I'm taking the chance to just talk about my personal dsmp au that is basically canon if you don't think about it

I don't think we as a community wrote enough about demon ctommy. he was always my favorite it just gives him this evil vibe that I think is sooo funny and I always see it in ctommy art but never in literally any fic. and that's fine but imp or whatever-he-is-Tommy will always be real in my heart. in my head he used to be a bird hybrid, but when he died for what was supposed to be the final time they took his fucking wings and gave him cunty demon horns and tail. Death made him emo. for the sake of this narrative his wings used to be white too. Pair this with religious ctommy and you get peak

ctubbo. I think about him a lot. I think personally he wears armor under his coat. You'd think it start to get hot under there, and it does. his solution is to just Never leave the Arctic.

At some point he started developing resting bitch face, because it used to just be resting (autistic face of neutrality) but now he kind of just looks tired all the time. Not like Tommy's rbf where he looks like he's kinda pissed and has a headache 24/7. but at least they're semi matching now. bff's!!! (?) First of all I really love your work but I have a few questions.

What types of critters exist in your world? For example, there are magical critters and regular critters, are there other types of critters?

How does magic work in your world?

If I had to describe the worldbuilding of this AU its a mix of Beastars and Brand New Animal. There are all sorts of critters, since the release of the nightmare critters it's apparent now besides mammals and avian critters, there's reptilians, amphibians and aquatic types as well. I don't think there would be a worry for "cannibalism"/"meat eating" like beastars has but idk that's something I have to work on.

I want to make it so there's a sort of "class" system, gotta figure out what else to call them but here goes (will probably delete this later cuz im cringing)

Regular

as the name suggests, critters class have no magic, these are usually mammal, reptilian or amphibian types. They have abilities as regular animals do, claws, inhuman strength, toxin properties, so on so forth.

Gifted

critters under gifted class are known to have some form of magic but this just for those the can morph part of their bodies or know lesser magic. Avian and aquatic critters fall under this because they can manipulate their limbs. Bird types can morph their arms into wings, regardless of their actual bird species being flighted or flightless. Even though aquatic critters tails are separate and they have webbing in their hands and feet they can still fuse their legs with their tails to swim faster. It's more so for convenience sake when they wanna get out of the water.

Mythic

it just sounds as it does. Critters that are based on mythological creatures (pegasus, griffins, etc.) fall under this just by existence alone. They have forms of magic usually based on element (dragons fire breath, Kelpies water manipulation). Unicorns however are sort of known as witches of the world.

Titan

These are an older generation of critters, since the time before humans became on top. As the name suggests they are big, back then being as tall as mountains but since then have become increasingly smaller but with long lifespans. The only existing Titan classed critters are insectoids and arachnids.

In your defense, you don’t keep up with godly politics.

That’s not to say you’re uneducated. You know the basics: who the Olympians are, who Lord Hades is—hell, you have him to thank for giving you the greatest job in the world—but anything that involves delving any deeper into the ever-complicated and drama-filled family they are, you have no interest. So when a man with messy black hair and hellhound skulls on his shoulder winds up in your domain, you don’t see Underworld royalty but your next meal.

Alright, time to get to work.

You hide away most of your physical succubus-traits like muscle memory, hardly thinking as your horns, wings, and tail disappear in an instant. The only telling sign you’re not human: your eyes, with vertical-slit pupils against (your eye color) irises.

“Uhhh hi,” He greets you when he notices you across the chamber. He’s got his hand halfway up to his mouth, cupped with the revitalizing water of the fountain residing by the far wall. You tilt your head curiously, raising a brow at his tone, amicable and unafraid, and his smile, friendly and almost open, despite having barely registered your presence. And towards a creature like you.

Handsome and strange. You should have known. Those two usually go hand in hand.

The thought makes you return his smile. “Normally, I would welcome newcomers, but you do realize that’s my fountain you’re drinking out of?”

“Your fountain?“ Bruised and calloused hands go slack, and the water splashes back into the bowl. He sounds incredulous, as if you can’t possibly own something, and it makes you bristle.

But you’re a professional.

You scoff, “Well, not mine mine, as everything in the Underworld belongs to Lord Hades, but this one specifically is for my use.”

“… I see. My apologies,” You almost accept it, if not for the way his lips twitch like your statement is humorous. Still, he takes a step back, respectful of your supposed property. "In that case, might I ask you to grant me a sip?”

Apologizing. Asking. Not even demanding but politely asking for permission, even if he doesn’t seem to believe you. Gods, he truly doesn’t know where is, or at the very least, what you are.

You suppress a chuckle: you can work with this.

“You know what? Go ahead, you look like you can use the drink,” You say and he glances down at himself, taking in the gash on his shoulder, the burns, the blood. (Most of it isn’t even his.) Usually, you’d jump straight into your main course but no matter. Meat tastes much better when properly prepared anyway.

His smile broadens, “Thank you, good shade.”

You don’t bother to correct him, just as you don’t ask for his name. Seems pointless, considering you’re going to consume him soon enough.

