at the risk of sounding extremely weird, have you ever heard of the game cookie run kingdom? if so, could you do some of your yanderes reactions to a darling that's absolutely obsessed with the game? maybe even to the point of having physical merchandise and going to events in person?

Soren doesn't know about the app but he should. Yeong-bae has definitely mentioned it to him a good handful of times but he's bad at remembering things he's not interested in sometimes. For you, though, he'll try it. He definitely ends up not liking it though. He just doesn't get it. You sit there and watch the cookies fight the cake? Okay, and then what? You level them up so they can fight tougher cake? Interesting. The aesthetic is cute enough but he doesn't know if he'll play it in the long run. I think the one thing that'll really interest him is Parfait cookie. He knows what it feels like to busk, to have to work your ass off to get recognised, and then to finally have all that hard work be paid off. So, he likes her because he can relate to her. But he doesn't like her enough to pay to win or anything. Unfortunately, he's one of those people where he's just really lucky and he ends up pulling her multiple times (you definitely need him to press the button for you when you're pulling for cookies you want LOL)

When it comes to you, he'll indulge you. He doesn't get it at all. They're just cookies and the game isn't even that fun. But it makes you happy and there's nothing in the world he wants more than to make you happy. So, he buys you the merch, he goes to the events with you (disguised, of course, since he doesn't want the date to be cut off by paparazzi) and he lets you spend his money on the app. He does give you a cut off every month. You're only allowed to spend $500! No more! Maybe a little more on special events but-- Oh, don't give him those puppy dog eyes....

Eun-jeong is definitely just a casual fan. It's cute, it's popular, he likes the aesthetic. It's just something he uses to pass the time sometimes when he's alone in the vet office. Also doesn't put too much thought on his team just sticks with the automatic teams or a team of his five strongest cookies. He wants to be able to protect you and he wants to be able to be someone you can depend on like how a lot of people depend on Financier cookie! He also loves her aesthetic a lot.

When it comes to you, Eun-jeong would definitely fuel your addiction. He won't pay for anything on his account but he'll definitely give you his card if you want to pay to win. Also would definitely go with you to events or get you merchandise of your favourite cookie (and of Financier cookie so the two of you match!)

Ayaka knows the app. It's cute and it's popular so of course she's checked it out! She's definitely here for the aesthetic and the aesthetic only. She doesn't care about any of the strategy, the statistics, the gaming; nothing. She just likes that the cookies all look sweet and cute. Unlike literally anybody else on the list, her kingdom is thematic and decorated perfectly. She uses the kingdom save system so she can change her kingdom every single time her favourite color has changed. She has a set up for pinks, purples, blues-- And, of course, she's achieved this by using money to buy all the decorations and buildings, of course! All her cookies have the best skins too LOL cus, unlike everyone else, she spams the costume gacha instead of the cookie gacha.

Her favourite cookie is actually Strawberry Crepe cookie! It was a good tie between Strawberry Crepe cookie and Strawberry cookie. I think, if her darling's personality was a lot like Strawberry cookie, then Strawberry cookie would be her favourite because she finds her really really cute, her aesthetic is adorable and she's strawberries! But, if not, her favourite is Strawberry Crepe! Ayaka just relates a lot to being small and being looked down on but then absolutely kicking ass LOL And she likes that Strawberry Crepe has big dreams for herself! Plus, Strawberry Crepe cookie has the absolute cutest aesthetic too

When it comes to you, of course she'd support your addiction. She'd be way more hands-on about it though. If your kingdom looks like trash, she's taking your phone and she's fixing it! It doesn't have to be color coded like hers but c'mon, put some more effort into it! At least have little sections or something! And she'll definitely dress the two of you up in outfits inspired by your favourite cookies hwen the two of you go to events! It'll be so fun!

