This woman knew about the feelings of the head of Great House Dagoth, and in pursuit of power she gave him an ultimatum - he either had to marry to continue lineage or leave his post to lost everything he made. She knew that House might mire in conflicts or become a bargaining chip between chimers and dwemers lately. And so it happened.

But all his thoughts and guesses turns out to be wrong. Now, at his own wedding with Nerevar, who survived the Battle of Red Mountain. The former advisers of the hortator failed in their attempt to put them against each other. To be honest, Voryn thought himself that Nerevar would likely attack him while been under long-term influence, but that day, everyone underestimated the head of the Indoril's House and the commander-in-chief of the Chimer's army, who took Almsivi into custody instead.

He saved him. He destroyed the heart that poisoned chimer's mind, despite things he said; He prevented a catastrophe, he won the war, and most importantly, he believed to him.

Voryn lowered his gaze, examining the ring Nerevar had put on his finger. Moon-and-Star inlaid with ruby. It wasn't a gift from Azura and wasn't even close to the original, but for him! It was a relic to him.
