“Welcome to the family.” Derek smiled, hugging Y/n as she and Peter entered the loft having just got back from their honeymoon. Y/n and Derek had been friends since junior high but now she was his sister in law and Derek wasn’t disappointed. “Cora sends her congrats and welcome but she had to leave.”
“Its okay. I already talked to her.” Y/n smiled, waving it off, her and Cora had already talked a few days before. “Its great to finally be apart of the family.” Y/n groaned back at Peter along with Derek.
“Sorry I didn’t want to rush things.” Peter narrowed his eyes at the two.
“You have been in love with her since you were 14. I think you took your damn time.” Derek raised his brows looking at his uncle with an exaggerated look. Even if he was somewhat commatoused for a few years, his uncle still took his damn time.
“I’m just glad you did it to begin with.” Y/n let out a laugh, it was a long time coming.
“It's been a longtime coming.” Peter pulled Y/n, his wife, into his side and kissed her. He could be soft with her.
“There's a pack meeting tonight here at the loft.” Derek told them after their little moment, Y/n is good for his uncle. Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t kill him again to protect her, but she did make him a better person.
“I’ll be there.” Y/n told him.
“Will you?” Derek asked his uncle knowing how much he did not care for the pack.
“Since my wife will be there, yes. I gotta know what I’ll have to protect you from when their plans go wrong.” Peter stated sarcastically. Y/n and Derek just looked at eachother and rolled their eyes.
^ ^ ^
“Your back!” Scott said with a smile rushing over to hug Y/n once the pack entered the loft and saw she was there. They had all missed her.
“You’ve been gone so long.” Allsion said having missed her older friend. Y/n was older than the group of teens, she was the older sister figure of the pack.
“Where’d you go?” Stiles asked.
“Is that a ring on your finger?” Lydia points out having caught the shine of it catching the light.
“You got married?” Allison questioned in shock, having looked down to Y/n’s hand like everyone else after hearing Lydia.
“Yes.” Y/n nodded.
“Without us?” Scott gave her his sad puppy dog eyes.
“We plan on having a reception with all of you sometime in the near future.” Y/n smiled at them and she saw her words lesson their sadness.
“We? Who’s the dude?” Stiles raised a brow.
“Peter.”
“Peter as in Peter Hale?!” Scott’s eyes bulged out of his head.
“As in Derek’s uncle?” Allison was less shocked but more surprised.
“Yes, she's a Hale now.” Derek smirked proudly.
“I am.” She smiled.
“Peter Hale?” Stiles squinted his eyes, still not believing it.
“Is there something wrong with me?” Peter raised his eyebrows pretending to be innocent. He spoke up for the first time since the pack arrived from his spot on the couch.
“You're a psychopath for starters.” Stiles stated addressing the oldest Hale.
“He’s different with her. I’ll defend him on that. He has always been different when it comes to Y/n.” Derek spoke up.
Y/n walked over to Peter, sitting on the arm of the couch.
“That's because she’s different. She’s mine.” Peter growled the last part possessively.
“And you're mine.” Y/n smiled at him leaning over to kiss him.
“Oh he’s been yours since he laid eyes on you.” Derek teased and he got satisfaction when his uncle flashed his eyes at him but couldn’t deny his nephew's statement.

I refuse to believe that Sheriff Stilinski would respond to the call and arrive at the Hale house to find it on fire and not run in to try and save them.
I whole heartedly believe that Sheriff Stilinski ran into the Hale House when it was up in flames and got burnt because of it.
In fact, there is one character who was canonically in the house when it was on fire but not in the house when it collapsed/when everyone else died.
Peter.
Sheriff Stilinski got Peter out but before he could go back for anyone else, the house collapsed.
This is my headcanon now and I will die on his hill.

back to masterlist
pairing: derek hale x reader (she/her)
warnings: none
prompt: 5. “he loves you, you know? he’s just afraid of admitting it.”
summary: in which the reader and derek are oblivious to liking eachother and it’s painful for everyone to watch.
── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──
derek hale is called many things - sour wolf, the mean alpha, power hungry, and selfish. but turns out, he’s not any of those things. well, maybe a bit power hungry but he got past that.
derek has always been nothing but nice to you. always been courteous and sweet whenever you’re around, never mean or selfish like stiles or scott says he is.
the first time you met derek was when peter resurrected himself by using lydia. you were out for a walk when came across the hale house. you’ve heard tales about it and decided to go inside, little did you know that would be the start of your friendship with the one and only, derek hale.
── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──
right now, you’re sitting in derek’s loft waiting to have a mandatory pack meeting that scott called. you’re with lydia, peter, stiles, issac, allison, erica, and boyd.
“what do you think this is about?” lydia asks.
“no idea. but it’s probably pretty importing seeing as though it’s seven in the morning.” stiles says, wrapped up in a fluffy blanket that was previously sitting on the back of derek’s couch.
“it’s more than likely about the kanima issue we’re currently having.” issac matter-of-factly says. he’s always been a straight to the point type of guy, kind of like derek.
“where are derek and scott? they called this meeting and yet they aren’t even here.” you speak out to nobody in particular.
“they’re probably getting snacks or something. they know how the betas get in the morning and during meetings without some form of food consumption.” peter replies to you with a small smirk at your mention of derek.
everyone knows of your crush on derek. and of derek’s crush on you. yet, neither of you two act on it. the pack is getting tired of the small glances and touches you guys share and not putting a label on whatever you guys have going on.
it’s obvious to anyone looking at you both that there is something going on, except the two of you.
“well, well. would you look who decided to show up.” you break out of your thoughts and look up and see scott and derek. heart fastening a little at the sight of him.
“oh, would you be quiet? you know how everyone gets without food during these meetings. you should be thanking us.” scott says, setting the food down on the coffee table and taking a seat by allison.
derek sits down next to you on the couch, putting his arm around the back of you. admittedly, it makes you blush a little bit. but you can’t let him know that so you try to avoid eye contact with him. obviously it didn’t work.
derek looks at you confused because you never purposely turn away from him. he looks down at you, “hey, you good? these guys didn’t bother you that much did they?”
“uh no no it’s fine. it’s just a little warm in here, you know?” you try to hide your face with embarrassment while talking to him.
“oh, okay. do you want me to turn the heat down or anything?” he asks you.
“no, it’s fine.” you say.
“okay.” he drops the subject and goes to listening in on scott telling the pack about what needs to happen with the kanima issue.
you look up at him, admiring all his features. his eye, his hair, his body. holy shit. you can’t help but think, he’s really pretty. i guess he noticed you staring at him because he looks down at you mid stare.
“what are you looking at?” he questions.
“nothing, nothing at all.” you say with a little smile while turning away and focusing on what scott is saying. roles reversed now.
this time, derek is staring at you while you listen to scott speak. man, she’s so pretty. he thinks to himself. i wish i could just tell her how i feel without putting her in danger.
“hey y/n? can i talk to you a second?” lydia asks, “in private?”
“yeah, sure.” you say.
she gets up and you follow in tow. she leads you up the stairs of the loft, up into derek’s bedroom.
his room his neat. bed made and well put together. you could’ve guessed that it would’ve been considering how much of a neat freak derek is.
“y/n.” lydia speaks.
“what? what’s wrong, lyds?” you question her.
“you and derek keep looking at each other like your in love. when are you gunna to confess to him that you’ve liked him for the past two years?”
“what?! one, derek definitely doesn’t like me like that, we’re just friends. and two, we aren’t looking at each other like we love each other.” you try explaining, lying out of your ass.
“bullshit. he loves you, you know? he’s just too afraid to admit it. he just doesn’t want you wrapped up in all his issues and getting you in danger or hurt.” lydia says.
“i don’t know, lyds. there’s no way he could like me. i mean, we’ve been friends for almost three years and he hasn’t once shown an interest in me.”
lydia leads you to the bed, sitting you down on it and her sitting right next to you.
“i think you need to ask him how he feels, ‘cause i can tell you right now that the whole pack is getting tired of you guys making googly eyes at each other and acting like you’re in love.” she’s definitely speaking facts. ever since about a year ago, you and derek’s relationship has been different, more flirty but not enough for you to notice a drastic change.
“fine. i’ll ask him after the pack meeting, but if he doesn’t feel the same way i’m not coming to another meeting for like, four months.” you say.
“you’re being dramatic, y/n.”
“nope. i’m serious, id be too embarrassed coming back.” you explain, smiling cheekily.
“you promise to ask him after the meeting then? because i can swear to you that he feels the same way.” lydia says.
“yes lyds, i promise.”
“perfect. then let’s go back down there.” she gets up and starts walking back down to the main floor with you in tow right behind her.
you guys make your way back to the pack and you sit back down by derek. except this time when you look up at him, he’s smirking back down at you.
“what are you smirking at, huh?” you ask him with a slight smile on your face.
he leans down to whisper in your ear so only you can hear what he’s saying, “oh nothing, just that i think you and lydia forgot that i could hear every word that you guys just said.”
oh shit
“whattt… i uh, don’t know what you’re talking about, der.” you try to play it off. acting like your heart rate isn’t beating a thousand miles per hour right now.
“don’t worry, love. i think we have something to talk about after the meeting though.” he says, and then bringing his head back up and focusing on the meeting once more, not giving you time to respond.
the remainder of the meeting seems like it’s forever, when in reality it was probably only twenty minutes at most. at the end, everyone gets up to leave and when you try to, derek grabs your wrist bringing you back down beside him. “i don’t think so, love. we need to talk.”
der, i really don’t think we should. i already know you don’t feel the same way i feel. so what’s the point in even talking about it?” you say.
“who said i don’t feel the same?” he says with a smirk on his face.
“what’s that suppose to mean?”
“it means that i like you too, dumbass. in fact, i am in love with you. i didn’t want to tell you because with us being together it would put you in danger.” he confesses.
“derek..” you start.
“with everything going on, you’re always there for me and i don’t know what i would do without you. if something were to happen i couldn’t live with myself. you’re perfect. you’re funny, smart, beauti-“ you cut him off.
you kiss him.
you couldn’t take him rambling and rambling about how much he wanted you but couldn’t have you. you’re fine with being in danger as long as your with him.
your guys’ mouths mold perfectly in sync. this is even better than i thought it would be. you think to yourself.
eventually, you pull away. gasping for breath and looking at derek. he looks happy, ecstatic even. you’ve never seen him smile this big before.
“derek.”
“yes, love?”
“i don’t care if i am in danger in order to be with you. i want to be with you no matter what is happening in our lives.” you say.
“then i promise to keep you safe, no matter the circumstances.” he says.
“so what does this mean then? like, us?” you ask.
“i guess this means i finally get to take you out.” he pronounces, goofy smile on his face.
“about time.”

Hello! I'm new on your blog and I was wondering if you could do a Derek Hale x reader. Where reader and Derek have a child who is learning how to talk so when the child call for reader they make kissing faces because the child always saw their dad kissing their mom and one day where the pack come to Derek's loft for whatever reason and when the child saw stiles they growl or say wolf ( because they always hear stiles say sourwolf) and when the child see Peter they just hit or try to bite Peter when he takes them in his arms. Just something domestic, a little bit chaotic and fluff please.
Of course! I tried my best with this one, but I'm not really sure how it came out, so let me know if you like it! | @@bakakara666
Snuggles & Snarles | Derek Hale x Reader
Summary: The pack comes over to see your son, Eli, and things get a little chaotic.
Warnings: None! Just fluff <3
Requested: Yes | No
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f7b9172a69160ecb1ec3359be4e3d3cc/cf42c592e040b718-20/s540x810/637ac49cbad14473b8b08ac60f39eafc8de4561b.jpg)
Chaos was not an uncommon visitor in Beacon Hills. Usually, you were used to the common threat of some unknown supernatural creature trying to kill you and your friends. Luckily this time, the only chaos you had to put up with was the babbled attempts of speech from your baby boy, Eli.
The whole pack was gathered at the loft, paying extra attention to Eli. They claimed they had come to see you and Derek, but you both knew the truth. Ever since you two welcomed Eli into your home, the pack had been over almost daily. You couldn’t blame them though, your son was adorable.
Scott and Stiles were sitting on the floor, saying random words to Eli in a baby voice to get him to speak. Eli had stumbled on his feet, toddling over to you, putting his hands in the air for you to pick him up.
“Traitor,” Stiles mumbled, pouting and crossing his arms over his chest like a child. Scott smiled, admiring how much your son had loved you.
“Hi, baby.” You said softly, picking your son up in your arms. Derek kissed your cheek, causing Eli to giggle. He puckered his lips, making kissy faces at the both of you. Scott and Stiles busted out laughing, finding the whole interaction amusing. Peter even smiled a little bit. As much as a pain in the ass Peter could be, he loved you and Derek a lot, and maybe Eli just a little bit more.
Lydia walked over to the both of you sticking her arms out for Eli. He instantly leaned over, going straight into Lydia’s arms, “Aw, do you love your auntie Lyds? I think you do!” Lydia said in a high-pitched baby voice. Derek rolled his eyes playfully, Lydia was probably the biggest baby hog the world would ever see.
You looked around the loft, smiling to yourself. You loved your chaotic little family and you wouldn’t trade any of them for the world. Derek put his arms around you, pulling you into him. It was moments like these that made everything you had all gone through worth it.
Stiles sat down by Lydia on the couch, pinching Eli’s cheeks. Eli growled at him, causing Stiles to throw his hands up defensively, “He started it.” Stiles said. Eli stuck his tongue out, spitting on Stiles’ face. Stiles had a disgusted look on his face, slowly wiping away the saliva.
