365 Days of Writing Prompts: Day 302

Adjective: Oozing

Noun: Mushroom

Definitions for those who need/want them:

Oozing: (of a fluid) slowly trickling or seeping out of something, or flowing in a very gradual way; slowly exuding or discharging a viscous fluid; giving a powerful impression of (a quality)

Mushroom: a fungal growth that typically takes the form of a domed cap on a stalk, with gills on the underside of the cap; a thing resembling a mushroom in shape; a pale pinkish-brown color

#another busy day and another delayed prompt #luckily not due to accidentally falling asleep this time #my girlfriend and i played some magic the gathering and splatoween earlier to today #(congrats to those of us on team ghost for winning!)#and then we watched the 2018 film apostle on netflix for dinner #i think we both rather enjoyed it #(and im always glad to see another michael sheen film i havent already watched)#as for the prompt the idea of a 'mushroom' thats 'oozing' makes me think of inky caps #(a type of 'mushroom' that drips black goo that looks like ink)#they are one of my favourite fungi so i love that already #however these two words together also makes me think of a 'mushroom' 'oozing' a substance it shouldnt/doesnt produce #such as honey or blood or liquid glass #im probably gonna explore the latter option in my poem and im rather excited about it #especially since this prompt also fits in well with the spooky season #thanks for reading #writing #writer #creative writing #writing prompt #writeblr #trying to be a writeblr at least #*today (not 'to today')
