That was it! Danny officially hated CPS! They were so annoying. How did they even keep finding him?! Hes in the rural area of Tennessee and they keep catching up to him. They had kept pace with him through the past three states (was this really cps?) and kept spouting nonsense about his powers being dangerous and needing to be taught how to use them before he hurts himself or others. Jokes on them, Dannys already dead!
Luckly they only seem to be able to track Phantom and not Fenton but after his spooky self got shot by one of these creeps he ducked into a free health clinic for teens and kids. The only problem is that he has to put down a valid Emergency contact. His parents and friends won't work since they don't exist in this dimension and he didn't know anyone else.
So he put down the name of a random Wayne family member because they are confirmed to be real and he doubted any of them would come if called.
He was wrong.
The only real question is which one did he put down
#dpxdc#prompts#fanfiction prompts#danny phantom#danny fenton#batman#batfam#tim would hurt danny down out of sheer curiosity#damian wluld want to see who tf would put him down as an emergency contact too#imagine if he put down Red Hood as an emergency contact and just glared at the person as if daring them to say anything#lmao or the street kids in gotham murmer about a name to call on if youre ever in serious trouble#a name red hood himself supports: one of his own aliases#or maybe danny winds up getting adopted by one of Red Hoods lieutenants?

so you do au swaps right ? could i request the twins and teru in a (royal/medieval/fantasy) au ?(sorry but i forgot what it was called haha) but maybe they sneak out the castle one night and then they meet and befriend the reader. sort of like those cliche love stories where the prince falls in love with one of the village people
Princes Amane Yugi, Tsukasa, and Teru x reader❣︎
Warnings: None that I can really think of
A/n: I LISTENED TO A 10 HOUR PLAYLIST OF MEDIEVAL MUSIC YEAHHHHH!!
I had too much coffee while I’m writing this-
This is like small oneshots so...
Anyways! Enjoy and have a great day!
You walked down the empty street, carrying a small basket as you slowly approached your home. You looked at the moonlight as you walked humming to yourself. Instantly a hand grabbed your wrist and pulled you into an alley.
“Give me all your valuables…” He said, causing you to shiver. You didn’t say anything which caused him to slam you against the wall.
“I said give me all your stuff you damn pessant!”
“O-okay! Please d-dont hurt me!” You shouted, taking off anything that was worth something.
“I won’t have to hurt you if you give me what I want!”
“It's not nice to hurt a lady.” A boy jumped down. He had dark, choppy hair but I couldn’t see his eyes. In his back pocket, he started to pull out what looked like a kitchen knife.
“Hehe… and who the hell are you kid?” the stranger asked.
“I’m the prince and future king!” The boy's red eyes shot up at us “Prince Amane and I demand you let this girl go!”
The strange back way from your figure, a scared expression on his face.
“Whatever man! You're crazy!!” He yelled before running out of the alley. The ‘prince’ approached you and smiled.
“I hope he didn’t do anything too bad to you” He softly spoke, putting out a hand for you to grab which you accepted. You studied his facial features and he laughed.
“Checking me out already I see~” He cooed and you blushed.
“N-no! I’m just making sure you are the prince and not some random homeless guy!” You said flustered.
“Haha, I’m just teasing… and I am the prince, isn’t it obvious?” He smirked. You looked at his clothes which were basically glowing.
“I’ll walk you home.” He pulled you out of the alley.
“Okay…”
I turned to Amane and he was looking up at the moon with a soft smile on his face.
“Uhm… do you like the stars..?” You asked.
“I do, I love them so much. They are really a great escape from reality.” He looked at you momentarily before looking back up.
“Escape?”
“Yeah… you know I’m becoming king soon… My parents have been really strict with me about becoming a king and all…” He trailed off into a small rant “It's just stressful sometimes, I don't want to be a king but everyone expects me too.” Your eyes softened looking at the boy.
“I think you will be a great king some day!” You smiled.
He turned to you and his face flushed slightly.
“I-I shouldn’t rant!” He nervously chuckled looking back up. “The moon is beautiful tonight...”
Soon you two approached your house.
“This is my stop Amane!” You smiled and turned to the boy. “And… I think you will be a great king! King of the stars and moon! I think you will do great! I believe in you King Amane Yugi!”
His cheeks turned warm as he heard you.
“Thank you… it really does mean a lot…”
“Of course, I should be going inside now. Thanks for earlier-” You were interrupted when he grabbed your wrist. A grin formed on his lips and he broke the distance and kissed your cheek. Your face turned 50 shades red.
“A good luck charm for you~” He chuckled at your flustered form.
“H-huh?!?!” He let go of your arm and waved to you.
“By Y/n! I know we will see each other very soon~” He said before vanishing.
Wait… how did he know my name..?’
You looked up at the bright sun and squinted your eyes. Your feet were tired. You are currently running to the marketplace with your best friend, Yashiro. Well, more like she was dragging you.
“Come on y/n!!! Prince Teru doesn’t go out too often to go shopping!!” The creamed haired girl squealed. She had a bit of a crush on the prince… well I mean of course, who wouldn’t want to be a princess. I almost fell on my face when she started to pick up the pace.
“Slow down Nene!” You yelled at her “He’s going to be here for a while, it won't matter if we are a couple minutes late!”
“I know but I want to look at his beautiful face as long as I can!”
‘Simp…’ You thought and puffed your cheeks. Yashiro suddenly stopped which caused you to almost fall backward.
“There he is!!” Hearts filled her eyes. You looked to see the blond haired boy surrounded by a couple knights and a small swarm of people.
“Why does Teru even want to go to the marketplace..?” You asked and Yashiro put her hand to your mouth.
“Fanservice!” She looked at you seriously causing you to sweetdrop. You looked at the blond boy and watched his figure as he looked through different stands. Every once and a while he would slip something in his bag and pay the owner of the small shack. For a brief second he looked over to you and made eye contact. You couldn’t help but blush and he chuckled and turned back to what he was doing.
“Let's get closer!” Yashiro grabbed your hand and started running again.
“N-Nene-!” You started but was interrupted when someone abruptly bumped your shoulder causing you to fall.
“ACK- Ow!” You rubbed the back of your head and everything went silent. All you heard was small murmuring. In confusion, you looked up to see a small crowd around you.
“Are you okay?” A majestic voice asked. You looked up to see the one and only prince Teru with his hand out for you to grab.
“A-ah! Yea, I’m fine..!” Your cheeks slightly turned red due to the embarrassment but you stuck out your hand for him to take. He pulled you up with a firm but gentle grip. You looked down at his hand, it felt warm and soft.
“Well, that’s good.” He chuckled. “Are you here with anybody?”
“I a-am actually… with my friend Yashiro…” You looked over to see Nene with a red face and stars in her eyes.
“Oh well then, I’ll let you get going now. Bye!” He waved and continued on.
‘Did you just talk to a prince?!!?!” You shouted in your head. Before you could think anymore, you felt someone shake you.
“Y/N YOU TALKED TO TERU!!! PRINCE TERU!!! WHAT DID HIS EYES LOOK LIKE?! WHAT DID HIS HANDS FEEL LIKE!? TELL ME!!”
“Lavender and the ocean…” You said in a daze.
“LAVENDER AND THE OCEAN?!?!”
Once Teru finished his monthly market shopping, Yashiro was finally ready to leave. You went home and changed into a more comfy outfit. You opened your balcony and breathed in the fresh air. You heard rustling and looked down to the noise. You started to back up until a figure emerged from the shadows. You were about to run back inside until you started to recognize him.
“Hey.” The prince looked up at your balcony.
“U-uhm… hi..?” You looked down “You want me to let you in!?”
“Oh I can come in!” He smiled brightly.
“Yeah! Let me get the door-” You were interrupted when a line of red beads acted like a hook landing next to you. The prince used these beads to climb up to the balcony.
“Y/n, right?”
“Yeah! And you are Prince Teru!” He laughed when you said prince. He took his red beads and they turned into a bracelet around his wrist.
“WOAH! How did you do that?!?!” You gasped, grabbing his wrist and examining it.
“Magic.”
“Magic?!”
He laughed.
