@ren-amamiyaa and their (he/she?) Golden Heist, Thief Nanako and Cryptid Chaser aus flooded my brain and now Im making this post bc I cant fit all of this in asks!!!

All right, so, idea. Cryptid Chasers, Thief Nanako and Golden Heist are all connected righr???

CC acts as a prequel, TN becomes the inbetween starring Nanako and Akechi, and GH stars a broken and older IT and slightly jaded PT.

So far CC has Yosuke and Naoto forming the brotp that fanon wanted through silly Saturday Night Ghost Chasers Shenanigans, Akiren is bein' a lil shit at midnight bc he needs an outlet and exercise to Phantom Thief. While this goes on, Akechi's ghost/spirit/rement/heart/whatever pulls pranks and shenans along with Joker (hiwever that happens).

As the Cryptid Chasers keep going out of their way to confront Joker about Arsene (bc even he likes to mess around) the other IT in Inaba start to try and stop them from disrupting the peace (read : harassing a known criminal) and this somehow leads to a falling out. Mayhaps Naoto and Yosuke break a few laws and Chie busts them, Kanji wants to know why theyre stalking his student/protege, and Yukiko just wants to keep the rumors about the inn in check bc jfc Yosuke STOP SCREECHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IN THE LOBBY THERE IS NO GHOST ON THE TV!

Maybe eventually they call it quits or dont bc Naoto dug this hole too deep to climb out themself and Yosuke is having the time of his life since Partner isnt around and hasn't come back to visit yet (Not sayin' souyo is canon and there but-). And the Cryptid Chasers arc probably ends here with there being some animosity towards their shenanigans , but the IT are all still friends.

Now fast forward to like, uhhh (*flings dart at wall of calendars*) 2014 during winter and Akiren's cryptid acts are now fully accepted and maybe exposed, who knows. Nanako is like 10 ~ 12 (P5 is maybe three/five years post P4 I believe) and is just going through the motions of public education. I.E. go to class, do work, get good grades. Dojima is still the same as he was before Yu came but is at least doing better at being a dad, not much but better. Yosuke and Ted aren't around as much bc Junes, Chie is transferred to Tokyo, Yukiko is busy managing the Inn, and Kanji is busy with work (as a teacher and crafts business owner). Rise unfortunately cant come visit and Big Bro now visits every other year.

Nanako starts to look back and wonder how things started to fall apart amongst the group and recalls that "delinquent" who came back at the same time the Cryptid^tm showed up and ruined the group. So now she starts to remember the good times when Big Bro came by and starts to notice some blanks around winter... Why was she in the hospital when she got kidnapled? Why does she remember these weird flashes of Big Bro and his friends and some monster?? And how come she tried to ask them anything about it they brushed her off each time???

The TV in her room flashes and soon she starts hearing things. She starts to move closer to the tv, as if she was in some sort of trance, as the sounds start to become voices to her. When she's directly infront of the screen she sees something... someone on it...

Nanako doesnt show up for breakast, or to school, and nobody seems to have seen her.

A full year passes on after that day. It starts off with a big search party of the IT and Social Links for the first two months, then after ankther three something stange happens... are people forgetting that Nanako existed or something? Everybody's starting to act like completely different peoplw than who they are too, some even end up hospitalozed due to severe headaches and such, and start claiming that Nanako was never around when she vanished or that she left Inaba or was already deamed dead or missing. This rings alarms in the IT's mimds as they search for answers, eventually all fully reuniting for the first time in years/months.

Naoto and Yosuke blame themselves bc they piece together her disappearance with the Cryptid + Ghost case and immediately get scolded for trying to pin their stupid kids game on a missing person's case - especially now with Nanako missing and possibly in danger again! Afterwards the IT are a bit on edge and a bit broken with the whole thing. Meanwhile Akechi can hear the tale ends of "missing person" and "literal disappearnace" and starts looking into this weird limbo metaverse he's in bc some shit is kinda fucked in here now for some reason. They're pretty much only together as a team to rescue Nanako.