“Babies… disgusting.” He muttered.
“Aww, are you disgusting? I don’t think so, Stiles is just a grumpy grouch.” Lydia cooed, bouncing Eli in her arms. Stiles rolled his eyes, looking the other way.
“Yeah, don’t be such a sourwolf Stiles.” You teased, remembering all the times Stiles had said that to Derek. He narrowed his eyes at you, giving you the finger. You sent him a playful smile in return.
“Alright, I think someone wants to see their uncle Peter,” Peter said, snatching Eli out of Lydia’s arms. Lydia scoffed, getting up from her place on the couch to chase Peter down for Eli.
Eli started biting and scratching at Peter, “Looks like someone takes after their father a little too much, huh?” Peter joked, referring to the time Derek had killed Peter by slashing his throat. You shook your head, watching as Peter tried to get Eli to quit biting him.
“Exactly, he doesn’t like you. Now hand him over.” Lydia argued, attempting to take Eli back from Peter.
“He likes me better than you.” Peter scoffed, dodging Lydia’s grabby hands.
Lydia gasped, “He does not!” Lydia protested.
“Put him down and see which one of you he walks to,” Scott suggested.
“Fine,” Peter said, setting Eli down in the middle of the room. Lydia and Peter instantly began calling out for Eli, patting their hands on their knees, signaling for Eli to come to them. Eli looked around the room, slightly confused. He started running in Peter’s direction, his arms in the air.
“Yes! I told you—”
Eli ran straight past Peter and up to Derek, “Dada!” Eli said, grabbing onto his dad’s leg. Derek bent down, picking up Eli into his arms. Peter looked back, looking at the baby offended.
“Guess we know who his favorite isn’t.” Derek taunted, sending Peter a smirk.

Ours | Derek Hale Oneshot
Word Count: 3.5K Requested by @gracelynn318: "Derek or Stiles finding out that their significant other (the reader) is pregnant and they try to keep it secret for as long as possible" Warnings: pregnancy, pregnancy symptoms (vomiting, nausea, fatigue)
Summary: Derek Hale and (Y/N) have been together for a long time, and they didn't know something was missing from their lives until it arrived unexpectedly. And all they want to do is revel in the moment for as long as they can, by themselves.
A/N: this story follows 0% of canon, just the character's names. will admit. I am a horrible Teen Wolf fan that has yet to see season 5 and 6, and I've also yet to watch the movie. So, definitely an AU 😬also, be on the lookout for tonight or tomorrow for another surprise regarding this request 😉😉
Derek had noticed the change long before (Y/N) had. Long before she knew why she spent her days expelling her meals down the toilet drain, before she understood why her body craved more food than she could keep down, before she had even noticed that a month had passed and her period had not arrived.
It came late at night. The soft putter of a heartbeat that felt so far that it could have been confused with the sound of rain against the pavement. They had been lying in bed, the exhaustion of living in Beacon Hills the only thing they needed to crash at night. But the sound had been bothering Derek. The continuous rhythm didn’t allow the wolf to lose himself in much-needed slumber. The sound kept him up, especially from where it was coming from.
“(Y/N),” he whispered, running his hand up and down her arm to wake her. “(Y/N), baby, wake up.”
“Mm,” she groaned groggily, cuddling to his body tightly. “Go to sleep, Derek.”
“(Y/N), I gotta ask you something. Wake up.”
“We can talk in the morning,” she whined. “I’m tired right now.”
“It’s important,” he chuckled softly. “I need your complete focus.”
With a loud exhale, (Y/N) sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. The sheet fell from her torso, and the coldness of the night made her skin erupt in goosebumps. She rarely got angry with Derek, but she was coming quite close at that very moment. “You better have a good reason to wake me, Der,” she said. “I’m so tired I might just put off killing you until tomorrow.”
“Listen, please,” he said. “When was the last time you got your period?”
“What?” the girl questioned. “You seriously just woke me up to ask about my cycle?”
“More or less. Just answer. Did you get it last month?”
It took her a moment to think. The grogginess of being woken up still clutched her mind, and recounting the past weeks was hard. But her body startled awake as she realized she had not gotten her shark week in a month and a half. That fact alone did not scare her. She had always been irregular, and in moments of stress, it was more likely than not that she skipped a cycle. The problem was that not only had she missed a period, she had been feeling sick for the past three weeks. And the math was not too hard to do.
“I-I didn’t,” she stammered. “W-why are you asking?”
“Oh my god,” he answered. “Oh my god!”
“What? What’s wrong?”
Instead of answering, Derek pressed his ear to her stomach until he could hear the sound clearly. Alongside (Y/N)’s quickening heartbeat, a quieter, steady pattern joined. It was too indistinguishable now. “You’re pregnant,” he said. So quiet he wasn’t sure if he had said it at all. “There’s a baby in there. Our baby.”
“Pregnant…” (Y/N) could not believe the word even as it rolled out of her tongue. “I can’t believe it.”
“We’ll go to Deaton tomorrow, but I’m certain. I can hear their heart beating in there.”
(Y/N)’s mind was reeling. Pregnant, she thought to herself. The word felt foreign. So did her body. Derek had noticed the change before her. How could she not have known that a life was growing inside her? How could she ever be a mother when she did not even know herself?
Without realizing it, tears fell down her cheeks. She felt weak and panicked. The strong woman that had faced the biggest dangers and far scarier monsters trembled with the thought of a life depending on her for survival. It was one thing to volunteer to protect the members of the pack. They were old enough to fend for themselves. It was another to be responsible for the life and survival of another human.
“Hey,” Derek called. His voice sounded like it was underwater. So far away that she could barely hear it. “Baby, what’s going on?”
She hadn’t noticed that she had stood from the bed and was pacing around their room. Her breathing was shallow, and her chest heaved as she took in short breaths, trying to steady herself. Tears kept falling faster than she could wipe them away. They warmed her cheeks before the air turned them cold. It was the only thing that grounded her.
And Derek. Always Derek.
He had gotten off the bed, and within a second, he was wrapping his arms around her. The warmth from his skin calmed her. It brought her senses back to the moment, steadying her rampant heart.
“What’s wrong, (Y/N)?” he spoke into the crook of her neck. “Tell me what I can do to make it better.”
“I’m scared, Derek,” she sighed, tightening her grip around him. “A baby. Here. Now.”
“Why not here?” Derek smiled, his hands running through her hair. “Why not now? With you as their mother, that baby could be born underground, and they would be the luckiest child in the world.”
“How could you be so sure?” (Y/N) cried. “I forget things all the time, I’m clumsy, I can barely redeem myself when it comes to fighting. If it weren’t for my weapons, I wouldn’t bring much to the fight against our enemies. What good would I be to protect a child? How could I be entrusted with their entire upbringing?”
“Oh, (Y/N). You’re far more valuable than what you bring to a fight.” His hands cradled her face, the green of his eyes boring into hers. “You are the most caring person I know. If it weren’t for you, I would have killed half of the pack by now. You’re smart. You’re funny. And if anyone should be terrified of becoming a parent, it should be me.”
“Come on,” she scoffed jokingly, her tears finally subsiding. “You’d be an amazing father. Temperamental, but great nonetheless.”
“Well, I’m glad it at least got you laughing,” he grinned. “How about we just take this one day at a time, baby? Make sure we take things slow. Tell people on our own time. Instead of going to the doctor, we buy a pregnancy test at the pharmacy; confirm what I already know.”
“But if you can hear the heartbeat, I am sure all the other wolves will, too,” she worried. “How am I supposed to take things as they come when everyone will know the second they come here?”
“Then, I won’t let anyone back here,” he smiled. “I’ll have them meet me at the warehouse or at Argent’s place. We can say you’re sick with something and won’t be there. Or that you went to visit family out of state –I don’t know. The point is, we can do this, baby. I know we can.”
“Well, I do admire your tenacity,” she chuckled, kissing his lips softly and hugging him again. “One day at a time, right?”
“One day at a time.”
And it worked. For two months, at least.
That very morning, he went out and returned home with five pregnancy tests and a bouquet of flowers. And five minutes later, they all showed an array of dark pink plus signs and the word Pregnant on them. Just like that, it had been confirmed. A new baby Hale would be coming to Beacon Hills in eight months.
They were excited. Of course, they were. But they couldn’t help the terror that overtook them as well. Bringing a new life into their world was a scary thought. The fact that anyone with knowledge of their child could use them against them was terrifying. Still, they wanted that baby more than anything they had wanted before.
The child that grew inside of (Y/N) was the tangible representation of their love. Evidence that everything life had thrown at them had not been able to push them apart, not for a second. They had been through hell and back, always together, and they had come out of every single occasion stronger than before. That baby was the final piece to their equation.
The next day, they went to the first available OB/GYN about an hour from the town. The doctor confirmed what they already knew, adding the new fact that she was around seven weeks along. The process was more than uncomfortable, but the result was well worth it. A tiny blob appeared on the screen, and the sound of a rapid heartbeat filled their ears. It made tears well up in their eyes. That tiny thing would soon turn into their baby. And even though it didn’t even have a distinguishable shape, they had fallen in love with them.
At first, they thought they would pass the first trimester in bliss. That they would only grow more and more excited as the days passed. And they would have. Had it not been for all the symptoms that overtook (Y/N).
She spent most of her day hunched over the toilet seat, emptying whatever was in her stomach. Even when she thought she could keep food down, an hour or two later, she would be in the bathroom letting it out. And if she wasn’t vomiting, she was ransacked with deep waves of nausea. Then, her breasts started to swell, painful jabs running through her every few days. In addition to heartburn and fatigue, it made her question just how worth it a baby could be.
But Derek had been attentive as ever, if not a little overbearing. He had kept his promise of moving where the meetings were held, claiming that the loft was under renovation while (Y/N) was out of town for a bit. It wasn’t a complete lie, though. He used his downtime to clean up around the house and fix things he had put off for far too long.
He fed her saltine crackers and electrolyte drinks, rubbed her back, and held her hair, and he loved her. Every day and every night, he loved her. Even when he had to stay up cleaning the bathroom or he had to carry her back to bed. He loved her through everything.
“You did this to me,” she had groaned one day. “All I want is to eat chips and pickles, but I can’t keep anything down.”
“I know, and I’m sorry,” he responded, drawing circles on her back as he cradled her body in the bathroom. “Hopefully, in a week, it’ll subside. You’re almost out of the first trimester, and the morning sickness should get better.”
“Stop reading pregnancy books,” she whined. “By the time this bun is fully baked, you’ll know more than me.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Derek chuckled but swallowed his laughter as (Y/N) gifted him an angry scowl. “Okay, okay. I think the ten books I’ve read will do.”
(Y/N) remained quiet and threw her head against his chest. His arms snaked around her body, a comfort she allowed herself to sink into. The warmth from his body felt nice against her shivering skin. But just his presence was enough to comfort her, regardless of the words she spoke.
“I’m sorry I’ve been snappy these past few days,” she sighed. Her eyes closed as he wrapped his arms tighter around her, her head falling against his chest. “I love this baby, and I love you, but I don’t love puking all the time. And peeing all the time. And being tired all the time. I want to fast forward to the next few months.”
“Hey, you can be snappy with me all you want. I can take it,” he said with a smile. “I will be right here every step of the way because I love you. More than you could ever know.”
“Even when I’m all big and bloated?” (Y/N) chuckled, her hands falling onto the growing small bump. “They're already trying to deform my body.”
“Well, at least you’re glowing.”
“No,” she sighed. “That’s just sweat.”
“Then you look beautiful covered in sweat,” he laughed. “Now, let’s get you to bed. Alright?”
(Y/N) could only nod and wrap her arms around his neck as he carried her back to bed, laying right next to her. Even if he couldn’t take this discomfort away, he was trying his best to make things better for her.
Another week passed, and things started to shift. The woman would only occasionally feel the need to throw up her food, but the constant nausea and heartburn had subsided. And once (Y/N) saw her baby's small fingers and feet in their 12-week ultrasound, she knew it had all been worth it.
She also knew they couldn’t keep the secret to themselves any longer.
The pack had become angsty. Wondering when (Y/N) would be coming back from her supposed trip. Two and a half months was far too long to just be with family. With no imminent danger in sight, they had too much time to check up on everyone else.
“I think it’s time we tell them,” (Y/N) told Derek as they watched a movie. She cradled her small bump, something she had unconsciously started to do. “We’re almost at the five-month mark, and I think it’ll be too hard to hide.”
“Do we really?” he groaned. “I can just keep you hidden here until the nine months are up. They don’t have to know a thing.”
“You would really keep the mother of your child sequestered in these walls until I give birth?”
“Maybe even more,” he shrugged. “Maybe I’ll keep you here forever.”
“You’re quite funny, Mr. Hale,” she chuckled. “But they are our friends —our family. They deserve to know there’s one more person to protect.”
“I’ve just really liked this time,” he sighed. His chin rested on her shoulder, his beard tickling her exposed skin. “You know, just you and me. Basking in the time we won’t have once everyone knows and once the baby is here. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, (Y/N). A family of my own, that I can love and protect. A home that’s ours.”
“And we will have that,” she smiled. “We’re just allowing more love in. The best part, at the end of the day, we can just kick them out.”
“When you put it that way,” he laughed before kissing her lips, savoring her. “Alright, fine. We’ll tell them next Saturday.”