“You are very interesting y/n…” He looked into your eyes. Before you could say anything else, you heard a knock on your door. You turned to see your mom opening the door and Teru leaning on a wall not wanting to get caught. You turned to him and he had one finger over his mouth.
“Y/n, who are you talking too?” Your mother opened the door.
“Oh! Uhm, no one!” You nervously smiled.
“Alright… But if it's one of those imaginable men again…” She sighed and closed the door.
“EXCUSE ME?!!?” I blushed hard “I DON'T HAVE IMAGINABLE MEN! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!” You heard Teru laugh which made you face him.
“Hey, a young lady shouldnt be inviting boys in her house if her parents don’t know about them…” Teru smirked, causing you to blush hard.
“E-excuse me! I’m not the one who put my finger up to my mouth telling me to keep it a secret!” You pointed at him and he laughed.
“I’m joking. I would never hurt you, I swear.” He walked closer to you. You felt comfortable around him. You two spent the night chatting and laughing. It’s been around one hour and Teru looks up at the moon.
“It's about time I get going…” He started to take off his red bracelet and tied it around the balcony. You were kind of sad when he said he was going to leave.
“Oh… will I see you again..?” You watched him go down. He stopped and looked up at you.
“I’ll be here tomorrow night. Same time. Kay?”
“O-Okay! See you tomorrow!”
Did you seriously meet the prince?
You walked around the village as you looked through all the stands. You hummed to yourself as your dress flowed in the wind. You stopped when you heard screaming from one of the booths.
“Stop!! Thief!!” The owner screamed as he tried to chase after a boy. He was wearing a hood so you didn’t get a good look at his face. Before you know it, you made eye contact with the hooded boy and he ran behind you.
“Do you know this thief?!” The guy asked before glaring down at the boy. Even though he was wearing a hood, you could see his visible grin.
“U-uh- no sir! But what did he take..?” You asked.
“He stole an apple and pear from my shack!”
‘All this fuss over an apple and pear..?’ You thought as you sighed. You pulled out two coins from your bag and gave it to the man.
“That looks like it covers it… keep the change.” You grabbed the boy's hand and sped away.
You glanced at the boy who still had a grin on his face. Before you knew it he started running and he was dragging you.
“W-wait!” You shouted at him. Who the hell is this guy..?
He turned the corner into an isolated area and let go of your wrist.
“Hey! You know I did pay for your shenanigans!” You pulled his hood down to see a boy with choppy hair and golden eyes. He chuckled and leaned in closer to your face. He looked familiar but you didn’t know where from.
“Thanks for that by the way~” He hummed.
“Yeah whatever..!” You backed up, creating distance between the two of you.
“I’m Tsukasa Yugi! Prince Tsukasa Yugi!” He smiled.
“Wait, the prince?!” I pointed to him “Why the hell would a prince steal?!”
“I just wanted to see what he would do it I took some of his stuff”
‘Wow… he seems nice…’ You thought.
“You can take the apple and pear though! I don’t really need them.” He handed you the fruit.
“EH- you steal it but you won’t take it?” You scoffed. “Aren’t you afraid of getting caught? You are a prince”
“Yeah but everyone looks at Amane, I can do whatever I want and get away with it~!”
“I feel bad for Amane then…”
“I got an idea!” He looked at you. “We should run away together! It would be great!”
“Excuse me…” I glared at him.
“Well that's what I was already doing, I was running away but no one in the castel noticed yet. We should run away, just you and me!”
“I didn’t even know you that long… I can’t just run away! I have a life, a family!”
“Oh…” He trailed off “Well I do hope you change your mind! I’ll come visit you again~!”
“Wait- visit me?!” You asked but he ran out of the alley way.
“Thank you beautiful girl~!” He smiled, turning to you one last time before running off with an apple in his hand.
“Did he take the apple-” I looked down to just see the pear.
‘Oh this guy…’ I sighed ‘I’ll definitely see him again.’

Winner’s Curse Ch. 30
Calix and Circe transported them to Auradon Prep where the bright light enemated from the balcony where only two years ago, Ben had made his proclamation that changed everything. Guards were unconscious on the ground and others were running towards the villages, away from the sword, and the quartet that Jordan could see were watching the chaos. Wait there wasn’t a quartet? There were five. Morgana had joined them.
Ben was outside as well with FG, Mal, Jane, Carlos, Evie and Lonnie, and the young king was frantically talking to the guard who was stammering so hard he wasn’t making any sense.
“Ma-Maleficent is back. The dragon is here! She torched a house. We got it out in time but she put a house on fire! We all have to go right away!” And the guard ran from his king’s side, barking orders and running backwards till he tripped over a stone.
“I’ll go stop her,” Mal volunteered with Evie nodding at her side. “I’ll help too,” Celia popped up with several of Uma’s crew members that Jordan never bothered to learn their names.
Ben looked frazzled but his voice was anything but. “Mal, you, Evie, Celia and FG go find your mother. The guard said she was heading toward Aurora’s castle.”
“Jay, Uma, um Jay’s relative I’m guessing, and Jordan, you can go to Jafar. I’m not sure where he is but Circe can transport you there.” “Lonnie, Aziz, Cosette, Circe, Carlos and I will go against Nerissa and Lady Caine. They went to my parent’s home. Now go go go!”
Jordan allowed Aziz to wish her group to transport to Jafar who apparently hadn’t gotten very far as he was striding through the woods of Charmingburg.
And thanks to magic’s unsubtlty, Jafar noticed them all immediately when they fell in a circle around him.
Though he was surrounded, Jafar merely cackled, training his eyes on his son.
“Ssssson, I wasssss wondering when you’d arrive,” Jafar hissed, his snake tongue flicking in and out.
The black sheen of his robe turned dull, stretching longer and longer as his legs disappeared into a reptilian coil of a snake tail.
Jafar’s eyes turned red, his nose flattened disappearing into a cobra snout and his turban fell apart to reveal his flaring hood.
And just like in the stories, he was no average snake, but one as large as a dragon. His tail boomed as he slapped it down, causing them all to fall to their knees.
“You were ssssuch a disssaapointment. You weren’t ssssnakey enough like me.” Jafar crowed, before his human speech was lost entirely and his eyes lost their red. They turned black as his gleaming scales, and he rose to the height of the trees.
It was possible the cobra senses would overwhelm Jafar’s human brain, and they could try to catch it like they would a regular one but Jordan had some doubts. This cobra was intently staring at Jay, his head following Jay’s movements when the teen swayed to the left or right.
Jafar was silent, a sign that he was waiting to strike, and from the way Jay balanced on the balls of his feet, it was clear he knew it too.
But since Jafar was focused Jay…
Uma made a point to make eye contact with each of them, tilting her head to the snake and tapping at the sword on her sheath, indicating they should jump on him while he was distracted.
She whistled, signalling for them to jump but that only brought Jafar’s attention to them. Since snakes did not have good eyesight, he turned to face Jade instead of Uma who emitted the sound, but that was distraction enough for Jay.
He clambered up a tree and jumped onto Jafar’s hood, riding the cobra like a rodeo clown, he held on with one hand while punching him with the other. The cobra thrashed and they took their chance to hit it. Uma pounded against the torso with her sword even though it barely made a dent. No results but Jafar tried to coil away while bucking his head to remove Jay.
Jade began to clamber up Jafar’s back too, acting as another annoying pest for the snake to try to thrash around and get rid of.
And Jordan stood there, wishing that her powers allowed her to attack other humans instead of being forced to wait for someone to wish her to do so.
But that didn’t mean she couldn’t change the environment a little.
She concentrated, imagining the taste of the gritty particles sand caught in her mouth, the painful pricks of never-ending assult of a sandstorm swirling around, and she visualized it to reality. She aimed the mini sandstorm to Jafar’s eyes, blinding him.
The snake flailed hitting a tree, and falling to his side. Several trees fell around them and Jordan spotted Uma in the line of one.
“Watch out!” She screamed, the urgency giving wings to her feat as she shoved the blue-braided girl out of the way. The splintered wood and green shubbery showering them with spears to the arms and face. A little rough but not as bad as the sound of a sickening crunch would have been.