GH in the PTs POV starts when Akiren invites the group to the Amagi Inn thanks to licrative money grin- I mean training. He comes clean into having seen something weird on the tv one late night and wants to let the gang know.

Midnight rolls around and Akechi shows up on the screen and the Thieves losing their shit is an understatement - numerous noise complaints were filed that night. Anyways Akechi decides to just play the role of "hey moron, some shits fucked come help fix it" and ends up informing them of a missing girl and this weird TV Mementos world he is in.

I would like to note that Akechi is not at all bitter or confused at everyone's circumstances in life, no of course not Joker stop crying I know its been a while but shutup theres a kid in trouble rn and youre the only ones who can possibly help her.

When the PT figure out a plan to reach this other world Goro is in (Arsene : THOUARTTHEESTICKYOURHANDINTHETVDOITDOITDOITDOIT) the IT eventually come to the very sad conclusion that Nanako moght be in the TV world and that opens a whole can of worms and burnable bridges to cross.

While in the TV world, I'd like to imagine that due to Akechi having been there for a good while it has been shaped to reflect his heart and be the new overall theme of that world. It all still looks like Inaba, but it all holds themes to Akechi and his no good terrible life. However due to Nanako having been in that world as a kid, and now for an uncertain amount of time, the world now holds motifs to the Heaven area from P4, but it's all sorta ruined and kinda darker.

When both teams get together and enter the weird Tele-Mentos world (IT in a Junes storage and PT at either Ren's pad [bc he moved out obvi] (OR bith teams enter from seperate TVs at the Inn so SHENANS!)) Yu and the IT go through Akechi's influenced world/TV Palace, finding out about his tragic backstory and involvement with the PT, but anything that can and could reveal their true identities is blurred and staticy or missing bc Akechi aint gonna snitch out who ruined his sperm donors life (also I guess saved the world too yeah). While going through the Palace the Team starts to think that finding Goro will just be an "if it happens" sort of deal bc he's been missing for years already, what if we just leave him here bc M U R D E R E R.

Cue a sudden appearance by someone in some sort of fallen angel garb who starts whipping out a full on Metal Gear Villain monologue about how hypocritical the IT are when they find the truth about Akechi's life and disappearance - they claimed to want to live in a world where no one hides in the fig, was that all a lie? Are they going back on their word, and hiding behind a shriud of lies and falsehoods once more? "You've gone and lied and hidden the truth already, what's to say you won't continue?"

Meanwhile Akiren and the Thieves enter at the very top of the Heaven TV Set and have to climb all the way down. As they do so they start seeing little murals or epitaphs about memories and people in this girls life. They see all of these memories of a happy girl who had such a loving family - both found and by blood. As they go further and further down the ruins start to look like an actual Heaven, and the scenary becomes more bright and colorful. Eventually they might run into Crow in his Black Mask clothes and give the bastard a slug on the arm and a group hug or two, bc man he doesn't deserve to suffer anymore like this.

Now that the Phantom Thieves have been reunited (Akechi : I can't leave this world The PT : FUCK, MORE PLOT) they end up thinking up ways to get Akechi out until this weird angel priest looking dude shows up and starts babling about how they are criminals and how they've done more bad than good and blah blah blah. Everyone is just all "We're the good guys, we do the right thing even if its morally grey/ambiguous!" and oh look! Another crazed maniac wants to kill us for our "injustice" *Crow has the decency to look away and not say anything* annnnnnd Heaven is locked off. Perfect.

Now maybe the Phantom Thieves and Investigation Team run into each other somewhere in Akechi's Palace and "You have Personas?!?!" "The hell is a Palace?" "YOU'RE THE CRYPTID OF INABA!!?!?" "And Im the 'Ghost' that follows him." "Wait you followed me as a ghost?" "WAIT WHY ARE THERE TWO AKECHIS??!??!!"

Oh yeah, Shadows... Akechi is still kinda in denial about the whole friends and justice thing...

And now the Dark Priest is back great ("Good name Skull" "Well I've got my moments right?").

Annnnnnnd now I have no idea what happens next and Im all burned out but AAAAAAAAA this entire AU crossover thing is so GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!