Ryuu is already a huge fan and when he finds out that you're a fan too? He'll literally scream because the two of you can be fans together! He puts some thought into his kingdom decoration but not that much. Kind of just lines up all his shops and then decorations are in the other half LOL Definitely tries to get into the strategy part of the game but he's super bad at it and ends up just being slightly better than most players. He's only slightly pay to win but he's a recovering addict, okay! You're not supposed to go cold turkey when you quit!

His favourite cookie is Sea Fairy cookie. He's been a fan of the franchise since the original Cookie Run app and that's where he fell in love with Sea Fairy cookie! Plus, she's his strongest cookie! And her aesthetic is so beautiful!~~

When it comes to your addiction, he'll try to do the good boyfriend thing and steer you away from it. He wants to be responsible and he knows, in the long run, it's bad to encourage it. But, oh god, he knows the pain. If you really really want to pay to win, though, you might end up dragging him back into his addictions too not that he would complain that much. Another disgusting Cookie Run Kingdom fan LOL You might not even have to tell him you're into the game, you'll find him wearing merchandise of it or something somehow. He's the type that loves the aesthetic but also he's in the top 1% best players of the game. His team is doing like 200mil damage or some crazy shit. He's like over calculating the strats, making sure he's equipping the right stuff, etc. It also helps that he's pay to win the whole way (and it's probably the reason he's broke). He's also the guild master to one of the top guilds in the game and he's super strict about people logging in and doing their part. If you're inactive for a week, you're out! It's the top guild for a reason LOL

His favourite cookie is actually Cotton cookie and it's because she's one of the best support cookies in the game-- LOL but also because she's super cute and soft and kind and innocent which reminds him of you. No, it doesn't matter if you're some buff 6'6 guy! Cotton cookie still reminds him of you! That's how he sees you! This soft support character he needs to protect because your HP and defense stats are very low but you give him so much support and he just loves you so much!

When it comes to you, he definitely supports your addiction. In fact, he supports your addiction way too much. He'll like help you out with your team composition if you want him to, he'll let you borrow his card if you want to, he'll invite you into his guild, he'll remind you to log in every single day! He'll even log in for you if you'd like! And the two of you can just sit together on your phones, beating the asses of some cute cake hounds or something

Another idiot with way too much time on their hands LOL Yeong-bae is definitely way too into Cookie Run Kingdom and it shows. A lot of their salary goes into gacha games and mobile games. In fact, they have like several phones because of it (one phone for work, one phone for gacha games, one phone for photos, one phone for normal stuff). It's really unfortunate. But they're a lot like Ryouta where they're the 1% of players on the app because they're so good at calculating strategy and stats. Unlike Ryouta, they also care a lot about aesthetics so they make his kingdom look good too. They're both on the same guild! They're actually an officer in Ryouta's guild LOL

Their favourite cookie is Pure Vanilla cookie and, not to be repetitive, but it's because he reminds them of you! Pure Vanilla is so healing and good, someone that brings so much light to everyone around him. That's what it feels like being around you! For Yeong-bae, just standing next to you is like standing on stage, in the spotlight! And being with you, talking with you and spending time with you, is like being healed by Pure Vanilla cookie! Definitely way over-levels Pure Vanilla cookie because of this sole fact LMAO

When it comes to you, what is he earning for if not to fuel your life joys? If he can't make you happy by letting you whale or by letting you buy your favourite merchandise, what's the point in being a popstar? Unfortunately, he can't easily go to the events. He'll have to wear a mask the entire time or he'll have to wear a disguise. But it's worth it if the two of you can go on a cute date!

I’m gonna start off by saying this: I genuinely don’t understand how some people in the human species can be just complete idiots. 🙂

Ill try to make this short but I don’t think I can lmaoooo. Basically at the place I work at we got this online order for delivery. We make everything according to what the order said to make. We pack it all nicely and we made sure that everything that was on the order was in the bag. We get the delivery guy to deliver it and that’s that.

