Some witch: * fills a glass jar with crystals, herbs, salt, and glitter, then chucks it in a bush in their local park *
The jar: * breaks *
The salt and glitter: * spills into the soil *
The soil: * becomes infertile *
Plant: * dies *
Some animal: * gets hurt on the broken glass *
Another animal: *chokes on the lid ring *
The nature spirits: "what the actual fuck"
The witch: "why isnt my spell working :(((("

my opinion on shifttok
ok, we all know that tiktok in general is a very toxic, harmful place for people that are growing up.
my opinion on shifttok isn’t going to be very… new? but it’s going to have some of the good parts, yk?
im not making this blog long bc i dont care a lot abt tiktok 💀💀
anyways, i hate shifttok. the negativity there, the lies, the manipulation is sooo SOOO harmful, and im tired of it. the fact there r so many people, witches included, that manipulate their viewers “if u don’t watch to the end/like/follow/ do x y z, then u will never shift!!” has me fed up.
let me tell everyone this, if u don’t interact with a post bc u don’t care, you aren’t goin to be held accountable by the universe, because that person just wants fame. hell, half the videos i see on there, even if the person doesn’t look interesting to me, i am SCROLLING faster than a foxy can run, okay?
there is nothing wrong with not caring, as long as you aren’t putting anyone in harms way, yk? and by not liking or following, you are not killing anyone!! if anything, they r trying to guilt trip u for their own gain. if there was genuinely something going on that is serious, i doubt it would be on tiktok.
anyways, back to shifttok…
i think shifttok is a good *introduction to shifting* place. just to know what it is, what it’s like and to learn the basics. it’s like having a pen pal is something fun, u can learn about them, but once u find out they have a different view than u, i highly doubt u would take their advice on something u disagree ruth, yk?
so, all and all, shifttok as a hole is a toxic place — but if it wasn’t for tiktok, witchtok and shifttok, then would u have been introduced to shifting at 15? 16? or u could have possibly never been able to find it.
of course, everything is going to come to you if u need it, but sometimes bc something doesn’t blow up for at least a short period of time, you would have been introduced to it LATER!
what im getting at is, introduction ≠ learning from the place. i was introduced to witchcraft in church, under the blind-eyes of christian’s, but once i did my own research and talked to people with their own experiences, that’s when i found it how helpful it can be.
that’s all. shifttok is still bad, but there’s always *something* even the tiniest bit of hope in the bad.

Im not going to lie step kiddos; I’ve been feeling really sad an inadequate as of late. But instead of being angry and upset we’re going to sit down and work it out together
Heres some bread I baked (:

Power 🧠:
Four of disks, Chesed through earth,
The hard work of three has paid off now bitch its imposter syndrome time. While having stability and having the fruits of your labor something about it seems almost untrustworthy. You may have a fear of loss, or perhaps a greed for more depending on the struggle to get here. While you finally achieve stability do not over estimate it or underestimate yourself you do deserve good things.
Princess of Cups 🐢🪽:
Venus in water signs, Earth in the waters of Briah, Malkuth
You are on an island surrounded by water around you. You may be missing research, depth, or wisdom at the moment but you do have a moment of emotional freedom. Secluded and alone you can feel out your emotions however you can also sink into the emotions and give into day dreaming which is where you can feel inadequate to dreams you may be incapable of achieving atm.
Prince of swords 🦚 ⚔️:
21° Cap to 20° Aqu, Airs of Yetzirah, Tiphareth
OKAY so the air aspect of air: at best you’re pure manifestation and a plethora of creative thoughts at your worst you can be confusing and argumentative. Without any of the other elements its like hermes story of using his intelligence to cheat and lie through life. You need to get out of your head. Use your creativity but stop being mean to yourself. Utilize the other elements to manifest while also try and do something which will chase them mean voices away (I feel you girl its not easy :(
Story:
You know I’ve been all over the internet and I’m on tiktok because spending a humiliating amount of time looking at food online is my only hobby. But as of late witchtok took me back into its clutches. Now I don’t consider myself a witch: im a chaos magician but to each their own with their titles. The shocking combination of “tinned fishtok” aka rich people trying to appropriate and raise the value of my beloved canned fish. Along with the constant argument between practitioners of morals or karma or what have you. But I am about to end this whole debate. Yes; an no. Listen we live in a world where nothing is real yet everything is real at the same time. Our paradigms are shaped differently and are unique based upon our lives and experiences. Everyones moral code will be different. No you probably won’t change anyones mind by yelling at them on the internet. The other thing to look at is not every intention is going to be 100% good all the time and not every intention can be 100% bad. The words themselves good and bad are also subjective. While I think it’s admirable that some practitioners want to dedicate themselves to the “good” theres more than good out there. And what happens if your suppressed “bad” feelings come out in a negative way? So here it is; nothing is real and everything is real all at once. Thats why so many people who you would think would have similar practices have very different ones because the way magic looks and manifests to them depends on their reality which is different from their peers or yours. Anyways thats my rant I hope you come around for a rant/story/ reading another time I love that so many of you like my readings. (:

