What are the books you didn't like?

ahaha this is sooo funny because i was thinking about it and the thing about my taste in books is that i like most books, but i do dislike a reasonable amount of books. but the thing that makes me remember a book forever as the worst ever??? is when it is REALLY GOOD and then i hate the ending. so here are a few of the books i will never ever forgive (yes with spoilers, sorry lol):

the gideon trilogy by linda buckley-archer: this series is about some kids who accidentally time travel back to 1763 and end up on the run from "the tar man" with this dude named gideon. AMAZING series, so intriguing and sooo much fun, until the ENDING RUINED IT. if you set up your world and say that you can't erase time (i.e. you CAN'T go back in time and change the past, as this creates fractured timelines ans very bad things happen, which does in fact happen in the book) and then the ending of the series is that instead of solving any of their problems they go back in time and stop themselves from traveling in time in the first place?? WORST ENDING OF ALL TIME hated it soooo much. i swear i read this book like 10 years ago but every single time someone mentions time travel all my friends and family know im about to go on a rant

the fault in our stars by john green: sorry john green. this book was soooo good and soooo cute and the romance was adorable and it made me cry like twice, but i have the pettiest beef with the ending that means i will never be able to enjoy this book 😭😭 so the main character hazel is reading this book called An Imperial Affliction where this empress (i think??) is dying and it ends in the middle of a sentence, as though she died before she could finish writing the book. very cool! so yk the ending of the ACTUAL book happens and its kinda cheesy but i was willing to look past it for the vibes, but i was fully expecting this little detail to be added. and it wasn't. why john green ???? this is 100% the most petty reason i have ever hated a book but i genuinely feel like the book would have been 100000x better if it had ended in the middle of a sentence. also i will never forgive john green for naming a character augustus, the most gorgeous name, and then having him be called gus 😭😭😭

little fires everywhere by celeste ng: this book was actually also amazing... some of the most beautiful explorations of motherhood ive ever read, and i ugly cried in public TWICE because of this book (there is a line where a mother is talking about her baby and she says "i would know her in the dark by one sound of her voice, one brush of her hand, the smell of her hair" and that made me LOSE IT) . but the ending completely destroyed it... the whole book is about the complicated relationships between mothers and daughters and how those relationships are so strong and beautiful and then?? the ending???? is that a 14 YEAR OLD GIRL runs away from home with no contact with her mother because she wants to chase another woman who she loves better and wishes was her mother ??? literally completely destroyed the spirit of the book for me

clean getaway by nic stone: this book was super cool, its a mystery about this guy trying to figure out his grandmothers secrets. she basically takes her grandson on a mystery surprise roadtrip but he can tell she's running from something so he's trying to figure out what she's running from. verrryyy interesting talk about race, very cool and intriguing plots... and then the ending ???? they reveal that the grandma is a straight up criminal who escaped the law until the day she died? like she isn't even a redeemable criminal, she's actually a BAD GUY and they play off her getting away from the law as a good thing?? hated it!! she was a bad person!!!! and also she totally kidnapped her grandson!!! and like, framed a guy who went to prison because of her???? like she just did a bunch of really bad things but the talk about institutionalized racism was supposed to rule that out or something. idk i have read reeeally good book about institutionalized racism and the american justice system that worked because the main character wasn't an actual terrible person who hurt a lot of people with her crimes. hated this book

My best AUs are for Philinda lol. My favourite is Committed to the Cause, a POTUS/USSS one with Coulson as the president and May as his head of security.

If you write chaptered fics, what’s your ideal chapter length to write? Is it different from your ideal chapter length to read?

My ideal chapter length to write is 4–7k, which is also about my ideal chapter length to read. Maybe my reading ideal is on the shorter end, so more like 3–5k, but gfhjsgdhs that’s not too big a difference.

Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”

There are a few that come to mind. The main ones are literally anything by @indilwenofmirkwood (but especially What Makes Her Tick, which can be read here on AO3 and here on FFN) and Kismet by @midnightlovestories (can be read here on AO3) for how they developed plot/romance, analysed my comfort character, and got some whumpy goodness snuck in there. The former is for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. while the latter is for The Addams Family.