Tell me why this customer calls us back 10 minutes later screaming that he’s gonna report us? This idiot was screaming about how he didn’t get and item that he ordered. So we go fine, let’s check the order that he submitted, said item was no where to be found on the receipt. So we tell him that, this guy had the audacity to say that he did in fact order it AND he paid for it (which was not true). So we politely say okay let us send you the online order that you submitted all the whole he’s still screaming at us (I kinda muted him cuz he was getting annoying lol) so we messaged him the receipt and we told him to take a look at it AND U KNOW WHAT THIS MF SAYS?!

“No I don’t need to look at it, I know what I ordered.”🗿🗿

Sir you clearly don’t know because you’re wrong 🤡🤡 and WHY WONT U JUST TAKE A LOOK? PROLLY CUZ U KNOW UR WRONG AND GOT CAUGHT TRYNA GET SOME FREE THINGS

But ofc we don’t call him out (I rly should’ve just don’t that) but honestly he would’ve just blamed us. And so we tell him if you really want this item we can make it for you, you just have to pay for it which makes total sense and he goes “I CANT BELIEVE YOU WOULD ARGUE WITH ME ABT THIS”

This is when I get mad and I’m tryna be all nice cuz yk customer service and I’m like sir if u would just take one look at the receipt we sent you, you will know that we’re not trying to argue with you we just don’t want to be accused of doing something we didn’t do. If it was our fault we would compensate you but we literally DIDNT DO A THING WRONG.

Then he goes “iM GonNa RePoRt you GuyS” 🙄I’m like is that supposed to be a threat or something? Cuz go the fuck ahead we literally have receipts and everything. Then I guess he was tryna make us scared and just give him the item so he goes “I’m gonna go on yelp and tell everyone that you guys are horrible” 🤡🤡🤡🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿

girl i am so sick rn. of the recent times I've been sick this ha been the worst & I was genuinely confused that the covid/flu test i took came out negative bc yesterday I had a fever of 38c when I went to the doctor's yesterday & I rarely get fevers when im sick.

this really hasn't been my season, this the third time I've gotten sick since october & between my hours going down at my main job, constantly arriving late bc of x y or z at my temp one, & being a lil too generous with my christmas gift, i have like 200 usd in my savings account 🤡

i HAVE to get our of working retail bc atp it's not just a risk to my mental health but to my physical health too. my imune system is shot & body has been feeling so weak for months now & I have no doubt it's cuz of work/work related stress. atp im heavily considering just a) going to hair salon & asking to get hired as an apprentice or b) taking the job at the barber shop my dad goes bc his barber has been telling him he'd give me a chair even if i never finished beauty school or c) just opening my little shop w a loan & skipping getting a proper degree until i can afford it even if that could maybe land me in some trouble. id probably still try to keep my retail job bc I have a feeling my boss is trying to get me to quit but i donr plan on giving her the satisfaction any time soon lol she can continue to give me one shift every 2 weeks, i'll just find othee ways to make money somewhere else, im not leaving until im either paid a big fat check to do so or im stable enough in a salon

she talk about chris and alba and the late marvel event because she post something again from the source that say alba was there and fans told her that she wasnt because they dont see her- first of all i hate her condecending tone like omg calm down like why you make problem, i only post something i don check heheh im just a girl. So she go back to her relatable source and he or she say that there was only a chair but not alba ok, but out of nowhere come other source saying they were seen happy couple weeks ago on private marvel event thay there is no pic from because this event was so private🤦 and not suprising she say alba could not be seen because ... she is pregnant, of course pregnancy have to join the chat, again our favorite clown with blind sources say that she dont know for sure (it start my question does she know anything at that point? Because she look like she know less than i do and i dont work here) so she cover her ass just in case. My favorite moment was when she just mention quickly because it dont fit her story that someone write to her that alba was at lana concert not so long ago and she was smoking and drinking yet she say that could be her last and for sure chris and alba are happy and still together🤡.

And i dont know if anyone is timing this but this podcast came the same time when this weird interview with chris wher for a question how he know alba love animals he say that loving animals is important for him, no examples like she had a dog or help with dogs nothing.