Wait im sorry. I need to talk about witchcraft real fast
First of all; magic and science are one in the same, always have been always will be, so jot that down.
The line between the two is ever fluctuating and drawn by whether or not it invokes WONDER and if you ENJOY and REVEL!!! In that wonder.
Magic, as i am talking about it right now (the spell jars and the cord cuttings and all the shit those witchtokers are doing) still follows the laws of physics! Those spells DO NOT WORK ~MAGICALLY~! They are a TOOL to help you steer your focus and keep that focus ENGAGED on what it is you are trying to achieve!
Tell me--what is going to be more effective at helping you get money.
A.) Endlessly scouring job listing sites for a better paying job because thats the Logical way to get more money.
Or B.) Doing a silly little money spell on a full moon, all dressed up and maybe a little inebriated with candles and herbs, singing a silly like chant or just straight us putting on a Song like "money money money money money money money money money money motherfucker -- Money on my motherfuckin m i n d"--all of which puts the *search for money* quest on your mind in a POSITIVE and fun challenge light--where before you know you, like after learning a new word for the first time, you start seeing opportunities pop up everywhere! Your friend mentioned their work place is short staffed! You go to your favorite game store and chat with the clerk about it and he says hes been thinking about hiring someone if your interested! You suddenly get a few asks about you potentially doing commissions!!!
Magic is not about ACTUALLY changing the world around you its about opening your eyes to SEE THINGS MORE CLEARLY, MORE BRIGHTLY, MORE WONDEROUSLY!!! Coincidences are beautiful!!!!! Coincidences are something to be treasured and looked upon fondly, not disregarded as something "mere" or inconsequential!!!!
Every society in the world every culture every human EVERYONE!!!!!! fucking believed in magic once upon a time!!! We used ethereal heavenly mystical words to describe the world around us because it is WONDEROUS!!!!!!!!! And this perpetual push to demystify Everything to explain Everything to remove the soul the energy from Everything is wretched!!! It is wretched behaviour!!!
If you are talking about magic, if you are talking about science, it doesn't matter--don't brush it off as "not that special". Dont let yourself say "whatever, its just what it is".
Let yourself be dazzled by it. Let yourself engage with it in excitement and openness and delight. I am so fucking serious. Endeavor to incorporate Wonder into your daily life. Let yourself feel the magic of being alive.