Feel for You by @parksanddownton603 (can be read here on AO3) made me fall in love with a specific tone of AU and gave me the motivation to try my hand at writing an AU like they did (also for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). On the flipside, Defensive Wounds by @rebecca-in-blue (can be read here on FFN) is an in-universe fic but I greatly admire the characterisation in it and would love to know and honour my blorbos as well as they do. It’s for NCIS.

Another one for the Addamses, Human by @unhappychildhavingfun (can be read here on AO3) packs the kind of emotional, meaningful punch that I want my writing to throw. Though I also aspire to churn out numerous one-shots that just put my guys in situations the way @suallenparker does (if I must name particulars, the ones that affect me the most in this way have been Bulletproof, Lifeline, Safe and Sound, Liar, Mayism, Second Chances, and Being Someone Else, all for Philinda hfjsgdhhd).

And can’t play dead by @widespindriftgaze (can be read here on AO3) is…simply some of the best creative writing I’ve ever read. I love how they dabble in various, sometimes small/short-lived fandoms; I long to do that.

I am currently working (well, focusing) on A Galling Yoke, my Sherlock Holmes x Reader exes-/friends-to-lovers casefic. (It was actually supposed to be enemies-to-lovers lolol.) I’m like a third or so into Part 12, and I’ve got like seventeen chapters planned total plus an epilogue. Exciting stuff!!

You straightened in your seat, shoulders tensing. Sherlock groaned and dragged a hand down his face.

“I meant not to be…domineering,” he said. “But […] am I not to assume that you came here…for a reason?”

He and you looked at each other for a long, open moment.

I grabbed that out of the middle of a conversation for Maximum Suspense. I cut out […] because what I have written there currently is a bit of a placeholder. There was another part I wanted to share because it’s got a long quote from Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton”, but I figured that excerpt was a tad too spoilery. I’m sure you guys will prefer this romantic tension anyway. ;P

dion almost bitterly pointing out that even if ford was the root cause, it was still her parents who actually and actively hurt her. it was still their actions, driven by their fear, that lead to her isolation. yeah, ford is partly to blame—but they're not free of the blame, either

dion pushing them away for a bit, only to fold so quickly, because no matter how much it hurts all dion ever wanted was for mom and dad to love him again... and now here they are. and dion finally isnt so alone anymore.

dion only yells at them when the little ones arent around, though. she doesnt want to scare them. theyre just kids. just like he was.

dona might beg for forgiveness, plead with her baby, shes so sorry, she was just so scared. dion replies "so the fuck was i! i was a child! your child!" dona promises to make it right somehow... dion doesnt know whether to trust her. but dion wants to, so badly. she cant make it right, she cant undo whats been done. but she can do everything in her power to be a better mother now.

augustus says it straight up: you may never forgive me, and i wont hold it against you if you dont. im sorry for allowing that fear, my fear, to take away the father you deserved. ive failed you, dion, and i will forever regret it. i was so worried about protecting us from the curse, i lost sight of who i was fighting for. what was done cannot be undone... but, if you will, please, let me try to make it up to you now.

Please tell me about your Psychonauts and Barbie Princess Charm School AU, Im obsessed with the Barbie movies

Hi there, and sorry for taking so long to answer your ask! Let's say it made me way too excited (I even started a drawing related to it that was actually supposed to be posted here... if I had finished it. Which I didn't 👀), and I had to review all the grammar and... well, now I'm desperately in need of a distraction, so I finally managed to do what I was supposed to do. In other words: be prepared for an enormous text! 😅

Basically, the beginning of this AU would happen almost like the movie's begging. The Aquatos would work for a travelling carnival as artists - and Mirtala, being the princess-obsessed child I headcannon her to be, of course would have entered Frazie (as Mirtala herself was still too young to participate) in the yearly Royal Princess Academy raffl. Multiple times. During the whole year.

Rightly before the next school year begins, the raffle's results would finally be announced. She turns the family's radio on... and what a surprise! Her insistence wasn't in vain, Frazie was the lucky winner of the season!

The thing is... again, just like in the movie, Mirtala hasn't really told anyone about it. So when Frazie hears her little sis screaming out of joy - when Mirtala finally explains what the hell was happening - she's pretty much in denial. She was a poor circus girl, not a princess. She already had her own duties, her own work... aunt Lucy was sick, and the Aquatos couldn't afford her medicine. They truly needed to work.

