actually happy with how these are turning out, like ive been putting my clans off for MONTHS and now im finally about finished. guess that avatar 3 trailer got me feelin some type of way 👀

anyway, imunko! also known as the river clan, as they reside along a winding river bordered by cypress trees that actually neighbors the jedaka's marshland

these lot look like a cross between a fish and a zebra, with two kinds of stripes in three different colors

they take after the jedaka with their aggression, being incredibly territorial and easy to agitate. they don't wear clothes, they don't find a need for them, as they spend a majority of their time in the water or sleeping in the mud. they dont use any weapons or tools either

their nails and teeth are naturally pointed, unlike the jedaka who file them to be sharp, they have webbed hands and feet, and they have powerful tails like the gartuyam they not only use to swim but to bash the shit out of the opposition, be that another animal or a fellow clan member

they are merciless carnivores that hunt in numbers like piranhas and eat their meat raw, bones included. they can taste blood in the water and can chase prey for quite a distance. they're not cannibals, in the sense they'll eat other na'vi, but they will definitely still rip one apart without any remorse

imunko do worship eywa, but not the gentle version the omatikaya do. they envision her as a wrathful goddess that gives one the strength to kill, though with respect for the hunt, and if need be, to murder one's enemies into extinction. the james king version ig 💀

women lead most roles in the community, hunting parties aside, and the imunko clan itself is headed by a chieftess. they also tend to own harems of men. the women pick them based on how well they hunt, but single men will bring the women gifts in the form of food in order to win her favor if they're not picked but still interested

their tree of souls is a mother cypress who's roots are the source of connection. it is heavily guarded so that no other na'vi, human, or animal gets anywhere near it

and just to give you a little more context on how dangerous the imunko actually are, not even jedaka fuck with them. you know, the one clan that ENJOYS attacking others?? that's your warning to stay far away from them!

they have one, but i didn't give the male a peanits because that'd probably get me banned

the other PREVIOUS new clan, kokonahu!

now these funny lil guys are crazy for coconuts! they make jewelry with them, medicine, paint, clothes, food, instruments, utensils, tools, huts, and so on

they live on an isolated island in the middle of the sea where not even the metkayina can reach. they have no neighbors and no contact with ANYONE else, which has made them quite looney

they dont speak the native language at all (or understand it), and they worship a great palm tree in the center of the island. every night they make a big circle and dance around a pile of coconuts to thank the spirits. kokonahu themselves look like palm trees with their natural camoflauge. they can also hang from trees using their tails like a third arm

while harvesting the coconut or the palm leaves, they take great care to not harm the tree. like the coconuts, the palms are sacred and well cared for, with shrines built around the biggest ones with painted rocks to signify their importance

they live among tropical birds and large reptiles, some of which have been trained to fetch resources for them. it's not uncommon to see a kokonahu surrounded by or covered in animals, as they like to feed them

although they can be loud and excitable, kokonahu are about the friendliest clan youll probably ever meet. they use throwing spears and knives for the harvest and to fish. give them coconuts as a peace offering and you'll be welcomed into the clan like family

the great palm is their tree of souls (it really is huge, like the size of a mountain). kokonahu can't swim well and although they aren't necessarily afraid of the sea, they tend to avoid it unless fishing from the shore or tending to the coconut farms (they sprout them in water)

by the way, they dont really have an understanding of personal space. community is strong with this clan so they enjoy being close

i use autodesk sketchbook! and yes, i use my finger. i CANNOT use a stylus, even on a tablet. i have to FEEL the lines.. idk, its like a hand-eye coordination thing, cant really explain it, but i suck with styluses

edit: im also left handed, which makes using a stylus, in any case, horrid

this is funny as hell but i like the hivemind theory

maybe its a more evolved hivemind too

not like ants or bees where its "work work work, eat, mate, lay eggs, die"

an evolved hivemind would be that everyone is subconsciously connected but still free to live in themselves and do whatever they want (er. have their own identity)

not everyone is in agreeance with the hivemind because of that though, like the ash clan, and abandon it for a power they can call their own (rather than be dependent on the hivemind)

it also could just be out of our realm of understanding, lmao

after all, we didnt really care that the connections the natives shared with their world were damn near sentient compared to ours. we just wanted them pretty rocks

been wondering if na'vi could connect to a tree on earth 🤔

obviously earth isnt nearly as "alive" as pandora and you could argue nothing would happen because "vastly different biospheres" but i call bs because of the scene where they attempted to save dr. augustine

pandora literally connected to her from the nape of her neck (cerebral cortex basically) and uploaded her to the na'vi matrix. that scene also made me wonder if na'vi could lock into a human the same way, but one thing at a time!!!!

if humans can passively connect to pandora without a braid, its worth considering that na'vi could do the same on earth, riiiiight?

i think at the very least they'd probably hear the earth's electromagnetic pulse. and in an extreme scenario, be transported to some place where every animal and every person that ever died is still alive as a memory based in the energy they left behind.... like pandora but since earth is less conscious itd be more like a dream where you're looking in but you cant interact with them and they cant see you

or, yeah, maybe nothing would happen at all. that'd be boring as hell, but i hope in the next 20 or whatever sequels, they touch on that, lmao

i know it was brought up that neytiri would see earth one day. no idea how they're gonna do that, unless they go reverse avatar and make human bodies for the na'vi who wanna switch teams, which would be INSANE. the whole recombinant thing is already creepy as hell (whoever greenlit that shit was truly brilliant but is also demented af 💀)

i also wonder how they'd breed those reverse avatars

for humans to have an avatar, it has to be half and half

so would they just less native DNA to keep it human? i imagine too much would result in a human who's still blue and ten feet tall 😂
