unpopular opinion ahead

the more I watch Lockwood and co the more I realize how inaccurate it is. Before y’all blow me to bits let me explain 1. Lucy is SO annoying and weak, she looks like she’s going to have a meltdown every time she sees a single ghost, and she’s so terrified of skull (book lucy didn’t let it affect her and she literally said she won’t let it ruin her day B1 P380). They did her so dirty 2. George is supposed to LOVE going to the archives, instead they made it look like he’s got the short end of the stick and he has to go just because SOMEBODY has to 3. They made it look like barnes hates Lockwood and co and only likes fittes, for example, giving them the Bickerstaff case and l&co having to argue to get HALF of it 4. Skull is so annoying, besides him not being funny he’s begging her to let him free every 0.1 seconds 5. Attempted love triangle with Kipps; if we get renewed and they try to make this an actual thing I’m going to punch someone 6. Lockwood is just a depressed boy. They make it seem like all he cares about is trying to make l&co #1 they also make him an idiot (book Lockwood recognized the knife that killed jack carver not George, he new that Fairfax was the murderer so he sent a letter to deprac) 7. Leopold is a shy little baby, he’s supposed to be mad annoying.

y’all are probably fuming, but that’s why it’s called an UNPOPULAR opinion

bonus: I asked my sister (who has never read the books) what she thought of the show, she said she only watched it because of me and she thought the characters were annoying (seeing all of you guys who have only watched the show and love it is honestly shocking but hey if it means we get renewed I’m all for it)

my personal rating of the show overall is 5/10

for book accuracy it gets a 5/10 (possibly even a 4)

for enjoyment, honestly I only enjoyed it the first time around, the more I watched it the more annoying it got 6/10

despite everything I still enjoyed it and I love the cast so much. I only gave a vague description for my reasons cause otherwise this would be too long. If you’d like I could tell you guys all the reasons I did like it (yes I know, shocking)

I have a theory I made of the qsmp I don’t know if anyone will care or even know this happened but I really wanted to share it! Please don’t send me harassment or hate even if you think my theory is wrong, words hurt guys :,)

Start of theory:

So when the qsmp first started, there was a moment where Spreen and quackity attacked roier killing him and getting him all fucked up

It was called the betrayal.

Spreen had previously talked to demon rubius who had influenced him in ways… I think rubius possessed Spreen and got quackity to help betray roier and basically I think he made Spreen his puppet which is why he went missing to get cigarettes and such, I think Spreen was killed after he was no use to demon rubius or he was upset he wasn’t able to canonly kill roier

No one knows that Spreen was possessed or taken over so everyone thinks he was a terrible guy (btw he’s actually really nice irl so no hate to him irl he’s not his character) when he was actually possessed.

There’s a possibility that he may of been tricked or made some deal with demon rubius causing him to lose his right to his soul and body and demon rubius may of wanted roier dead for a reason, whether we know the reason or not I think roier has a past that causes demon rubius to want him killed so he used Spreen to murder him (quackity was there maybe because he was secretly elquackuru or was possessed to who knows im not sure why he want killed but maybe it’s because demon rubius knew el quackity could)

Maybe demon rubius sent el quackity to kill the real quackity

I think rubius has a lot to play in the role of the qsmp lore we don’t know of

I think there’s so much potential to these characters even if the theory isn’t true it would be a really cool au if it is a false theory :3

There were TWO APOCALYPSES ACTUALLY!! Yes indeed, you heard right; the 1962 nuclear exchange AND the 1962 yellowstone supervolcano eruption that Lupe Altena managed to kiiiind of stop from happening. Then Martians invaded in the 80s and basically went “damn bitch you live like this???” to humanity and colonized earth with the goal of 'wildlife management'. You cant just let your new food source kill itself off through dumb decisions!! Thatd be very…counterproductive lol

but i suppose Gabriel's Arrow was also considered an apocalyptic event of sorts? when theres a global outbreak of superpowers that affected 40% of the population (800,000,000 people YEESH), there was significant societal upheaval for a solid decade or so, with the cold war on top of everything..i think it'd depend on the historian! and trust me the history textbook no the 20th century in SE is 30 pounds and historians are required to undergo annual psychological evaluations :D a LOT happened in a century or so