“Thank you, Der. It’s gonna be great.”
And it should have.
Had it not been for the million things that went wrong that week. The A/C was busted for a total of four days, a pipe burst in one of the bathrooms, the paint they had ordered for the nursery had been put on back order, and the Camaro had to be taken into the shop for tuning. Thing after thing occurred, piling onto an already stressful time.
Nevertheless, the week came and went. And before either of them knew it, Saturday had rolled in.
To say (Y/N) was nervous was an understatement. For some reason, anxiety was taking over her body. Its claws dug themselves deep into her being. It made her veins run cold and her heart speed. She didn’t know how any of them would react to the baby. Even to the fact that they had kept it from them for so long. And although Derek tried his best to calm her worries, they had already made a home inside her head.
“God, what if they hate the fact that I’m pregnant?” (Y/N) worried as she laid out more food than necessary on the kitchen counter. “What if they find the idea of bringing a child into a messed up world to be the worst thing ever?”
“Who cares, baby? It’s our child,” Derek tried to reassure. “We are the ones that will be raising them. The ones to protect them. Always and forever.
“But they say it takes a village, Der. And that is one thing that I know is true. I mean, at some point, we will need their help.”
“And you really think we won’t have it,” he said, rounding the kitchen island. His hands traveled her body and, in one swift move, had her sitting on the counter. At eye level, he could stare directly into her glossy eyes. “We have been through everything with these people. Even the ones I hated at the beginning have become my closest friends. I’m 100% sure they’ll be thrilled that you’re pregnant.”
He snaked his hand to her chin, pulling her down for a soft kiss. But once their lips made contact, it was too much of a temptation to keep it chaste. Soon enough, their tongues danced together, and their hands pulled each other closer. It left them breathless and excited, wanting —needing more.
“Uh, we can come back if it’s a bad time,” Stiles’ voice rang through the apartment, startling them apart. “But you guys did invite us here. So, it’s kind of bad on you guys.”
“No. Yes! I mean, it’s not a bad time,” (Y/N) chuckled as she jumped off the counter, hiding her stomach with a comically large bowl. “We just got carried away, I guess.”
“The one day they decide to show up on time,” Derek grumbled under his breath. “Come in, why don’t you?”
Before they knew it, the apartment was filled with werewolves, a banshee, other werehumans and supernatural beings, and their very own abominable snowman. The couple remained in the kitchen as everyone situated themselves, whispering under their breath what the best way to go about it would be.
“Not to be pushy,” Peter called out. “But if you guys only called us over for some food, I have better things to do than hang around children all day.”
“You do know we’re all well above the age of eighteen, right?” Isaac retorted. “It’s been quite some time since we have been children.”
“You’re still younger than me, correct?”
“Well, yeah…”
“Then children,” he said. “So, what is it? Am I staying, or am I leaving?”
“Settle down, Peter,” Derek responded, biting back the urge to roll his eyes. “We do have something important to announce to everyone and would very much appreciate it if you just listen.”
“Fine,” he frowned. “But you have ten minutes of my time before I decide to leave.”
“All we need is a couple of seconds, really,” (Y/N) said with a smile on her face so sweet no one dared say anything else. “I’m sure you heard that I was away for a while and that we were undergoing renovations here. Which, as you can tell by the lack of changes, was not true. Derek lied on my behalf and moved any necessary meetings out of our home because I needed this time to myself as I underwent a sort of change in my life.”
“Oh my god, you’re dying,” Stiles worried. “Is it cancer? Is it at least treatable?”
“It’s nothing like that, Stiles,” she reassured with a soft chuckle. “But thank you for worrying. It’s just as life-changing but not necessarily life-threatening. At least, I’m hoping it’s not. But you could never be sure until…”
“(Y/N), you’re rambling,” Derek whispered in her ear. “It’s nothing bad.”
“You’re pregnant!” Lydia exclaimed, a bright smile adorning her face.
“How would you know that?” Malia questioned. “I thought you predicted death, not new life.”
“It’s common sense,” she shrugged, disregarding the comment. “She’s been hiding for months. The place smells like paint, and nothing in this room is painted, so I can only assume it’s a bedroom. And she hasn’t stepped out from behind the island that just so happens to cover her stomach. Two and two always makes four.”
“Except on this occasion, it made three,” (Y/N) chuckled. She walked around the counter and joined Derek’s side, her bump finally on display for everyone to see. “But, yes, Lydia, I am pregnant. Almost five months now.”
A shower of ‘holy crap’s and ‘oh my god’s rained over them as, one by one, the pack got to their feet and hugged the couple in congratulations. They rejoiced together and started planning how to spoil little baby Hale even before they were born. Every single person was as excited and overjoyed as Derek and (Y/N) were, anxious for when the baby was born.
Well, except Peter.
“Yeah, next time you have these kinds of news, little nephew, make sure to make it an email,” he grumbled, looking at his watch. “Can’t believe I canceled evening plans for a pregnancy announcement.”
“We love you too, Peter,” (Y/N) laughed. “Maybe if you leave now, you can still make it to whatever it is that you had planned.”
“I’m already here,” he shrugged as he sat back down on the sofa. “Might as well take advantage of the free food.”
“Ignore him,” Derek told her, wrapping his arms around her waist. “He can’t take this moment away from us. It’s all ours.”

Fandom: Teen Wolf
Pairing: Peter Hale x McCall reader
Story Type: Angst, Fluff at the end.
Warnings: Age gap, violence, major character injury, near death experience, Peter is a little ooc, story not totally canon.
Summary: Scott's older sister, who is in her early 20's, is injured during a confrontation with Kali of the Alpha pack. She's human and therefore on the verge of death. Peter, despite his insistance that he is only out for himself, will do anything to help her.
...
You had a feeling you shouldn't have come out here with Peter, but you did it anyway. It was routine. You were trying to find evidence of where Noah and your mother were. Peter was headed to Ms. Blake's apartment to look for clues. You didn't trust him not to immediately act on anything he found without bringing it to the pack first. So you insisted on going with him.
There wasn't much to gather, other than the fact Ms. Blake clearly did not keep any evidence of her druid activities here. Honestly it didn't even seem like she actually even lived here. You should get back to the others and see if they were having better luck.
"Well, I don't think we're going to get much else from this place. Let's go back and meet up with the others?" You look to Peter, honestly expecting an argument. He never wanted to listen to anyone other than himself.
"Agreed."
"Well- wait what?!?" You ask in shock.
"I said, I agree, now let's get out of here." He gestures towards the door. You raised an eyebrow at him, trying to suppress a smirk. "What? I can be agreeable." He replies with mock offense.
"You? Peter Hale? Agreeable?" You shake your head in amusement.
"Yes, I can be very agreeable... as long as the person making the suggestion is not a complete idiot." He shrugs and you snort in amusement.
"So, I guess that means I'm not a complete idiot then?" You ask him as the two of you exit the apartment.
"You? No. Your brother and his friends however..." Peter trails off, feigning shame at the thought. You know him though, and you know there is not an ounce of shame there.
"Stop it." You playfully slap his abdomen with the back of your hand. "They're not idiots, you just think you're smarter than everyone else."
"I don't think that, I know it. Besides you're almost as smart as m-" Peter stops suddenly, just as you exit the building into a nearly empty parking garage. You turn back to him in surprise only to see one of the scariest sights you have ever seen. Peter Hale looking absolutely terrified.
"What is it?" You can hear the shakiness in your own voice.
"Get behind me." Peter steps forward and puts his arm out in front of you. Guiding you to stand behind him. That's when you hear it. The sickening scrape of claws on asphalt. Immediately you feel a shiver down your spine, cold sweat starting to trickle down your back. Kali.
"Well, well, well, look at this. A washed up, former alpha and McCall's pathetic human sister." She says with a sneer. A sadistic grin forming on her face. "Looks like this going to be easy." Peter leans forward into a fighting stance, a growl rumbling in his chest as he transforms. Claws and teeth extending. Kali smiles as she mirrors his stance.
"Y/N, run." Peter growls. You are frozen in fear for a moment before the two of them pounce at one another. As soon as the two collide you finally remember how to work your legs. You sprint as fast as you are able away from the wolves. Your breath immediately starting to become ragged. Damn asthma, never had you been so jealous of Scott no longer having to deal with his.
You make the mistake of looking behind you to see where Peter and Kali were. Only to see Peter on his own, staggering to his feet. Kali was nowhere to be seen.
"NOOO!" Peter roars out as you suddenly feel a hand on your neck. The wind is knocked out of you as you are lifted off your feet. Breath cut off by Kali's hand on your throat. You feel her claws drawing a bit of blood as they press into your skin. You struggle against her grip, but it's useless. She is too strong for you too fight. Peter is running toward the two of you as fast as he can.
"LET HER GO!!" He roars again. Kali cocks her head in intrigue, looking from Peter to you.
"Interesting." She says. Next thing you feel is your body flying through the air as Kali launches you at the wall of the building. You slam into the wall, head cracking against the stone before you crumple onto the ground. Your head is ringing, vision blurred as Peter runs toward you and Kali disappears from your sight.
"Y/N! Y/N! Are you okay?" Peter is frantic, face twisted with concern as he kneels down in front of you. You try to tell him you are fine, but all that comes out is weak groan. Peter takes in the damage done you. Checking the back of your head with his hand. Finding his fingers coated in blood as he pulls them away. Panic strikes him. He sees your eyes struggling to stay open as you try to focus on him.
"Y/N!" Peter shouts again. He pulls your limp body into his lap. That's when he notices your breathing. The shallow gasps as you struggle to catch your breath. Kali threw you against the wall so hard that you broke several ribs and one of them had punctured your lung. Peter didn't know that, but it was clear that the something was very, very wrong and he was terrified.
"Y/N, I'm going to need you to hold on baby. I'm going to call Derek and Scott. Just stay with me." Peter pulls his phone out and calls Derek.
The next few minutes are the longest of Peter's life as he prays the other two wolves get there in time. Holding you, taking as much of your pain away as he can. He is rethinking the whole night trying to see a way that this could have been prevented. Some way that he could have protected you.
"Y/N!" Scott's voice rang out across from across the lot. Peter sighed in relief as he saw Scott and Derek running toward the two of you.
"What the hell happened!!" Scott yells as they approach.
"Kali." Peter growled out, the name laced with rage. "She attacked us. Now, Derek help her!"
"What do mean 'Derek help her'? She needs to go to the hospital!" Interjects Scott.
"No, look at her Scott." Peter nods toward your limp form in his arms. "She's barely conscious and she can't breath! Scott, she's dying!" Peter's voice strains as he tells him.
"You want me to give her the bite?" Derek asks, standing above the three of you.
"The bite!" Scott is immediately terrified. "That can't be her only option."
"It is, Scott!" Peter insists. "She won't make it to the hospital, at least this will give her a chance." He is pleading now.
"He's right Scott." Derek adds. "Listen to her breathing." Scott looks at you, listening to your breath and hears it. You are fading and if they don't act quick, you will die.
"What if she doesn't want this?" Scott asks. Peter nearly looses it at Scott.
"Do you think she'd rather die!!" He shouts at Scott. "At least this will give her a chance. Please." Scott looks up at Derek.
"Do it." He says to Derek who simply nods in response. Derek kneels down next you and takes your arm. His eyes glow red and his fangs extend before he brings them up to your arm. The bite hurts. You groan in pain at the contact, fire lighting up in your veins. Peter takes your hand again easing your pain. All three of the wolves around you hold their breath as they wait for a sign of life.
A moment later and suddenly your breath evens out. There is a collective sigh of relief from all of them. Peter checks the injury to the back of your head.
"She's healing." He says.
"Thank god." Scott replies. "We should get her home."
"We're near my place, I'll take her back there to rest. You two go back to check on the others." Peter says as he stands up with you in his arms.
"I don't thi-"
"Scott, the others need you and she needs rest. I live right down the road. She can stay on my couch and I'll take care of her." Peter cuts Scott off before he protest, but Scott still looks unsure. Peter, in the most on brand move of the night, rolls his eyes. "And I'll make sure she calls you the second she wakes up, okay?"
"Fine." Scott grumbles.
Peter carried you all the way back to his apartment. You were unconscious for most of it. You stirred just enough to note him tucking you into bed and feel him press a gentle kiss to your forehead. Your last thought confusion over this sudden display of care from a man notorious for not caring about anyone other than himself.
...
The next morning you wake, warm and comfortable in a bed you don't recognize. For some reason you feel safe as you take in your surroundings. That's when you spot Peter, asleep in a chair next to the bed. The previous night starts to come back to you. Joking with Peter, then Kali, then pain and blood. Then your little brother was there and Derek. There was an argument. Then... a bite? That's right, Derek gave you the bite. You can't help yourself from pulling up your sleeve and inspecting the place where he bit you. There is obviously no mark, but you had to look anyway. Having a hard time processing that your whole life had changed last night and there wasn't even a scar to show it. You were so engrossed in your arm you don't notice Peter stirring.
"Are you okay?" He practically whispers. Your head jerks up at the sudden sound. You don't know how to answer him.
"Umm... I think so." Is the best you can manage. Peter stands up and steps toward before stopping himself. A look crossed his face, something you weren't familiar on him. Almost nervous?
"Okay, um, I'll go make some coffee." Peter quickly exits the room. You go to follow him, moving carefully expecting some pain or soreness. As you stand though, you realize you're fine. There's no pain, no sign of your injuries from last night. You need to talk to Peter about last night. There was something different about him last night. Peter was always out for himself. He only helped the pack when it meant saving himself. Yet last night he protected you. He put aside his own safety to care for you. He fought for you.
