pillow princess discourse posting makes me feel insane because it's like nobody acknowledges that the word itself underwent a definition shift. It makes me feel like I grew up in a parallel universe with a different internet from everybody else

#im not trying to start discourse im just venting. its is so unserious #personally if someone used the word for me i would wither and die and blow away as dust in the wind #because it didn't mean 'bottom' from 2000-2020(?) (2015? idk when it happened)#it carried the connotation of 'someone who does not care about their partner's pleasure in bed'#(and you can meaningfully debate if you like about how that can be unfairly conflated with bottoming)#but the definition shift has made it mean 'exclusively bottoms' (perhaps as an opposite of stone top)#so now people are like 'why do you hate people who only bottom' when nobody was saying that #i swear. i once had someone say to me 'yeah my gf is such a pillow princess haha' and i was ready to go to bat for the gf #like why are you complaining about your lover to me in this way. thats unfair to her #and then i realized we were not operating under the same definition and it was meant neutrally #it's a real adjustment to make I'll tell you that #and the internet takes that adjustment in bad faith as it is wont to do
