What's ur opinion on ink neglecting/forgetting his children (paperjam, gradient)?

I personally hate it

awful. you are so right, asker. everyone be more like katyalice they know what’s up. its literally the worst thing this fandom has made and im only partly exaggerating. do you think he wouldn’t be fucking ecstatic to have made something alive? if ink can remember the names of his parents whom he doesn’t see every day he would remember the names of his kids who he raises. even if the other parent isn’t in the picture he would try to be the best parent he could be.

like. kids come with so much possibilities. he’d go overboard making the best room he could even if they’re an infant who doesn’t need that many clothes or decorations. he would have a calendar in every room so he has something to remind him of events like birthdays and holidays he otherwise wouldn’t remember to celebrate. kids are interesting, they’re something he would spend so much time adoring. he gets to participate in the life of something he created? he would fucking love that!!!!!

he would be so involved in their lives because he probably didn’t even think he’d ever get this chance. he can’t create aus, he can’t create life. and then suddenly this baby exists?? and it’s HIS??? he’d love being a parent. he would have photos of his kids on him and brag about them even if he might mix up names from time to time. he would be ink-level of weird about it—a kid would come home being all angsty and ink would clap and say “ooh, now we’re in the edgy phase!!! i mean. go to your room.” he treats the kid more ‘real’ than he treats people from aus because this kid, in his eyes, is just like him. there’s no au that made them, no script, they were born outside of the multiverse with no story planned for them as far as he is aware!!! this kid is real.

and im not saying his memory loss just wouldn’t exist. i can see him mixing up names and/or faces. i can see him occasionally missing events or mixing up dates. i can see him forgetting that his kids, unlike him, need to eat until they remind him and then making food for them later than normal. but if he has an other parent there (which would definitely be the case with dream or swap, 50/50 for error depending on interpretation) they would help him with those things. they would help because that’s what partners and parents who give a shit do. his memory loss being portrayed as the trait of a villain is weird to me.

if he has kids and his memory issues are so severe that he cannot remember they exist or to take care of him, then he also shouldn’t remember the names or faces of friends or his parents or literally anyone else. his memory would not suddenly fail for specifically his kids because you want shipchild angst. it’s just. not good writing to completely mischaracterize one character for the sake of building up another.

and making ink abusive is just. no??? in his faq it says he tries to solve issues with words first and this would not change especially in a home environment??? if he doesn’t attack strangers because he wants to see if there’s another way to get around this, then he is definitely not someone who would hit his kids or partners. who do you think he is because your ink privileges should be taken away if you think this

TRADITIONAL ART DUMP!! ROUND 3!

welcome back to yet another art dump because i forget to post regularly. im going to try to cramp all of my past Arcana traditional artworks in here with mini explanations and categories, like the last rodeo (if you havent checked out my other art, you totally should)!

starting oldest to newest, as usual, i had redesigned Andrea's masquerade outfit! i realize i had no idea what i was doing with it at first and just kinda.. wung it. i'm not the best at designing clothing on my own so it ended up looking kinda.. wonky. i had a lot of ideas i wanted to vomit onto the page so now, i updated it, tweaked it a bit and kept the ideas i really liked and boom, baby! Andrea doesnt look so bad anymore!

on another note! i also created another MC! i had started lucio's route and created Drews! he looks an awfully lot like Andrea (because they're both based off of me 😅) but he has an entirely different personality, i'll post more about him in the future. his timeline is canonically Lucio's Route but i do also ship him polyamorous with Nadia and Asra (because uh, i said so) but Lucio is his main love interest.

after some time i decided that since i had given Julian and Andre a shipchild, i wanted to design some for Drews and his partners! i'm sure you can easily guess whos belong to whom.

around halloween time, i made the designs of Andrea and Drews' halloween costumes! Andrea is a mummy and Drews is an angel (to match Lucy, of course)! also i thought it'd be cute to reimagine our long man Julian and his Andrea as Jack and Sally (Nightmare Before Christmas)!

