Surah Hujurat (surah # 49) Madina me san 9 hijri me naazil huvi. Jab is surah ka nuzool hua tab mukhtalif ilaako ke giroho ke sardar aur representatives Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ki khidmat me islam qubool karne ki dichaspi ke sath tashreef laane lage the. Is surah ka epicenter aadab ki taleem hai jo iman ka taqaza hai, jo islami mu'ashre ko tandurust rakhne ke liye lazim hai. Ayat 1 se 5 me is baat ki taqeed ki gayi hai ki iman wale apni baat pesh karne me Allah aur Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam se aage na badhen aur Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ke adab o ehtaram ka poora dhan rakhen. Ayat 14 se 18 me un musalmano par giraft hai jo islam to qubool kar chuke lekin imaan abhi unke dilo me nahi utra. Un par is baat ki wazahat ki gayi ki sahi iman woh hai jisme shak ya shubah na ho aur momin woh hai jo Allah ki rah me apni jaan aur maal ke sath jaddo jahad kare.

Ab agar ibtedayi daur me jab kisi ne shariyat ke asl taqazo ko na pehchana ho, aur dekha dekhi me islam qubool kar liya ho, to uska islam aur imaan kaamil nahi kehlata, jab tak ke woh amal ke maidan me na utre aur apni jaan, maal aur dil se, apna waqt laga kar, apni khwahishat ko pare rakh kar iman ki mithaas ko na chakh le. Iman ka rishta insan ke dil ki gawahi par mushtamil hota hai. Sirf zubani dawa ho aur dil par qubooliyat ki mohar na lagi ho to woh dawa bemana hai. Zubani iqrar kar lena kaafi nahi, jab tak ke iman uske dil me na utre. Allah aur Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ki farmabadari sirf tab mumkin hai jab insan iman laye. Aur jo log farmabardar honge, unhe unke aamal ka poora poora badla diya jayega. Sachhe momin ki pehchan yeh hai ki woh Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam par is qadr iman lata hai ki uske dil me koi shak nahi hota balki kaamil yakeen hota hai ki mein jis rah par chal raha hu wahi sidha rasta hai, mein Allah ko mabood maan raha hu, yakinan Allah ke siwa koi bhi ibadat ke layak nahi, koi aur nafa wa nuksan ka malik nahi. Aisa insan kabhi islam ki khatir qurbaniyan dene me pichhe nahi hat'ta. Iman uske dil me paiwast ho jata hai, yaha tak ki woh woh apne iman ki khatir apne jaan-maal ki parwah nahi karta aur baatil se taqraane ka jazba uske dil me mazboot ho jata hai. Apne deen ke mutallik woh kisi kash'ma'kash ka shikar nahi hota.
Woh baddu jinke bare me in ayaat me zikr hai, woh munafik nahi the, mushrik nahi the, balki abhi wo sirf ibtidayi islam ke daur me the, unho ne koi taalim hasil nahi ki thi, apne zubani ikrar ko abhi unho ne amal ka jaaama nahi pehnaya tha, aur unke dilo ke haal se Allah baa'khabar tha, isliye un par yeh tambeeh ki gayi aur yeh bhi wazeh kiya gaya ki islam la kar woh Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam par koi meharbani nahi kar rahe hai, balki Allah ka unpar khas fazl hai jo unhe deen e haqq ki qubooliyat ka sharf hasil hua, jis par agar woh saabit qadam rahenge to aakhirat sanwar jayegi aur najat ka raasta aasan ho jayega.
Daur e haazir ke musalmano ki ek badi taa'daad deen ka iLm aur salaf ka fahm nahi rakhti. Iman ke taqazo se woh sire se bekhabar hai aur gaflat ki zindagi guzar rahe hai. Yaha tak ki kaee muslaman to aise hai ke islam ke arkan se bhi waqif nahi. In ayat ki roshni me yeh kaha ja sakta hai ki aise log kalma-go musalman to hain, lekin unke amal, unke aqwaal, unke ausaaf aur unke rawayye se lagta hai ki woh asl iman ki haqiqat se bilkul bekhabar hain aur is khaam-khayali me mubtala hain ki sirf kalma padh lena unhe jahannum se najat aur jannat me daakhila dila dega! Agar woh in ayaat par gaur karen to unke aankhe khulengi in'sha'Allah.
Aage ki ayat me bataya gaya hai ki agar woh baddu sachmuch apne iman ke dawe me khare hain, to unhe samajna chahiye ki islam qubool karke unho ne Nabi sallallahu alaihi wa sallam par koi ehsan nahi kiya hai, balki Allah ka ehsan hai jo Usne unhe raah dikhayi hai.
Jo log bahari ya zubani kalma padh kar apne islam ko kaafi samjte hain, unke liye warning hai ki Allah se unke dilo ka haal chhupa hua nahi hai. Agar upar upar se islam ka dawa hai aur ander se dil iman se khaali hai to upari islam ka Allah ke paas ko mol nahi hai.
Allah hame sahi mano me islam ko samjne, iman ke taqazo ko samjne aur us par sanjeedgi ke sath amal paira ho kar Allah ki raza, Allah ki khusnoodi aur Allah ki qurbat haasil karne ki tawfeeq ata farmaye. Aamin.

Translation of Ayahs in English:
The bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, "You have not [yet] believed; but say [instead], 'We have submitted,' for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." 49:14
The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah . It is those who are the truthful. 49:15
Say, "Would you acquaint Allah with your religion while Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is Knowing of all things?" 49:16
They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful." 49:17
Indeed, Allah knows the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seeing of what you do. 49:18
Explanation:
The lexical meaning of the word Islam is ‘submission and humility’; while the lexical meaning of the word Iman is ‘assurance and confidence’. Therefore, the meaning of Islam in the language of the Divine teachings is the state of humility and submission to the Creator of the Universe and that which is opposite to this is Shirk (polytheism) and Ilhad (atheism). It should also be mentioned that an atheist is not humble or submissive to anything, whereas a Mushrik (polytheist) submits to idols, bodies or things that have been fashioned by one’s own hands.
The reality of Islam is to worship Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and to turn away from everything other than Him, and during all times and ages this is what mankind has been commanded to follow.
The meaning of Iman in the Qur’an is voluntary submission and obedience to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and those things which are connected to Him such as the Prophetic Mission of the Prophets, the Day of Judgement, the Heavenly books and other (such) things and this is the opposite to Kufr in which all of these things or even some of them are denied and not accepted.
