Continuing my Adventure Time binge and I got to the Gunter/Orgalorg bits. Ice King took this horrible, cruel alien menace who's been seeking ultimate power for millennia and loved him, cuddled him, disciplined him (sometimes undeservedly) and overall sucked him into his deluded family unit. He did this for so long that when Gunter finally was given a chance for ultimate power -via the wishing crown - he chose instead to become Ice Thing. To become like his dad.

Simon dadded so hard that he turned two eldritch beings with capacity for immense destruction into daddies girls.

you're my favourite batfam fic writer. anytime i try reading another one, it's never as good. you're really good at conveying emotion in your work and i feel like that just makes it extra angsty.

awee, thank u anon 🩷 but i'm p sure there's other better authors out there whose works helped inspire mine. there's so many good batfam writers that i'm always at awe at every new ones that appear ngl.

yet my all-time favorite has always been @/klemen-tine, especially glass bones and paper skin. this fic resonated so deeply within me that the entire a&a series is just inspired off of it).

but again, thank you a lot for liking my works!!! i never thought that someday i'll be someone's favorite writer but here we are. the series has come so far 😭

see what’s so funny is im writing about her tragedy for one of my uni assignments rn and im actually doing a good job of being concise and focused about it!! but my Point: ‘her tragedy’ the episode sharing its name with ‘her tragedy’ the comic theme that scores nanami’s silliest most devious and absurd moments. ‘her tragedy’ being tweenaged anxieties, vanity and snobbery, an over-attachment to an older brother; ‘her tragedy’ being the alienation this thirteen year old girl experiences such that she is completely isolated in her abuse and unable to understand it, or anyone else’s. being disarmed by this comic presentation of nanami’s character such that when she stares at you in the lift she seems to be asking you, how could this happen? and you cannot answer her because you know you have left this narrative slowly unfold, laughing at her tragedies until they become too uncomfortable for you. and you have to live with that. and you have to live with that. Sometimes I think to myself "actually maybe I'm exaggerating the terror I felt from being stalked", but then I remember that the person in question followed me and waited for me outside my school every day, tracked me down on every website I'd spent even the slightest time on, left physical letters in my mailbox, sent creepy as hell novel length messages on a near daily basis on FB. And then when I was living abroad and I answered the phone I told the caller to text me cause I couldn't hear, after which I had to read "I was saying that you would probably be VERY scared if you knew who's calling... hehe" with my own damn fucking eyes...

And then I'm like yknow what nevermind!!!! the fact that I'm still terrified of being perceived and seen in public not just IRL but also FFXIV might be understandable actually!!!
