Imagine having a kid with Sukuna and him urging you to have a day out after giving birth and taking care of the baby so you can have a fun stress free day with friends, and then him having a daddy daughter date. I thought it’s cute 🥰
oh… oh you KNOW HOW I FEEEEEEEEL ABOUT A DAD!AU (bro this got so long im sO SORRY-)
———
“Okay, there’s three bottles of milk in the fridge.”
“Okay.”
“And her melts are in the cabinet!”
“I know, I live here too.”
“Oh! And her stuffed lamb is her favorite to nap with-“
“Babe,” Sukuna laughs, wrapping an arm around you. In his other arm, Akiara is held securely, with an arm under her thighs to keep her perched against his chest, the pacifier in her mouth bouncing as she rattles a small toy in her hands. “I got this. It’ll be fine.”
“Okay, but if you need me, call me.”
“I’m not going to call you. Go have fun,” he encourages. Deep down, he knows you’re terrified to leave the baby with anyone for more than 15 minutes, always keeping her in close proximity and within earshot. The farthest you’ve gone is to shower while Sukuna indulges with tummy time, and it seems that every time, you’re surprised the house hasn’t crumbled in the brief period.
But Akiara is five months now. And your friends begged you to come shopping with them, missing you from outings with the group. Sukuna knows you trust him implicitly, but your separation anxiety is physically felt in the air this point. He pulls you in for a hug and presses a kiss to the crown of your head, “go. If the house catches on fire, I’ll call you. Otherwise, I can handle a few hours with my own spawn.” You tense slightly, and he offers you a stern look, “do you trust me?”
“Of course I do, but-“
“Then let me take care of everything. Go.”
You offer him a shaky sigh and make your way over to Akiara in his arms, “mommy loves you so much, okay?” You whisper. She babbles and grabs your hair, and Sukuna can see the nervous tears welling up. “I’ll be home in two hours tops.”
“Don’t time yourself,” he chuckles. “Go with your girlfriends. I gave you the credit card, go buy some clothes, or a necklace, or those expensive ass pastries you love so much.” Then, he nods his head towards the door, “scram. Before you cry your mascara off.”
“Okay,” you sigh. “Okay-“ you blow them both a few kisses as you slowly make your way to the door, “I love you both so much. Behave. Oh, and nap time is at 1:30-“
“Babe. Go,” he snickers. He watches as you open the door and walk backwards out, your eyes focused on the two of them until the door shuts fully, keeping you outside and them on the inside. Sukuna sighs in relief and he adjusts Akiara to be held arms length, “you, stinky girl, need a bath,” he hums, and when the little girl coos, he brings her tiny body up to his mouth to playfully bite her chubby belly, hiccupy laughter filling the air briefly before he pulls a face of disgust and holds her back out. “Yeah. You stink. Like a lot.”
Sukuna wastes no time in setting up her bathtub and cleansing the tiny child with her soaps, letting her splash the warm water for some time until she reaches up for him. He barely gets her out of the tub and into a towel before his phone buzzes wildly. He sighs and answers it, “do I have to block your number?”
“No!” You whine. “I just wanted to see how things were going. I just got to the restaurant, wanted to make sure everything was okay before I ate.”
“Well the dog got out, I broke a vase and our kid went to college, so not great,” he says flatly, and when you huff in annoyance, and smirks, “everything is fine. She just had a bath, I’m trying to dry her off, and then we’re going to watch some of those dancing fruits she likes so much. Goodbye.”
“Wait- you bathed her before you fed her?” You ask.
He pulls his mouth into a straight line, “yes. Because she smelt like shit fart-“
“Sukuna!” You snap.
“If I have to bathe her again, I will. It’s not the end of the world,” he tries to soothe. When you click your tongue he chuckles again. “Okay. Goodbye.”
“Goodbye,” you say, ending the phone call. He pockets the device and looks down at his child. “Shes your mother alright,” he says. His daughter merely babbles and chews on her fingers. He gets her settled into a clean diaper before hoisting her back and onto his hip, making his way to the living room, resting her on his massive stomach and clicking on the TV for some entertainment. There’s a baseball game on, surely you won’t mind if he indulges while his baby lays on his chest.
The colors are good stimulation.
“Who you got money on?” He asks Akiara, who blinks eyes like yours up at him. When she smiles a gummy smile, he shrugs, “I don’t know. They’ve got a really good pitcher.” His thick fingers gently stroke up and down her spine, so gently and warm that he feels Akiara’s breathing slowly even out, his little girl falling asleep on his chest. He winces, he knows you’re not going to be thrilled about an early nap time, but who the hell is he to wake a sleeping baby?
A sleeping baby who sleeps for hours. You’re going to be pissed at him.
By the time the game is over, Akiara is still fast asleep on his chest, tiny hands balled into fists as her long lashes lay on her cheeks. Sukuna’s gotta give you credit, you haven’t called or texted since her bath, and now it’s well into four hours since you’ve left and you’re still out with your friends. He’s proud of you.
He’s not sure how long in total Akiara was sleeping for, but not long after the game, she slowly twitches awake, eyes fluttering open before fixating on him. He watches fondly as her body slowly wakes up, starting with her sleepy eyes that blink open, followed by her mouth which opens to let out the smallest yawn.
“Good morning, sleepy girl,” he hums, gently cradling the back of her head. “Was that a good nap?” Akiara merely thunks her head back against his chest in response. He kisses her head softly before standing up, shuffling to the kitchen to grab one of the prepared bottles from the fridge. He pops it in her mouth, where her tiny fists assist him in holding it. The child drinks the milk happily, wide eyes blinking as she downs the beverage hungrily. He smirks, “definitely my kid.”
With that, you come home.
He can tell by the jingling of keys you’re trying to hurry in as fast as possible, and he snickers at your struggle. Once the door finally creaks open, you haul your bags into the home and kick the door shut, smiling as your eyes land on your little family. “Hey you.”
“What’s up?” He hums, kissing you as you get close. “How was it?”
“It was great!” You squeal, and he can’t fight the way his heart squeezes at your excitement. “I got some new dresses, a pair of heels, some perfumes- oh, and I got you a cologne-“
“That’s my girl,” he says, but he can tell your attention is focused on the small girl he’s currently burping, and he shrugs, “you want to take over?”
When you nod sheepishly, he gently passes Akiara over to you, and you coo down at her, “hi, Mumma’s girl,” you coo, and she burps loudly in your face. “Well excuse you!”
Sukuna can’t fight the laughter that barks from his throat, snickers tearing through until you’re smiling and shaking your head, and he pulls you in for another hug.
He loves that his small family fits in his arms.

˗ˏˋ🖍️crayons and connections
pairing: prohero!katsuki x nanny!reader
summary: after a harsh relationship he really didn't want another try at romance for a while. at least, not until he hired you. he thought he loved the way you cared for his kids, but you both knew it was something more.
tags: fem!reader, domestic au, use of pet names, no proofread, fluff, cursing, taking care of kids, a millisecond of angst i swear trust me, comfort
(a/n: i couldn't get this au out of my headdd)
wc: ~3k
katsuki was honestly sick of his wife.
she would nag him constantly, asking for his cards and attention without ever asking about him or how he was doing. everything was an argument now, most of their nights would eventually end up with him on the couch.
the only lights of his life were his newborn son and one year old daughter. he had adopted the 'staying for the kids' mindset, but her skipping out on their shared daughter's first birthday was his breaking point.
who knew 'i want a divorce' would be the happiest words he'd ever uttered such far? watching her cry and swear she'd be better feeding the hole of despair that had opened over their three year relationship, that had only really blossomed because she got pregnant.
he had made her sign a prenup, thankfully, so he got to keep the house. with a payment and some paperwork he was left with full custody of his kids in his house, to sleep in his bed for the first time in ages.
well, only because he hired you.
it was only natural that he needed a nanny, i mean he was gone for most of the day patrols. after taking some in for interviews, he eventually landed on you after some hours of questioning.
he was exhausted, some of these hags were terrifying, both in their practices and appearances. he relaxed a bit at the sight of you. you were really pretty.
"hi mr-- um bakugo was it?"
you and no idea who he was? it kind of hurt but would end up working out in his favor.
"yeah, just katsuki's fine."
"oh, okay! i'm [name], uh-- i have a couple years experience for babysitting and i worked as a nanny for some other families too--"
as you rambled about your past experience and why you were good for the job, katsuki's mind went elsewhere. you looked breathtaking just speaking there, he swore your hair was flowing in the wind and that the sun shone brighter around you.
not to mention you were really sweet, he had saw you making small talk to the hags earlier, which meant you really were a saint.
"so uh-- yeah that's all about me... uh, hello?"
"oh! yes? that was all really impressive [name]. so, would you be available from eight in the morning to about ten at night? those are my current patrol hours, and obviously you'd be compensated for this trial."
"yes, that's perfect for me! when can i start?"
"uh.. tomorrow?"
"okay!" you stuck out your hand, a small smile on your lips. "nice to meet you katsuki."
he shook your hand firmly and you bowed before leaving.
the next day you arrived earlier than anticipated, he was suited up in his heroes outfit, relishing in the moments where his kids were still asleep.
he heard a knock at the door and opened it. it was you, a tiny purse behind you. "hi katsuki! woah wait a minute.. are you like a hero?"
he shrugged his arms. "yeah, you know only like top three, nothing big."
he saw your eyes widen. "oh wow! sorry for not recognizing you, i don't really keep up with all that stuff-- but im sure you're really strong!"
he nodded, "hell yeah i am. anyways, come in."
you were greeted by a large family home. you were sure your apartment was the size of the kitchen alone. huge halls and grand staircases filled the space, lavish chandeliers all shaped as explosions hung from the ceiling. not to mention the crazy amount of trophies displayed.
the rocking chairs and baby blankets scattered about were seriously out of place, making you giggle a bit.
when he looked back at you, you immediately slapped your hand over your face. "something funny?"
"no, no it's just-- your house is so nice!"
"thank you? anyways, i'll take you up to their rooms now."
you followed behind him, even his kids had huge rooms. you were super kind of jealous.
he opened the door and waved you over to see a small, adorable baby boy sleeping in a cot. "this is kei, he's only eight months." he whispered. "he fusses a lot, but he loves music."
he closed the door slowly behind, and walked to the room straight across. a tiny toddler laid in a princess bed, the room drowning in all things pink. "this is kioko, she's a handful. she turned two a bit ago." he whispered, closing the door behind him to give you a basic rundown of the schedule.
"so, they normally wake up around eight. there's a lot of formula for kei in the kitchen, and kioko just likes cereal. kioko can and will play all day, but kei gets real sleepy."
you nodded along making mental notes of everything.
"they eat lunch around three, but a snack before then is fine. dinner is at seven and they go to sleep at eight."
"okay, i think i got it."
he nodded. "i think you do too. there's extra keys in the counter by the door. call my assistants if there are any emergencies, i wrote the number on the fridge."
you nodded again, "kay, i got it. you get going though, it's already eight twenty!"
"fuck. okay, i'll see you later."
"bye katsuki."
the door closed behind him and you were alone. you decided to start prepping a bottle. just as you finished, you heard the wails of a baby ring throughout the halls.
you walked up to the cot, speaking softly. "hi kei, i'm [name]." as you picked him up, he gurgled in confusion. "i'll be taking care of you from now on, let's go eat."
you kept him in your arms. he was looking up at you curiously, making you smile as he touched your face. as you walked to his sister's room, where sure enough she was awake too.
"hi kioko, im [name]. i'll be taking care of you, okay?" you said, reaching out a hand for her to shake it.
she grasped your hand. "okay. go eat?"
"yes, let's go eat. follow me, okay?" she followed after you sleepily, her blanket and stuffed animal in her arms as you led her to the kitchen.
you placed her brother in a high chair first, giving him his formula. "can i pick you up?" you asked her.
"up-up!" she said, raising her arms up in the air. you carried and placed her into one too. "so, what do you wanna eat?"
"cookie!" she pointed to an expensive cereal brand you'd never even seen before. "oh, okay."
you placed a bit in a tiny bowl, adding some milk. they ate relatively peacefully, were they really as crazy as katsuki said?
yes, yes they were. kioko was a ball of energy, walking any and everywhere. she wanted to play every single game known to mankind. it didn't help that hide and seek was hard in such a huge house.
kei clung to you. as you searched for her he never wanted to leave your side, he'd start sniffling when you even left his sight.
lunch and dinner were a blur, you made the food katsuki had told you to on the sticky notes he'd left around. you had a bit too, and man did these kids eat good.
kioko finally crashed, tugging on the back of your pants. "sleepy time." you were washing dishes, so you wiped your hand clean to ruffle her hair. "okay, go wait for me in your room."
you finished up, picked up kei from where he was sat by his activity cube, and walked over to kioko's room.
you read her a book, 'the giving tree.' she fell asleep halfway through, utterly tuckered out from the day. kei fell asleep against your chest, you went and laid him down in his cot.
you looked around the house, seeing the mess. you sighed. "let's do this."
the house was sparkling once you were done, a pot of coffee on the stove as you waited for katsuki to get back. you seriously didn't know how you were going to go back your one-bed apartment now that you've seen how the rich live.
the door sounded, it was katsuki. "hi katsuki! how was uh-- patrol?"
he was covered in soot and dirt from head to toe. you internally sobbed at your hours of mopping going to waste. "oh uh, it was good. caught some guys and shit."
"ah, that's cool!"
he looked around. "did my brats cause you any trouble?" he eyed how clean everything was, from the dishes to the floor.
"they're full of energy, but so cute it makes up for it."
he wore a soft smile. "yeah, they really are."
"you know, they both look exactly like you. it's cute."
he flushed slightly, "yeah?"
"mhm, oh! i had leftovers from earlier? if you wanted some."
"yeah, i'll eat them." she smiled and started to grab her things. "so, does this mean i pass?"
he smiled too. "yes,
yes you did."
days melted into months of your routine with kei and kioko. some days katsuki would come home early, letting you play games all together. you'd cook with him sometimes too, laughing at how precise he was about it.
everything got a bit real the second kei spoke his first word to you.
"mama."
you and kioko got so excited, recording a clip to send it to katsuki immediately.
the entire day you were so happy, treating the kids to a secret extra snack, and letting them beat their favorite baby popcorn.
a knock on the door was heard, you were feeding kei so you walked over to the door with him in hand. you thought it was odd, why would katsuki knock?
except it wasn't him, it was some woman. "uh.. who are you?"
"oh, so he thinks he can replace me so quickly? newsflash, bitch, i'm his ex wife."
"can you not curse in front of the kids?"
"i'll do whatever the fuck i want. you know why? because i'm actually connected to those kids. you're just playing mother, he'll dump you eventually."
she slammed the door behind her. "star her mama?" kioko asked behind you.
"yeah, stranger."
you had gotten a bit weird after that, acting weird about affection and things surrounding it. you didn't know why, but she really did make you question your role in their lives.
you weren't a mother, you were a nanny.
katsuki finally got fed up with your new, odd attitude. he questioned you with a look in his eye.
"why you been acting so weird?" he asked, his mouth full with food.
"huh? i don't know what you mean?"
he pointed his chopsticks at you. "you've been acting all weird 'round 'em. you don't like that they call you mom or something?"
"no! it's just.. don't you think it's weird?"
"no. i'm happy that they like you so much."
"you don't think i'm trying to replace their mom?"
"they never really had one in the first place. she was never around, so if she said some shit to you know she wasn't half the person you are."
"oh.."
"so she did come."
"yeah. she did."
"[name]. you are ten times the person she ever was. you're perfect without trying. actually, you do try. and that's why..
that's why we all love you."
you both turned red, which made you laugh. "thank you katsuki."
you reached out and held his hand.
"seriously, thank you."
he put a restraining order on his ex the next day, also going to get flowers for you as it was his day off.
you'd started to sleep over after that, the affection between the two of you growing gradually.
he gifted you a room in the house, fully furnished with about ten thousand dollars left in one of the drawers so 'you could decorate for yourself.'
that room went mostly unused though, as most nights you'd end up cuddled with katsuki in his bed.
the fridge was filled to the brim with photos by kioko, who'd love to draw all four of you as one big family.
katsuki even asked her for a small one, one that he now keeps in the back of his phone case for good luck.
he asked you out officially with kioko's help, her unwanted help that is.
she snuck out after bedtime where he was speaking to you on the couch, you in his arms as he was mustering up his courage--
"pleaseeee have a play date with daddy, pleasee?" she said, using her puppy eyes.
"we all love you a lot, but he loves you this much!" she spread out her arms to make a point, making you laugh.
"okay! okay, i already said yes kioko. go to sleep, okay?"
"yay!" she ran up to her room and you heard the door close.
"so.. about our playdate?"
he took you out to a fancy dinner of your choice, telling you to order whatever you'd like. his mom was babysitting so you two could relax.
he'd learned a lot about you from his kids, your favorite color, the music you liked, the way you like your eggs, but it was different to hear it from you.
he thought you were so gorgeous and kind, so sweet to him and the lights of his life. who was he kidding? over the last year you'd become a pillar of his life.
he enjoyed going home knowing you were there with his kids, you were there to hear about his stresses and support him.
he was happy to support you, to let you stay in his house. to let him pay for things for you, to let him make you smile.
one 'playdate' turned into multiple, you went out every other week.
he knew he had to do something, a grand gesture to show you just how much he loved you, how he wanted to continue building this perfect family of his forever.
he knew how much you treasured the opinions of his kids, he loved that about you.
so, he got them in on it. kioko and kei each held a gift for you, one of your favorite flowers and the other of your favorite perfumes.
you were at a seriously gorgeous park, streams the only noise you could hear for miles. you saw your two favorite kids sitting on the picnic blanket.
"kioko, kei?"
"mommy!" they ran up to you, kei handing you the bouquet of roses, and kioko handing you a vial of perfume.
"aw, thank you you two. where's your dad?"
"hes waiting for you! come come!"
"come!"
they guide you to a secluded area, with a natural arch of overgrown vines, where katsuki is waiting for you.
"katsuki?"
"[name]."
"what's all of this for?"
"you." he took your hands into his, looking deeply into you.
"you're important to me. you've.. you've become the thing i was missing. the thing i searched for in other people.
and, you've become that to the people i care about the most too.
so,"
he got down on one knee infront of you.
"will you marry me?"
the word yes escaped you before you even realized it. you tackled him into a hug, which prompted kei and kioko to join in.
everything was just so sweet from then on.
kioko was the flower girl at your wedding, kei was the ring holder.
your first kiss shared under the altar was magical, the memory of it forever engrained in your memories, and in your lips.
your honeymoon was bittersweet, as you missed your two headaches. but you and katsuki also enjoyed the private time alone with eachother, embracing and finding comfort in eachother's presence.
when you got home though, your picturesque family was about to have a new addition,
you were pregnant.
whilst everyone was debating whether or not you'd have a boy or girl, to everyone's surprise once you and katsuki cut the slice of cake open..
it had both colors.
you we're having twins.
as you looked over at katsuki, a shocked expression on his face, all you could do was laugh.
laugh because you couldn't have ever imagined a life this perfect for you.
but it was a wax-drawn line of fate that led you to katsuki,
and you'd always be thankful for it.