Omochao & Metaos (Metal Sonic x Chaos0)

A robotic chao, or a metallic one, probably would be the closest to a metaos shipchild. Which, surprisingly, there is a cannonical character that fits that definition! Its omochao. (Not to mention the reflective chao, which look metalic.)

Also, i dont even know if eggman made omochao. The little guy appeared into existance one day in sa1, and we dont question it because its omochao. What random dude took a look at chao and went "yup, you need to be a marketable wikihow bot" and everyone just rolled with it?

They dont have lips, so the equivalent of lipstick kisses must be like.. sticker and stamps. Red crayon doodles of heart on a forehead. Little flower petals stuck on the watery head.

Im guessing this is like.. day 3 of drawing metaos now? I started this because i wanted to understand the characters more and get a sense of their interactions outside of my fanfic, but it seems this has spiralled into a daily need to draw metal sonic and chaos 0 together, just.. constantly.

West x Icterid?

Welcome to my AskBox Elem! I know youve asked before but i didnt expect you to ask about west and icterid when we both havent introduced West yet lmao

West is a shared character of elem and mine. But hes mostly Elems character. Icterid is mine. They are basically a duo.

West has a little brother and Elem says hes a savage but i dont think we've decided on a name yet

Little backstory for newcomers, Icterid is a paintedwings/Fink(FinchxInk) shipchild with West as a Bluecode/Bluetooth(HackerxBlue).

Theres more shipkids of cracked ships we made but im waiting to figure out two of the kids designs and Elem draws and explains the other one.

Just so you know, the shipkids I speak of, these are the ships: swrrormare , lustxdream(still thinking of the name, maybe Cupidsarrow?), Bluetooth/Bluecode and lastly Fink/Paintedwings.

These as mentioned are bluetooth and paintedwings so heres west and icterid!

West is an obsessed bastard and icterid ends up injuring him quite a bit but he always comds running back like the lovestruck bitch he is(no offense)

Icterid and Him ended up getting together but before that, the name Nelson is one of two twins from swrrormare. Nelson and Icterid used to be partnees but Nelson would always ditch the other and leave him alone.

One scene i wrote and talked about with Elem was basically explaining about Icterid being sickly on his birthday and he expected Nelson to keep his word. Visiting and comforting him, but that doesnt end up happening and he finds a picture on instagram of the guy with (Twin 2) at the bar quite a few blocks away. Icterid acted up and then ended up getting a message from Finch saying happy birthday and has a present for him. Now West plays a major part becauss he got Icterid the gift and gave it to Finch to give to Icterid.

Just a bit a building and boom! Nelson and Icterids relationship in a nutshell, then with West and Icterid there relationship slowly builds.

Aswell as, if you guys want me to write a Ao3 story on this entire group i can do it. Just let me know!

Cross' POV

Dream's POV

After Dream had found him again, the siren was completely silent. There were no signs that they were capable of speech or even making the clicks and shrieks again. This was worrying, especially to Dream. This was a siren. They were supposed to shriek and sing and stuff but... this one couldn't. Not anymore. What had happened to them? They seemed only half as energetic as a few days ago. Were they hurt? In pain? Something like that?

He sighed from where he was sitting with them, holding them close and kind of comfortingly. They'd have to go through physical therapy, though really only after they figured out what had happened to their voice. For now, though, he figured he'd get to know them a bit. With a small smile, he stood, picking them up.

"Were gonna figure out your name and your preferred pronouns, ok?"

The siren nodded, leaning into him a bit. They'd probably never been this cared for, or they'd just had a bad experience of some sort. Dream didn't dwell on it. He carried them to the library, setting them down on a soft chair for now. He'd made sure they had clothes, just a simple shirt, and comfortable pants, that way they didn't wander around the castle naked. They walked over to a shelf and pulled out an old book of dialects and writings.