The Guardian view on colour-conscious casting: mixing it up can be a good thing

David Oyelowo’s casting as Javert in Les Misérables ‘is down to the BBC’s decision to cast its latest period drama in a non-literal way’.

“Images are political,” said the actor David Oyelowo, explaining why he avoids roles that perpetuate racial stereotypes. Mr Oyelowo is one of the stars of the BBC’s adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel Les Misérables, which concludes this Sunday. His character, Javert, is a police chief and austere legalist. In real life, in early 19th-century France, such a person would not have been black. Mr Oyelowo’s casting is down to the BBC’s decision to cast its latest period drama in a non-literal way. Such casting is often called “colour-blind”, but the truth is more complicated. Rather than choosing to ignore skin colour, or other physical markers of ethnicity, the producers of such dramas – like those who cast women in roles traditionally reserved for men – are more often making a deliberate choice to ditch the naturalism that underlies most casting decisions.

Last week’s announcement by the Royal Shakespeare Company that it has cast disabled actors in three upcoming productions is another move towards a more equal distribution of opportunities; this week, English National Opera also said that it will actively seek to recruit more black, Asian and minority ethnic choristers, and support young directors of colour. Television- and film-makers have been much slower than theatres to pick up on what the RSC’s Erica Whyman calls “colour-conscious” casting, which is why the BBC’s Les Misérables, and the film Mary Queen of Scots – in which the black actor Adrian Lester plays a 16th-century ambassador – are breaking new ground. Reasons for the time lag include the lack of diversity among commissioners, and the financial risks associated with cinema (a view rebutted by the success of Black Panther). But the paucity of roles for people of colour and women in so much classical drama, combined with pressure from campaigners, arguably forced publicly funded theatres to combat the discrimination that follows from naturalistic casting.

It is more than two decades since the African-American playwright August Wilson attacked colour-blind casting on the grounds that what black people need is not the chance to play white people but the chance to tell their own stories. While the current shakeup of casting in the UK is welcome, it should amplify, rather than replace, demands for a sector that is more representative overall, including of different social classes. It is shocking that the current production of Nine Night by Natasha Gordon can be hailed as the first West End play by a black British female playwright.

However, there is no one-size-fits-all. In some cases, particularly when race or some other aspect of identity is an important part of a story, naturalistic casting is an artistic choice. The BBC’s West Indian slavery epic The Long Song is a recent example, and it’s important to recognise that historical drama has a duty to history as well as drama (which is not to say that it must be realistic). Meanwhile, some campaigners object to the casting of straight or non-disabled actors in gay or disabled roles. At least where marginalised groups are concerned, they believe in like-for-like casting.

It goes without saying that diverse organisations will be better equipped to make creative decisions in this shifting territory. If public funds are going to be used to put on Shakespeare’s plays, or dramatise 19th-century European novels on TV, it is only fair that a range of actors gets the chance to be in them. As our understanding of identity and inequality becomes more complex, it is stimulating to see the dynamics of human relationships explored in different ways. Drama should open the minds of audiences, as well as opportunities for actors.

Thirsty rambles about Gwent cards - neutrals

aka i made all my fav neutrals so i could talk a bit about why i like them the most

Avallac'h & Avallac'h Sage - what to say here, they're just nice, standard Av has too dull colors imo, but the premium loop is nice. The Sage? damn i love this orange/yellow whirlpool, very nice, kinda autumn feels with those leaves. both lines are nice, kinda ominous, tho i feel like english has 2 different VA, the "appearances..." line one sounds soooo different from "you will see..."

Ciri Nova - why only one? because others are just f ugly. also tbh i like ciri's av taunts better than her actual voicelines

Lambert, Vesemir, Eskel - aka Silver Witchers. now, i hated old OBT trio because they were not an actual trio (but also because they're ugly so i won't make their single cards), and im very sad that this is the only trio of cards that we get in HC, and the truth is i find this image more interesting as standard card than as premium loops, there's just too much going on here, it's chaos, it's ugly, i don't what this, meh. Voiceline comes from Lambert's cards and it's the only one that actually seems to fit the mood of the scene

Triss Telekinesis - at first i wanted to do Butterflies, that was the card i used the most in my first Dagon hybrid decks (until they Gold Immunity Update it, that is), but idk Tele just looks nicer than Butts??