OBSESSED: FUSHIGURO
A/N: OH. MY. GOD. Anon. I love you and hate you for this request. This was…hard. I told myself I wouldn’t publish it unless it was fucking perfect (you should see the scalpels I took to each goddamn sentence before this version).
SECOND: I will square up with Gege for writing the most enigmatic, LAYERED, complex, muddled character to exist. I wanted this to be Megumi. Through and through. His darkness, his light, his reservation, his crazy, all in one. And IDK. I think I did it? This one is purely to prove to myself that I can write for characters that are hard to write for (*cough* yuta im glaring at you *cough*)
THIRD: if you do read this (I get people feel things about aged up characters etc), I implore you to listen to this. Guys. I heard this at 0200 IN THE OR during a 6 hour case and the entire concept for this came to me. Meg is sophisticated and unruly, selfless and selfish, etc. So this has some NSFW but definitely probably more on the poetic, long ends of my works.
CW: Aged up characters (20+), college AU, fluffy/raunchy/dark romance-y because LOOK at him. He takes after Gojo AND Toji. Mature, 18+
“You like it when I’m rough.”
Megumi’s melody rings crystal clear.
Low.
Precise.
An F-14 Tomcat fighter jet, flying dark. Below enemy radar.
The piano keys float beneath his tone. His long, slender, deft fingers effortlessly execute the sheet music before him. It’s his GPS system, a personal flight map.
Little Beethoven, his advanced music theory professor calls him.
Truth is, Megumi is a prolific pianist and vocalist. He can tame any note, any melody, any harmony faster than any of his Shikigami.
Speaking of…
Megumi pulls off the piano and tortured love song in an instant. Just as the grade 3 curse creeps through the open door.
The part between his right long and ring fingers is automatic. His left hand grips the web space between his right thumb and index finger.
“Demon dog.” Megumi summons.
Low. Precise. Decisive.
“Eat it, boy.”
A small, approving smile tugs on the corners of his lips. Low level curses are the nothing more than chew toys to his divine dogs. With a tiny wave of his fingers, his technique buzzes inward.
Megumi’s eyes float to the ancient analog clock on the wall.
13:50
10 more minutes until you’ll meet him for your date.
No. Not date.
Study. 10 more minutes until you’re meeting him to study.
Your thought blooms within him like wildfire. It sets his normally cool, porcelain skin ablaze.
Megumi whips his body around to face the piano. To exorcise the feeling. The keyboard has always been his outlet. His life blood. Playing, singing, musing in and out of written songs is his catharsis.
Words don’t come easy. They never have. But lyrics do.
And when he gets to ride lyrics with his voice, his runs..?
The words he can never find on his own are suddenly out there. In the atmosphere. Coating empty rooms in a mist of his thoughts, his feelings.
No certain promise that the person the words are destined for will ever catch them. Or ever walk through the room and be kissed by the remnants of his musical trail. But Megumi has said (sung, played) them. And that’s enough.
“Sorry if I come across a type of way.”
“I’ve been trying to get out of my way…”
His fingers dive into the keys. Angrily. Earnestly.
“I know it doesn’t seem like I care, but you know I care—“
“Wow Meg, you sound incredible.”
You bring him to an abrupt stop. Your voice is maple syrup trailing down Megumi’s neck, leaving goosebumps in its candied wake.
Pitch fucking perfect.
A soft, ethereal C, gliding down Heaven’s staircase. You infuse sunlight into his name, whichever way you choose to say it.
And it’s hell. It’s cruel. To have as keen hearing as he does. To listen to you sing his name and have nothing else follow.
“Fushiguro.” Megumi shoots up from his seat, slinging his backpack over one shoulder.
“What?”
“Fushiguro.” He repeats, eyes briefly meeting yours before settling above your head. He’s at least a head and shoulders taller.
“Nobody calls me Meg.”
You throw your head back. Feather light crescendo in your laughter. It’s pretty. Tantalizing in the way chandeliers twinkle when they capture a beam of light.
His eyes dart down to catch the feminine column of your neck. Curving into your delicate collar bones. How are your lines so seamless?
So cinematic. Like he’s watching a figure skater land a triple axel. Or a prima ballerina en pointe. It’s not fathomable.
Gorgeous.
You are gorgeous.
“I call you Meg.” You retort with a smile that liquifies all of his joints.
You double your walking speed to keep pace with Megumi’s long strides. Both of you exit the sound engineering building. Heading straight for the campus library a couple blocks away.
“Who were you—oh,” Megumi’s glacial hand along the small of your back steals your voice away.
Your eyes and feet follow his gentle push, shifting you to the other side of him.
“Walking on the wrong side.” He mutters, monotone. Matter-of-fact. Obviously.
He’s a gentleman. Of course he is going to walk on the traffic facing edge of the sidewalk.
Of course he didn’t feel the electric currents wire through his fingers to clench — suffocate — his heart.
No, he didn’t hear that punched out, falsetto gasp when his hand cradled your perfectly tapered waist.
Or notice how well you fit into his hand. How light you are under his touch that had none of his real strength behind it.
You’re made of alluring lines. Intoxicating sounds.
What would it take to coax a pretty melody out of your pouty lips?
His fingers?
They’re long. And smart. Cold. Remarkably patient. You’d like them.
He could make you love them.
Crave them. Need, whimper, whine, and cry out for them.
“So who was it?” You tether him to reality.
“Who was what?” Megumi counters, leading you to a private study room.
“The way you were singing earlier.”
Hairs along the back of his neck stand at attention. Blood runs Siberian cold. Megumi’s gaze on you is subzero.
“It had to be for someone.” You lower down into a seat in slow motion.
The sweetheart neckline of your sundress is mean. Your supple mounds tilt and ripple with every micro movement. Megumi has forgotten why he’s glaring at you.
“You sound too…pretty. It can’t be wasted on thin air.” You continue.
“She must be—“
“Let’s just get started, okay?” He sharply redirects the conversation.
And promptly shifts gear to low autopilot. He’ll speak when spoken to, answer questions intermittently. But his mind’s true coordinates are a galaxy away.
Megumi retreats to his shadow garden.
Watching you.
Drinking you in.
Savoring each detail on his tastebuds like dessert.
The pencil eraser leaves an indent on your bottom lip where you’ve been pressing too hard.
Megumi wants to roll your bottom lip under his teeth. Until it flushes rose and swells beneath his relentless pull.
His eyes fall to your bracelet, far too big for your dainty wrist.
He could hold both of your wrists in one hand above your head or behind your back for hours. Without breaking a sweat.
His other hand would take its time.
To stroke you. Pet you. Learn your sheet music. Then play your body like a harp until you’re a chorus of beautiful, soprano whimpers and moans. Begging and pleading so prettily, enticing him to give in.
But he won’t.
Not until you’re soft enough. A babbling, warm, ruined brook beneath his fingers.
Then he’ll take you, gorgeous.
Searing pain from his sharp swallow and nails digging into his thighs rip him down to the present.
Vision a little fuzzy. Head a revolving door of vulgar scenarios. A dull, demanding ache between his legs draws his eyes to his lap.
Fucking hell.
His jeans are uncomfortable. He’s stiff and needy. Not nearly enough strength in his pants to hold back his drunken arousal.
Not to the mention, the—
swarm of shadows growing at his feet?
Is his…innate domain materializing around him right now?
Megumi aggressively slices through the air at his hip level. Below the table, but you don’t miss his sudden stirring.
“Meg? You okay over—“
“Going to the bathroom.” He gruffs through a clenched jaw. Megumi places his forearm over his crotch before hurrying out of the room.
He can barely recognize the man in the mirror. Flushed to his ears. Volcanoes threatening eruption in his eyes. Api Biru. Pure, triple distilled, blue lava coursing through his veins.
Snap out of it, Fushiguro.
The splash of cold water does nothing for his internal heat. But his milky complexion returns to its effervescent state.
But then he turns a little too quickly to leave. And his painfully hard length drags along his fabric. It’s blinding.
A feeble moan tumbles out of his tight lips.
“Fuck.”
Megumi slams his eyes shut. He needs to readjust. But if he touches himself now, he might not be able to stop.
A slow, steadying breath fills his lungs.
“Just adjust, don’t…” His voice trails off. Icey fingers around his hot, angry base is enough to rip the carpet from beneath his feet.
“Oh, fuck.” Megumi mumbles through one quick pump up his shaft.
He shakes his head as if to tell himself enough. He rests his erection along his thigh before zipping up. Still painful, but tolerable.
A tornado obliterates any remaining resolve in Megumi’s mind on his walk back to you.
You are a dream.
Or a nightmare? A curse?
It doesn’t matter. He couldn’t care less.
Megumi would follow you. Deeper than the crypts of his 10 shadows. Into hell if it meant he could have you the way he wants you.
The way he craves you.
Because fuck the cost.
He’d pay anything.
You’re working on an elaborate concept diagram on the white board. On the tip of your toes. Lip curled under your teeth. And you are just irresistible.
So, he won’t resist.
“Meg! Took you a bit, you okay?”
Megumi is silent. Unblinking. Sauntering toward you.
“Megumi?”
You lower to the soles of your shoes. Neck craning to look at his face. Your eyes widen at his persistent silence. Rosy heat dusting your cheeks.
Pretty little doe, rooted in place by his wolfish glare.
Megumi takes the marker out of your hand and tosses it behind him in one swift motion.
“Hmm,” a tiny acknowledgment of his name. Just because it sounds so sweet rolling off your tongue.
Megumi corners you against the wall. Both of his hands casually in his pockets.
He watches you shift. Flicker your eyes in every direction. Fiddle with your thumbs.
His quiet.
His presence.
It flusters you. Well before he’s gotten the chance to run his hands along the lazy curve of your waist and hips.
“So…so blue.” You stammer. Your warm eyes metronome between his.
“They are.”
Megumi steps impossibly closer. His eyes drop to your chest. Dainty, nervous heaves. Up and down. Up and down.
“You are so,” you swallow thickly, dropping your gaze. “hard to read.”
Megumi snakes his large, graceful fingers into your nape. The temperature difference between your warmth and his cold startles you deeper into his grasp. Your head evanesces into his pull.
A beautiful, shocked gasp escapes you. Just as Megumi’s lips trace the shell of your ear.
“I want you.”
His breaths collide with yours, now. Heat welling deep in his groin. His cock thunders against his thigh.
“Can you read that?” Megumi rasps. Ensuring his voice vibrates down your spine.
A new sound tumbles from your lips. Like you choked on your last swallow. How pretty. You gurgling and gagging like that.
“W-want me? Megumi wh—“
“I.” Megumi nudges his thigh between your legs. His steel pipe erection digs into your dewy, hot core. He angles his leg slightly upward, inching you on the tip of your toes.
His prima ballerina, en pointe.
“Want you.” His lips ghost against yours. Free hand cups the flesh beneath your thigh. Pads of his fingers twitching to dig in.
The two of you drink in this lock-in-key fit. Megumi revels in you. Like this. At his complete mercy.
The prodigal son, born with more power than he knows what to do with.
Ten shadows. Ten Shikigami. It’s been centuries since the last head of his bloodline had power buzzing beneath his fingertips like him.
And somehow he’s never felt more powerful than this.
With you, heaven’s most precious angel, cradled in his arms. Drowning in sinful ecstasy. He brands this freeze frame into the most permanent part of his memory.
Then, he free falls off your cliff edge.
Megumi takes your lips with unfettered greed. Hunger woven into the way his tongue traces every corner of your delectable, soft mouth. His fingers push your head deeper into him. Sucking and nibbling on your warm muscle.
You shower him with airy, choppy little pants. Moans and whines so light they crescendo to fairy dust. You can’t keep up with his bruising kiss. His other hand palms your thigh, kneading little bruises into your silky smooth skin.
Marking what’s his.
“Oh my god.”
You breathe into his mouth when he lets you up for air. Megumi’s eyes dart down to the meeting point of your sex and his muscular thigh.
Did you really think he wouldn’t notice how you’re rutting your pretty little cunt against his leg like that?
Crimson high on your cheeks. You look away when he tries to catch your fucked out gaze.
“Don’t hide from me, gorgeous.” His hand traces up to your hips. You preen into his firm grip.
“Megumi.”
“Don’t stop, pretty girl.” He forcefully moves your hips in more dramatic, languid, deep rolls against his thigh. He’s not paying any mind to the pool of his precum soaking through his pants.
You bury your head in his neck. Fingernails digging pretty crescent moons into his back. You take over the pace. Undulating against him. Shameless. In complete heat.
“You feel s-so…so good.” Your lips smear against his dampened neck. Megumi responds by circling your puffy, slick bud with his fingers.
And fuck. The slurred, broken whimper that rings in his ears.
The way you hump him even more sloppily.
He could finish from that alone.
Your hand flies to your mouth. Empty huffs spilling. Whines ascending in pitch. You are close.
“Such pretty sounds, baby.”
“Megumi…meg..I-“
“Let it out.” He grips the back of your neck. Feeling dangerously close to his own nirvana. Drunk off your precious melody.
“Sing for me.”
“F-fuck, GOD.”
You bite down on his neck. Waves of pleasure crashing into you like hurricane winds. He grips your waist steady. Feeling every involuntary twitch and jerk of your doll-like frame.
Blessing or curse?
He doesn’t know.
But he will follow you to the end of his lifetime and the next.
“God, Fushiguro. That was…” The lusty haze from your peak settles around you. The once shattered world, slowly pieces itself back together.
“No.” Megumi pulls you out of his neck. Dropping his lips to yours, so he can breathe the air directly from your lungs.
“Meg. You call me Meg.”

Fifteen died. Including Grayson.
Daylight is spent in a daze of cleaning up, tending to the wounded, and trying to process the magnitude of what's happened. People are trying to piece together what little they can salvage, but the damage is more than just physical.
As night falls, the community gathers for a final farewell. The loss is too great, too much to be exposed under the harsh light of day. The night offers a semblance of protection, a cloak under which everyone can mourn and where grief can be private.
Candles flicker in the hands of those gathered and the atmosphere is thick with sorrow. Families huddle together, some on their knees beside makeshift crosses, others standing in silent clusters. The candles illuminate their tears, turning them into tiny rivers of gold that glisten in the darkness.
You stand by Grayson’s cross, surrounded by those who knew and loved her. Vander, his broad shoulders tense and Ekko clutches his candle so tightly that the wax has begun to drip onto his fingers. Powder leans into Vi, who wraps a protective arm around her sister. Caitlyn stands close, her face a mask of composed grief, but her eyes are red-rimmed and distant. Ren holds onto your hand tightly, her small fingers interlaced with yours.
Your gaze keeps drifting to the shadows, searching for one face in particular.
Then, as if conjured by your thoughts, you spot her. She’s standing under a tree, half-hidden in the shadows. The candlelight doesn’t reach her, leaving her face partially obscured, but you can tell it’s her. She's motionless, almost statuesque, her expression unreadable.
There’s something in the way she’s watching the scene before her that sends a shiver down your spine. It’s almost as if she’s already a ghost herself, a spirit haunting the edge of the gathering. There’s an emptiness to her, as if the life has been drained out of her and what remains is only a shell, a figure standing over a world she no longer belongs to.
A heaviness resides in your chest, a deep, aching sadness that mirrors the grief of those around you. Grayson’s loss is a wound that cuts deep. She was the heart of this community, the one who held everyone together. And now she’s gone, leaving behind a legacy that feels too big, too important to carry on without her.
The vigil continues, but you feel a shift in the air, a quiet, unspoken understanding that it’s time to go, that there’s nothing more to be done here tonight. Slowly, people begin to leave, one by one, their footsteps soft on the grass. You hesitate, your gaze lingering on Sevika one last time. She hasn’t moved, hasn’t acknowledged your presence or anyone else’s.
As your family and Ren head to a neighbor’s house, seeking comfort in numbers, you seek solace in solitude instead.
The silence is almost deafening in your room. You close the door behind you, leaning against it for a moment as you let out a shaky breath.
There’s a soft knock at the door, and for a moment, you think you might be imagining it. But then it comes again, and you push yourself away from the door, your heart pounding in your chest as you reach for the handle.
When you open the door, Sevika is standing there, but she’s not the woman you remember. There’s a hollow look in her eyes, a deep exhaustion etched into every line of her face. She’s hunched over slightly as if the weight of everything has finally broken through her defenses.
For a moment, you just stare at each other, neither of you knowing what to say.
"What's going on?" you ask, your voice barely above a whisper.
Without a word, she steps into the room, her movements slow and almost hesitant.
"Sevika..." you start, but the words die in your throat as she looks at you. Her eyes, usually so guarded, are now pools of raw emotion.
"I could have lost you yesterday," she says, her voice cracking. "I almost did."
You step back and fall onto the edge of your bed, overwhelmed by the intensity of her gaze, the weight of her words.
Sevika falls to her knees before you, burying her face in your lap. Her body shakes, hands clutching desperately at your clothes. The sight of her kneeling before you sends a shockwave through your system. This is Sevika, the woman who’s always stood tall, who’s never shown weakness.
“Please…” The word escapes her lips in a raw, broken whisper, her voice laced with a desperation you’ve never heard from her before. “Please… I can’t take this pain forever.”
Your hands hover uncertainly over her. She’s seeking you, but you find yourself instinctively pushing back, your fingers gripping her shoulders to keep some distance between you. The urge to comfort her wars with the part of you that’s terrified—terrified that if you let her in again, she’ll leave, and you’ll be left with nothing but this overwhelming pain.
Why now? your eyes ask, the ache in your chest tightening. Why now, when I don’t even know if I can trust you not to leave again?
Sevika looks up, her eyes red-rimmed and filled with vulnerability. She reaches for you, but you flinch away, your body betraying your inner turmoil. I won’t, her eyes seem to respond. her hands clinging to you as if you’re the only thing keeping her from falling apart completely.
The push and pull become physical - Sevika's hands grasping at your clothes, trying to draw you in, while you resist, your grip on her arms keeping her at bay. You see the realization dawn in Sevika's eyes as she understands your hesitation. She doesn't speak, doesn't try to persuade you with words. Instead, she simply holds your gaze, her hands loosening their grip but not letting go entirely.
The tension between you is palpable, a living thing that fills the space between your bodies. You can feel it gnawing at you - the fear that she’ll pull away, that this moment will shatter like glass.
Slowly, almost imperceptibly, Sevika's resistance fades. She doesn't try to pull you closer anymore, but she doesn't move away either. She simply kneels there, her head bowed, waiting.
It's this surrender that finally breaks through your defenses. Your hands, which were pushing her away, now tremble as they cup her face. You tilt her chin up, meeting her gaze fully for the first time.
What you see there takes your breath away - it’s a steadfast devotion that silences your doubts. At that moment, you understand that she's not going anywhere.
Your hands finally move, your fingers threading through her hair and letting it fall from its ponytail. The moment you touch her, she lets out a shuddering breath, her body sagging against you as if the weight she’s been carrying has finally become too much.
Sevika sees the hesitation in your gaze, the lingering fear, and something shifts inside her. She surges up, pulling you into a desperate kiss—a plea for you to trust her. The kiss is messy, frantic, filled with the need to feel, to connect, to hold onto something real amidst all this.
You respond immediately, your hands drawing her near—even though parts of you want to stop and shield yourself from the possibility of losing her again, you can’t bring yourself to let go.
Her lips are pressing against yours with a need that makes your heart ache, and you both finally give in to the emotions you’ve been holding back for so long. It’s not like the kiss you’ve shared before—this is different. It’s a commitment to each other that you’ve both been too scared to acknowledge until now.
You both fall back onto the bed, your bodies tangling together as you lose yourselves in each other.
Your hands are never leaving her, your lips never straying too far from hers. Her bionic hand presses into your back gently, pulling you closer until there’s no space left between you and you can feel the steady beat of her heart against your chest.
She suddenly pulls you onto her lap. One hand slides under your shirt, causing a shiver to run down your spine, while the other lingers on the small of your back. With a swift movement, she removes your shirt, leaving you feeling exposed and vulnerable under the moonlight cascading through the window.
A blush creeps up your cheeks at the sudden exposure.
"You're beautiful." The moonlight dances in her eyes and her voice is filled with sincerity and adoration.
Your breath hitches as she leans in and presses a kiss onto your chest, her lips travel lower and lower until she forces a nipple out of your bra. Your gasp quickly turns into a moan as her lips wrap around it and her tongue is swirling, her teeth teasing and biting at the sensitive bud.
Your hands find their way into her hair and shoulders, grasping at something to stabilize a desire that feels like it could push you over the edge. As her lips dance across your neck, her tongue tracing the curve of your jaw, you feel your hips surge forward, seeking the friction that will bring you relief. Your hands, still fisted in her clothes, tug her closer, the fabric straining against the pressure. Sevika's fingers, still tangled in your hair, pull your head back further, exposing your throat to her hungry mouth. Her breath is hot against your skin, sending shivers coursing through your veins. You grind into her fingers, a low, desperate moan builds in your throat, and you hear yourself repeating her name like a mantra.
"Sevika, Sevika, Sevika please."
Your legs tremble as you press into her, the thin fabric of your panties rubbing against her fingers, which are still wrapped around you. The pressure builds, a crescendo of need threatening to consume you whole.
She teases you, her fingers occasionally dipping inside you before pulling back out to rub against your sensitive nub. Each time you’re on the brink of release, she stops and kisses you deeply, driving you crazy with need.
But finally, when you can’t take it any longer, she plunges two fingers inside you. Your fingers dig deep into her shoulder as she sets a steady pace with her fingers, hitting just the right spot inside you that has you writhing in ecstasy.
You’re panting at her touch, your hips bucking into her hand as she moves her fingers in and out of you, her thumb rubbing circles over your clit. Each touch sends jolts of pleasure through your body, making you crave more and more. She whispers sweet words in your ear along with wicked promises that make you wetter than you could imagine.
You grasp the edge of Sevika's shawl, the delicate fabric slipping through your fingers as you slowly pull it away, exposing her bionic arm to you. The shimmering metal catches the dim light of the room, contrasting beautifully with your warm hands. You can’t help but admire the way it seems to glow, each curve and joint blending seamlessly into her skin.
Sevika’s breath hitches at the sight of her exposed arm, and a flicker of vulnerability passes over her face. The vulnerability in her eyes makes you want to show her how incredible she is, and how every part of her makes you feel alive.
You lean closer, your lips brushing softly against her bionic arm, feeling the coolness against your mouth as you press gentle kisses along the sleek surface. It’s smooth, almost soothing, and you feel her relax into your touch. Your breath quickens, merging anticipation and a hunger to worship every part of her.
She changes your positions, laying you down gently on your bed till your head sinks into a plush pillow. You can feel the heat radiating off of her body as she begins to kiss down your body. Her lips leave a trail of fire as they make their way down your stomach until they reach the waistband of your panties. She easily removes them and throws them aside. She starts by lightly kissing and licking your inner thighs, slowly making her way towards your center. You can already feel the heat pooling between your legs as she gets closer and closer to where you want her most. Her gaze locks onto yours as her head hovers over your soaked folds.
“Just focus on me,” her voice comes out hoarse and commanding.
Sevika buries her face between your legs and you gasp at the sudden sensation, gripping the sheets tightly. She flicks and sucks on your clit while slipping a finger inside of you, matching the rhythm of her tongue. There’s a sense of urgency in the way she looks at you – a primal need that mirrors yours perfectly.
Her fingers dig into your thighs, holding you down firmly. You feel yourself getting close, but before you can reach your peak, she stops abruptly.
You whimper in frustration, but it’s quickly replaced with adoration as she climbs up to kiss you, tasting yourself on her lips.
“You got such a pretty body,” She bites teasingly at your ear. “Prettier when it’s a mess for me.”
A course of desire jolts through you at hearing her low and raspy voice whisper those words. Your fingers trace the curve of her shoulder, moving down her arm until you reach her hand. You intertwine your fingers with hers, feeling the coolness of her bionic hand. Sevika blows a hot breath over your glistening mound and you instinctively close your legs around her head.
The room immediately fills with the sound of heavy breathing and the soft, wet noises of skin against skin. Her finger curls inside you, causing your back to arch off the bed in pleasure.
With each thrust and lap of her tongue, she pushes you closer to the edge. You can feel the tension coiling within you—she intensifies her rhythm, sucking and teasing in perfect harmony with your body's responses. The sensations build higher and higher until they finally explode within you.
You release with a loud cry, shuddering in ecstasy as the waves of pleasure wash over you, leaving you breathless and utterly consumed in bliss.
When you finally break apart, it’s only to catch your breath. Your bodies are still tangled together, a sticky, wet mess, but neither of you cares. Sevika holds you tightly, her face buried in the crook of your neck.
The room is bathed in soft, silvery moonlight filtering in through the window. The sounds of your soft breathing fill the space, mingling with the faint rustle of the sheets. Everything feels tender, and fragile, like you’re both holding on to something delicate and precious, something that could shatter with the slightest misstep.
Your fingers trace the scar on Sevika’s cheek, the roughened skin contrasting the softness of her lips. She looks at you, her eyes searching yours as if she’s trying to read the thoughts that you’re too scared to say aloud.
“I don’t want to lose you,” you murmur, your voice trembling with emotion.
“You won’t,” she whispers back, her lips brushing against yours in the softest of kisses.
“Promise me..” Your voice falters, struggling to grasp the idea of not being able to feel her, see her, or touch her like this again. “I don’t know how to exist without you.”
“I’d spend the rest of my days searching,” Sevika replies quietly, her gaze unwavering. “Even just for the chance of seeing you again.”
She cups your face with one hand, her thumb brushing gently over your cheek. “I’ll always find my way back to you.”
You rest your head on her chest, listening to the steady rhythm of her heart, the sound soothing in a way you hadn’t realized you needed. Your fingers trace gentle patterns on her skin and a quiet peace settles over you, a sense of calm that you haven’t felt in what seems like forever.
As you lie there, holding each other in the darkness, the world outside seems to fade into insignificance. You close your eyes, letting yourself finally rest, knowing that she’s here with you, that you’re both in this together. It’s a fragile peace, but it’s yours, and in this moment, it’s more than enough.