being a modern witch fuckin sucks. i have to learn everything from scratch, even beyond the individual affinities aspect of it, because only the basics survive in nonfiction. even family or local coven grimoires arent going to help me because while theyre certainly NOT to be dismissed they may well be fairly specialized to these insulated histories from these small pockets and will never have encountered what im specifically dealing with. all the ancestral wisdom has literally and figuratively been burned away and i cannot learn from ashes. looking up "what to do about a malicious spirit possibly a mimic" and all you get is eighty kazillion fiction books, witchtok which i have never touched but i know is real and is definitely unreliable, and the fucking supernatural wiki

and i also want to add this:
even some of my non-religious/non-worshipping/atheist/agnostic friends say stuff like “may athene help me with studying for exam and may she pls also give her blessing the pen i write with usually” or “apollo guide this damn flue out my system” or something, even if it sounds silly. and they feel better afterwards bc they feel like they did something to promote their success in life, but they still basically know jack shit about how gods are “traditionally worshipped”. and when whatever they pray for goes well, they thank the deity for helping and go on with their life. it’s non-committed.
you don’t have to have one god you pray to exclusively and all the time every day every hour (absolutely do that if you want to ofc <3), switch it up! that’s why there are multiple with different things they reign over. ask for hestia to bless your house/room/apartment after cleaning it, care for your pets in the name of artemis and/or apollo, take a second to watch a funny video and laugh, play a harmless “prank” (like appearing behind them with a sly “hello there”) on a friend or family member thanking loki you succeeded and everybody had a laugh.
when i first started working with deities i felt pressured to do grandiose prayers every day and i was afraid of doing something wrong (probably bc of witchtok at that time… but that’s another story (im so glad i don’t have other social media than tumblr pinterest and youtube anymore)).
i was worried for nothing… don’t be afraid to offend gods… they’re like so old they’ve seen some shit, people have probably muderded wrongfully in their name! you’re don’t gonna do much harm.
imagine them like an old tree, maybe you come across it and just take a second to rest under its branches, when you like it there you come back more often!
walking up to a tree and looking at it, saying something weird to it, accidentally leaving your bag at its roots isn’t gonna kill the tree, the tree isn’t gonna kill you. just pick it up if you need it again. if you feel bad, you can apologise, but the tree isn’t gonna disappear bc you didn’t.
same with gods.
have a wonderful day!!! <333 :3
Friendly reminder that you don't need to be on any “level” of witchcraft to worship the Hellenic gods because
1. Being a polytheist or a pagan doesn't equal being a witch.
2. These deities were worshipped by literal children back then as there was no fear of them being harmed.
If someone is telling you “this deity is for beginners/advanced practitioners/whatever” then they're either misinformed or they're purposefully trying to seem spiritually above you so you consider them as some sort of spiritual guide.

