a few more of the plane doodles from my 14hr endeavor in the middle seat.
I'm sure there is some story surrounding these but i don't remember it well.
I think the idea was a modern AU where Imahara Joe is the foster parent of the Milo, Anni, Ashton, and FCG. Ashton and Matilda are best friends. i think the idea was that post briarwoods resurrecting Laudna with their own blood, Laudna joins the family? maybe?
AKA it was a long flight and my brain was all over the place.

doodle while catching up to CR3.
I wonder if there’s a chance to have a guest artificer joining Bells Hells in the future. There are quite a few very memorable artificer NPCs so far, and having an artificer with the party would greatly benefits FCG

on the one hand I think it's beautiful that matt named his character imahara joe after grant imahara
on the other hand i don't think he considered the fact that he'd be making me cry at least once a month about grant imahara

there's something very poetic about an Aeormaton, loosely based on the idea of a real-world robot (and underlying pre-programming), choosing to put their faith in the binary answers given to them by the flip of a coin.
FCG's interpretation and use of 'faith' is so interesting to me. they were given the coin of the Changebringer as a symbol of higher purpose by Imahara Joe who could tell they were struggling with their sense of self and purpose. that struggle has only become more evident after finding out that they do in fact have a soul. that revelation has clearly caused FCG to have a crisis of meaning, during which they seem to be seeking divine faith as a means of externalizing their goals and path going forward.
the Changebringer is literally the goddess of freedom and adventure, encouraging her followers to forge their own paths into the unknown. FCG seems to be interpreting this as her making those paths for her followers and places their full trust in the flip of the medallion to tell them the right thing to do (who to revive, if they should make sacrifices during their attack on the Malleus key).
i know from a gameplay meta standpoint a cleric really needs a divine source for their powers, especially as they continue leveling up and gaining access to more powerful spells. but the fact that FCG is trying to distill whatever information the goddess of unknowns is willing to give them into binary decisions is fascinating and something i really hope we get more in-game conversations about.