Gaunter O'Dimm - i remember that in OBT i tried, truly tried, to build a deck with him, but the guy was just so heavy on RNG that it made no sense... but the loop is nice and colors, and i guess i just love all HoS themed cards

Iris von Everec - the pose, the colors, flying rose petals, the voicelines, i bet this card even smells nicely

Stregobor - just for the fact that the skull he holds turns into Renfris face, just wow

Dorregaray of Vole - love how much details is on this card, all the animals and candles, and the fact that it's canon that Darregaray looks like Lifecoach

Iris’ Companions - i never ever used this card, but just looks like something from horror, nice~ also, i feel like i have to say it, i just hate english VA here, especially the Dog

Nivellen - it's just a fun little scene :'D #wish that was me

Olgierd von Everec - if i have to point put one HoS card i don't like that much, then that's the one, mostly because we can't see Olgierd's face, which is a crime if you as me. tho i like more "A moment. I need to smoke." line but i doesn't seem to work with this particular scene. also i remember what pain in the ass he was before his first nerf

Operator - for a very long time i though that it's 3rd Avalach's cards, i mean he kinda wear the same clothes and mask, like is not Avalach then who the hell is it? i just don't know... but he was good at coping nekkers back back in first swarm decks

Duda: Companion & Agitator - i never got into playing Zoltan, but damn Duda is one cute birdo, kinda sad that we couldn't meet him in Wild Hunt

Hanmarvyn’s Blue Dream - idk even what this one does, but it's one of these cards that only looks better animated

Korathi Heatwave - oh i loved the dessert effect it left on board, even tho it was a pain to play against

Phoenix - tho just now in HC i'm starting to like this card, previously it just wasn't very interesting to me

Renew - literal real life saver, the most beautiful thing to get on hand in 3rd round, absolutely blessed card, totally worth this gold 4th sloth in OBT, now in HC im not so sure, but still beautiful

Shupe - idk how Shupe works and i won't even try to understand, but cards are fun, and i love that on all of them you can see CDPR red chicken. you go Shup my beautiful troll son!

Sihil - cursed card of current meta, but not so op as people like to say, just be like old Emhyr and play no units at all, then he and Eithné won't give you a shit (or be like me and play werewolves, because they can't be targeted), anyway i love Sihil and i play it even with higher provisions [EDIT: i wrote this before hotfix, rip Sihil decks]

Villentretenmerth - there's here something so damn dramatic, too dramatic, calm you tits Borkh

Alzur’s Double–Cross - nice monster eye i love it 100/10 alzur knew good shit

Bekker’s Dark Mirror - another card that makes me every sentimental about OBT, all the swings you could pull with this~

Marching Orders - i like the shadows, also very useful in millfgaard

Scorch - idk i guess i love orange... and totally scorching my opponent

Impenetrable Fog - now here comes my boi! i love how foggy is this card, and i have so many good memories of weather Dagon, yeah yeah got nerfed like 2-3 times, but like, what's actually so bad about control monsters? stop fucking killing every new idea for this kind of decks, not everyone wants to play vore and deathwish

White Frost - i don't think it was ever used after nerfing frost in first months of OBT, and im not sure people are using it now against artifacts... but that's one good looking card

Crow’s Eye - another simple, pretty image

Caretaker - 1, idk who and why decided that this guy should be neutral, while he thematically and visually fitted so nicely with Monsters 2, if this is only about his new ability in HC then he could keep the old one and they could make new neutral cards, it's not like super hard or smt 3, im still mad that Monsters can consume from graveyard but can't actually control graveyard, especially now when with TB we got cards like Xavier Lemmens and Lippy Gudmund (yeah he's Skellige but like) if i can't control board with Monsters then let me at least control graveyards you cowards!