Amidst the chaos that such revelation caused (Dion and Queepie definitely had more fun they they should), a security guard sent by the Academy arrives in a limo, claiming that Frazie should get into it immediately. Their way to the Academy would be long, and she still had to be properly introduced and assigned to a bedroom. That's when Frazie freaks out - but Donatella and Augustus encourage her to go. It was a big opportunity, and it would be a great help for their family... even though Mirtala should have told them all about it waaay sooner.

That stated, Frazie gets her belongings (the carnival they worked for was moving again, so she had everything already packed up) and gets in the limo, immediately feeling so amazed - yet so scared - with all of those led lights, drinks, snacks and overall luxury now all around her. There was even a tv! Too bad she ends up sleeping during most of the way.

Arriving at the Academy, the coordinator Hollis - not the most friendly person out there... specially when the new students were balancing expensive decorations in the main hallway - was the responsible for showing Frazie both the old and new parts of the building, and to also show her where her locker already full of school supplies was. It was the prettiest building she had ever seen! Specially her dorm.

Her roommates? Gisu Neruman, a royal lady from a rich asian family, and Lizzie, the youngest daughter of the most prestigious European king, were also pretty cool. They weren't snobbish like Frazie expected them to be. They showed her which bed was her's (even though they all would sleep together on the first nights), and also where her new wardrobe was, storing her new school uniform and her new balling dress. You know... for the ballroom dance classes! However, during such fun chit chat, an anounce is made: they were supposed to be in the courtyard for the official new year greetings in a couple of minutes!

Needles to say that going there is what they do, after quickly changing into their uniforms. So yeah... they arrive a little late and not so tidy as preferred. But who cared? After all, they arrived soon enough to hear principal Truman and coordinator Hollis' speeches - but also to hear more coming form her, the raffle's results advertiser: Norma Natividad. Lizzie's pedantic, arrogant older sister, heir to their familiy's throne. The best and most esteemed student in the Royal Princess Academy. Which was soon made very clear, not only because Gisu and Lizzie told Frazie every crap about Norma, but also because, as soon as everyone received their own training crowns, while standing up for a quick welcoming ceremony (aka that weird ass greeting they do in the movie), Norma herself said that Frazie's place wasn't there.

And it was said in such a condescending way that it drew the attention of the principal's daughter, the little but strong headed Lili Zanotto. Frazie's biggest ally, from that moment on.

Norma was determined to make Frazie's life a living nightmare. She would humiliate and sabotage her - as Frazie wasn't elegant, nor she had a good sense of etiquette or a strong formal education - all the time: in Sasha's science classes (imost of Frazie's scientifical knowledge came from the ""facts"" Queepie would read in kid's magazines), Oleander etiquette classes, Milla's balancing classes, Hollis dancing classes... and oh boy, about when Mirtala decided to simply appear in the Academy along Raz and Queepie! She didn't even knew they were in the city! Lili caught them sneaking around the building. What she did with such info? She befriending them, and so used their help to prank Norma in every imaginable way (the tablecloth prank shown in the movie being one of them).

Gisu and Lizzie would tell Frazie that Norma was nothing more than a jerk, that she could learn how to be the finest royal Lady if she wanted. They knew Frazie was struggling, and they truly wished to see her succeed (just like in the movie, the Aquatos send her a box full of things. Mostly snacks, because Donatella definitely is the kind of mother who thinks that her children are starving when they're actually fine). But Frazie wasn't so sure about these things anymore. She felt like a freak. She felt that she should just give up, go back home and do something she was actually good at. Which almost happened indeed.

Hollis recommended Frazie's expulsion to Truman - and Lili heard it all, more determined than ever to secretly help her friend. Secretly because Frazie hated when people felt sorry for her... so Lili had to help her in a way she wouldn't notice as such. That's why Lili decided to train Frazie herself, with their teacher's help: everyday after dinner, they would teach her something new, or how to do things she was already great in a gentler way. Frazie had character and self confidence! She just needed to trust herself, and to never let anyone depreciate her ever again.

Everything started to change when the long waited balling dance class among the young men from the Royal Prince Academy day finally arrived. While Lizzie danced with the future royal advisor Morris, and Gisu danced with their enthusiastic teacher Helmut Fullbear, Prince Adam completely ignored Norma... because he was just so mesmerized by Frazie. They danced together the whole time, which was unacceptable, according to Norma's beliefs.