"Ok. What we're gonna do is you're gonna tell me how you spell your name with this book. Ok?" The skele-siren nodded and he opened the page to the dialects the siren might know since they had different ways to write than humans did.

The skeleton studied the different letters and pointed them out in order. Slowly, since he had to find them, they translated to C-r-o-s-s. Dream smiled a bit almost immediately.

"Cross... that's a lovely name, you know...?"

He watched the skeleton nod and smiled a bit more.

"Now, before I just assume your gender, are you a male or boy or whatever...?"

Another nod. He smiled just a bit more.

"Cross, a very wonderful and handsome siren..."

Cross smiled a bit at Dream. He'd already been told Dream's name and pronouns. He was just glad the skeleton was helping him out. Especially with how much his feet had hurt while trying to stand, though he'd been unable to stand properly anyway. His legs had felt like jello.

"So what can I do to help you, Cross...? Your voice is gone..."

Cross looked back at the book. He'd flipped to the mermaid dialects, and their translations, a bit to Dream's surprise, since he didn't think a siren would know mermaid. Making sure Dream was able to see it, he pointed to the letters. S-e-a w-i-t-c-h.

"Oh... did they take your voice...?"

He nodded.

"And how do we get it back...?"

K-i-l-l.

"Well... uh... that's a bit harsh... don't you think...?"

Cross shook his head. Poseiden, this was hard without his voice, even if he could only sing. He didn't quite know how to do this and convince Dream, or at least some of Dream's guards, to kill the witch and get his voice back. But he was determined to do it, so he spelled out p-a-p-e-r and, almost immediately, Dream was up and grabbing something to write down what he was going to say. Once he came back, Dream started writing whatever Cross pointed out.

"'Sea witch makes pain and has voice'...? like... your voice...?"

Cross nodded.

"And where can I find them...?"

A Bit of Assistance

"I thought you said to be here by 8."

"I did."

"So... why is it, like, 9:30 and you're just showing up?"

"Cause a little incident occurred, but it's fine."

Coffee Creamer moved to open up the cafe for the day. Stepping inside, he heard Nightmare follow and he started getting things ready, starting up machines, the lights, and getting the desserts that were made the night before. Nightmare moved to look around more properly.

It was easy to slip behind the counter, which had a small register. CC worked on setting out all of the breakfast items they served, which were seen through the glass front. He made sure all the labels were set accordingly and that none of the nut products combined with the non-nut ones, just in case. He also set some gluten-free ones off to the side for those with allergies.

Nightmare took a step back, examining all the machines and the kitchen while Creamer worked on the counter. Everything was cheap but looked like it worked well. It probably did with Creamer's ability to fix it all. Did he do upgrades too? He was distracted from his thoughts by CC speaking.

"Alright. Since we don't have time for training, you work the counter and tell me what people order. Menu's up there," he pointed to the ceiling. Nightmare's gaze followed it to see a menu above all of the machines.

"And you have a smaller one for yourself right here." He tapped an advertisement stand on the counter, of which the back had a smaller menu on.

"Do you need glasses to see this or do I need to get you a bigger menu?"

Anyone who was just watching them would think that Coffee was trying to be courteous, but he was being passive-aggressive in reality and kind of making fun of Nightmare for having one eyelight

"I can see perfectly fine, thank you very much."

"Then read that with picking it up and standing next to the register."

He nodded and looked at it, then squinted, "Uhhhmmm..."

CC rubbed the bridge of his 'nose', "Jesus Christ... alright. I'll get you a bigger one and, if you still can't see it, look at the giant one. People will know you're new so it's fine."

Nightmare waited as Coffee went to the back and came back with a menu he could set on the top of the register without blocking anything. This one was a bit easier to see and he quietly thanked CC. Creamer just nodded and turned on the open sign before moving to get the machines running. It took only minutes for people to start coming in and ordering the foods and drinks.

The one Nightmare found most peculiar was a skeleton with a black splotch on his cheek, almost like a bad bruise. He wore a brown painter's smock and had a hint of a marijuana smell, though not as noticeable among the smells of the food and coffee. Rather than going to the register, the skeleton headed to the side of the counter and called out for Coffee Creamer.

