Class 3A, recently graduated, in their rambunctious entirety, were spending the day grouped together at the mall. As per usual, Tenya Iida found himself keeping the group together and organized. Between Kaminari and Mina, he found himself with a handful of trouble.

Iida followed the group of twenty, closely behind. Being sure to keep an eye on each of them. He was prepared for a long day, sure, but what he wasn't prepared for was your bright smile blinding him all the way from the food court.

Iida found his gaze drug to you as if naturally, and when your gaze met, your eyes lit up to match your smile.

"Ten!!" you yelled, across the mall, rushing to meet your friend. Iida was grateful to meet your embrace, taking in your new aesthetic. Sure, you were bright and airy inside, but on the outside you looked hardened, with your piercings and tatted up sleeves.

You couldn't help but feel subconscious under his watchful gaze. He seemed to take in every part of your being, picking it apart in seconds.

Finally, he spoke your name, in a quiet whisper, before quickly matching your energy. "It is wonderful to see you! It has been ages since our last meeting!"

Iida clapped his hands together, excitement making it's way through his body. He quickly began asking questions about your tattoos and their meanings, alongside the age of your piercings and their healing process.

All the while, the remainder of class 3A stared the two of you down, muttering amongst themselves.

"Who are they?"

"Why is he so excited?"

"They're so different from each other!"

It wasn't long before Iida turned around to introduce you to the group, explaining the background between the two of you.

You had met during primary school, being close friends all up till high school. Your quirk was lack luster, meaning you had no chance of getting into UA. Not that that was necessarily your calling.

Kaminari was the first to say anything, speaking what they all thought, "How did you two ever get along?" He was met with a slap to the bag of the head by Kirishima, who was muttering something about your manliness, and bravery for having such strength to endure all the piercings and tattoos.

You simply laughed it off, "Oh, you know a nerd like Iida would need a protector!"

Iida's face flushed as he raised his arms in a crossing motion, as if making an X with his body. "I could handle myself perfectly well! And I was no such nerd,"

This was met by giggles amongst the group.

After more questions, and some jokes amongst the lot, you found yourself spending the day with them on their outing.

"You know, Im glad you accompanied us today. It's nice seeing you all grown up." Iida found himself muttering to you, from the back of the group.

You nodded excitedly, "Let's do it again, yeah?"

it was the first day of class, you had so many thought running through your head at that moment:

sitting at your desk your hands were occupied with a fistful of your uniform. you look down at your legs, lips quivering and eyes watering, you were so nervous.

"um yeah! I'm just so nervous." you look away in embarrassment, wiping a stray tear from your cheek. looking back you take in the unknown female's looks.

"you're obviously not alright⏤here, we can listen to music together before the bell," she says, she lets out a shy smile as she removes a singular headphone from her ear and extends it out for you to grab.

a little dazed by the confident proposal, you nod and give her a slight bow. placing the single headphone in, you patiently wait for the girl to play her music.

when she presses play, your eyes light up.

"you know this band?" you beamed, the girl's eyes widened as well at your sudden burst of energy. "hell yeah! they're like the hottest thing out on the underground scene! I just went to one of their concerts!" she says back, a light blush on her face forms as she chuckles in excitement.

"what's your name?" you asked.

"Jiro Kyouka! and you?" she says, you tell her your name and the both of you formally greet each other with a bow.

after that day, both of you were hip-to-hip.

it didn't matter where either of you was, because you were always together.

the both of you always went out places or hung out at each other's dorms and listened to music.

sometimes if the both of you were bored, you guys would make stupid songs on garage band, ultimately leaving the room with stomach cramps with how hard you laughed at Jiro's fried auto-tuned vocals.

there's one time when the both of you were getting tickets to see your favorite popular band, hovered over the computer in the lunchroom waiting for the ticket sale to drop. eyes wide open, staring into the blue LED screen, feeling that if you looked away for one second you'd lose all your chances.

you had all the devices possible, computers, tablets, and phones, the both of you were completely silent clicking any button possible to buy the tickets.

"I got them!" Jiro screamed loudly, the both of you crashed into each other's arms and started to scream like wild banshees. there were a couple of odd stares from people in the lunchroom, but that didn't matter.

and when you guys finally went to the concert, you guys screamed even louder. yelling out the lyrics like your life depended on it, hands entwined the whole night.

taking so many photos together that night, you had so much fun you'd never forget this moment ever.

voices hoarse and eyes tired, you had a sleepover in your room after the concert crashing in the bed...you fell asleep so quick you didn't even notice that you guys cuddled the whole night.

everyone seeing the life drained out of you and Jiro as they first hand witnessed the effects of post-concert depression.

sometimes there would be times when the both of you just co-existed with one another.

no talking, no interaction was needed, just the feeling of each other's presence was enough.

and on days when that wasn't the case, Jiro was there for you no matter what.

if you felt down, she'd be the first person to cheer you up, singing one of the weird songs the both of you made to make you laugh

letting out a weary smile, you huff out a breath and wrap your arms around her waist and embrace her into a soft hug. "what would I do without you, Jiro?" you mumbled into her shoulder.