You quickly find Peter in the kitchen. Pausing for a moment to watch him move around the kitchen.
"Um, Peter are you okay?" You ask him as you lean against the doorframe. He pauses with two mugs in hand to look at you. He scoffs.
"Me? What could be wrong with me? I wasn't the one who got my brain scrambled like an egg last night." He shrugs, feigning nonchalance. You can't help but smile at him, seeing right through the deflection.
"You may not have gotten your brains scrambled last night, but you're acting like they're scrambled this morning." There was a bit of laughter to your tone, but neither of you really was in the mood to appreciate the joke.
"Maybe, but I guess I've got a lot to think about this morning." He responds quietly, almost to himself.
"Like what?" You ask. You take a few small steps further into the room, closer to him.
"You." He firmly places the mugs on the counter, seemingly in frustration. You take a few steps closer again until you're standing next to him.
"What about me?" Peter scoffs ever so lightly at your question. Leaning his head back and closing his eyes before he responds.
"Everything." His head hangs forward now. "Did you know when I first met you, when I first got brought back, I hated you. I saw the way you were with Scott and I knew in my very bones that I hated you. You were everything to Scott that I should have been for Derek. You have been there for him, protecting and loving him since the day he was born. Even after he was turned, you still set out to do everything you could to help him. I was jealous of the person that you were capable of being, the one that I could never seem to be." Peter leans on the counter palms pressed down onto it. He looked forward at the wall, refusing to look at you. You want to ask him what changed but decide it would be better to just let him speak. "Eventually though, that jealousy turned into a kind of admiration. I knew you were better than me and I started to realize that was a good thing. A great thing even. Then somewhere along the way that admiration morphed as well. It turned into a sort of..." Peter swallows hard like the word is difficult for him to say. "affection."
"Affection?" You ask quietly. He nods swallowing again.
"Once I recognized it, I couldn't let it go. Now it's practically all I think about." He runs a hand over his face. "All of sudden I can't help myself from wanting to be around you all of the time. Wanting to make sure that you're safe. Hell, last night when you volunteered to come with me I practically sighed with relief, because if you were with me I would know you were safe. I thought I would be able to protect you. I was clearly very wrong, but I thought I could." You step closer to him, placing your hand over his on the counter. He spreads his fingers so that you can intertwine yours with his before he continues. "I...I'm so sorry Y/N. When Kali went for you I thought my heart was going to rip itself out of my chest in fear. I... I should have stopped her, should have been faster." His head hangs low, eyes on the floor.
"But you did protect me, Peter." You say barely more than a whisper. "You did everything you could to keep her away from me. Then you stayed with me. Took away my pain. Made sure that my brother and Derek got to me in time."
"She should have never laid a hand on you." He responds sternly. "You should never have been hurt to begin with. And last night Scott was right. I made the choice for Derek to give the bite. I took that choice away from you, because I was too selfish to risk letting you go."
"You were right to push for the bite!" You respond in disbelief, causing him to turn to you for the first since you entered the kitchen.
"What?"
"Peter, if you hadn't pushed for the bite I would be dead. I'm not, because of you. I'm alive because of you. Maybe, I wouldn't have asked for this outside of a near death experience, but I'm glad that it happened. I know things are going to just get more complicated now, but at least I have some way to fight back. Some way to protect myself! Peter, if anything I'm grateful!" You plead with him, your other hand on his jaw to make him look at you. "You made me stronger and more importantly you kept me alive. Thank you."
"You're sure that you're okay with this?" He asks, making sure to look you in the eye as you respond.
"I'm sure. I want this and..." you trail off, making him nervous.
"What is it?"
"I...I want you." Peter can't help but let himself smile at that for second, but then his mask comes down. That stupid smirk of his comes out.
"Now there's something for the Beacon Hills' Top Ten Worst Ideas list." He says pulling back a bit.
"I mean it Peter. I've developed my own...sort of affection, for you." You say quietly. He looks at you, rolling his eyes, but he can't quite hide the smile that crosses his face. He is practically giddy hearing it, but he is Peter, so he can't let himself admit it.
"I still don't think that's a very good idea." He says it mockingly, but the tone isn't quite right. There is an undertone of sincerity there that you can hear. When you don't respond to him, he continues. "Everyone would hate it, especially your brother. I think the funny one wouldn't shut up about it for at least a year. Derek would brood over it for months. And Lydia - " You cut off his rant taking both of his hands in yours.
"Peter, I. Don't. Care. Scott and Stiles and Derek and whoever else can complain about it all they want. I still want this, with you."
"You really do mean that, don't you?" Peter stares directly into your eyes and you nod. He finds himself nodding with you before he leans down and presses his lips to yours. It's a gentle kiss at first, but you put your arms around his neck to pull him closer and he can't help himself. He wraps his arms around you and deepens the kiss. You don't want him to stop, but all of a sudden he pulls his head away. Arms not leaving your waist. He's looking at the apartment door, then he turns to you.
"I forgot to make you call your brother and now he's here." Just as Peter finishes his sentence a loud knocking proceeds at the door.
"Y/N!!" Calls your brother's voice from the other side of the door.
"Well, this is going to be fun." You say looking at Peter, still smiling to yourself when you make eye contact with him.

you tell them you're pregnant / part 2
Isaac Lahey
He doesn't believe his ears. He makes you repeat it because he's not sure he heard you correctly.
"Isaac, I'm pregnant." You repeat.
You had known for a few days now. You were in a world of emotions already between your own emotions and wondering what Isaac would think when he found out.
There was no beating around the bush when you told him.
You weren't that far along to notice. If you hadn't missed your period, you probably would not have suspected anything yourself.
He blinked, turning his head as if he was taking in everything you were saying.
You stood in front of him, your hair still damp from the shower you had just taken.
"And here I thought you were about to tell me about something you were thinking in the shower." He chuckled nervously, feeling his hands starting to get clammy and he rubbed them around his pj bottoms. "Pregnant?"
You just nodded your head.
"Is this why you've been so quiet the past few days?" He met your eyes again.
You weren't sure what to say. You were terrified what was going through his mind.
"I can't say I'm not freaking out a little," He started before rising to his feet to lift your chin to look at him. He couldn't lie. He was freaking out between the trauma he was slowly recovering from with his father and trying to keep it from coming between the two of you. But right now he knew how much he needed you.
You look out the shaky breath you were holding in and he stroked his finger across your cheek. "But I'm here."
He presses a kiss to the side of your head, pulling you into his arms to hold you tight. "I'm here."
Theo Raeken
You knew it wasn't smart to be going behind your brother's back with Theo but you couldn't help yourself. And let's be honest Theo wasn't helping either.
"Theo, I need to tell you something." You mumbled against his lips as he started to pull his jacket down his arm.
It wasn't hard to hide it when everyone hated Theo, including you. You played the role so well.
At least that was the case.
"What is it?" His mouth left yours only to continue working kisses down your jaw and along your neck. You could barely think around him.
Your hands pushed against his chest, leaning away from him to pry his lips from your neck. He held onto your waist as he finally met your eyes.
"What's wrong?"
Liam was going to kill you.
You swallowed hard. Everything. "I'm pregnant, Theo."
You could feel how tense the air had grown around you in just a few second. Neither of you had said a word for a while, but his arms never moved from around you.
You moved to pull the two positive pregnancy tests from your back pocket to show him. His eyes followed your hand.
"I'm sorry. This isn't how I wanted things to go either, but I'm terrified. And Liam- Liam is going to-"
His name was like a trigger for the both of you. Considering Liam was your brother and about the only person who gave Theo any sort of a chance aside from you. "He's gonna have to get over it." He finally spoke.
"I don't want to ruin things for you. I know you've been trying to do better with everyone."
"I'm not worried about that." He admitted as his large hands caressed along your back comfortingly. "This matters more to me than trying to appease them." He nodded his head towards you.
Your cheeks blushed a deep crimson before hiding your face into his chest.
Peter Hale
You were curled up on the couch watching a movie with Peter after a long day of both of you helping Scott's pack.
A blanket was draped across both of you and a bowl of popcorn sitting on his lap.
You had known the exciting news for a week now and you couldn't wait any longer to share it with him.
Not that you had been trying to get pregnant, but it was a topic discussed a few times and you both weren't against being parents. You had been married two years now. It was nothing you were in a hurry to do, but now that it was happening. It felt like it was meant to be.
You reached a hand into the bowl to grab some popcorn, smiling to yourself as you kept your eyes on the tv screen.
"So what if I told you I may or may not be pregnant?" You tossed the popcorn in your mouth.
His fingers tracing against your back stilled and he lifted his head off the couch cushion to look at you.
"Are you?"
You struggled to bite back the grin on your lips, peeking over at find his soft eyes already on you.
"I am."
You watched his lips curl into a smile, knocking over the popcorn over to pull you into his lap. "Oh my god Peter. I was eating that."
His arms wrapped around your body to cuddle you on his lap. "I've been waiting for you to say something. I knew something was off." He kissed the corner of your mouth, glazing a large hand over your stomach.
"You knew? What?"
He taps his ear with a smirk. "You're married to a werewolf, baby. This is old news."

If the gang found out there was a were-hyena stuck in a zoo exhibit a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer
*new were-hyena*
Stiles: Alright, now wait a goddamn minute! You're werewolves. Took a bit of an adjustment period but I was cool with that. Jackson became a Kamina when he got turned then became a werewolf with Kamina features ‘cause that's totally normal. Then Malia showed up as a fucking were-coyote which is fine, whatever. I had seen weirder shit by that point! Then Kate Argent became a were-jaguar? But, sure, why not. And fucking Theo is half werewolf AND half were-coyote– that I can kind of rectify because it was the dread doctors’ doing and shouldn't have existed. Of course, it wouldn't exist if you had listened to me when I told you he was evil at the start—
Derek: Stiles.
Stiles: Fine! But I was cool with all of that and now you're telling me there's a fucking were-hyena stuck in the zoo?
Scott: An evolved were-hyena who's stuck in hyena form…
Stiles: Because that makes it so much better. What's next? Were-lions? Were-tigers? Were-bears?
Peter: Oh my…
Stiles points at Peter: Thank you, Peter, for getting the joke. Back to my rant—

Peter Hale: One Bed
*Please no copying my work, happy reading!
-“Y/n you’re rooming with Peter;” Derek explained.
- You groan once you open the hotel room door. “There’s only one bed.”
- “I can keep my hands to myself if you can.” He winked.
- “In your dreams,” you taunt.
- “You a mind reader now?”
- You ignore him.
- “Wanna conserve water and shower together too?” He teases.
- You’re about to decline but he takes his shirt off revealing his biceps. You wonder what his body would feel like under your fingertips. “Fuck it.”
- He’s surprised when he feels your lips crash to his, you start to pull back when he doesn’t react. But he saves you, his hand claiming the back of your head with the other pulling you closer around the waist.
- You don’t know how much water you really saved with the length of time you were in there.
- He’s gentle as he dries you off, something you’re not used to especially from him.
-“I thought you didn’t like me. I mean you flirt with everyone but then you’d never want to be alone with me.”
- “This would have happened sooner if we were alone,” he replies.
- “Talk about wasted opportunity.”
- “You’re beautiful, you know.” He angles your chin up giving better access to your mouth.
- “I know.” You trail your fingers down his arm, then up from his naval to rub into his shoulder.
- He sweeps you into his arms, carrying you to the one bed. He stumbles into it accidentally launching you in it.
- “Damn, Peter, you’re eager,” you tease.
- “Course I am, I get to worship you all night.”
- You order some food after the fact and he pulls you in his lap, feeding each other.
- The next morning Stiles being himself, can’t help but say, “I’m surprised you guys are still alive, we heard you guys fighting all night.”
- “She’s a reall killer that one.” Peter smirked.

Derek sat in the loft on the couch when suddenly he heard frantic step’s coming down the stairs. That’s when he sees Y/n, his really good friend that happened to be dating his uncle.
“Can you take me home?” Y/n ask’s Derek with tear stains on her cheeks.
“Course.” Derek nodded instantly getting up, he grabbed his jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders and grabbed his keys.
“y/n!” Peter yelled coming down the stairs now as well.
With the roar of her name Y/n shook and Derek noticed.
“No.” Y/n whimpered under her breath not wanting to continue with their argument. She couldn’t deal with it right now.
“Leave her alone.” Derek growled as he flashed his eye’s at his uncle to get him to stop coming closer. Derek turned back to Y/n wrapping an arm around her waist. “Come on, Y/n/n.”
With that he walked the girl that was like a sister to him out of the apartment.
“Y/n-” Peter tried calling out her name again but was met with a more angry nephew.
“Don’t.” Derek this time didn’t just growl and flashed his eyes he also barred his fangs.
Once it was obvious Peter wasn’t going to try and follow them anymore Derek escorted Y/n down stairs and drove her home. During that drive Derek got Y/n to open up about what happened, what their argument was about.
When Derek got back to the loft upon seeing his uncle sitting on the couch with his head in his hand, elbows on his knee’s Derek scoffs.
“You're an idiot. I told you if you hurt her I’ll kill you. That still applies.” He stated glaring at his uncle.
Peter grumbled before getting up and taking his leave. Needing to cool off, blow off some steam before thinking any further on what to do.
After cooling off and noticing it’s now dark outside. With seeing how long it had been Peter decided to head to Y/n’s and fix things.