He leans over the fountain’s rim and brings a handful of water to his lips. Your eyes trail after the few stray droplets dripping down his chin, down his neck, as most of the wounds stop bleeding, close up, or even disappear altogether, Your stomach rumbles softly.

“So,” Your reflection ripples in the water as he glances up at you across the basin. Studying him, you cross your arms over your chest, cleavage accentuated by your chiton as your natural aura seeps through little by little in a constant stream. Too quick and the man will convulse on the floor before you can even get a taste. Don’t want to drive the man into madness yet. “What’s someone like you doing in this corner of Tartarus?”

If he’s trying to keep his eyes above your collar, you can’t tell as he straightens up, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “Someone like me?”

“Yes. Most poor souls sent my way aren’t so…” You round the fountain and circle him, his eyes following after you as you gesture to his—well, everything. Nothing about him screams disgusting sinner per se, but that doesn’t necessarily make him Elysium-worthy.

He stares at you inquisitively. “I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but I wasn’t sent here by anyone. Not technically anyway. The Underworld’s an ever-shifting labyrinth; I usually go where it leads me, and fortunately it’s led me to your fountain.”

You stop before him, and he lets you absentmindedly prod one of the hellhound skulls. You smile wryly, “Fortunate, yes.” For me, perhaps.

“And what of you, dear shade?”

You retract your hand, blinking up at him. “Pardon?”

“You seem to have made a home for yourself. Lovely, I must say,” He looks around your chamber, from the drapes by the balcony entrance to the green flames licking at your fireplace to the many canvases, one of them half-finished and perched on your easel. He steps around you, and you trail after him as he moves to examine the black and white details. “Did you do all these yourself?”

Your eyes flicker over him, suspicious. “Y-yes, I did.”

He turns to you, and you’re taken aback as your gaze meets steady, heterochromatic eyes, so much so you know he’s being genuine as he asks, “They’re magnificent. Are you a deity of the arts perhaps?”

“O-oh, thank you, but I’m not…” You clear your throat, “It’s just a hobby, something to pass the time.” When I’m not consuming the souls of sinners.

Warmth blooms across your cheeks, and you purse your lips at your stutter. You’re used to flattery, so how would this be any different? Your food never took notice of their surroundings, much less your work.

Then again, they always were too enraptured by your aura.

Sneaking of which, why isn’t he?

You eye his form, watching for the slightest hint he’ll double over with a raging hard-on as your aura releases, more intense than before. Still, he continues, admiring your paintings, your sketches, half-finished works you left on the back burner. Is he truly unaffected by you?

Before you can add anything else, he’s at your balcony, overlooking the lower levels of Tartarus. “Well, I can’t wait to see more next time.”

…Next time???

“Next time?”

A hand on the balustrade, he glances at you over his shoulder and grins, “I don’t know when I’ll see you again, but if the Fates are kind, I hope it’s soon.”

Then he leaps.

You shout, rushing over to the railing where he last stood. Dead or not, the impact will hurt like hell. (Favorite color) wings sprout out of your back. You’re fast enough, you can still—

Stone rumbles, and you peak over the railing, unable to contain the relieved sigh seeing the man—strange and handsome and strange—safely standing on the platform below your chamber, unharmed. No fall damage.

Of course you knew that was there. Obviously.

Once he disappears behind the door, his burning feet leaving scorch marks in the brick stone path, you finally let out your horns and your tail.

Okay, i have the first five stars. this took way longer than expected lol.

@allyheart707 is the one on Casey's tail. she is the star of sleep, and her bow carries dream arrows that grant those she shoots with it the dreams they will love the most.

@onlyhereforturtles is the fox looking at the black that Casey always leaves behind when he walks. They are a kitsune with markings that were surprisingly hard to get right. i was unable to add in all the stuff they mentioned, but i hope this is still acceptable.

@kitmay05 is the one waving at Casey. She is a small farmer who harvests shinedust and gifts it in little pouches to people in need. different kinds of shinedust has different qualities. she has a hoe that can be used for farming or whacking.

@cosmocafe is the goat floating at the top left. the only thing they mentioned was for the goat to have a scarf, so i made up a few little things while i was drawing. they can float and wherever they step they leave swirls of various different temperatures depending on the season. they help make the winter cold and the summer hot.

@icequeenabby is the little owl on Casey's head. she flies around the night sky while the other farmer stars are working to harvest the shinedust. she likes to fly underneath them and catch some of the stray dust on her wings. she will then happily fly around the newer shines that are just blooming and shower then with the dust to make them glow even brighter. she also has a stick. there isn't anything special about this stick. but she will kill you if you try to take it from her.