Jay was standing on the ground now as the cobra began to shrink in size for no apparent reason. Jordan doubted a punch would be enough to magic out. But she sensed a change in the air.
The air crackled with electricity even though there was no lightning in the sky. The air felt thin, and she could see from the grimaces on Jade and Uma’s faces that it was affecting them though they tried not to show it.
Jafar was changing back to a human, but not the slender viziar whose luxurious robes overcompensated his lank figure. He was squant and bot-bellied dressed in pajamas. The one feather in his turban was frayed. Jafar looked down at himself, scraping out the dulled ruby in his turban to shake it angrily, “What happened to me!? My powers!”
Jay stared at him, barely restrained anger and disappointment were evident in his voice, “Nothing happened to you. This is how you always were. You have no power or skills of your own. You are lazy and selfish. The only power you had came from others like genies and your staff, and me doing all the work for you. And you lost all of it because you were always greedy for more. I’m not snakey like you, and that makes me better than you would ever be with all the power in the world.”
Jafar looked stunned, not even noticing Uma hauling him up to his feet and tying his hands behind his back with her belt, “But Morgana said… Jay?”
Jay began walking to the palace, refusing you to look behind him at the sad sack of a villain. “You are such a disappointment, Dad.”
They walked in silence back to Auradon Prep, Uma wasn’t even bothering to interrogate Jafar what he meant about Morgana. The mood was too somber for that as was the tension radiating off Jay who kept walking stiffily forward.
They arrived at the entrance where the others with similarly defeated and sluggish looking Maleficent, Lady Caine and Nerissa.
Uma handed Jafar over to FG who tied the four villains together with another magical bundle of pumpkin vines which she, Jane, Carlos and Evie took to the dungeon carriage with Harry, Gil and Cosette acting as the muscle in case the villains tried to do anything.
The remaining people looked up at the five on the balcony who seemed to be in a discussion of some sort.
“So we’re all in agreement that they’re behind this,” Mal nodded toward the mini Coven.
“Jafar said something about Morgana in relation to his powers.” Uma informed.
“Lady Caine mentioned something about how this is Morgana’s and her welp’s fault. I knew Morgaine was behind this.” Ben growled, some of his inner beastly side emerging though he cleared his throat and seemed to clamp it down.
At that moment, as if summoned by their discussion, Morgana, Morgaine, Kyro and Victoria appeared beside them.
“Wow, that was-that was bad but good thing my mother double crossed those bad guys by pretending to be on their side.” Morgaine said in a overly gushing as if she said it movingly enough, it would make her sound sincere.
Morgana smiled at her daughter’s compliment, undaunted by the unbelieving glares of the group looking at her. “That’s right. I was double crossing the Coven, and Lady Caine here. I knew about their plan to invade Auradon so I put myself in their good graces, and when these four managed to escape, I gave them this power jewel,” She plucked a ruby from Jafar’s turban, “It strengthens their magic, but gives me the control to shut it off. You’re welcome.”
Ben just stared. Jordan was surprised by how blank he looked like he just went from numb from the audacity of this women to lie so bluntly to their faces and present herself as a hero.
Luckily, Mal and Uma had no problem tearing down Morgana’s words.
“Uh yeah, no thank you. You’re going to join them in the Isle where you belong.” Mal cried.
“You’re no hero. You put the Isle and Auradon in danger for your own selfish wants.” Uma said.
“We’re trying to save Auradon, we’re trying to close the barrier. Alexandria is up there, trying to figure it out right now,” Victoria insisted.
“The glowy white beam you created says otherwise,” Mal retorted.
While the three teens looked away, Kyro in particular was pouting, Morgana remained calm.
Nonchalantly, as if they were talking about the weather she said, “We didn’t plan for it all to come this. But if the king won’t accept us as heroes and agree to our demands… we should get a new king.”
Morgana and Morgaine’s hands began to glow the mystical blue glow that was unique to Camelot’s sorcerers.
Kyro shrank to his normal fairy size, and Victoria unsheathed her own sword, clearly taken from one of the Royal Guard.
Morgana striked first, sending a blue ball of power at Ben’s heart which Circe blocked with a magical shield.
The threat seemed to snap everyone out of their shock.
Kyro buzzed around Ben, and Mal who tried to catch him with their hands but were pushed away by the shock of Kyro blowing flames at them. The fay was the son of a dragon after all. Mal transformed into a dragon herself to combat his flames with her much larger green. Ben tried to hold her back, “No, Mal, he’s a fairy, you’ll crisp him! And guys, careful with Victoria she is under mind control.”
“I’ll try. No promises.” Jay grunted as he pressed his back against his cousin as he sparred with Victoria who had been training for her dream goal to be a royal guard for ten years compared to Jay’s year of R.O.A.R. swordfighting.
He switched off with Jade who threw a sword to Lala who covered her back with Aziz, surrounding Victoria in a four way sword fight.
As Circe and Morgana faced off, Calix threw magic spell after magic spell at Morgaine, batting lines about his “poor broken heart” and how dare she not mention that she was an evil sorceress while they were sleeping together. The irrelevant comments clearly annoyed the teenage sorcereress who was trying to keep up her serious bad girl sorcerer vibe.
Jordan was about to jump in to help with Kyro when lighting cracked above them. Winds that wre blowing steadily suddenly turned rough, disturbing the fight with flyaway banners and broken tree branches. A storm was swirling above them and it was gaining the ferocity of a hurricane.
Jordan looked to Uma who didn’t have a specific sparring partner either and went to her, “We need to get to the balcony, it’s the source of the magic, come on.”
They burst through the halls where students were confusedly peeking out to see what was going on outside but the two ignored. They ran through Ben’s office to window but it was blocked by a magic barrier.
Uma was about to try to fight against it with her sword but Jordan placed a hand on her arm, “I can handle this. Phenomenal cosmic powers after all.”
She closed her eyes and pushed, feeling the strength of a brick and iron wall pushing against her magic but she kept going. She felt the solid barrier pressing against her whole body, giving her a migraine as she pushed forward. Pushed as if she was trying to blend into the wall. Pushed until she heard the crack.
She nearly fell over as the magic shield fell, and the two girls cautiously stepped onto the balcony.
But Alexandria wasn’t there.
Leaves swirled around, but there was no sign of the mermaid princess. Just a chalice filled with blood and the levitating sword of Camelot, glowing and pointing at the Isle where more clouds gathered and darkened.
Uma tried to lift it, muscles straining and cheeks puffing but it wouldn’t budge.
Only the one true king or powerful magic could move it.
Jordan tried her hand, but one touch of the iron burnt her palms and burned through her veins. Gasping she fell to the floor, shaking from the pain of it.
They were good, the sword must be connected to the Mini Coven if the blood chalice indicated anything.
Uma looked and dumped the chalice on the ground, waiting for the spilt blood to affect the sword somehow but it continued levitating.
Jordan stared, though the wind was blurring her eyesight, and patted her hands on her pants in an effort to cool the burns, but nothing came to her mind.
Allah, she wished they could get the sword to move itself. Or wish that the mini Coven would just be defeated or….
And just like Celia’s plan to play the Coven off one another, the idea was simple but obvious.
“You have to make a wish,” Jordan yelled over the blowing wind, spitting out the hair that whipped into her mouth and muffled her words.
“What?” Uma yelled, trying to cover her ears and lean closer to hear.
“Wish! Wish me to transfer the power, or get rid of the sword or anything!” Jordan yelled again, pointing at the sword than at the lamp in her hands that was threatening to get swept up in the wind.
Uma’s eyes widened as she took in Jordan’s words and previously Jordan would have seen a wicked gleam in them. But she didn’t. Maybe it was there, maybe it wasn’t, but she was trying to trust people’s best intentions. And if Uma had proven anything, she was a woman of her word.
Uma grasped the lamp, and rubbed, and Jordan felt the connecting touch of rubbing hands on her wrist. The tingle filled her as Uma’s wish got lost in the wind.
The sword disappeared in a poof of pink smoke. Lightning crackled and the barrier returned in a bowl of gleaming light. Rising back over the Isle.
Another poof of smoke and a team trident appeared in Uma’s hands, dripping with salt water and tangled with kelp but the smile that glowed on Uma’s face almost made up for the salty smell.