She had to be more extreme in her actions... Frazie wasn't intimidated by her anymore. So that's why, some time later, when another special class day arrived, the traditional one set in Princess' Sam family, Norma made sure that Lili wasn't around when she stoled Frazie, Gisu and Lizzie's uniforms, or when she dismissed the warehouse lady - if Frazie didn't wear her uniform, she couldn't attend that day's class. And if Norma could prove to Hollis that she wasn't compromised with school at all... maybe she could also convince her to persuade Truman in expelling Frazie once again.

So Frazie and her friends went back to their room from the spa, and there were no uniforms to be worn. They searched for them everywhere - they even went to the warehouse! They could buy new uniforms, if Frazie had the money to do so. But even if she had the money, they wouldn't be delivered in time... and they couldn't just sew new ones that quickly, without any materials. Lili was nowhere around to help them either.

They knew that was Norma's revenge because Frazie had danced with prince Adam instead of her. But more important, they hated to admit that she won, specially when Frazie was motivated again, again determined to succeed and to not get her friends in trouble for something it wasn't their fault.

Frazie called the carnival owner, and then asked to Donatella and Augustus come to the Academy with some fabrics urgently - Gisu even shouted that it was an emergency, and that she could pay for whatever losses anytime. But of course, Gus and Dona didn'tunderstood a shit about how fabrics and emergencies were related, so they sent Dion instead, in a run down beetle (by the time, the carnival was way closer to the Academy than it was before)... which wasn't so terrible, considering the situation. The girls had lost the fancy bus that would take them all to the Boole's castle.

Dion, passed the overwhelming excitement from when he arrived to rescue them, helped Frazie with her crazy sewing shenanigans. Then he drove them to the castle (Gisu flirted with him the whole time ), where they found Miss. Milla trying to convince Truman and Hollis to wait a little bit more for their arrival - after all, Milla was the last one from the staff to have spoken with them, she was the one who sent them to the warehouse so they could find new uniforms. She knew they weren't just sneaking around.

They were allowed in. And once they were in, they walked around the castle, somewhat behind their classmates, chatting non stop while Sasha and Hollis gave them all a tour of the place. Now, why were they behind? Because they found a very cool painting featuring a lady covered in warm fur clothing: according to the painting's description, a woman called Lucrecia Mux. The supposedly dead ruler of the extinct Grulovian Republic, a long time ago absorbed by Lizzie and Norma's great grandfather. Supposedly desde, because Lucrecia Mux was Frazie's ill and old great-aunt.

What did they conclude from these facts? First, that Lucy and the long dead king Compton Boole were friends, or there wouldn't be a paint of them together hang in the castle walls. Second, that the Natividad family was responsible for the horrible trauma that led to the immigration of millions of Grulovians - including Lucy herself, who came to the country without nothing but a fake surname and memories that were never shared.

The only unknown fact was that Norma heard their conversation - and that something changed inside her heart at that moment. During their first class of the day, the socio-politics class, when Norma's turn to state her future acts as a government arrived, she felt ashamed to say that, due the problems supposedly caused by immigration, both her family and the most prestigious governments were allied when taking restrictive, discriminatory and limiting attitudes on the topic. Frazie - now suspecting about her aunt's real identity - protested only to be silenced by Hollis.

After all, if such measurements were going to rule soon, then she should shut up and go warn her family instead of complaining. So Frazie finally runs back to the circus and tells everything to her family, having Lucy's confirmation about her real identity. They were preparing to move away... until the day Norma appeared with Lizzie, Gisu and Sam (her friend). Her eyes were wet, asking for forgiveness... and help. She aknowledges she acted terrible with Frazie, due prejudice and envy: Norma envied how free spirited and brave Frazie was. That's why she needed help for: to be brave, and to convince her dad to revoke the law he just instituted . It was unfair, it was wrong... it was all their fault. Norma even explains to Frazie that technically she could go back to the Academy if she wanted - considering that her vacancy was a social quota, so no one could take her place until the next raffle, the next year.