One Year Later…
The kitchen glows in the warm light, sunlight streaming through the window and illuminating the marble countertops. The sweet aroma of cinnamon and vanilla fills the air as you stir a pot of rice pudding on the stove.
Ren bursts into the kitchen, twirling in her new outfit - a pretty blue dress with matching ribbons in her hair. "Look!" she exclaims, eyes shining with excitement.
You smile warmly. "You look beautiful, honey. Are you ready for dinner at Vander's?"
Ren nods enthusiastically. "Can I go over early? Please?"
"Of course," you reply, giving her a quick hug. "I'll see you there in a bit."
You watch her go, a fond smile lingering on your lips. Ren has become such a central part of your life, switching between living with you and Sevika, and some nights, staying over at Vander’s with the rest of your family. Dinners at Vander’s have also become a tradition, starting as a semblance of normality for the kids until you realize that sometimes everyone just needed a family meal too.
You turn back to your work, carefully measuring out the sugar to add to the pudding. You’re so focused on getting everything just right that you don’t notice when Sevika slips into the kitchen. She moves quietly, her steps almost soundless as she approaches the stove. It’s only when you glance up and see her broad back that you realize she’s there, her figure blocking the light from the window.
"Hey, you're home," you start to say, but then you spot the spoon in her mouth. "Sev!" you exclaim. "I'm not done with that!"
Sevika turns, the spoon still between her lips. "Tastes good," she mumbles around it, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
“It’s supposed to taste good when it’s finished,” you retort, gently pushing her away from the stove.
Suddenly, you feel Sevika's arms encircle your waist, her body warm against your back. She nuzzles into your neck, placing a soft kiss just below your ear. "Mmm," she hums, "doesn’t taste as good as you, though."
“Don’t think you can sweet-talk me into letting you try more,” you say, trying to stay focused despite the distraction she’s providing.
She chuckles again, her deep voice rumbling against your back. “Can’t blame a girl for trying.”
You smile, the familiar banter easing you into a comfortable lull. The gentle pressure of her arms around you, the way she’s so casually affectionate now, fills you with warmth.
"Hey, did you bring home any fruit for the pudding?" you ask, turning in Sevika's arms.
You feel her tense slightly, her smile faltering. "We’re having a bit of a dry season," she says, her tone careful.
The words hang heavy in the air. You know the reality - supplies have been tight lately, with produce struggling to grow and the scavenging teams venturing further each time.
Before you can dwell on it further, Sevika leans in to kiss you, clearly trying to change the subject. But as she does, you catch a whiff of something less than pleasant, and you instinctively pull back, wrinkling your nose.
"Babe, you fucking stink," you blurt out.
Sevika's eyes goes wide in shock, then narrows playfully. "Oh, really?" she growls, trying to pull you closer.
You dance out of her grasp.“Go start a bath,” you say between giggles. “I’ll join you in a bit, okay?”
She lets out a noise of disapproval but obeys regardless. “I wasn’t that bad,” she mutters as she turns toward the bathroom.
“Yes, you were,” you call after her, still grinning as you watch her go. “Go on, I’ll be there soon.”
With Sevika finally convinced, you head to your bedroom to grab some towels.
The bedroom has changed over the past year, becoming more of a shared space than it ever was before. Sevika's red shawl drapes over the back of a chair, while your jewelry glitters on the dresser. The wall above the bed is adorned with colorful drawings - Ren's artwork, depicting your entire makeshift family, the sight of it never failing to warm your heart.
It had started casually enough - a few items of clothing left behind after hurried encounters, a toothbrush appearing in the bathroom. You and Sevika were sneaking around, stealing moments together whenever you could.
When you finally told your family about your relationship, they celebrated, of course. It wasn’t a surprise to them—they had seen the way you and Sevika gravitated toward each other, the looks you reserved solely for one another. You found yourself practically living at Sevika's, though neither of you had officially acknowledged the change.
Then came the day you noticed the difference in her dresser. The already sparse drawers had been reorganized, creating a dedicated space just for you. Your scattered belongings were neatly arranged, claiming their place in Sevika's life.
You remember standing there, staring at that drawer, your heart swelling with emotion. It was such a small gesture, but it spoke volumes. Sevika, always more comfortable with actions than words, had found her way of saying "stay".
A small smile forms on your lips at the memory as you close the closet. Gathering the towels, you head towards the sound of running water.
You settle onto the stool beside the bathtub, watching Sevika relax in the warm, soapy water. Her broad shoulders peek out from the bubbles, her head tilted back slightly as she rests, eyes half-closed in contentment. The sight of her—this tough, unbreakable woman— soaking in the bath like she has nowhere else to be, makes you giggle.
"You look adorable."
Sevika cracks one eye open, giving you a playful glare that’s nowhere near as intimidating as she probably hopes it’ll be. "I’m not adorable," she grumbles.
You reach for a washcloth, gently running it over her back. Your fingers work out the knots in her muscles, and you feel her relax under your touch. The bathroom is quiet except for the soft lapping of water and Sevika's contented sighs.
"Don't get me wet, Sev," you warn as she shifts in the tub.
“I thought I always did,” she shoots back with a sly grin, and before you can react, she splashes a handful of water at you.
The warm water hits you square in the chest, soaking your shirt. You let out a small gasp, and Sevika just laughs, clearly pleased with herself.
“Now I’ve got no choice but to join you, huh?” you say, feigning annoyance as you peel off your damp clothes.
Sevika's arms wrap around you as you settle between her legs, your back pressed against her chest. "No funny business," you remind her. "We've got dinner later."
She groans, burying her face in your neck. "Do we have to do that?"
You intertwine your fingers with hers, squeezing gently. "Yes, we all need it. Even you, Miss Grumpy."
Sevika huffs, but doesn't argue further. It's rare to see her act so petulant, and you can't help but find it endearing. You lean back further into her embrace, savoring the warmth of her skin against yours.
A chuckle escapes you as a memory surfaces.
"What's so funny?" Sevika murmurs against your ear.
"I'm thinking about us," you reply, still grinning. "Remember the first time you came to family dinner?"
Sevika groans again, this time in embarrassment. That first dinner had been spectacularly awkward. Sevika, sitting at Vander’s table, towering over everyone, her presence so imposing that no one knew how to break the ice. You could feel the discomfort radiating from the others as they tried and failed to strike up conversation. Sevika, never much of a talker herself, hadn’t made it any easier.
"I thought Caitlyn was going to have an aneurysm trying to make conversation," you laugh.
"She kept asking about the weather," Sevika recalls. "As if we don't all live in the same damn place."
“But my family loves you now.”
Sevika raises an eyebrow. “They’re still nervous around me though.”
“True,” you admit, chuckling. “But now they know you’re not going to kill them if they say the wrong thing. Well, most of them know that, anyway.”
”I like to keep them on their toes.” Sevika smirks, her lips brushing against your neck. “Can’t let them forget who I am.”
You turn in her arms, facing her now. "I don’t think they would be as afraid if they saw you in a bubble bath right now."
She narrows her eyes at you. "I’m still scary."
"Is that so?" you challenge, your faces inches apart.
Instead of answering, Sevika closes the distance between you, capturing your lips in a kiss. You sigh into it, brushing a damp strand of hair behind her ear.
You're nestled against Sevika, the warm water lulling you into a peaceful state when a sharp knock shatters the moment.
"Who the hell..." She's about to call out, likely with some choice words, when a familiar voice filters through the door.
"Sevika? You in there?"
It's Ran. Sevika's expression immediately hardens.
She gives you an apologetic look as she carefully extracts herself from the tub, wrapping a towel around her body. You remain in the bath, straining to hear the muffled conversation. Snippets reach your ears—"Silco... needs to see you... scouts..."
By the time you've dried off and dressed, Sevika is already changed, her face grim. She's heading for the door, and you follow.
Out on the streets, the usual bustle of Zaun seems subdued. Sevika turns to you, her eyes softening slightly.
"It's just a quick meeting," she assures you, though her tone lacks conviction. "I'll be back, okay?"
You look at her, worry evident in your gaze. She must see it because she adds, "Family dinner is still on. I promise."
You watch Sevika disappear down the street, her words echoing in your mind. Despite her assurances, you can't shake the feeling of unease that settles in your chest. Instead of heading home, your feet carry you to a familiar path.
The old target practice area comes into view, untouched since Grayson's passing. The targets are weathered now, the paint faded and peeling. You moved the practice area after... after everything, but this place still holds a piece of history you can’t forget.
You settle onto the worn bench, you could almost hear Grayson's patient voice, the sound of gunfire. Now it's quiet, a ghost of what it used to be.
Lost in thought, you barely notice the approaching footsteps until a shadow falls across you.
"Quite the view from up here, isn't it?"
A man’s voice cuts through your reverie. You look up to see him, his usual sly smile in place.
"Mind if I join you?" He doesn't wait for an answer before settling onto the bench beside you.
“What do you want, Finn?” you ask, your guard instantly up.
“Just wanted a place to admire Zaun,” he replies. "It’s getting a bit crowded down there.”
You remain silent, wary of engaging. Instead, you’re both gazing out over Zaun—The community sprawls below, a patchwork of light and shadow.
"You know," Finn begins, his voice casual, "I used to come up here sometimes, watch Grayson train the new recruits. She had a way about her, didn't she? A real vision for what Zaun could be."
You nod, unsure where he's going with this.
Finn continues, his tone thoughtful. "Things have changed a lot since then. More people, less space. Resources getting tighter." He glances at you sideways. "Makes you wonder what Grayson would think of it all."
There's something in his voice that puts you on edge, a subtle challenge. You choose your words carefully. "Grayson always believed in Zaun's potential."
"Ah, but potential for what?" Finn leans in conspiratorially. "It looks like things are starting to fray at the edges. People are getting restless, hungry. And when that happens… well, who knows what might come next?"
You feel a surge of anger, but you keep it in check, refusing to let him get under your skin. “Zaun’s strong,” you say firmly. “So if you’re trying to stir up trouble, you can take it somewhere else.”
Finn holds up his hands in a placating gesture. "Of course, of course. I'm just thinking about the future, you know? But hey, I'm sure Silco's got it all figured out."
Finn stands, brushing off his pants. "Give my regards to Sevika," he says lightly.
"Tell her... we're all counting on her to keep us safe."
⁺˚⋆。°✩
You and Sevika walk side by side through the bustling streets of Zaun, the rice pudding cradled carefully in Sevika’s arms. As you approach the door, you can already hear the sounds of laughter and chatter from inside. Before you can even step over the threshold, a blur of blue barrels into view.
Just as Powder rounds the corner, she nearly collides with you, her eyes wide as she skids to a halt. “Oops, sorry!” she exclaims, a sheepish grin spreading across her face as she steadies herself. “Sorry, double for last time,” she adds with a knowing look.
It had been a few weeks ago, when Sevika was trying to grow out her hair, a fact she was oddly self-conscious about. You guys were standing in the courtyard, watching as Powder excitedly showed off her new contraption, a slime trap shooter she cobbled together from spare parts.
The demonstration started off well enough, but suddenly a glob of viscous slime shot out wildly, landing with a wet splat right in Sevika's hair.
Powder's enthusiasm instantly turned into fear as she realized what she's done. The look on Sevika’s face had been priceless—a mix of surprise and horror as she reached up to touch the mess clinging to her hair.
“I’m gonna kill that kid,” Sevika grumbled, her voice low and menacing. “My hair looks like shit.”
You’d barely managed to suppress your laughter when it first happened, but now in Vander’s bathroom you couldn’t hide your amusement.
“So, that’s a no on having kids, then?” you joked as you reached for a pair of scissors to help trim the slime-covered strands.
Sevika had turned to look at you, her expression one of shock and something else—something deeper that neither of you had wanted to confront. It was just a small joke, but it carried the weight of a conversation you hadn’t yet had, and might never have. Sometimes, you couldn’t avoid the fact that this was it for you two.
But you quickly brushed it aside, focusing on the task at hand. As you carefully trimmed the damaged hair, you leaned in close, whispering in Sevika’s ear, “You’re sexy already. No amount of slime will change that.”
That had earned you a reluctant smile from her in that moment.
"No harm done.” You tell Powder, inconspicuously kicking Sevika’s feet to agree.
“Yeah.” She grunts, and you hold in a snicker at the obvious grudge she held.
As you enter the kitchen, you're greeted by the sight of Vander attempting to wrangle a massive pot of stew.
“There you two are,” Vander says, looking up from his cooking. “Thought you might’ve gotten lost on the way here.”
“Not a chance,” Sevika replies, setting the rice pudding down on the counter with a grin. “This one would never forgive me if I missed dinner.”
“Damn right,” you reply. “You need any help, Vander?”
“Nah, we’re about done here,” Vander says, wiping his hands on a towel. “Just need to get everything into the living room. You know how these animals are when they’re hungry.”
You laugh, grabbing a tray of bread rolls while Sevika grabs a platter of roasted vegetables. She follows you out into the living room, where the rest of the group is already making themselves comfortable. Ekko is lounging on the floor, watching Powder and Ren as they buzz around him. Caitlyn and Vi are chatting quietly in one corner, Vi’s arm casually draped over the back of Caitlyn’s chair.
“Hey you two,” you greet, setting the tray down on a table near the center of the room. “Food’s here.”
Vi reaches for a roll, and Caitlyn swats her hand. "Wait for everyone, you brute," she says affectionately.
"Come on, cupcake, I'm starving!" Vi whines dramatically.
Soon, everyone settles in various spots around the room, grabbing plates and piling on food. Vander passes around mugs of ale, the rich, amber liquid sloshing slightly as he hands it to the adults.
Sevika sits down beside you on the floor, her back against the couch, and you hand her a plate, watching as she loads it up with a bit of everything. Powder's regaling everyone with a tale of her latest explosive experiment, complete with dramatic reenactments.
"You guys won't believe what I made today!" She exclaims, barely touching her food as she launches into her story. "So I took some wires from that old TV we found, and I connected them to a car battery. Then I rigged up this pressure plate..."
"And then - BOOM!" she exclaims, throwing her arms wide and nearly knocking over Ekko's plate.
"Watch it, Pow," Ekko grumbles, but there's no real annoyance in his voice.
The two of you eat in comfortable silence for a while, the sounds of laughter and conversation filling the room around you. As the meal winds down, Powder's eyes light up with a new idea. She bounds over to you and Sevika.
"Hey, hey! You guys wanna play Nerf guns with us?" she asks, her eyes wide and pleading.
Sevika raises an eyebrow.
"I modified them. They shoot further now, and I added a cool light-up feature, and-"
"Modified?" Sevika interrupts, looking slightly alarmed, she was already thinking about the last mishap with Powder’s “modifications”.
You laugh at the expression on Sevika's face, she couldn’t hide the suspicion and concern written all over it. "Come on, Sev," you nudge. "Could be fun."
Powder's practically bouncing now. "Please? Pretty please? I promise there’s no slime this time!"
Sevika sighs. "Fine." she concedes.
"Yes!" Powder cheers. "You won't regret it!"
Powder herds you, Sevika, Ekko, and Ren onto the couch, squishing you all together as she stands before you, eyes gleaming with excitement.
“Alright, listen up!” Powder announces, pulling out a set of nerf guns. The colorful plastic weapons are covered in stickers and doodles, clearly customized to her liking. She hands one to each of you.
Sevika takes hers with a skeptical look, turning it over in her hands. “You can’t shoot shit with this,” she mutters, the derision clear in her voice.
“Oh, yeah?” Powder smirks, clearly prepared for this. She whirls around, aims at a water bottle perched on the windowsill, and fires. The nerf dart flies across the room and smacks the bottle dead center, sending it tumbling to the floor with a satisfying thud.
Sevika raises an eyebrow, impressed despite herself.
“Now that we’ve established these aren’t toys for babies,” Powder continues, pacing in front of the couch. “here’s the game: upstairs, there’s a crown stashed somewhere by Vi. The goal is to retrieve the crown and bring it to Vander downstairs. Upstairs is a no-shoot zone, but downstairs, if you’re hit with a dart, you’re out.”
She claps her hands together, clearly relishing her role as the game master. "Now, we need to split into teams," Powder continues. "Sevika and Ekko, you're one team. And-"
You all glance at Ren, the youngest of the group at just eight years old. There's a moment of awkward silence as everyone tries to figure out how to handle this diplomatically.
"You should take her," you say sweetly.
Sevika’s eyes narrow playfully, already sensing where this is going. “The kid likes you more." Despite being dubious of the game at first, you could tell Sevika’s competitiveness was taking over.
“I thought this was just a kids’ game?” you tease, leaning in slightly with a raised eyebrow.
Sevika gives you a sheepish look, clearly caught between her competitive streak and her soft spot for Ren.
Feeling a bit guilty, you suggest, "Why don't we let Ren pick?"
Ren beams up at both of you, clearly delighted to have the choice. "I wanna be on your team!" she exclaims, pointing at you and Powder.
“You’re gonna be our secret weapon,” you whisper, wrapping an arm around Ren’s shoulders.
“Alright then,” Ekko chimes in, finally managing to free himself from the couch. “Let’s do this.”
Everyone grabs their nerf guns and heads outside. You can't help but chuckle at the sight of Sevika, usually so intimidating, clutching a bright orange plastic gun with a determined look on her face.
"Alright, teams start at opposite ends of the house," Powder instructs. "When I give the signal, the hunt begins!"
You crouch behind a bush with Powder and Ren, all of you trying (and failing) to look serious with your toy weapons.
"Ready?" Powder calls out. "Set... GO!"
And with that, you all come barreling into the house. Powder darts ahead, her movements quick and erratic. You follow, trying to keep an eye on Ren while scanning for potential ambush spots.
As you round a corner, you come face to face with Sevika. For a moment, you both freeze, nerf guns pointed at each other.
"Sorry, babe," you say, not sorry at all as you pull the trigger.
But Sevika's reflexes are faster. She ducks, the foam dart whizzing over her head, and returns fire. You barely dodge, and you take the moment to sneak onto the stairs.
Upstairs, you quickly begin your search, darting in and out of rooms, peeking under beds and behind curtains for any sign of the hidden crown. Ren’s small size gives her an advantage as she slips into tight spots that you and Powder can’t quite reach.
But despite your efforts, it was nowhere to be found. "How?" you mutter, bewildered.
Powder's eyes narrow, scanning the area. "Ekko," she hisses, pointing to an open window. "He must've climbed up from outside!"
Quickly, you formulate a plan. Ren is dispatched to keep watch with Vander, ensuring Ekko can't make a sneaky victory while you and Powder hunt down Sevika and Ekko.
With that, you guys head back downstairs, moving quietly as you scan the house for any signs of the other team. As you move through the house, you and Powder eventually decide to split up, hoping to cover more ground.
It doesn’t take long before you spot Sevika, her broad frame moving stealthily through the hallway. She hasn’t seen you yet, and you quickly close the distance, pressing yourself against the wall to remain hidden. When she finally turns the corner, you’re right there, catching her off guard.
“Drop the gun,” you command, your voice low and teasing as you pin her against the wall, your body pressing into hers. Sevika’s eyes widen in surprise, her hands instinctively going up in mock surrender, though there’s a glint of amusement in her gaze.
“And what if I don’t?” she murmurs, her lips quirking into a playful smile.
“Then I’ll have to make you,” you reply, your tone equally flirtatious as you lean in closer, the game momentarily forgotten.
"Ewww, get a room!" Ekko's voice breaks the spell. You spin around to find Ekko aiming at you, the crown tucked under his arm.
But before you can react, Powder emerges from a doorway behind Ekko, her nerf gun raised and ready. Without missing a beat, she fires a dart that hits Ekko square in the back. “Gotcha!” she shouts triumphantly.
Ekko’s eyes widen in shock as he instinctively drops the crown, clutching his back where the dart hit. “Hey, what the fuck, Powder?!” he exclaims, his tone incredulous.
“Language, Ekko!” Vander’s voice booms from the kitchen, echoing through the house.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Sevika quickly knocks the nerf gun out of your hand. But before she can fully capitalize on her victory, you kick the crown down the hallway, sending it skittering toward the kitchen.
“Move kid!” Sevika barks as she grabs Ekko by the arm, dragging him behind a couch. Ekko, still nursing his mock wound, yells out dramatically, “Man down! Man down!”
There's a moment of tense silence, then Ekko's voice pipes up again. "I'm getting healed by a health kit!"
“What the hell?” Powder says with a look of utter disbelief. “There’s no health kit in this game!”
"Yeah, 'cause I took it!" Ekko retorts, popping up from behind the couch and unleashing a barrage of foam darts.
The living room erupts into chaos. You dive behind an armchair, Powder taking cover behind another couch. Foam darts fly in every direction, peppering the air with colorful streaks.
You peek out, catching Sevika's eye across the room. She winks at you before ducking to avoid a well-aimed shot from Powder.
"Cover me!" you shout to Powder, making a dash for the hallway where the crown disappeared.
Ekko leaps over the couch, trying to intercept you. "Oh no, you don't!" he yells, unleashing a volley of darts in your direction.
You slide across the hardwood floor, narrowly avoiding his attack. Sevika provides covering fire for Ekko, keeping Powder pinned down.
As you scramble to your feet at the kitchen entrance, ready to grab the crown and make a triumphant dash to Vander, you freeze. The crown is gone.
A throat clears behind you. You turn to see Vander, sitting calmly at the kitchen table. Beside him stands Ren, a victorious grin on her face and the crown placed neatly on Vander's head.
The chaos in the living room dies down as everyone realizes what's happened. Ren's giggles fill the sudden silence.
"I believe," Vander says, his eyes twinkling with amusement, "that we have a winner."
For a moment, you're all too stunned to speak. Then Powder bursts out laughing, followed quickly by Ekko. Soon, you're all in stitches, the absurdity of the situation hitting you all at once.
As you catch your breath, you feel Sevika's arm wrap around your waist. "Can’t believe we were outsmarted by an eight-year-old," she murmurs in your ear.
You lean into her, watching as Vander lifts Ren onto his shoulders, parading her around the kitchen as the victor. Ekko and Powder are already arguing about a rematch and new teammates for next time.
As the excitement of the game winds down, Vander glances at the clock. "It's getting late."
You nod in agreement, glancing over at Ren. “Do you want to stay at Powder’s or with us tonight?”
Ren's eyes light up. "Stay with Powder!" she exclaims without hesitation.
Before you can even respond, Powder and Ekko are already shepherding Ren up the stairs, their voices a jumble of excited plans for a sleepover.
Caitlyn and Vi exchange a knowing look. "Ooh, you two are finally getting some alone time," Vi teases with a wink.
You feel your cheeks flush with embarrassment, but Sevika seems unfazed.
"So, how are those new recruits doing on the walls? Getting the hang of things?" You ask, trying to get the attention off you.
Caitlyn's face does a complicated dance between diplomacy and honesty. "Well, they're... enthusiastic."
Vi snorts, unable to contain herself. "Come on, cupcake. Tell 'em the truth."
Caitlyn's facade cracks. "Alright, fine. Their aim is absolutely atrocious. I've never seen so many missed targets in my life. We had one recruit who managed to shoot his own hat off."
You all burst out laughing, the mental image too ridiculous to resist.
Vander shakes his head. "Everyday I’m thankful that’s not me, I'm getting too old for that kind of headache."
Sevika raises an eyebrow at him. "Not too old to keep experimenting with your homebrews though, are you?"
You all laugh at that. It's true - besides overseeing the community's agriculture, Vander's taken to crafting various meads and ales in his spare time.
"I'll have you know that my brewing skills only improve with age, unlike my patience," Vander puffs up his chest in mock indignation. “And I'm taking back the ale from tonight, can't have you lot disparaging my other talents.”
Vi grins. "C'mon, Vander. You know the community needs that alcohol. How else are we supposed to cope with Powder's 'experiments'?"
This sets off another round of laughter, but your conversation is suddenly interrupted when Ren comes downstairs, looking shy and hesitant.
"What's wrong, sweetie?"
Sevika seems to understand before you do, her voice softening as she reaches out to Ren. “Come on, kid. Let’s get you tucked in.”
The three of you make your way upstairs, the house now quiet as the night settles in. Ren leads you to the bedroom she’s sharing with Powder and Ekko.
Sevika moves to the bed, pulling back the covers and helping Ren climb in. Ren looks up at you both, her eyes wide and a little sad, as Sevika tucks the blankets around her snugly. “Can you get it?” Ren asks quietly.
You follow her gaze to the small play tent in the corner of the room, where she likes to spend her time during the day. You walk over, crouching down to peer inside, and that’s when you see it—peeking out from under a pile of toys. Your breath hitches as you recognize it instantly: Grayson’s yellow armband.
You carefully pull it out, the fabric worn but still vibrant, and bring it over to Ren. She takes it from you, her small hands wrapping around the band as if it’s the most precious thing in the world. “I miss her,” she whispers.
Your heart breaks at the sight of her holding onto that small piece of Grayson. You kneel beside the bed, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. “I know, honey,” you say softly. “We all miss her. But she’s always with us, in here.” You gently place a hand over Ren’s heart, offering her a comforting smile.
Ren nods and she clutches the armband tightly, her grip strong for someone so small. Sevika’s expression is unreadable, a mix of emotions flashing across her face as she watches the scene unfold.
After a few moments, Ren’s eyelids start to droop, exhaustion finally taking over. You lean down, pressing a gentle kiss to Ren’s forehead. “Goodnight sweetie,” you whisper.
You and Sevika quietly bid Ekko and Powder goodnight as well, sharing a few last words before heading back downstairs. The house is much quieter now, the energy from earlier having dissipated into a peaceful calm. You say your goodbyes to Vander, Caitlyn, and Vi, thanking them for the evening.
As you step out into the cool night air, the streets of Zaun are mostly quiet. Sevika’s hand finds yours, her grip warm and comforting. “You okay?” she asks.
You nod, though your mind is still on Ren and the armband. “Yeah,” you say softly, squeezing her hand. “It’s just… it’s hard sometimes, you know? Seeing how much she misses Grayson.”
Sevika doesn’t respond right away, but you feel her thumb brushing gently over your knuckles, a silent gesture of understanding. “She’s a tough kid,” she finally says. “She’s more resilient than we think.”
You wordlessly agree, falling into a comfortable silence as you guys listen to the hum of the surrounding houses and your footsteps on the pavement. For a while, neither of you speak, simply enjoying the quiet together.
You find yourself stealing glances at Sevika, admiring her profile in the dim light. She catches you looking and raises an eyebrow, a small smirk playing at the corner of her lips. You playfully bump your shoulder against hers, and she returns the gesture, a bit harder.
You smile, a soft chuckle escaping your lips as you bump her again, just to see what she’ll do.
Sevika doesn’t say anything, but you can see the corner of her mouth twitching upward, that almost-smile that she gets when she’s trying to keep her cool but failing just a bit. She bumps you back, a little more firmly this time, and you laugh, the sound light and carefree in the stillness of the night.
You nudge her again, and this time, she stops walking altogether. Before you can react, she grabs your hand, pulling you toward her with a gentle but firm tug. The sudden movement catches you off guard, and you stumble slightly, your hands instinctively reaching out to steady yourself.
But Sevika’s already there, her strong arms wrapping around you, holding you close. There’s a brief moment where you just look at each other, the playful teasing of earlier fading into something softer, more intimate. The distance between you disappears, and you feel the warmth of her body against yours, the steady rise and fall of her chest as she breathes.
She doesn’t say anything—doesn’t need to. The look in her eyes, the way she’s holding you, it says it all.
Without a word, she leans down, her lips brushing against yours in a kiss. It’s sweet and gentle, and it fills you with a warmth that spreads through your chest, making you feel like you could stay here forever, wrapped up in this simple, perfect moment.
You melt into the kiss, your hand sliding from her shoulder to the nape of her neck.
When she finally pulls back, it’s only by a fraction, her forehead resting against yours as she breathes out a soft sigh. You can't resist leaning in to place another quick kiss on her lips, delighting in the way it makes her smile.
"What was that for?" you ask softly, not that you're complaining.
"Do I need a reason?" she asks, her voice husky but tender.
You shake your head, smiling. "Definitely not. Feel free to do that anytime."
She chuckles softly, pulling you close as you resume your walk home. Her arm wraps securely around your waist, and you lean into her, feeling safe and cherished.