idk if you guys remember my drawings of dean winchester jr, his sister, and the fitzgerald kids being friends, but here’s the part TWO (better this time)
Tumblr media
(tap for better quality)
hcs under the cut:
idk of these look like teenagers but sam and cas are both 18, dean is two years younger than them at 16, and jody is two years younger than him at 14
oh yeah dean has a younger sister. her name is jody. honestly i’d name her something different now but my friends who invented her came up w jody and i feel like paying homage to them so it’s jody now 😌 maybe i’ll change it eventually since this is kinda my version
they all live in the same modest suburban area and investigate supernatural happenings together + kinda keep tabs on the secret life of the monster youth
sam (winchester) told his kids about the supernatural and they’re all just kind of witchy in their day to day lives. every other friday the winchester-leahys preform the family bonding Blood Ritual to summon auntie rowena over for dinner
jody and dean are both fluent in asl and often use it to their advantage. id like to imagine they go to the same high school and will sign things to each other from across the hallway and then get in trouble bc they called jody’s mean physics teacher a cunt right in front of him
dean inherited his fathers weird thing about serial killer podcasts, except he likes to investigate cold case files. his favorite thing is looking at some old super famous unsolved mystery and realizing that it was probably because of a ghost or vampire or some shit, bc it makes him feel special that he (and a few other ppl) are the only ones who’ll ever know the real answer
it’s kind of a family of nerds. jody pretends not to be but she is and she regularly participates in dean’s freakish magic science experiments
they regularly almost burn down the house together. eileen is so long-suffering (sam w. contributes to the chaos although he denies it when she’s around)
their prank wars are like magic prank wars. lots of (mostly) harmless hex bags are placed into each other’s backpacks
OH JODY MAKES THEM ALL FILM TIKTOKS WITH HER ADJHJNWJGD. THIS IS TRUE AND FACTUAL she is on witchtok and like just posts complete bullshit but with enough real magic to the point where she can fuck with people. it brings her great joy
sam (fitzgerald) very willingly does the trends with her he thinks it’s fun. actually lets talk about the fitzgerald twins
so basically they have the sweetest most loving least nuclear nuclear family ever. from my vague memory of the ep it’s just them, garth and bess, and their older sister who’s probably moved out so yknow. rowdy 18 year olds with the house to themselves. they’re super different but love each other and know how to live with each other after like over a decade of being the top and bottom bunk on the bunk bed (cas got top, sam was afraid of heights as a child)
they both wear the silver bullet necklaces that the whole family wears, n both are happy to. sam kind of secretly wishes he could just be a regular human boy, so he appreciates the message of “you’re just like a human! you are no better than them, so love everyone equally :).” cas actually kinda likes being a werewolf but he appreciates the message the necklace offers of “hey ur stronger and better than literally all humans but you can still die so, don’t eat them i guess.”
oh if you couldn’t tell cas is the emo one. sam took after the general fitzgerald household vibes of overeagerness and love and happy times! cas just tries to be… anything but that. he probably listens to, like, death grips.
he’s still a big hugger, though. kind of ruins his image when he’s saying goodbye to some acquaintance and almost instinctively goes in for a snuggle.
they both kinda tend to get into fights. there’s a similarly peaceful vampire family in town who just thinks they’re ~so much better~ than them, and it even pisses SAM off and he’s like a walking talking marshmallow cookie.
sam actually has like a secret aggressive streak just bc he’s very defensive over his family and friends. listen i know he sounds like a mary sue shut up shut up shut u—
sometimes cas gives jody piggyback rides if she asks nicely. he pretends to be super annoyed by it but he likes the opportunity to use his super strength every once in a while. sam is also very easily persuaded if jody asks nicely, but usually she is asking him to pick up dean just to piss him off.
i think it’s very funny how dean and cas are like the Intellectuals and they’ll talk about politics and current events and social justice and jody and sam are the Artists and will interrupt them to be like “look we broke two skateboards in half and then stuck them together in a plus sign shape to make the Mega Skateboard” and then jody tries it out in the driveway and then they have to drive to the hospital. huzzah
im out of hcs so here’s some bonus doodles

hello! so i know witchtok is filled with misinformation and i usually don’t take it seriously, but i saw a video of someone talking about how when they devoted themself to aphrodite, she put them through “trials” that were life threatening. im pretty sure that’s bs but as someone who’s been preparing to devote myself to aphrodite, that scared me a bit and i guess i’m just looking for reassurance that i won’t be put through any trials like that? i just thought you would know for sure since you’re devoted to her
sorry to bother and i hope you have a good day!! <3
Hello, love!
The gods are not ever going to put you in life threatening situations. Like why would they do that?? What is even the point or purpose of possibly killing off a potential devotee?? It makes zero sense and honestly is likely just the typical fear mongering that witchtok loves.
Please don't pay any mind to any claims of the gods causing harm especially anything life threatening.
Could you be put through "trials" or "tests" or "labors"?? Sure but nothing even remotely life threatening or harmful.

