She first told him it stand for "Duncan". Then, it was "Dragon". Now it's "Dude", she change the meaning every time and it's getting closer to what it actually stand for.

Commission for ThieViusRacoonus on deviantart

He asked me to draw Gertrude and Duncan living as a couple in probably their most peaceful timeline. Basically, the AU were Gertrude decided to stay in Fairyland, grew up with Duncan, and eventually became a Dragon inhabitants as well.

Also ! Best timing in the world, without revealing too much of the latest issue, since it's still recent, but let's say the Dragon suit designed for Gert is completely accurate.

Anyway, It was very nice to work on, really cute stuff.