Anymore thoughts on the baby gyomei au? Such a cute baby :(( Specifically how Kagaya acts with him? Or how he acts with any of the baby Aus. He just loves his children :(
anon im so sorry this took forever i was trying to put everyrhing to words… yes i have so many thoughts about gyomei!!
gyomei in the tiny 21 trio au [ #tiny 21 trio au ]
- father slash genuine
- he’s distant at first but the longer they’re little and the more they struggle he pitches in. his anxiety with being around children slowly disappears and suddenly hes got an extreme case of baby fever
- if the babies are all upset they are taken to gyomei and gyomei Always cheers them right up
- it gets to a point where the babies regularly ask for gyomei, though they refer to him as papa. insert them wailing and babbling begging to see their papa because its been a couple days and they miss him
- if the others cannot give the babies their papa, they get their big brothers instead (genya/tanjiro/muichiro or rengoku)
- gyomei is constantly in tears whenever they’re in baby mode around him
- because obanai squeaks and mewls like a kitten, gyomei refers to him as his “baby cat” … obanai clings onto him and can usually be seen snuggled up to his collarbone
- sanemi is a little terror until it comes to gyomei. he respects gyomei too much
- gyomei sleeps next to the crib. always. he hears the smallest sound and hes shooting up to make sure they’re okay
baby gyomei au [ #baby gyomei au ]
- his memories are all in tact and hes familiar with whats going on
- hes very cooperative and easy. he knows he’s in good hands so he abides by everything and tries to make taking care of him as simple as possible while sort of treating this as a “vacation”
- kagaya is alarmed and worried at first, because oh god the strongest hashira is now a little younger than a year… but he falls victim to the charm of baby gyomei
- gyomei is super sensitive and gentle. he goes “uhhmm…” a lot when he’s thinking, and likes to pet at his own head to try and get his bangs out of his eyes, since he’s not used to the longer hair
- very sensitive to loud sounds. half the time he starts bawling is because he was startled by something/someone
- muichiro and genya regularly fight over who gets to babysit
- muichiro almost always wins
- gyomei will just sit there listening to their banter and remind himself hes on vacation and only get involved if it actually gets serious (it never does)
- he’s a little embarrassed abt the whole situation but everyones really nice about it. nobody teases him (because its Gyomei) and everyone’s super respectful and always makes sure he’s doing okay
- muichiro gets upset whenever gyomei is taken from him
- gyomeo gets upset whenever he is taken from muichiro
- gyomeis favorite toy is a plush calico kitty that muichiro gifted him. he calls it “mew mew” (he calls muichiro ‘mew mew’ too)
- tengen is very excited about being the eldest and coos and coddles the little guy. gyomei is a little exasperated but he’s just happy tengen’s happy
- he has nightmares a lot, so he never sleeps alone
attaching my favorite baby gyomei doodle ever i like it a lot… look at him. fun fact his bangs are similar to muichiro’s. i like their family relationship a lot