big hot topic on tiktok that has been talked abt often that i wanna throw my two cents in abt the discussion but will do so here bc its going to be way easier than condensing it in 60 seconds and ppl will get even more mad abt it on there. under a cut so you can just not look if you don’t want to as it’s probably long and no one likes this discussion
disclaimer: im not jewish. culturally or religiously at all. so i do not have the best of insight of jewish folklore and i will mainly be repeating what i have heard jewish ppl say on it but you listening to jewish ppl on it will invariably be way more helpful. ultimately i am not talking to make an argument for or against lilith worship bc i can’t make that call, mainly just that arguments for it i see tend to be deeply flawed. ive seen jewish people who say they don’t care if people worship her and ive seen jewish people who are very much against it and frankly no one needs my non jewish ass giving them permission on it, i just don’t like some of the harmful arguments and at times BLATANT anti-Semitism i see in the discussions
“lilith isn’t a closed practice!!! she cant be closed!!! she’s a being/deity we can all recognize!!!”
this i feel starts with a misunderstanding of what “closed practice” means. a closed practice is a very broad term to describe any practices, typically spiritually in nature that are not freely shared 100% openly, usually due to trying to preserve cultural or religious practices. you can learn about most of them--if you go to a primary source. many people of closed practices are open about talking about it and teaching it to people who are interested, and some cannot due to years of oppression and theft of those said practices. some require initiation, and a lot of them are passed down with heavy cultural ties. and most importantly “closed practice” is a relatively new understanding of cultural preservation after colonization.
judaism isn’t a ‘fully closed’ religion, but it does have a set conversion order in place, and typically while converting you will learn under a rabbi or teacher. a lot of jewish mysticism, magic, and folklore are passed down culturally, so even converts may take a very long time to learn all the ins and outs of it. and a lot of times jewish practices, beliefs, texts, and folklore has been wholesale stolen by western new-age spiritualists, occultists throughout the ages, and demonized by people who seek to harm jewish people as a whole.
the pure fact of the matter is that unless you are learning from jewish people theres going to be a lot of things about lilith you don’t know. your understanding outside of the cultural jewish understanding of her is very different, yet you are the one who also constantly equates them as the same being with the same stories, with some modifications. yet time and time again whenever a jewish person would express anxiety over it (as she can be viewed as a very HARMFUL spirit to jewish people and not a deity for them) you talk over them and call them sexist, and when they try to correct you over misunderstandings of her stories you tell them you know more than them.
with closed practices what doesn’t matter is your bloodline or your skin, it is about the information you have access culturally, and that information may be kept from people like you so that the faith in question can be preserved because it has been threatened. and yes, jewish people have had their cultural, spiritual, and religious practices threatened. it isn’t about keeping you out because they don’t like you, its about the fact that you don’t know everything and the way you are going to learn it will be difficult and very different. ive seen white voodou workers who are actual recognized practioners (sorry for the lack of proper terminology on this i know they have proper words/titles but i dont know them), and they didn’t just look up whatever they could find online, they had to seek out a priest to learn from, and it took a lot of time and training.
there is a way to approach closed religious/spiritual practices, and someone saying ‘this is closed’ is not them saying ‘go away you cant even look at or be interested in this thing it is not for and never will be for people like YOU’. and ultimately HOW you go about approaching it will be decided by someone in that culture, and not however you feel would be the best way to do it as an outsider.
“how could so many people, if they aren’t actually contacting the “real lilith” be wrong? if shes from a closed practice she couldn’t reach out to so many people right? so they aren’t doing anything disrespectful”
spirits, deities, and other entities from closed practices do reach out to outsiders on occasion and the correct course for dealing with that is to immediately find a person of religious/spiritual authority and trying to work with that person to better understand why. again the point above: you do not have the cultural knowledge to work with them, you do not understand how to identify them, what practices best suit them, the multitudes of stories around them, and history of them working with humans. if you actually value them as an entity it is imperative you understand from a PRIMARY source all of this information, not just second and third hand accounts of outsiders.
and also a lot of colonizers have claimed to be personally connected or contacted by entities from a closed practice and use that as an excuse to not only not learn, but speak as an authority figure about them. there are people who claim to work with shinto spirits with absolutely 0 actual knowledge on shintoism yet feel like they have an authority to speak on it. there are people who claim to have been contacted by voodou, hoodou, and vodun spirits/entities and know nothing about it yet speak as authority figures on it. i’ve seen someone do it for a polynesian god. they did not care about actual learning, they cared about their own beliefs, validating those said already existing beliefs, and getting validation online. am i saying everyone is doing this with lilith? no. but saying “people wouldnt just lie/be wrong right?” yeah. yeah it happens all the time.
“they don’t even like her, they fear her, she’s a demon to them and is actually from babylonia, we are NOT worshipping the same version as her and they don’t even want anything to do with her so why does it matter”
in terms of actual cultural study a lot of jewish and christian stories are born from the cultures their people have had contact with. historically yes, jewish people have been in babylonia, assyria, and that area, and have made cultural exchanges with those people. a lot of cultural sharing has occured throughout history, but the jewish tellings of the stories have particularly jewish cultural knowledge and heritage in them. also we frankly do not have a lot of concrete surviving stories of lili, lilu, and lilitu, so i know you are not basing the meat and bones of your practice on those unless you have access to that cultural knowledge that not even archaeologists and anthropologists even know exists. most of it is on middle ages mysticism that developed her further based on jewish folklore and religious stories.
also just because a culture doesn’t worship and revere a spirit doesn’t mean it is yours for the adopting and taking. we see this with the cannibalistic spirit i will not name from algonquin tribes and shapeshifting spirits/witches i also will not name from navajo. these are not spirits you’re supposed to mention or talk about, and even more so because their culture has such intense, negative stories around them means you should probably give it a little more thought.
the last point i am going to make is the general, overt anti-semitism i see. stop comparing judaism to christianity. stop saying they are evil and misrepresent her because judaism is inherently sexist. stop saying they are oppressing your culturally christian raised ass. stop saying jewish people have no culture of their own and its “all stolen from pagan traditions” (which are somehow all equally open for you to take from too i suppose, as though middle eastern practices are exactly the same cultural weight as all white european ones)
again im not for the forceful closing of practices and i cannot give you fucking permission as i sure as shit do not know but i don’t think any of you even understand what “closed practice” means and why jewish people might have even the slightest misgivings about you working with or worshipping her and it really shows. if you have been heavily studying the occult, jewish traditions, and are doing so respectfully then i sure as hell am not here to argue with you about it so don’t come at me for it. what i am saying is a lot of people who do not have that and are absolutely disrespectful towards judaism and jewish people as a whole really keep making an ass of themselves on witchtok and are absolutely insufferable towards any jewish person who voices their thoughts and feelings on it, and i have a problem with that.