Whew, okay. that took forever. i still have two more stars to add to this, and then i wanna make individual drawings for each star. also, im calling the characters "stars" and the actual glowing dots in the sky "shines" so as not to get them confused with each other. I also want to add that i'm sorry if the stars don't look exactly how you guys described them. i did my best, and for some of the harder ones i just gave up and simplified them. at this point i'm too tired to change anything about it. oh. the explanation for why the stars are following Casey. sometimes, Casey will be walking through the Night sky to do something. sme of the stars see him and decide "oh! it's the Night Spirit! i bet i could help him with some stuff!" and they just start following him. they usually follow him around for as long as possible until he tells them to leave or to go do something. they will even follow him outside of the nighttime. Casey acts like he despises these little guys and their persistence. but he actually adores each one of them and will take a bullet to protect his tiny star bebes. the edgelord will never admit it though.

also, fun fact: the night sky is a little world of its own! it may just look like the sky from the earth, but it is more of a vast expanse of white where all the night spirits live. and yes, i know what you are thinking. "white? shouldn't it be black?" well, It is a mix of both. Wherever the upper spirits walk, the leave black footprints that spread like markers bleeding into paper. the blackness will eventually all drip away and land on the border between the celestial realm and the mortal one. then it just stays there, making the sky look black to everyone below. the Shines are bright enough to be able to shine through the backness though, giving the look of a night sky. also, only spirits can go through the borders alone. any mortal has to have celestial help to get to the celestial realm.

it might be a bit until i work on this again since i have a ton of work to do, family staying at our house for the eclipse, a bunch of other drawings i wanna get done, and way too little sleep to function properly. so yeah, imma sleep for a bit. catch up on some stuff. and then i will likely start up on this again. ALSO!! feel free to make this digital and add your own stars to this! i'd love to see what other people can come up with for this!

heres monster au melone & some of the concept sketches for his sigil. yes he actually looks like this .

this was supposed to be short and a quick summary but then i started saying things so... monster au loredump!! with a couple of visuals!!

hes a cambion (so half-human and half-demon) and for some reason people seem to think its his fault he is the kid of a demon as if he had a fuckin say in that?

hes actually not as bad as hes generally made out to be (he kinda wishes people would jump to conclusions a little less often when they hear hes a cambion because it's pretty annoying). I mean he's pretty strange and likes to weird people out but . He's not actually as bad as people assume.

I'd say most likely hes also got some real stress from his whole situation and some shit thats happened to him (almost definitely some of it is thanks to him being the kid of a demon). Whatever background / general circumstances he has, it's given him either some kind of trauma or some other various psychological-emotional issues that he probably tries to mask by his habit of being offputting just to mess with people. not totally sure what specifically is up with him but theres definitely a lot going on there that he would prefer not to discuss

but hes still a little bastard and i still want to hit him with a rolled up newspaper. di molto THIS, bitch *smacks him upside the head*

physiology

Melone is actually the most unique in terms of known infernals in monster au insofar; unlike trish, diavolo, and abbacchio (kinda), Melone falls under the category of 'head-horned' and 'pencil-tailed' (or 'wire-tailed').

Most infernals seen in the Monster AU sorta resemble D&D style tieflings; Trish, Diavolo and Abbacchio are all considered face-horned and slope-tailed and are also wingless. Though Abbacchio is 'smooth-tailed' and Trish and Diavolo are 'fur-tailed', their construction is essentially the same.

Melone has a semblance to the more simplified / stylised pop media depictions of demons, yknow, like the little devil on the shoulder guy, little horns on the top of the head, thin pointy tail, tiny wings, etc. These kinds of demons do exist, but they are actually incredibly rare, on account of their physiological construction being pretty uhhh... not the best . (IM NOT CALLING YOU 'GOOD BOY' THIS BODY STRUCTURE IS SHIT!!!!!)

the wings are exclusively aesthetic, (yes they are actually they (unsurprisingly) can't actually even remotely support his weight (nature takes pity on these fuckers and usually these demons are able to semi-innately use minor levitation instead) and he can barely move them either, since they're barely connected to him if at all.

The horn placement doesn't really have an evolutionary bearing (face-horned infernals seem to be more common for some reason or another, but head-horned infernals aren't too rare); it's more just that the size of the horns that are seen on his specific breed/species are pretty much useless and seemingly have little to no function other than making hats hard to wear and getting in the way when they're trying to brush their hair.

his ears are pointed but short; whether this has to do with his hybridism or not isn't entirely clear, but they're observed to have a limited range of independent motion (he can move them somewhat). Demons with longer ears can also often achieve some level of independent motion; how much can vary, but generally, it ranges between only being able to twitch them to having either up-and-down motion or outward-inward motion, but never both. Which type of ear movement a demon has is often based on the natural position of the ears or the 'function' that the specific demon has.

Melone's ears, however, despite being shorter, have the same quality of hearing and a much wider range of motion, having both up-down and forward-backwards movement, likely owing to the muscles and cartilage that would have contributed to ear length—instead being structured to facilitate the expanded range of motion. or some shit

the construction of a pencil-tailed demon's tail is frail and lacks power, yet seems to be important for the flow of magic through their bodies. Unfortunately for them, though the tails can be somewhat prehensile, they are pretty easily chopped off due to the bones inside them being light and fragile and the tails themselves being very thin. Slope-tailed infernals, on the other hand, have much sturdier construction, thicker and stronger bones, more flesh to protect the bones, and some species also have tough scales.

magic

Melone has access to a range of magic as an infernal cryptian; almost every demon in human society has access to illusory magic out of necessity. His illusory magic is by default active on himself, but through magic development and practice, he can also use it beyond himself, though his illusory magic seems unusually (unusual for demons in general, anyway... not necessarily unusual for his kind) limited to only working on living things, people specifically.