"I don't know...die?" she says, sarcasm oozing from her lips.

- Eventually he will go to the Dekusquad and ask for some advice. Or he might ask his brother.

- He doesn’t like the feeling of jealousy so when he can he’ll go and train to distract himself.

- Very similar to Mina.

- If you are talking about a girl crush you have he will ask TONS of questions. He wants to see pictures of the girl you have a crush on.

- Even though he’s a little sad, he will still hype you up and encourage you to talk to them the next time you run into them.

- He would act like he doesn’t care, but he does a TINY bit.

- Probably would listen to “Brutal” by Olivia Rodrigo because of this situation.

- He won’t get that jealous because he knows that there’s plenty of fish in the sea.

- When you are talking about your crush dark shadow will come out and say “OOOO YOU HAVE A CRUSH!~ WHO’S THE LUCKY PERSON!” Meanwhile Tokoyami is yelling at him.

Tsuyu Asui

- She wouldn’t be necessarily jealous but instead she would be sad. You would never know that she’s sad on the inside every time you talk about your crush.

- BUT she is happy for you and is willing to listen to all your rants about how it should be illegal to be that hot/cute.

- She knows that it’s most likely just a small crush and nothing major will happen.

Angel is always very prim and proper, preoccupied with “cleanliness” both physical and spiritual, and puts upon herself the Sisyphean task of instilling those same ideals into her Darling and fellow dolls.

Angel is a very protective yandere— I could see her breaking somebody’s wrist for daring to touch you, but then she spends the rest of the day enveloped in guilt and praying for forgiveness for it.

Most of all, she prays and works towards the safety of her Darling, their “purity,” comfort, and happiness. She has no concept of personal space or alone time, and if you try to ask for it, she merely stands in the corner of your room to continue her watch over you and becomes incredibly confused if you object to this.

I like watching kurtis and actually drew was another youtuber who I got into the same time as Danny! I was so excited when they collabed but yeah pretty much in commentary it's them! But there's also Rebal D if you know him, usually he does reactions to tiktoks and Ravon as well, they are really fucking hilarious 😭

I pretty much watch many YouTubers tbh 💀 usually the ones who make great content and like can also pretty much have a good sense of humour, and who also have good opinions! What about you ? I am not able to list many at the top of my head rn but those are a few and ohh I also love horror story narrarations like Let's Read and Mr. Nightmare ( maybe you don't know them kdhsjsj-) haha this is getting too long sorry 😭

you are so right alastair IS the best character in tlh i only really finished the last book for him. the release of the last book is partly why i also started thinking about tsc again and started vibrating excitedly about twp again even though it is ages away and who knows what it’ll even be like, but that’s why i went back into the tab and i couldn’t believe i never found ur fic before because it was exactly what i was itching to read! like whenever i have looked for post qoaad fic which i don’t think i have since 2020 it’s usually either short, only focused on what happens during the three years before twp, or is only focused on kit and ty’s reunion. and i love reading about kit and ty’s reunion but what i wanted most was a super long fic dealing with all the problems and politics of twp and interweaving character and romantic drama with well-done plot, and lo and behold i found your fic which is exactly that and is well-written to boot. i really do believe it’s one of the most well-written tsc fics i’ve ever found and was Shocked and Outraged it didn’t have more kudos. i literally wished i had made a tsc sideblog in 2018 just to promote it to hell. i know a lot of things have been jossed now but i still found it all so fascinating. also 40k outline um i would read that many words…would definitely do that <3 but the things i’ve been wanting to know most about since reading it are partly plot-related — thule livvy and her ghost counterpart, whether our current thule questers will run into ash, clave and downworlder and faerie politics, if all the blackthorns reunite, the riders finding kit again, more about kit and the first heir and his role to play, omg side note that story kit tells in the far about naoine was amazing — and partly character-related — ty and anush and june!!! dru friendship with kit and jaime!!! kit and jaime v interesting dynamic i never considered!!! kit and tessa and jem and mina! kit and jace! how ty has changed and how kit has changed and his future character development and how dru wants to change. but also, the Drama of all of those character dynamics is probably what im curious about the most. like, kit and ty making things awkward with everybody…that painful tension between them and what it would be like if they actually talked about it. how thule livvy feels about her brother and sister and kit. jaime………like i cannot decide if he and kit had a fling, if kit has a crush, if jaime does, etc, but every scenario i picture is So Great in terms of awkwardness and hilarity and poignancy. you wouldn’t think i could feel all those feelings about it but i do. dru’s reaction? TY’s reaction? jesus christ. also jamie’s character in general you’ve set up very nicely, particularly with the mentions of diego, i think their relationship is very interesting. dru’s reaction? TY’s reaction? jesus christ. however ash fits into all of this too is also v intriguing. i just almost deleted all of this which was a very scary experience but made me realize how completely incoherent and crazy long this is, i am so sorry about that. also want to stress that you don’t have to answer any of this or tell me anything at all, i just loved writing all of that out because this fic had me super excited yesterday. but that is all hope u have a good day :)

