#spoilers for the sandman comics #so there was a person who sent an ask to another saying how they didnt want to read the comic #but like. the reasons they gave was that delirium was a sexualized teen???? that played a part of dreams death????#like. i wasnt the only one confused on this either #bc someone else in the comics was asking what they meant #but the op of the post also never read the comic (but does know of some of the other characters in comic)#so they just agreed #but. im so confused on what they meant #as someone who read the comic i can agree that del had some dubious like age expressions. but not one that was. sexualized.#when you first meet her she comes off as more of a young adult in her 20s in appearance #plus the casting call is for someone in the young adult range.#there is a scene where shes talking about her people (the delirious) and is in the form of a immigrant child. but its. not sexualized???#im. really confused.#there is some art but i dont remember those being the comics #the one i can think off the top of my head is delights image #where shes covered in like. a ink like dress #there is a image that i think is from the comic of her showing a nipple but like. she doesnt look like a child. or a teen.#and the other ones like that that are suggestive photos. arent from the comic #but also. delirium definitely didnt want dream to die lmao #so i think this person is either misunderstanding the sources theyre getting #or seeing some of the source and assuming thats what it is #like i will agree that that one image if it is from the comic (which like. since it looks more like a mashup of coraline.) is reathwr bad #but also not everyone with a small chest is a child. im not going to go into that though.#google images does recognize this imsge as being from sandman it just doesnt say if its actually there #and etsy is the only thing that has anything of it but its a book gallery of sandman that is fanart #but it is also. a image of her on wiki (though that doesnt mean much)#if it seems like im rambling i just am deep in looking for this bc no artist is even listed for it anywhere #and ive never really seen them do something like that straight up to a perceived child character

me when i’m the audiences’ least favourite character and finally get my redemption arc only to be reduced to a stripper joke in the finale. and the woman i would give my life for disappears and i don’t spend any time looking for her, and only reference her once to make someone else happier about their life.

me when i’m a well loved character that audiences love because of my spontaneous acts of chaos and caring soul, only to be shoved aside and have my whole life ruined in the finale.

me when i’ve had so much taken away from me in my life that i had to resort to becoming the villain of my own story just to return to the people i love, only for my love interest which i fought so hard for to be left barely mentioned in the finale, and his absence doesn’t do anything to motivate my actions.

me when i spend years on self improvement before getting sucked back into my dark, self destructive ways and barely any of my so called family notices. and then my entire arc is left unnoticed and does absolutely nothing to my character development.

me when i spend my whole life trying to protect my family and have a clear set of priorities and passions, and then i throw that all away when i see a chance to get with my brother’s wife who’s physically 20 years older than i am.

me when i'm practically sacrificed because the girl i love is is the key to the end of the world, and all i do is turn into a hideous creature without any real sendoff or significant death scene.

me when i've been arguably the most significant character for the whole show just to get zero character development throughout the finale as i'm separated from the rest of the main cast.

me when i was introduced later in the show because of my vital importance to the plot, only to have my personality stripped from me so i can cheat on my fan favourite husband with his brother.

me when i'm a squid that swallows a girl and no one cares to explain why.

worst way to start my new year, thanks. i have a lot of things to say about these companies but i'm tired and just keeping it focused to the pin side of things for this one. do not ever buy pins from these companies, literally ALL of them are stolen from small artists like me. if you want to buy enamel pins, check out etsy, and artist's personal websites and shops! (though even Etsy has some bootleg pins that ship straight from china, so tread carefully…)

Every pin I've designed is, thus far, EXCLUSIVE to my etsy. if you find it anywhere else, it's been ripped off! and once these stupid bootlegs pop up, it's basically a never ending game of whack-a-mole trying to get them all taken down...

#practicing with my friends kitty #a doodley #im getting confused because obviously theres no White so you have to add tons of water to get a really light color #but even when i wait for a base to fully dry #adding a really wettened color doesnt really work out how i want it to #also dont understand how to blend wet on dry base color without lifting the color underneath #bc it keeps happening ...#im literally Learning. this shit is so embarrassing #i know how to get the balance of a LOT of pigment with a right amt of water #but idk how to do the same with less pigment #ANYWAY dis is hahnemuhle 100% cotton cold press sketchbook (the blue label one)#and combination holbein and DS waterkolors #i used mechanical pencil then went over it with watercolor then added colored pencil at the end