Frazie felt the honest in her words. She went back to the Academy. And together the girls came up with a plan: when Norma's turn to be crowned during the worldwide televised event that always happened arrived, she would call Frazie from her place among the other royal ladies so they both could expose all the truth, confirming it as such - the Aquatos would be there watching the ceremony like all the other families (of course they would never loose their beautiful princess having her moment in a fancy balloony dress) . With the Aquatos, there would be Lucy... they could show to the world that she was still alive, that justice needed to happen, and mistakes be fixed. And that was exactly what they did.

Ok so you mentioned hating Cu at some point, can I ask why?

ANON IM SO SORRY BUT THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG BECAUSE I HAVE A... HISTORY OF NEEDING TO EXPLAIN AND ELABORATE WHY I HATE ONE OF THE MOST BELOVED CHARACTERS IN FATE SERIES FAN SPACES

+as an addendum cu chulainn is also like a fairly moderate trigger of mine due to these reasons and some other personal ones so like. If this seems emotionally charged, it’s because it totally is for me  

So first things first I’d like to mention that typically when it comes to holding characters accountable for things their legends/mythos/histories invoke, there is a certain degree-of-separation rule I also abide by that basically is the following: 

If a character has considerable distance in characterization and design from their real-life/real-text counterpart, I essentially treat them as separate entities; especially in cases where the legends of a character influence their incarnation MORE than their actual texts

In essence a character is more of an imagined “image/concept” of a mythological/legendary/historic figure than the real deal themselves.

This rule is probably best discussed in regards to characters such as Nero Augustus, Iskandar, and Napoleon - nobody is holding Nero accountable for things like the Xtian genocide, or Iskandar for his cultural appropriation, or Napoleon for allowing slavery in Egypt. These are not the same historical figures that existed, they are mere romanticized images. 

It could be said that trying to create a romanticized image of these figures is troubling in of itself, but that discussion is for a separate post, since I feel like it’s worth going back into my “why do I hate cu” thing. 

Like a few years ago or so I was a bit more vocal about hating Cu and took the time to explain why specifically I hated Cu in both mythos and fate series and how they intertwined - here’s the posts I wrote. 

And because it should be noted: I am not an expert on Irish mythos!! I am a hobbyist at best!! But I am also a hobbyist who is also a survivor of incest, sexual assault, and sexual harassment and so my feelings about not engaging with characters who have that as a consistent theme are still worth examining. 

On Cu Chulainn’s Mythological Background  (tw for cheating, sexual assault/rape, incest)

It should also be spoken of that by marriage and birth, Cu is Medb’s nephew, so what fate does in forcing the two of them together as a romantic couple is ... well, also literally incest. a post I wrote 2 years ago entitled the Medb Elaboration Post contains details of these topics (tw for rape, incest mention).

Medb as a character has historically gotten subjected to the “you’re an evil woman” shtick, so Fate series deciding to ignore her previous marriage and make her fall in love with her nephew is something I’ve elected to ignore on the grounds that Medb as a mythological character deserves better than that. It’s not really “death of the author” so much as it’s “I think the character should be written like this to be more accurate to her historically noted values, actually”, which may be a recurring theme in character analyses that I do 

Anyways basically tl;dr cu is a Less than savory character in many respects and the way he’s written is just, so rife with misogynistic under or overtones and entitlement to sex that like. Bare minimum he leaves a bad taste on my tongue. Worst case (which is the case after thoroughly finding out what kind of character he was) he ends up a trigger for me lol

this is my oc thom$on (pronounced thom dolla son) feat. my bad art. as you can tell, he likes money. prewar, he was a rich man who threw himself into becoming successful in order to mentally and physically escape from the trauma in his childhood. he closed himself off emotionally and never let anyone close to him until years later. he has ties to many shady government operations, perhaps most prominently west-tek’s FEV experimentation.

hes a ghoul in every game except 76, and always wears his money leather jacket. he keeps his mustache and a bit of his hair even though he’s been ghoulified. he has a deep voice with a southern accent (like a mixture of augustus autumn from fo3 and augustus sinclair from bioshock 2). hes pretty overweight even as a ghoul bc i say so. skinny thom$on is cursed

PAULO  - Immature; needs someone who will find it entertaining BUT who will encourage him to be immature in non-harmful ways  - Is poly as hell; needs someone who won’t get jealous // will be VERY clear and open re: communication  - Somewhat insecure; needs someone who will be patient with him. Also really wants someone who is emotionally open & connected with him.   - Extremely sweet & thoughtful, likes emotional openness, is very honest w/ those he’s dating. 