So as you read for Antron and his work crew he himself took time out of collecting to look over the smaller kids to make sure they were staying out of fights and behaving and the adults, too.

How Mike Salinas was actually only 12 years old being called an old man because he wanted just to collect cans.

You didn't read how the girls got mad the old man and the boys only picked up metal and left none for them and left all the trash. Erica. That mean ole girl she just didn't get it. Recycling woman! Sticking her nose and up at old man business.

"Well let's see how much Snoop will pay you to clean up the trash then. How much do you think you'll earn? Come along then. All you pretty nice girls, you too Erica. We gotta get you on the payroll"

Snoop worked the Snack Shack. When i asked for money for the kids and heard the cash register ding I pretend I didn't hear it. When i asked for some food and i didn't hear the tippy tap of them register keys, I pretend I heard. And slide a napkin across the counter. "Here's your paper money Snoop" he'd always laugh and giggle. No matter it was 150° in that Sugar Shack or 2 below zero.

I knew we had money from Michael Jackson and the CIA. I just had a role to play. For the adults that "bitch witch" for the kids, the momma.

He paid all them kids the same 10 cents to the girls per item and 5 cents to the boys.

Then always buffet and shopping sprees.

They all got $5 no matter how much they worked. Equal pay. Equal rights.

Antron Brown noticed. "I picked up more than them boys over there and they got the same. They were playing in the mud all day and lying and hey how come i get $5 each time i work no matter hiw much im workin? It rain. $5. It snow -- well it ain't snowed yet. But if it did $5. And if it's hot $5"

"Well you think you earn more than $5 you let me know and I'll pay you"

"He did today Snoop. He earned $20"

"I did not! I picked up 5 items because i knew i would get $5!!"

"Well I'll tell you what. I'll give you $40 because she knows you asked a very nice question nicely so that's $20 and then you went and been honest so that's $40. So how much you get?"

"$5 Every time i come down here! Boy I tell you what! I come down here a sweat. Work my poor soul to death and $5!!"

"Snoop i must tell you he's been telling on us what we been doin down here because he went home last weekend. And they telling him he ain't earned a fair wage per hour"

Snoops emotions went roller coaster. "Tell me the most important thing you said then say it again"

"He went home. The rest we will work on later not in front of the children"

"He went home then huh? He went home?! He WENT HOME!!!"

Antron on about his $5 suddenly stopped "huh. Yeah I did so? I like it, too! $5 that all I get for working down here! Slave labor by a black man and this ole white woman here!"

Man that boy hit super crazy on that roller coaster go button!! He flew out that suga shack like he was on a broom!

Picked that boy up by his armpits and set him on the counter. "Boy! Lookie here behind you. Look what you getting!"

"Yeah i know! $5 that all you get round here! Slave labor! You just trying to pay me the rest to shut me up!! Slave labor!!"

Snoop was lit on fire and that kid was building him a cross.

"BOY!! GIRL!!!! YOU BEEN TEACHING HIM TOO MUCH!!!"

I crossed my arms "i blame his parents" i leaned againat the wall. The sun was setting. The parents would be there soon. "Put Erica up on there."

"Oh. Boy! I am lit! Which one is Erica?!?"

"This one behind you. She's trying so hard not to be amused"

"Girl! Come here let me get at you. Here you take this one and this one. Sabrina Go get me a $5 out that drawer. Now Lookie see this here. You now say what he say. It say you get $10"

"Slave labor! We ain't free i get $10"

"$10!!! Im getting outta here!!" He jumped down.

"Boy what would happen I did that? You know how much she make? $10. You know how much i make $5. Because she smarter than me! She pay attention ans she make sure when i call you a niglet she always tell me you're an African King even when you're not around!! For all these kids out here!!"

"Now how can we all be kings?"