Uma lifted her mighty weapon up and the storm began to funnel, the clouds and lighting began to twist and shape into a funnel right into Uma’s trident.
For everyone knew, tridents were descended of Poisidon. God of sea and storms.
The winds ceased and moonlight glowed from the sky.
And Uma beamed in triumph.
That smile, for the first time, made Jordan glad she granted a wish. It was a selfless one but the pure joy that shined from her made Jordan happy with her power. That she could bring happiness to people without it being at the expense of herself.
Thinking about her powers this way, she could accept it. If she gave her wishes to certain people, she could bring some good to the world. A little bit of happiness or wonderment, giving something that someone longed desired but did not believe to exist. Much like genies themselves.
Maybe she wouldn’t be following the fate of so many djinn before her. Not if she chose who to give wishes to, she would finally be in control, the control she always felt she lacked as a slave to her lamp. She wouldn’t be degraded, not if she reclaimed this for herself.
Control and freedom of choice. The two greatest drugs to a genie.
Jordan began to beam herself, her smile fueled by relief and certainty that things would turn out alright, reflecting Uma’s as she made her last wish.
“I wish to be where Alexandria is.”
A swirl of smoke and sparkle and they were gone.
And rather ungracefully deposited at Alexandria’s feet.
Alexandria was in the museum, sneaking through the exhibit of a replica of Snow White’s house, tear stained and clutching Triton’s trident.
“Alexandria,” Jordan called, remembering Ben’s words, “It’s okay. It’s okay, we closed down the barrier, and Morgana will be hauled away. Whatever control she has over you is going to be over. Just come here and we’ll help.” “It’s over?” Alexandria questioned, inching backwards, “It’s- Morgana’s captured? Wait Ben won?”
The girl turned even paler if that was possible, but her dark brown framing her white face made her look like Snow White herself surrounded by the fake forest background.
“Yes, it’s fine. The heroes won.” Jordan said softly, holding out her hand as if Alexandria was a nervous tiger and she was trying to win her trust.
Uma stepped forward, putting her trident but did not set it down, “You’re not under Morgana’s control are you? This- this invasion was an idea you helped with.” “No, that’s impos-” Jordan was about to argue when she saw Alexandria slowly nod.
“You teamed up with the villains.” Uma said, more to herself as if she was trying to piece it together, but Alexandria didn’t let her continue.
She charged but Uma was ready. She held her trident up and two crashed with a clang. Uma’s feet slid backwards but her upper body remained steady as she struggled against Alexandria.
Alexandria was blinded by emotion and it showed in her sloppy fighting skills, repeatedly lunging forward in stabbing motions with no mind to deviate from what she was doing.
Uma was skilled and she easily feigned right and left, locking her prongs with Alexandria’s until the trident slipped from her grasp with a clatter.
Alexandria stared at her fallen trident and reluctantly fell to her knees, holding her hands out in front of her so they could tie them together, sobbing all the while.
But Uma did not move to contain her. Instead he went to her knees, and waited until Alexandria lifted her head.
Once she had her attention, “Why did you do it?”
It was soft, non-judgemental but also curious as if Uma really wanted to know.
“No was going to get hurt,” Alexandria murmured, wiping away bit of hair that got into her mouth, “I-That was my condition. We- we just wanted to show that things in Auradon needed to change.” “What things?” Uma questioned.
“Everything,” Alexandria sputtered, trying to search for words, “The uniting of kingdoms, the magic ban, everything. Auradon likes to pretend everyone is the same and perfect and in harmony but it’s not!”
“It was stupid to unite the kingdoms all under King Beast. He doesn’t know what each kingdom needs. Neither does Ben. And having an Auradon-wide election for Atlantica’s queen? That’s not fair. Everyone in Atlantica voted for my mother because she trained for it her whole life, she knows what to do. And everyone else in Auradon voted for Aunt Ariel because she’s popular. She doesn’t even live in Atlantica anymore! She helps Uncle Eric’s kingdom, how in the seven seas does that makes sense or is considered a proper decision. Now Atlantica is a polluted dump but no one cares as long as those land dwellers get their underwater vacations!” “Auradon failed you,” Uma said matter of factly.
“And the Magic Ban, it hurts.” Alexandria gasped, “It just hurts. Everytime I have to return to the surface from Atlantica I have to get used to breathing this suffocating and air and the feeling of my legs being stabbed when I walk. And for what? So I can be like the other land royals and attend Auradon. Why do I have to accommodate them? Why can’t they accommodate me instead? That’s why Morgana, Kyro and I teamed up. We wanted to defeat the villains ourselves and show that-that magic can be good. Our magic is needed to fight magical enemies. It’s not bad. We shouldn’t have to deny the magic that is part of us.”
Jordan nodded sagely, bending down to her knees like Uma so she could be at Alexandria’s level, “I completely agree with you… But why did Victoria join?”
“Because if King Beast was wrong about the uniting of kingdoms and the Magic Ban, he’s also wrong about the Isle. Putting all the villains in one Isle just across from us was a mistake, and Victoria thought it was a mistake to bring Vks over too. That Auradon allowed too much time for them to stew and resent us so they should be cut off completely.”
Uma didn’t bristle at Alexandria’s words like Jordan expected her to. In fact her face didn’t change from her look. Her look was one of total empathy, that she was really listening to what Alexandria was saying.
“We- we- I just thought that if we allowed the villains to get in, we would show all the holes in King Beast’s decisions and maybe things would change.” Uma stood up to her full height, “Even though this hasn’t worked out how you planned, your stunt did make a difference. Things are gonna change around here.”
With one hand regally holding the trident, Uma held out her free hand to Alexandria, offering to help her get up. Alexandria sniffed and accepted it.
Once they placed Triton’s trident back on the mantle, the trio walked outside where things had calmed down considerably since they left.
Morgana and Morgaine were handcuffed unconscious on the ground. FG had returned with the dungeon carriage and Gil was now leading a handcuffed Victoria into the cart as Gil picked up the handcuffed sorceress. Jane placed Kyro, trapped inside a lantern, blowing flames futility against the glass.
Alexandria’s eyes widened at the sight of her defeated companions but Uma whispered reassuringly in her ear, “You’re not going to the dungeon. I’ll vouch for you.” Alexandria gave a wary nod, squaring her shoulders as she walked on her own accord, dignified as she could, into the dungeon carriage.
Ben and the others came up to them, sweating but victorious smiles were plastered on their faces.
“I see we have you to thank, Uma,” Ben slightly bowed to the sea witch. He held up her hand, “To Uma, the hero and savior of Auradon! And my new coordinator for VK relocation!”
Harry, Gil and the other Vks whooped and cheered which Jordan couldn’t help but join in.
It was over, it was actually over. The month and a half of grime and anxiety and fear for the inevitable was finally over. She could kiss the ground. But she didn’t, she still had a rep.
The less enthusiastic people of the group were Mal, and her friends who reluctantly clapped, surprised that their old rival was now a hero but that did little to dampen the mood as Harry and Gil lifted Uma up on their shoulders.
“Thank you.” Uma beamed, “Your Auradonian “heroes” were helpful too. Especially your former leader. I couldn’t have saved the day without her help.” Jordan covered her mouth to muffle the shocked squeak that came out of it as everyone turned to stare and clap for her.
She almost couldn’t believe her eyes but it was happening. At least a dozen faces were staring at her with pride and happiness, and absolutely no twinkles in their eye, signifying interior motives or greed emerging. They were clapping for her because she was a hero.
A warm feeling of pride, pride in herself bloomed in her chest and she felt her eyes sting from how overwhelmed she was of it all, but she did her best to hold it back because Allah knew Aziz would tease her about it forever. She just managed a whispered “Thank you,” coughing to clear the choked up emotion.
Once Harry and Gil set Uma down, and everyone got to crowding around and talking about their own experiences, Jordan crept up to Uma. She paused for a minute, watching as Uma took a quiet moment to herself, breathing it, still smiling broadly at everything that she had accomplished.
When Uma turned to face Harry, Jordan tapped her on the shoulder.
