#no bc listen#switch turns it on.#hard cover or soft cover#hard cover is a higher temperature#you open up the book where the binding is split#cut a strip of glue (picture like a ruler but it’s hot glue and theyre all in a box)#and you get it fit in there properly#close the book and put it spine down between the two metal thingies#and you basically gotta push the one metal thing so it’s all secure#wait a little while the glue bakes listen for the beep#take the book out mess around with the way the book closes and the way the glue distributes while it’s still hot#and if you got it right you can put a new plastic cover over the book jacket get it all set up and send it back into circulation ❤️❤️❤️#im telling you book repair is sensory heavennnn#like ok the thing is 800something and i only have the experience bc like. library work lmao#but it’s soooo good and rewarding#dont trust any popular modern fantasy novel author though#maybe theyre not personally responsible but those books are bound like SHIT#at least with ** ******* books not being able to fix them/making them lowkey worse is like. direct action