He mostly keeps it confined to himself, but also often extends it to Ghiaccio since Ghiaccio isn't a magic user and has trouble with his partial transformations happening near-constantly (in reaction to his emotional states and sometimes just randomly). The auxiliary magic is pretty much the thing that best helps Ghiaccio with human passing. He hates his ailuranthropy and hates exhibiting it, so aside from just keeping Ghiaccio safe in general through helping with human-passing, it also makes the poor bastard feel a bit better since his ailuranthropy isn't showing.

Melone may push his luck and test Ghiaccio's (and Risotto's) patience with the use of a cheap laser pointer but at least he still cares. (the laser pointer 'prank' perpetuated by Melone and Formaggio irritates Risotto to the point where (to quote myself, from an earlier post:) the members of the team are explicitly told, sternly, by risotto, not to carry and/or use laser pointers around the hideout anymore, because the laser pointers’ literal only use is making Ghiaccio accidentally break the furniture and they frankly can’t afford it (risotto vc) "i do not care how fucking funny you think it is we don’t have the funds for the potential collateral")

As mentioned, Melone also has use of levitative abilities. which he naturally over-uses because it's fun and awesome to be able to freely float around with the exertion of little to no physical effort. he frequently hovers a bit and has a tendency to like. recline mid-air you know the sort. Every so often, if he's particularly tired, he can, somehow, fall asleep in mid-air.

in particular, due to his species / breed plus his demihumanity, he can't really use offensive magic—or things such as aurafire or flares—aside from using very weak projections in desperate situations but it tends to drain him quickly and doesn't do much damage.

regarding his concentration of mana / magic and its flow through him;

Like many inherently-magical creatures, Melone needs to have a proper manaflow for the sake of his own health.

mana and mana exhaustion monster au lore side tangent

For creatures that are magical in nature—I'm gonna call those magicrypts (magic cryptians) to make this a bit quicker—they rely on manaflow to live just as much as bloodflow and airflow—assuming they even need either of those. Actually, the reason that it's often hard to kill demons and magicrypt in general without utilising their weaknesses is that if they start suffering blood loss (asphyxiation, too, sometimes), they can supplement it with their manaflow, which keeps them alive despite exsanguination ( / asphyxiation ). Stand Users are also supernaturally vigorous which may have some relation to the flow of mana even for non-mage humans.

They are always, or almost always, circulating mana, and they must be able to replenish their supply of it so they don't run out. Most beings do not naturally produce it on their own, though, and instead gain it through mana absorption which has various methods / types. Often, creatures that need mana to survive have a way to stockpile / store it for later use, which facilitates the use of 'actual magic'—magic is kinda a synonym of mana, but can also mean magic that's 'used', castmagic (I don't like the term 'spell', it's too specific).

A magicrypt without mana storing capacity (very rare) has a lesser capacity for castmagic, unless they draw the mana for the casting directly from their environment which is incredibly hard to do, especially in such a short amount of time—and especially when the mana is converted directly into castmagic without pre-conversion in the body, wherein a magicrypt's manaflow naturally converts the inbound mana into the most efficient, practical, or usable form—so, casting magic like this has a high risk of backfire.

As a little piece of trivia, because it's a radiation of magical energy, if a magic-reliant monster suddenly loses too much and they can't replenish, they will drain their own aura into mana just to prolong their own survival for just a little while longer.

Melone has a typical construction that facilitates storing mana and building up an extra supply of it for use without disrupting his vital primary manaflow. If he ever were to run out of mana completely, Melone would most likely fall severely ill, and eventually die soon after his aura starts fading, if somehow he wasn't able to restore his manaflow before then.

It also should be noted—there is a minor caveat for someone such as Melone when it comes to mana exhaustion:

... as a Stand User, his soul's energy (which is, for all intents and purposes, a form of mana) is manifested as an entity—a Stand—and, consequently, Baby Face is essentially a mass of concentrated energy. If the body exhausts all mana, isn't replenishing, and has already drained its aura's mana as a last-ditch substitute... well, obviously, the body is gonna start pretty much straight-up metabolising the Stand into magical energy, which is incredibly hard to recover from, assuming the person even manages to survive after that point.

Popular to contrary belief, most demons probably have souls. Also all Stand Users have souls (unless in a very specific kind of special case) because their Stands 'are' their souls.