So with every new podcast im more and more convince that she one dont know anything and two someone pay her because timing and stupid info that dont add up

He seemed fine with all the questions but any about her were awkward. Could be written off as not expecting to talk about her as most questions are fielded before hand and interviewers are given guidelines of what to avoid.

Deux is definitely getting paid, and to not even fact check while choosing which items sent in you're going to share is absurd. Who knew pregnancy made you invisible. (Not saying she is at all, as anon pointed out, she was literally smoking and drinking not too far back)

thank you 🫶🏻 life is definitely humbling me since i started my last year and again, almost failed one of my exams bc i thought i was good at geography but turns out i wasn’t and butchered my way through it.. im surprised i still somehow passed it with a 7.5/10 🤡 but i got a 10/10 on history which is supposedly the second hardest exam after math so i won something iguess 😹

the first year will definitely be hard as im moving in a different city and when i went to enroll i alr got lost in the campus ☠️☠️ it will definitely be interesting… it is!! i actually found out more abt the courses from actual students there and it seems nice, a futuristic job thats paid well too so 🤞🏻 but i will definitely keep u updated on how i shall fail my uni exams too😭 it is somewhat worse than it was before due to family issuess but what can we do, right?😭 it actually did,, im into this group zb1 (zerobaseone) which u must have heard of, or perhaps the survival show boys planet😭 so ill be enjoying the next 2 years with them until they disband 😹

Summary: They/Them. A series of moments. Any publicity is good publicity, right? Well accidentally falling into beef with arguably the most popular Minecraft streamer in recent memory certainly keeps you relevant. But as time goes on, you realise more and more that staying relevant isn't the most important thing in the world.

A/N: 3009 words. i gotta stop adding 'i dont know what this is' to my authors notes but also i don't know what this is. i was listening to Happier Than Ever, but also OverHeated has better vibes for this fic. im actually incredibly happy with this one, like deadass a fan of my own wording lmfao. please let me know what you think. also i wrote this on my phone and welcome to 3.30am ive lost all control of my life.

"Wait, who? Dream, no I don't know who that is," you laugh dismissively, "contrary to popular belief, I don't know every online personality in Florida; it's a big place... why would I know a Minecraft youtuber? That's the kind of content that gets millions of subscribers on YouTube now? I thought we moved passed that."

In hindsight, it was kind of a shitty thing to say, and despite the fact that you'd been thinking of what you knew of the gaming community in the past few years, it still came off as arrogant. Usually you weren't one to portray yourself as arrogant online, you'd come to be known as something of a Zeitgeist of online society, your mind had been elsewhere at the time. You didn't know Dream, didn't realise he was much bigger than you'd been assuming, at least not until you'd woken up to his reply on twitter.

It had been deleted before you'd even properly seen it, probably only minutes after he'd posted it, but there were screenshots aplenty.

[incredibly bold words coming from a tiktok influencer 🙄🤡]

Your notifications were a bloodbath.

Despite your private apology, acknowledging what you'd said was out of line considering your own line of work, and his apology in response, admitting that he should have known better considering how rabid he knew his fans could get, there appears to be some hostility between the two of you. Publicly, that is.

It was all for show, though that was just between the two of you. The peanut gallery that was your audience paid good money for a fight like this, not that you'd ever voice that thought out loud. Considering how far apart your demographics were, and the size of your respective audiences, the way you two would interact kept you both relevant. Whether they were intrigued about the person antagonising their 'fav', or looking to clown on them, you both got a nice boost in numbers for each scathing interaction you'd shared online.

The people you had aligned yourself with socially ate it up too.

But something about their approval left a sour taste in the back of your mouth.

"It feels disingenuous," you huffed over a call with Dream, right after he'd posted a new Manhunt video to his main channel, "its a good video," you grumble.

"So don't send the tweet," he yawned, "or do; don't not tweet it if it's for my sake, I know you actually like my videos thats all that matters."

You press your lips together but hit send on [imagine posting essentially the same video 8 times,,, couldn't be me].