hello, say i was interested in witch craft and would like to find out more about it, possibly even start practicing it, where would i start looking for reliable information? and how can i tell wrong information from right one? like, as i’ve found out in the last weeks witchtok would be a bad source of information, but i wouldnt have known, had it not been for the whole moon-debacle. i was wondering if you knew some reliable sources with correct information
this is an excellent question. this is something a lot of witches struggle with, especially in the age of technology and consumerism.
generally, people putting out information on here or whatever will either cite their sources or state that the content is not an exhaustive list and only works for them. whenever I put out original content, I always say that this is simply what works for me. if you're unsure, you could always ask the poster about their sources.
if a witch claims their way is the One True Way, they're probably full of shit.
if you're looking at books, see if the book has an about the author section. if not, look online for the author. if the name is something like "celeste silverwind", I'd be wary. a lot of new witchcraft books are written or ripped off from other books, with a fancy witchy name for the author. a lot of witchcraft books don't cite their sources either, but if they do, its a fair bet that this book is okay.
if youre looking for info on witchcraft online, i actually prefer to use folklore and facts and then tailor it. for example, say im looking for the correspondences for violets. I like to go on Wikipedia and look at the folklore section, and see what people in the past have used violets for. however, again, if youre looking at a site, take a look at the about section. see who its run by.
if youre concerned something is culturally appropriative, look up the writer. i saw on instagram recently a woman who changed her name to sound ~exotic~ after 30 days of yoga training. and what do you know, she was a white woman, profiting off of other cultures.
essentially, check their sources and check the author. look at history and lore.
although I'm not wiccan, I find this site to be helpful:
here is a question I answered about books as well:
in my opinion, these books are pretty good!
basically:
check sources. if in doubt, ask the poster
don't trust people who insist their way is the only way
check the author out or the about page
go with your gut. if you think something is a load of nonsense, it probably is
history and folklore can give you very accurate and good information as its not based on feelings or personal practices
don't trust white people practicing closed cultures like voodoo, or if they're teaching other white people
I hope this helps!