Day Three- Reunion (Modern)
Lu Legend x Ravio (Ravioli)
Summary: Ravio has been off on a business trip with Hilda for a month now, and Legend has been getting lonely. Now he's coming back- right on the day of the chain’s jazz band performance.
Word Count: 6,911 (This is a long one)
Warnings: If you read my first fic, you know I don’t swear but it’s there for the vibe; Legend has anxiety, Legend has a flashback in a flashback involving non graphic stab wounds and a reference to his dead uncle, improper use of a trumpet spit valve, Fable is a menace, Four has to deal with her, author has several agendas and she is pushing ALL of them today, fluff at the end, super über long fic
A/N (Please read this, it's important): I'm back! I procrastinated this one for way too long, but I finally finished it! I somehow also managed to finish day four and five before this one, so those will also be posted with this. Go check them out here and here!
…Anyways, it's time for me to come clean. I'm a band kid. And a proud one, too. I saw this post and went absolutely nuts, so of course I had to write about a jazz band au. Give the post some love (since op is inactive) because most of it was the basis for this au.
Important part: The last song they play in this fic is “Want You Gone” by the 8-Bit Big Band, feat. Benny Benack III, and I suggest you listen to it! The lyrics are hilarious but if you don’t listen to it before the fic itself you’ll get lost very easily. If you see any music words you’re unfamiliar with, either throw me an ask or you can look it up on your browser. Sorry for the long note; I hope you enjoy!
----
Good news: We’re on our way back! We’ll be home by the twenty-third.
We have a performance that day.
I won’t see you.
I can drop in. Don’t worry! We’ll make it, I promise.
Alright. Love you.
I love you too, Link.
“Texting your boyfriend?” Fable chirped.
Legend jumped, shielding his phone and glaring at his sister. “None of your business,” he spat.
Fable grinned, toying with the reed in her fingers. “You sure you don’t have that message memorized?”
“Shut up,” he hissed.
Wind blew into his trombone, imitating a wolf-whistle while wiggling his eyebrows. Legend snorted. “Real mature, Sailor.”
Sky paused the plucking of his bass’s strings, his eyes flicking from his tuner to Legend as his brows furrowed. “Isn’t he coming back today?”
“Yep,” Fable trilled gleefully. “And Legend is beside himself with lovesickness!”
“Fable!” Legend growled. Great goddesses, could she be any more insufferable?
Well, apparently she could. “His lonely heart, separated from his lover for what seemed like years,” she sighed, swooning dramatically. “Tonight they'll reunite in a passionate embrace, proclaiming their love to-”
Twilight appeared from behind her and swatted her upside the head. “Leave ‘im alone,” he chided. While Fable scampered away, giggling, he tossed a tiny bottle to Wind, who snatched it out of the air. “Slide grease.”
“Thanks, Rancher.” Wind saluted.
“Anything you two need?” Twilight asked, looking at Sky and Legend. Both shook their heads.
“Hey, Twilight!” Four sauntered up to the small gathering, tenor sax slung over his shoulder by the strap. “We need cork grease over here.” He blinked at Legend and pointed out needlessly, “Your face is red. You okay?”
Legend didn't think his face could heat any further. He was wrong. “I'm fine,” he muttered.
“He's just madly in love,” Wind said mischievously. Both Fable and Sky snickered. He glared at them, Sky in particular. I thought better of you, bird boy.
Four's lips twitched upwards in a smirk. “Ah. This is about Ravio.”
Legend dropped his head into his hands with a groan. Fable, for some bizarre reason that Legend couldn't place, thought this was hilarious, and cackled.
“Reign it in, loverboy.” Four leaned against the wall. “You still need to warm up, and no one likes to hold a cold hand.”
Legend kicked at his knee. “Watch it,” he threatened, “Or I'll make your lifespan as short as you are.”
A chorus of “oohs” sounded around the room. Four chuckled, patting him on the shoulder. “Cheer up. You'll get your kisses soon.”
Fable howled hysterically, slapping her thigh. Legend could feel how red his face was as Four ran through the smuggest scale he had ever heard. It wasn't even that witty, but Wind was still squeaking like a chipmunk, and of course Sky snorted. Twilight at least was trying his hardest to appear indifferent, but Legend knew how hard it was to keep one's composure when Fable leans on you for support while wheezing directly in your ear.
“Ledge!” Wars hollered from backstage. “Get your sorry backside over here; I want to run through this song with you.”
Legend aimed one last petty kick at Four before standing. He hefted his case and stomped off, pointedly ignoring the way Fable pretended to faint into a scandalized Twilight's arms, crying, “Save me, Mister Hero!”
That shook him more than he'd have liked to admit. He bit his tongue to keep from throttling Fable for making fun of Ravio. Well, even if she hadn't mocked him, he still would've done it. And she still would've deserved it.
Wars watched him approach, his expression neutral. Legend thrust open his case aggressively and jammed the various pieces together. His jaw was tense and he avoided Wars’ gaze.
“Careful,” his brother commented. “You'll scratch her.”
Legend exhaled a controlled breath and quelled the ache in his gut that shouldn't exist in the first place. He suffocated it with thoughts of flats and sharps, of staccatos and tenudos, of the cool metal on his lips and fingertips, and of the notes both painted on the page and burned into his very soul. It was a familiar ritual that helped ease a bit of himself into the music, breathing color into the diverse melodies, rhythms, and even his brothers. It never failed, even when Fable did it with him.
Until today.
Somehow, his thoughts still circled back to his blasted boyfriend. His cheery grin had that same brightness as the sheen on his trumpet. His eyes danced with the same mischief that Sky eased from his bass. His arms would envelop him, soothing in a way that reminded him of playing with his brothers and sister. His tears spoke the same words as an instrument in need of care: always frustrated with himself and never anyone else. His hands- they shook before adversity. Just how Legend's own trembled right then, his mind's eye suddenly brimming with images of hundreds of people, Ravio in the midst of them, staring unsympathetically as his fingers stuttered.
Legend cursed, his hands dropping to his sides. He flattened himself against the wall, sinking to the floor. Hylia, he could already tell he was going to mess up badly. He had practiced these songs with the others for weeks, and it was about to mean nothing. To make matters worse, he had a solo. Not any old solo, either, but an improvised solo. Improvising solos was nothing new to him. This stabbing pain was new. It twisted at his heart like a common school bully to a poor victim's shirt. Loneliness (And yes, Farore strike him down, but Fable was right. He was lonely.) had him at its mercy. And now, Ravio was so close. Legend was going to fumble the solo in front of him, and that fear alone blurred his thoughts until he couldn't discern one tangled bundle of nerves from another.
Wars sat down next to him. He laid a hand on Legend's shoulder and asked softly, “Do you want to talk about it?”
Legend shook his head hopelessly. There was nothing he could say that Fable hadn't said already. Besides, with how Wars fixed him with those knowing eyes, he understood better than Legend himself did.
“Breathe with me, alright?” Wars let go of his shoulder, hand gesturing to his chest. Legend didn't have much pride to lose, so he complied. When Wars' chest rose, he breathed in. When it sank, he breathed out. In, two, three, four. Hold… Out, two, three, four. It didn't take much time before Legend grew irritated, thinking that this was taking too long. His time would be better spent practicing! He should be tuning, warming up, looking over his music again, anything! Not some barely effective breathing exercise that his brother only did when Wind was having stage fright, or when Sky struggled through an asthma attack. Or when Wild had a particularly bad flashback. Or when Rulie awoke, screaming, from a nightmare. Did… Did he really look that bad? That distressed?
Wars lifted his trumpet to his lips. “Tune me.”
With that, the sound of the instrument filled the room. Wild’s snare hidden in the corner rattled in complaint. He forced himself to block it out and focus on the note as it wavered in his ears, settling on something just a little off. “Pull it out,” Legend said, nodding to the tuning slide.
Wars adjusted the slide, and the pitch dropped. Well, now it's flat, Legend thought irritably. He pointed upwards. This time, Wars shifted the position of his lips on the mouthpiece, which finally sharpened the tone enough to satisfy the two of them.
“Keep playing.” Legend lifted his own trumpet to his face. He played the same note until they matched, then tested a handful of notes that harmonized with his brother's. There was not a single sign of dissention between the two. What he would give to simplify his emotions like that.
“Ready?” asked the man beside him.
“As I'll ever be,” Legend mumbled.
Wars patted him on the back and helped him up. “Remember, it's just like any other performance,” he assured him. “Just keep playing, and you'll do great “
“Thanks,” Legend grunted.
“Don't worry about it.” Wars smiled. “Let's run through the program. Start on my mark: one, two, ready…”
Wild, Flora, Time and Hyrule returned with dinner. Those who remained behind joined them to eat. The meal was quick, consisting of a tray of sandwiches and a bowl of salad. Legend didn't feel like eating. Everyone, including him, was eager to get back to practice, now as a full band, and they wasted no time in getting to it.
Rehearsal flew by uncomfortably fast. Everything went smoothly, if by smoothly, one meant “absolute disaster”. Oh, everyone else was fine. Legend made too many mistakes. This only gave Fable and Wind more ammo to torment him with, and only after a harsh reprimand from Wars did they stop. He wanted to feel grateful for his intervention, but the seed had already been planted. Now it was performance time, and he couldn't help the sudden panic that attacked him. He hyperventilated. His hands were clammy and they shook uncontrollably. Only Hyrule's calm comfort prevented him from losing control.
“Shhh,” Rulie whispered, rubbing his hands gently. “It'll be okay, Legend, I promise.”
“I can't do it,” he gasped, feeling lightheaded. “I can't go out there.”
“Yes, you can,” Rulie told him forcefully. “You're going out on that stage and you're going to sound amazing.”
“I'm going to mess up,” Legend said, his voice wobbling. “I'm going to ruin the whole performance in front of him-”
“No, you won't,” he interrupted. “And even if you did, his opinion of you won't change. Ravio loves you no matter what.”
Legend didn't respond. Rulie squeezed him in a quick hug and guided him to where the rest of the band waited. “Breathe,” he reminded him.
Time nodded at the two of them. He handed Rulie his bass guitar, who accepted it graciously. “Are you two boys ready?”
“Yup,” Rulie responded confidently.
Wild bared his teeth in a grin, twirling a drumstick in his fingers. “Let's light ‘em up, boys.”
Fable and Wind both whooped, each bodychecking Four. Legend swallowed hard.
With that, they walked onto the stage. Applause immediately assaulted his ears, causing him to wince. He squinted into the spotlights, their dazzling beams glaring daggers into his eyes. He searched the crowd anxiously, his heart thumping when he couldn't find Ravio. He wanted to slap himself for that. His head yelled at him to just focus.
Instinctively, he glanced at Rulie. The freckle-dotted face smiled encouragingly, mouthing, “You got this!”
He had to admit, that lifted his spirits, just a little. He took his place at his designated music stand and stared it down, scowling at each note.
“You better not ruin this,” Legend whispered menacingly.
Wars, who had just joined him at the stand, shot him a funny look. “What?”
“Not you,” Legend muttered.
Time stepped up to the microphone. He started his usual introduction, and the crowd quieted to hear his words. Legend hardly listened. His mind was on his sweaty palms. He wiped them on his pants with a soft curse. Did his own body think wringing itself dry of any liquid was going to help him? Brushing his hair out of his eyes also resulted in damp droplets on his fingertips.
“Ledge,” Wars said in a hushed tone, “stop chewing your lip.”
Legend wanted to punch him. He was only trying to help, though, which of course made him want to punch him more. Still, he restrained himself, both from hitting Wars and from giving into his anxious habits.
Cheering announced the end of Time's speech. The old man dipped his head and swept his arm, gesturing at Wild. Wild smiled broadly, raised his drumsticks, and hollered with his typical unhinged energy the usual countdown: “ONE, TWO! ONE, TWO, READY, GO!”
A snap of wood on snare and a plethora of clicks on the hi-hat cracked through the air. Sky plucked an upbeat rhythm on his bass. Hyrule and Wind joined next, hopping from high to low, up and down, badum, badum. Fable’s entrance infused the band with her bright, energetic spirit. She swung and leaped from note to note while the bass drum thrummed in Legend's chest. Fable climbed a scale and Four came in to support her. She hit the top, held it, and cued the rest of the band. Legend was unwillingly swept away by the current of music that was too fast, too quick.
And, of course, thoughts of Ravio came unbidden into his head.
“Do you remember when we first met?” Ravio murmured. “That day in the alley…”
Legend snorted. How could he forget? “Of course I remember.”
He let himself be twirled beneath his partner's arm before once again taking the lead. The two swayed in time with the music amidst the crowd of people, their movements not quite in sync compared to the others. Frankly, he was surprised how natural Ravio made it seem, considering how stiff Legend was. They'd made progress since their first time dancing, and although Legend kept tripping over himself in self-consciousness, they were doing fairly well.
“All those cultists. You took them out so quickly!” Ravio chuckled. “I wasn't sure if I should've been more scared of you than them.”
“I was sloppy,” Legend muttered. “Too preoccupied with finally looking like the ‘good guy'.”
“Link, I thought I was going to die,” Ravio said seriously. “You were my practical knight in shining armor!”
“A lot of good that did me,” Legend grumbled.
“Hey!” Ravio laughed. “I'm not that bad, am I?”
“I-I didn't mean you,” he said awkwardly.
“Oh.” Ravio deflated, hesitating. “...Yuga?”
Yuga. Yuga with a knife in his back, pinning him to the wall and tugging at his hair so his ear was to his mouth. He whispered threats while Link strained to breathe through the agony.
“You're not making it out of here alive, little hero,” he hissed. “Say hello to your uncle for me.”
Legend kicked and screamed against the memories. They were choking him, like Yuga all those years ago. The result? He only managed to squeeze out a pathetic handful of right notes. He hid behind Wars’ far more confident sound. Wars sensed what was wrong and covered for his sudden inability to read music.
The only note he really hit right was the last one. No style or soul went into it. He was having enough trouble staying within the key signature.
The audience applauded. Time acknowledged them with a hand.
Legend tugged at his suit. Had it always been this hot? He was overheating. And lightheaded. Was that normal?
“Ledge,” Wars hissed, shoving something cold into his hands. Legend blinked, dazed, at the object- a water bottle. “Water. Drink.”
He didn't have much else to do, so he obeyed. The freezing water was like ice down his throat, shocking him back to reality. He shook away the dizziness and drank more. It burned but was real.
“Breathe,” Wars reminded him for what must've been the fiftieth time that night. “Just hold on. Only two songs. You can do this. Just breathe.”
Why was everyone telling him to breathe? “I have to breathe to play my instrument,” he snarked.
Wars raised an eyebrow and smiled. “Just like that.”
Before he could come up with a snappy retort, his eyes caught Fable slipping past. She avoided his eyes. Wild handed her his drumsticks and she sat at the drumset. Wild stood by the marimba, casually twirling the mallets in his fingers while Four set aside his tenor for a bari.
Legend paled. Oh. This one, he had forgotten.
This song relied heavily on trumpet to start the band. Fable had no sax to carry the melody.
“Relax,” Wars said sternly. “I'll be here, playing with you.”
Legend pursed his lips and shoved the water bottle back into his brother's hands.
Time finished stalling. It took Legend a moment to realize that Time was not, in fact, waiting for him. He watched for Wild’s, Fable's and Four's signals that they were ready. There was no screaming countdown to start them off this time.
Legend was alone.
He regretted giving Wars his water back. His mouth was dry again. He couldn't seem to swallow. He tried asking for it but the words died on his tongue.
All he had to do was put his lips to the mouthpiece and blow. Din! It shouldn't be this hard!
Twilight waited for him. He was relying on him to cue his part.
Rulie waited for him. His note was essential to harmonize with his counter melody.
Wars waited for him. He only expected him to endure through what little they had left.
“Fight it,” Wars murmured. “Don't let the fear win. You hear me, Link? Fight back.”
“Link? Link, fight it. Wake up!”
Legend gasped for air, greeted by the sight of Ravio's worried eyes fixed on his. Hands were cupping his face, steady and sure. Legend grasped their wrists by instinct, breathing heavily.
“Link, are you alright?” Ravio repeated anxiously. “Can you hear me?”
Legend's eyes darted across the crowded room with the urgency of a frightened prey animal, but when his eyes locked with Ravio's again, his heartbeat slowed. He nodded.
“Do you need some fresh air?” asked the Lolian.
“I- No, I'll be fine,” he said shakily. “Just a flashback.”
“Are you sure? Because we can leave if-”
“No, it's over,” Legend interrupted. “We're not leaving unless you want to.” He inhaled deeply, ignoring his trembling hands.
Suddenly, Ravio's arms were wrapped around him. Legend's breath hitched, his internal screams needlessly reminding him that they were in public!
Legend laughed nervously. “Is there, uh… a specific reason why we're so sentimental all of a sudden?” he coughed awkwardly.
Ravio didn't respond, at first. He buried his face in Legend's shoulder and hummed, “I'm just glad you're here.”
Oh. Well, that was no reason for his face to get so red, was it? So why was his heart beating so quickly? And why did he feel so unreasonably giddy?
Ravio gave him another squeeze before pulling away and continuing the dance. Legend somehow managed to stumble even more than before, but Ravio's bright laugh lightened his mood every time. He supposed this whole dancing thing wasn't too bad.
He was happy to be with Ravio, too.
“Fight it…”
Legend clenched and unclenched his hands. He placed his fingers on the buttons and lips to the mouthpiece. He took one shuddering breath, pouring all he had into his trumpet- all his terror and loneliness and inadequacy.
What rang out over the stage was a soft, mellow E flat. A single-toned lament. It resonated within his bell before slipping away, eluding his grasp like a hushed whisper of wind.
I miss you, Rav.
It was only when he released the note that he realized that no one else came in. His gaze flitted to Wars. The zeal he found startled him.
“Yes!” Wars’ eyes shimmered with enthusiasm and pride. “Again- C'mon, Legend, you can do it!”
Legend didn't give himself time to think. He hurled himself down the metaphorical leap of faith and howled into the trumpet.
His brothers answered his call.
Twilight hummed back, achingly familiar in its mournful cry. Hyrule took on the same tone, grasping it effortlessly but gently, like one would handle an injured animal. Wind's response was frustrated, like him. It was as much of a duet of music as it was a duet of feeling.
Legend released the note, and breathed. He sunk into the hopeful interlude led by Wild and Four. It felt much more real than himself. The sound wound its way into his ears and eased out a puff of air he hadn't realized he had been holding.
It was startling, realizing that they were all mimicking what he had put into that note. Could it be that he was that obvious that he was pining? Four was the one who had made fun of him earlier. Yet here he was, weaving soft arpeggios of warmth and comfort. What was going on?
Wars poked him, jarring him from his reverie. “The Sailor’s trying to talk to you.”
Legend raised his eyebrows and shot a flat look the trombonist’s way. Really? the look said. In the middle of a performance?
There was a mischievous glint in Wind's eyes. “Solo battle?” he signed.
Legend almost laughed. Keyword: almost. “You mean a call-and-response duet?” he signed back.
“Whatever.” Wind rolled his eyes. “Are you in or not?”
Legend's eyebrows probably joined with his hairline then. “Isn't that in, like, three measures? Are you stupid?”
Wind flipped him off and stuck out his tongue.
Oh, this twerp was going down.
Fable jumped into action. Suddenly, the beat was moving at a relentless pace. The marimba perfectly channeled the devious smirk Wind carried. Legend found himself relishing the music again, tapping his foot along with Four's raw power. He bobbed his head in time with the vibrations he felt in his feet, most of which blasted from Time's guitar. He tossed the theme to Wars, who passed it to Four, who handed it to Wind, who promptly threw it to the floor and ground it into dust, laughing exhiliratedly. Normally, the rest of the band had to reel the dynamic in so the soloist could be heard, but most soloists weren't attention hogs like Wind. He would be heard, whether the audience liked it or not.
The Sailor moved with his solo. He tilted left and right, he stuck his slide into the air, and he bounced with each boom of the bass drum. Frankly, the drama of it all was rather obnoxious. It only charged Legend's eagerness to challenge him. There may be no winner in a solo battle, but he was determined to thoroughly beat Wind's ego into the dirt.
Legend waited for the perfect moment. He lifted his trumpet. He eyed the smug sailor out of the corner of his vision, a hint of warning in his posture. Secretly, though, he was excited to see the looks on the band's faces when he came in.
Now!
A visceral growl emitted from his instrument. Wind's head whipped around to face Legend, looking mildly offended. He barely restrained himself from snickering as the boy put a hand on his hip with an expression that looked hilariously reminiscent of Tetra's own pout.
As for the rest of the band… they were surprised, to say the least. Flabbergasted, as Ravio might've put it. Wind was given a fixed number of measures for his solos, and Legend cutting him off most definitely shook them. Four, the ever-reliable musician he was, was the first to regain his senses and improvise a good “backing track” for the others. Wars was ecstatic, and only Legend's lingering self-consciousness kept him from turning around and blasting in his ear.
“I was just about- You interrupted me!” Wind pretended to look outraged, but frankly, he looked more like an indignant gerbil than anything else.
Legend shrugged. Wind puffed out his cheeks. It only encouraged the rodent illusion, which just added to the growing list of infinitely hilarious things that shouldn't be funny; what was he thinking? Goddesses, what was he doing? He shouldn't be stealing Wind's solo, he was going to make it worse, he was going to ruin it for the kid-
He stumbled.
His blood had never drained so quickly from his face before. He scrambled to find a note that sounded right. Nothing sounded right! Why couldn't he do anything right? Why-
…Wind was covering for him. He covered up his mistakes by one-upping him, because that's how their solo battles went. Constantly improving on the last turn. Disguising his slip-ups by being better than him, all while pretending that was the plan all along.
Wars leaned over. He chuckled in amusement. “Are you going to just take that, Ledge? Gonna let him win?”
Legend snorted. “You wish this was your solo, pretty boy.”
He let the sailor have his little moment. Let him have his sly smirk and the roaring crowd, because while he practically owed the kid his kidney for saving him like that, it didn't mean he got to keep the spotlight. Even if it meant he had to strangle the butterflies in his stomach to keep them quiet, he would play.
Legend drew in a breath and blasted out the next note. Wind scoffed out a single “Dude!” but Legend overpowered that as well. He pouted again, and, to Legend's surprise, tried to play over him. Though, not really- he was harmonizing with him, forcing the dynamic up or down, and mixing his own energy in, one that Legend could not hope to synthesize. Not that he wanted to. It was a brattish energy, anyway.
Four was getting louder. He was adding tension, and sending a message to the two of them: their time was coming to a close.
Wind heard it, loud and clear. He pushed against Legend’s melody. Part of him screamed at him to let him have control, to give him the finale, but his pride refused. He stood like a wall before Wind’s grabs at the spotlight. He had glissandos, grace notes, and pitch bends, but so did any half-decent trombone player. Not only could Legend do the same, he also knew exactly how to prod him where it hurt.
Let’s see how high you can go, sailor.
He blocked out the smithy’s warnings and began baiting Wind into a climb. He fell for it, hook line and sinker. B flat? Easy! C sharp? What a joke! He didn’t suspect a thing.
It was when they started to reach the higher portions of the scale that Legend detected some strain in Wind’s tone. He pushed higher. E. Running out of time, said Four. F, A flat. Wind didn’t follow. With a soaring sense of exhilaration, Legend landed the final high B flat. It was an easy victory, but a victory nonetheless.
At least, it was, until Wind hit an entire note higher.
Legend gawked at the cackling sailor. It was too late to make a comeback, the rest of the band had already moved on. Legend rolled his eyes. Just like him to get the last word. He had to laugh, though. Wind looked so proud of himself.
“Bet you aren’t thinking about your boyfriend now, huh?” he gloated.
Legend blinked. Had- Had that all been some grand scheme to get his confidence back? That rat! “I’ll think about wringing your neck!” he retorted angrily.
Unfortunately, he was right. Legend hardly felt any anxiety. Mental note: strangle him when we finish here.
It didn’t take long before the song was over and Wind was bowing theatrically. Legend was out of breath, dehydrated, and on the border of passing out, but he loved it. He felt alive again. He accepted Wars’ water bottle again. He practically emptied it, for how parched his lips were.
“Chapstick?” Wars offered, holding out a stick of his favorite brand.
Legend wrinkled his nose at it. “I’m not touching anything that has been anywhere near your lips.”
“What, like my water bottle?” Wars challenged lightly, waving the chapstick in his face.
“Fine. Gimme that,” he muttered, snatching the small tube from his brother’s fingers. He applied it as quickly as possible before shoving it back in its owner’s hands. He would never admit how useful it was, especially after so long arguing that it was for girls.
He only wished there was such a simple remedy for the ache that was beginning to form around his cheeks. That solo had really taken a toll on his embourchure.
Legend rubbed his face while Four walked by. The smith paused by him, his reddish-brown irises tinged by… guilt? Legend narrowed his eyes.
“That was a good solo back there,” he murmured. “You think you’ll be all right for this one?”
“I’m fine. Why do you care?” Legend responded tightly.
“Hey, look, I’m… I’m sorry. For teasing you.” Four winced. “I should’ve seen how badly it was affecting you. You’ll do great, okay? I mean, if I were Ravio, I’d be impressed regardless, but I know that’s not the reassurance you’re looking for.”
Legend raised his eyebrows. An apology from the smithy? He knew it was bad, but not that bad.
…No, he shouldn’t make light of it, especially with how seriously Four was taking it. Or how seriously he took it, before the performance. That wasn’t fair.
“It’s not important,” Legend sighed. “I should be the one wishing you good luck. You’re singing.”
“Ha. So I take it we’re even now?” He held out his hand to shake. Legend took it, suppressing a smile.
“Thanks. Now, get lost, Sinatra,” Legend said.
Four chuckled and shook his head. He made his way to the piano just as Time finished up. Fable back on the sax and Wild on the drums, he raised his hand to cue the song.
He dropped it for the last time.
Wild tapped a smooth, bouncy beat on his hi-hat. Fable followed along, surprisingly mild for someone of her disposition. He’d never heard her handle the melody so… gently, before. Usually only Four had that kind of grace with the saxophone. Speaking of Four, the twinkling, playful piano notes complimented that laid-back style very nicely. Legend inserted his cup mute into his bell with a sort of contentment he hadn’t felt since Ravio left.
He had forgotten what it was like to actually enjoy music.
Four’s voice was glad to show him how much he had missed. If Wild and Fable were smooth, the smithy’s voice was like the outside of a fresh apple, ripe and shiny with morning dew. Warm, too, like pie crust.
Legend couldn’t wait to share another apple pie with Ravio.
“Well, here we are again
It’s always such a pleasure…”
Of course, this song wasn’t exactly meant to be cozy and reassuring. Legend was just getting restless.
Wind and Twilight, crescendo with a forte-piano.
An ebb and flow in Fable’s dynamic. Grow, pull back.
Wars counting rests under his breath. Legend felt an itch on the back of his neck. He was impatient, and his constant counting didn’t help.
“Oh, how we laughed and laughed!
Except I wasn't laughing…”
Legend could hear Four's smile. He loved this song.
Soft falls muted by the cups in their trumpets. Mischievous, like a cat leaping nimbly from one bookshelf to the next. Or like the sailor, sneaking sweets from Legend's stash.
“You want your freedom, take it!
That's what I'm counting on!”
Wind crept into the lead, swaying from one note to the next gracefully. He treated the song like a waltz, but exaggerated comedically in its romance. Ravio swooning dramatically came to mind.
“I used to want you dead, but now I only want you gone!”
The whole band swung into action. Wild slammed on the snares, Fable sang into her sax with a dramatic volume worthy of Wind’s pride while the brass accented the offbeats, finishing with a flourishing trill.
The dynamic dropped. Four retained his eagerness, sounding just as smugly joyful as ever. The sax followed his lead.
“She was a lot like you-”
He chuckled. “Well, maybe not quite as heavy!”
That was Wind's favorite part. It took a considerable amount of effort not to snicker at the combined force of the lyric and the smithy's delivery.
Another band-wide crescendo, led by trumpets. Glittering piano notes followed, dancing daintily in Legend's ears.
“One day they woke me up
So I could live forever
It's such a shame the same could never happen to you!”
Four's voice swelled brightly, leading the band from a mezzo-piano to a forte. Fable acted like this was her solo, announcing her counter melody to the whole audience. Wild mimicked the accents Wars and Legend made with a crash on the cymbals. He was having just as much fun as Four was.
“I'll let you get right to it-
Now I only want you gone!”
The rest of the band dropped away, allowing the piano and the drums to lead as Four began his monologue. Legend bit his lip. His solo was just around the corner. He grabbed Wars’ water bottle again and stole a quick sip.
At Four's “Take it away!”, his brothers took the lead.
Legend hardly paid attention to the rise in energy. This was it. He promised Ravio a good show. After that trick Wind played on him back in the last song, he intended to follow through.
Here!
He climbed into his solo. He imitated Four's languid ease with Wind's cocky eagerness to show off in the little slurs and tremolos he slipped into the solo. His heart pounded viciously against his chest. He went from note to note with little flourishes that were subtle but painted with just enough color to give it life. Thank Farore for Sky's bass, keeping him in time while his fingers itched to go faster than he had the ability to. But he kept it smooth and lilting as he repeated the melody of the chorus-
And just like that, it was over. His solo, finished. Audience clapping excitedly at the performance. Fable easing the band into a soft dynamic before dropping away completely. Before he knew it, Sky was playing his own solo while Four sang along:
“Goodbye my only friend…
Oh, ha, did you think I meant you?
This song really fit Four, Legend thought vaguely. Quick-witted, mischievous, and laid-back. Maybe even a little arrogant.
Had he really just done that? Had he really just pulled off that solo like it was just an everyday warm up scale, after all his anxiety just put him through? He snorted softly with incredulous indignance.
It shouldn't have been that easy. But it was.
Wild's cue! Legend snapped dizzily back to attention. Neither he nor Wars were coming in any time soon, but he had to be ready. He listened in on Wars’ counting and quickly found his spot in the rest.
“Well, you have been replaced
I don't need anyone now…”
Again, Fable’s time to shine. Crescendo. Getting bigger, louder louder louder, play, support Fable, louder louder, howl out your part until you're faint from using too much air. Legend's lungs felt ready to burst, his lips burned.
“Go make some new disaster!
That's what I'm countin’ on!”
He could do it. He could reach the end of the song. The light was at the end of the tunnel. The light was in his eyes, he had shifted too far to the left and now a spotlight was beaming directly into them, he kept playing.
“You're someone else's problem; now I only want you gone!”
Keep playing, it's almost done, just two more lines and he could see Ravio-
“Now I only want you gone!”
Ravio, had he seen the solo? Was he even here yet?
“Now I only want you gone!”
Focus, finish off strong.
“Now I only want you gone-!”
Four sustaining the note, steady, swing into the accent, hold hold hold, drop down low-
“I want you gone!”
With that, the band pulled back, Wars finished the song with a flaunting swing and grace note, Wild thumped his bass.
Done. Finished. Over. No more. He finished the song, and he hadn't messed up.
And the crowd went wild.
Time bowed. He gestured to the soloists- him and Sky and Four. They dipped their heads, Four with significantly less humility. Legend licked his lips as he stared at his feet. He felt like he had just run a marathon.
A poke on his shoulder. Legend straightened his back. He followed Wars' outstretched finger, past Time's hand showing him off as a soloist, and- oh.
There he was. Standing in the middle of the audience, clapping his hands eagerly. His adoptive sister was beside him, but Legend's eyes never left the man for a second.
“Ravio,” he whispered.
He moved without thinking. He pushed his trumpet into his brother's hands. Wars gawked as he leaped off the stage and into the rows of chairs. Heart racing so quickly he feared it might escape, he ran up the aisle.
There he was. Right there, grinning from ear to ear, calling out his name with a voice too soft to be heard over the crowd. Goddess d— him. That insufferable smile. It had no right to make him feel this way. So unfairly happy.
The rest was a blur. Ravio wrestled his way to the aisle, Legend only increased his breakneck pace; Ravio beamed, laughing his name, and they collided.
Ravio's arms squeezed him tight, twirling him around like the couples in those cheesy romance movies. Even as his feet planted on the ground, Legend didn't want to let go. He wanted to make sure this stupid rabbit never left his sight again.
Ravio pulled away, holding his face with the gentlest hands, grinning through teary eyes. “I take it you missed me, Mister Hero?” he chuckled.
By the Three, now he was crying. “Of course I missed you, you idiot!” he choked out.
“I missed you too,” Ravio breathed.
He leaned forward and the last bit of Legend's restraint crumbled. His lips crashed against Ravio's before he could draw out the moment any longer, his hand reaching to tangle with his partner's smooth, inky locks. Ravio let out a tiny squeak of surprise before leaning into the kiss.
Legend's lips buzzed; he couldn't tell if the sensation came from his trumpet or Ravio. He couldn't care less. His mind was on Ravio's soft hands, on his tender touch, on the ghost of a smile he could feel through the kiss.
Legend's heart had climbed up his throat by the time it was over. He noted vaguely that the audience was roaring and clapping, and that Fable's voice boomed over the speakers, hollering, “That's my brother!” Meanwhile, he couldn't decide whether to punch Ravio or let the tears flow. He swallowed hard, his eyes locking on Ravio's rupee-green ones.
“You kiss like you've been playing trumpet for an hour,” he teased.
Legend's face flushed red. “Shut up,” he grumbled.
“Aw, I didn't mean it,” he giggled, squishing him in another hug. “I just missed seeing your grumpy face.”
“You're the worst.”
“Don't get too sappy, you two.” Legend whipped around, greeted by Ravio's boss herself. Hilda, with a cocked eyebrow and folded arms, dressed in a blazer and skirt not unlike Fable's slightly more masculine suit. Her violet-painted lips twitched upwards in amusement. “You'll make the audience gag on their lunches.”
“I think I'm gagging on my lunch,” Legend complained.
Ravio gasped in mock offense, but Hilda shrugged. “Your sister does seem to be enjoying this…”
Legend glanced over at the stage and groaned. Of course she was. Of course she was hopping up and down in ecstasy, shaking poor, helpless Four back and forth while screaming with Wind. Of course she had to rope Sky and Wars into it- and was that Rulie cheering with them? Well, now Legend felt extra betrayed.
Warm fingers lacing with his drew his attention back to his partner. Ravio squeezed his hand and smiled. Legend had to wrestle his own into a disapproving scowl before he could see it.
“What do you say we put your trumpet away and go out for dinner?” he proposed. “That way we could get some time alone to relax and catch up some way other than over text?”
Legend folded his arms. “So, you expect me to forgive you, just like that? After being gone so long?”
Ravio laughed nervously. “If you wouldn't mind?”
“I suppose I can give you another chance,” he muttered. “And I'm paying. Yes, Hilda, I know you paid for everything back there.” He waved dismissively, then eyed Ravio out of the corner of his eye. “I'll let him hold on to his rupees just this once. Now excuse me while I go murder my sister.”
He dipped his head politely to the businesswoman before dashing off to the stage. He leaped up, much to Wind's delight and Time's resigned disappointment, and jabbed a finger at Fable. She squealed and hid behind Four, who sighed and stepped aside.
“You!” Legend barked. “Get over here before I break your reeds!”
Fable gaped dramatically. “You wouldn't!”
“I will!”
“Whoa there, Ledge,” Wars said lightly. “Save the death threats for when the instruments are away, hm?”
Legend sniffed, swiping his trumpet from his hands and not-so-subtly emptying his spit valve on his foot. Wars yelped and jumped hilariously. “Legend!” he swore. “That's disgusting!”
“I bet it tastes like your lipstick,” he snarked.
Fable snickered. Legend brandished his trumpet threateningly and said, “What, you want some too?”
His sister screeched and ran off backstage. Legend made to pursue her, but Twilight gave him a look. He wrinkled his nose and dusted off his suit. She wasn't worth the trouble, anyway.
He decided to make his way offstage to delicately take apart his instrument. He had a date to prepare for! Fable could wait.
Besides, he had plenty of time to daydream of revenge on the way out.
Legend grinned devilishly. She won't know what hit her.
He left the building whistling cheerfully.
----
A/N: Thank you for reading, but I do have to add a disclaimer. Please, please, please do not jump off a stage like Legend did. The last time someone did that at my school, they broke their ankle. I repeat, do not jump off a stage.
Take care, all of you! ❤️

Missing Violet (harry’s angel au)
pairing: harry styles x female reader (angel)
summary: harry knew being away from you and violet would be hard, but he didn’t know it would be this hard…
warnings: slight angst?? nothing major <3
a/n: slowly but surely getting back on the writing juice, thought i’d get this cute little idea out before working on some more stuff that’s soon to come💜
It was just past 8:30 in the morning when your phone buzzed quietly beside you, Violet was sound asleep on your chest as you sat propped up in the living room. Your favourite show playing softly on the tv, the outside world was already bustling, people travelling to work, but inside all was quiet, almost as if you weren’t London.
You reached over slowly, careful not to wake your little girl, quickly swiping to answer Harry’s facetime call, an hourly ritual almost as he was away finishing his tour. You smiled seeing his face pop up, the Portugal sun doing wonders for the tan he was getting
“good morning H”
He smiled
“morning darling, how’d you sleep last night?”
“not too bad honestly, gem is here with us so she helped with the little one last night, how about you?”
Harry found a shady spot to sit, returning his attention to you two
“not too bad I suppose, m’really missing home though, i hate being away from you two”
You knew being away from Harry this early after having Violet would be hard on him, and you could see it now when he took his sunglasses off, the bags under his eyes prominent: he just looked so tired
“im sorry my love, only a little longer and then you’ll be back to us…”
Bringing the camera down so Violet was now in the frame, he could see her tiny hands grasping onto your cashmere sweater, her eyes closed, her back moving up and down ever so softly as she slept away
“how come you’re always sleeping with daddy calls hmm?”
You laughed a little
“she just had a very big breakfast so I guess she’s in a food coma”
“what a life”
Harry laughed, taking a few live photos of her before she stirred slightly, a little squeak like noise escaping her
“oh did daddy wake you up? he was taking some cute photos of you”
You placed your phone down propped up with pillows so you could readjust her, a smile on your face noticing the green in her eyes
“did you get any good ones baby?”
A few moments passed with no answer, when you turned back to see the screen Harry had a sad look on his face, tears lining his eyes, that alone broke your heart
“harry what’s wrong? hey please don’t cry…”
He shook his head as you picked the phone up bringing it closer to you and violet
“i should be there a-and i’m not…i feel like i’m failing you both-”
Cutting him off before he could continue you shook your head
“harry, no, we aren’t doing that. don’t you ever think you’re failing us, you’re the best father to violet and the best husband to me, you are in no way failing us.”
Taking a breath you paused
“you’re working your hardest and putting on shows for so many people who love you, we knew it was a possibility bee would come sooner than the tour ended and that’s okay! i know being away from us is hard, and i wish i could be there with you, but don’t you ever think you’re failing me, because you’re not”
After a few minutes he nodded
“I mean fucking hell harry you sent me a continental breakfast from another country with my favourite cherry almond latte…i’d say you’re far from failing”
Harry finally let out a laugh, bringing a smile to your face
“I love you so much you know that? you take such good care of us even from miles away, I know Vi loves you just as much”
“I love you girls too, so much..i’ll be home soon”
Smiling you brought the phone down so Harry could spend some more time with Violet, talking to her softly, telling her stories all while she blinked, not really knowing what was going on, but Harry liked to think she was paying attention. Little did he know you’d been missing him just as terribly, and you couldn’t help but smile knowing you’d be flying to Italy for the final show of love on tour.
The last show was going to be special, but surprising H to be there as a family, would make it that much more incredible.