"You know I do actually think you're creative, right?" You tried to assure him.

"I know," and his voice is fond.

The city is fucking suffocating you and everyone's watching.

You feel like you'll be publicly hung for being genuine; getting famous on TikTok of all platforms has always felt a bit like that to you, but it didn't start getting constricting until all you want is to love and support creators outside of your bubble, outside of your shared demographic. The heat of early Summer is in your lungs, is choking you from the inside out.

And there have been times where you've considered running, considered never logging in again, driving until you're at a gas station two states over and gasping for air in a town where the people don't recognise you. You could stay there, if you really wanted, you could live in quiet obscurity if your heart really desired it. But it's its own kind of disingenuous.

[what if i drive until my wheels give out and then just stay there forever?]

[do you want company?] His answering text surprises you, and suddenly you can feel your heart beating in your throat. You ask if he's serious. He tells you he needs to get out of the city for a bit, even a few hours.

There's too many eyes in the city. On the road there's just his.

He's in your passenger seat and you're in your head wondering if this a fever dream, a mirage from the steadily growing summer heat. Maybe if you look directly at him, he'll disappear, so you don't, just incase. He opens the window, breeze catching in his fingers.

Out of the corner of your eye, you see him looking at you for a moment. Part of you wants to thank him for his company; this is the first time when you've wanted to run, when you've actually had a reason to come back. Don't think too hard about that.

You want to thank him for the company as there comes a lul in the conversation, but the wind rushing past you steals your nerve. You stay quiet, and turn up the radio.

The afternoon is growing late. Soon, you will head back. For him.

So you lay on his bed on your back, staring up at the ceiling, dead silent as you hear him talking and laughing with his friends as he streams. If you make a noise, your cover will be blown, you'll ruin this good thing, this ruse. The evening is sticky hot but the faint breeze is sweet. Looking over, you take a moment to admire his profile, aglow in the light of his monitor, beautiful in the warm haze of the night. Something twists in your gut, and you look away quickly, a little overwhelmed with the moment. So you stare at his bedroom ceiling, laying atop his covers, listening to him laugh, and you stay quiet.

He likes several tweets about the latest rumour about you; apparently you're an industry plant. No-one is quite sure which industry, but they're sure you're a plant. One of your stan accounts posts a screenshot of the tweets he likes, commenting [those in glass houses 🙄🙄] which you like. It's routine. It's a game. That night, the two of you spend an hour driving around as the sun sets, windows down and music blaring; your grip on the steering wheel is tight and his hand is on your thigh. You don't talk about what happens online. You don't talk about a lot of things. The light from the sunset is flattering for you both; people would say you're pretty together, picture perfect together, but no-one's allowed to know.

You attend parties, dressed to the nines, and you send him a photo from your bedroom before the night even begins. His response is sweet, but he doesn't dare interact when you post photos online a little while later.

[wish you were here] you send from the party as the fake laughter and constant camera flashes begin to grate on your nerves, [nothing feels real]. And after waiting a few minutes and getting no response, you put your phone back in your bag, plastering a grin on your face. Smile for the camera, its what you do best, it's how you got here.

When you feel your phone buzz, when you see he's simply offered an alternative, for you to come over and spend the rest of the night with him, you give your first genuine smile in hours. But someone catches it in the back of a photo, or perhaps a video on an Instagram story, maybe both, and everyone wants to know what had you smiling so brightly, why you'd made such a quick escape from the party after.

[only smile I've seen them give without dead shark eyes] Dream himself quote retweets someone's screenshot, and your lip curls in distaste at that. It's business, but it hits too close to home. You want to reassure him that he makes you happy, but it feels too honest, too raw. So you bite your tongue, keep quiet, give a snarky response online with your head in his lap.