ahh, this might seem like a stupid question, but how do i start getting into witchy stuff. i've been seeing stuff about it and it seems really interesting but i have no idea how to start. sorry if this question sounds dumb!!
Lmao no its fine, its incredibly confusing and most people arent very helpful. There are a lot of good resources on tumblr  if you look through the witchblr and baby witch tag, just be a but careful of cultural appropriation and misinformation. The witch of wonderlust on youtube is great for beginners, and i can attempt to answer specific questions. chaoticwitchaunt on tiktok is also pretty informational and cool, but i'd stay away from witchtok for the most part, wack stuff happens over there. Sorry if this is really overwhelming/confusing i'm incredibly tired rn. Im also happy to attempt to answer questions too tho.

How did you come in contact with paganism first? Are there particular Gods you believe in?
I've always had this...obsession? with mythology?? Mostly Greek but I liked Norse mythology too (one of my favorite books which i read when i was 12 was about norse) So when I was like,, 13?? I think??? I was kinda like "so i know polytheism is dead but id rather believe in this kinda stuff than what my stepfamily believes in". Then i found out about real witches on witchtok (yeah im on tik tok shush) and paganism (which id heard of before, but back then it felt like those crazy tv cults rather than religion). im still researching a lot of stuff (I've only been a witch for like a week or two lmaoo) but ive "believed" in the greek pantheon since i was 12 (very basic, i know) and im looking into norse/egyptian and just. random others, i just dont know enough about them at the moment because of my old fixation on ancient greece

AHA SPOOKY TIME IS MY TIME TO SHINE
When I was little I started to have short premonition dreams at around age ten, I spoke about it to my class, and I had this friend from a nomad culture who knew exactly what I was talking about. We were sitting on the playground, when I look up and suddenly every color had drained and everything I saw was in grey, like an old movie.I blinked and my sight goes back to normal, but this friend turned to me and said « Did you see everything in red too ?! »
Im also very often( way to often) visited by spirits of all kinds. There was that time that ghost with red eyes and a white dress, hat and umbrella (Like French people in the 1920s) gave me this nightmare where she challenged me to escape her.She was giving me a non stop nightmare where she was waking me up in my bed and I was trying to run away or make her go away and I kept failing.in one of tries I got the stairs before her claws had grabbed me by the chest. When I finally woke up for real I had marks over my ribs.
There are also the few times I got hexed, but that Imma keep secret 🤫 (Don’t worry I hit them back and I’m fine )
There’s also, like, I’m more or less able of seeing the representation of someone’s current inner self, the same way your medium MC goes into the Other.Let me tell you, when people are overwhelmed or driven by hatred, anger, or desperate jealousy it shows and it ain’t pretty
Okay both of those top stories reminds me of my nightmares! All the saturation just leaving and then poof, it’s back. Creepy things trying to taunt me. Ahhhh It’s some creepy shit…
Idk if this’ll make me sound like a lame ass but I’ve been watching stuff on witchtok and I’ve seen stuff about hexes and I find it so interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever been hexed but then again I don’t really know the signs of it.
And wow that’s super interesting! I can’t imagine how intense strong emotions must be to see (I really need to reread what I’ve written for Shadow Play lmao)