"You are. You're an independent contractor. You're a king of your own way. You desire more money then we will pay"

"And you're a Queen and you're pretty. No matter how i say all you pretty girls and Erica, too. I heard them other girls making fun of you the other day and you know what you say? Let's get to work. No time for fooling around we got to clean so we get paid. You know what i think of you? You're a Queen. A Queen of England. A Queen of America and a Queen of yourself. And you're pretty, too. And you know what? Dont let them boys be foolish saying that your work was no good because it ain't metal. Aint nothing wrong with metal and aint nothing wrong with picking up trash. And you know what i think of you? You're brave. You didn't run up and tell no one nothing. You stood up to those girls although i think your feelings were hurt. And it broke my heart and made me cry and I wasn't even called ugly. I had to come in here and hide so no one would see but Snoop. And I thought long and hard about an apology to you. But I decided it wasn't good enough. I deserved to be you for you. Stand up strong and proud no matter how i feel and get to work. So i decided the next day to tell those girls how I feel and you, too. And it didn't help. Not one iota. So i decided to try again on the advice of snoop. Not the next day but the same day. And i told the truth. I didn't say it was about you but i said one day not too long ago i did overheard someone say someone else wasn't too pretty and how it made me cry. And you all thought I was talking about myself. And I didn't know what to do or how to explain that it wasn't about me but about you. How i care more about you than I do me. And you know what all those adults out there call me? Witch Bitch. And i don't care. I get here and I get to work. But the difference between me and you little one is you're little and you got your whole life ahead of you and anyone call you ugly you punch them and you tell them to go find Sabrina and I'll deal with it. Okay?"

"Yeah because you tell me and us our feelings are important. You say and i quote "your feelings are important Erica and all you other girls too. Ever since that day i meant" and she hung her head.

And all them words i said. I felt like i said nothing at all. Not a dam word. Alex always did something when I needed strength so i did it.

I took my thumb and forefinger and pinched her chin and i tilted her head and raised her eyes to mine "and i love you"

A big ole grin spread across her face. Her eyes lit up and she said "i knew it!! I knew thats why we always come to this place!!!" And she swung her arm like a champ

Meanwhile Antron Brown was stomping the ground and saying "i knew it! I knew it too! An old white woman would love me!!"

"Well Antron! Of course i do!"

"Oh! I know! That's all i meant to say"

"Can i get down now? I think i see my parents"

"Your parents?!?! I didn't know you went home, too!"

"Tuesday! Yup that was me!"

She jumped down and i turned around and there was a crowd before me. All the NHRA we stole from that hadn't quit yet. All the ones we gave the stolen goods too. Parents. God. So so so many parents!

"Come on. Get with your kids. Come on now. Go home for once. All you. Except you Mike Salinas i need to ask you a question"

They did And he did.

I went in the kitchen to hide and cry.

"Sabrina. Now look what you did, you have gave Mike Salinas $13,000 in 6 months. What you got to say to?"

"I earned it"

"Mike i asked you One day why you pick up cans."

"To earn money"

"I told you another day i knew who won all the fights and if you laid down a bet I would make sure you won. And if you lost on my bad advice, i would pay you double. And there you went" it was so hard not to cry "and you looked and you looked at me and you told me it disgusted you and made you sick to your stomach to see grown men fighting"

"I know it did. I told you i just wanted to pick up cans and it was good clean fun"

I linked my arm in his "and you're right, you're $13,000 richer than you were before" we walked to the clubhouse

I could hear snoop Tele tell me "tell him! Tell him jt was you! Hes the one that started calling youba witch bitch!"

"Snoop i have something to confess to you about that."

"You know what Mike. I wanna find out if you made more money in good clean fun than you would gambling. Betting on those fights. We'll ask Snoop"

He didn't. He made 1/3 less.

So in the clubhouse office we found out. I laid on the floor straight on my stomach.

