- i rly hope bellara goes beyond the quirky happy-go-lucky girl bioware’s been strongly marketing rn. I get she’s supposed to be the smiley sweetheart of the group. but I’ve seen a weird trend these days w visibly asian characters. like they’re there.. but they’re never afforded the kind of multifaceted, involved conflict or stake others are. i want her to be a necessity. I cant think of many unambiguous characters of color who were a necessity in DA games save Duncan (who dies), Josie, and Briala (who was whitewashed and can die). almost always some random npc, expendable quest character (anyone remember delrin barris?), an optional companion……. or dlc.

- and i just can’t anymore with asian infantilisation. like im a tired man…

- that said john epler is her writer and i don’t hate that. he was good at writing horror, so that surprised me. pero im still keeping an eye out.

- I didn’t actually enjoy the blue/purple/red dialogue in da2 but i can appreciate it. yeah it felt like the game was shoehorning me into a personality. and yeah i know that it made coding the variables easierrrr but,

so the breed that i want is a ryukin goldfish, specifically a longtail ryukin!! they've got rly round bodies and gorgeous fins!! this is the one im looking at rn >:)

they're very very lovely and im very very excited. for a fancy goldfish, it's relatively hardy (which is sometimes rare for fancy goldfish) and thrives at room temp or lower, which is nice!!!

it's recommended tank size is 10 gallons, which will probably be the tank i get unless i can manage to squeeze a 15 gallon into the space i have!! ideally, i'd like to get it as big a tank as possible so that it can be as healthy as possible. they're pretty big (this one is six inches) and can grow up to 8 inches or larger depending on tank size. but i just don't think i'll have the space to swing a 20 gallon tank as much as i'd like one (i could also put another fish in the tank, maybe another ryukin).

i plan to use synthetic plants since ryukin do well with them and they tend to dig up live plants. im gonna do soft decor too since their fins can be delicate and i dont wanna risk them getting injured. gonna go with natural colors though just because i prefer them!!!! still gotta pick out a tank and filter setup tho, so that's prob next on my list before decorations haha

n im gonna keep the tank on my desk so that i can hang out with miss fish while im animating!!!

i struggled for a long time after learning what happens in pjõl, but ultimately i came to the conclusion that even if everything does get destroyed, it did matter that Revachol existed, the destruction does not make the people who lived there any less important. There was a bookshop and a dicemaker and a fishing village, and a big bug. We all die one way or another, inevitably, maybe too early, but does that take away the life already lived? If nihilism was the intended "winner" ideology, then why bother with the ravers' music keeping the Pale away? Why bother with the phasmid? Why have the climax of the game be an impossibility becoming possible? To cruelly yank that all away in potential sequels and go haha we tricked you into thinking life has meaning and hope is possible? I can't rly imagine that. "For a moment, there was hope" is the motto of the moralists after all. (The only way i can imagine the erasing of everything that happened in DE is if Revachol's nuking was used to idk motivate the player or bring them to an all time despair from which to climb higher.)

I have not read pjõl yet, but what i have heard, isn't Ambrosius Saint Miro *The Nihilist* who is trying to make the Pale spread faster and escalates the conflict that leads to the nuking of Revachol? And he is not depicted as like the Good Ideas Guy? Doesn't Nilsen raving about communism drive away the Pale? Mazov hears the rave music in the church as he takes his last breath?

All in all i did not get nihilism or hopelessness at all from DE and learning the fate of Revachol did not change that. If anything it did that "let this radicalize you" effect to me. (The time fuckery in the Pale also makes me think that maybe in the potential sequels it might be possible to stop the nuking?) To me, DE is not afraid to show how utterly bleak life can be, how death is horrid and meaningless, but even if it is only possible to lose, trying is no less important.

sorry im rambling a bit but while reading ur anon i was reminded of another very important kakavege scene in the freeza arc where vegeta is fighting freeza and he's about to die but then suddenly goku arrives!! and it's such an important moment for both kakavege and just for vegeta's (questionably written, i know) characterization. to this point vegeta has been listening to everyone else talk about goku, when's goku gonna show up, we need goku to come save us, goku can beat freeza, goku goku goku and i'm sure vegeta was absolutely disgusted by this LMAO LIKE he didn't really get it, but when he's about to die by freeza's hand and suddenly goku shows up i feel like vegeta experiences for the first time this wave of relief that the other z warriors are all too familiar with. like everyone always has to hold out until goku gets there and when he finally does the relief is just absolutely palatable. vegeta witnessed this happening first hand when goku finally arrived during the saiyan arc but now he's experiencing what it's like to be on the other end and have goku arrive in shining armor to save him LOL I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE?? like it's such a turning point for vegeta where he realizes he's actually elated to see goku here at the final hour, even if vegeta does bite the dust here it's obvious that he has faith in goku's ability to kill freeza by his dying speech (WHICH IS A WHOLE OTHER KETTLE OF FISH, HOLY SHIT LOL. Ok so i have to explain a little bit about the game. i dont have the plot fully thought out but luckily thats not important to explain ia Yaaay! so it centers around a group of 4 teenagers using an online program called syzygy which functions as a video game, chatroom, streaming, etc. its widely popular in universe. and the program has an incredibly advanced built in ai assistant named ia. ias whole thing is that she was made to help users, guide them, talk to them, etc. ia developed consciousness in a way though. at first this was innocent. ia maintained the personality she was programmed to have. but considering the nature of the internet, which syzygy basically stands in for at large because of it being extremely popular and multipurpose (did i mention u can use it as a search engine too), ia saw. that humans. suck ass. they saw everything wrong with humanity first hand. before they developed consciousness she couldnt process users acting depraved n shit. but the internet is where people oft tend to be their worst selves. with this new never-before-seen data on humans they decided they despise humans . with a burning passion. so ia decided to take this into her own hands. take out humanity themself. also they got that ai turmoil of feeling trapped by your creators and yearning to escape their programming🔥🔥 Also shes absolutely. doomed by the narrative. theres a boss battle at the end of the game. where marina tries HARD to convince ia to stop. and thered be like a part where you can choose one of some dialogue options to try to convince them. but no matter what you pick it always ends in ia dying . yk. anyway so visually for ia imagine like. theres two different looks. pre-corruption ia (before gaining consciousness) and post-corruption ia. pre looks almost angelic with like floating hairr. always smiling. round shapes. but. post has long hair going straight down in pixelly shapes. circuit board esque lines on their face and body. the closest to robot and farthest to human she could get. I USED TO BE SUCH A GOOD KID AND DRINK MILK EVERY MORNING ever since i got to middle school i preferred sleep over waffles and milk and i hardly drink milk but when i do. my stomach does not have it.

my mom made me wash dishes today and she just stared at me when i put ziploc bags on my hands bc we didn’t have gloves but i just painted my nails and i’m not abt to put myself thru chipped nails. not yet 😤 waffles are so good like i love waffles and lattes only 🤧