AHH i am so intrigued to hear that alistair is what pulled you through chain of thorns!! i swear i'm not a hater, but like -

- i am working my way SLOWLY through that book right now and i just. !! i wish i liked more of the characters more, you know?? there's just SO. MANY. of them, and i don't feel like any of them have really had enough time to develop, or at least to make me feel invested in them, which is such a weird thing to say after already having had two long books with them!

did you happen to read the ghosts of the shadow market book? the versions of james and matthew in that book to me are SO wildly different than the versions that ended up on the page of tlh, and i hate to say it, but i liked the gotsm versions more!! i don't necessarily think that all characters have to be super developed and layered or what have you in order to make them compelling, but when the mythology of the story has also sort of started to lose touch with what makes it matter, and the characters aren't super compelling...what's left, you know??

it's like, to me, we have these villains in belial and lilith who are so otherworldly that they're practically abstract, which makes them just not very good villains to me. i'd much rather read about someone who is their champion (or paladin, i suppose) by choice, because then we could have that conflict between power and powerlessness and agency and lack thereof play out on a much more human level, presumably with stakes it's easy to be invested in.

sorry for the tlh detour - i'm just like, i WILL finish this book, but goodness gracious, i will admit to it being harder to power through even than qoaad. (sorry)

going back to what you were saying, thank you so much again!! the politics of twd and the way that different characters could end up on different sides of that conflict and the romantic drama therein are SO compelling to me they literally kept me up at night as i was reading tdi! there is nothing juicier to me than a story of political intrigue because they function SO well as stories about personal values, and there can be so much richness and depth and nuance to that!

i mean, we have kit as a microcosm for some of this conflict, too; he's someone from a "mundane" background with not only downworld heritage but royal downworld heritage and yet also this shadowhunter blood and, most affecting to me, maybe, his father's blood as a bit of a liar and a cheat and a rapscallion, all of which could theoretically push and pull him in different directions. i loved the idea of really exploring how these aspects of who he is could complicate some of the underlying assumptions of shadowhunter society and maybe even the books themselves.

which, i mean, okay! i get it! they're the shadowhunter chronicles, they're about shadowhunters, i get it. but i don't think that doesn't mean that you can't interrogate a different pov, you know? like, sure, james and co. have saved the world in tlh, but they've also directly been the cause of it being threatened in the first place. and maybe he could've found more acceptance of his demonic heritage from warlocks like his mother, or maybe downworld would regard him as just as odd as the clave does - who knows? my point is just that the books never really even seem to acknowledge that those are questions to be asked at all. :(

(sorry that that makes me sound like a hater, i promise i really enjoy reading these books!! i just have a lot of thoughts! hence the long ass fic as;dlkfj)

but so yeah, getting back to the gang there in thule, i just loved setting up their relationships with a bit of conflict and intrigue! they're united under this common banner of saving the world (again), but i don't think that any two of them are in 100% agreement with anybody else, even ghost-livvy with ty or her own living counterpart!

they all want something, different things, but i don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, either, you know? like, dru wants so badly to prove herself, and meanwhile kit's over here watching her say "we gotta go investigate that green light" because she's burning up inside and he maybe doesn't totally get it but maybe he sort of does, and so he's like, "oh, dang, is that what a shadowhunter does? i guess i should be more like that, then," and so they're there like. nodding to each other. meanwhile jaime's like, "well, if it makes them happy," so they're the three musketeers...up to the point that what they want brings them into conflict, perhaps?? [eyeball emoji]

i swear i'm just about done talking your ear off, but thank u so much again for saying u liked kit's story about naione! the fair folk are just too old not to have myths of their own and like!! that's such a rich vein of world-building, who could resist it!!

Art - specifically paintings and other similar mediums - was something Lunala was always appreciative of, especially Alolan artists. They were always masters at capturing the essence of the region and the people that dwelt there. It was why when Lunala was approached by one of Alola’s well-know artists for the prospect of being a model for her latest project, she was stunned, but eager to participate.

There Lunala sat, letting Mina move her limbs every which way to get that perfect pose in order to seal her vision. It was fun, in the way that a new experience usually was, even if Lunala wasn’t doing anything beyond trying to hold the pose picked out for her.

“I’m a little bit nervous,” she admits. Another feeling that came with new experiences. “Am I allowed to talk to you while you paint? Or would that mess up what you’re trying to do? I know I’ll have to hold still - I just don’t want to impede your focus.”