"She has a heart condition. Palpitations. Its the only thing that makes it feel better but medication which she refuses. Here. Take your pill"

"Oh! I forgot! Im only gonna lay down till it kicks in. Good clean cold floor"

I could feel Mike Salinas staring. I knew he Didn't know

"But she's a witch bitch. She changes my hair colors! I know it's her because I always hear her laughing. Me and the other guys been talking and they frel so too. Nothing good or nothing come out this place til you all arrived. I used to hate it and the other guys did too. We look like punk rockers we decided then we didn't mind and i tell you people quit messing with us. I guess they thought we were bad ass. ok i see that “kyle isnt actually dead” timeline and raise you “kyle and mel are both actually alive” timeline like i know we talked about it last night but those timelines could... fit together rlly well?

this turned out to be a lot longer than expected so uh? sorry??

essentially this means the emily is helping amelia fake her death during the time that austin caught kyle and kyle is alone. this means that not just emily takes on this guilt of kyle’s supposed death, but now amelia is strapped with guilt bc she was making her exit, something that maybe didnt have to happen that day, but she did, and in that time kyle really did die

except he didnt. but emily doesnt know that, she cant even let micha know that amelia isnt actually dead bc its not safe for him to know yet. and even if amelia did know that kyle was alive, she cant do anything because shes supposed to be dead and she cannot risk a confrontation with austin. the stunt she did to make her own escape was dangerous enough

meanwhile, kyle is trapped w/austin and believes that, not only is mel dead, but em is the one that killed her (tho bc emily is a hero, headlines probably call it an accident or commend her for ridding the world of a menace like amelia jones but like?? kyle knew amelia, and here is emily who has now acted in a way and done a thing that i rlly doubt kyle would be understanding of, whether he believed it an accident or not). micha is honestly too preoccupied w/grief and thoughts of revenge that he’s not paying attention to aus outside of trying to get help to take out emily. he doesnt question that kyle is dead, he doesnt think there is reason to. he knows that austin was trying to kill him and i think micha probably understood what a threat aus was better than mel did anyway yknow??

i dont know how long austin has kyle before he’s rescued but in that time, maybe after micha gets tired of waiting for austin to actually help him kill emily, emily tells micha the truth bc now he’s coming after her and she’s done all she can to avoid it but austin isnt distracting him now--

i was almost going to say that “well since she didnt actually kill mel in this timeline she wouldnt have the problem with her powers tapping out on her” but the guilt of not protecting kyle would probably still cause her powers to wave. bc em understands that this? this would thing he got involved in? that was her. she wanted him to be this hero with her and now hes dead and its her fault, she got him involved, this is on her. so still, bye bye powers

which means micha can p easily take her on w/o distraction, and she has to resort to breaking down and telling him the truth: amelia is alive. she cant fill in the details, but promises that shes alive and well and she cant do this anymore. she cant keep fighting him, she cant stay in this place and fight for this city she just. cant.

and then emily officially dips out. she was honestly sticking around just long enough to tell micha when the time was right, when it was safest for everyone, so with that done and nothing left to fight for, she leaves. this is honestly the grimmest situation for kyle?? but he does get rescued, ivan saves him and now its austin that makes his escape and austin’s condition forces him to lay low and gives everyone else enough time to settle and hide

again, i dont know the timeline for how long aus had kyle, but i originally saw him finding mel and dal when dal was 3-4 yrs old. and maybe its not a happenstance kinda deal. maybe, somewhere in their new lives, he runs into emily. who is probably really? shaken? by seeing him alive??? she thought he was dead, he was dead!! austin said- she heard him die but he’s alive and like ofc shes over the fucking moon happy but she knew him to be dead and thats a lot of emotions to figure out on the spot

and kyle thinks she killed amelia, like the rest of the world. theres so much to unpack here, she doesnt know where to start and she cant exactly share it, shes learned to be cautious and she knows what mel has to lose if shes found. shes hurt that he believes it, she cant just deny it bc of the story they built, so she. asks a favor. gives him and address, mentions that maybe he can find answers there, promises it wont be dangerous.

but at the same time, this means that ivan is now 100% involved and i dont think ivan would be on board? he agrees with emily on like one thing: kyle being in danger started with her asking him to be a hero. theres no reason kyle should have to go do this sketchy thing for her, remember what happened last time? yeah this is a no-go

em doesnt want to force him to go, says that ivan can go with! actually im realizing that w/ivan there ivan could just get her to tell them whats at the address. surprise ruined, but we talked about him using his abilities to get her to open up about what she knew about austin before and given the situation, hes not. in the wrong here
