just tsks and goes "No, Edward, not in front of people" in his head. At the same time, I do love the angsty possibilities of all of this? Especially if the Lodgers (like Mrs. Cantilupe and Ms. Lavender) would notice and see signs of what's happening to Henry since they work with extremofauna and monsters. Henry refusing to eat in fear of feeding the appetite that Hyde has and essentially starving himself in his office, too scared to move to his actual house in case he would be found or the instincts would get the best of him, knowing the Lodgers are leaving him alone but he doesn't want to take the chance to accidentally eat his servants at home?
Oh my god. Lanyon getting Poole like in the Novella and they just... Break down Henry's office door to see him halfly transformed into some alien-esque creature and he is begging them to leave so he won't hurt them-- <3