When he arrived Peter used his own key to her place and entered. Peter took a moment to listen for Y/n’s heartbeat to find where in the house she is.
He heard her heartbeat coming from her room so that’s where he headed. That's where he saw her laying on her bed.
Y/n noticed Peter standing in her doorway, now she was regretting giving him a key. “What are you doing here?”
Peter sighed dramatically before grumbling out. “I came to apologize.”
Y/n eyed him with a wary look. Considering his tone was he sure didn’t sound like he wanted to apologize. “Are you sure?”
“You have to see where I was coming from.” Peter sighed, pointing out that he wasn’t fully in the wrong he just wanted to protect her. But it might’ve come off as a bit controlling.
“Do you see where I was coming from?! Or do you only care about your opinion?” Y/n sat up looking at him with emotional eyes. Could he just get where she was coming from?
“I had a lot of time to think about it. I do see your point as well as my own and I’m sorry.” Peter sighed, annoyed that he did in fact see her point and now he had to admit it. But he’d rather admit it than lose her. There was a reason Derek was so protective of her. She was one of the good one’s.
Y/n nodded, accepting his half-assed apology and admitted to her being right. Having made up Y/n patted the spot on the bed next to her, and the rest of the night they cuddled and eventually fell asleep.
At least Derek didn’t have to kill him. Again.

Imagine what Peter would have been like with Erica. Peter likes Lydia because she had the strength and isn’t afraid to give his sass and snark in return. Erica would be the same. She doesn’t care if he’s a former Alpha or that he’s Derek’s uncle, if he starts acting up, she’s quick to put him in his place.
And Peter never seems to get mad at her. Maybe because he admires her courage and strength, maybe because he sees a part of himself in her (the social outcast who was hurt—him with the fire and her with her epilepsy that nearly killed her). Maybe it’s the fact that she reminds him of Laura.
Imagine Peter not knowing how to be ‘nice’, but there are little things he does to show how he feels: bringing Erica a glass of water, saving the last dumpling when the pack is having takeout and giving it to her, rushing to her side of the pack is attacked, helping her to her feet during training, sitting with her when the full moons get rough.

Can all my Teen wolf and sterek people gather around real quick.
So what if Scott's pack and Derek all accidentally traveled back in time to when their parents went to school in Beacon Hills.
Now here's my version of this.
Claudia and Talia are soul sister besties. Claudia was just like Stiles, hyperactive, a spaz, short attention span, adhd, etc (also a freaking spark). Talia, was this cool werewolf future alpha girl with a hyperactive puppy for a best friend. (They would totally gossip and talk about Lydia's mom behind her back)
Noah (Stiles dad) was a loner. He was awkward. Couldn't talk to a woman to save his life (Claudia obviously made the first move). He was more invested in criminal law and mysteries.
Marissa (Scott's mom) was in her own corner. She briefly met Claudia and talked to her once or twice.
Lydia's mom (idk her name) was smart but played dumb and all that jass to win the hot guy.
I'm also thinking Peter definitely had a crush on Claudia when he was a kid during this time since she would babysit him a lot.
Claudia and Deaton are also besties and emissaries in training.
The Argent family are in Beacon Hills (I personally would not know how this would go but in intrigued)
Claudia and Talia are exactly like Scott and Stiles and getting into all sorts of trouble and adventures with Deaton at their side and hiding the secrets of the supernatural.
And all of Scott's pack plus Derek gets to see how their parents know each other and have met along with their adventures.
Let me know your version of this and enjoy

Code Breaker 1x12
“No, I’m not letting you leave them here,” Stiles shakes his head, his voice breaking at the thought of leaving them here to die. He couldn’t look Michael in the eye and tell him that he let his daughter bleed out on the lacrosse field.
Peter wiped the blood off the corner of his mouth with a handkerchief, “You don’t have a choice, Stiles. You’re coming with me.”
“Just kill me!” Stiles screams. “I don’t care anymore!”
Peter walks over to the boy, sticking his claws under Stiles’ chin, lifting him up by simply using just the tips of his fingers. “Call your friend. Tell Jackson where they are. That’s all you get.”
Stiles pulls out his phone, his hands shaking as he calls Jackson. The explanation is rushed, leaving the blonde with a plethora of questions Stiles didn’t have time to answer. He feels like his world is falling apart every time his eyes meet Fallon’s form. He can’t even tell if she’s breathing. A few tears finally slip from his eyes, him quickly wiping them so Peter wouldn’t see. He just hopes that Jackson brings Issac or someone to get them both to the hospital.
The only thing Stiles didn’t seem to notice was the way Fallon slowly sits up as soon as he and Peter turn to walk away. Her mind is fogged, nothing making sense to her. There’s a dull sting in her side, she feels like she’s walking through a dream. The world around her seems to be in a purple haze. Every direction she looks is covered by the pretty color. She’s not quite sure if what’s happening is real, or if she died when Peter bit her. Lydia lays still beside her, shallow breaths leaving her body. Fallon tilts her head, feeling the urge to reach out and touch her, but a more primal need fills her. She has somewhere she needs to go. Someone she needs to find.
· · ────── ·𖥸· ────── · ·
The woods were a maze of twisting shadows and silvery moonlight, and Fallon stumbled through them, disoriented, her mind fogged with confusion. She could barely remember how she’d gotten here. One moment she’d been at the dance, the next... darkness, followed by pain. Everything after that was a blur.
The only thing that seemed clear, cutting through the haze in her mind, was a single command that pounded with every beat of her heart: Find Derek.
But why? Why was that the only thought running through her mind? Her legs were heavy, her body exhausted, but she couldn’t stop moving. Fallon didn’t know how long she had been running. Maybe hours. Maybe minutes. Time seemed warped out here, twisted by the shadows and the overwhelming sense of urgency that filled her.
Find him.
The thought echoed in her head, like a voice that wasn’t her own, yet completely hers at the same time. She didn’t understand it, but she couldn’t ignore it. The forest pressed in around her, branches clawing at her arms and legs, her footsteps uneven and unsteady over the rough terrain. The cold bit at her skin, but there was a strange heat radiating from inside her, a burning sensation she couldn’t explain.
Her breath came in short, ragged bursts, each inhale sending a sharp pain through her chest. She stumbled over a root, her knee crashing into the earth as she hit the ground. Fallon groaned, clutching her side as she gasped for breath, but the pain didn’t stop her from getting back up.
She couldn’t stop. Not yet.
The moon hung high in the sky, bright and full, casting an eerie glow over the forest. Fallon stared up at it, squinting against the light. There was something about the moon tonight. It felt... powerful. She could feel its pull, like it was connected to her somehow, drawing energy from it. The burning in her veins flared again, and she clenched her fists, trying to fight off the sensation.
She had to keep moving. She had to find him.
Derek.
His name pulsed through her like a drumbeat, and her feet moved forward before she even realized it. Her body felt different, almost like it was working independently of her mind. Her senses were sharper—she could hear every rustle of the leaves, every snap of a twig underfoot, every breath of wind that swept through the trees.
But there was more than that. She could feel something else—something raw and primal stirring inside her. Something that both terrified and exhilarated her. It was as if her body was changing, becoming something new, something powerful. And it frightened her.
What is happening to me? Fallon wonders, her thoughts barely audible over the sound of her own rapid breathing.
The wind carried no answer, only the distant howl of a wolf in the night. The sound sent a shiver down her spine, her heartbeat quickening in response. She felt exposed out here, vulnerable, yet stronger than she’d ever felt before. It didn’t make sense. None of this made sense.
She pressed on, her feet sinking into the damp earth as she moved deeper into the woods. The trees loomed over her, their branches like skeletal fingers reaching out to grab her. But Fallon barely noticed. Her mind was too clouded, too focused on finding him.
Derek. He was the key to this, wasn’t he? He had to be. Why else would her mind keep returning to him? She needed answers, and Derek was the only one who could give them to her.
But where is he? Why does she need to find him?
The moonlight flickered between the trees, casting strange shadows that danced across the ground as Fallon wandered deeper into the forest. Every step felt heavier than the last, her body aching from the relentless push forward. She wasn’t even sure where she was anymore. The forest seemed endless, and every direction looked the same.
Her pulse was racing, and the burning sensation in her chest only intensified the further she went. Fallon could feel it, that primal energy, bubbling just beneath the surface of her skin. She didn’t know how to stop it. Didn’t know if she could stop it.
The branches whipped at her as she broke through the thicket, her breath coming in sharp gasps. She had to slow down. Just for a moment. She needed to think, to figure out what was happening to her. But every time she tried to focus, her mind clouded again, that same thought overpowering everything else.
Find him.
· · ────── ·𖥸· ────── · ·
Stiles stumbles into the hospital, out of breath and a strong feeling of panic in his chest. Nurses, Doctors, and patients all whirl around him, only making his anxieties grow. He just got away from Peter, the older man stealing his Jeep in the process. He got Derek’s location for the man and now his only priority is finding Lydia and Fallon. His only hope now is that they’re still alive for him to find.
He charges forward once he sees Lydia’s room, but is stopped by his father. Noah pushes him back slightly, jabbing his pointer finger into his son's chest. “You know what? It’s good that we’re in a hospital because I’m gonna kill you.”
Stiles stammers emotionally, “I’m– I’m sorry. I lost the keys to my Jeep. I had to run all the way here,” he explains trying to get a glimpse of the strawberry blonde. He hasn’t heard anything about Fallon yet.
“Stiles, I don’t care!” Noah exclaims angrily.
The boy finally sees Lydia in full, the girl completely unconscious, receiving her oxygen through a tube. “Is she gonna be okay?” He asks tiredly.
Noah sighs, looking back at the teenage girl with unsure eyes. “They don’t know…” he answers. “Partially because they don’t know what happened. She lost a lot of blood, but there’s something else going on with her.”
Stiles’ chest tightens, “W-what do you mean?” He asks broken heartedly.
“The doctors say it’s like she’s having an allergic reaction. Her body keeps going into shock.”
Stiles’ face falls as he realizes that means her body could be rejecting the bite. Suddenly a more prominent worry takes over his mind. “W-what about Fallon?” he asks with wide eyes. “Where is she? They told me Lydia was up here, but I didn’t hear anything about Fallon.”
Noah’s face scrunches in confusion. His own heart rate quickening, “What do you mean, ‘what about Fallon?’” He questions his son.
“Wait–” Stiles’ lip quivers. “Did Jackson not bring her in? I told him that Fallon and Lydia were on the lacrosse field,” his breathing quickens when he watches his dad get very worried in a short span of time.
“Stiles, Lydia was the only one Jackson brought in.” Noah reveals.
“No–” Stiles shakes his head, trying to keep his fear at bay. Where could she have gone? She was unconscious. “No. Dad, she was there, okay? She was hurt, bad. Like bleeding out from a wound on her side bad. She’s supposed to be here. Why– why isn’t she here? She couldn’t have just gotten up and walked away!”
Noah’s heart drops, but he calmly presses the button on his radio, “All units, I need an APB out on a missing girl. Brown hair, about 5’5, blue eyes.”
“She was wearing a pink sparkly dress with a slit on the side,” Stiles interjects, trying to give as much detail as possible.
His dad nods, ”Her name is Fallon Donovan. Was last seen wearing a pink dress with glitter embedded in it. She won’t have any ID on her, and according to a witness is injured. Wound to the side.”
Stiles runs a frustrated hand through his buzzed hair, his breathing more ragged than ever. He lost his best friend. His best friend since third freaking grade. He lost her. She could be dead, and it’s all because he let Peter control him.
Peter. Maybe he’s the reason she’s gone. Did he send someone to get her body? Why would he do that when he promised he wouldn’t hurt them? His mind runs at a million miles a minute until his dad pulls him out of the rabbit hole he’s going down.
“Stiles,” he snaps his fingers. “Did you see anything? I mean, do you have any idea who or what attacked them? We could use that to try and narrow down the search.”
Telling his father about Peter would mean revealing the entirety of the supernatural to him. He couldn’t risk putting his father in danger. “No,” he lies, hoping there’s another way to find Fallon. “No, I have no idea.”
“What about Scott?” Noah questions.
“What do you mean? What about him?”
“Did he see anything?” Noah elaborates, practically working with nothing to try and find his own best friend's daughter.
“What do you–” Stiles breathes out, confused. “Is he not here?”
“What are you talking about?” Noah furrows his eyebrows. “I've been calling him on his cell phone. I've gotten no response.”
That’s when Stiles remembers. Scott doesn’t have his phone. Derek does. “Yeah…” he mutters looking down to his feet. “And you’re not gonna get one.
· · ────── ·𖥸· ────── · ·
Fallon staggers, her legs nearly giving out beneath her as she pressed her back against a tree, trying to catch her breath. The world around her seemed to spin, the trees blurring into a dizzying swirl of darkness and light.
Her chest ached, and she could feel her pulse pounding in her ears, her skin prickling as that strange energy surged through her once again. It was almost too much, like her body was on fire from the inside out. She pressed a hand to her chest, trying to steady herself.
The urge to give up is present, but she needs him. She needs to know where he is. If he’s okay. If he can help her.
She pushed herself off the tree, her legs trembling as she forced herself to keep moving. There was no time to rest, no time to stop. She didn’t know how much longer she could keep going, but she didn’t have a choice.
Suddenly, she heard it—a growl, low and menacing, echoing through the trees.