I'll yap abt Paranormal Order X PJSK (more specifically WxS) and what element I would give to each one of them!!! ★ミ
Translation: I'm seeing people say that they are agents who fight against the paranormal so like- they are in Paranormal Order? They'll fight against blood zombies and such?
When I drew Rui with affinity to Death, I was thinking of "What if PJSK character where in paranormal order?"
I REALLY want to think more this au and maybe even write SMTH too, but I'm not that huge of a fan of Paranormal Order, my brother is almost constantly telling me to finish watching Desconjuração and Calamidade, anyways, with that I don't know a ton ABT the universe like other fans do so, I might say SMTH wrong, I did go to the wiki to clear some of my doubts, but even so, I want you to understand that I know almost anything lololol
Now, without further ado, what element of the paranormal would each member of Wondershow have affinity with!!??
I discussed this with my brother once or twice, although I still have my doubts.
I know that the elements aren't really choosed depending on personality, you just feel the elements calling you to take their hand, so, I tried to think as the entity's!!! How? Idk. I just thought "Yeah... Blood really likes those feelings... Yeah, the devil would take you" and that's it :D (altho I thought abt personalit a tiny bit too- but that doesn't matter)
Rise the curtains for our first guest... NENE🤖
With what I've saw ABT her, the only element that would call for her in my opinion is Knowledge.
I would love to see a CHAOS NENE, (a chaos WxS troupe actually-) but I think knowledge suits her more. She's very reasonable most of the time. She still is anxious, but man, she does take so many good actions when needed. The one I can think right away was when she decided to bring Rui to Kaito in "It's on Wonderhalloween". She also wants to learn more and more to become a diva right? And she has a lot of knowledge and ABT videogames I suposse. I do she her as someone who wants to know more to surpass her weaknesses. And idk- maybe knowledge would call for her.
Idk, honestly, This seems too superficial, but I can't think of anything else, sorry Nene :(
ALSO! I can see her as an occultist or a fighter (I don't really know the names for the classes in English, so sorry-) DONT ASK ME WHY- I JUST SEE IT. Maybe as an occultist than anything else but, ykyk- Imagine Nene with a knowledge gun
And now, our world future star, TSUKASA🌟
Blood. Yeah. That's it. Blood.
As I said before, I do also want to see him taken by Chaos, but blood suits Tsukasa so well.
Im not really sure WHY I see him with affinity in blood, but he does let his fellings control him. Maybe not as much, or maybe not with bad intentions anymore, but he still does. Not only that, but his dream to become a star to bring smiles to tons of people started with wanting to make Saki smile. That strong feeling of "Things aren't really good rn, but I want to bring a smile and happiness to the people I love the most" is something the devil would like. Theres so many emotions, Tsukasa created a whole SEKAI because his feelings. And he's so caring too. THOSE FEELINGS ARE SO STRONG. Even if he forgots abt some of them, I'm sure that the element of blood would love him.
Now... For the archetypes... Idk honestly. I can see him as an occultist too. Because - I CAN'T see him as a Specialist. Maybe a Fighter? But i don't really now, but I want him with a gun
It's time foooor~ EMU OTORI 🍬!!!
Easy one, not really a suprise, right? CHAOS IS SO EMU!!! SHES SO CHAOTIC!!!!!
Although... Now that I think about it. Maybe Death is a good one for her too- because you know, she wants to perseve Phoenix Wonderland as identical as her grandpa built and even if, in "Our Happy ending" she act like it was fine for her to ""leave"" WxS she still wanted to be with them and stay as they where, even if she cherishs and wants to see her troupe have their dreamers to come truth.
Death would love her...
IF CHAOS WASN'T THERE!1;;!!!11!11
LOOK AT HER, SHE SCREAMS CHAOS CHAOS. Once, I saw someone say she is like a mini anfitrião. I don't know much about him, but seems accurate. SHE IS CHAOS. SHE IS ENERGY.
Now... As for a class... I really can't think of anything. Fighter maybe??? I don't really know... I wanted to say occultist too but seems a bit repetitive-
Anyways-
Everyone, give a great applause for, ou dearest alchemist RUI🎈!!!!!!! YAAAY THE ONE WHO STARTED THIS ALL (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
Rui was a HARD ONE, A REALLY HARD ONE. Not only because his my favourite but also because I could see all the elements calling for him. Altho... blood not as much...
He could "choose" chaos because. Well, you know him! His a chaotic child with a wild imagination!
Knowledge could want him because he has such a curious nature, and although that many call him a genius, his thirst for knowledge never ends. He wants to learn so much more. At first I thought that knowledge was the definitive answer but then, I looked at Death.
Death, the element of time, spirals and repetition. Rui wants to experience every millisecond with his friends, and he's the one who seems most afraid of WXS disbandment (not saying that the others are okay with that, Nene says that they will stick together no matter what, emu, yk emu, our happy ending yk- and Tsukasa cherish and appreciates his troupe sm, he also wants to realise his dream alongside them), anyways, but Rui. AAA Rui... He doesn't think about that 24/7, but that "If we disband" seems to torment him imo.
For me, the thing he values the most, It's the time he spends with people and doing things he loves. Maybe that's not what death wants, because it wants you to be absorbed by the spirals. But meh, I like Death Rui.
Now then, he would definitely be a specialist. MAYBE an occultist because... Sorcerer Rui
BUT THATS THE END OF THIS RAMBLE!!! Idk what to say anymore about that, just aaaa. Yeah, that was it :D
Little reminder again! I don't have that many knowledge ABT Paranormal Order so if anything seems off, my dearest apologies... But if you have smth to add or maybe refute, I would love to read it :DDDDD I really wish that people who know these two things would think of this- idk crossover? Au? Idk, ABOUT THIS >:)))
ANYWAYS, HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!! :D
#ordem paranormal#pjsekai#wxs#rui kamishiro#tsukasa tenma#nene kusanagi#emu otori#wondershow#pjsk x ordem paranormal#paranormal order#pjsk#u see me???#i would love to see them play OP...#IMAGINE THEM PLAYING TABLETOPRPG DND IDK?? II. The Road to California (Winchesters x Younger Sibling)
AN; so don't get me wrong. I love every single sibling au there is when it comes to my boys but i just cant stand how i always feel like its too sappy for what supernatrual in, so im writing this lol. like i said im gonna try to stick to the plot (timeline wise) but everything else is me so enjoy chapter two. (yes i do skip over some things beause a second sibling changes the timeline)
Summary: Dean and Jamie make their way to Sam in California.
word Count: 4.3k estimate
After filling Jamie in on the case concerning their father, the siblings fell into silence. Dean was driving while Jamie went through the cassettes for another album to listen to.
“I’m sorry we missed your graduation. I know it was a big moment for you.” Dean started. His sister was different, he could sense it. She was stronger, more mature but he couldn’t help but see that tiny kid Dad found in a big empty house.
“It was no different than any of the other big moments but let’s not get into it, Dean. Besides, you guys were on an important hunt and I forgot to get your tickets anyway. We can play catch-up when we get Sam.” She didn’t want to get all sentimental till they could get it all out with Sam after he agreed to come with them.
Dean sighed. “Jamie, I know you don't like being emotional 'cause you wanna be like your big brothers but we messed up. We weren't there for you when we should have been.”
“I know, don't worry it was lame anyway.” Jamie gulped. “I know you are upset about me hunting. Bobby didn’t even know till a couple of hunts ago!” She tried to explain but Dean put his hand up.
“You know how Dad feels about you hunting Jamie. That’s the whole reason he trusted you to Bobby, so you could have a normal life!”
“You know I was never going to have one, especially with my Mom still awol,” Jamie said, getting quieter when she mentioned her Mom.
Dean knew it was a touchy subject. How Dad always forbade her from seeing her Mom even though she was still alive. Jamie didn’t know the whole story of course but Dean couldn’t bring himself to tell her the truth.
“Is that what this is about? Dad and I told you what happened. You shouldn’t go chasing after her!” Dean said.
“Why should that matter? I have a right to know who my mom is if I have the chance!”
“You’ve never even met her Jamie! We are your family. We have been there for you!”
“Oh Really? You left me with Bobby for a year Dean. You never call, never text, Dad never calls, never texts. I didn’t even know if you were alive until you rolled up!”
Dean didn't want to argue. She was right and he knew it. they had been less than a family in the past year. especially since Sam left.
“Okay. You’re right, but now we have to put that aside and get to Sam so we can find Dad.” Dean subsided. There was never a point in arguing with Jamie, for one they could never stay mad at her, their little girl, and two, thanks to her special little party trick they could never hide their true feelings from her.
“Yes, and I’m going to help you find Dad. there is no point in arguing because I’m going to do it anyway. I got past Bobby, you two are easy.” She added, taking the finishing sip from her cream soda.
“Whatever. So what have you hunted? Any souvenirs?” Dean asked jokingly.
“First was a shapeshifter that wormed its way into town. I beat Bobby to that one when I saw its skin outside my school earlier in the year. Then there was the vampire a couple of towns over and most recently a ghost haunting my ex-boyfriend, talk about karma.”
“Boyfriend?”
“yeah, it didn’t end up well. He wasn’t as cool as I thought he was but oh the face he made when I ganked that sucker. Ah for the pages!” Jamie laughed.
“Right. Well, no more boyfriends if you plan on being a hunter, and just because you graduated doesn’t make you grown up. So it’s the same. You follow orders and stay out of the way.” Dean said, glancing between her and the road.
He remembered the night Dad took them to her. Like the drifters they grew up to be, they were staying at their Dad’s friend’s house in Texas, hunting a vampire nest. He knew that his Dad and Frida were close. They would stop by anytime they were in town and one day, Dad had taken them there. He told them it was something important, an emergency.
Sam and Dean questioned them the whole time about what it was till he finally spit it out.
“You have a baby sister now and I’m taking you to meet her.”
“Dad, what do you mean? With Frida the medium?” Dean asked.
“Look, I know you’re probably upset but we didn’t mean for this to happen. I didn’t even know until a couple of weeks ago. Frida is in some trouble and needs our help.”
That was all he said about it. When they got there, the house was empty except for a car seat and a note. John and Dean searched the house while six-year-old Sam stood guard over the Baby. Curiosity got the better of him and he read the letter as he looked at the sleeping baby.
“Dear John, I am so sorry I did not tell you sooner. This child will likely have some of my abilities and for that reason and more than I can explain, I must leave her with you. All of her paperwork is under my bed. I named her Jamie Winchester. You are the father so don’t even think of running from this. She needs you and you need her.
-Frida.
“What’s it say, Sammy?” Dean asked as he came back to the main room.
“Her name is Jamie, and she is our new sister,” Sammy said, carefully holding the newborn in her arms. “Do you want to hold her? She is sleeping.”
“Sure,” Dean said, sitting down and taking the baby from Sam. “Jamie huh? She is a Winchester. Look at that nose!” He said. Using his index to lightly tickle the baby’s nose.
“Boys. this is no time to be cute.”
And the rest was history. it took a lot to adjust to having a new baby on the road but Dean had done it before with Sam. It wouldn’t be much harder.
The rest of the drive was silent other than the occasional argument of Metalica or AC/DC they enjoyed each other’s presence.
“So…was there any word on your Mom?” Dean asked just as they entered Palo Alto.
“No, still nothing. But I know she is out there. Ever since the thing kicked in I’ve felt a presence and I know it disturbs you but I can’t help it.” Jamie said, immediately going to defend her statement.
“It’s not that kiddo. Regardless of what you have going through you’re head. We all love you no matter what. You are family, ever since that night in Texas, and nothing will ever change that June Bug.”
Jamie smiled and nodded. “yeah, can we stop for food? we’ve been driving forever.” Dean chuckled and agreed. They pulled into a burger joint and sat down. It was late, almost midnight on this side of the country.
“Do you think Sam will come D?” Jamie asked, setting her drink down.
“Of course he will, it’s the family business.”
Jamie stared at her brother for a moment. “Why did you never answer my calls?”
Dean looked up at his baby sister. He knew this would be the topic of conversation until Jamie was satisfied with his answers.
“Sweetie, listen, hunting is not for sport. we don’t do this because we think it is fun. I should have called and checked on you, I know and I’m sorry I didn’t. I’m sorry I didn’t return your calls. I’m trying here.” He explained.
“Fine, I will accept your lackluster and mediocre apology. But I hope you know I know you are hiding something and I’m gonna find out what it is.”
For a moment, Dean almost got panicked over the idea of his baby sister finding out what he was hiding but that was for another time.
“Common, we gotta go get Sammy, the case is still an hour away,” Dean said, dropping some change on the table and waiting. Jamie nodded and took her final bites before dusting herself off and following her brother.
“You know, when you said try to convince him, you skipped the part where we break into our brother’s dorm,” Jamie said as she followed Dean up the fire escape.
“What can I say? We’re Winchesters.”
He broke the window and crawled in. Jamie followed after. Looking around at her brother’s life for the last two years. She pulled her gun out when she heard a crash. Turning around her brothers were wrestling, Sam holding a bat.
“Dean?!” Sam’s voice was tired. “Jamie?! What the hell are you guys doing here at two in the freakin morning?”
“Well, Dean is looking for beer but we came here for you.”
“You guys can’t just break into my house! I could have killed you?”
“You wouldn’t,” Jamie answered.
“Sam?” Another voice rang from the hallway.
“Jess. Uhm, these are my siblings. Dean and Jamie, can you give us a minute?”
“Yeah, I’ll go put something on.”
Jamie looked away. She was pretty, but she couldn’t help but sense that something was off, she wandered around the house while her brothers talked. It was always easy to slip away when she stepped away from them. Their bond was nothing she could ever imagine for herself. Yes, Sam left hunting behind for a better life, he left his family behind because of the turmoil but you can never not be a hunter. That was always her takeaway from the night Sam left for Stanford.
Jamie listened back in when Sam’s voice got serious.
“Whatever you need to say to me you can say to her too,” he said, putting his arm around his girl.
“Um, Dad’s on a hunting trip,” Dean said, raising his brows like Sam was supposed to understand him. “And he hasn’t been back for a while.”
"yeah, you know how the season is," Jamie said, raising her brow and winking.
“Jamie go wait in the car,” Dean said, tossing the keys for Jamie to catch right on time. She turned to Jess and smiled. “It was nice meeting you, finally. We’ll bring him back in one piece.” Jess nodded and Jamie left. Walking past her still arguing brothers.
She started the car up and waited by the trunk. Stealing one of Dean’s beers while she was at it. He wouldn’t mind. She knew he couldn’t wait for her first beer with him. Truth is her life has been on a fast track ever since Sam left and after she was left at Bobby’s she knew she would have to hit the road for her Mom sooner or later. She chose sooner knowing it wouldn’t be an easy battle finding out who she was outside of being a Winchester.
“Jamie, pop the trunk,” Dean said. She dropped the beer to her side, hiding it behind her thigh as her brothers walked towards her. Sam had a tired look on his face.
“What was he hunting?” Sam asked.
“And why didn’t you go with him, Dean?” Jamie piped in from the side.
“I had my own thing voodoo thing in New Orleans.”
“Dad let you go on a hunt on your own?”
“I’m twenty-six dude and besides Jamie has been solo hunts too. You’re the only one who’s behind.” Dean said.
Sam looked at his little sister with a mix of anger and surprise. She sighed and looked away. She wasn’t going to take dirt from someone who ran away from the life.
Sam walked over and hugged his sister. He already knew what she was thinking by the way she hugged him back. It wasn’t the kind of hug that popped his back and made his heels slightly lift up like before. It was just a return hug.
“Jamie. I left hunting behind, not you..”
“Well, you have a funny way of showing it. Fill him in Dean, I’m waiting in the car.” Jamie said. She knew she had no real right to be angry. She was there with him at the height of Dad’s obsession but she couldn’t relate. Well, she could but she refused it was the Same with Dean. it was always her reaching out after Sam left. They never needed her.
She got in the backseat and checked the time. it was late but Bobby would probably be up. She mulled it over for a moment opting to listen while Dean caught Sam up. A few minutes later she watched as Sam walked away. For a moment she wondered if he would walk back out. to her relief, he did. There was nothing she wanted more in the past year than to be with her family again sometimes.
Sam looked so much more mature, maybe even taller than when she last saw him, his hair was maybe an inch shorter and his clothes looked newer.
Sam jumped in and Dean followed.
“Looks like we’re getting the band back together.” Jamie joked, there was no better joy than irritating her brothers.
“Hell yeah!” Dean said as Sam rolled his eyes.
“I have to be back by Monday. No exceptions.”
Dean and Jamie rolled their eyes at their brother as the engine turned over. Jamie couldn't help but look back at Sam's house. It didn't feel like him at all. Right before they turned the corner, she could have sworn she Saw Jess looking through the downstairs window as they left. She did not look happy either.
-
Sam and Jamie sat in silence as Dean went into the convenience store. She could sense the tension he felt, how apprehensive he was about going on a hunting trip.
“Jamie,” Sam said, turning around to face his kid sister.
“What is it, Sammy? I’m reading here.” She said, putting the local newspaper down and looking at her older brother.
“I just, want you to know that when I left, I never left to get away from you.”
“Sam…” Jamie sighed. “I know you didn’t leave because of me.” Jamie adjusted her position taking up the entire backseat. “Yes, I am salty about it but you don’t have to keep apologizing. You still did more than Dad..or Dean for that matter.” She muttered. Sam tried to say something but Dean came back.
“Jamie, breakfast. Sammy?” Dean offered as he got into the car. Jamie accepted the cheap junk food and retired back to her newspaper. Dean mouthed to Sam, asking what was wrong with their sister and he gave Dean a look as if telling him to not go there.
“No breakfast. How are you guys even paying for this? Still running credit card scams?”
“Well, hunting isn’t exactly a pro-baller business,” Dean said.
“Did you forget the gummy bears?” Jamie asked from the backseat. Dean sighed and tossed them back to her. “Thanks.”
“Okay, game plan. Jamie is gonna get the motel set up, see if Dad left anything and we are gonna go get intel. We need more information.”
“Yeah, like Dad ever leaves us with any. Why am I stuck at the motel?” Jamie said, sitting up and chewing on gummy bears.
“Because you are the youngest and the youngest does research.” Sam piped in. Jamie could tell he didn’t like the fact that she was on the hunt. She grumbled and turned to face away. Sam rolled his eyes and gave Dean a look.
Jamie listened as they bickered over the music. Eventually, they took off and Jamie was left at some rank motel in town.
“Just like the old days. It would be fun he said. yeah, if leaving me in the motel my entire life is a fun childhood.” Jamie muttered to herself as she entered the hotel. Her role in this family unit was to stay behind.
She entered the motel room, flipped on the switch, and almost relaxed till she looked up and saw the walls covered wall the wall with what she could only assume were her Dad’s notes. Taking in her surroundings, there were sigils painted on the doors and windows, salt lining every entrance. Even the floor vent was covered.
“Dang Dad, what did you get yourself into?” She asked herself. Walking to the wall and reading over her Dad’s notes she could barely make sense of any of it. There were papers covering the walls, strings, and sticky notes. It was like a conspiracy theory board or something.
“Alright Dad, let’s see what you saw.” She muttered to herself. This was something she discovered fairly recently, something she could only attribute to her inheritance.
Jamie first realized there was a chance she could experience visions when she started getting into thousands of pages of lore Bobby had amassed and continued to grow as he went on his hunts with Rufus. She didn’t know for sure until she met her ex-boyfriend. He had been lying to her and she knew it, she went to punch him and saw visions of him with one of the girls from the cheerleading team.
Jamie scoffed to herself as she remembered the moment she discovered her visions, but they weren’t visions of the future like the lore had described; as far as she could tell they were visions of the past. The most recent moments of the past, but moments that had already happened nonetheless.
She tried to tell Bobby but she just couldn’t. He was already keeping her hunting secret at the time and she didn’t want to burden him with another. So she practiced in secret when Bobby was away, she would make her way up to the attic where he put the majority of his daughter’s belongings. She would touch them and see flashing moments of his daughters playing with them. Likely the last time they ever touched the many toys up there.
“Alright Jamie, you got this. Before Sam and Dean come back.” She muttered to herself before taking a deep breath through her teeth. She focused like she did with the girl’s toys and closed her eyes.
She felt her heartbeat outside of her body as she watched from the perspective of the wall. She saw her Dad staring back at her. Behind him, he was aligned with a mirror that hung in the room. He was haggard, standing a ways away from the wall, before walking towards it. he was on the phone, talking to someone. She couldn’t make out the words but she could almost read his lips.
The vision cut off and Jamie felt like she had fallen from high up and just made an impact with the ground. She stumbled back from the force and planted onto the bed.
“That was useful.” She muttered to herself, rubbing her brow to soothe the oncoming headache before gently laying down.
—
Sam and Dean returned in suits, sighing as they opened the motel door. Jamie had called them and told them all about the Dad’s room and how she couldn’t make sense of anything.
“Did you find anything, Jamie?” Dean called out. He didn’t hear a response. “Jamie? Are you in the bathroom?” Dean called again. Dean looked at Sam. “Where is she?” Dean asked as he walked through the small room. Only the bathroom was separated and a small wall led to a closet.
“Have you tried calling her?” Sam said, walking around the room and staring at his father’s obsession.
Dean muttered something under his breath and grabbed his phone.
“She better pick up.” He muttered. as the phone rang. sam listened as it rang and rang.
“This is Jamie Winchester’s main line, leave a message after the tunes. Caio.”
“Dammit, Jamie. Why is she always running off without telling us? We got her that phone for a reason.” Dean muttered as he changed out of the suit.
Sam stayed silent and changed as well. “Maybe she is at the library digging something up.” He suggested. Dean always jumped to worst-case scenarios when it came to him and Jamie. He raised her the same way Dean raised him. He was surprised that after she graduated she didn’t hightail it out of there for her mom.
Dean was calling again and on the third ring, it picked up.
“Hi D.”
“Jamie Winchester you answer when I call!” Dean sighed. He was just relieved she was okay.
“Okay jeez, don’t go all ‘Dad’ on me. I’m at the library digging up some local lore. I happen to have respect for municipal buildings big bro.” Jamie joked. “I took the bus and put my phone on silent.”
“Did you find anything good?” Dean asked, rubbing the bridge of his nose. Already regret picking her up from Bobby’s to help. Deep down he knew he wouldn’t be able to focus if she wasn’t near. The last year taught him how much he needs his family.
“Actually, yes. I did. Just like you said, over the years the killings have happened routinely and on the same stretch of road. I think it a haunting. Meet me here and I’ll fill you in.” Jamie negotiated.
“Okay. Sammy and I will come get you.” Dean agreed hanging up and turning to his brother. Who was standing by the door with his “I told you so” face.
“not a word out of you,” Dean said pushing past him. Sam rolled his eyes with a scoff and grabbed his bag.
“Why did you even bring her? You know Dad is going to tear us a new one for putting Jamie in danger. She should be in Sioux Falls.” Sam said following after his brother.
“She came along anyway and you know Dad could never say no to her? Remember when he got her .45 for her 13th birthday?” Dean said.
“No, you got scared after a ghost tried to haunt her at school and pretended Dad left it.” Sam corrected. His brother always seemed to remember some things differently than he and his sister. "She got suspended for having rounds in her backpack.
“Whatever,” Dean said, they got into the car and made their way to the library in town.
“So, how has she been?” Sam asked as he skimmed over some newspaper.
“Who Jamie? She is fine?” Dean said shrugging his shoulders.
“Dean, she is our little sister,” Sam said rolling his eyes. “Did you even know she’s been looking for her mom, Frida? Have you or Dad even checked on her in the last year? She is hunting on her own for god’s sake!”
Dean grimaced and looked over at his brother. He couldn’t image what would happen to his sister if they let her find Frida but he could also imagine how she must have felt when he didn’t call. He didn’t have a response, all he could think in that second was remembering what those bodies just a floor above his sister went through and how she could have been next.
“She will never find Frida. I don’t know why Dad kept giving her false hope.” Dean said, shaking his head and looking out the window.
“Dude, that’s her mom. She should be allowed to know her at least as an adult and we both know, Dad probably knows that she won’t stop till she gets what she wants.” Sam said. "I would have killed for a chance to know Mom."
This was where a lot of their arguments started. Over Jamie. It was either Jamie, Dad, or hunting.
“Sam, you know why we can’t let that happen.”
“Why because of something Jamie had nothing to do with and can’t control? We don’t even know if Frida went haywire on those guys that night.”
“That is exactly why. We are lucky Jamie didn’t get the full package. We got enough to worry about as it is.”
“How do we know that De-” Sam was about to start again, but the car was parked, and Dean looked up at the library.
“Sam.” Dean turned to his younger brother. His face was calm and his eyes watered for a second. His siblings had grown so much since he had last seen them. “I- never mind.” Dean didn’t even know what he was going to say. He got out and marched towards the library. Sam followed.
The boys walked in and searched for their little sister. Sam spotted her first and ruffled her hair before pulling a chair up. Just to get pushed out of the way by Dean.
“Hey! We have work to do, stop goofing off.” Jamie said. She hated how rough her brothers could get in public.
“Bitch.”
“Jerk.”
“Here look at this. I found this blog that talks about a close encounter someone had a couple of years ago. They also saw a woman in white that night but get this. This person heard her say something just before making it off the bridge the way he came. I think there are some embellishments but…” Jamie trailed off. She knew she at least found another witness account at best, her interweb slouthing skills needed serious improvement.
“here let me see,” Sam said. Jamie moved over, making room for her big brother. Dean wasn’t even paying attention. He was checking out the young librarian when he saw stacking books.
“Right here.” Sam pointed out. Jamie read the old article Sam had found.
“Dean, we found it,” Jamie said, tapping her eldest brother. “Does it say where she is buried, Sam?” Jessie asked, leaning forward.
Sam had to take a second. He felt like he had whiplash. He didn’t know how to feel about his baby sister going after a ghost with them, let alone whatever Dad was hunting. He puts it aside when Dean peaches them both away.
“No, but the survivor says that he heard the woman say “I can never go home.” The same thing that was in Dad’s messages.”
“Well?”
“Constance Welch. Committed suicide after her two children drowned, and threw herself off a local bridge.”
“brutal.” He muttered. “Alright, find out where she is buried Jamie, Sam and I will check out where she died,” Dean said.
“Okay, can I get some pizza money?” Jamie asked. She knew better than to argue on a hunt but at the same time, she couldn’t help but yearn to be in their place, actually saving people and hunting things.
Dean scoffed and reached into his pocket. Handing his sister and twenty and leaning down to make eye contact with her.
"If you aren't back at the motel by the time we are, I'm going to kill you." He said with a small smile.
"You couldn't even if you tried." She sassed back, taking the twenty and pocketing it. Jamie and Dean stared each other down
Back at the motel they were, Jamie splayed herself out on one of the beds. She felt exhausted, with no idea why but if her brothers-
“Why are you sleeping, Jamie? We still have some bones to burn.” Dean said.
“Ugh, can’t you just leave me alone for one minute? Ever since we got in the car it’s Jamie this and Jamie that. If you weren’t gonna let me hunt why bring me at all Dean!?” With that she stood up and walked out again, handing her jacket pockets and a scowl on her face
“Dude, what’s with her?” Dean asked confused as to why his sister was suddenly giving him so much attitude, they were fine less than an hour ago.
“I’ll go talk to her,” Sam said, zipping up his jacket and walking outside. Dean sat down and looked around.
Sam didn’t have to go far to find his kid sister. She was leaning up against the side of the motel, her head in her hands.
“Hey, June Bug.” Sam called, using her old nickname from when they were kids.
“I’m not a kid anymore Sammy.”
“And I’m not a chubby twelve year old but here we are.” He said, moving next to her and leaning on the ledge of the wall. “So. Are we going to talk about what just happened?”
“Igh. I don’t know. He is just like Dad. He rolls up expecting us to just follow him and put up with these stupid orders. I’ve been on my solo hunts from start to finish Sam! Why can’t they trust me to help? I have half a mind Dean set this all up just to get us together and I love it when we are together but when we are we-” She said, rubbing her brow as she spoke.
“We’re pretty nuclear, I know, June bug.” He said with a lazy smile he always had when he knew he was right. Sam reached up, pulling her hand down. He didn’t know if she kicked her hair-pulling habit but he didn’t want it to start again either way.
“Hey, I get it. Trust me but you know we are just trying to protect you. Hunting isn’t exactly a safe career choice and there sure as hell isn’t workman’s comp.” He tried to joke.
“Oh really, is it any safer than leaving a ten-year-old and a toddler in some random motel with a clerk who is probably a pedophile?” She asked, sitting up to face her brother. She was in his face, Sam never backed away from her though. He didn’t even flinch at his baby sister. All he could do was internally laugh at the irony of their family’s dynamic.
Sam was much bigger than she was. He was bigger than all of them actually but Jamie had no real fear of her brothers. They never saw her as any real threat either. Most of their restyling matches ended up with Dean holding her down while Sam ticketed her. This wasn’t one of those situations.
“Are you gonna go back to Bobby’s?” Sam asked.
“No, the only thing waiting for me there is a car that has no belt, Bobby, and a bunch of faces I don’t want to see.” Jamie kicked a loose rock away from her boot.
“Have you considered college? You’re wicked smart with machines, like Dean.”
“Yeah, and abandon my family, that would go over well. Ya know Sam when you left none of us talked to each other for three days. I know we grew up pretty unnoticed but we were never completely abandoned. You got to leave and you left me behind too.”
“Ja-Jamie come on. You can’t hold that against me forever you knew I had to leave!” Sam tried to argue.
“Sam, you forget I can feel your true intentions. Whether I want to or not so no matter how much you try to explain it away with all your logic and luscious hair, I know exactly how you felt that night and that won’t change.”
Sam huffed and chewed his cheek. If he knew one thing about Jamie Winchester, it was that she knew how to hold a grudge.

~𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮~
The exams were coming up. Being the good student you were, obviously you were prepared for the exam! But, since a little last minute revision doesn't hurt, why not do it, right?
This seemed like a great idea to you, but to Childe...Horrific. Scary. Terrifying. What was he going to do without you!? Your clingy boyfriend wanted to be with you every single second of your life.
Although it was a tiny bit annoying sometimes, you still found it absolutely adorable.
Childe had insisted he join you while you were studying. He even went as far as to pinky promise that he would study with you and not fool around, but here he was, whining for your attention.
He wanted your attention, no, he NEEDED it, and desperately.
"Baby, look at my handsome face, not the boring math worksheet~"
He whined teasingly while nudging your shoulder.
He still could not get any reaction from you but he had a secret weapon under his sleeve. He knew it would get your attention. Your cute boyfriend, laying his head on your soft, plush thighs. Childe seemed to have an obsession with your thighs and your lap.
He gently laid his head onto your thighs, his ginger locks tickling the bare skin. You were only wearing shorts, after all, comfort mattered the most when you were in your apartment.
You let out a soft giggle while the ticklish sensation sent a spark of surprise down your spine. You lovingly looked at him. He was so handsome. Handsome was an understatement. He was the hottest man you had ever seen.
You could not resist but you knew that your examinations were more important. You gave him a few light headpats before continuing to do your math worksheet.
Light clicks from your calculator was all that could be heard alongside the soft blowing sounds from the fan. You had not realised that Childe had fell asleep.
Cuteness overload! His adorable face! And he fell asleep on your thighs?! Too adorable! You lovingly planted a kiss on his forehead after carrying him to your bed.
It was a lot of work for a girl like you, which basically looked micro-sized compared to your handsome boyfriend.
Suddenly, he awoke sleepily from his slumber after you kissed him. He looked at you and gave you a gentle smile.
"Come join me, angel... You can study later...please..."
He pleaded, with his voice still raspy from awaking from his peaceful slumber.
How could you resist his puppy dog eyes begging you to stay with him. Without a second thought, you jumped into his arms, feeling his calloused hands snaking around your waist.
This was definitely a perfect moment between the two of you, although you had not planned for this to happen. Cuddles are still the best after all.
~END~
Wow, it was kind of short (sorry ╥﹏╥) but so adorable~ Thanks anon for the wonderful request. I had a ton of fun writing it! If everyone reading wouldn't mind offering me their precious likes and follows on their way our, I would greatly appreciate it~

᯽your pov BRING…you slap your alarm which read 8:39 “SHIT” you shot up and hoiked on clothes and ran into the kitchen you hurriedly grabbed some toast and ran back into your bedroom carrying a red backpack.
“bye mom!!” You called as you ran out of your apartment building into the nearest ally way.
“if i want to get to school on time i better swing there!” You thought and changed into your costume and prayed a local gang didn’t decided to rob a bank. You summersaulted into the air and landed gracefully on you feet in a near by ally and changed into your school clothes before sprinting the extra 2 blocks.
You stuff you bag at the bottom of you locker and ran to your first class. Chemistry. You weren’t awful at chemistry as you had to make spidey-solution but you saw it more as baking then chemical mixing which is why you often failed most of science. The class was just starting luckily.
“Y/N where have you been!! You friend Jihyo said. “I saved u a seat.” And gestured to the empty desk next to her.
“sorry!! I tried to swing here but it still took forever” Jihyo was the only person who knew you were spiderman.
“alright class today were doing advanced quadratic formula’s so im going to pair you up…ummm….Jihyo with c/n (classmate’s name)….c/n with c/n and Y/n you with Jisung.” Your Chemistry teacher explained in his monotone voice.
“who?” You thought. However when you saw him walking over to your table you knew immediately. Han jisung one of the most smartest science students in stayville high.

ꕥ jisung pov “alright class today were doing advanced quadratic formula’s so im going to pair you up…ummm….Jihyo with c/n (classmate’s name)….c/n with c/n and Y/n you with Jisung.” the Chemistry teacher explained in his monotone voice.
Jisung knew immediately who you were. Y/n was know for your sharp answers and often whats seen as “lazy” attitude towards science or any subject for that matter! However, when you hold an instrument suddenly your transform into a genius! You excelled in music being stayville’s top music student.
“hi!” He spoke trying not to sound to corny
—————————————————————————
᯽your pov
“Hi!” Jisung spoke to me. God he sounded adorably corny.
“hey!” You spoke back and smiled.
“so should we get working on these equations?” He asked pulling up a chair next to me with his pencil case in hand.
You nodded in agreement and read out this first equation.
“Ey = Eosin (kx - wt) what the fuck?!?!!” You murmured to yourself and looked over at Jisung who was scribbling away.
“done! :)” He replied a few moments later.
You looked at him gobsmacked, jaw hanging open. How? That question was impossible you told him and explained how every other question look like a cryptic code to you. He laughed and said he could teach you further if you like after school you agreed and gave him your address and he gave you his. You exchanged numbers and headed to your next lesson. —————————————————————————
ꕥjisungs pov
Lessons are finally over. Jisung walks back to his apartment when he feel a buzz from my pants. He looks at his phone and see a text from y/n “hey its y/n! Am i free to come round at the weekend?” He replies trying not to sound to desperate or dry telling them its ok to come round this weekend.
ok he needed to clean my room but first. He needed to patrol
no one really knew he was spiderman apart from his best friend Lee minho. He had been spiderman for a while now however there was a new spiderman that had been appearing recently grabbing the media’s attention. He had never had contact with them but was well aware of there presence.
CRASH
an alarming noise arose from a near by street followed by car alarms and burts of flames.

᯽your pov CRASH
an alarming noise arose from a near by street followed by car alarms and bursts of flames.
Your spidey-senses tingled and you zwipped away to the source of the commotion.
You once again landed gracefully on the street to asses the problem. There was a bank robber from a local gang but whats the they’re using? All of a sudden a gang member arises out of a black car. All of a sudden he flicks something out of his hand. A long metallic sword appears with glowing purple detailing.
You thwip you wrist if fast as you can. Web after web he would hold. You were struggling to hold back everyone when a black figure swings through the night. They were so majestic- wait fuck! Thats spiderman!!
“need a hand” he said cockily
“thank that would be nice” you said panting out of breath and wounded.
Together fighting side by side you fought all the bad guys taking them down gracefully and skill fully.
—————————————————————————
ꕥjisungs pov Spiderman (jisung) and the mysterious spider girl (you) finish your fight. Spiderman and you sit on a roof deciding to strike up a conversation.
“so who on earth are you” he spoke
“oh im spider-girl i got bitten about 3 months ago and ive been her ever since” You exclaimed.
You were the most gorgeous superhero or human (he hoped) he had ever seen.
-the weekend-
Jisung was spend the entire morning cleaning his room from top too bottom. After all you were coming round. He made sure to hide all of his spiderman stuff in his closet.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
—————————————————————————
᯽your pov
You walked to Jisungs apartment looking at your phone for direction.
You rang the doorbell and was met by Jisungs bright smile. You smiled back and entered following him too his room. You sat on his bed taking in everything. All his posters, photos and abandoned homework. He reached into his desk and pulled out a chemistry book and sat on the floor, gesturing you to follow him. You sat down next to him listening to everything he was saying.
—————————————————————————
ꕥjisungs pov
Jisung tried to teach you everything he could think and even tried to not make it sound to “sciency” however he found it hard to focus. Especially when you giggled at his joke or when you leaned over him to look at something is his text book. He felt himself getting hotter by the second. He definitely feels a crush arising so before he became totally in love with you he had to become closer to you. —————————————————————————
ꕥjisungs pov He decided to invite you to his house again. And again. And again. However he couldn’t deal with you just staying over for and hour or two or having late night talk before falling asleep on him which made him fall even more in love with you.
he had to ask you out. Tonight when you come over for the billionth time.
—————————————————————————
᯽your pov
You had a crush on jisung. You adored him. His smile, his laugh, the way he focuses on science and his dorky little quirks. You had to confess. Tonight when you go round to his.
—————————————————————————
ꕥjisungs pov “hi y/n” he smiled awkwardly. “hey sung :)” you say cheerfully back.
You followed him to his room as normal. Jisung was sweating he was going to confess in less than an hour. Never in his life has he confessed to a girl.
“hey y/n can i ask you something?” He said lowering his tone.
“sure are you ok?” You asked concerned.
“so um i have kinda liked you for a while and i was wondering if you would like to hang out as more than friends?” He said fiddling with his fingers in his lap.
You giggled and looked at him shyly. “Sung, i have liked you for a while now too and i was going to say the same thing to you” you said.
—————————————————————————
᯽your pov Oh my goodness. Jisung likes you back!!!! Han jisung who not to long ago you didn’t even know existed! That didn’t matter right now in this moment you were currently fighting some horrific monster you were currently holding its jaw open with your arms trying not to get eaten. Its green saliva dripping down oozing onto your mask.
You weren’t looking when all of a sudden another monster came and slashed you back you fell limp and dropped to the floor. Just as you were about a become a monsters dinner. Thwip thwip webs came flying at the monsters face. SPIDERMAN!!
—————————————————————————
ꕥjisungs pov
Jisung fought and fought after a lot of fighting he was about to swing away when he noticed your limp body covered in gaping slash wounds. He picked you up and swung you to the nearest rooftop.
Your mask was peeling off and he thought you lips looked familiar. How could he ever forget your lips.
“y/n…oh my gosh” Jisung said his voice trembling fron inside his suit.
he carried your body to his apartment and laid you on the bed and took of your mask fully. His eyes turning wide as his suspicions confirmed you were lying unconscious on his bed. He sat next to you waiting for you to wake up.
—————————————————————————
᯽your pov
You slowly blinked open to see yourself in Jisung’s bedroom. “Oh no…” you thought. Your face felt bare as you realised you didn’t have you mask. “Please don’t say..”
“y/n!! Are you okay oh my gosh” he said panicking and standing up fron his chair.
“Jisung i can explain i promise!” You said sitting up frantically but remembering thats your in pain and groaning.
“hey hey y/n its on take it easy…i kinda have something to show you” he said his tone lowering once again. He walked to his closet and pulled out a suit that was a bit wrecked from the fight.
“jisung your-“
“i know” he said nodding.

im sorry I kept this in my inbox for so long when I said I would write it but low-key writing smut is hard asf for me with more than two ppl to focus on and I feel like it never comes out right so I just try my best 😭
----
"Oh what an interesting sight I have here," Sasha chuckled to herself as she entered the bedroom, feigning surprise to find Anetra laid on her back, wrists and ankles tied to the bed posts and Marcia face buried in a pillow with their pretty bottom up in the air as if she hadn't knowingly put them in those positions.
She traced a tiny heart on Marcia's ass, sending shivers down their spine. "So pretty, darling, it's too bad neither of you behaved while mommy was at work. Do you have anything to say for yourselves? Netra, how about you?"
Anetra tugged lightly on her restraints, whining when they didn't budge. "I'm sorry, mommy, I didn't mean to!"
Sasha hummed. "Oh, you didn't mean to? I suppose you what? Fell face first into Marcia's pussy on accident?"
Marcia stifled a laugh, silencing when Sasha landed one warning spank to her ass to shut them up.
"Now, I'm not an unreasonable person, I don't have many rules for you to follow, but touching each other without me or my permission," she tutted disapprovingly, "is one of those rules. Sue me for wanting to know what my babies are up to. Now, here's what's going to happen, I know sometimes mistakes are made so take this as your warning punishment. I've chosen things you both can handle, but like I said, this is your warning, next time mommy might not be so kind. Do you understand?"
"Yes, mommy," they both said in unison, earning them a smile from Sasha.
"Good job, now lets get started."
With skilled fingers, Sasha tied a vibrator to Anetra's thigh, the pulsing just barely making her shiver. It wasn't enough to feel any direct pleasure, but enough to make her squirm and whine, tummy aching with the need for pleasure.
"Now, Neech, you've earned yourself some edging. I have a remote right here and while I give Marc the spanking they deserve, I'm gonna turn this up and down. You must stay still and quiet, got it? If I have to stop what I'm doing to reprimand you, you're not cumming at all."
Anetra wanted to whine and complain, but she kept it in, nodding in agreement.
"Good. Your turn, Marc. I'm sure you heard about your spanking?"
Marcia nodded into the pillow, mumbling a quiet 'yes'.
If Sasha wanted to be mean, she'd pull them up by their hair and make them repeat it. 'Yes, mommy' as the only acceptable response, but Sasha was feeling generous and let it be, the pink painted wooden paddle in her hand a harsh enough punishment.
"Good, you're gonna count for me, okay? Lose count and I start over."
She started off soft, no harder than a gentle swat with her hand, and Marcia counted each one diligently.
"One.."
"Two..."
"Three...."
While Sasha continued to spank Marcia, she also played with the settings of Anetra's vibrator, smirking at each little whimper and whine she let out as she messed with the settings, high and then low, higher and then nearly completely off.
By the time she got up to 15 spanks, tears pooled in Marcia's eyes and Anetra was nearly sobbing, begging for mercy.
"Oh are my babies just about done with your punishment?"
"Please," Anetra cried.
Sasha laughed and turned the vibrator all the way up, leaving Anetra's legs shaking.
"5 more spanks for Marcia and both of you will be finished. Neech, do not cum, do you hear me? If you do, you will not cum for a week."
The thought made Anetra whine, but she had to put all her focus on not cumming and making a mess on the clean bedsheets.
"Where were we, now?" She cooed, landing a harsh spank on Marcia's ass.
"Sixteen," Marcia moaned.
Sasha landed another hit, this time harder than the last.
"Seventeen."
"Three more, love, you're doing great."
"Eighteen," Marcia cried, voice strained.
"Ninete-ah!"
"Oh let's try that again, I couldn't hear you."
"Nineteen!' Marcia all but yelled on impact.
"And twenty!"
As she finished counting, Marcia collapsed in a heap of sobs and Sasha turned off Anetra's vibe, the younger girl sighing in what sounded like slight relief.
She put a soothing hand on Marcia's bottom and squeezed Anetra's hand. "You both did so so well, I'm so proud of you both," Sasha smirked. "Not let's get to your rewards, my loves."