"No I don't have thoughts about Mask -" your lip curls derisively. You've been listening to it on repeat. "What makes you think I spend my time thinking about Florida Man?" He'd think it was ironic, think it was amusing; you'd hear it before it had been released, sitting on the end of his bed, chin propped up on your hand as you beamed at him. He seemed pretty nonchalant as he'd asked you what you'd thought, but as you'd given a gentle, adoring sigh that spoke volumes on its own, you'd seen the way his posture had relaxed, the proud little smile he'd turned back to his monitor to hide.

"Everyone's a musician these days I guess," faced with the invasive reporter, you rolled your eyes.

The people you call friends because you know you should hide the way they look down on gaming, on streaming; it's good for clout, but it's not like it's a real job. Don't they get that none of your jobs are real? Influencers are the lucky, pretty few, famous for existing at right place at the right time. You didn't expect this. You didn't grow up wanting to be on display like you are now.

They think you'll join in on their scorn, and though you've got your public beef, of course, you're heart hasn't been in it for a long time.

"Its clown on clown violence," you'd muttered darkly, glowering into the frypan you'd been put in charge of. Sapnap, cutting vegetables beside you, sorts a laugh, and asks what your friends would say if they could see you now. Quiet now, you focus on the sizzling pan before you.

"They'd think you've been a bad influence on me," you murmur, expression scrunching up. Becoming friends with Sapnap was inevitable, and was amusing to the rest of the world; taking a liking to your perceived arch-enemy's best friend was a delightful twist of fate.

After a long moment of silence, with only the gentle cooking noises to fill the space between you, he tells you he likes you better offline. It might be one of the nicest things anyone's ever said to you.

Florida is better than LA, socially, but not by much. There's less influencers per capita. Small miracles.

The nights feel long here, but maybe there's too much on your mind for you to get to sleep. You post on your IG asking if anyone was awake and nearby. Predictably your DMs are flooded, but you're not sure what you're looking for, what you want. A few other sleepless friends respond, asking if you wanna meet up, make some impromptu content. Everything about you had become monetised, even your insomnia; everything tastes sour as you read through their messages.

But Dream texts you asking if you want to go for a drive. You don't even ask where, you just say yes.

You're in your pyjamas when he picks you up, but then again so is he, brightly patterned cotton shorts against the fancy leather seats. There's already music playing when you curl up in the front seat, some songs you recognise, some you don't, but it's enough to keep your thoughts at bay.

Streetlights glowing rose gold along the highway, you don't care where he's going. Even in the dark, when you turn to look at him, you can catch the serious, pensive look on his face.

You want to tell him you love him, but you can't open your mouth.

He drives up the coast in the dark, until the sky and sea begin to turn lilac beyond the windows. On a lookout near a town whose name you don't know, the two of you sit on the hood of his car and watch the sunrise. He's got his arm around you, resting his head against yours, and for a moment, you close your eyes.

"I wish I could tell people how happy you make me," your voice the thought that had been plaguing for months, and Dream holds you a little tighter. He turns, in that moment, and presses a fond smile against your temple, followed by a kiss.

After a moment, you pull out your phone, and quietly ask if you can take a photo of the two of you. He hesitates, but only for the barest moment.

"Who am I gonna send it to; Sapnap?" You asked, though the moment may be more revealing than you'd intended, as the realisation flashes through your mind that the two of them had somehow become your closest friends, and perhaps the only two friends you honest felt like you could trust.

But it's enough to convince Dream, whose smile is half hidden with the way he's resting his head against yours, the two of you warm and full of joy in the light of the sunrise. Something about the photo has your breath catching in your throat.

You make the photo your phone background. He doesn't comment, but when you glance to him, you can see how wide his smile is.

The change is gradual. Bit by bit you force yourself back to being the person you started out as, the person you were offline, the version of you that you actually liked. It's the return of authenticity, of doing the things you actually enjoyed instead of whatever was on trend.

You didn't go to parties if you didn't like the people. You stopped making content with the people you knew were just using you for clout. You let yourself find joy in the work you did.