“Um, uhI-I just wanted to thank you for what you just said. It’s so sweet of you to thank me and call me a hero. You don’t know how much it-”
Uma backed away from Jordan a bit as she reached her arms out for a hug, “No, no. It wasn’t anything special. I was giving credit where credit was due. I really wouldn’t have been able to do it if you hadn’t made the right decision and made me your leader or if you hadn’t given me the three wishes today.”
Jordan put her hands back down to her side, trying to keep herself from hugging out of appreciation for something that was no big deal to Uma, “Still.. Thanks! Thanks so much.”
Uma nodded, “You’re welcome,” and she was swept up into her own hug with Gil and an enthusiastic kiss from her first mate.
Jordan, herself, was nearly bowled over from a hug from the behind, “Laqad faealnaha!” (We did it!)
Jordan laughed at Aziz’s loving attack, “Bialtaakid nahn faealna! Kanat mudahasha!” (Of course we did! We’re amazing!)
“So I guess we celebrate now,” Mal said once some of the buzzing excitement died down.
“No, it’s not time for celebration. We have work to do. As we agreed upon Ben.” Uma smirked as she nodded to Ben who sheepishly shrugged his shoulders.
“We made a deal.”
“Someone should go back to the Isle and alert people what's happening,” Evie said.
“Don’t worry, I planned for that too,” Uma said.
“She’s a goddess,” Harry breathed, his eyes following Uma as she, Ben, Mal and Evie headed to the castle.
Circe, Jay, Carlos, FG and the others began to clean up the debris and guide the defeated villains to the guard’s dungeon carriage that had strolled up.
And the sun began to rise.
“Huh no party,” Calix looked around at the cleaning up committee.
“I like it,” Jordan said, smiling at the newly formed camraderie as Jay introduced his cousin to Carlos, Lonnie and Jane. Cosette and Gil were hugging and talking things out. And Circe, Aziz and Lala continued cleaning up with murmered comments between them.
“After all, every fairytale ends with a party and music and celebration. This- We’re all about subverting the tropes.” Jordan said, more than happy that this was all over and that she got to comment on her favorite thing, story tropes.
“You got that right,” Calix fist-bumped her.

By The Lake*Part Three
Summary: A family friend offers you a place to stay to get away from an abusive past. Her home is a place that you are familiar with, an old town with a large lake you spent many days in. You went there years ago for one full summer, where you became close friends with a very young Daryl Dixon. You two were inseparable until you had to leave. But now you’re back, escaping from a past much like his. You will need to weave your way through the town's problematic people, your own problems, and above all the confusing Dixon. Will you two find your way back to each other again? Or will he push you further away? And above all, will your past cease to haunt you?
Part one * Part Two * Part Four * Part Five
Pairing: Young Daryl Dixon x Reader
Warnings: Mentions of abuse and violence(potential triggers), cussing, more mature themes(not smut or anything tho), slow burn romance
Authors Note: Daryl Dixon is a character from the amazing show The Walking Dead, but this story is modern AU so not with all the walkers and everything. I don’t own and I didn’t create his character. Also this story is in no means meant to romanticize abuse, that stuff isn’t romantic. It is such a terrible, terrible thing, but it is sadly a very common thing as well. Throughout this series I only hope that I can spread awareness about the matter, and let people know that they aren’t alone, things will get better, and that no one is deserving of any kind of abuse. Ever. Anyways, I’m done with my rant, I hope y’all like it, and if not please send in some constructive criticisms I’m always looking to improve.

*******************************************************************************************
I woke up to the kids screaming, at the cabin door for me to come out. I quickly put on a bra and open the door in my pajamas. Cherry was standing there in a pantsuit with Monty and Rosie by her side.
“Jesus (Y/N), it’s nearly 10.” She shakes her head at me and pushes the kids inside the cabin.
“What! That early.” I joke, but she only humored me with a sarcastic open-mouthed laugh. I run a hand through my messy hair and apologize.
“I’ll make a point to wake up early. But y’all weren’t exactly detailed on the job description.” I point to the kids. She kisses the kids goodbye on the head and stands up to face me again.
“Well my job description implies that I should have left 10 minutes ago. And no, it is not you’re fault.” She glares at her kids and then glances over her shoulder.
“Mark didn’t help me at all this morning. Daryl came over earlier than usual, something bout having less time than he thought. Whatever, my point it that the kids are your problem now.” She smiles at me then bolts out the door before Monty or Rosie can chase after her. I watch her car leave with a sense of dread and excitement. How in the heck am I supposed to keep these guys from dying of boredom?
I stare at the two of them, Rosie is sitting on my bed, and and looking out the window right into the lake...The lake! Cherry said how Rosie loves to swim, and I’m sure Monty wouldn’t mind spending this hot day in the water. Even Mark said a day in the lake would keep them happy.
“Would you guys like to play in the lake today?” Rosie jumps off the bed and screeches a yes, while Monty looks at me with puppy eyes and nods his head a million times. I match my excitement to theirs and usher them outside. I get dressed into my bathing suit, while they sit on the porch waiting. I don’t bother with a shirt after my bathing suit is on, I just put on some shorts and sandals.
As soon as I walk outside Monty and Rosie hop off the chairs and wait for me to lock the door. When I’m done they grab both of my hands and drag me to their house. We nearly tripped five times getting there, but finally the house came into view. Sounds are coming from the open garage not too far away. Some tool was going off and when it stopped a voice filled it’s place. Daryl’s voice. My heart dropped, he sounds a bit different but I could tell his voice from a mile away. I shake my head from any thoughts of him and walk us all forwards. The front door was unlocked so we went inside.
“Alright you two, I want you to go put on your suits and sunblock. Grab anything else you want, and I’ll make us a picnic. You guys like that plan?” Rosie and Monty looked at each other, nodded, then took off sprinting to their separate rooms.
5 minutes later I had two sandwiches done, and 3 bottled waters beside them. I run a mental list of what I need, towels, extra sunblock, food, water, a camera, maybe some toys, and whatever else I can think of. I finish the last sandwich and grab some fruits and snacks from the fridge, which Cherry and Mark said I have free reign of. I had my camera in the bag I brought, and I saw some sunblock in the bathroom last night. All I need are the towels.
I spent several more minutes trying to find those damned things, but couldn’t see them anywhere. I brace myself for what is to come. I have to ask Mark, and Mark is with Daryl.
I make my way outside of the house and towards the open, metal shed. I can see the body of the car just slightly sticking out of the garage. I brace myself as I walk in. Instead of my eyes finding Daryl's again, they are faced with Marks hunched over back. Daryl was no where to be seen. Mark was bent over the hood, fixing something with the engine I guess.
“Uh, Mark?” I call over the loud noises. Mark whips around and nearly hits his head on the open hood of the car. He chuckles to himself and gives me a warm smile. He has oil up the back of his neck, and cheek.
“Oh, hey (Y/N).” Suddenly the loud noise stops and Mark and I hear a loud crash, followed by a sheepish “ow”. Mark leans over the car.
“You alright Daryl?” My cheeks burn red as Daryl emerges from under the car. He had grease and dirt all over him, covering his deep blush, the sight of him took my breath away. If I thought he was cute at 14...well, if my 13 year old self saw him now, I don’t even know what she would do. Daryl avoids eye contact with me, but nods to Mark.
“M’ fine.” He mumbles. He shuffles his feet and the air seems thicker, like he also thought this should be going different. We should be hugging, and catching up. But instead we can’t even look at each other without wanting to drool, or runaway.
Mark turns to me, eyeing the two of us with a sly smile. I can only imagine how Cherry talked us up to be. I fight the urge to roll my eyes at the thought of Cherry telling Mark all about Daryl and I when we were younger.
“Something wrong with the kids?” Mark asks me. I quickly shake my head.
“No, they’re inside getting ready for the lake. We’re going to be over there if you need us.” I suddenly forgot my question for Mark when out of the corner of my eye, I saw Daryl trail his eyes over me, taking me in. I could watch him all day, looking at me like that. Maybe I should wear this bathing suit more often.
“That all?” Mark asks me kindly. I laugh stupidly, god I was standing there like an idiot.
“Uhm no, sorry. I was wondering where the towels were?”