Lapse In Misjudgement (Chapter 3: B.I.A AU)
the night was so peaceful, having fallen asleep earlier than he normally did. he shifted sleepily in his blankets as he rolled onto the other side of the bed, the cold side.
he felt a small weight shift against his body, he slowly opened his eyes, groggily, met with a small face right infront of him "...s-...sans?" the small skeleton gave a tiny little giggle, whether that little giggle of his was mischievous or just a normal little giggle was up for debate- "sans what are you doing out of bed?' he gently rubbed his skull.
the little skeleton scooted closer as he held a small bowl of cereal- it.....was...soggy marshmallows...in...oatmeal??? wait- "how did you get in the cupboards?!" he sat up quickly, he seemed so proud of himself, he beamed happily "did...are- you hurt?!" he sat the bowl on the nightstand as he lifted the baby bones into his arms as he examined him closely, seeing no bruises or injuries, he sat him back down; satisfied.
"well...thank you..." to took a bite, 'not...half bad....' he thought for a moment as he finished the bowl. the five year old had yet to utter a single word, he.. had a little trouble spelling- but thats...normal....right? he scratched at his neck "okay sans, what did you do?" he asked as the small skeleton wiggled off the bed, he toddles down the hall to hs room- as papyrus opened his door and turned the lights on-
his eyes lit up with horror- orange and blue crayon markings everywhere "oh....my asgore- sans!!" the little baby bones swayed as he gave a little giggle, hiding his hands behind his back. papyrus grabbed some cleaner and a few rags as he knelt down "sans!!" he glanced at the little skeleton behind him, he hide a wide smile behind his hands "Why would you think this was okay?!" he pointed his tiny little finger to the northern wall, under the window- a poorly scribbled portrait of papyrus. he wouldve thought it was cute if he wasnt so ungodly tired- he squinted as he tried to read the scribbled words 'THE GREAT PAPYRUS' it was horribly misspelled so it was more of 'DA GART PIEPUS' the R was backwards, he gave a nod in acknowledge "thank you sans....i appreciate it...but next time you wanna draw use the paper!" he pointed to the paper with crayons strewn about the little plastic table.
sans gave a soft furrow of his brow as he watched his elder brother scrub away his hard work- he paused as he rushed over to stop, he pulled at his hands, grabbed at the rag "sans! stop!" papyrus gently nudged him away, tears started to form as he started pounding at his arm, trying to get him to stop, why was he scrubbing away his mural?! did..he not like his drawing?.. he whimpered softly as he ran-
-
papyrus wiped away the soft beads of sweat that had collected on his skull, he smiled as he looked around- the room was clean- as.....clean as it could be... he threw the rag away in the laundry- he paused "sans?" he looked around "sans? where did you-" he paused "oh dear..." he wandered around the house "sans! sansy! please! please come out-" had he run out of the house?! had he slipped and fallen?! he thought for a moment before giving a gentle but loud clap "sans? clap if you can hear me-" he clapped again- he went still and silent before hearing the very tiny sound of two tiny hands in response- under the stairs-.
he opened the stair closet "sans..." the tiny skeleton whimpered, shining away from the light as he hid his face, tears falling down his little cheeks "....sans...im....sorry-i didnt realize how important your mural was....i appreciate the sentiment- is was very good! i just want you to understand- you cant draw on the walls...." he slowly pulled at him- sans gave a soft growl and pulled away- papyrus sighed softly "do...you want me to stay with you? or...do you wanna stay here? and let you be?" the small skeleton slowly climbed out, crawling into his elder brothers arms. he leaned his tiny skull into his chest- his little way of apologizing.
"....i apologize if i seemed angry....im...just tired......and ive got too much to do..."
sans cuddled closer to him. papyrus sighed "....i guess it could wait ...cmon lets go back to bed.." he gently kissed the top of his head as he put him back in his bed, he covered him in his blankets. he turned on his night light and closed the door. he yawned and stretched as he headed back to bed himself-
-
papyrus shifted softly as he woke up- he glanced around- "...ugh...-" he was still in his pajamas- but his clock read 11:30- "how?! i over slept!!!" he rushed as he got dressed, put his boots on and rushed into sans' room- he lifted him gently as he got him dressed, racing to put on his shoes and jacket as he rushed to the ferry to hotland.
miraculously sans was...still asleep- he'll be fine for just a few more minutes- the second the boat hit the dock, papyrus rushed out of the boat; holding onto sans for dear life, practically flying out- he rushed to the lab as he knocked "cmon alphys-" he paced as the doors opened "ah- p-papyrus! come on in!' he stepped through the door "im not late am i?" alphys shook her head "no, y-you're right on time-" she smiled graciously "you...s-seem out of....sorts-" she pointed out to his disheveled appearance- he paused- he glanced into al's wall mirror- his boots were on the wrong feet! for god sake! his shirt was inside out and he was still wearing his pajama bottoms! augh! he sighed "im- i apologize about my appearance alphys- we...had a bit of a problem.."
alphys glanced up at him "how so?" she asked, lifted her glasses back on her nose "...well...' he explained the crayon mishap- she gave a little chuckle "s-sorry" she smiled softly "well...i-if your r-ready to s-start we can-" the tall skeleton sighed and nodded "yes- please lets-"
-
"okay darling- can you say this word?" mettaton smiled as he held a small card- a picture of a cat with the word, he showed the card to sans- he could care less about the word o the picture- he was fascinated by the lego's infront of him- mettaton sighed as he shook his head toward the window "hm...has- h-he said ANY words?" alphys turned to papyrus "no.....not yet....but he has made sounds! thats- close right?" alphys started writing on her clipboard "...well...we can't force him t-to speak- he needs t-to talk on his own...but we-...weill h-have to show SOME force-"
mettaton watched the little baby bones "cmon darling- please? try atleast"
sans titled his head up to look at the robotic entertainer and stuck his tongue out as he went back to smashing the toy bricks together, mettaton gave a soft sigh.
"....have.....you ever considered that...h-he...might be.....autistic?' alphys turned up from her clipboard.

Bless. I have a little more p5 g/t for you. Akeshuake focused because i LOVE THEM.
These are all taken from my little idea folder thing, so some of them have dialogue/are story based and some of them are just little concepts.
(P5R SPOILERS)
⭑ “Here, you’ll have to stay in my pocket today.”
“What…?” Akechi growls. “I am not doing that.”
“You dont have a choice, Akechi. You have to come to school with me somehow.” Akira huffs.
“B-but can’t I just… can’t you hold me, or something?” The brunette adjusts his clothes anxiously, but he still glares tiny daggers into the giant.
Akira shakes his head. “I cant risk you getting crushed, or someone seeing you. I’m sorry. Its just for today, until we can get the group together to fix this.”
Akechi hesitantly agrees and Akira helps him climb into his chest pocket. All day at school, Akechi can feel the boom of Akira’s voice, the way his hand clutches his pocket every so often to ensure Akechi is still there. He feels so protected, and he’s never felt that way before. Eventually, in the middle of class, Akira opens his pocket to see a tiny, tiny akechi asleep in there. He audibly awwwwes until Morgana and Ann ask him what he’s looking at.
⭑ Akira being referred to as a gentle giant is the best thing ever like yes! He is a pretty giant boy! Giant Akira gazing downwards, his big eyelashes, his powerful, strong fingers that could crush with little effort, but his gentle touch. His feet crashing into the ground and sending people stumbling, but so incredibly careful not to crush anyone accidentally. Gentle boy with his tiny leblanc family and his tiny thieves and his tiny rival
⭑ Akechi picking up tiny Joker and mumbling “Now, what am I going to do with you…?” Is SO GOOD
⭑ Akechi chooses against killing akira au. He realizes Akira can be a great help in taking down Shido. However, he needs to get him out of that damn interrogation room. Years of work on a certain device has given him a solution.
“Hello. Im here to rescue you.”
“Akechi…” akira breathes, dumbfounded. “You came for me.”
“There’s no time for your brainless sentimentality. Sorry for this.” He aims a strange looking ray gun at him, before-
Akira blinks, groaning. “What…” he tries to gather his bearings, before realizing that a giant, gloved hand is coming towards him. He screams in horror as he realizes that he’s been shrunk!! The hand wraps around him tightly, the leather rubbing against his skin as he kicks his legs in a panic.
“Quiet, you little thief! You’re going to get us found out!” Akechi puts a finger to Akira’s mouth. Akira weakly nods in pure fear, before Akechi drops him in his pocket.
⭑ On that note. Goro with a shrinking function in his ray gun!
⭑ Giant goro petting akira absently without even realizing he’s doing it, or, pretending so. Telling him he’s a cute little thing. Akira leaning into his gentle, but enormous touch. His hand batting goro’s enormous finger away when he starts poking and prodding him teasingly. Akira sleeping in goro’s glove. <3
⭑ Tiny bullets ricocheting off of Goro’s black mask gauntlet because he dropped his enormous hand in front of Joker and Violet to protect them from shadows in Maruki’s palace ^-^
⭑ Staying on the Maruki thought, Akechi showing up to Leblanc in that first little bit of the third semester, except he’s absolutely enormous, to the point where he can barely fit a foot into the tiny alleys of Yongen-Jaya. He gets Akira’s attention by knocking on his window with the back of his knuckle. Akira practically leaping out of his window to see him, and Akechi picks him out of his window by the back of his shirt. Blah blah Maruki made him big so Akira would be obsessed and too happy to reject the false reality blah blah I would be happy with a giant akechi too
⭑ Satanael Joker with clouds circling his horns because he’s just so big. Scooping all of the thieves into one hand because they’re so small and pressing them ever so gently to his chest in a hug. He laughs softly and it feels like an earthquake to everybody around him. Shooting Yaldabaoth in the head himself YAY!
i have majorrr anxiety so This is so scary but i feel so validated in my ideas thank you all mwah mwah <33
#giant/tiny#g/t#persona 5 g/t#yay! giant akira!#i hope my writing isnt confusing to read oh man#wtf happened to the formatting

Business date at the dinner table-???? Don’t have a good name ‘fo this.
Rush, Ambush, Seek and Figure [Try] discussing the terms of their partnership..
Do you like boring business adult talk? No? TOO BAD!!!
Seekrushbushgure
Tw//Figure had ouchers when it had snare ouch ouch..Uhh..Rush childhood tramua :( death ment, Ambush makes a lightly suggestive joke but nothing explicit.
They aren’t in a partnership (scream at me to make partnership explanation post.) yet.
Seek and Ambush are more so..courting then dating while Rush and Figure are attempting not to loudly kiss at the table.
Smacks head on table repeatedly, also one more note- im still attempting to figure out a rhyme and rhythm to where I should put bold text I’m so sorry- have some ‘mo entity lore for now.
This isn’t the main au but it’s got its the same lore, just comes with the implications of what would happen if the two families merged.
WAS ONLY BETA READ IN THE FIRST BIT- I SPENT ALL NIGHT AND IM SO TIRED
The joyful sounds of noises of their children rang throughout the air.
Their parents occupied a table nearby. A well-prepared meal and their thoughts shared before them. All of them in suits and ties, an air of formality surrounding them.
Rush rested its head on the table, it’s plate empty and its chest rising and falling tiredly full of fish. Figure was right next to the rotund entity, its body curled up close to Rush’s.
Quietly brushing its fur with the tips its gnarled fingers in fascination. It collected the fluffy fog in between its fingers and felt it slip between their cracks with each passing caress, getting some content rumbles out of Rush. As the two continued their affectionate exchange. Their other two partners, Ambush and Seek spoke in hushed tones. They where on the other side of table sat watching their little ones like a hawk, their meals unfinished but their wineglasses partially emptied in their hands.
“So ehhh, Seek.” Ambush buzzed, its tail swaying in slow, sweeping, repeating, completive motions that doubled back in repetition. It reached into its brain for the first words that relayed into its mind. “Events. Occurrences.” It shook its wine awkwardly.
“We’ll have to act fast if we want to this.. plan of ours come into fruition..” Seek murmured, swishing its wine gently with its hand.
Ambush raised an eyebrow and took a sip of wine.
“Never took ‘yeh for one to rush things…”
“I just..I want to make this quick and efficient..the good things may not last..” It closed its eye and gripped the handle of its wine glass, regaining its composure unostentatiously. “I want to be prepared this time.”
Ambush sat there silently for a moment, placing down its wine glass and casting a glance towards Sally and Screech roughhousing on top of a nearby table. She managed to pin the round, goopy entity beneath her webbed talons, laughing maniacally as Screech snapped and thrashed excitedly beneath her.
She always did have her aunt’s laugh.
“Hey! Get off the table before you get hurt!”
The pair whined, but reluctantly complied. Rolling off the table and blissfully returning to wacking each other with their little tendrils and paws.
Ambush turned back towards Seek, who still had its eye closed in contemplation.
“Ehm...Seek..I uh..”
“Hmm?”
“...You’re a good winemaker.”
Seek rippled a tiny bit, opening its eye and lifting up its wine glass. Looking at the vermilion liquid behind the glass with a tiny bit of reverence. Its eye then drifted back to Ambush with a now slightly friendlier look in it.
“I like to think so..” It leaned forward, it propped its chin in its hand and its pupil focused curiously on Ambush.
“..You’re a splendid cook you know- Do you cook all the time for your family?”
Ambush gave Seek a bashful look before taking another sip of its wine.
“Eh, Sometimes.. but not always. Rush is definitely the better cook-“
The large, foggy entity unhinged its maw to speak and when it did, its voice sounded like a deflated balloon. Its eyes partially shut in blissful sleepiness as Figure groomed the top part of its fluffy head like a spa treatment.
“Nooo I’m noooot…”
“You are too! Remember the baked ziti?”
“Naaaaaah..” Rush purred a little as Figure affectionately licked its cheek. “Anyone can…follow a book..recipe..” Rush’s words faded away into soft rumbles.
Seek turned to look at Sally, who was now excitedly running Screech ragged around the courtyard.
“Your Sally is a lively one.”
“..Going to be ‘our’ Sally soon..” Figure cooed, licking Rush’s smiling cheek affectionately.
“Mm, what a wild, rambunctious daughter I’m going to have then.” Seek said with a noticeable ripple.
“Do you cook Figure?~” Rush murmured, still rumbling sleepily.
“With help from Seek or our eldest, yes.~” Figure laid its head on top of Rush’s furry head before a small rip was heard and a soft “Oh dear-“ was heard.
“Ah shit, here Figure lemme help you with that.” Carefully Ambush reached over and tucked the now ripped sleeve of its shirt before stepping back. Feeling Figure grow a warm and turning just a tiny hint of magenta itself.
Seek took another sip of wine, slightly amused but still formal-sounding as it spoke.
“..Speaking of our children..that’s eight of them combined in total, yes?”
“Unless we’re planning on having more of ‘em? Yeh, just eight.” Ambush took a casual sip of wine while its gooey partner nodded.
“..You know Fig..with all your pretty poems..and wine..If children where grapes..we’d have a vineyard..It’d be a nice title to a book..”
“Rush, dear. How much have you had to drink?”
“Pasta, not the wine that got me..” Rush yawned a wide yawn that smelt faintly of catfish and charcoal. “Got Figure too..”
Figure warbled a tiny bit before yawning itself. Its voice grew a tad lower and a bit more thoughtful.
“..Children..between us, Ambush?”
“Eh?”
Figure shook its head and wrapped an arm across Rush’s body and pressed its face into Rush’s dark, comforting fog.
“Never mind, probably the wine-”
Ambush crossed its talons, a concerned look crossed its sockets.
“Talk to me hun. You said something about children between us?”
“..Like between you and Seek or..maybe me and Rush..or you and me..did you mean that?”
Ambush shrugged.
“Ehh, I was more so talking in general about em- but now that you did bring it up- were do you fish in that particular pond?”
Figure stayed painfully silent, but seemed it didn’t need to talk because Seek had already seized words like prey in talons.
“If Figure has to carry? Absolutely not. What happened last time was utterly atrocious and I do not wish for it to experience that EVER again.” Seek said with a curt hiss that caused Rush to flinch a little.
“..Sorry-“
“It’s okay...”
Ambush had an uneasy look in its eyes, it fiddled its talons.
“Is..pitching the same as catching?”
Seek turned towards Figure and waited for a response. It didn’t lift its head as it spoke in a disconcerted warble.
“I don’t..mind..but like Seek said..I’ve always had..troubles..”
Rush placed a large, comforting hand on Figure’s chest. Pulling it close and softly whispering something into its ear that made it less tense and even a tad flustered.
“Don’t ever feel pressured to do either of those things my dearest.” Seek said, its eye softening a little. “Besides, there’s other ways to have them without hurting you..” Seek turned towards Ambush and “As for my feelings on that particular subject..-“ Seek took a smaller sip of wine, its eye flitting towards Rush for a long moment before its stern gaze met Ambush. Studying it for a moment before answering.
“..I’d rather focus on tending to the ones we have as of now.” It poured itself some more wine and offered some to the green entity. “Though, I am a tad curious Ambush, Rush, Tell me; what’s your current sentiment regarding them?”
“..Nn.. don’t mind..”
“..Eh.”
“..’Eh?’ That’s all? Well, come on..don’t be a stranger dear-”
Ambush blushed, it sheathed its talons and scratched the back of its neck. “..Well, its never really been on our minds..So..we haven’t been consciously trying ya know?”
“Fair enough.. Rush..?”
Rush didn’t respond, its eyes closed deep in either contemplation, tiredness or both. Finally, after a long moment, Rush opened its eyes again and spoke with a tinge of melancholy sleepiness.
“..Same thing as Ambush..As long as their safe, happy and not growin up in a sewer like their daddy..did..” Rush’s words faded into incomprehensible murmurs before at least managing to phonate one coherent sentence.
“..You’ll keep them safe, right..?”
Seek lowered its voice, it drank some more wine and then put down the glass and then set the glass down carefully. Talking about this sort of thing was never easy for the entity.
“That’s what we’re doing this for..if we’re lost..you’ll take care of mine and if you..were to be killed in some..way.” Seek flinched, but its eye remained determined and focused, leaning forward and lightly taking Rush's fluffy head in its hand and its voice softened. “We’ll take care of yours.." It gave it a small kiss with its gooey face that was lightly reciprocated as Rush wrapped its large hands around Seek's waist and pushed it into the little cuddle it had with Figure. "A- R-Rush- oh dear, you're squishing me-" Ambush gave a staticky laugh, reaching forward to snatch Seek from Rush's 'death-grip' with a few light tugs and pulled a now malformed and melty seek from Rush's claws. "I see you got a taste of what I gotta deal with every morning.~" Seek slowly reformed itself into humanoid shape with a huff, stretching its newly formed arms. "..What, being violently asphyxiated? Oh please, that's a typical bi-weekly event for me and Figure.~" It sat back down at the table and picked up the fork from the now cold plate of catfish pasta. "Now about inheritance and territorial divisions-"
“Don’t fuck with the pool.” Ambush growled, its eyes narrowing and the glitches around it decreased for just the briefest of moments before it stiffened up and choked feeling a migraine burn it’s way into its head. “Just don’t..” Its talons gripped the table like it was about to cave in under it. “..We can share the rest.”
“..I have no plans of ever even going in there..or altering a single thing..” Seek soothed, pouring Ambush a bit more wine and confidently leaning forward towards Ambush. “As for our children, I wish to see no bias given. Younger OR older, it is to be all equally split amongst them..”
“Done.” Ambush rubbed its forehead and took a sip. “Our family doesn’t do that shit anyways..”
Figure raised its head up slightly, it leaned forward and whispered something before pressing its face into Rush’s fog once more. “And what of your animals?”
“The Raccoons?” Ambush squinted its eyes in confusion before shaking its head. “Take care of ‘em or eat ‘em..I don’t care..I’ll be dead anyways.” It reached into its fur and pulled out some vitamins, taking them with a sip of wine.
Seek sighed with relief, thankful that at least this time, Ambush didn’t drive a hard bargain.
“Is that all?”
“Yea..we’re done here.”
An exhausted, sleazy smile drew itself across Ambush’s face. Feeling its migraines dull just a tiny bit, it decided to make a move. “How about’a little kiss eh?”
A light blush came over Seek’s face, it waved its hand bashfully and sipped some wine with an amused look in its eye.
“..Oh hush you anchovy, keep feelings out of business..~”
“A-ANCHOVY..??” Ambush wheezed. “Nah babe, I’m sturgeon aaaaall over.~” It ran its talons down its chest with a bit of theatrical flair. “Besides, we came to an agreement…so ehh..not really much more business to discuss..”
“Fair enough, also- I wouldn’t mind giving that kiss either..” Ambush smiled wider and brought its face close to Seek. Who pressed its face up against it in a small nuzzle.
After a minute, Ambush reluctantly broke the kiss and turned towards the now peacefully snoring Rush and Figure, quietly chuckling. “We should probably call it a night... It was fun talking to ya Seek..” The green entity tucked its medicine back into its fur and tucked in its chair. It floated towards Rush and reached over to shake it awake.
Seek paused for a moment, before closing its eye and politely raising its hand to stop Ambush.
“..Pardon..”
“Yea?”
“Do you think..you could perhaps..like to spend the night with me and Figure?” It said calmly, trying not to sound too forceful or strange.
Ambush paused for a moment, thinking about it.
“Alright.” —
