Saltstar is the leader of Saltclan, the marshy wetlands in the valley. Known for her adaptablity, she lead a group of cats into the little-contested marsh and gained much more than any other cat thought possible due to her determination.

Saltstar is partially deaf, with no hearing in the ear the same side of her face her blue eye is on. She worked hard as a warrior, and despite her old clans doubts, she became a ferocious warrior and a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. She chose the marsh because no other clans were keen on taking the perpetually flooding space, and because she had faith in her new clan to adapt like she did to her deafness.