“Oh sure thing. Let me go get them for you.” Before I could stop him, Mark is out of sight and going towards the house. Anxiety courses through me as I turn to Daryl. But all those feelings go away when we lock eyes, we were friends once, why the hell am I so nervous? He isn't a stranger, right? Neither of us said a word, I wanted to say hi, or something witty but I just couldn’t get a word out. He looked at me different, his mouth pulled in a thin line instead of that easy smile he wore years ago. He was the first to break the silence.
“How long you stayin’ this time?” His voice was harsher than I ever remember it being. It takes me a second to gather my wits.
“I don’t know Daryl.” I thought I saw his chest still when I said his name, like he was holding his breath. But he lets out a dry laugh and looks to the floor again.
“Why you slummin’ it anyway?” He said with his eyes trailing around us, then finally setting to a glare at me. His question felt like he poked me with a sharp stick. Who did he think I was?
“This ain’t slumming it Daryl.” I say sharply, he rolls his eyes and and scoffs. A bitter sound.
“Then why’d you make to leave so quick?” He shoots back. Before I could speak he cuts me off. “Nah, I bet you couldn’t wait to go back. Princess goes back to her castle, leaving the lot of us behind.” He sets his tool down and walks around the car, getting closer to me as he spoke. “Like wiping your hands of fucking filth aint’ it.” He seethed at me. I feel my own anger rise, why was he being like this?
“You think I wanted to leave you! That I wanted to leave this place. Daryl you were my friend, my best friend. I would’ve stayed if I didn’t have school, you know that.” I say. His jaw clenches and he walks behind me, bumping my shoulder, he grabbed a rag and wiped his hands from grease. He smells like gas, sweat and cigarettes.
“Ya, well I don’t want no friends. You ain’t no different from any of ‘em!” He couldn’t look at me now, he threw the towel down on the table and walked back around to where he was before I disrupted him. My chest heaved and constricted. How could he say that? I had to go so many years ago, I had to leave him...
Mark cheerfully walks in with a stack of colorful towels in his arms. Clearly oblivious to the tension in the room.
“Here ya go!” He hands the towels to me and a Coke to Daryl. “Back to business then?” Mark jokes. Daryl grunts a reply and picks up his tool again, giving me the cold shoulder. I hold a snarky comment back and turn to Mark.
“Thanks Mark. I’ll get out of your way then.” I say the last part a bit harsher than I meant to, but It wasn’t directed towards Mark.
I rush out of there, and take a few seconds to breath. I refuse to cry, this is going to be a good day. I walk back to the house to see Rosie standing there in a blue, ruffled bathing suit, and Monty in green swim trunks. He was holding onto a large dinosaur floatie, that looked more like the loch ness monster. I beam at their cuteness, feeling better already. I tell them to hold on while I go inside to finish putting the picnic things in a bag. I was only gone a couple of minutes before I walk out to find them with white streaks all over their body. In my absence they put sunblock on, badly may I add. I laugh and help them rub it in.
You three make your way to the lake, completely oblivious to Daryl’s gaze, and his sad, hidden smile, as he watched you walk away.

In the Dark
Incubus! Yuta x Witch! Lily
Yuta leaves a life of wild partying and long nights to be with Lily, a witch with growing power.
Part 1 | Part 2
Word Count- 4.7K~
~Fantasy!au, sexual themes, some angst, blood play, power complex, choking(not a lot), alcohol
A/N- Hey! This one was fun. I got really into it tbh and I’m really excited about it. I also decided to use one of my own characters for this instead of the reader pov. I’m planning on making a character bio for her soon, and if you’d like to suggest a character of you own, you can send a bio like the one I’ll make for Lily. There will also be more parts to this series, maybe 2 or 3 total, I’m not sure yet but yeah. Hope you enjoy!
He roamed the street through the hours of the night, inconspicuous to most. His handsome face became familiar to partygoers and bartenders all over the city. His reputation was an unspoken understanding among powerful names. No one got in his way.
Bouncers knew to let him in without hesitation. He would walk to the front of the line in his fitted suit, his slightly curly brown hair falling just above his hooded eye that glared at the large man who quickly moved the rope.
He strutted into the booming room, lasers dancing on the fabric of the suit, the music dulling every other sense to most humans. He went to his usually seat at the edge of the bar. “What will it be tonight, Mr. Nakamoto?” The bar tender inquired. “Yuta, please. And your finest vodka.”
Alcohol didn’t affect him much, but he enjoyed mixing cinnamon into it. It gave him a heightened awareness of his ability. He could see people with a clearer vision, and they could see him more vividly, making him more desirable to mortals. After several rounds, he scoped the room with dark, lustrous eyes, looking for his next victim.
He spotted her across the dance floor, way too drunk to keep her balance. Perfect. He downed the last of the painful liquor then got up gracefully, smoothly making his way over to the weak woman. Her dress clung to her sweat-covered body and was perhaps a few sizes too small, leaving little to imagination.
Yuta didn’t have a preference of what they looked like. He just liked them messy, always leaving his mess for his underlings. He didn’t care much for passion, only pleasure: his pleasure, at least.
He ghosted his long fingers over her slim waist, slipping behind her silently. She turned to find her suiter, only to feel his presence in front of her now. She spun to meet him, taken aback by his ethereal appearance. His skin radiated with alcohol, his eyes had morphed to a light honey color, no less dangerous than before, but the energy he gave off was magnetic. No woman could resist him in this state, or so he thought.
She fell into his grasp as he lulled her in. She fell into his strong figure; he was practically holding her up as they walked off to find a private room upstairs.
***
He emerged from the room tipsier than he went in, no sight of the girl. The suit he had dawned was now in disarray, several buttons undone and his white dress shirt untucked. He left a hefty tip this time, having been much less careful and taken longer than usual.
He left without another word, feeling less than satisfied. This city had become boring, he had created a routine much to his disliking. He had found the city by chance and didn’t intend to leave, but he desperately needed a change of pace.
********
Lily lived a simple life away from the busy city. She didn’t hate it, but all the energy it omitted was exhausting. Her family were quiet, serene people, healers mostly, who lived to help others in the peace of the world.
She learned magic early on, things to protect her, what herbs heal emotional wounds, and how to direct her energy to manifest magic. Her magic became much more than just that of a healer, she could manipulate the world to her whim, so when she first killed a man, she ran. She never meant to; she was just unfocused, or at least that’s what she told herself. But she knew she was never meant to be a healer.
Her brother, Doyoung built her the small house without their parents’ knowledge. Doyoung had sensed she would leave and just wanted her to be comfortable, knowing she could easily protect yourself.
She lived in that house very comfortably for many years, many not knowing it was there. She had it painted with protective symbols, hung bundles of sage and cinnamon above every door frame and grew a small herb garden filled with many magical supplements only supernatural creatures could nurture.
********
Yuta’s wobbly legs carried him to the outskirts, where he found a small cottage-like house surrounded by plants and flowers of unbelievable beautiful. Yuta had only seen flowers like that once before when he was first created as a creature of the night.
Some of the paint on the door was beginning to peel and the shingles on the roof needed replacing. He stepped closer to the door as the windchimes hanging outside the window clanked together, a whiff of his favorite sent filling his nostrils, clearing his thoughts of drunken pleasure.
The heavy lock placed on the front door was easily bendable to Yuta’s whim and opened with ease. Lily rarely put charms on her front door. She only did when she felt the energy was out of balance, and that only happened when she was young.
Yuta’s steps were warried yet unwavering. He felt uneasy in the unfamiliar house, something about it was unlike anything he’d ever felt before. Not dangerous or unwelcoming, but he could definitely sense the magic, unable to name or identify it.
His steps were now more comfortable, but the uneasy feeling grew as he drew closer to the main bedroom. He found Lily asleep in a large queen-sized bed, surrounded by pillows. The walls and ceiling had been painted with the night sky, stars shining all around him, illuminating the small figure in the bed.
The rush of energy startled her, causing her to jump at the sight of him, quickly gaining her bearings. Yuta looked down at her with a smirk, using the height difference to his advantage. He took a step towards her, his emotions flooding with something he was unfamiliar to. He felt a desire like no other, not like the stranger at the club.