Her heart leapt into her throat as she froze, her eyes darting through the darkness. The sound sent a wave of fear through her, but there was something else, too. A strange sense of familiarity. The growl wasn’t just any growl.
It was Derek.
Without thinking, Fallon took off in the direction of the sound, her legs moving on instinct alone. Her mind was too foggy to fully process what was happening, but she knew she had to reach him. She had to find him.
Branches snapped beneath her feet as she raced through the forest, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Fallon’s heart pounds loudly. She was getting closer. She could feel it.
The ground seemed to slope downward, and Fallon stumbled, her body careening forward as she slid down the incline. She hit the ground hard, her knees scraping against the dirt, but she barely registered the pain. She pushed herself back up, her pulse racing as she darted forward again.
The growl came once more, a low rumble that sent a shiver down her spine, but it was closer now. Much closer. Fallon’s heart raced as she pushed herself harder, her legs burning as she sprinted through the trees.
The moonlight flickered overhead, casting strange shadows that seemed to dance around her. But Fallon didn’t care. All she could think about was Derek, and the primal, animalistic sound of his growl pulling her forward.
And then, just as suddenly as it had started, the growl stopped.
Fallon skidded to a halt, her breath catching in her throat as she stood in the middle of a small clearing. The forest was eerily silent now, the wind barely rustling the leaves overhead. Her pulse thundered in her ears as she scanned the area, her eyes wide with confusion.
“Derek?” Fallon’s voice was shaky, her body trembling from both fear and exhaustion.
But there was no response.
The silence was deafening, and Fallon’s heart sank as she realized she was alone again. She hadn’t found him. Not yet. But she was close. She had to be.
Her legs felt like they were made of lead as she took a few hesitant steps forward, her chest heaving with each breath. The burning sensation in her veins has intensified, and Fallon could feel her body vibrating with that strange energy. It was overwhelming, like her body was on the verge of breaking apart.
She staggers forward, clutching her chest as she gasps for breath. The moon seemed impossibly bright overhead, its light almost blinding as it bathed the clearing in an otherworldly glow. Fallon squinted against it, her vision blurring as the world seemed to tilt on its axis.
She shakes her head, the purple in her vision becoming more clear as she tries to push through. A low growl emits from her own chest as a newfound energy finds its way into her veins. She sucks in a breath, the pine trees above making her chest pang from the freshness. The air is too crisp to avoid the jabbing in her chest, but she ignores it.
The growl she heard reverberates in her head as she tries to follow the sound. It scares her how her body seems to know exactly where to go just by sound alone. She replays it over and over again until her body halts in front of a familiar structure.
The Hale House.
Her brows furrow, until she gets a rather strong smoky scent of leather and pine. It fills her nose and she closes her eyes. It’s him. He’s here. That’s when she also notices a different scent lingering in the air. It’s familiar to her. Fresh soap, cedar, with a slight hint of eucalyptus. It smells energetic and warm. Much like Scott. He’s here too. He found Derek the same way she did.
She travels through an unnecessary amount of brush and weeds, finding an underground entrance. Her mind is still repeating the same mantra over and over again. The scent gets stronger and pulls her through the winding pathways of the underground looking jail. All of her senses are on overdrive. She can hear, smell, and see things that no normal human should be able to.
“Ready for some more fun?” A dark voice fills her ears. She assumes it’s a hunter. She’s careful not to give away her location, walking on the tips of her toes to remain unnoticed. “To be honest, my knuckles are kind of hurting... So, I brought some help. But, I need to warn ya– I used to play in college.”
She stops when she hears the sound of the bat being caught. Right before she turns a corner, she notices Scott standing in the middle of the hallway, no doubt staring the hunter down. “…I brought a little help too.” Derek reveals.
Scott moves smoothly into the room, eyes glowing yellow as Derek knocks the hunter out. Fallon wonders how neither of them have picked up on her scent, but that’s a question for later. She clutches her side, the bleeding slowing, but still rather prominent.
Chains rattle as she moves further down the way. The brunette stops right before the room Derek’s being held in. She peeks around the corner, watching Derek struggle to pull his other arm out of its restraint.
“Scott, help me with this,” he commands urgently, not wanting to get caught by Kate who is no doubt going to return soon.
“No.”
Fallon fights the primal urge to growl at the defiance. She doesn’t understand why her anger is so high, but what she does understand is that Derek needs help. And if Scott isn’t going to do it, then she will.
“What?” Derek looks at Scott in disbelief.
The younger boy takes a brave step forward, standing up to Derek, “Not until you tell me how to stop Peter.”
Derek tugs at the chain again, “You really wanna talk about this right now?” He asks exasperatedly.
“He’s going after Allison and her family. He’s going to kill them.”
“So what?!” Derek shouts, not exactly caring if the Argents end up dead. Fallon can feel his anger, the bubbling rage that he uses to keep himself human. The purple tint over her eyes makes the room around her look much more menacing, darker than it actually is. She hides in the shadows, creeping carefully against the wall, using the lack of light to her advantage.
“So, tell me how to stop him,” Scott demands calmly.
“You can’t!” Derek reality checks him. “All right?” He once again frustratedly tugs in the chains holding him in place. He angrily looks at Scott, “Now, I don’t know when Kate’s coming back, so just get me out of this right now! Get me out right now!”
“Promise you’ll help me,” Scott persists.
“You want me to risk my life for your girlfriend?” Derek asks furiously, baring his teeth at Scott. “For your stupid little teenage crush that means absolutely nothing? You're not in love, Scott! You're sixteen years old! You're a child!”
“Maybe you're right…” Scott nods, conceding to his point. “But, I know something you don't. Peter said he didn't know what he was doing when he killed your sister, right? He lied.” He pulls out a crumpled up autopsy report from his pocket, holding it up for Derek to read. “Remember this?” There’s a dead deer in the center, a spiral embedded into its side. “This is what brought your sister back to Beacon Hills, right?”
“Where did you get that?” Derek asks breathily.
“My boss told me three months ago, someone came into the clinic asking for a copy of this picture. Do you wanna know who it was?” Scott asks rhetorically, planning on revealing the information without an answer. “Peter's nurse. They brought your sister here so that Peter could kill her and become the Alpha, and that's why you're going to help me.”
Derek’s jaw clenches with anger, his nose flaring as he processes the new information. He balls his locked up hand into a fist, making Scott think he’s still being defiant. The boy turns around with a sigh, “Just say you’ll help me, and I’ll help you unlock your other–”
Fallon takes that as her opportunity, she sneaks up behind Derek, ripping the cuff off of his wrist. Scott stops in his tracks when he hears the metal hitting the ground. He spins around and sees Derek freed, with a very dazed Fallon standing behind him, her eyes flashing purple.
“Fallon?” Scott’s eyes widen. It takes Derek a moment to process that the girl is the one who just released him. He takes in her appearance. Still in her winter formal dress, the right side of it torn and drenched with blood. Her feet are caked with mud and dirt and that’s when he realizes Peter did exactly what he told him not to.
“He bit her,” Derek says angrily.
“Derek…” the girl mumbles, swaying back and forth on her feet. “Found… you,” she barely manages to get that out before collapsing. Derek surges forward, catching the girl in his arms.
He cranes his neck to fully assess the wound, his heart pounding rapidly. His breathing speeds up and his eyes grow worried at the thought of her dying from this. But he slowly calms when he sees that the injury is healing. Her body isn’t rejecting the bite. But she’s still in no condition to be running around in the woods.
“We need to get her out of here,” Derek says. “Now.”
Scott nods his head in agreement, leading the way out of the cellar. They climb uphill and out of the gate and begin trudging through the forest. Fallon’s limp body sways back and forth, Derek cupping the back of her head so she doesn’t accidentally break her neck.
“I don’t understand,” Scott turns to the man. “If he just bit her, how did she know where to find you? I didn’t even think people could adjust that quickly after being bitten.” He says, completely lost as he stares at his best friend with concern.
“I don’t know…” Derek mutters. “But she hasn’t completely adjusted, that’s why she passed out.”
Fallon’s eyes flutter open, but this time they’re her regular color. She groans as the pain in her side returns, no longer just a dull ache. It’s come back with a stinging vengeance. Though the wound is definitely not as bad as it would be if she wasn’t rapidly healing.
She startles when she notices she’s in Derek’s arms. The last thing she remembers was running outside to find Lydia. “Derek…?” She questions, voice groggy. Her head spins and that’s when she notices her best friend, “Scott?”
“Fallon!” Scott exclaims, practically ripping the girl out of Derek’s arms.
She wriggles her way out of Derek’s hold, planting her wobbly feet on the ground. She uses Derek’s shoulder for support. “What the hell happened?” She asks, looking at her own appearance with disgust. “And why am I in the middle of the woods?” That's when she suddenly remembers what Derek did to her a mere few days ago. She slaps his chest roughly, “And where have you been?! You sneak into my room and try to kill me only to disappear for two freaking days!”
“You tried to kill her?” Scott asks angrily.
“I didn’t try to kill her,” Derek rolls his eyes, annoyed. “I gave her a warning, one she clearly didn’t listen to considering the fact she has a whole chunk missing from her side.”
“I didn’t exactly have time to build a relationship with a whole family of hunters,” Fallon replies snidely. “I had about as much time as you were missing.” She looks down at her hip, swallowing thickly as she watches the skin literally mend back together. “So– I–” she sucks in a breath. “Does this mean that I’m…?” She looks at Scott and Derek, both of them sensing the fear in her.
“We don’t know yet,” Scott says comfortingly. “We didn’t see much, but you managed to find Derek on your own. You don’t remember any of it?”
“No,” she shakes her head. “The last thing I remember was going to find Lydia on the lacrosse field. She was looking for Jackson.”
“Well,” Scott sends Derek a worried look. The only thing they do know is that she’s not a normal werewolf. At least not one they know of. Her eyes were purple. “We don’t know for sure, but we do know that you’re something.” He watches as her face falls and tears begin to well up behind her eyes. Of course, being who she is, she tries to hide them. “I’m sorry, Fall.”
She sniffles, waving her hand in the air. “It’s fine,” she mumbles. “I’m fine. Can we please just get out of here?”
Derek has never felt more guilty. He told her he wouldn’t let her get bit. He might’ve threatened her, but that doesn’t mean he actually wanted this to happen. His goal was to protect her, and he did the exact opposite. The very person he’s been helping hurt her. Knowing Peter killed his sister and deliberately went behind Derek’s back to bite Fallon makes the man beyond furious.
Scott helps Fallon climb up the small hill that leads away from the Hale house. All the girl wants to do is sleep for the next twenty years. She’s never felt more exhausted in her life. But apparently, traveling with these two means that request is simply too much to wish for.
“Hey, hold on, hold on, hold on,” Derek stops them, an uneasy feeling settling in his stomach. He analyzes the woods around them. “Something doesn't feel right.”
Scott slings Fallon’s arm over his shoulder, trying to ease the pain she’s feeling as much as possible. Now that her adrenaline has worn off, she’s going to feel the ache of the bite for the next hour or so. That's what happened to him. “What do you mean?” He asks, both him and Fallon trying to see what’s making him skeptical.
“ I don't know,” Derek exhales. “It’s- it's kind of like it was–”
“No!” Scott interjects loudly. “Don’t say ‘too easy.’ People say ’too easy’ and bad things happen,” Derek rolls his head to the side irritatedly. Scott raises his eyebrows challengingly, “What, do you think finding you was easy? Getting away from Allison's dad? Fallon getting bit by your uncle?! None of this has been easy!” He exclaims.
Derek nods his head with a sigh, realizing he might be being a bit over dramatic. “Fine. You're right.”
Scott throws his head back, “Thank you. Now can we please go–”
Scott is cut off by a loud and high pitched whirring. Fallon’s head snaps into the direction it’s coming from, and she gasps as an arrow lodges itself into Derek’s shoulder. He topples over weakly, the wind being knocked out of him as his energy is still depleted after being tortured for the past two days.
“Derek!” She yells, rushing over to him. Another arrow flies through the air, nailing him in the leg. She drops down next to him, moving quickly to try and remove the arrows. She glances in the direction where Derek once had suspicions of and she sees Allison with a large bow in her hand, Kate standing by her side. She whispers something into her niece's ear.
“Now the flash-bolt.”
Fallon’s eyes widen, “Scott!” She screams. “Cover your eyes!” She surges forward, hiding Derek and her own face with her arms, hoping Scott had enough time to do it for himself.
He didn’t. The arrow fires, hitting the tree next to him. A bright light flashes, momentarily blinding the werewolf as he also falls to the ground. He grunts out in pain, the bright light giving him an instant headache. Derek clenches his teeth as Fallon finally pulls out the arrow in his leg. “I know, I know,” she says. “I’m sorry. But you gotta get up.”
She pulls him to his feet, their combined strength being enough to get both of them up. They pull each other closer to Scott, Derek grabbing him by the collar of his jacket. They stumble and fall as they try to run away. Fallon trips over a branch on the floor in front of the Hale house due to Derek losing his grip on her. All three of them fall to the floor, incapacitated in some way.
“Fallon! Scott! Go!” Derek begs them, hoping that they can find a way to escape. Scott sits there, his vision still not fully focused as Allison comes out of the tree line. Fallon grits her teeth in pain, having fallen on the side that’s still healing. Once Derek sees the hunter coming, he pulls Fallon over to him, blocking her body with his own.
Scott scoots backwards as his girlfriend/ex-girlfriend continues stalking towards him. “Allison, I can explain,” he says in a panic.