While having proper blood and oxygen flow/supply seems like it should mean he would be fine just surviving off of that, especially given his half-humanity—which does allow him to do this for a while—Melone still cannot survive without mana... at least, certainly not without likely feeling he'd rather be dead instead, because any survival past mana exhaustion is pretty agonising; and also... as stated, after total loss of manaflow and exhaustion of a Stand User's aura, the, like... magic 'respiratory system' instinctively starts absorbing the Stand and using it as mana, which... kind of destroys the psyche? like, that's basically the body obliterating its own soul. after that point youre just. fucked. but—basically, it's unlikely for anyone to survive mana exhaustion once it gets to the point of magically cannibalising their Stand (kinda like how you're fucked once rabies becomes symptomatic), and if they do, there's a strong chance they will never recover anyway.

Circumstances differ, but the conversion of the Stand into mana cannot be undone. Not really, anyway, but if a piece of the Stand remains in its original form, there's a slim chance it could be restored, though this would be hard; and most notably of all, the loss of the Stand is like the loss of the Soul, and a loss of the Soul, especially in this way, directly damages the psyche, which leaves the sufferer as basically a 'shell of their former selves'. While they may be able to function and live, their personality will be vastly different, if they have a detectable personality left at all.

back to talking about melone

For demons, or at least demons of Melone's type, their tails are (essentially) organs for mana intake of various sorts, and also sort of contain a mana 'artery' of sorts as all or most manaflow is "attached" to it. So if a demon of that sort were to lose their tail, they might be unable to replenish their manaflow, and would probably start 'bleeding' magic likely to the point of quick mana exhaustion and eventual death (as above).

Melone's tail, though it tends to mainly move either expressively or absentmindedly (like with most tailed monsters), often is seen pointed towards the ground or resting against it, which he claims is because that's how he collects magical energy.

It's actually not the most effective way of magic absorption for him, because of his species type. His demon half is most likely 'animasugent' (or maybe manasugent I haven't decided yet); so would primarily use 'sugent' absorption, or 'sapping'—basically, he's meant to drain energies from others and then convert them into his own manaflow—rather than the environmental absorption he claims to do. Sugent absorption is presumably what he (the demon part of him, rather) is cryptophysiologically 'designed' to perform. But he's honestly—despite what others' assumptions would likely have you believe—not a big fan of the 'traditional' method even when sugent absorption would be quicker and more effective for him, so he relies mostly on the environmental absorption and just does it more often to compensate.

Alternatively, he can also do lunar absorption—collecting magical energy from the moon, which is known to be a major source of magical energy for Earth as a whole. This pretty much just entails going outside at night and having access to the moonlight.

There's a very small problem to this method, and it's that Melone is one of the unfortunate (few? many? hard to say) who are susceptible to moonsickness. Effectively every cryptian and/or mage has a particular threshold for mana exposure tolerance. Moonsickness is, to put it simply, what happens when that threshold is passed in regards to the moon. It's a bit awkward because it's a very general term that could also refer to a few specific things, but generally, moonsickness is a 'magical' illness that occurs with overexposure to the moon and/or its magical energy.

It's because the moon and moonlight are arguably the most powerful sources of magical energy on Earth (it's something about the moon itself that makes the sunlight suddenly become magical upon being reflected off its surface—sunlight is not inherently magical in most ways that aren't related to Hamon) and have their own 'kind' of magical energy, lunar mana, and some people can have different tolerances for terrestrial mana vs lunar mana, which is why moonsickness is so prevalent. So a being who can use magic just fine, such as Melone, can still be pretty sensitive to the moon's energy.

The exact symptoms of moonsickness are kind of dependent, there seem to be different 'kinds' of moonsickness, or it affects people differently based on certain factors. It can affect the same person in different ways if the conditions are 'right'.

Some sufferers of moonsickness suffer it like an actual physical illness, usually experiencing nausea, terrible headaches, fever, congestion, etc. like, sometimes people just get the fucking flu from the moon.

Some sufferers have a sort of overflow upon being hypercharged from the moon's energy, and despite being too full of energy, they display the exact opposite; they suddenly become weak and fatigued, lose all their strength, and oftentimes, they briefly faint or collapse.

Some sufferers are afflicted with magical malfunction—either their abilities don't work, don't work properly, backfire, or just straight-up go haywire (this is common in children with magical inclinations).

Finally, some moonsick individuals slip into lunacy, a violent and/or incoherent state where the sufferer is likely to endanger themselves and others. Lunacy is most often seen in zooanthropes, but other cryptians can also suffer from it.

Melone's symptoms vary on the day. He can do lunar absorption if he's careful or finds a balance, but he generally stays out of moonlight. At my current concept, on the Full Moon, I figure he loses all magic ability (and the loss of power lingers into the following morning, probably, like a magic hangover) but Melone probably spends a good portion of the night making sure Ghiaccio isn't about to go insane anyway (the full moon seems to be the one time that he fully transforms, so he's usually in a lot of pain which naturally pisses him off) . not 100% on that tho

Alrighty so cedric is part of the au "the lands beyond" cause thats apparently what im calling now, where hes got his own kingdom and such and such (his kindgom is called Siwyn and its region of origin is called Perudis)