Ok, I just spent an hour googling cause a lot of this sounded wrong. I was right. Please always look things up for yourself.
Carnelian is fine in water.
Calcite dissolves in water.
Galena wont just rust, it'll kill you. Its mostly Lead Sulfide (PbS). Lead poisoning could happen.
Halite is rock salt. It is going to dissolve and if you try to consume it, you will taste it for sure.
Hematite, Lodestone, and Pyrite are iron rich and will rust over long periods of time, but brief cleaning and towel dry is fine. Pyrite will not hurt you.
Labradorite will lose its irridescence if it soaks.
Lepidolite, and Muscovite are forms of Mica. Its oil soluble and will sink in water. Mica is already super soft and easy to break, water doesnt really affect that.
Moldavite is unaffected by water.
Opals are tricky. Natural opals are fine in water, even stored in water until they're cut. Man made opals have a tendency to fracture along layer faults.
Pearls require moisture. In fact the oils on your skin are good for them. You shouldnt submerge them though. If they seem to lack luster or its been hot and dry, leave them beside a wet cloth. The humidity will be good for their maintenance.
Selenite, Angelite, and Celesite are all varying forms of Gypsum. Angelite left to soak in water will eventually turn white and revert to Celestite. Celestite and Selenite will both dissolve completely in water given enough time. Its non toxic, but consumption isnt recommended.
Turquoise is porous. Water is generally okay, but if your water is even a little acidic, it will damage the color or cause breakage.
Obsidian is glass. Water is fine, and by "extreme temperatures" Im guessing the graphic is supposed to mean "dont just plunk it into very hot water."
Ulex is apparently short for Ulexite which took a minute to figure out, as its a mineral Im not familiar with. I dont encourage this abbreviation as Ulex is also a plant. However a quick google tells you Ulexite is mostly boron, as in Borax. Its not wise to get large amounts of it on your skin, but its only somewhat water soluble.
So here is a short list, some sources below.
When it comes to crystal care, I frankly take the advice of geologists and jewlers as always more credible than witchtok or witchblr. While social media is great for ideas, hard research is always needed.

So I pointed this out to the other person, mossy teeth, last night, if you go over to TikTok you'll see indigenous people and practitioners of voodoo using paganism and witchcraft as tags in their own videos as a way of letting people who are pagan and wiccan know what practices are closed to them. Because otherwise they don't see the videos and then they're doing something stupid like using white sage are trying to summon the Loa.
I dont have tiktok, and you're literally on anon so idk if i should just be blindly trusting.
Regardless, his blog is disgusting. He's truscum, he called nb scum, he wants people to appropriate from others. He encourages it!!!
Even if this all started out as a misunderstanding, its gotten so much worse because ndns just keep getting excuses.
Search his blog. Look up native american, or if you wanna be really upset, search sjwbs.
Im not as active in witchblr these days, but I have heard witchtok is a mess, so maybe he should think more critically about what he's posting

hi so first of all i love your blog! i have a question: so basically i came across a video by a guy on tik tok basically stating that he was working with aphrodite and angered her and now he can't enter into relationships anymore bc she's mad at him and as a person who recently started looking into working with her im kinda scared now (despite what i've seen other people state about their experiences with her, which was overwhelmingly positive). there seemed to be quite a few people agreeing with him. what are your thoughts on this?
I know you came here looking for my thoughts on Aphrodite but looking through my blog I think it’s fairly obvious where I fall in regards to this. Instead I’d like to talk about you. I think what you need to be asking yourself is why despite there being plenty of opposing views to what this guy is saying you are putting all your belief and energy into him. He’s a random stranger on the internet but you are giving him and his beliefs authority over you. You need to take a step back and ask yourself why because witchtok and the internet in general are filled with viewpoints like his. Ones that may inspire fear in you, and perhaps they are designed specifically to do that. So you have to learn to not let these people and their beliefs control you.
Personally I think you should get off witchtok entirely because you aren’t the first person to show up in my inbox scared after seeing something on there. It has the reputation of not only being fear-mongering but also just being completely inaccurate. So i don’t think it’s really worth the time or anxiety.