“Stop lying,” the girl stops him, not interested in what he has to say. “For once, stop lying,” she hisses.
“I was gonna tell you the truth at the formal. I was gonna tell you everything... because everything that I said, everything that I did–
“Was to protect me,” Allison interrupts rudely. She tilts her head condescendingly as Scott looks up at her with pleading eyes.
“Yes,” the boy confirms.
Tears well up in Allison’s eyes. She shakes her head at his sentiment, “I don’t believe you.”
Kate groans in relief, nonchalantly waltzing over to the scene with a gun in hand. “Thank God,” she huffs tiredly. “Now shoot him before I have to shoot myself.”
Fallon feels Derek tense up when Kate draws near. The newly bitten girl reaches forward, gently placing her hand on Derek’s back to assure him she’s still there. She shuffles around, moving into a more defensive position. Watching Allison betray her friends so easily makes Fallon realize where her loyalties really were this entire time. They were never safe with her. Maybe Peter was right.
Allison looks back at her aunt nervously. She blinks a few times, not comprehending the request. “You… you said we were just gonna catch them.”
“We did that,” Kate nods patronizingly. “Now we’re gonna kill them.” She raises her gun, firing one shot at Derek’s chest, right where Fallon had just pulled out the arrow. Fallon goes to try and attack the woman, but Kate is quick to cock the gun at her. She tilts her head, a menacing smile covering her face. “Too bad you had to go getting involved in things that didn’t concern you,” she pouts fakely. “I actually kind of liked you.” That’s when she pulls the trigger, a bullet whizzing into Fallon’s thigh. She grunts in pain, falling to the floor as blood pools around the wound. She starts applying pressure to it, trying to get the bullet to come to the surface. She remembers Derek saying that it won’t heal unless the bullet is out.
Allison feels the urge to run towards Fallon, but stops when Kate approaches her. “She-she’s innocent,” Allison says with glossy eyes. “She hasn’t done anything. She isn’t a werewolf.”
“Oh honey,” Kate giggles. “Why don’t you look at that big bite mark on her side? I’d beg to differ.” She turns her attention back towards a terrified looking Scott. “Now kill him.” Allison shifts uneasily. Her mouth opens and closes, at a loss for what to do. She can’t just kill the boy she loves. Kate’s face falls, a small groan leaving her lips. “Oh no… I know that look. That’s the ‘you’re gonna have to do it yourself’ look.” She sighs, clicking her tongue, but doesn’t hesitate to hold her gun up, directly aligned with Scott’s head.
Fallon ignores the bullet still lodged in her leg as she tries to crawl towards Scott. However, Derek is able to gain enough strength to pull her back down. He tugs the girl into his chest, preventing her from going anywhere near Kate or Allison. She whispers Scott’s name, calling for him, telling him to run. She wants to protect him, to throw her body in front of his, but Derek’s tight hold stops her. He keeps his arms coiled around her midsection, not giving her any room to escape.
Allison surges forward, “Kate– Kate, what are you doing?!” She tries to stop her aunt, but Kate is quick to shove Allison to the ground.
The older woman tilts her head, “I love those brown eyes…” She cooes before placing her finger methodically on the trigger, but just as she’s about to shoot, someone calls her name.
Chris.
“Kate!” The man’s commanding voice gets all of their attention. His gun is gripped tightly in his hand as he stares down his sister. He takes a step forward, “I know what you did,” he says accusatively. “Put the gun down.”
As the chaos unfolds around them, Fallon lays on the cold ground, her breath coming in sharp, ragged gasps. The pain from the gunshot wound radiates through her body, mingling with the strange, pulsing energy coursing under her skin as the transition into a werewolf slowly takes hold. She clutches her thigh, her fingers slick with blood, as Derek pushes himself up beside her, his own pain evident but masked behind his usual stoic expression.
"You need to focus," Derek murmurs, his voice low, barely above a whisper as he presses his hand over her wound, applying gentle pressure. His face is tight with pain, but his gaze never wavered from hers. "You’re healing… but you need to control it."
Fallon clenches her jaw, fighting to keep the overwhelming pain at bay. “It hurts, Derek…” Her voice is strained, barely managing to push the words out as her body trembled. She could hear Kate and Chris arguing in the background, but it felt distant, almost like a blur compared to the searing heat of her wound.
“I know,” Derek replies, his voice still calm, though the urgency in his eyes was clear. "But you’re stronger than this. The moon is giving you strength. Use it."
She nods weakly, squeezing her eyes shut. The energy from the moon seemed to flicker within her, almost like it was waiting for her to take control, but it was slipping through her fingers. Her breaths were shallow, each one sending a sharp pain through her chest.
Derek’s hand moves to her cheek, forcing her to look at him. His face was closer now, his eyes piercing through the fog of pain clouding her mind. “Fallon, breathe. You have to let the pain fuel you, not overwhelm you.”
She opens her eyes, her gaze meeting his, the connection between them grounding her in a way nothing else could. For a moment, the chaos around them fell away, and it was just Derek—steady, strong, a quiet force anchoring her. Fallon took a shaky breath, her fingers curling around his wrist for support. The warmth of his skin against hers was the only thing keeping her tethered to the moment.
“I’m trying,” she whispers, her voice barely audible.
Derek’s grip tightened, a flicker of something almost gentle in his otherwise stoic expression. "I know you are. You’re going to heal, Fallon. You’re not going anywhere."
The sound of Kate’s voice rang out again, “I did what I was told to do.” It’s a harsh contrast to the moment between them, but Derek didn’t flinch. Fallon, despite the agony she felt, found strength in his words. She took a deep breath, focusing on the steady rise and fall of his chest next to hers, feeling the energy begin to shift inside her. The pain was still there, but it was duller now, less consuming.
"Stay with me," Derek murmurs, his voice low but firm. "Just a little longer."
Fallon nodded, her hand still holding onto him as the faint glimmer of healing began to take over. She wasn’t sure if she could fight off the transition completely, but with Derek beside her, she knew she wasn’t alone.
“No one asked you to murder innocent people! There were children in that house, ones who were human,” he stares at his sister with nothing but disappointment in his eyes. ”Look what you're doing now! You're holding a gun at a sixteen-year-old boy with no proof he's spilled human blood! We go by the Code– Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent.”
“We hunt those who hunt us,” Allison whispers, suddenly regretting all of this evening's choices.
Kate rolls her eyes, moving to try and shoot Scott again, until Chris points his gun directly at her head. “Put the gun down,” he commands firmly. When Kate doesn’t surrender, he pulls the trigger, the bullet barely missing Kate’s face, launching into the tree behind her. “Before I put you down,” his voice is laced with warning.
Kate finally listens, allowing Scott a moment to breathe. Then there’s a small creaking sound that makes everyone tense up as they look to the front door of the burnt down house. Derek is quick to scoot him and Fallon back, both of them getting the sense that the following events are not going to be pretty.
“Allison,” Chris cautiously calls out to his daughter. “Get back.”
The door opens slowly, an eerie tone filling the atmosphere. Chris and Kate’s gun immediately goes to the door. Scott shoots up to his feet, claws out and ready for a fight. Derek and Fallon on the other hand stand up slowly and carefully. Derek’s eyes flash blue, “Stay behind me,” he whispers.
Fallon scoffs, her own eyes flashing back at him in offense. She can’t control them, but it was the perfect moment of retaliation. “No,” she defies him, moving to stand at his side. “I’m helping.”
He growls under his breath, but figures this isn’t the best time to lecture her. He rolls his neck, his Cannes slowly revealing themselves. Fallon gulps, realizing that might be her by the time the next full moon rolls around.
Instead of heeding her father’s warning, Allison gets up and grips her bow tightly. “What is it?” She questions.
“It’s the Alpha,” Scott answers.
One by one, the circle of people are taken down by Peter. Chris goes down first, then Allison, and then Scott. Which leaves Kate being the only one standing. She spins around, trying to catch Peter in a moment of weakness, her gun at the ready. “Come on!” She taunts the powerful man, urging him to try and get her. “Come on!”
For whatever reason, Peter leaves Derek and Fallon untouched. They both watch curiously, waiting for a moment to intervene. But watching Kate squirm wasn’t such a terrible thing. Fallon would probably have cared a bit more if the woman hadn’t just shot here a mere three minutes ago.
As Kate spins around once more, Peter appears in front of her. His hand grabs her wrist, the one holding the gun. She grunts out in pain as he squeezes her arm so tightly that his knuckles turn white. She fires her gun, desperately hoping one of the bullets hits him, but it’s of no use. Every single one of them fly in the air, the casings gracefully falling down to the floor.
Peter hits her hand roughly causing the blonde woman to scream and drop her gun. Her scream is halted by Peter wrapping his hand around her neck. Apparently the Hale’s have a thing for strangulation. She screams in pain as Peter chucks her across the clearing and onto the front porch of the house. She cries out, her back hitting the rotting wood with a loud thud before Peter drags her into the house.
“No!” Allison screams, running into the house in hopes of saving her aunt.
A lot of commotion goes on inside the house. Derek moves to go towards the front door, but once he notices Fallon trying to follow him, he stops. He grabs her by the arms, picking her up and setting her down far behind him. “You’re not coming with me,” he says.
“Yes,” she corrects him. “I am.”
“No,” he mocks her tone. “You’re not. You’re going to stay out here where it’s safe.”
“The second you leave I won’t be safe!” She argues with him. “Just stop being a stubborn ass and let me go with you!”
Derek lets out an annoyed breath, but nonetheless allows the brunette to follow him in. Scott also joins them as they dart inside the house, just in time as Peter starts to advance on Allison. Scott and Derek transform easily, baring their teeth as they get ready to attack Peter. Loud growls escape their lips as Fallon just stands there, struggling to even get her claws to show. They make this look much easier than it actually is.
Scott charges towards Peter, the two of them fighting which gives Derek enough time to help Fallon. “Stop thinking so much!” He yells at her. “It won’t happen if you overthink it.”
“I’m trying, Derek!” She snaps, ducking as a piece of wood flies at her head, courtesy of Scott and Peter. “Not exactly like riding a bike!”
Peter turns his attention towards his nephew after he’s satisfied with throwing Scott around. Derek grunts, “Dig deep!” He advises. “Find something that makes you angry. That makes your pulse rise, and lean into it.”
Peter laughs, punching Derek in the face with no remorse. “She’s not ready. You’re sending her to her death, Derek.”
Scott stands up and lunges at Peter, claws outstretched, but Peter sidesteps effortlessly, sending him crashing into the wall. Fallon watches, heart racing, knowing she needs to help, but her body isn't responding. She’s stuck between human and whatever she is, unable to break free.
“Fallon!” Derek barks at her. “You can do this. Focus on your heart rate. Get angry and use it.”
Fallon squeezes her eyes shut, forcing herself to block out the sound of Peter’s taunts, the chaos around her. She focuses on the rhythmic pounding of her heart, letting it grow louder in her ears. She thinks about the fear she felt for Allison, the anger towards Peter, and the fire in her blood when Derek yelled at her. The tension of the moment surges through her body, sparking something deep inside.
Her pulse quickened, and with it, she felt the shift. Her body responded, bones snapping and realigning as her form began to change. The pain is excruciating, but she embraces it, letting the power of the full moon wash over her. Her senses sharpening, her vision clearing, and suddenly, the wolf inside her is unleashed.
The energy coursing through her feels unstoppable, like she can tear the entire house apart with her bare hands. She locks eyes with Peter, her eyes glowing a bright shade of purple, her lips curling back into a snarl as she steps forward, her claws glinting in the dim light.
Peter’s smirk falters, just for a moment, as he takes in her form. “Interesting,” he muses, “but still inexperienced.”
Fallon charges at him, moving faster than she ever thought possible, her claws slicing through the air. Derek and Scott flank her, working together to keep Peter on the defensive. Fallon’s blows are powerful, each one sending shockwaves through the room, but Peter dodges them with ease, his experience as an Alpha giving him the upper hand.
Scott manages to land a punch to Peter’s jaw, sending him stumbling back. Fallon sees her opening and leaps forward, swiping at his chest with all her strength. Her claws meet flesh, leaving deep gashes across Peter’s torso, but it isn’t enough to bring him down.
Peter roars in fury, his red eyes glowing with rage as he swipes at Fallon, knocking her off her feet. She crashes into the wall with a grunt, the wind knocked out of her. Before she can recover, Peter is on her, his hand wrapping around her throat as he lifts her off the ground.
“You think you can fight me?” Peter growls, his voice dripping with venom. “You’re nothing but a child playing with power you don’t understand.”
Fallon claws at his arm, trying to break free, but his grip is like iron. She gasps for air, her vision blurring as the edges of her consciousness begin to fade.
Suddenly, Derek is there, ramming into Peter and knocking him off balance. Fallon falls to the floor, coughing and gasping for breath. Derek stands over her protectively, his own body battered but still standing strong.
Scott joins them, standing beside Derek as the two of them face off against Peter. "Fallon, stay down!" Scott shouts, but Fallon isn’t done yet. She pushes herself to her feet, her body trembling with exhaustion but her determination unwavering.
Peter chuckles darkly, wiping the blood from his mouth. “Is this all you’ve got? Three against one, and you still can’t take me down?”
The three of them run at Peter together, their attacks coordinated, but it still isn’t enough. Peter is faster, stronger, and more experienced. He blocks their blows with ease, countering with vicious strikes that send them sprawling across the room.