The people who mattered in your life respected it, applauded it, encouraged it. It felt good to laugh on camera and mean it. The uptick in followers may be from how genuine you were now being with the content you made, but with each day, you found yourself caring less and less about the numbers. It was freeing.

He says it first, late at night, for no reason that you can see. You'd been in his kitchen, one earbud in and video pause as you were whisper-ranting about how Tommyinnit didn't deserve the shit he got online-

"- he's good kid, and damn funny too! If I hear someone shittalk him in real life, I don't know, I feel like I'd start biting people - or maybe I'm biased, or need sleep; what time is it? -"

"I love you," and he's giving you this adoring look that had the words dying in your throat as you process the moment. He's sitting on his kitchen counter, wearing your merch hoodie, looking like something out of a dream you'd once had. Then, softly, finally, you find your voice and the words you've been longing to say;

"I love you, too."

His smile grows a touch wider, a touch fonder.

And you wonder where it came from, somehow without seeing how long the moment had been coming.

You agree to be on podcasts because the concept intrigues you, and happily and candidly admit that your shift in branding, in tone, in vibe if you will, was down to one thing; love.

And yes, finding someone was the catalyst, but it was realising that you didn't even like who you'd become that had been the driving force behind the change. You wanted to be able to love the content you created. You wanted to be able to love the version of yourself you put out into the world.

But the only thing the audience cares about, of course, is the revelation that you're in love.

You're cackling with delight at his dilemma, before pointing out that unless it was spelled out, no-one would be able to guess at the truth.

In the end, he quote tweets your post with [on your enemies-to-lovers arc i see].

There's an afternoon where you fall asleep on his sofa wearing one of his merch hoodies, one of his personal ones, oversized even on him, that had been tossed to the side but still clean enough for your liking. He'd been trying to get a cute and not-blurry photo of Patches in some of the new pet-merch, but she wasn't interested, clearly, preferring to trot out to you, curling up, radiating purrs by your stomach as you napped.

The photo he takes doesn't have your face in frame, but if anyone looked hard enough they could probably make an educated guess as to who was in the photo. There's something so soft about it, about how Patches was blinking happily at the camera as her little paws came to rest on your arm, warm and comfortable in the afternoon light.

"Patches, my beloved," you mumble groggily as you crack an eye open. It takes you half a moment to take in the scene, but you seem content to brush off her apparent favouritism by telling him that the hoodie smells like him. Your half asleep mind meant it to be an explanation for the cat's behaviour, but as you close your eyes again, you miss the way he goes vaguely pink and endeared, as you bury yourself further into the hoodie as best you can.

When you wake properly, you give your blessing for him to post it to Instagram. But the thing that catches you off guard is that he's made it his lock screen.

"Accidentally shittalking you might be the best thing I ever did," you murmur, tracing his features, illuminated by the moonlight streaming through the window. He laughs, and your fingers follow the curve of his cheek. Like this, he is beautiful, and he is yours.

You want to tell him you love him, so you do.

I can be funny. im a clown. still there's not enough things abt my writing that make me laugh. but THIS scene from popsicles....10/10 comedic genius obviously:

The only person who could stop this bet and all the craziness surrounding it wasn’t even doing anything.

“Chiron,” he pleaded, facing the centaur. “Help— you’re reading?” Their teacher was doing just that. He was tired of their bullshit, most likely.

“Hmm?” he was too engrossed to look up.

“ Chiron.”

“What?” This time, he glanced Percy’s way.

“Wait a minute,” said Silena, gobsmacked. “Are you reading... Twilight?”

Even Katie stopped assaulting Travis to stare at Chiron in shock. The only sound that could be heard was the one of someone munching on Cheetos. Actually, it was kind of gross. Percy realized it was Connor. He’d unfortunately picked up a fallen bag of the flaming-hot Cheetos.

The son of Hermes noticed Percy staring and held out the bag. Want some? he mouthed, fire trailing down his chin.

Percy shook his head vehemently.

Silena gaped at Chiron. “Oh my gods—that is Twilight!”