David would be good with most of this, but probably wouldn’t push him to become better UNLESS he also did some growing up. Daisy would be great with the patience and would maybe be willing to call him on his BS, but the “poly” thing might be an issue with her. Rachel is clearly not good w/ communication re: the poly thing. Lucy would be bad with all of his insecurity. Mike.... probably wouldn’t be good with the immaturity and MAYBE would be bad with the poly thing. They’d both need to grow up b4 dating. 

MIKE  - Insecure; needs someone who will be willing to either spend more energy on him OR be open w/ communication about feelings & amount of time spent on each other. Also needs to have reassurance that the other person genuinely cares about him. ALSO.... needs someone who’s alright with him bein a kid.   - Bad at communication; needs someone who will encourage him to be open and honest abt his feelings. He tends to bottle things up because he doesn’t feel as though his feelings are warranted, and he needs a bit of hand holding to get him out of that state of mind.   - Very affectionate, gives a lotta attention to his SO, is giving to the point of being over-the-top. 

Paulo I think would be great with the openness problem, would be great about the balance, but they GOTTA both grow up a little before they could even begin to work. Lucy aint good, neither will be able to move past their.. past, plus she would be too abrasive for his needs. Sandy is Very Bad at the communication and being pushy about communication, actually she is just bad at most of this, and they shouldn’t dATE, I’m getting carried away. Uh. Anyways. 

DAISY  - Insecure; needs someone who will encourage her to be more self-confident esp with looks & coolness  - Loyalty issues?; really has a hard time letting go of past things, needs to be with someone who won’t give a shit about her pining since it’s mostly related to insecurity issues anyways.   - Avoidant; Daisy SEEMS to kind of brush things under the rug if they bother her (see: lack of communication on how Abbey’s problems were a bit too much for her, way too slow acceptance that her friend’s behavior was a real issue, etc). She needs someone who will not allow her to skirt around these issues (but in like a productive way).  - Self-centered; Daisy is vvveerrrryyy self-focused in a relationship. She tries really hard not to be, but her insecurities result in her wanting to seek out positive attention focused on her. She needs to have her insecurity dealt with, mature a little, and then... this will be better. 

Abbey’s not a good match with her, she’s too independent against his more controlling nature, & his insecurities did noootttt mesh well with hers (plus the whole Self Centered thing made them doomed frm the start because he needs a lot of support). Lucy probably wouldnt be a good match with her bc she wouldn’t be patient enough with all of her insecurities (tho they... are cute.... kit i am sorry for betraying u). Mike might be good if he actually liked her like that LOL, but she’s put him on such a high pedestal that their relationship would be doomed to fail anyways. Paulo would be great because he’d be very patient with her insecurities & would be mostly fine with her weird shit abt Mike (at least in a sense of him not being bothered by it, though he’d prolly encourage her to get over him). Augustus Fucked Up BAD so im not even putting him in here. 

ABBEY  - ive gone on too long, so imma keep this short but BASICALLY he needs someone who will be a supportive & positive influence in his life & who will gently push him away from being overly controlling (since he definitely has a problem with that, well-intentioned as he may be). He’s also gotta be with someone who will b able to deal with his temper. 

Daisy’s a bad match bc she skirts around his controlling nature rather than addressing it, PLUS she’s all over Mikie and has a hard time being the supporting influence (tho she’s very good abt the positivity thing). Jasmine ssseeeeems like she might be good so far but we don’t really know enough about her yet? Her calling him on his shit and setting boundaries in the latest page speaks strongly for her character, though. 

LUCY  - she’s abrasive but she DOES listen when boundaries are set, so she really just needs to date someone who will not be a spineless banana (like mike often is with those he cares abt). she also needs some1 who will kinda let her be herself & go at her own pace, not be pushy about opening up too quickly, etc. she’s slow to trust others so she’s gotta have Time. 

mike is bad bc he’s a spineless banana and of course the Sandy thing, paulo isn’t great because he wants shortcuts around her walls, augustus is good but i also dont trust that binch

AUGUSTUS  - this bitch................. needs someone who won’t like. pity him, & will instead encourage him to be a better person & love himself. goddamn.