She was beautiful to him, her short blonde curls were disheveled, and her skin seemed to glow under the painted sky, magic radiated from her. She was not a normal human, and Yuta knew it, but he wanted her. Lily was awestricken with his beauty, but she could tell he wasn’t human. She could see the aura around him was that of a creature.
“Who are you?” she said in a stern but quiet voice.
“I’m just here for some fun, princess.” Yuta had a wide grin on his pretty face as he inched closer to her. He wanted her more than anything, but before he could close the gap between them, she placed a firm hand on his shoulder. Energy surged through her arm, causing him a great deal of pain at the sight of contact. Her touch became heavy and Yuta slunk to the floor falling on his knees in front of her.
“So you’re a witch.” He hissed through clenched teeth, every muscle in his body fighting to keep him from collapsing.
“And what are you?” She demanded, energy flowing through her. But before he could answer, he fell at her feet, unconscious.
The next morning, Yuta awoke with a start, unaware of where he ended up last night. He was surrounded by plush material and a wonderful view of the morning sky. She really is a witch, he thought to himself, regaining his memory.
He was still dressed in his suit pants and white dress shirt, which he rebuttoned before exiting the room. Several different smells clouded his senses. He could smell the cinnamon above the door frames, herbs growing in the windowsills, and the eggs Lily was cooking in the kitchen. He appeared from the narrow hallway.
She could feel his presence before she could see him. “I don’t suppose you eat eggs.” “No.” Yuta was very confused. Why didn’t she just send me back? She’s clearly powerful enough.
“You intrigue me.” She blurted turning to face him. “I can tell what you are, but how did you find me?”
“What do you mean?” Yuta was genuinely confused.
“Touch me.”
His eyes quickly grew wide and his flesh turned a bright red. Many women had asked him to do this, but something about her felt dangerous to him, like she was drawing him in.
She realized her words were misleading and held an outstretched hand for him to take. He calmed his nerves, realizing what she’d meant, but it still felt dangerous.
He slowly reached for her hand, watching her movements for any sign of a trick, but she was calm. He grew nearer to her hand going to take it, but as soon as their skin made contact, he pulled away with a jerk. His hand burned as if he had touched an open flame.
“Something about my magic repels you. Like a werewolf to silver.” He watched his hand, the red marks quickly fading. He was truly baffled by this woman.
She turned back to the food, making herself a plate. “I don’t know what you can eat, but feel free to stay, if you’d like.” She brushed passed him with her plate and cup of fresh cinnamon tea. Yuta caught a whiff as she walked past him, following it to a small nook surrounded by glass walls.
“Why are you doing this?” He inquired.
“Like I said. You intrigue me.”
“No. You know what I am. Why not just send me back?”
She looked into his eyes, the now warm chocolate color changing to match herr deep blue ones. She was nothing like he’d ever seen. He was usually the one to seduce and dominate his partners, but she made him flustered, almost matching his exact energy.
She looked out the window at her small herb garden. “You’re different. I’ve never felt energy like yours in a demon.” Yuta could tell there was more. She wanted him to be able to touch her.
They sat in the small space getting to know each other. Yuta was entirely enthralled by her, her giggle was adorable, and his cold heart sang when she looked at him. Lily felt the same. She couldn’t tell if it was the tea or his beautiful smile that healed her, but she loved it.
“Do you need a change of clothes? I want to show you something.” She asked, getting up to take her dishes to the sink. As ethereal as Yuta was, he did look a bit of a mess. His clothes were dirty, and his hair was tangled.
“I have an apartment in the city. I have a car there.”
And with that you were off.
They walked cautiously through the busy streets of the inner city. Yuta could smell the peppermint Lily always had on her. It was her favorite, so she always kept small candies in her bag. He admired her not only for her naivety, but that she appeared rather fragile while being one of the most powerful mortals he’d ever met.
He led her to a tall building with attendings waiting at the door. “Long night, Mr. Nakamoto?” One inquired as he approached the double doors. “You have no idea,” he muttered under his breath.
He tried to wrap his arm around Lily’s waist to guide her to the elevator out of habit, but he still was unable to touch her. A force held his arm only centimeters from her, not allowing him to shift any closer. Yuta hated this. He was so used to the control of his charms, but he had nothing over her.
His apartment was smaller than she imagined it from the outside. It was a studio apartment with a small kitchen, clothes were splayed out all over the floor. It looked like an average apartment, nothing about it looked off or unusual to the untrained eye. But the energy that flowed through it was unnatural. Lily was raised as a neutral being, that is how she can detect when others are swayed one way or the other. The energy in the small apartment told her what she already knew about Yuta.
She took out a stiped candy from her bad and began to mindlessly eat it, while Yuta disappeared into his walk-in closet. “So where exactly are we going?” He sounded from the other side of the room.
“It’s a…uh… a library of sorts.” The name was sacred to witches. She wasn’t really allowed to show it to him, but she wanted his help in figuring their relationship out.
“Will this do?” He appeared again in slim fitting black jeans and a red t-shirt. She gave him a quick nod accompanied by a small smile. He grabbed a set of keys and wallet from the counter as she stood from her seat, both heading to the door.
Of course, Yuta drove a beautiful silver Bentley. At this point he didn’t surprise her anymore. He had everything a man could want.
The moment Yuta opened the door for her, Lily smelled something musty. She sat in the passenger seat, the energy in the vehicle was overwhelming to her senses. Some one had died in this car. She looked in the bad seat, then to Yuta who was turning the key in the ignition.
“Really? In your car?” She looked at him unamused.
“How could you tell?”
“I can smell it.” He smirked to himself, impressed with her ability.
His driving was reckless, he drove 20 mph over the posted sign, made hasty turns and cut several cars off. Lily’s anxiety was certainly on edge, directing some of her calmed energy onto Yuta as a defense mechanism. He held her life at his fingertips, just how he liked it. She had given him the address of a nearby grocery store. The place they were going had no real address.
They left the car hidden in an ally way behind a French bakery, moving swiftly in between streets. A staircase of weathered concrete led them down to the green door of a small shop owned by a friend of Lily’s brother, Johnny. He had promised Doyoung he’d keep an eye on her, but she never saw him around anymore.
The shop sold comic books and dice sets. It was affectionately called the “nerd store” by many city residents. Lily led Yuta through the shelves to the back counter where Johnny sat on a high stool, sipping a cup of coffee. He glanced up to meet her gaze.
“What’s up, kid?” He stood with excitement at the sight of her. “We need to go… downstairs.” She whispered the last word, careful not to let anyone else hear. Johnny hesitantly moved from behind the counter, shooting a glare in Yuta’s direction, and led the others to a small cupboard under the staircase. “You know what to do.” She gave him a quick nod as he handed her a key the size of a needle.
Johnny was what Lily’s family liked to call a Keeper: a person assigned the task of understanding and protecting knowledge of supernatural magic and the beings that possess it. They don’t possess any magic themselves, only the knowledge to keep it safe. Johnny and Lily’s fathers had been close when they were young and died together in the Unspoken War. That’s how Lily’s family knew him.
As Lily held the miniscule key in her soft hand, the presence of her magic began to change its shape, becoming what looked to Yuta to be a skeleton key. He watched, enchanted by the very presence of the magical key. He had only ever heard of things like this in stories.
The key, now being of normal size, fit the oddly shaped keyhole that locked the cupboard closed. As the small door squeaked open, a void of darkness appeared in front of them. It was inviting to Yuta; he liked a bit of mystery. “Feels like home,” he grinned, following Lily into the confined space.
Once they heard the latch behind them, a sudden boom of light surged across the walls shining brightly above their heads. They were descending on another staircase into what looked like a catacomb. The walls were a dull gray filled with cracks and speckled with patches of moss. The air grew damp as they continued.
At the bottom of the staircase stood a large archway, a simple light switch on the right. Lily flicked it on with a swift finger and behind the archway, a large room covered in shelves burst into life. Lily shifted her weight with purpose going to the exact place she needed as Yuta hung in the archway, awestricken from the sight.
“I thought demons were crazy, but this- This is something else.” His dark chocolate eyes sparkled at the sight.
“Witches like to keep track of what we learn. They made these many years ago and scattered them under every major city in the country. Everything we know about supernatural beings is in this vault.”