But the best part is that i made him godrick's brother! Older or younger, doesn't matter, he doesn't care. He's a graftoid just like him and has gone absolutely crazy with it by grafting not just arms and legs, no no, but whole torsos. He's a human centipede, in every aspect of the term, ten gnarly segments of "wtaf" sauce. The two much longer hands on his last ass, lmao, are supposed to be like the two long pincers of a centipede's tail, except the pincer parts are just four really long keratinous fingers with sharp bony edges (like blades) so when they stab, they rip on the way out

Where godrick has a dragon hand, cedric has wings, not dragon wings though. Dragon wings were too heavy so he made some, tattered but working, stuck on his back, outta arms grafted onto arms to make giant hands (with skin attached between the digits from that of cadavers). When he isn't using them they're wrapped around his upper half like a webbed coat of flesh

He's old, and his long white hair reflects most of that. Hes been growing it out for centuries, only cut it once after it caused him to trip and fall down a flight of stairs (which isnt very fun with a body like his) 💀💀

Cedric and his peeps worship giant monster centipedes (bigger than those mfs in sekiro), but they arent strangers to dragons. Frankly, the centipedes could give the dragons a challenge.. And they use their poisonous blood and potent venom to make themselves alike. Centipedes are a lot less negotiable though, and will still eat people if they get too close. They're respected as beautiful but deadly things that should be admired from a distance

Only king cedric himself is recognized by the centipedes as kin, not just because of his abominable visage but also from the way he smells. Hes been infusing himself with their blood for a long time, a self-sacrificing experiment like the grafting that for some reason hasn't killed him

All dragons in the Miracle AU are Cybertronian. There are no organic dragons. As for other Mythical creatures, you have the Mermaids, Centaurs, Trolls, Giants, and Harpies. There are also extinct races like the Ents and Griffins.

I'm going to tell you a bit about these races as I have no self control and you've gotten the writing juices flowing XD

Mermaids are sometimes spotted off the south western shores of the Earth continent. The nations of these regions knew them to be very real, and many snow elf kingdoms established trade routes and military alliances with them. Mermaids make excellent pirates. However, this changed when the Decepticons began their invasion of the Southern Realms. This was known as the Scorching, and it all but drove the snow elves to extinction. The mermaids retreated from the shallow waters of the coastline. They are rarely seen today. Some sailors say they have a great city deep in the ocean depths, where they remain hidden from the Decepticons.

Trolls are a well-known race, and are often seen working alongside orcs and goblins. Aside from the mythical Giants, Trolls are physically the strongest of the organic races. Their large and imposing physique leans them towards bodyguard positions. But this is no hard rule. However, their strength comes at a cost. Besides humans, Trolls are the least magical of the organic races.

Centaurs are also well known. Their birth lands are a great plateau north of the Sun mountains, though still within the Middle Realms. Today one can find centaurs all over Earth, though they are not as common as humans, elves, dwarves, or orcs. Centaurs are the fastest non-flying organics. They are invaluable as calvary units.

The harpies are a rarer race. Their homelands in the Ruby mountains were destroyed during the Scorching. However, their wings allowed a large portion of the population to escape north. Today most Harpies can be found in large nomadic flocks, looking for a new home. No nation has allowed the flock to stay in their lands for long. They are viewed as a drain on resources. Some have even tried to attack the flocks, though they quickly regretted this aggression. Even weakened, the harpies are no pushovers. Today the largest of the flocks roams somewhere north west of the Sun mountains.

The Giants are myth and legend to the Middle and Southern Realms. But in the Northern Realms, they are very real. The ruling power of the north, the Federation, was specifically formed to fight back giant invasions. Giants are the most northern of the organic races. Their homelands are amongst the frozen wastes at the tail end of the Spine mountain range, just south of the polar ice cap. An aggressive race, not much is known about them besides their battle tactics and near other worldly strength. Even a vehicon would struggle to take down a giant one on one. Attempts to learn more about this race are usually met with failure. Between the frigid temperatures and the giants' nasty habit of eating people, northern explorers rarely return.

The Ents are often documented in literature and old oral legends, but little remains of them today. They were slow to reproduce and slower to grow, ancient wars with the wood elves took their toll and ent populations dwindled. Today they are believed extinct. Though rumours of ent sightings persist in the thick Cloud rainforest of the Middle Realms. Though these sightings are only the words of far flung travelers, and can be safely ignored.

The Griffins were never a common race. Even when the world was young. They lived on a scattered archipelago to the west of the Earth continent. Griffin rock is one of these islands. Centuries ago, an unknown calamity struck the Griffins. Their homes were left empty and untouched. No signs of a struggle were ever found. Other races moved to claim the empty islands, for example the Dwarven kingdom of the Jade mountains. Today, no one has seen a Griffin in centuries. Only the elves remember what they looked like.

This is a short introduction to the less common races of Earth. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs outnumber each one by a significant margin. The history between these peoples are vast, full of war, trade, alliances, kindness, and staggering cruelty. Many fall into the stereotypes of their kind, and many do not. Each race is a note, and only together can one hear the song of Earth.

And every last one will fall silent, if the Decepticons are not stopped.

Yes!! (So happy about this ask actually!!)