that is correct! she is a chimera, and one that is half human half martian (with really weird abilities that other chimeras don’t have have hm 🤔). and yes she is EXTREMELY angry becuz her entire life has been absolute shit- she isn’t seen as a person but a weapon and a monster instead, so she doesnt really know how to act like a kid! she also has severe PTSD, possible BPD, anger issues, a bit of sociopathy, SELF INFLICTED AMNESIA, and a plethora of other things going on. every adult in her life has failed her, none more so than her aunt/adoptive ‘parent’ FRIDAY…but that shall be explored more in the story unless u want more info on that

francis was raised (for most of her life) by a human, so she’s 15 years old physiologically and mentally. her twin oz, raised by martians, is 30 years old physiologically despite them both coming from the same egg :D

the south east has been lost to a virulent strain of parasitic KUDZU as well as feral Martians and feral DINOSAURS. yes, we brought em back. yes, you can have them as pets (for a cooool 5$ million). so nobody goes there unless like, you’re going on a safari hunt or something. people live there but they’re extremely isolated and kinda dangerous

the northeast-mid atlantic is all that’s left of “The United States of America” and it’s a corporate police state that’s under constant martial law thats under the rule of a president grown in a lab in the middle of nowhere…who is ALSO under supervision of two major foreign powers. except for NECROPOLIS WOOOO

Necropolis (the N.E.C or ‘The Nec(k)”) is the main setting for Arc 1, and is a GIGANTIC CITY made out of alien “living metal” and other Martian bullshit technology that combines all of the entire New York tri-state metropolitan area. Theres MARTIANS, MUTANTS, ADP MONSTERS!! And ofc, chimera :D so how does everyone manage to not kill each other?? the giant UFO thats constantly hovering over the city, and govt funded/backed 'superheroes'

my other chick’s name is Adonis Blue, and she was an extremely sheltered child before she set her house on fire to escape her mom 😔. she was born out of my love and adoration for Miles, and was childhood friends with him, Phoenix and Larry until he (Miles) moved away. she talked to Larry and Phoenix often from inside of her yard (her mother was overly controlling and wouldn’t let her leave), and then started sending letters to them. she still writes letters to Phoenix, but stopped sending ‘em to Edgey when she realized he probably would never reply 😔.

like i mentioned above, Adonis set her house on fire and faked her death so she could get away from her mom, all at the age of 23 :). Dola was accused by Adonis’s mom for starting the fire and murdering adonis, so Dola went to Phoenix to ask him to be her attorney (Adonis had mentioned to her that Phoenix wanted to be a defense attorney so that’s how Dola knew) because uh, YEAH there was a trial. Adonis was always pretty nice to Edgeworth so i’d imagine he’d be 1) pretty upset that one of the few kind people in his life "died” and 2) angry because Dola “killed” Adonis. big yikes. i don’t have the whole trial planned out but it would be a big one, and eventually they would discover that Adonis actually planned out everything (Dola was merely an accomplice) Adonis actually revealed herself to Phoenix on the second day’s investigation and testified on the third day’s trial. Adonis was charged with arson and, according to Google, that means prison time :(((. Phoenix or Edgeworth (idk who) managed to sway the final decision and she just did community service for a looong time, which is cool.

but, as a more personal consequence to her actions, Adonis became fascinated with fire and likes setting stuff on fire. oh, and she’s also a kindergarten teacher :))).

Adonis wasn’t allowed to watch tv, play videogames or do any of that in her household because her mother didn’t want anything to inspire her to escape. this means she barely knows anything about pop culture 😔😔😔. this!! this is why i think she’d be great friends with Maya, actually. Maya can flex all her pop culture knowledge on Adonis and teach her about all these cool shows and food joints, it’s really sweet :D. Adonis is Maya’s girl best friend ;D.

i kinda wanted to be clever with Adonis’s name like i was with Dola’s, so Adonis Blue is actually the name of a butterfly uwu. Adonis likes butterflies!