Lily immediately started pulling volumes off the shelves, holding them in one arm, immersed in the energy around her.
“How can you tell where everything is?” He watched her carefully as she moved with such grace across the room.
“It’s kinda like sonar. I send energy out into the room and it bounces back to me from the book I need.”
Incredible.
There was so much to witchcraft that Yuta had never understood. He knew they existed, and some were stronger than others, but there was something about Lily that was different than any other he’d encountered. There was something about her that he desperately wanted to unleash.
Yuta had been lost in thought when he noticed Lily had stopped moving. She stood completely still in the center of the room; her arms had been emptied of the large encyclopedias. She held her chin to the ceiling, eyes shut tight and her palms facing upwards. Yuta took light steps closer to her, unable to read her emotion.
As he stood a few feet away, she snapped out of the trance, pulling herself to face Yuta now, then quickly shifted her small frame towards the shelf to her left. She propelled herself up using the edge of the shelves, hanging off the edge as she willed a particularly large book away from the wall and into her delicate hand.
“What?” Her voice was faint, filled with confusion.
“What is it?”
“It’s a book of powerful black magic. My parents used to tell me stories about it.” On the front cover, a shiny luminescent lock was displayed. “Only trained witches of high magical ability can open it. But why would it call to me?”
They both watched, standing side by side, as a blue hue danced across the cover. Yuta thought nothing of the unusual occurrence, only that it was truly enchanting, but Lily was deeply concerned. This book was only used by dark witch of great power. It had started the Unspoken War and held more power than any being. Why me? She thought to herself.
Lily brought the book to the pile of others, taking note of all she had collected. The books were not able to leave the confinement of the catacombs, for it would set the world out of balance, so she and Yuta would have to return for more.
Yuta grew weary at the lack of purpose while Lily paced the floor, trying to absorb as much as possible. He glanced at his gold-plated Rolex, surprised at how much time they had spent under the city. He had grown used to feeding on multiple victims every night and always felt like he needed more. He hadn’t fed since early the night before, before he met Lily, and he was growing much more sinful as the desire to feed grew stronger within him.
Lily could sense his energy change, looking up from her book. His eyes were a void filled with dark desire, his skin glowed among the books. She put all of the books into a box, where they disappeared for a moment and resurfaced in their designated space on the shelf. She grabbed her bag and tossed a striped candy at him. He snatched it out of the air and tore the plastic off.
“Let’s go find you something to eat.”
Johnny waited outside the cupboard door for their return, ready to close the store. Not much was exchanged between the group, the key was given back, and Lily simply said, “We’ll be back tomorrow.” Then, they left to retrieve Yuta’s Bentley from the alley.
Johnny knew Lily well enough to know that she wouldn’t bring a normal human to his store. He wouldn’t have let Yuta in if he was human. But he had a hard time determining what alignment he followed, and reluctantly allowed them to enter the sacred space. He ended up following the pair as they left, keeping his appearance discreet, after quickly locking the doors behind them.
The scent of the vehicle still hung in the air, making Lily cringe and open a window for fresh air. Yuta didn’t tell her where they were going, but he drove with more haste than before, a bloodthirsty need coursing through his body. He pulled up to his favorite club in the city, one he visited often. A neon sign reading “Neo Zone” hung above the entrance. The line was long down the street, eager patrons looking to gain access.
Lily was hesitant, wearing simple jeans and a t-shirt. She had never been to a club before; the amount of tension was exhausting to her.
“Don’t worry about what you’re wearing, just go to the bar and ask for a few rounds of fireballs and put it on my tab,” He instructed her.
“And where are you going?”
“I have to check something; I’ll be right there.” He said it softly, but the tone was urgent.
“Fine” Yuta waived to the familiar bouncer to let her inside and opened to door as she looked back to catch which direction Yuta was going, but he disappeared before she could get the chance.
The crowd was bustling around her, people gyrating to the pounded speakers. She found the corner of the bar where she felt Yuta’s energy. He had been here many times and left a mark on the seat.
“What can I get ya, sweetheart?” The bartenders face looked smug as he looked her up and down.
“A couple of fireballs. On Mr. Nakamoto’s tab, please.” He burst into a sudden fit of laughter but was quickly interrupted by the death stare from Lily, fire burning in her cold eyes. The man’s airway became constricted as he choked on his laughter.
She relaxed into the stool, freeing the man of her grip. “Coming right up.” He said with haste, still slightly out of breath.
Yuta appeared in a flash behind her, wearing a tailored suit. “I found one,” He whispered from behind her. She downed the small glass of alcohol with ease, handing him one. “Where?” “Sitting in front of the staircase. She’s on her phone.”
Lily swirled in her seat, scanning the room, finding their target in a long flowing blue dress, hair pulled back into a bun. “What do you need me to do?”
“She was supposed to meet someone here, but they didn’t show. She’ll be reluctant to come with me, but just give her a little push for me.” Lily nodded, standing from her seat, moving with grace toward the woman. Yuta appeared in front of her, his movements were much more angular and quicker, almost frantic. You watched her every move, reaction, emotion. She shook her head at Yuta looking back down to her phone and he turned his head slightly, glancing at you. My turn.
Lily pushed her energy outward toward the woman and bended it to form a sense of pleasure. Yuta held an outstretched hand that she willingly took. He led her upstairs, glancing over his shoulder at you with a smirk, holding up a coaxing finger for Lily to follow.
He led them to a small room filled with red LED lights lining the ceiling. The large bed covered in black sheets was prominent in the middle of it, almost nothing else decorated it. By the time Lily had reached the door frame, Yuta had pushed himself on top of the weak girl. She was putty in his hands, as most women were. Yuta was an erotic creature by nature, but Lily’s cheeks couldn’t help but match the lighting as she watched.
He ravished her body, running his soft fingers along her skin, kissing along her jaw line, and making her wish she could have more. As the night grew on, Lily became impatient, feeling her own desire to be touched. Yuta’s movement were no longer gentle, much more aggressive.
“Hold her down for me,” he growled through his teeth. Lily shot a glare towards the girl, who’s face was now gripped with fear as her body went completely still. He got up from him place in between her thin legs, his hair was messy and he had taken off his suit jacket and dress shirt several minutes earlier.
The girl tried to squirm out of the grip of energy holding her in place, watching as Yuta meandered to the corner where Lily stood. She had been so entranced by him that she hadn’t noticed Lily enter the room. Lily’s magic was strong around the girl as she did her best to wiggle away from them, to no avail.
“Took you long enough,” Lily muttered in a low tone. “Sorry, princess. I get carried away.” His lips curled into a toothy grin as a pair of sharp fangs appeared.
“Hold her still for me, princess. This is my favorite part.” He crawled on all fours from the foot of the bed to straddle the girl as she lay unable to move. His eyes were jet black as he leaned in and gnawed at the base of her neck, drawing a small amount of blood from the area. She blurted out a curdled scream but was easily silenced by the raise of Lily’s hand.
Yuta’s teeth sank deeper into her flesh as he lapped up the fluid pouring from her neck. Her pale skin had been stained by the splatter of her own blood. Lily watched with an evil smirk as the life left her kind face, letting up on the forceful grip that she had placed around her body. Yuta immerged from the crook of her neck, chest and face smeared with her blood.
His demeaner had changed dramatically from when he had entered the club, his features were softer and his muscled were relaxed. His fangs had retracted, and his eyes were there usual shade of brown.
“I’m gonna go… get cleaned up. Don’t worry about the body, just leave it.” He walked to a door attached to the side of the bedroom that led to a rather bland bathroom, Lily could here the tap running behind the closed door. She left the room, leaving the door ajar for the red lighting to seep out of. A wave of exhaustion hit her like a brick wall as she reached the top of the staircase, suddenly becoming aware of the tole her magic had taken.
She sat on the top stair, holding her head low between her knees. Her vision was slowly blurring as her balance became unstable. Before she knew what hit her, she had collapsed, unconscious against the cool floor of the heated room.

He put down Damian having seen his name one time on a magazine in passing.
Damian believes that this is his kid from the future who time traveled to the past and is taking his role as parent very seriously.