Nightmare watched the skeleton's companion, a skeleton with black, red, and yellow bones, blue "tears" falling down his cheeks, and a painting covering his face, sit down. The skeleton in the smock had started a conversation with Creamer while he made coffees and packed up bakery items to go. Nightmare just continued taking orders, noticing that Creamer was just as efficient as before.

The only thing that caught his attention, though, was a couple sentences in the conversation.

"Creamer, I got a question: Where's Ccino? And who's the new guy?"

"Dad fell down the stairs this morning, so he's in the hospital right now."

Concept is based off of this and is also mixed with the idea of the one turning younger remembering nkthing that you wrote about a couple days ago

Essentially: Dream tries to heal his brother after accidentally hurting him. It ends up going wrong

Lemme know if I should write more cause this is just a basic concept, but pretty much anyone can continue it how they like

A Tiny Nightmare

Dream shook as he took in what was in front of him. He was going to kill Sci. Now, he didn't just have a brother with a cracked eye. He had a 5 year old brother that would be in a huge amount of pain when he woke up.

This wasn't good.

But, on the other hand... he could save his brother before the prophecy would take over. He could raise his brother to be more like him and less like the villan he was predicted as.

He smiled, then started to laugh. He could. He could fix it all before it began. He just had to make sure that Nightmare followed in Dream's footsteps, rather than anyone like Nightmare's old friends.

Dream's thoughts paused when he heard a small whimper and felt fear and pain. Oh. Oh, he forgot to try and numb Nightmare's eye. Quickly, he turned to the now waking Nightmare and tried his best to numb the pain with his magic. The 5-year-old quickly clung to Dream's hand, since his golden magic was warm and Nightmare was feeling cold. He tried his best at a soft smile.

"Hi, Sunshine."

"S-Sunshine...?" His voice was so quiet, "Is that m-my name...?"

"No, it isn't... you don't remember?"

"Remember wh-what...?"

"Anything..."

Dream's mouth pressed into a line when the child shook his head, then he came up with an idea.

"Well... your name is Alacrity."

"A-Alacrity...? What's that mean...?"

"Positivity. You're my little brother, after all, so you need to have a name like mine."

"So... wh-what's your name th-then...?"

"Dream."

"I-It's nice to meet y-you, Dream... even if... we've m-met before..."

Someone dared me to make a Freshmare/Frightmare (FreshxNightmare) shipchild.

I dont really find the ship cute, I tend to stay away from characters like ink,error,fresh,nightmare and dream because their pretty overrated in my opinion (pleasedonthateme) but I enjoyed making a child and it did bring me to sorta like the ship- (because I love rarepair ships)

Anyways meet Paralysis!!

I dont know much about fresh and nightmare, but im working in paralysis' lore now💅💅

Here are a few little notes ive jotted down about him though

Paralysis doesnt show a lot of emotion, but when he does its mostly jealousy or greed (very little does he experience happiness)

Paralysis basically grew up alone, so he isnt very educated and had a rough childhood. (Meaning he cant talk well and his manners are non-existent)

He wears the goofy drooping eye springs glasses because he realized they freaked people out.

He gets energy by scaring people, but only does it if he is feeling down in the dumps💃

Also he is pretty uncultured so shush dont confuse him with memes or modern refrences💅

uhm, no.

well, technically, he was originally a fatal/swap child but i discarded that idea.

he's now just a very broken swap!sans. and was broken by femme_fatale and not fatal_error.

if i were ya, and if i've gotten that far to that specific deeply buried years old tidbit concept where it says code_blue was originally a shipchild, i'd read some more, research some more before sending an ask because the answer might already be there if i just look hard enough since i seem to be very interested in this particular character so much. also you have bad reputation here so, im not exactly very happy to spoon-feed you answers and you already know it to yourself why.