Fallon tries to stand again, but her body wouldn’t obey. The shift has taken too much out of her, and her strength is fading fast. She watches as Derek and Scott continue to fight, but they are losing ground.
Peter grabs Scott by the throat, lifting him off the ground just as he had with Fallon. Derek tries to intervene, but Peter swatted him away like he was nothing. “This ends now,” Peter growls, his red eyes glowing with lethal intent.
He throws Scott out of what could’ve been the only window left standing in this house. His body hits the woodsy floor with a loud crash, leaving Derek and Fallon badly beaten on the floorboards inside. Peter jumps out the window, fully transformed as he focuses his full attention on Scott. Fallon groans as she tries to crawl over to Derek who is writhing in pain on the floor. She hears a loud honk from outside and immediately gets a whiff of Stiles’ scent.
“I’ll be back,” she whispers to Derek, placing her palm on his chest. “Don’t move. Let yourself heal,” she instructs him, leaving before he could protest.
Once she exits the house, she jumps backwards as a bottle of liquid flies past her and towards Peter. A Molotov cocktail. She smiles, happy Stiles remembered that little tidbit from the night in the school. Unfortunately, Peter catches the flask with ease.
“Oh, damn…” Stiles says weakly.
Scott’s eyes travel to Allison’s bow and arrow. His golden eyes light up with an idea, “Allison!” He shouts, throwing the weapon over to her. Fallon is quick to jump out of the way as the hunter fires an arrow, hitting the glass dead on. The collision causes the flask to explode, fire encasing Peter’s form.
Everyone watches in complete horror as the man tries to put out the flames on his arm, but it’s no use. Especially when Jackson chucks another flask at him, hitting his other side. His entire body is now on fire. He growls in pain, staggering aimlessly around the front yard of his old home. Fallon would feel bad for the man, he’s about to die the same way he did the first time, but he did try to kill her and her friends countless times. Her empathy can only go so far.
She notices the flaming Alpha about to attack Allison. A low growl reverberates in her throat as she charges at him without much thought. Scott does the same, both of them striking Peter harshly, which sends him spiraling into the trees in the other direction.
Peter shifts back into his human form, his skin completely torched. Scott and Fallon heave heavily where they stand, both of them still stuck in their werewolf form. Or in Fallon’s case, what appears to be a werewolf-like form.
Inappropriately timed, Allison carefully walks over to Scott, kissing him softly. Fallon looks away, not believing after just trying to kill them that Allison has the audacity to do this. Especially in front of her hunter father.
Stiles’ eyes glaze over Fallon’s form. He lets out a relieved sigh, knowing she’s alive and well. But he’s also slightly terrified. She’s a werewolf. At least, he thinks she is. He watches as the brunette closes her eyes, sucking in a deep breath and suddenly she transforms back. Not a trace of werewolf on her. She did that a lot quicker than Scott did.
Fallon twirls in a circle, wondering if Derek ever made his way out of the house. She gets her answer when she hears leaves crunching under someone’s heavy footsteps. Her eyes snap over to Derek who is stalking towards Peter, a clear mission to accomplish.
“Derek?” She calls out softly to him. He doesn’t stop moving. He doesn’t even look back at her. She furrows her eyebrows, “What are you doing?”
He stops over his Uncle’s twitching body, straddling him. The only thing on Derek’s mind is vengeance and power. His claws protrude out where his nails should be and Scott scrambles to his feet. “Wait!” the boy begs Derek, running over to stop him. “You said the cure comes from the one who bit you. Derek, if you do this, I'm dead. Her father, her family–what am I supposed to do?”
Everyone watches tensely. Derek doesn’t even bother turning around, he just keeps his burning gaze on Peter. No one’s sure what his next move will be. Most of them hoping he chooses the path to help Scott.
“You've... already... decided…” Peter says weakly “I can smell it on you...!”
Without even a second's hesitation, Derek raises his hand in the air, claws at the ready. “Wait! No, no! Don’t!” Scott shouts, but it’s too late. Blood flies through the air from Peter’s slashed throat. The man gurgles on his own blood before the red fades from his irises, the power transferring into Derek.
Fallon’s jaw is on the floor. She takes a step back from Derek, a small amount of fear creeping up inside of her. She didn’t think Derek would kill anyone. Even though Peter was a psychotic serial killer, she still never expected Derek to take his life. Let alone for the power of an Alpha. His eyes meet hers, his once blue irises turning into a deep shade of red. One that she isn’t used to.
“I’m the Alpha now.”

“Do we really think this is necessary?” Fallon asks Scott quietly as he unlocks the door to the animal clinic. “I’m really not that curious.”
“You might not be, but the rest of us are,” Scott counters. “And I think Deaton might be able to help give us some answers.”
“How could your boss possibly know what I am? Last time I checked, his specialty was dogs and cats, not were-people,” she says sarcastically.
“He knows a lot more than I do,” Scott tells her with a quickened tone. “Trust me. I think he can help.” He guides her to the back room where Deaton is already waiting. He has a small smile on his face as if he were already expecting them to come in.
"So," Deaton begins, his voice steady, “I hear you’ve had quite the night.”
Fallon offers a tired, sarcastic smirk. “You could say that.”
Scott, still trying to process everything himself, jumps in. “Deaton, you have to help her. She’s different. The way she shifted, the strength—everything’s just... different.”
Deaton’s brow furrows slightly as he looks from Scott to Fallon, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. “Different how?”
Fallon shifts in her spot, rubbing her hands together anxiously. “I don’t know… It was like I couldn’t control it at first, but then, when I finally did, it was… intense.” She hesitates, searching for the right words. “It felt like the moon was... in me. Not just influencing me but actually... fueling me. I don’t know how else to explain it.”
Deaton leans back slightly, a rare hint of intrigue flickering across his normally composed face. “The moon was fueling you?”
Scott nods enthusiastically. “It’s not like how I turn, Deaton. She—she’s different. Like, stronger.” He pauses, “And her eyes are purple!”
Deaton moves toward one of his bookshelves, pulling down a heavy, worn tome. He places it gently on the table, opening it with care as Fallon and Scott lean in, trying to catch a glimpse of whatever knowledge the pages hold.
“I’ve read about something like this before,” Deaton says, flipping through the pages. “But only in legends. The kind of thing passed down through the ages, not meant to be believed, just stories.”
Scott’s eyes widen as he stares at the book. “Legends?”
Deaton stops on a page filled with intricate drawings and old, faded text. “Lunar Sentinels. Guardians of the moon’s power. Werewolves unlike any others, tied directly to the lunar cycle. But not just influenced by it—amplified by it. The moon’s energy flows through them, granting them heightened abilities, strength, and instincts.”
Fallon blinks, trying to absorb the gravity of what Deaton was saying. “So… that’s me? I’m a Lunar Sentinel?”
Deaton nods slowly. “It’s incredibly rare. I’ve never encountered one in my lifetime. I’ve only read about them in texts like this, and even these are more legend than fact. Most werewolves don’t have such a strong connection to the moon, but you... you’re different.”
Scott shakeshis head in disbelief. “Wait, so Fallon’s... like a werewolf, but more powerful?”
“Not necessarily more powerful, but... unique.” Deaton explains. “She’s directly tied to the moon’s energy, which can give her abilities other werewolves don’t have, particularly during certain phases of the moon. But with that power comes unpredictability.”
Fallon’s brows furrow. “Unpredictability?”
Deaton closes the book softly, his gaze meeting hers. “The stronger the connection to the moon, the more volatile it can be. You’ll need to learn control, Fallon, perhaps even more than Scott did. The moon’s phases will affect you differently, and you may find yourself stronger during full moons... and more vulnerable during new moons.”
Scott rubs the back of his neck, still processing. “So, what do we do? How do we help her?”
Deaton smiles faintly. “You’ll need to train, both of you. Fallon will have to learn how to harness this power, how to control it. The strength that comes with being a Lunar Sentinel is a gift, but without control, it could be dangerous.”
Fallon swallows, her heart pounding in her chest. The weight of everything is now suddenly overwhelming. She never asked for this, never wanted it, but now it was hers. The idea of being something so rare, so powerful, scared her as much as it intrigued her.
Scott reaches out and places a comforting hand on her shoulder. “You’re not alone in this, Fall. We’ll figure it out together.”
She nods, feeling a surge of gratitude for Scott’s unwavering support. “Thanks, Scott. I... I appreciate it.”
Deaton, ever the calm guide, stands once more. “I’ll look into more information about Lunar Sentinels, but for now, just focus on grounding yourself. The moon may fuel you, but you are in control of your own power.”
As they turn to leave, Scott couldn’t help but glance back at Deaton one last time. “This is crazy. We’re really dealing with something... legendary here, huh?”
Deaton smiles knowingly. “In Beacon Hills, Scott, legends have a way of becoming reality.”

Returning home from the animal clinic felt odd to Fallon. She doesn’t know what to do with all this newfound information about herself. She barely even knew what to tell her dad about her disappearing after the formal. Thankfully, Chris Argent gave her and Scott a pretty good alibi, despite the older man pretty much hating Scott.
She collapses onto her bed, her eyes going straight up to the ceiling, “I’m a werewolf…” she mumbles.
“That’s one way to come to terms with it.”
Fallon shoots up in her bed, eyes widening as she sees Derek just casually sitting in her desk chair. He gently closes the book he was reading, his eyes meeting hers with their usual stoic glare. Yet his words have some sort of playfulness to them.
““Jesus, Derek!” she yelps, clutching her chest. “Can’t you knock like a normal person?”
He shrugs, his usual intense stare is locked on her. “I needed to see you,” he explains shortly.
Fallon rolls her eyes, her pulse still racing from the jumpscare. “Well, you scared the crap out of me. One of these days, you're going to actually give me a heart attack.”
Derek’s expression softens ever so slightly, but his eyes hold the weight of everything that had happened. “I wanted to apologize.”
Fallon frowns, crossing her arms. Apologizing isn’t exactly Derek’s thing, so whatever this is, it has to be serious. “Apologize? For what?”
“For killing Peter in front of you,” he says quietly, standing from the chair and taking a step towards her. “And for not being able to stop you from getting bitten.”
The sincerity in his voice hits her like a punch to the gut. Fallon shakes her head, trying to brush it off. “Derek, you don’t have to apologize. Peter was a psycho. I’m not exactly losing any sleep over him being dead.”
Derek’s jaw tightens, and he glances down as if weighing his next words carefully. “Still... I should’ve protected you better.”
Fallon huffs, sitting down on the edge of her bed. “I don’t need protecting, Derek. And, in case you forgot, you were kind of busy getting your ass kicked at the time. I’m not exactly holding it against you.”
Derek looked back up at her, his eyes searching hers. “You’re taking this better than I expected.”
“Being bitten and turned into a werewolf? Oh yeah, piece of cake,” Fallon remarks sarcastically, though the smile on her face told a different story. She rubs the back of her neck, trying to ease the tension. “I mean, it’s a lot to process, sure. But it’s not like I can change what happened. So, I just have to deal with it.”
Derek’s lips twitched slightly, a ghost of a smile. “You’re handling it better than most would.”
“Well, I’ve had good company,” Fallon replies, smirking. “Plus, Deaton gave me some... interesting news today.”
“About what you are?”
“Yeah,” she says, nodding, the weight of the information still settling in her mind. “Apparently, I’m not just a regular werewolf. I’m a Lunar Sentinel.”
Derek’s brow furrows, though Fallon can see a flicker of recognition in his eyes. “A Lunar Sentinel?”
“Yep, a living myth,” Fallon says with a wry smile. “Deaton said they’re rare. You know, super special. No big deal.” She shrugs with a polite brag.
Derek crosses his arms, leaning against her desk. “He’s right. Lunar Sentinels are rare... almost unheard of.”
Fallon raises an eyebrow, her grin widening. “So, you’re telling me I’m one of a kind?”
Derek’s lips quirk into a faint smile. “Always were.”
Fallon snorts. “Right. Because if there’s anything I needed on top of this whole werewolf drama, it’s a mystical title and the weight of centuries-old legends hanging over my head.”
“You’ll figure it out,” Derek says surely. “You always do.”
“I guess,” Fallon shrugs, a playful glint in her eyes. “But seriously, if I’d known turning into a werewolf would come with this much responsibility, I might’ve considered running a little faster when Peter came at me and Lydia.”
Derek’s expression shifts to something softer, almost amused. “You didn’t run.”
“Yeah, well...” Fallon waves a hand. “Maybe I should’ve.”
Derek shakes his head, stepping closer to her. “You don’t run from anything.”
Fallon glances up at him, her smirk softening into something more genuine. “Neither do you.”
For a moment, they stand in comfortable silence, the tension between them gone, replaced by something else. Something lighter.
“So,” Fallon says, breaking the silence, “are you done lurking in my room, or...?”
Derek smirks. “I don’t lurk.”
“Sure, you don’t,” Fallon teases. “Next time, try knocking. It’s a pretty standard practice among normal humans.”
“I’ll consider it,” Derek replies, the faintest hint of a smile on his face.
Fallon can’t help but laugh. “You’re impossible.”
“You’re the one that keeps letting me in,” he shoots back, his eyes flicking over her face before softening again. "But seriously, if you ever need help... with the transition, the shifting, any of it... I'm here."
Fallon nods, her teasing demeanor melting away for a moment. “Thanks, Derek.”
Derek gives her one last lingering look before turning to leave, but Fallon calls after him. “And next time, I better hear a knock!”
Derek’s only response is a faint chuckle as he disappears through the window.