Chiron’s expression was one of a deer caught in the headlights, but he quickly composed himself. “My child, you are dislexic,” he sniffed.

She snorted. “So? I can still recognize a cover.”

Clarisse whistled under her breath. It was hard for anyone to keep a straight face at this point. Chiron put the book away with what little dignity he had left.

“It’s not wrong or anything,” Silena told him.

“Child, that was not—”

“First of all, don’t call me ‘child’ when you charge for the things in the camp store. If it weren’t for the Hermes cabin, some of us wouldn’t have toiletries or any necessity. Like, what the fuck? If we’re not adults, then how do you expect us to have money? The shirts aren’t even cute”

Everyone looked as astonished as Percy felt.

Well, she finally snapped.

“The volume inside this room is astronomical,” someone murmured, probably Michael Yew.

“Oh, and also watch where you go to the bathroom. I’ve had to clean more horse shit-stained shoes and play the therapist to my siblings more times than I’d ever dreamed of doing.”

Connor spit out a mouthful of Cheetos.

Everyone stared at the little flames on the ground. He turned his laughter into a cough. “Sorry, sorry.” He didn’t sound sorry.

What Silena had said hit home to most of the demigods; Percy shuddered, recalling the soft feel of manure under his feet and how badly his cabin had smelled afterwards.

Silena paid them no mind, still focused on Chiron. “And when they have no more shoes because they’re all full of shit —can they get new ones? No, because the camp store isn’t free!”

The counselors murmured in agreement.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re his favorite or not,” Percy whispered to Annabeth. “She’s right.” Annabeth gave him a pointed look that read: shut up.

Both Chiron and Silena had a silent standoff. Silena’s cheeks were red from anger; Percy took back the thought of her being non-intimidating, because right now she seemed plenty scary.

One of Chiron’s eyes twitched.

And i dont even think its paid off since one commenter was excited to see that i used real existing restaurant in price of blood like 5 years ago but please know that almost every fic comes with 2-3 hours of extensive research and i still get things wrong sometimes and im just desperately waiting for people to both notice and ask me about it because i know SO MUCH random information specifically for fanfiction and my original works

From OP: To clarify, the assistant would have to do 20 panels for a week (from what was stated). However, it definitely has to be done before a week since it has to be ready by Sunday. With the pay of $450 USD total, that’s $22.50 per panel. I think the assistant would spend 30 - 45 min per panel if RS is hiring someone who can do it fast.

I’m iffy on the payment but I still need to clarify because I feel some of these asks have some misleading information or misinterpreted the post in this next section.

6. you know what the nastiest part is about this pay discourse? rachel is purposely ONLY posting this on her social media instead of through actual artist scouting, because she knows theyd laugh at how much work shes demanding for such little pay, but her fans would do anything to "be friends" with her, so they wont question her or her actions. this is so shady of her to do.

7. rachel should prove the haters wrong and actually do the art instead of having five other people who get no character sheets and only sketches to work off of and paying damn near nothing for it, that'll show em.

8. tbh the most insidious part about rachel scamming her fans out of work is that we know not only will they not get a cent out of the FP money, but eventually she'll put them in a print book, meaning she'll be making even MORE money off their work, while they don't get a cent from it. more so, unlike other comics with actual backgrounds, VFX, lettering, etc, lineart and flats are the ONLY thing that goes into LO, so they are quite literally doing all her work. i'm disappointed by unsurprised.

9. the amount of LO stans defending how badly rachel is paying and then going "id work for free just to brag i worked with her!" is so??? bad??? just because you like LO does not mean you should let her pay so low or even get free work out of you, bc at the end of the day SHE is getting all the fp money, the merch sales, and eventually she'll put that underpriced work in a book and make even more money off of it while you get nothing out of it. shes banking off "for exposure" instead of actual pay.

10. rachel deleting her tweet showing shes shit at paying for labor only she benefits from and being roasted in the QRTS about it ... name a more iconic duo than her and her easily bruised ego, ill wait.