Leo: since Leo is a quarter dragon, he has smaller horns, smaller wings, a longer tail than a normal half-dragon would have! There aren’t many quarter-dragons because half-dragons mostly see them as “doomed�� (Having smaller wings, making it unable for them to fly, and a longer tail which would case more disruption instead of stabilization while flying, less control over fire, and smaller horns!) Other features he has just includes the normal non-human things!! (Sharper nails, slotted pupils, sharp teeth.) Half-dragons grow larger than normal humans, usually much larger, as quarter-dragons usually grow just the same or a little bit smaller!

Annabeth: Since Annabeth has owl features, she has wings, larger eyes with yellow sclera, and I do think it’d be cool if she had feathers here and there like on her neck!! (Think something like chimera Falin if you know the character!!) I think Annabeth would also have naturally sharper nails, and maybe fangs too (to resemble a beak and bird claws!) Abilities that an average person with owl features can do is fly, see better, and have better hearing! (And I personally think her being able to turn her head to an absurd amount would be hilarious too!)

Percy: Percy’s species might be the most well developed one (next to Leo’s! I have favorites IM SORRY!!) But basically Percy being a nymph siren means that he’s basically like more modern versions of sirens now that are more mermaid like! I recently made a post going more into Nymph Sirens if you want to read here! (I like to think Percy and other Nymph sirens would also have a few feathers growing in their hair as a reference to the original Greek sirens!)

theres a curse over gravity falls (started in the water, ended up in the air and contained by the weirdness barrier) that, over the course of two weeks, makes people develop wings (and tail, snd the extra birdy bits but those usually wait till the tail end of that bc it’d be harder to reverse something like special eyes if you leave the falls early) that burst out (though, bc it’s less painful, they’re typically cut out by a flockmate)!!!

it mostly varies in regards to birdiness btw— sometimes it’s the base (wings, tail, muffs+plumicorns, maaaybe some fuckery with the eyes), sometimes they have bird heads/legs, sometimes they end up just anthro birds!!

and YES ford is SO DISHEVELED WHEN STAN GETS THERE….. like to the point that retracting his wings is painful so he just . doesnt. ‘hey ford why do you have wings’ ‘something thet happens when you have prolonged exposure to gravity falls— moving on’

Deimos

don't mind that his tail is clipping through the fabric. there is literally nothing I can do about that other than take the clothing thing away.

Mostly in part to being partially a snake, this version of Deimos doesn't really neeeeed to wear clothes, but he likes the look of them. Also they're just nice and soft

While there is a familiar-looking blue in his wings and horns, it's not that blue, because he's not related to Gonzalo and Petruccio's warlock bullshit.

He can fly, but his snake body obeys the laws of gravity normally, so he has to go real fast unless he wants to just be dangling in the air. Usually it's much easier for him to deal with small terrestrial enemies on the ground. He can use magic to attack, but he's got those wicked claws so he might as well use them, right?

I tried to make the whole thing with Astra (and by extension, Deimos) being a little bit Glowy more apparent here. and i think it worked, more or less. Not quite the way I would've liked it to, but still works.

Phobos

i took some of the pictures before finalizing the pose/face because i got over excited to share some of the really cool shit

look i don't know WHAT he's supposed to be. but he's a demon, and it'd be pretty boring to make all the demons look the same, so i figured i might as well get weird with it. Apparently that meant bird feet, frog hands, fuzzy ears, funky eyes, tiger stripes, and three 'alien' tails* with stingers

*technically only one of them is a tail. the other two act more like the basic corrupt tentacles, aside from him having complete and perfect control over them.

as i said. idk what's happening. but look at him. he's so cool........he looks so out-of-place in the bright 'environment' of the background. He looks like everything around him should be way darker. and i fucking love him

i love how his eyes seem to match the mark on his face perfectly. i love how freaky the 'tails' are with them being partly skin-toned (more-or-less). i love how his glowing magic can either Pop(TM) or be a lil more subtle depending on where I put it (Spearhead vs. stripes)

He's much faster than he looks, and those stingers aren't just for stabbing. I haven't decided what kind of poison he has, though; or whether or not it's lethal. He can also use his claws to fight, but he prefers his spear most of the time.

He can grab onto almost anything with those feetsies of his; they've probably found him hanging from a tree or the rafters from his feet like a big fucked up bat.

So. Deimos is probably bound to Gonazlo, and Phobos to Petruccio. the jetsidian and jadark brainrot is inescapable.

And I'm thinking that perhaps there is some incomprehensible outer god they're doing stuff for, but due to being more involved with the races of the planet our unhinged little blorbos live on, they're much less unintentionally dangerous. and I'm thinking that the stuff they're doing is still putting on grand theater productions for their entertainment and the entertainment of the other mortals.

Or in short: Cthulhu (not literally cthulhu) is bored and is very curious about the plays mortals can write and put on

Wings of Fire (kind of) au I was thinking of setting this around the time the 1st series is happening and lots of political changes are happening. I'm not sure where to start explaining so Skywings Grian is banished (!) from the skywings for defying the monarchy False is a skywing guard Tango is a skywing and in my heart he should have flamescales but he only gets them on the full moon (even during the day) Cleo is a skywing/seawing hybrid kept in the gladiator arena, and escapes in the Great Prison Escape (work with me here) Nightwings Pearl is a nightwing who was freed from the arena shortly after Grian left Xisuma is heavily scarred (in my notes it says from fights(??)), and escapes the volcano island onto the mainland Evil Xisuma is an albino nightwing who is a merchant in the scorpion den Sandwings Impulse is a sandwing Wels is also a sandwing Mudwings Ren is a mudwing Iskall is a mudwing/rainwing hybrid, and lost an eye in a fight (in my notes Iskall is exiled??) Keralis is probably a mudwing. back me up here pls Scar is a mudwing/rainwing hybrid but was raised in icewing territory. he lived on the outskirts in an outpost close to the border of sandwing territory, and was used as a training dragonet for soldiers out there. Cub eventually helped him escape, and he adopts the name Scar. During his time at the icewing outpost his scales were light greens and browns near white, but his form, tail, horns, and lack of serrated claws gave away his true nature. As he lives alone, he regains color (except for the scars) and becomes more brown with green, almost like oxidized copper accents. season 8 cough cough Icewings Cub is an icewing who is shipped out to the worst outpost after getting sorted there (fandom wiki got me there). he helps Scar escape and shortly after decides nah i don't wanna be here and gtfo's Etho is an icewing who gets taken prisoner after a skirmish on the border between his team and some sandwings goes poorly. he's sold into the gladiator arena where he befriends Cleo, but both lose each other in the escaping chaos. He runs to the rainwings territory, narrowly avoiding skywings, and meets Bdubs. hehe Rainwings Bdubs is a rainwing whos scales are usually moss greens and dark greens like shadows. It's giving glare. He travels to the edges of the territory and is interested in communication between different tribes and cultures. He also builds for the rainwings, and has popularized coffee beans. Joe Hills is a rainwing. Their coat is often many different colors, and writes poetry for other dragons Doc is a rainwing who experiments heavily with minerals from caves, a tinkerer of sorts. He lost his eye, but it doesn't hinder his work. He is reluctant to work with any dragons, but is still somewhat social Silkwings Mumbo Jumbo was blown off course from a raft he built and has lived in the skywing territory in the caves for many years. Despite many attempts, he has never been able to get back to the other continent. He meets Grian, and when Grian is banished he lives with Mumbo for some time. I missed quite a few folks because i don't feel qualified to give them dragon types. And.. that's all I've got so far, for the most part. I do have like some very minor stuff written, like Scar grows up with Icewings Polarfang and Vindictive, mostly because I needed stand ins. Originally the alliances would be season 8, but I think they could move somewhere. Look, I just draw dragon and they look cool. I did not think this out much. I also imagine Etho has to run and not fly because of the wing cuffs we see in the books, but I thought an updated muzzle looked a bit more menacing. I just feel like having a toothless scene were bdubs stumbles across pure carnage and then a sparkling white dragon is a fun setup. You see my vision. Anyway thanks for reading these rambles. Not my middle-aged sons.

I have nineteen Stone variants now, but I mean I guess I had nineteen variants before I realized this "Felon!Stone" was not actually Felon!Stone. I'm calling him Devil!Stone because he was a prince of hell (while Bharat is his birth father, Bharat did give up Stone to Lucifer for sanctuary in hell when he and Aarna fell from heaven. No idea what happened to Saira though, except she was/is an angel) and then he killed his adoptive father (Lucifer) for the throne.

Anyways, I forgot to say that his eyes are red and like the pupils are like slitted pupils like cats have. The new facial scar (or scars I guess) are from his mouth being stitched up and he then took out the stitchings. No, he's not telling me why his mouth was stitched up for a period of time nor who did it.

He has very long horns that curl outwards and upwards. So basically I guess what we usually think when demon horns but longer. In his universe, demons' barbed tails are the same color as their hair (which imagine the tails of blonde demons) so Devil!Stone's is black like his hair. And it's not like it's completely smooth until you get to the barbed tip, it's barbed all over if that makes sense.

Devil!Stone is telling me that hidden beneath his shirt is like the base of his wings but there's no longer wings (he had wings because both of his parents were angels ((or in Bharat's case now fallen angel))) there because around the same time that his mouth stitched up, someone cut off his wings and so just like the base of the wings are there like a scarred closed wound. If that makes sense.

Oh, also one other thing that wasn't mentioned last ask, he's as tall as Yonuthia!Stone (which should be seven-feet-eight if my memory's correct).

Don't worry, Sylvester, Devil!Stone's not here to kill you. He just wanted to create chaos and also experience what it was like to have a normal life. (Cool, could you bring Canon/Girl Dad!Stone back to the ranch AU, Devil!Stone?)

I actually haven't considered the redstone being alive! But there a lot of gaps in the outline (specifically when it comes to the xornorth arc chapters) so there's a chance I could work it in there somewhere.
